- 1:18and Part four from Hollywood, It's time now for Bob Bailey as Johnny Doller
- 1:26Littenings of the Santa Thomas Police Department. Oh yeah, Lieutenant, I have
- 1:30been trying to reach you for some time. Sorry. I was out making
- 1:33some funeral arrangements about the dead man that they wished to speak to you,
- 1:37Senior. Why are away, Lieutenant? What's on your mind? Especially the
- 1:41question I was about to ask you, what do you mean? Surely I
- 1:44don't need to remind you that Minetois Canta was found dead in your hotel room
- 1:49earlier this evening. You certainly don't, but I've already told one of your
- 1:52cops the whole story. Perhaps not. I suggest that you come to see
- 1:57me so that we can discuss it further. Is that an advantation or an
- 2:00order? Let us school it an invitation. But if you do not,
- 2:05except, we will have to come and get you tonight and every weekday night.
- 2:16Bob Bailey and the Transcribed Adventures of the Man with the Action Packed Expense
- 2:21account America's fabulous freelance insurance investigator was truly Johnny Dollar. Santo Thomas, Mexico.
- 2:37Expense accounts submitted by Special Investigator Johnny Dollar to the home office Northeastern Fidelity
- 2:42in Bonding, Hartford, Connecticut. The following is an account of additional expenses
- 2:46during my investigation of the Alvin Summer seventy five thousand dollars in puzzlement case.
- 2:53Item six twenty five dollars American funeral and burial expenses for Benito the Bellboy.
- 2:58Somebody had to do it and apparently had no family. After I made the
- 3:02arrangements with the town's undertaker, I went back to my room and received Lieutenant
- 3:06comezs polite but firm invitation to drop in on him. So I went on
- 3:09down to police headquarters. Sit down, say your lola, thanks Autenant.
- 3:20So, so the autopsy has confirmed the fact that Benitos Constant died from knife
- 3:24wounds. I didn't need an autopsy to tell me that. I was obvious.
- 3:29But what is not obvious is your paulty in all of this. Look,
- 3:31the story hasn't changed a bit since I told it to your Sergeant Romero.
- 3:36I went back to my room at midnight. I opened my balcony door
- 3:38and enroll benito throw had been cut. That is the story as to what
- 3:44is behind this story, Let me will be another marker for instance. For
- 3:47instance, in a case of this, everyone is a potential suspect, everyone
- 3:54including you isn't as being pretty ridiculous, commes is it? Then perhaps you
- 4:00would be kind enough to tell me if there were some legitimitrition we need to
- 4:03have this throat got in your hotel room. Well in the first place.
- 4:08If you're interested in alibis, I've got one. Indeed, I was with
- 4:12a girl named Gloria Harris up at the Hotel Plia del Mar all evening.
- 4:15You can check that. Oh, you may be quite certain that I am
- 4:17checking an olio activities this evening. In the second place, if you're interested
- 4:21in motives, I don't have one. No, why would I want to
- 4:25kill but you don't. When I was hoping to get some information from him,
- 4:28information of what sourcing your dollar, I guess i'd better start at the
- 4:31top. Lieutenant, here's my card. You're an instudance investigator. That's right.
- 4:39About six months ago, a man named Alvin Summers up in the States
- 4:42and basil seventy five thousand dollars from the company he worked for. The up
- 4:46and I'm representing, and the deal wrote the bond on him, so they
- 4:47were stuck for the money seventy five thousand dollars. A couple of days ago,
- 4:51they got a long distance phone call from down here in Santo Tomas.
- 4:55The man who call claimed that he had information about Alvin Summers. That's why
- 4:59I came down here. Who's the man telephone? We don't know. I
- 5:02came on the chance that he might contact me here, or that I might
- 5:05get some kind of lead on Alvin Summer's whereabouts of you. No on both
- 5:10counts. Banindo said he knew about a place where Summers used to live.
- 5:14He was going to take me there tonight, but apparently somebody had other ideas
- 5:17and a knife to back them up. See nobody has tried to contact you.
- 5:23Oh sure, sure, several people have, but always for the wrong
- 5:27reason. First, there was a man named Carson, a zipper salesman.
- 5:30He contacted me for the purpose of setting up a cribbage game. Cribba the
- 5:35scribbage. Now that's something I hope I never find out. And there was
- 5:39a strong arm who bounced me around with a gun barrel and suggested politely that
- 5:43I wanted to leave town. Oh what did he look like? He was
- 5:46heavy in the shoulders, thick neck, low foreward, short dark hair,
- 5:50scar over the bridge of his nose. Scar that would be senior grows.
- 5:56You know him, I know him by side? Who is he? What's
- 5:59his pitch? That is something I do not know, Senor. You must
- 6:02understand that Santa Thomas is a rather strange town. And the dangerous one come
- 6:09in he look, can't you see that? Them? Busy Susan Romado bodies
- 6:14your bouts and your dollar? Oh well, what is it? Well,
- 6:17I have talked to us Senior Rita Gloria Harris at the Hotel Player del Mar.
- 6:21She said that Senior Dalla was with her throughout the evening. Very well,
- 6:27Romato. One thing more, we have just arrested a man, American
- 6:30tourista, senior cars. I will talk to him. Gonna have time minute.
- 6:35That's the Zipper sales when I was telling you about Indeed, yeah,
- 6:39hey, look, maybe he ties into this deal after all? What's the
- 6:42charge? Romato is disturbing the peace? Oh great, just when I thought
- 6:47I had a lead. What's the matter, I got a few too many
- 6:50andrews. Well maybe, well, Romo, here here's the report the senior
- 6:56cars in this outside. So that will be all. I will talk to
- 7:00the man. See if you know this man, perhaps you had better come
- 7:05with okay, dollar say, I'm sure glad to see you. Carson.
- 7:15What seems to be the trouble, Well, it wasn't as much as they
- 7:19made a dollar. Fella goes out stepping sometimes, well well you know he
- 7:26steps a little too fun. Well, I was only having a little fun
- 7:29and your cousin. This report states that you are at the Hotel Player them
- 7:31this evening that's right. But now at other states that you became increasingly noisy,
- 7:36and that at one point, during a dance by an entertainment, you
- 7:41grabbed this set up from one of the musicians and attempted to join in the
- 7:45dance. Now, Lieutenant, maybe I was a little lot of line.
- 7:47But further that, when the dance had refused to dance with you, you
- 7:50chased her around the patio several times, trying to sell her a zipper.
- 7:55Maybe, oh, no, dollar went up on a guy will have that.
- 7:59Finally, when the musician attempted to get his set up away from you,
- 8:03you broke his guitar over his head. Say when you get going,
- 8:05you're a real tiger, aren't you? These things true? Senior Corsom,
- 8:09Well, I suppose the facts are correct, but they sound different somehow.
- 8:15Down here, I was just trying to have a little fun, you know,
- 8:18Serge and Dromo will conduct you to the magistrate. Tomato a dollar.
- 8:24You're just gonna stand her and not do anything. After all, we both
- 8:28live at the same hotel, and and to your help, I'll have it
- 8:37to Lieutenant. You will have to pay the damages and there will be a
- 8:41fine. What's your provact go on his expense account. Lieutenant, you started
- 8:43to tell me about this beetle brow crows show what a few dance in me.
- 8:48I started to say that before the people from Mexico City building new opail,
- 8:52this down unfortunately used to be something of a haven for undesirable characters from
- 8:58the United States fugitives. Some of them still remain, and although I know
- 9:03very little about Senior Cross, it is probably that he is one of them.
- 9:07Could be you said that he and Senior Personal the only ones who have
- 9:11made any effort to contact you, except for Gloria Harris. Of course,
- 9:16I still haven't found out what's on her mind. I mean, what else
- 9:20is on a mind? She says she's down here on a vacation. Indeed,
- 9:24in that case, it has certainly been a long vacation. What do
- 9:28you mean she's been here for several months to my knowledge? Wow? Wow,
- 9:33now that's very interesting. Lieutenant. Thanks, anything else you want to
- 9:37ask me about, but I don't not the moment, But I suggest you
- 9:41remain available. You know what I find me one moment, Senior dollar rewarding.
- 9:50As I told you, this tone can be a dangerous place. I
- 9:52would suggest that you'll be quite careful. Yeah, And one thing I wish
- 9:58to impress upon you. If you are at any time tempted during your investigation
- 10:03to take the law into your own hands, I assure you that you would
- 10:07have erected well in that case. I hope you're around when and if I
- 10:09need you, Whether or not I am available in the warning still applies.
- 10:15Okay, be seeing you, Johnny. Wow, Gloria, I thought you
- 10:22were tucked in for the night. I couldn't sleep, so I called your
- 10:24hotel. He told me that the bellboy had been murdered, that you were
- 10:28at the police station. So I came down here. Is there anything I
- 10:33can do? Not for Benito? I'm a friend. He was killed in
- 10:37your room. Yeah, you think he could have been killed by mistake?
- 10:41Mistake? You mean maybe I was supposed to be the target. Hey,
- 10:46it's a thought, Johnny. You're in trouble of some kind. We should
- 10:50tell me what it is. You're not just done here on a vacation.
- 10:52Speaking of vacations, Gloria, let's Johnny, what is it? Keep looking
- 10:58straight ahead as somebody us the street in the shadows. He's telling us,
- 11:03can you see who it is? And he goes past that, lad,
- 11:05I'll be what do you know my old friend Kross again? I mean the
- 11:09man who came to your room and was looking for you on the beach.
- 11:11That's the boy. Funny how he always seems to pop up when I'm with
- 11:15you, Johnny, I tell you, I don't know it matter right now?
- 11:16Come on turn into the alley here. Okay, I'll keep going straight
- 11:24down this alley and out the other end. Go back to your hotel and
- 11:26I'll call you there later. I maybe a while. What are you going
- 11:28to do? Wait for him? No, John, Gloria, don't give
- 11:31me any argument this time. Get going. After she was out of side,
- 11:37I ducked into a doorway. Then I waited. Yeah, Krouse was
- 11:43following, all right. I waited until he got right up to me,
- 11:48and I know about him. That's right. Me propped the gun. Yeah,
- 11:56this time, I'm ready for your sweetheart. How do you think about
- 12:01me? Cross? I don't like guys working over me with a gun barrel?
- 12:03Ever? All right, now, you're gonna tell me what this is
- 12:11all about. Why you've been tailing me? Why are you working me over
- 12:13with a gun barrel in my room last night? I want to hear all
- 12:16about it. You know I talk, I said, talk, not taking
- 12:22me back, taking your back? You know you came down here, but
- 12:26I ain't good by What are you talking about? No? What happens to
- 12:31a three times? Three times? Let me back? Let me get it?
- 12:35Carry me? Wait a minute? You ever hear by? Man name
- 12:39Alvin Somermers? How about Gloria Harris? Are you sure about that? Cross?
- 12:45Look done? Look I'm telling you the truth. Yeah, I guess
- 12:50you are. You're a two punchy right now to give me a routine?
- 12:54Yeah, I think I get it. You'll want it in the States.
- 12:56You figured I was a cop and came down here to make a pinch.
- 13:00Brother, right now, I sure wish I was. I mean, no,
- 13:03I'm no copper. Say he made a mistake, he's sure did busting?
- 13:11Oh no, no, not at all. I just love the feel
- 13:13of a gun barrel whipping across my face. Crouse, I got a nice
- 13:18little piece of advice for you. Next time, you better find out what
- 13:20the score is before you jump into the ball. I left him there in
- 13:28the alley and went back to my hotel. Then, just as I was
- 13:31about to open the door to my room, I heard someone moving around inside.
- 13:35I went quietly down at the end of the hall, out the window
- 13:37and easing along the balcony back towards my room. Inside it was dark,
- 13:41but I could make out someone bent over my luggage, searching it. Heads
- 13:46to cross the room slowly. Then I landed, Hello, Gloria, Johnny.
- 13:54Yeah, Johnny, helping me unpack. Maybe. Look, I can
- 13:58explain, Johnny now something that's just exactly what you're gonna do. Johnny Dollar,
- 14:20I remember me, Sweethearts. I didn't. I'm the guy who are
- 14:22making a big pitch for dancing moonlight on the beach, the complete routine.
- 14:26Oh, I gotta hand it to you, baby, that was real nice
- 14:28act. No, it wasn't acting, Johnny. I meant it all of
- 14:31us. Oh sure, Gloria. Sure, that's why I catch you here
- 14:33and searching my room. That's all part of the big romance. You can
- 14:37explain, and that's just what you're gonna do. Hey, look, Gloria,
- 14:39one guy has already wound up dead on this deal. I've got a
- 14:43strong hunch I'm number two men on the list, and this baby I do
- 14:46not want. Santo Tomas, Mexico expense accounts submitted by Special Investigator Johnny Dollar
- 15:00to the home office Northeastern Fidelity and Bonding, Hartford, Connecticut. The following
- 15:03is an account of additional expenses during my investigation of the Alvin Summer's embezzlement of
- 15:07seventy five thousand dollars Item nine seventeen dollars and sixty cents business entertainment for one
- 15:16Gloria Harris. Believe it or not, I wasn't going to put that item
- 15:18on the account because I figured it might just possibly be a private romance.
- 15:22But when I caught Gloria searching my hotel room, I knew she tied into
- 15:26the deal somehow, that she could give me information on Summer's whereabouts. Johnny,
- 15:30Please, No, you're not leaving, Gloria, not yet. I'm
- 15:33not trying to get away. Oh it's the use. You'd never believe me.
- 15:37Why should you lie to me? I lied to you once, only
- 15:41once, when I told you I'm here on a vacation. I'm not surprised.
- 15:46The truth is I'm stranded down here, stranded. Oh sure, that's
- 15:50why you're staying at the Plia del Mar, the most expensive hotel in town.
- 15:52I don't mean no money I mean no passport. It's true. You
- 16:00got a cigarette, Johnny. Yeah, he thanks. Yeah. I've been
- 16:11stuck in this ratty town for four months now, just hoping every day that
- 16:15I could figure out some way or find somebody to help me get back to
- 16:19the state. How came you pick this town, assuming I believe you,
- 16:23because I heard that fugitives from the States sometimes came here. I've been drifting
- 16:27around for a year, from place to place. I guess I thought my
- 16:32luck could change here. It hasn't, an't you, Louis your passport in
- 16:36the first place. I'll tell you if you really want to know Johnny personally,
- 16:41I'd rather skip it. It's a long story, not a very pretty
- 16:45one. It's all in the past. Let's just say I've made a mistake
- 16:51about a guy. Okay, glory, okay, But there's one little item.
- 16:55You haven't told me. Why you were searching my room just now,
- 16:57Because I was trying to find out something about your Johnny, the reason why
- 17:02you're down here. Why so maybe I could make a deal with you.
- 17:04Deal. You helped me get a passport, and I'll help you. How
- 17:11can you help me? You're looking for Alvin Summers aren't you. Oh am,
- 17:15I six months ago him bazzled seventy five thousand dollars up in the States
- 17:21and took off. Go on, you came down here to find him.
- 17:25You're an insurance investigator. Keep talking, that's all. That's it now.
- 17:30Maybe you wouldn't mind telling me how you know all of Oh sure, that
- 17:34report in my suitcase and the picture Alvin Summers. I know him. I
- 17:40can help you, Johnny. Where is he? First? I've got to
- 17:42know if you'll help me passport the passport? What do you expect me to
- 17:45do about that? In your business, Johnny, you must meet a lot
- 17:48of people, all kinds. Maybe one of them has an extra passport or
- 17:52two for a price. Maybe all right, don't see what I can do.
- 17:57That's the best you can say. That's the best. Take it or
- 18:00leave it? All right. I'll take it. I haven't any choice no
- 18:04about Alvin Summers. I'll take you there to Summer's place. Where is it?
- 18:10Down the beach about a mile below town, Then into the jungle a
- 18:12little way. How come you know where it is? I met Alvin Summer's
- 18:17a couple of months ago here in Santa Thomas. Yeah, I went there
- 18:19once for dinner. Okay, you take me there, Gloria christ I'd better
- 18:25go up to the hotel and change. The country is pretty rough, unclosed.
- 18:27Okay, I'll meet at your hotel and half an hour, Ny,
- 18:32I only lied to you about one thing, the reason I was down here.
- 18:37The rest of it I meant last night on the terrace and on the
- 18:42beach. I meant all of it, really, Johnny, And I mean
- 18:49this. You know, I'm kind of glad you told me that. Seeing
- 18:57half an hour. I stayed there a while after she left, going over
- 19:07the case of my mind. Maybe she was telling me the truth, But
- 19:11whether she was or not, I had to follow up any lead I could
- 19:12find, because I was getting nowhere the way things were. Half an hour
- 19:17later, as I was starting out of my room to go pick her up,
- 19:18my phone rang. It was a long distance call from the States,
- 19:22Fred Wilkins, an audition fidelity. Johnny, Hi, Fred, Well how's
- 19:26it fishing down there? Fishing? A matter of fact, it hasn't been
- 19:30so good so far? Fred, that's too bad, but I'll bet the
- 19:33swimming is all right. Now? Whoa there? What's eating you? I
- 19:37didn't to send you down there for a vacation. Well, you've got a
- 19:40great sense of humor. You should see this place vacation and been there.
- 19:44What do you think I've been doing. I've been looking for whoever it was
- 19:47the telephone. You didn't said he had information on Alvin Summers. Couldn't have
- 19:49been looking very hard. He called me again this morning. He that's right.
- 19:53He wondered if i'd send anyone down there yet. Hey, look,
- 19:56Fred, this guy is not easy to find, believe me, and I
- 20:00think I know why. Obviously somebody doesn't want him to talk. And that
- 20:03somebody could be Alvin Summers about one jump behind him. You think he's around
- 20:07there could be. I'm leaving right now to find out. I've got to
- 20:10lead on where he lives. There's somebody at the door. I'll call you
- 20:12want to get anything fishing? Oh, Lieutenant Gomez, Well look, I'm
- 20:21in sort of a hurry right now. This will not take low. Okay,
- 20:26what is it, Lieutenant Early this morning one of my main fants in
- 20:29your cross in the alley. How is he feeling? He had been badly
- 20:33beaten? It would not tell us anything, but it was fairly obvious who
- 20:37had on this to him. So so the last time we talked in your
- 20:41Dollar, I warned you not to attempt to take the low into your own
- 20:45I listen, Gomez. If you think I want to take a pistol webping
- 20:47like he gave me and not do anything about it, misunderstand I care nothing
- 20:51about Gross personally or what happens to him. I'm thinking about something more important.
- 20:56For instance, you're looking Alvin Somers, a man who quite obviously does
- 21:02not want to be found, so so when you find him, it is
- 21:06quite possible that there will be trouble. Granted, but let's face a few
- 21:08facts. Lieutenant, you and your boys can't help me. You're in charge
- 21:11of the Santa Tomas Police Force, all two men, and I imagine you've
- 21:15got a few other things on your mind besides an ambassador from the States and
- 21:18an insurance investigating. That means I've got to do it on my own.
- 21:26Very well, Seniors, Dollar, This morning I attended the funeral of Benite's
- 21:30cancer, who was killed because he had information about Alvin Somers. If you
- 21:36find Somers and take the low into your own hands again, I fear I
- 21:38may have to attend another funeral yours. That's what I liked about come as
- 21:47he was the cheerful type. Well, I picked up Gloria her hotel and
- 21:52we had it for summer's place. We walked down the beach about a mile
- 21:56below town. The beach kept narrowing as the jungle crowded closer closer to the
- 22:00water. This place is in from the beach aways. There's a little path
- 22:07pretty soon it leads in. You could walk right by it and never see
- 22:08it. Here it is, and that's just what we'll do, or walk
- 22:14right by it. I don't want to lead anyone else here. There's nobody
- 22:18else on the beach. I'm not talking about the beach. That's a regular
- 22:21jungle in there. Twenty people could be watching us, so we'd never see
- 22:22them. Oh, I guess so, okay, well the wind here.
- 22:27Then work our way back to the path. Brother, this is pretty thick
- 22:34in here. Yeah, you're walking through thick brush like this, you always
- 22:41feel like somebody's watching you. Imagination gets pretty strong. Sometimes I think it's
- 22:48a little more than imagination. What do you mean, Stop a minute,
- 22:52listen, I don't hear any Yeah, somebody's teeling us again. Look,
- 23:00keep moving straight ahead. I'm going to circle and see if I'm going to
- 23:03decept him, all right, but be careful. Gloria moved on, and
- 23:07I started circling to the right. Every few seconds, I'd stop and listen.
- 23:12Yeah, he was still there. I pegged the direction of the sound
- 23:15and started edging toward it slowly. Then my foot caught on a bike.
- 23:21I scrambled at my feet and kept going in the same direction. There was
- 23:23a small clearing ahead. I reached it, stopped and listened nothing. Whoever
- 23:29I was chasing seemed to know the country better than I did. He disappeared.
- 23:36I caught up with Gloria a couple of hundred yards farther along the trail.
- 23:40Any luck, Johnny, No, whoever it is is pretty good at
- 23:42keeping on a site. Are you sure it was a person? It might
- 23:45have been some kind of animal. That might be. You can see a
- 23:48corner of Alvin Summer's hot from here, past that big tree. Yeah,
- 23:52come on and stay behind me, all right, there was any trouble,
- 23:55I think there will be. Look, a guy who was this careful about
- 23:57hiding doesn't usually welcome visitors. Right now, no sign of life. Keep
- 24:07back against the wall. I'm gonna open the door. M okay, Gloria.
- 24:18Nobody home. Nobody home. Well, he seems to have a pretty
- 24:23comfortable place here. You like to live in jungles? Hmm, Yeah,
- 24:33what looks like he hasn't been around for several days. The food in these
- 24:37cupboards pretty moldy. Yeah, I guess they've cleared out. They he and
- 24:42whoever was here with him? What makes you think someone was but one thing?
- 24:47Two sets of dirty dishes over there? Maybe he just wasn't neat.
- 24:49He'd have to have been awfully neat to use two toothbrushes and two kinds of
- 24:53toothpaste, and two people have been eating at this table. See the crumbs.
- 24:57Maybe there's something around here that could give you a clue to where he
- 25:00might be now. Maybe if he's still alive, What do you mean you
- 25:06think he isn't? Oh, I don't know. But if somebody else was
- 25:07living here too, it could mean he had a partner in this deal.
- 25:11And it's a funny thing about that kind of playmates. Sooner or later they
- 25:14started quarreling about who's going to hold the marbles seventy five thousand dollars worth in
- 25:18this case, Johnny. If he is dead, that leaves you nowhere maybe
- 25:23not what it sounds like. I shad it was somewhere outside. Keep talking,
- 25:32Glory a normal tone. I'm going out the back way and see if
- 25:33I can spot him. Why don't you look around the hot Johnny. Gloria
- 25:38kept up a line of pattern. When I slipped out the back door and
- 25:41into the brush, I listened, do you want me to do anything?
- 25:44Nothing but the sound of Gloria's voice. He had to be somewhere near but
- 25:48where. I worked my way around at the front of the cabin, still
- 25:52under cover, no sign. I kept on around the other side. Then
- 25:56as I started to climb over a fallen tree trunk, I saw a chet
- 26:00out of the corner of my eye. Hold it, don't turn around.
- 26:03The voice was behind me. I could see the rest of the shadow now
- 26:06a hand with a gun, and I knew it was zeroed in on my
- 26:08backbone. I said, I'm holding drop your gun. Kick it backwards quick.
- 26:19Hey, look whoever you are, turn around, okay, and don't
- 26:23try to move why. I'm telling me your eyes straight ahead. Any move,
- 26:29any move at all, it'll be your last. There'll be the final
- 26:48exciting episode in our story of the Alvin Summers Matter tomorrow, Yes, tomorrow,
- 26:52how to find out what you've been looking for the hard way? Join
- 26:56us, won't you? Yours Truly? Johnny Dollar, Yours Truly Johnny Doller
- 27:17starring Bob Bailey, is transcribed in Hollywood, written by Robert Rife. It
- 27:21is produced and directed by Jack Johnstone. Be sure to join us tomorrow night,
- 27:26same time and station for the next exciting episode of Yours Truly. Johnny
- 27:30Duller Roy Rowan speaking welcome back well in a couple of interesting points. First
- 28:36of all, I like that Johnny established, or that the writers established,
- 28:41that each part in the episode doesn't have to begin with Johnny answering the telephone
- 28:48as long as somebody's saying the name of Johnny Dowler. And I remember enough
- 28:52about this serial that that'll continue when we get to part five. We definitely
- 28:57we're leaving you in some suspense for a couple of days. I'm certainly looking
- 29:03forward to hearing the solution to this. You know, incredibly well paced,
- 29:07well set up, really a great story so far. The only thing I
- 29:12will say is I'm somewhat disappointed and Johnny, it all are not liking Cribage.
- 29:18Great game, favorite card game, I guess it was. It's been
- 29:23passed down my grandfather to my father to me, so that it's my fondness
- 29:27for it. But I probably bet that Johnny Doller is more of a poker
- 29:32guy. All right, well, listener comments and feedback. We have this
- 29:37from Andrew and he right, it's your podcast have been a great enjoyment through
- 29:41a bitterly cold Fairbanks winner here in Alaska, most especially since I had double
- 29:45knee surgeries while I waited for doctors to get to me. Your programs played
- 29:49in the smiles and memories brought through earbuds. Thank you very much. And
- 29:57he said that these radio programs remind me of being five to seven years old
- 30:03sitting on my grandfather's lap listening to Mystery Theater and other radio programs in the
- 30:08hunting check. Thank you for your time and efforts. Hopefully I can make
- 30:11monthly contributions to help this great side up and running for my personal utage plus
- 30:18radio in Alaska is horrid. Well, we're glad to find you some great
- 30:25entertainment through the power of the Internet and every contribution. Definitely appreciate it.
- 30:30Andrew did reference the donation, but I'm kind of hard to find and so
- 30:36I'm going to work on that. I'm thinking of making trying to modify their
- 30:41data we have at support dot Great Detectives dot net so that it's so that
- 30:48it's set during the times we're not doing The listener support campaign is kind of
- 30:52a all ye all your donation spot that will work for people and be easy
- 31:02for folks to find. So thanks for all your feedback and for your great
- 31:06support, and to hope your recovery continues to go well up there in Alaska.
- 31:11I've always thought it'd be fun to go to Alaska in the summer.
- 31:14I don't know if I'd want to stay a whole time with those long days,
- 31:18but maybe a couple of them wouldn't be so bad. Always been a
- 31:22bit of a not all and reluctant to go to sleep, so two or
- 31:27three twenty hour days it seems like it'd be an interesting concept. Well,
- 31:33anyway, that'll do it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with Sherlock Holmes
- 31:41and then join us on Friday for the bake finale as we wrap up the
- 31:45Alvin Summers matter in the meanwhile, your comments appreciated. Box thirteen at Great
