Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's gonna be a good day. We do love a
- 0:05Speaker 1: game seven real quick before we get it figure out.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm trying to figure out my lock of the day
- 0:10Speaker 2: because it's really hard when there's only one bet or
- 0:14Speaker 2: one game to bet on Crawd.
- 0:15Speaker 3: So I'm sorry, I apologize.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Guess what we're about to have that for the next
- 0:19Speaker 1: four to seven game.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I know, but it makes it really tough.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It does? It does? I'm with you. We'll do that later.
- 0:26Speaker 1: AJ will figure his out in the meantime, real quick
- 0:28Speaker 1: before we start. Did you guys know that it's the
- 0:32Speaker 1: one hundred and fiftieth season of MLB. I've seen that
- 0:37Speaker 1: in multiple articles over the weekend. I hadn't seen it
- 0:40Speaker 1: anywhere else. I read a lot a lot of baseball.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I haven't seen it anywhere. So I'm wondering why I
- 0:46Speaker 1: hadn't seen it until now. Kratz, had you seen that?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Not once? Not until you texted it.
- 0:54Speaker 4: It's crazy like it that'd be something I remember when
- 0:55Speaker 4: it was one twenty five and you got your Louisville
- 0:58Speaker 4: bats and each Louisville had like this massive one twenty five,
- 1:03Speaker 4: one hundred and twenty five years like stamp on the bat, like,
- 1:07Speaker 4: I thought it was pretty cool one fifty. Why is
- 1:10Speaker 4: it not being celebrated? What are we trying to what
- 1:12Speaker 4: are we trying to avoid?
- 1:14Speaker 5: Wait?
- 1:14Speaker 4: Were you playing in two thousand? No, we got we
- 1:17Speaker 4: got bats. We got bats from I forget what it was,
- 1:21Speaker 4: but I wasn't in pro ball yet, but it was
- 1:24Speaker 4: like the coolest bat. I was like, oh man, I
- 1:26Speaker 4: need to have I need to have these kind of bats.
- 1:29Speaker 3: If I get drafted.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Well I didn't get drafted till two thousand and two.
- 1:34Speaker 3: No, that's weird because I remember this.
- 1:36Speaker 4: They might have a bat from two thousand, but I
- 1:38Speaker 4: thought it was Louisville's hundred and twenty fifth years when
- 1:40Speaker 4: they put the big one twenty five on it, that's
- 1:43Speaker 4: who you Well, maybe it might have been. I thought
- 1:46Speaker 4: it was Louisville had the big one twenty five thing.
- 1:48Speaker 4: That was what it was because I used to be
- 1:51Speaker 4: I thought it said I thought it said I had
- 1:54Speaker 4: the Louisville Well whatever, who cares? But anyways, I'm just
- 1:56Speaker 4: happy from this weekend I didn't have to get a tattoo.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Other than that, everything, we're gonna make sure we have
- 2:01Speaker 1: time for that. I want to I want to get
- 2:02Speaker 1: a few minutes on that that whole storyline, since we
- 2:05Speaker 1: didn't really get to it last week. And also I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: already gonna not correct myself, but it looks like MLB
- 2:10Speaker 1: celebrated one fifty and twenty nineteen, but they said eighteen
- 2:16Speaker 1: seventy six was the first season, and that is one
- 2:21Speaker 1: hundred and fifty years ago. There's nuance in here. I'm
- 2:26Speaker 1: in like a rabbit hole with online AI right now
- 2:30Speaker 1: looking all of this stuff up for me, and I'm
- 2:32Speaker 1: getting confused, so I'm gonna.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Drop it smart.
- 2:37Speaker 1: They started counting too much for me, so I'm out
- 2:41Speaker 1: of it. But I did see it in multiple articles,
- 2:43Speaker 1: like you know, one hundred and fifty years of baseball.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Maybe they were rounding a little bit. Maybe not, don't
- 2:49Speaker 1: care anymore. Let's talk about Game seven, charging about we
- 2:56Speaker 1: are charging the mound. We're presented by Lids. They'll be
- 2:59Speaker 1: a number on the screen that you'll see later and
- 3:02Speaker 1: if you text it, you'll get a nice discount over
- 3:04Speaker 1: at Lid's ALCS Game seven preview. We did about twenty
- 3:10Speaker 1: five minutes of a postgame show after Game six. AJ
- 3:13Speaker 1: and I watching that one and commenting on it. So
- 3:16Speaker 1: Kratz get me ready for Game seven? What do you
- 3:18Speaker 1: think you've got Shane Bieber matching up with George Kirby.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Bieber looked good last time around. George Kirby is a
- 3:25Speaker 1: very good picture. He did not look good last time around.
- 3:28Speaker 1: What are your expectations for this one and how would
- 3:30Speaker 1: you manage it?
- 3:33Speaker 4: I would manage it that I have two really good
- 3:35Speaker 4: pictures on the mound, But I would manage it with
- 3:36Speaker 4: my eyes and I wouldn't manage it with the predisposed
- 3:40Speaker 4: idea of, oh, yeah, you know, any kind of trouble
- 3:45Speaker 4: in the second inning, I'm taking George Kirby out. It
- 3:48Speaker 4: feels like the manager roles have kind of flipped where
- 3:51Speaker 4: it's like John Schneider was the one who had the
- 3:53Speaker 4: quick trigger, and now all of a sudden, John Schneider's like,
- 3:56Speaker 4: I trust this guy. I trust this guy to get
- 3:58Speaker 4: out of this gym. And Dan Wilson's the one that's like,
- 4:02Speaker 4: I trust this guy. Wait no, I'm gonna get him.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I'm gonna go get it. Wait no, he get up
- 4:06Speaker 4: that many runs like it just feels like it feels
- 4:08Speaker 4: like he's.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Kind of reversed a little bit.
- 4:11Speaker 4: And so that's why I have no idea what's gonna
- 4:13Speaker 4: happen tonight, but I don't see another stinker from George Kirby.
- 4:17Speaker 4: I feel like good pictures like this step up. I
- 4:22Speaker 4: feel like Shane Bieber is also gonna have a great game.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I don't feel like it's gonna be high scoring, so
- 4:27Speaker 4: that means it's gonna be thirteen to twelve.
- 4:32Speaker 3: And also here here's here's here's the thing.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Yeah, Josh Schider has to be give his starter as
- 4:37Speaker 4: more leeway because his bullpen is worse than the Mariners bullpen.
- 4:40Speaker 5: That's why.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Because Dan Wilson's like, I got all these dudes I
- 4:42Speaker 2: can run to for any plus Bizardo Brash Spire Munios
- 4:50Speaker 2: Munos hasn't pitched in three days.
- 4:51Speaker 3: He might go four innings tonight, and he has given
- 4:53Speaker 3: up a hit like all postseason or what. I don't know.
- 4:55Speaker 4: I know he has, but it's like crazy, but he's
- 4:57Speaker 4: done this postseason, so I mean he might run him
- 5:00Speaker 4: out there for four innings if he can.
- 5:02Speaker 2: It's I don't think Kirby's out there long enough unless
- 5:06Speaker 2: he's just even if he I bet you he went
- 5:08Speaker 2: five no hit, perfect innings, they'd probably take him out
- 5:10Speaker 2: of the game.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And also if there's traffic, there's.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Any traffic, they're gonna get him out right away. Yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 3: the whole thing.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it used to be Shiner, but now Shiner's hand
- 5:18Speaker 2: is forced because his bullpen's not as good as.
- 5:21Speaker 3: That's the one.
- 5:22Speaker 4: That's the one thing I didn't like from last night,
- 5:25Speaker 4: Jeff Hoffman getting two innings of work.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You wanted one.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Or none. I mean, I know, but.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You got to win the game. Now, that's like a
- 5:38Speaker 1: postseason save situation when you're up four.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Okay, I'm not I'm not disagreeing with you on the
- 5:46Speaker 4: one inning. I'm definitely saying did not want him out
- 5:49Speaker 4: there for two innings. I'm taking back to the sixteen
- 5:52Speaker 4: World Series where Joe Madden got like a five or
- 5:56Speaker 4: six run lead in Game six and he ran Chapman
- 5:59Speaker 4: back out there for his second enming. Obviously Chapman was
- 6:03Speaker 4: gonna he came in the eighth, and then e Raaldus
- 6:05Speaker 4: Chapman came back out in the ninth to finish the game,
- 6:07Speaker 4: but the game was kind of out of hand, and
- 6:10Speaker 4: then they brought him out again in Game seven, and
- 6:12Speaker 4: people were like, Oh, there's no such thing as tired. Okay,
- 6:15Speaker 4: maybe you're not tired because you're running on adrenaline, but
- 6:19Speaker 4: the boys are seeing you a little bit more.
- 6:21Speaker 3: More.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Guys saw Jeff Hoffman last night, and I just I don't.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Like that part.
- 6:26Speaker 4: For I would say there's a slam dunk win for
- 6:28Speaker 4: the Jays if it wasn't for that, because I think
- 6:30Speaker 4: Hoffman's going to be out there for five six batters. Again,
- 6:39Speaker 4: I don't know, we'll see George Carby really struggles on
- 6:42Speaker 4: the road. I know that, and well a lot of
- 6:44Speaker 4: time starters struggle on the road.
- 6:46Speaker 2: So the only guy that really has pitched really well
- 6:48Speaker 2: for the Mariners has been Bryce Miller, and this whole
- 6:51Speaker 2: series is a starter.
- 6:52Speaker 3: The rest of the starters have got pretty much bombed.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So Bryce, my pitch, Why aren't you starting him?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yes it's on two days, right, but still.
- 7:01Speaker 1: But he can pitch an any or two wo Yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 1: It'll be.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Interesting to see how Wu, if Wu pitches, how he
- 7:06Speaker 4: does because he hasn't pitched. He hadn't pitched for a while,
- 7:09Speaker 4: and he threw out of the bullpen and now he's
- 7:10Speaker 4: gonna have to get up after a couple of days.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know, I don't think It's going to be interesting
- 7:14Speaker 2: to me how they how these guys because they have
- 7:16Speaker 2: starters at their disposal, how both managers decided to deploy
- 7:18Speaker 2: is will we see Chris Bassett, Well, we see Max Schurzer.
- 7:20Speaker 3: What we see anyone not named Logan Gilbert for the Mariners?
- 7:24Speaker 3: I mean they can bring them all in.
- 7:25Speaker 1: They can, and the Blue Jays can do this too.
- 7:27Speaker 1: They can get crafty. Chris Bassett, Max Schurzer. Here's the thing.
- 7:31Speaker 1: You're in a game seven and being battle tested does help.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You've got some gritty vets on the Blue Jays. We
- 7:39Speaker 1: might be able to pick up three six nine outs
- 7:42Speaker 1: for you to help a mediocre bullpen. Those guys might help.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Agreed, Well, last time actually had the bullpen in a
- 7:49Speaker 3: playoff game. It didn't go.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Good, true, but he looked good the other day.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I agree, Listen, he'll do it. He wants to do it.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Would you use those guys?
- 7:59Speaker 3: I try to stay away from them if I could.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Okay, I wouldn't go into it and say I wouldn't
- 8:03Speaker 4: go into it and say, hey, we have to use
- 8:04Speaker 4: Chris Bassett, we have to use Max Sures, we have
- 8:06Speaker 4: to use you know, whoever, Luis Castillo, we have to
- 8:10Speaker 4: use Bryce Miller, we have to use Brian Wu. I mean,
- 8:12Speaker 4: I'd play it off the game, how the game is
- 8:13Speaker 4: going and we're winning, we have a lead, Like, let's
- 8:16Speaker 4: just go with my guys that are used to holding
- 8:18Speaker 4: down a lead for me. I don't need to just
- 8:20Speaker 4: just because they're like I feel like sometimes managers get
- 8:23Speaker 4: to a point where they're like, well, I have all
- 8:24Speaker 4: these weapons at my disposal, I just have to use
- 8:26Speaker 4: them just because they're there, Like, you don't.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Have to use them. I mean if I goes fifteen
- 8:31Speaker 3: innings like Game five did in the DS, and yeah,
- 8:33Speaker 3: you might have to use them, but other than that,
- 8:36Speaker 3: you don't have to use them.

- 9:53Speaker 1: you're down three to nothing in the first you pull
- 9:55Speaker 1: the starter. Now you got to eat the rest of
- 9:57Speaker 1: the game, and you're trailing, and you're just like, here
- 10:00Speaker 1: we go. I need every arm available to try and
- 10:03Speaker 1: keep ourselves afloat.
- 10:05Speaker 4: This is where this is where knowing the links really
- 10:08Speaker 4: will give you an idea of who they would bring in.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Like let's say team goes down three nothing, and now
- 10:14Speaker 4: you got the bottom of the lineup. You are looking
- 10:18Speaker 4: to shut you know, shut down the bottom of the
- 10:20Speaker 4: lineup with probably not your top end guys. And then
- 10:25Speaker 4: as soon as that top of the top of the
- 10:27Speaker 4: order comes back through, your top end guys hits them.
- 10:30Speaker 4: And then you you know, if you have a window
- 10:32Speaker 4: there where you're gonna put in somebody like you talk
- 10:34Speaker 4: about Bassett or Sures or if they're available, or how
- 10:36Speaker 4: they're feeling about it, then again that bottom of the
- 10:39Speaker 4: order and then back to the top again, you're not
- 10:41Speaker 4: gonna have. You're not gonna have Bassett face cal Rawley,
- 10:46Speaker 4: You're not gonna have if they're down, you're gonna have.
- 10:48Speaker 4: You're gonna have the top guys. You're gonna have Louis Varlin,
- 10:51Speaker 4: who's pitched all the time, face all those guys. So
- 10:55Speaker 4: it's how many times through do you have four top
- 10:58Speaker 4: guys to go through the order and you're always facing
- 11:02Speaker 4: that heart of the heart of the.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Order every day, Louis, should you pitch to Vladdie at all?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Should Gladdie see anything?
- 11:11Speaker 4: I couldn't find it, but that one was going to
- 11:13Speaker 4: be my lock of the day and I couldn't find
- 11:14Speaker 4: it on the.
- 11:14Speaker 1: On the one walk? Well why would you put that
- 11:18Speaker 1: up there?
- 11:18Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know, but I mean that was
- 11:20Speaker 3: I was. That's what I was. When we came on,
- 11:22Speaker 3: I was like, where is the one walk? Well?
- 11:23Speaker 1: How about this over under? Vladdie walks tonight one and
- 11:28Speaker 1: a half over all? Right, okay, well here's my.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Question about walk plus hit by pitch oh last night.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I know he was pissed too.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, well should you see he should be?
- 11:43Speaker 4: Did you see the postgame comments by George Kirby? The
- 11:48Speaker 4: question was how do you how do you face Vladimir Guerrero?
- 11:52Speaker 4: And normally it's like, well, he's a good hitter. You know,
- 11:54Speaker 4: we'll do this that. He's like, you gotta get inside.
- 11:58Speaker 4: I don't know about you a j but game seven,
- 12:01Speaker 4: some guys you're like, I don't, I don't. I don't
- 12:04Speaker 4: throw inside because you don't really need to. He's always
- 12:06Speaker 4: off the plate. To me, if they don't move Laddie's
- 12:10Speaker 4: feet because I don't feel like he's his Even.
- 12:12Speaker 3: When he got hit yesterday, he just turned him.
- 12:15Speaker 4: He was just like that. His feet haven't moved. If
- 12:18Speaker 4: the Mariners aren't gonna walk, laddie, you got to move
- 12:22Speaker 4: his feet. You might get up and in on him,
- 12:26Speaker 4: but if he stays balanced, it's not to me. It's
- 12:29Speaker 4: not enough. You gotta make his feet move. You gotta
- 12:31Speaker 4: make him uncomfortable.
- 12:33Speaker 2: How you're gonna move his feet. Let's unless you throw
- 12:35Speaker 2: out him. Because he it's all right, he's for the Mariners.
- 12:38Speaker 2: He's not facing he's not facing game spire. I mean,
- 12:41Speaker 2: if he is, there's a big lead or they're a
- 12:43Speaker 2: big deficit, and they're probably putting him on at that point.
- 12:45Speaker 3: So I mean, who's gonna who's gonna You.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Know, Kirby throws that four seamer up, he's not gonna
- 12:50Speaker 2: run him one in on his and he looks comfortable,
- 12:54Speaker 2: he looks I.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Mean, they try to go in. Guys don't know how
- 12:57Speaker 3: to pitch, and so I don't know.
- 13:00Speaker 4: I don't know what they're gonna do with them, but
- 13:02Speaker 4: I know there's gonna be at least one time where
- 13:03Speaker 4: they put them on. It has to be if if
- 13:06Speaker 4: Lucas in Springer get on, they have to because Kirk
- 13:09Speaker 4: has been.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Kirk's on the struggle bus right now, man, I.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Would say any spots besides what base is empty?
- 13:15Speaker 4: Yeah, even then if you don't want to give up
- 13:17Speaker 4: that run. But Kirk has been on the struggle bus.
- 13:19Speaker 4: He has he hasn't hit.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Yeah, anything you're worried about.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yesterday he had that four. He had that just like
- 13:27Speaker 4: three foot foul ball off the wall. I think I
- 13:31Speaker 4: think Dalton Varshow if there's two, if there's a guy
- 13:34Speaker 4: from either side, I think Dalton Varshow at some point
- 13:37Speaker 4: becomes a huge part of this game for the Jays.
- 13:41Speaker 4: And I think and I think like a Polanco or
- 13:45Speaker 4: cam Zone become some type of big part for the
- 13:48Speaker 4: Maritters for either if whoever's gonna win, because you just
- 13:52Speaker 4: can't let the other guys beat you. That's it. It
- 13:55Speaker 4: sounds sounds, sounds remedial, but that's that's where this game seven.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Is Andy And the chat said Ernie Clement is the
- 14:04Speaker 1: most dangerous hitter in the ALCS. I just wanted to
- 14:06Speaker 1: say his name too. He's been one of my favorites
- 14:08Speaker 1: to watch. I like his game, swinging at most things,
- 14:14Speaker 1: making contact that most things. I mean he's hitting what
- 14:16Speaker 1: for something or whatever.
- 14:18Speaker 3: In the playoffs.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he is. I like him. And someone we had
- 14:21Speaker 1: on recently said he's the one they think of, like
- 14:24Speaker 1: the quote no namers that broke out this year that
- 14:26Speaker 1: actually has some good lasting power.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I think is going to stay around.
- 14:30Speaker 1: No, stay around. Yes, but he thinks like Clement could
- 14:33Speaker 1: really blossom in the league, right.
- 14:36Speaker 4: I mean, they don't really have that many guys that
- 14:37Speaker 4: nobody's heard about if you've ever watched baseball. I mean
- 14:39Speaker 4: they got a lot of other guys. I mean other
- 14:41Speaker 4: than Barser and Clement, who else that no one knows about?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Lucas Yeah, I mean those guys all this year really,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I mean.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Springer, Kirk, Vladdie, shit, Andre Simenez has been around for
- 14:53Speaker 4: a minute.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Yeah, they got some dudes. Var Show has been around
- 14:55Speaker 3: for a while. It's not like these these are just
- 14:57Speaker 3: out of nowhere guys.
- 14:58Speaker 1: No, It's like it's like four role play that have
- 15:00Speaker 1: really emerged now and made them a more complete lineup
- 15:03Speaker 1: those guys that we're talking about. Anyway, we'll talk much
- 15:05Speaker 1: more about the ALCS. Let's take a quickie break and
- 15:09Speaker 1: swing back with Joe Girardi coming up, But first text

- 15:18Speaker 1: any US led Star support ft. Very simple, just to
- 15:21Speaker 1: text the word territory to two nine zero one seven. Kratz,
- 15:26Speaker 1: what would you have done instead of Hoffman for two
- 15:29Speaker 1: innings there? And also what did you think of Brandon
- 15:32Speaker 1: Little in the game the game before that in that
- 15:36Speaker 1: spot instead of Hoffman? And how they said, oh, Hoffman
- 15:38Speaker 1: gives a homer, so we wanted to avoid him there.
- 15:41Speaker 1: But he's also your relief face even though as AJ
- 15:44Speaker 1: and I talked about yesterday, he's not like a top
- 15:47Speaker 1: ten fifteen closer in baseball, but he's the best that
- 15:50Speaker 1: they have and he does get swing and miss.
- 15:53Speaker 4: That's what makes me question them using them for two
- 15:55Speaker 4: innings last night is they didn't when they had Little
- 15:59Speaker 4: in there, and then they used him last night for
- 16:03Speaker 4: two innings. Do they not see him as the way
- 16:07Speaker 4: that we see him, like we're just talking about him,
- 16:09Speaker 4: like I get it. He's not like the shutdown closer
- 16:12Speaker 4: even when he was last year before the postseason, he
- 16:16Speaker 4: was ridiculous, like he was going months without giving anything up,
- 16:19Speaker 4: So maybe they don't see him as that guy that
- 16:21Speaker 4: you're like, hey, we're going shut down closer, because maybe
- 16:26Speaker 4: they don't trust him. Maybe they don't trust his that
- 16:29Speaker 4: spot there, I don't know. But who would I have used.
- 16:32Speaker 4: I don't remember who all was left? Still, I would
- 16:36Speaker 4: have tried to find because it was six two six
- 16:39Speaker 4: two in the eighth, yes, but nobody was on or
- 16:42Speaker 4: was there one runner on? I'm forgetting the situation in
- 16:47Speaker 4: the eighth when when he came.
- 16:48Speaker 1: In, and I remember if there was traffic, I don't.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Remember either, so I can't say and.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Clean Oh yeah, did he start the eighth? So that's
- 17:01Speaker 4: where else, that's where our surprise. He started the eighth
- 17:04Speaker 4: with a four run lead.
- 17:05Speaker 3: But I get it.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Hey, Joe Jerriardy's on Found Territory, Joe, great time you're on.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Good to see you. How you been?
- 17:11Speaker 6: Yeah, great to see you. How have you guys been?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Damn well? We're holding up?
- 17:16Speaker 5: Yeah right?
- 17:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:17Speaker 1: You enjoying the postseason? You know?
- 17:20Speaker 6: I am? You know it has it went exactly according
- 17:24Speaker 6: to plan I thought Seattle, I mean I thought their
- 17:27Speaker 6: pitching would fare better than it's had. I'm actually surprised
- 17:31Speaker 6: that it's gotten back to this, but there've been exciting
- 17:35Speaker 6: games and it's kind of neat for me to watch
- 17:38Speaker 6: uh Toronto because a Dulton barshow Gary Barshaw was my
- 17:42Speaker 6: first roommate in the big leagues and we've kept in
- 17:45Speaker 6: touch over the years, so it's kind of neat to
- 17:47Speaker 6: see that.
- 17:48Speaker 4: We again roommates in the big leagues. Yeah, yeah, thank
- 17:53Speaker 4: god I was after that. Thank god I missed up
- 17:55Speaker 4: my bund. It was like ninety five. When ninety five
- 17:59Speaker 4: I think when they stop the roommates after the strike.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Oh yes. And Gary Barshaw used to get on all
- 18:04Speaker 6: the time because I would order a pizza every night
- 18:06Speaker 6: after the game, and he's like, man, I'm gonna get fat.
- 18:08Speaker 6: I'm not. I'm not worried about you eating pizza.
- 18:14Speaker 1: By the pizza self discipline. Let's go okay, So ain't
- 18:17Speaker 1: nobody listen.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Ain't nobody sitting there in the roommate orders of pizza
- 18:20Speaker 2: and doesn't need some of the pizza.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I'm sorry. There's just no way unless unless you're allergic
- 18:24Speaker 3: to pizza.
- 18:25Speaker 4: What Scott is in good Times, which also Scott is
- 18:28Speaker 4: everyone's gonna try a pizza.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Pizza can I just get a pizza? Pizza?
- 18:35Speaker 6: You say, just have one piece, you don't need to
- 18:38Speaker 6: have hand.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah, but once you get you know, once that cheese
- 18:42Speaker 3: touches your.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Live bread and oh you know you know you want
- 18:46Speaker 2: more than will one could just it's like a laced
- 18:47Speaker 2: potato chim You just can't have one.
- 18:49Speaker 1: No, No, that's fair, that's fair, Uh, Joe. First question
- 18:53Speaker 1: baseball wise for you Game seven. You've been in a
- 18:56Speaker 1: bunch of key spots both as a player and a manager.
- 18:59Speaker 1: But on the man side here, how do you draw
- 19:02Speaker 1: this one up in your head going into tonight? And
- 19:05Speaker 1: I mean if you want to get into like more
- 19:07Speaker 1: of the big picture part of it or the details
- 19:10Speaker 1: for you know, how Seattle should do this, how Toronto
- 19:12Speaker 1: should do this?
- 19:15Speaker 6: Well, I think you always draw it up. You're going
- 19:17Speaker 6: to get six innings out of your starter is how
- 19:20Speaker 6: you do it, and then you go from there, which
- 19:22Speaker 6: you have left in the bullpen Hoffin, as you said,
- 19:25Speaker 6: through two innings yesterday, But I would think he'd be
- 19:28Speaker 6: available for more than just three outs. And you look
- 19:30Speaker 6: at your relievers, and then you look at matchups and
- 19:34Speaker 6: who matches up best in those situations, And I would
- 19:37Speaker 6: not be afraid to use, you know, a couple of
- 19:41Speaker 6: starters in there if I had to, if I don't
- 19:43Speaker 6: get you know, the six innings, but I would prefer
- 19:46Speaker 6: to use my relievers. The thing with Toronto's relievers is
- 19:50Speaker 6: it has not been a knockdown bullpen for the year,
- 19:54Speaker 6: and there's probably sometimes a little bit of trepidation. But
- 19:57Speaker 6: he's gotten this far with him, so I think you
- 19:59Speaker 6: have to go with them.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Okay. So I got to ask this.
- 20:02Speaker 2: You said that you want to get six innings. Will
- 20:05Speaker 2: nobody gets six innings o their starters anymore? Joe, you
- 20:07Speaker 2: know this, It's run to the bullpit. Oh no, there's
- 20:09Speaker 2: a guy on first. There's a guy on first. We
- 20:12Speaker 2: gotta go, we gotta we gotta get our guy. It's like,
- 20:14Speaker 2: oh my gosh, oh we have we have relievers that
- 20:17Speaker 2: are starters and starters that are relievers, and we need
- 20:19Speaker 2: to just get everybody in because we have all.
- 20:21Speaker 6: These toys in the baskets.
- 20:22Speaker 3: We have to make sure we use them all so
- 20:24Speaker 3: after the game nobody can ask why we didn't use
- 20:26Speaker 3: this person.
- 20:27Speaker 4: So I find it interesting that as you as a
- 20:29Speaker 4: manager who's managing these games, which says, well, I went
- 20:31Speaker 4: into it thinking my starter was gonna give me six,
- 20:33Speaker 4: where nowadays if the starter gives them three, they're like, oh,
- 20:35Speaker 4: we gotta get him out because one time through.
- 20:39Speaker 6: I think one time. I think the things that analytics
- 20:42Speaker 6: doesn't always measure is they measures you know, the first
- 20:45Speaker 6: time too, the lineup, second time to the line of,
- 20:47Speaker 6: third time, two the line, but it doesn't measure that
- 20:50Speaker 6: I've seen it RELI reliever five times in seven days.
- 20:54Speaker 6: They don't do that, and I think that's where clubs
- 20:57Speaker 6: sometimes get in trouble. They OVEREXPOSEO. The relievers and the
- 21:01Speaker 6: hitters have seen him a number of times, and then
- 21:04Speaker 6: it's like seeing a starter of the fourth time through.
- 21:06Speaker 6: You're used to what he got. So I think I
- 21:09Speaker 6: think at times they don't look at that enough and
- 21:12Speaker 6: it cost them.

- 22:16Speaker 4: Can you see it and explain it? I know I've
- 22:19Speaker 4: watched you in the dugout. I've watched you in the
- 22:21Speaker 4: dugout with the Phillies, with the Yankees. Can you see
- 22:25Speaker 4: when a pitcher has it and you're like, screw that
- 22:28Speaker 4: part of it, I'm gonna keep going, And can you
- 22:31Speaker 4: explain it to somebody?
- 22:32Speaker 3: So?
- 22:32Speaker 4: Could you sit there and go because you do a
- 22:34Speaker 4: good job of explaining it. Can you explain it and
- 22:36Speaker 4: say this is what I'm seeing or is it just
- 22:39Speaker 4: like no, I see the till to see the angle.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Everything's good, and I'm watching their swings.
- 22:44Speaker 6: I'm a manager that like to use everything that was
- 22:47Speaker 6: given to me as part of the decision, and then
- 22:51Speaker 6: I would use my eyes as well. For example, if
- 22:54Speaker 6: you know a guy struggles, maybe pitches seventy five through ninety,
- 22:58Speaker 6: and he starts to lose his stuff, the numbers tell
- 23:00Speaker 6: you that I'm gonna have my red flags up, but
- 23:03Speaker 6: that doesn't tell me that he loses it between seventy
- 23:06Speaker 6: five and ninety every time. Because it's an average. There
- 23:09Speaker 6: are times that he might lose it pitch forty five
- 23:11Speaker 6: through sixty, and there are times he may not lose
- 23:14Speaker 6: it till after it pitch one ten. So it's an average.
- 23:17Speaker 6: So I'm going to watch with my eyes as well.
- 23:19Speaker 6: And when I watch with my eyes, what I'm looking
- 23:21Speaker 6: for is how difficult the abats become. If the first
- 23:24Speaker 6: time through the lineup George Kirby against Toronto, Game three,
- 23:32Speaker 6: the first time through the lineup, it was pretty easy.
- 23:35Speaker 6: Second time the lineup was not very easy. You watch
- 23:38Speaker 6: the swings if all of a sudden, the avats are
- 23:40Speaker 6: getting harder to get through. It's not like strike one
- 23:42Speaker 6: strikes to ball one strikeout or weak contact. All of
- 23:46Speaker 6: a sudden there's four or five fah balls. The counts
- 23:49Speaker 6: are getting long. You know that a pitcher's losing his stuff,
- 23:52Speaker 6: and I think it's time to get him out. And
- 23:54Speaker 6: he still may be getting outs, but to me, you're
- 23:57Speaker 6: flirting with danger. So I'm watching this as well as
- 24:01Speaker 6: what the numbers tell me and using my eyes to
- 24:04Speaker 6: determine when a pitcher's done.
- 24:06Speaker 4: How about your communication with I'm sorry, go ahead, a jay, No,
- 24:10Speaker 4: go ahead? How about your communication with the pitchers that
- 24:13Speaker 4: you are going to in the sense of, you know,
- 24:17Speaker 4: if you're John Schneider, you know Louis Varland is pitched
- 24:21Speaker 4: in nine of ten postseason games. Normally in the regular season,
- 24:25Speaker 4: you're like, hey, how you feel? And as more of
- 24:28Speaker 4: like a gauge. But all that information you've learned and
- 24:32Speaker 4: gained and everything, are you able to still use that
- 24:35Speaker 4: in the postseason Because everyone's like, well, why wouldn't you
- 24:37Speaker 4: go to Louis Varland for two innings? And you're like,
- 24:40Speaker 4: because I think he's gassed.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Yeah, Oh, I am using it. But there's that extra
- 24:46Speaker 6: adrenaline and you have the built in days off that
- 24:48Speaker 6: help you. But he's pitched a lot and Seattle has
- 24:51Speaker 6: seen him a lot, But I got to count on
- 24:54Speaker 6: him for today for one inning. I think the thing
- 24:56Speaker 6: that you can't have to be really careful is when
- 24:59Speaker 6: you get him up, you have to put him in.
- 25:01Speaker 6: You can't get him up sitting down and then get
- 25:04Speaker 6: him up again and sitting down and then get him
- 25:06Speaker 6: up and bring him in. That's not going to work.
- 25:08Speaker 6: You have to know when you're going to pull the
- 25:10Speaker 6: trigger here and when I'm bringing in Louis, I'm getting
- 25:13Speaker 6: him up the one time and he's coming right in,
- 25:15Speaker 6: or I'm not getting him up.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Aj Hinch told us in the last series against Seattle
- 25:22Speaker 4: Joe that he'd rather make a decision one bat or
- 25:25Speaker 4: too early than one bat or two later. Is that
- 25:26Speaker 4: how you have to think about these games as a
- 25:28Speaker 4: manager and then just live with your decision however it goes.
- 25:31Speaker 6: Yes, I think so, because your decision is well thought out.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Your decision is based on a number of factors that
- 25:38Speaker 6: could be where you are in the lineup, how much
- 25:41Speaker 6: success he's had off those guys, how much he's spunk
- 25:44Speaker 6: to him in this series, how fatigued he is, and
- 25:46Speaker 6: you have to live with it because you're making a
- 25:48Speaker 6: decision with all the information you have, the best decision
- 25:51Speaker 6: you can at that time. But guess what, aj there's
- 25:54Speaker 6: a human factor and a guy might hang a pitch,
- 25:57Speaker 6: or a guy he might make a great pitch and
- 25:58Speaker 6: the guy hits it off the end for a squipper
- 26:00Speaker 6: for a base hit, and it produces a run and
- 26:02Speaker 6: leads to a beginning. Those are things that are out
- 26:05Speaker 6: of your control. But you need to make the best
- 26:07Speaker 6: decision you have with the information that you have, and
- 26:10Speaker 6: you have to live with it. And unfortunately for managers today,
- 26:14Speaker 6: everything is heavily scrutinized during the playoffs and you can
- 26:16Speaker 6: make all the right decisions and still lose the game
- 26:20Speaker 6: because the other team's actually trying to win.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Joe, I can't believe what you just said. I just can't.
- 26:25Speaker 4: I can't believe what you just have. Like my mind
- 26:27Speaker 4: is blown right now. Like wait, you can make a
- 26:30Speaker 4: good pitch and a guy still get to hit, or
- 26:32Speaker 4: you can hang on andy and they pop it up sometimes.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Or hit into a double play. No, I can't.
- 26:38Speaker 4: This is you know what, Joe, if you ever want
- 26:40Speaker 4: to be a manager again, you are screwed because of
- 26:42Speaker 4: that quote right there.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Because there's no such thing as the human element.
- 26:45Speaker 4: It is all robots and we all just move and
- 26:48Speaker 4: do exactly what we're supposed to at all times.
- 26:50Speaker 2: And so I am honored that you said that, because
- 26:53Speaker 2: it's nice to hear someone else say it.
- 26:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, it's the bottom line. People are competing
- 26:58Speaker 6: and sometimes for whatever reason. I mean, you think about
- 27:02Speaker 6: a guy like Louis Vauvarlan, he's probably what twenty five
- 27:06Speaker 6: percent more fatigued than he is on a normal day,
- 27:09Speaker 6: and that twenty five percent might have him hang a
- 27:12Speaker 6: slider that turns into a base hit. But he's what
- 27:15Speaker 6: you got and you got to go with it. And
- 27:17Speaker 6: the other team's feeling it too. So this is this
- 27:21Speaker 6: is a time where you got to find a way
- 27:23Speaker 6: to get it done and you hope they can do it.
- 27:26Speaker 3: All right.
- 27:26Speaker 4: We're twenty seven minutes into the show now and we've
- 27:29Speaker 4: only talked like two minutes on the lineups. It's all
- 27:32Speaker 4: been about pitching, and that's what everybody's worried about. You
- 27:35Speaker 4: as a manager, Are you worried about how you stack
- 27:39Speaker 4: your lineup against against the next day starting pitcher, because
- 27:44Speaker 4: I don't really know. Shane Bieber might go two, they
- 27:46Speaker 4: might go three. When you're looking at both of these teams.
- 27:51Speaker 6: Of course I'm worried about how I stack my lineup.
- 27:54Speaker 6: But when you look at Toronto, they're heavily right handed,
- 27:57Speaker 6: so that's how they're going to stack their lineup. And
- 28:00Speaker 6: look at Seattle, they got switch hitters, so it doesn't
- 28:02Speaker 6: really matter to me. The biggest thing is you want
- 28:05Speaker 6: to put enough distance between your lefties where they can't
- 28:10Speaker 6: bring in a lefty and he gets to see both
- 28:13Speaker 6: of them in a three hitter minimum. That's the biggest
- 28:15Speaker 6: thing for me, and I don't really think either team
- 28:18Speaker 6: struggles with that because the construction of their lineups. So
- 28:22Speaker 6: I would just go with what's worked all year long,
- 28:24Speaker 6: and this is what we're doing. This is how we're rolling.
- 28:28Speaker 4: This is the same situation that we were in when
- 28:30Speaker 4: we went into Houston in twenty seventeen. So you felt this,
- 28:34Speaker 4: You felt the three to two lead going into Away Park.
- 28:39Speaker 4: What's the feeling for a manager, like, what's the feeling
- 28:42Speaker 4: because you can see your coaches around you that are
- 28:47Speaker 4: nervous that are not nervous. Do you have to fake
- 28:50Speaker 4: your calmness or you like, you know what, I have
- 28:55Speaker 4: no control over this. I'm just gonna make the best
- 28:57Speaker 4: decisions and hopefully the boys play well.
- 29:00Speaker 6: Eric I did it for my whole playing career. I mean,
- 29:04Speaker 6: you learn how to right.
- 29:06Speaker 5: You know.
- 29:07Speaker 6: I don't think you don't have those jitters in you
- 29:10Speaker 6: and those butterflies. There's something wrong with you because this
- 29:12Speaker 6: is exciting and you care so much and you put
- 29:15Speaker 6: so much into it. I mean, you guys know that.
- 29:19Speaker 6: I mean, it's October whatever it is, twenty first, twenty say,
- 29:21Speaker 6: I don't even know, and people are thinking, Okay, you know,
- 29:24Speaker 6: it's the end of the year. It's the end of
- 29:27Speaker 6: a long year. You guys started training November first. For this,
- 29:30Speaker 6: you went through all of spring training. You know, it's long,
- 29:33Speaker 6: it's hot, it's a grind. You want to get the
- 29:35Speaker 6: season start. Then you go through the grind in the
- 29:37Speaker 6: season and for one of these teams, it's going to abrupt.
- 29:41Speaker 6: It's going to end really quickly, and it's really sad,
- 29:44Speaker 6: and it's a hard pill to swallow because you know
- 29:46Speaker 6: what you have to do the next year to even
- 29:48Speaker 6: get to the playoffs. It's a long, you know, off
- 29:51Speaker 6: season season. So to me, yeah, I just tried to
- 29:55Speaker 6: be the same. I wasn't a real emotional guy. Unless
- 29:58Speaker 6: I got mad. That's when my motions came out.
- 30:00Speaker 1: It wasn't.
- 30:01Speaker 6: I was never real high when I was happy, or
- 30:04Speaker 6: real down when I was low. It's just when I
- 30:06Speaker 6: got mad at an umpire or a situation that I
- 30:09Speaker 6: showed emotion. So for me, it was pretty much what
- 30:12Speaker 6: I grew up seeing in my family, and I just
- 30:14Speaker 6: tried to carry it over.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Joe Crab said, if you would have played him in
- 30:19Speaker 4: twenty seventeen, you guys would have won. He said that
- 30:21Speaker 4: to me the other day, So I'm just like, you.
- 30:22Speaker 6: Know, you would just would have played him, you know why,
- 30:27Speaker 6: as there's a human element to.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It instead of Gary Sanchez.
- 30:32Speaker 2: He swears if he would have hit fourth for that team,
- 30:34Speaker 2: or fifth whatever Sanchez hit, you.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Guys would we would have won. You never know, that's right,
- 30:39Speaker 3: You just never know.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Joe, We got to jump. This was awesome though. Thanks
- 30:43Speaker 1: for stopping by. Great to see it was long overdue.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Hope you enjoyed it.
- 30:47Speaker 6: Have a great night. Hein Snatcher's don't second guess the Catcher.
- 30:52Speaker 3: That's right.
- 30:54Speaker 1: See Joe, Let's take you through the Arena Club slab
- 30:59Speaker 1: pack experience. This is part two because todd Father last
- 31:03Speaker 1: week pulled a card that he didn't love, yet he
- 31:06Speaker 1: sold it back for actually more than what the slab
- 31:09Speaker 1: pack cost. This time pulls a card that he likes.
- 31:13Speaker 5: Yeah, and this is the best part of it. Ronnie Mauricio,
- 31:15Speaker 5: the Mets stand out, you know, rookie sensation. He's been
- 31:18Speaker 5: absolutely phenomenal. I like the itch of seeing what you're
- 31:22Speaker 5: gonna get, you know. I like prospects, I don't love them,
- 31:25Speaker 5: but seeing this kind of card is actually absolutely beautiful thing.
- 31:28Speaker 5: I know a couple of people around town that would
- 31:30Speaker 5: absolutely love that card. So there's gonna be a lot
- 31:32Speaker 5: of conversations going on here for Arena Club.
- 31:34Speaker 1: And what you do is you have it in your
- 31:36Speaker 1: digital showroom. If you want to hand it out locally,
- 31:39Speaker 1: then cool. You ask Arena Club to send it to
- 31:42Speaker 1: you and they do, or you can sell it back
- 31:43Speaker 1: like you see there instant offer for one hundred ninety
- 31:46Speaker 1: three bucks. But he's keeping it. And you can do
- 31:48Speaker 1: what Todd Father does by going to Arena Club dot com,
- 31:51Speaker 1: slash Foul and getting twenty percent off your first card
- 31:53Speaker 1: purchase or your first slab pack purchase. Hey, Ben Nicholson
- 31:58Speaker 1: Smith from Sportsnet is back on in foul Territory. It's
- 32:01Speaker 1: going to be so fun. Man. We are amped for
- 32:04Speaker 1: Game seven in Toronto, and I'll get right to biz
- 32:07Speaker 1: with you and we appreciate the time. How do you
- 32:09Speaker 1: think the pitching is going to play out for John Schneider?
- 32:12Speaker 1: What does the circle of trust look like? What does
- 32:14Speaker 1: the lease look like for Shane Bieber?
- 32:17Speaker 7: Hey, guys, yeah, I think the least for Bieber will
- 32:20Speaker 7: be reasonably long. He was really good in Game three.
- 32:23Speaker 7: They're going to need him to produce for them tonight.
- 32:26Speaker 7: The circle of trust is not that big, I think
- 32:28Speaker 7: elsewhere in this Blue Jay's bullpen. I mean, Schneider publicly
- 32:31Speaker 7: will say that he trusts everyone, he believes in all
- 32:33Speaker 7: these guys, but I don't know that beyond Sir Anthony Dominguez,
- 32:38Speaker 7: Jeff Hoffman, Louis Varland, those seem to be the three
- 32:41Speaker 7: guys that they really trust. Beyond that, it honestly might
- 32:43Speaker 7: be like a Kevin Gosman or even a Maxters are
- 32:45Speaker 7: coming out of the bullpen to bridge that gap.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Like twelve and a half outs long or under twelve
- 32:54Speaker 4: and a half out asking for a friend here, Yeah,
- 33:00Speaker 4: I think.
- 33:01Speaker 7: For Bieber I would take the over on twelve and
- 33:04Speaker 7: a half for Bieber.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, I might have to change my lock here
- 33:08Speaker 3: coming up.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Sorry, uh, but my my real question is is you
- 33:12Speaker 4: talked about a small circle of trust?
- 33:13Speaker 3: I mean Hoffmann through thirty five pitches last night. You
- 33:16Speaker 3: know who else?
- 33:17Speaker 4: Varland looks like he's running on fumesy pitches every day.
- 33:19Speaker 4: I think they brought him in to throw a simulated
- 33:21Speaker 4: game on the off days in this year. Is also
- 33:23Speaker 4: just to make sure he was extra tired. But I
- 33:25Speaker 4: mean who else will they use? I mean, will we
- 33:27Speaker 4: see shures or we keep saying you don't want to
- 33:29Speaker 4: use shures er and you don't use basson unless you
- 33:31Speaker 4: have to, right, I mean who else? I mean, Sir
- 33:34Speaker 4: Anthony di Mingez. I guess I don't think they're bringing
- 33:36Speaker 4: in little right maybe lower? I mean flu hardy. I mean,
- 33:40Speaker 4: where do they go if they if they're into the
- 33:42Speaker 4: sixth inning and they need to figure out I know
- 33:43Speaker 4: what I know you're gonna say. It depends on where
- 33:45Speaker 4: they are in the lineup. But if they have to
- 33:46Speaker 4: get three outs in the sixth inning, who do they
- 33:48Speaker 4: turn to?
- 33:49Speaker 7: I think it would be I think it actually could
- 33:51Speaker 7: be Gosman or Varland. Like obviously, if it's men on base,
- 33:54Speaker 7: you're not going to Kevin Gosman in that situation. I
- 33:56Speaker 7: think if it's meant on base, you probably go to
- 33:58Speaker 7: Varland right there, and he gets you out of the inning.
- 34:00Speaker 7: Then maybe you give Gosman like a clean seventh and
- 34:03Speaker 7: then it's Sir Anthony eighth and Hoffman ninth and hope
- 34:06Speaker 7: for the best, you know, in extra innings, if it
- 34:08Speaker 7: got that far, then you know, maybe you're looking at
- 34:10Speaker 7: a Max Scherzer. Maybe it is an Eric Lauer. But
- 34:12Speaker 7: I think too like there's a possibility early in the
- 34:16Speaker 7: game that if things aren't going well for the Jays
- 34:19Speaker 7: they might have to go to a Chris Bassett earlier.
- 34:21Speaker 7: They might have to go to an Eric Lawer earlier.
- 34:24Speaker 7: And I agree with you, you probably don't go to Brennan
- 34:26Speaker 7: little and leverage the way Game five went. But they
- 34:29Speaker 7: are going to have to trust some guys potentially that
- 34:33Speaker 7: haven't necessarily been dominant in the last little while. And
- 34:35Speaker 7: that's where I just think they need the offense. They
- 34:37Speaker 7: need like a couple of three run homers if they're
- 34:39Speaker 7: going to win this thing, And if they get that,
- 34:42Speaker 7: then maybe they do make it back to the World Series.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, three run homers. They're nice.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Obviously everybody wants three run homers. But do you feel
- 34:50Speaker 4: like if the Jays lose this game it is because
- 34:54Speaker 4: the leash was too long on Shane Bieber? Like, does
- 34:57Speaker 4: that trust level need to be that high? Does we
- 35:00Speaker 4: just go back his last start Julio Rodriguez h's a
- 35:03Speaker 4: two run home run. Uh, he hits a two run
- 35:06Speaker 4: home run tonight? Is he out there to face Julio
- 35:10Speaker 4: Rodriguez again if they don't have a lead.
- 35:14Speaker 7: I think it depends to an extent on how Bieber's
- 35:17Speaker 7: stuff looks, as you guys know. I mean, his slider
- 35:21Speaker 7: has been really good in the postseason. So if the
- 35:23Speaker 7: slider's there and it's more like ninety three ninety four
- 35:26Speaker 7: than ninety two ninety three, then I think there's a
- 35:28Speaker 7: pathway for him to stay in. But the Jay's are
- 35:31Speaker 7: going to have to read this one in real time,
- 35:33Speaker 7: and I think that if the vila is, you know,
- 35:37Speaker 7: hovering more around ninety two, he's not getting swing and miss,
- 35:40Speaker 7: then you just have to make a change.
- 35:42Speaker 1: You just have to go.
- 35:43Speaker 7: And it's going to be uncomfortable, and John Schneider is
- 35:46Speaker 7: going to get booed, just like he did last night
- 35:48Speaker 7: when he took Trey Savage out, And you know it'll
- 35:51Speaker 7: be a tough decision, but I think you have to
- 35:53Speaker 7: be prepared to do that just for the sake of
- 35:56Speaker 7: making sure that the Mariners need to be facing the
- 35:59Speaker 7: best stuff that you can possibly give them, the best
- 36:01Speaker 7: command that you can possibly give them. And it's a
- 36:04Speaker 7: balancing act because this isn't no dominant pitching staff at
- 36:06Speaker 7: this point in time for the Blue Jays, but they've
- 36:10Speaker 7: been able to get the job done like they did
- 36:12Speaker 7: the bullpen game to clinch against the Yankees. There's not
- 36:16Speaker 7: gonna be a bullpen game tonight, but they could rely
- 36:19Speaker 7: on a lot of different arms and it might be
- 36:20Speaker 7: a bit patchwork where you get a bit more Braden Fisher,
- 36:23Speaker 7: you get a bit more amazing flu Hardy, and you
- 36:25Speaker 7: just try to make the pieces work, all.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Right, Ben against anything that's happening in Toronto, the Mariners
- 36:32Speaker 4: are trying to win this game too, So for the Mariners,
- 36:36Speaker 4: they're not going to let Vladimir Guerrero beat them. If
- 36:39Speaker 4: they let him beat them, he will beat them. Who
- 36:42Speaker 4: outside of vlad has to step up tonight for the
- 36:46Speaker 4: Blue Jays lineup.
- 36:49Speaker 7: It's a great question, right because I agree they can't
- 36:51Speaker 7: let him beat them. And last night I was kind
- 36:54Speaker 7: of surprised Dan Wilson let vladd Junior face Logan Gilbert
- 36:58Speaker 7: a third time because that point Gilbert's FILA was down.
- 37:02Speaker 7: You know, I don't think the wave Laddie handled George
- 37:04Speaker 7: Kirby in Game three. He was three for three offen
- 37:06Speaker 7: with a double on a home run. So you probably
- 37:08Speaker 7: don't want to give Laddie too many looks against Kirby
- 37:11Speaker 7: at all, so maybe you're walking him. We almost on
- 37:14Speaker 7: Tander's out. We all know Bobachett's out, and we all
- 37:17Speaker 7: know George Springer's hurt. So it's like someone has to
- 37:19Speaker 7: step up in all this and it's not the easiest.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Thing to predict.
- 37:25Speaker 7: I always look at Allehandra Kirk simply because Kirk is
- 37:28Speaker 7: a guy who has stepped up in these big moments
- 37:32Speaker 7: for the Blue Jays, and everyone is around this team
- 37:34Speaker 7: always says that Kirk. You know, as you guys know
- 37:37Speaker 7: from being around him and being around the game so much,
- 37:40Speaker 7: He's just got one of those slow heart beats. He's
- 37:42Speaker 7: not going to be over stressed out by the moment,
- 37:45Speaker 7: you know. He's kind of built for Game sevens in
- 37:47Speaker 7: that way. So I kind of look to Kirk as
- 37:50Speaker 7: someone not to hit one over the fence, but hit
- 37:53Speaker 7: a double, get a single to the opposite field when
- 37:55Speaker 7: you just need an RBI. Like, he's a guy who
- 37:57Speaker 7: can do that, and the Jays are going to need
- 38:00Speaker 7: that because, like you say, they probably won't be pitching
- 38:02Speaker 7: to vlat all.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Right, So what's what's going on with Kirk? Because he's
- 38:06Speaker 4: someone I mentioned earlier, but he struggled. He struggled. He
- 38:10Speaker 4: hasn't been great in the postseason. Yes, he had the
- 38:11Speaker 4: great first gamer he hit the two room runs, but
- 38:13Speaker 4: other than that, it's been kind of struggles. So you
- 38:16Speaker 4: mentioned he has a slow heartbeat. Maybe is it too
- 38:18Speaker 4: slow to We need to get him some caffeine before
- 38:19Speaker 4: the the game and get him going a little bit
- 38:22Speaker 4: because they need him.
- 38:24Speaker 7: Yeah, they need him for sure. Yeah, uh that's yeah,
- 38:27Speaker 7: that's a good thought.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Kirk.
- 38:29Speaker 7: Caffeinated Kirk could be a sight to see. I don't
- 38:31Speaker 7: even know what that would look like, but I'd be
- 38:34Speaker 7: interested to see it. They need someone to step up,
- 38:37Speaker 7: and this has been the story of their season all
- 38:39Speaker 7: year really, where they've had, you know, Barger come out
- 38:42Speaker 7: of nowhere, Ernie Clement come out of nowhere, Nathan Lucas.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Maybe Clement's another one, because you know, Clement has been
- 38:51Speaker 7: dominant this postseason. He's kind of been Bobachett at a
- 38:54Speaker 7: time that Boba Schett is hurt. Clement's the guy who's
- 38:57Speaker 7: going out and getting two hits tonight and playing great
- 38:59Speaker 7: defense and doing all the things that you would look
- 39:01Speaker 7: for out of an impact infielder. So I could see
- 39:06Speaker 7: Ernie Clement being a big factor because he's just so
- 39:10Speaker 7: tough to pitch to. He's so tough to game plan
- 39:12Speaker 7: for because he's going to swing at everything. You know
- 39:14Speaker 7: you can. You can come up with whatever approach you
- 39:16Speaker 7: want against him. You can put it six inches above
- 39:19Speaker 7: the strike zone. He's still going to swing at it
- 39:21Speaker 7: and probably make contact. So I imagine that's a pretty tough
- 39:24Speaker 7: player to scheme against when he's going really well, and
- 39:29Speaker 7: right now it's going great for Ernie Clement, So I
- 39:31Speaker 7: would look for him as another one, even if Alejandro
- 39:34Speaker 7: Kirk is, you know, not quite accessing that peak form offensively.
- 39:38Speaker 4: I could have easily looked at the weather at but
- 39:40Speaker 4: I'd rather get boots on the ground. Is the roof
- 39:43Speaker 4: open or closed?
- 39:45Speaker 7: So I'm at home right now, but it's a beautiful
- 39:48Speaker 7: day outside. I would think pretty good chance it's open.
- 39:52Speaker 7: There's blue skies. I was just outside earlier and super
- 39:57Speaker 7: nice probably you know, sixty five seventy degrees and you
- 40:01Speaker 7: could one hundred percent play baseball in this with the
- 40:03Speaker 7: roof open, So that'd be pretty cool. But yeah, I
- 40:07Speaker 7: haven't seen the actual roof downtown yet.
- 40:10Speaker 4: What is the what is the your guest of who
- 40:14Speaker 4: throws out the first pitch for Game seven? Because they've
- 40:16Speaker 4: thrown out some They've thrown out some doozies, but I feel.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Like they already played their best hand.
- 40:21Speaker 4: Is Carlos Dogato throwing the first pitch tonight?
- 40:24Speaker 1: Oh? Man?
- 40:25Speaker 7: I would love that. So I would love to hear
- 40:27Speaker 7: your predictions, if you guys have any on this one,
- 40:29Speaker 7: because I've been kind of debating it with a few people.
- 40:32Speaker 7: My prediction is Marco Estrada. I think that's that's what
- 40:38Speaker 7: I foresee. I think it would be cool as hell
- 40:40Speaker 7: to have John Gibbons throw at the first pitch, Orcito
- 40:43Speaker 7: Gaston or Joe Carter. But yeah, my prediction is Marco Withstrada,
- 40:49Speaker 7: and I would love to hear your thoughts if you
- 40:50Speaker 7: guys have any predictions I need.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:54Speaker 2: No, he's a World Series guy. He's a World Series guy. Marcostrada.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Why Marcostrada? Why not Edward and then Carson you know?
- 41:01Speaker 7: And his parent Well, they had Edwin du One earlier
- 41:05Speaker 7: in the series, so they already had Edwin, Kevin Pular, Russell,
- 41:08Speaker 7: Martin Bautista, and I'm missing someone, Oh, Josh Donaldson. They
- 41:12Speaker 7: had Josh Donaldson. So you know they've gone through that
- 41:15Speaker 7: twenty fifteen team. And I agree they'll probably stave like
- 41:18Speaker 7: Cdo and Joe Carter for the World Series if they
- 41:20Speaker 7: get there. So that's where I go to Marco Westradak
- 41:24Speaker 7: because he's one of the really beloved guys from that
- 41:26Speaker 7: team that hasn't thrown the first pitch yet.
- 41:29Speaker 5: No, got it.
- 41:30Speaker 4: I'm thinking, I'm thinking, Paul Mallin, what about Robbie Allen Mark?
- 41:33Speaker 4: Have we got a Robbie Alamars?
- 41:34Speaker 2: I think so he could stay he could stay out
- 41:36Speaker 2: in the hotel and then just throw it from there.
- 41:41Speaker 7: I like Delgatto. Del Gatto would be awesome. He's got
- 41:43Speaker 7: to underrecognized jays.
- 41:45Speaker 3: De Gotto hit the farthest ball I've ever seen in
- 41:47Speaker 3: my life in that place. Yeah.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Oh he hit it over the restaurant centerfeck. Oh my gosh,
- 41:52Speaker 2: he hit it. Oh it was It was impressive.
- 41:54Speaker 6: They love them out there.
- 41:55Speaker 3: He's awesome. He should be in the Hall of Fame
- 41:58Speaker 3: for me.
- 41:58Speaker 4: But I could have done it. I could have done
- 42:01Speaker 4: it because I helped build that fifteen team. I was
- 42:05Speaker 4: in the Liam Hendricks trade that got Liam Hendricks and
- 42:09Speaker 4: me traded away, but then Liam came back because the
- 42:13Speaker 4: Royals were like, we don't want Liam, and so I
- 42:15Speaker 4: helped build that team.
- 42:16Speaker 7: Where are you now, Eric, Is it too late to
- 42:18Speaker 7: get here on time?
- 42:20Speaker 3: I make it. I'll make it.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Yeah, just have just have Paul Beaston, Paul Beaston's uh
- 42:26Speaker 4: private jet.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Come pick me up.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Oh wait, he's not the owner anymore.
- 42:29Speaker 7: Okay, well you know what. We'll see who it is,
- 42:32Speaker 7: but yeah, I think it'll be. It's one of those
- 42:35Speaker 7: cool moments. I actually love first pitches, like when the
- 42:37Speaker 7: Yankees head Hedeki Mats who we do it. I thought
- 42:39Speaker 7: that was really cool. The Mariners had like Randy Johnson
- 42:42Speaker 7: and Jay bun are doing it. It's someone who always
- 42:44Speaker 7: like I like the players from the past. It's just
- 42:46Speaker 7: so cool to see them come back and get that applause.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Yeah, especially when they understand the moment Bautista's firing up
- 42:52Speaker 1: the crowd all that that's cool. If Kratz does it,
- 42:54Speaker 1: he has to explain what he just did so that
- 42:55Speaker 1: anyone would understand what's going on. Hey, guys, I'm here
- 42:58Speaker 1: because I was in this Liam Enter trade. And then
- 43:01Speaker 1: also hope you accept me anyway, Ben, I know you're busy.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Thanks for hopping on, dude. This was great. Enjoy it
- 43:06Speaker 1: out there. It's gonna be awesome. Thanks so much. Guys.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Have fun.
- 43:12Speaker 1: This episode of FT is presented by Fox One, which
- 43:16Speaker 1: is where you can go to watch Game seven of
- 43:19Speaker 1: the Alcs and it is also your destination for the
- 43:23Speaker 1: World series. Actually, Sun numbers, I think it was yesterday.
- 43:26Speaker 1: There have been seven figure number of sign ups for
- 43:29Speaker 1: Fox One, not all due to us, but I think
- 43:33Speaker 1: I think so too. Yeah, you do too, Okay, great,
- 43:37Speaker 1: So even if I don't think so, I'm overruled. Two
- 43:39Speaker 1: out of three, start your seven day free trial at
- 43:42Speaker 1: foxwe dot com. But if you're one of those people
- 43:46Speaker 1: that's like I don't have cable anymore or whatever else right,
- 43:48Speaker 1: and you haven't digested all the sports in the Fox
- 43:52Speaker 1: one app, now is the time. Or maybe you're coming
- 43:55Speaker 1: off a big football weekend and you're like, Okay, I
- 43:57Speaker 1: need to take more control. Fox one is the spot.
- 44:01Speaker 1: But ALCS Game seven is there for you if you're
- 44:03Speaker 1: looking for a streaming option. The app's super smooth, it's
- 44:06Speaker 1: brand new. They've been doing a great job. Thank you.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I need that every time. MLB's most interesting man, well
- 44:16Speaker 1: that title belonged to Shoho Tani on Friday night in
- 44:19Speaker 1: the clincher for the Dodgers. It was an incredible watch.
- 44:24Speaker 1: The highly debated topic that we've had a couple of
- 44:26Speaker 1: days to think about is did he just have the
- 44:30Speaker 1: greatest game in baseball history? Among many others? What's the
- 44:35Speaker 1: debate people are debating it. I want to present them.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Please do because there's nobody in the history of the
- 44:40Speaker 4: game it's ever done what he did. And also go
- 44:42Speaker 4: on the mound and have six innings, ten punches and
- 44:45Speaker 4: give up two hits in a game that clinched them the.
- 44:48Speaker 2: World Series, right, So if you can find someone else
- 44:50Speaker 2: that did that, Scott, let me know, then we haven't argument.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you. First of all, if we just
- 44:54Speaker 1: said overall games and we're just looking at stats, there
- 44:57Speaker 1: are other performances that were in the regular season. You're
- 45:00Speaker 1: gonna say this is posted.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Given to me.
- 45:02Speaker 1: But Rick Wise, no hitter in nineteen seventy home runs, Okay,
- 45:08Speaker 1: I get the playoff.
- 45:10Speaker 3: Part, but just past I don't know exactly.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Tony Klonninger two grand slams in a complete game in
- 45:16Speaker 1: nineteen sixty six, get it? And then you're gonna say
- 45:20Speaker 1: those are regular season right, Okay, so let's wipe that out.
- 45:23Speaker 3: That one's pretty good.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Two grand slams in the CG.
- 45:27Speaker 3: That's pretty good in sixty six.
- 45:28Speaker 1: That's cool. I I've enjoyed the history process of this.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I'm not the biggest history buff. I think this school. Okay,
- 45:34Speaker 1: Now let's fast forward. Let me see if I can
- 45:35Speaker 1: do any convincing here.
- 45:37Speaker 3: I mean, who hasn't hit two grand slams in a game?
- 45:39Speaker 3: I have in a pro game?
- 45:42Speaker 1: Triple a baby triple.
- 45:44Speaker 4: A, I mean Semiro, but still semi pro bro. Still,
- 45:49Speaker 4: I mean, we don't here, we don't need mine.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I know, I know, I'm just saying, apparently it's cloning Juror.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Don't just want to make you who he is. But
- 46:01Speaker 3: he'll be a jerk and get his name right.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Good one, Thank you. Next up, playoffs. Okay, so let's
- 46:09Speaker 1: actually fast forward to World Series. I think the ones
- 46:11Speaker 1: that start to get like competition going is.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Four homer games.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Well, no, I don't think there are any four in
- 46:19Speaker 1: the playoffs. There's a bunch of threes. No, no fours
- 46:21Speaker 1: in the playoffs.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Yeah, So now we're in playoff mode right to see
- 46:24Speaker 1: the greatest performance ever in the postseason. Because this is
- 46:29Speaker 1: three to zero and this is the NLCS. So Don
- 46:33Speaker 1: Larson game five, World Series, perfect game, tight game, Yankees
- 46:37Speaker 1: win two, nothing series tied to two. He's facing the
- 46:40Speaker 1: defending champ, Brooklyn Dodgers, Hall of famers all over the lineup,
- 46:44Speaker 1: Gil Hodges, Jackie Robinson, Pee Reese, Roy Campanella, Duke Snyder. Right,
- 46:49Speaker 1: so that's big.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Did he hit? No?
- 46:51Speaker 1: But did that game have more magnitude?
- 46:54Speaker 3: Yes?
- 46:55Speaker 1: What about World Series games like Reggie Jackson nineteen seventy
- 46:57Speaker 1: eight World series to clinch it and hits three home runs.
- 47:00Speaker 3: CHOI did that, and so that one's out.
- 47:05Speaker 1: But but I'm saying the magnitude of he clinched the
- 47:07Speaker 1: Pennant Right World Series. Okay, I'm just playing cases out there.
- 47:11Speaker 4: For me, it's so far the only one that's even
- 47:13Speaker 4: closes the Don Lars some perfect game.
- 47:16Speaker 1: He went the distance, gave up nothing, tight game, and
- 47:19Speaker 1: that's the World Series. The World Series is the biggest.
- 47:21Speaker 1: And it was Game five, which is a meaningful game.
- 47:23Speaker 1: But still this is the greatest game I've ever seen. Okay,
- 47:26Speaker 1: I don't, I don't. I can't even come. And I've
- 47:28Speaker 1: seen some.
- 47:28Speaker 4: I've seen four Homer games, I've seen cycles, I've seen
- 47:31Speaker 4: I've seen perfect games. I've seen this, I've seen that.
- 47:34Speaker 4: But and nobody hit went out of the stadium like
- 47:36Speaker 4: show he did either. Yeah, I hear like man for
- 47:41Speaker 4: Chad Patrick, look at his reaction.
- 47:43Speaker 1: That's the best four hundred and sixty nine plus feet giggy.
- 47:47Speaker 1: But Gil Chance, he was just incredible.
- 47:53Speaker 2: But now he gets a week off, so and so
- 47:55Speaker 2: now they'll complain about he had.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Too much time off.
- 47:58Speaker 1: He was so good on the mound too, I mean
- 48:00Speaker 1: and you're seeing him pump a hondo plus on some pitches,
- 48:03Speaker 1: six shoutout in nings, two hits, and he had more
- 48:06Speaker 1: homers at the plate than he allowed hits in six innings.
- 48:09Speaker 3: It was incredible.
- 48:12Speaker 4: Is there is there a point where you almost want
- 48:14Speaker 4: him to not throw his heart on the mound so
- 48:16Speaker 4: that he stays? You forget because he's going back to
- 48:19Speaker 4: back years of Dodgers home run record and then he
- 48:23Speaker 4: beats his own Dodgers home run record for the season
- 48:26Speaker 4: we've seen hitting and you know, oh my gosh, he
- 48:29Speaker 4: had four and sixty nine foot home run out of
- 48:31Speaker 4: the stadium. Like we want him, I want him to
- 48:35Speaker 4: stay on the mound. So is there an area? Is
- 48:38Speaker 4: there a place where he can sit ninety four ninety
- 48:42Speaker 4: five and not have to pump one hundred every time?
- 48:45Speaker 3: Is that possible?
- 48:45Speaker 4: Does that even keep him healthy? Obviously I'm just asking
- 48:49Speaker 4: just because we're talking about the greatest game and I'm
- 48:52Speaker 4: almost maybe you guys don't believe me, but I'm almost
- 48:56Speaker 4: not surprised.
- 48:56Speaker 3: Stop, can we can we can we show this with Curry?
- 48:59Speaker 3: Hurry hery. We can't show this?
- 49:00Speaker 5: Can we?
- 49:00Speaker 3: He's calling me, they can get that. We can't see.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Semmoto, says Tory Hunter. I'm not going to
- 49:07Speaker 3: answer it though, So come on, he's got a job.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Are you the guy? Now? Did you?
- 49:12Speaker 2: That's why I text him And then he's calling me
- 49:14Speaker 2: a gig. Yeah, I text him like you're the new manager,
- 49:17Speaker 2: and so you know, he called me.
- 49:19Speaker 1: We're off in ten minutes. So yeah, we'll get there.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Well, only if we had a spot where he could
- 49:23Speaker 4: be like a gat if only we had a show
- 49:25Speaker 4: where we could have Tory Hunter on where he's not
- 49:27Speaker 4: in his truck and he could do some interviews.
- 49:30Speaker 1: He was great when he was on. Wait, I just
- 49:33Speaker 1: want to stay on.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Him on a couple of times we had him on himself,
- 49:35Speaker 2: and then we had him on with uh Denzel Clark
- 49:37Speaker 2: after you.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Made that catch.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that was cool. That was cool.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Wait one more, Jack Morris tenanting shut Out Game seven
- 49:45Speaker 1: ninety one.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 49:47Speaker 2: You know what I love about that game is everybody
- 49:50Speaker 2: always remembers like especially and we all love Smolts, but
- 49:54Speaker 2: like even last night with Joe Davis talking about like
- 49:57Speaker 2: they always it's always for some reason remembered as the
- 49:59Speaker 2: John Smoll I guess because he's on TV.
- 50:01Speaker 3: But he lost that game. It was the Jack Morris
- 50:04Speaker 3: game that went ten.
- 50:06Speaker 4: That's to me is like it is the small town
- 50:09Speaker 4: unbelievable run in the postseason, but like that game was
- 50:12Speaker 4: Jack Morris, right, I think that's the Jack but if
- 50:15Speaker 4: you you know, but most people only remember it because
- 50:17Speaker 4: Smoltz is on TV a little bit more outside of Minnesota.
- 50:20Speaker 4: People were like, man, it was this great game and
- 50:22Speaker 4: John Smolts went eight innings, no runs, and some other
- 50:25Speaker 4: guys in the Hall of Fame John, Oh yeah, Jack
- 50:27Speaker 4: Morris went ten and they won one another and Jene
- 50:29Speaker 4: Lark and my guy number nine hit a hit the
- 50:33Speaker 4: single to drive in the dazzle the scullet Dan Gladden
- 50:37Speaker 4: from third.
- 50:38Speaker 1: That's a good one. So it's just cool.
- 50:40Speaker 4: That must be a fox. That must be a Fox thing,
- 50:43Speaker 4: because I think of it is a Jack Morris game.
- 50:46Speaker 4: I was a brains fan. I was a brains fan,
- 50:48Speaker 4: so I mean, of course I was looting for the
- 50:50Speaker 4: That's why.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Also, so last thing here, because I know we have
- 50:54Speaker 1: like twenty seconds, I'll just give you the line at
- 50:56Speaker 1: the finisher here, Babe, Ruth. One hundred and sixty six
- 50:58Speaker 1: games pitch and this is from Jason Starks article one
- 51:00Speaker 1: time he had a two homer game. I think we
- 51:02Speaker 1: have to get away from the Otani Ruth comparisons at
- 51:06Speaker 1: some point because he's doing things that Babe didn't do,
- 51:11Speaker 1: like he is in another weight class. In terms of
- 51:13Speaker 1: the two way status, it is, it is what it is.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Babe's a slugger, Otani's a two way sensation. All right,
- 51:31Speaker 1: let's slap into reminder. We're gonna stay on for a
- 51:34Speaker 1: few minutes after If you're watching this on YouTube, you
- 51:36Speaker 1: got one minute though, and we got to tell the
- 51:38Speaker 1: crowd what happened.
- 51:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, So I had a bet with a guy
- 51:41Speaker 4: player on Mississippi Stag who's you know. It was friends
- 51:44Speaker 4: with my daughter when she went to Missippi State.
- 51:46Speaker 2: So and by the way, your team stucks because they suck,
- 51:49Speaker 2: and so not a money bet, No, not a money bet.
- 51:51Speaker 3: It was to get a tattoo. So whoever whoever lost
- 51:54Speaker 3: had to get a tattoo.
- 51:55Speaker 2: And I was on the field and I was sweating
- 51:56Speaker 2: and a interception, Thank you ninety three for Florida, and
- 52:00Speaker 2: I don't have to get a tattoo. And then I
- 52:01Speaker 2: saw the kid after the game. He was like crying,
- 52:03Speaker 2: and I felt so bad far just it was one
- 52:07Speaker 2: of those moments.
- 52:08Speaker 3: It was cool. Sorry, but yeah, it was awesome.
