  SPEAKER_00: I didn't grow up with a relationship with Jesus, and I spent years struggling physically, mentally, emotionally, trying to figure out life on my own.

  SPEAKER_00: Now I'm living a life of purpose, rooted in faith, and building something far beyond just business.

  SPEAKER_00: So today we're going verse by verse through Luke 6 and unpacking how it's not only transformed my spiritual life, but also how it appear applies to leadership, business, and life.

  SPEAKER_00: Let's start with some hitting heavy hitting verses.

  SPEAKER_00: Luke six and twenty-seven to thirty-one it says, But to you who are listening, I say, Love your enemies.

  SPEAKER_00: Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you, and if someone slaps you on one cheek, turn them, turn to them the other also.

  SPEAKER_00: If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.

  SPEAKER_00: Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes it belongs to you, do not demand it back.

  SPEAKER_00: This doesn't sound like typical business advice.

  SPEAKER_00: Here's the deal.

  SPEAKER_00: When I first started in sales, zero base salary, all commission, I was in survival mode.

  SPEAKER_00: I saw everyone as competition.

  SPEAKER_00: I didn't care about relationships.

  SPEAKER_00: I cared about winning.

  SPEAKER_00: Took me a while to realize that winning without integrity and love means nothing.

  SPEAKER_00: I used to hold grudges when people mistreated me or when deals didn't go through, but as I grew in my faith, this verse challenged me.

  SPEAKER_00: When I started loving my enemies, whether I meant difficult clients, competitors, or even people in my personal life, I saw a shift.

  SPEAKER_00: Loving those who hate you doesn't mean letting them walk all over you.

  SPEAKER_00: It means rising above the situation.

  SPEAKER_00: It's servant leadership at its core.

  SPEAKER_00: You don't retaliate.

  SPEAKER_00: Instead, you give grace.

  SPEAKER_00: This changed how I do business.

  SPEAKER_00: I stopped obsessing over revenge or getting even, and instead focused on how I could serve others.

  SPEAKER_00: And guess what?

  SPEAKER_00: That is when my business for relationships deepened.

  SPEAKER_00: People want to work with those they trust, and trust comes from love and integrity.

  SPEAKER_00: Next let's move to verses 37 and 38.

  SPEAKER_00: Do not judge and you will not be judged.

  SPEAKER_00: Do not condemn and you will not be condemned.

  SPEAKER_00: Forgive and you will be forgiven.

  SPEAKER_00: Give and it will be given to you.

  SPEAKER_00: A good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap.

  SPEAKER_00: For the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

  SPEAKER_00: Here's the hard truth.

  SPEAKER_00: How often do we judge others in our daily lives?

  SPEAKER_00: And not just people we meet, but clients, co-workers, even friends and family in business.

  SPEAKER_00: I used to compare myself constantly.
• 3:57
  SPEAKER_00: I judge others based on success, and if someone was ahead of me, I'd feel bitter.

  SPEAKER_00: But then this first hit me.

  SPEAKER_00: It's not my job to judge.

  SPEAKER_00: It's my job to serve.

  SPEAKER_00: When I stopped worrying about what others were doing and started focusing on how I could grow and give more, it flipped the script for me.

  SPEAKER_00: When I launched my personal development community, I had to let go of the idea that I needed to be the most successful person in the room.

  SPEAKER_00: My job was to serve, to bring people together, to lead with humility and to build something for God's kingdom.

  SPEAKER_00: When you stop measuring your worth based on others and start pouring into people, giving generously, forgiving quickly, God promises abundance in return.

  SPEAKER_00: You see, generosity isn't just about money, it's about time, energy, and love.

  SPEAKER_00: The more you give without expecting something in return, the more blessings you receive.

  SPEAKER_00: Trust me on this one.

  SPEAKER_00: This applies to business just as much as it does to your spiritual walk.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, one of my favorite parts of Luke 6 is towards the end in verses 46 to 49, it says, Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

  SPEAKER_00: As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

  SPEAKER_00: They are like a man building a house who dug down deep and laid a foundation on a rock.

  SPEAKER_00: When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it because it was well built.

  SPEAKER_00: But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.

  SPEAKER_00: The moment a torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.

  SPEAKER_00: This one speaks directly to how we built our lives and our businesses.

  SPEAKER_00: Before I gave my life to Christ, my foundation my foundation was shaking at best.

  SPEAKER_00: I was building on sand, chasing money, success, and status, but none of it was anchored in anything lasting.

  SPEAKER_00: And then when the storms of life came, everything felt like it was falling apart.

  SPEAKER_00: But when I built my foundation on Christ, everything changed.

  SPEAKER_00: My business now is rooted in servant leadership and giving and glorifying God.

  SPEAKER_00: I've shut down businesses that weren't aligned with my calling.

  SPEAKER_00: I've pivoted, doubled down on public speaking, and started writing my book.

  SPEAKER_00: Not because it's easy, but because I know that my foundation is strong and what challenges come and they will come.

  SPEAKER_00: We waste so much time comparing and judging other than instead focus on giving your time, your energy, your resources.

  SPEAKER_00: I stay grounded by constantly reminding myself of my foundation.

  SPEAKER_00: I make time every day to connect with God through prayer and reading the word.

  SPEAKER_00: I also surround myself with people who keep me accountable and remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing.

  SPEAKER_00: I've said before that I wanted to be a trillionaire.

  SPEAKER_00: But I've what I've learned about ambition is that ambition without purpose is empty.

  SPEAKER_00: My goals are still big, but now they're aligned with God's will.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm building not for myself, but for the kingdom.

  SPEAKER_00: When your ambition is aligned with your faith, you'll find purpose, and with purpose comes peace.
