  I get that. My first year of working in a

  school and being a parent at the same time, so it's just.

  Like. Being a parent already during

  Christmas is like, really stressful, Yeah, because you've

  got nativities, you've got, you know, shopping, you've got an
• 1:22
  abundance of Santa visits. But also working in the school,
• 1:26
  when you're running those things, it's just like, it's
• 1:29
  like putting chaos on top of chaos.
• 1:31
  It's layered it. Is a layered chaos, yeah.
• 1:35
  I get you. I completely get.
• 1:37
  What about you? Yeah, same.
• 1:38
  Really, just prepping for Christmas, getting ready for
• 1:41
  everything. So my mum is is coming down this
• 1:43
  week so she's coming over from France.
• 1:45
  So I'm really excited to see. Her can't wait for.
• 1:48
  That. So yeah, looking forward to that
• 1:50
  and I know obviously Marley is looking forward to seeing her as
• 1:52
  well. So that'll be super fun.
• 1:53
  And then we're actually going to be going away to have like a
• 1:55
  little like family Christmas with them before Christmas.
• 1:57
  So we actually get two buses this year, which is going to be
• 2:01
  super far. So nice.
• 2:03
  It's been really nice. It's been usually one of those
• 2:05
  weeks where everything is busy, but equally it's been nice at
• 2:08
  the same time I'm looking. Like good busy.

  Yeah, I'm like just seeing her, like with all the Christmassy
• 2:13
  stuff. And we've been to see Santa and
• 2:16
  she absolutely love her. And even when she sees like, you
• 2:19
  know, like the supermarket, Santa's.
• 2:21
  Yeah, the ones that sit outside the supermarkets with their
• 2:24
  polyester beads, She saw one the other day and was like, Army
• 2:28
  Santa. And then she went over and he'd,
• 2:31
  like, pulled his beard down so that he could speak properly.
• 2:33
  And she went, that's not Santa. I was like, you're right,
• 2:38
  Marley. I said, that's Santa's friend.
• 2:40
  I said Santa's busy at the moment.
• 2:42
  Oh bless. Her over the magic, but we did
• 2:45
  go and see a very, very real Santa at the church who was
• 2:49
  amazing. He was so lovely and he was
• 2:51
  absolutely like like full beard and it was, it was great.
• 2:54
  She really enjoyed that. Gosh, that sounds amazing.
• 2:57
  Yeah. And just trying to, you know,
• 2:58
  reign in on the Christmas present buying because I just
• 3:01
  know she's gonna get spoiled by like, our whole family.
• 3:04
  And it's just so stressful because we just don't have the
• 3:07
  room for like, all the toys that she's gonna get.
• 3:09
  Yeah, I feel that. I feel that on a very spiritual
• 3:12
  level. It's so hard, isn't it, as a
• 3:14
  parent because you, you it's. And The thing is, it's why with
• 3:16
  grandparents and things, they, they want to spoil them.
• 3:19
  And I know that they, there's certain things that they want to
• 3:22
  buy. And, but equally, I'm so glad
• 3:25
  that my like my parents and my husband's parents are asking
• 3:28
  this year, like, OK, what can I get?
• 3:30
  Is this OK to get? Because in my head I was just
• 3:33
  like looking like into next year and looking at my house full of
• 3:36
  just like play kitchens and prams and, you know, trolleys
• 3:41
  and toys and just stuff everywhere that I just can't fit
• 3:43
  in my house without it looking awful.
• 3:47
  But my mum's been pretty good. Most of the stuff my mum's got
• 3:50
  is like handmade, like she's made stuff for Molly and she's
• 3:53
  got her. Love of.
• 3:54
  That yeah, my mum's quite good with present buying.
• 3:57
  She's very like thoughtful. She doesn't just sort of like go
• 4:00
  into a shop and pick up stuff she like.
• 4:02
  Really thinks about. What it is that she's getting
• 4:04
  and like what you know, what Molly will be able to do with
• 4:07
  it. And and the in laws have been
• 4:09
  good this year because they've also like asked sort of what
• 4:11
  what Molly would like. And I mean, if there's anything.

  Yeah. So I think it's going to be OK.
• 4:16
  My so my thing is when it comes to that is like, it's lovely
• 4:19
  that they want to treat them but I struggle because I also want
• 4:23
  to treat them. I know, it's so difficult, isn't
• 4:26
  it, even as a parent to like, rein yourself in?
• 4:28
  Yeah, And then I'm like, Oh well, I won't buy so much
• 4:31
  because I know everyone else will.
• 4:32
  And then I'm like, actually. I didn't get them a lot.
• 4:35
  Yeah, exactly. And I said this to Jack, like,
• 4:37
  he's very, very not like presents and Christmas and
• 4:41
  birthdays. Like he's just not the kind of
• 4:43
  person at all. Like he hates like the, the, the
• 4:46
  gift giving. And you know, he genuinely, he
• 4:48
  said to his mum, the best gift she could give him is nothing.
• 4:53
  Oh, I was like, oh, OK, that's fine.
• 4:56
  So we're not doing Christmas presents for each other this
• 4:58
  year. Actually, we're going to invest
• 4:59
  in, not that he knows this yet. I've already, I've already
• 5:02
  decided without telling him, but we're going to actually invest
• 5:04
  in a dishwasher in the new year. It's nice.

  I love that for you. Well, it's like a love quid and

  I thought we're going to spend £100 on each other anyway on

  stuff that we don't really need, so we might as well just get a

  dishwasher. Yeah, it's so funny because I I

  every, I'm such a hard person to buy full because if anybody asks

  me, I'm like, save your money or spend what you would spend on me

  on my kids. But I also say to people.

  Stop buying things to my children.

  So you know, Mum, my mum asks me every year what do you want for

  Christmas? And I'm like, should I tell you

  what I really want? I want a month's rent paid for.

  Yeah, exactly. I want a food shop.

  I want to not have to worry for one whole month.

  That's what I would. Actually, that would be great.

  I think as well, like, we're quite good at like, gifts for

  each other because we don't really buy stuff, do we?

  Like we normally like, say, you know, oh, well, it's August and

  more like a mother's bond. But I've gone for a wife as

  Georgia Jones. And she's talking in this quote

  about Cooper, her son, and she says the immense love that I

  have for him now wasn't always there in the beginning.

  The hardest part for me becoming a mum was just that becoming a

  mum. Now for our listeners that

  and choice of being mothers. But I think as well, like one of

  the main things that, you know, we wanted this podcast to be was

  honest and open. And you know, we obviously we'd

  talk the majority of it about the boys and our love for them,

  but also we wanted to be able to just be ourselves and have a
• 12:49
  little bit of an outlet for sharing stories and things like
• 12:52
  that. And I think as well, we all go

  through that phase of where like some people like, I feel like

  we're both very good mothers. And I remember when your girls
• 13:03
  were both really, really small and and watching you, especially
• 13:06
  with your first that like watching you be be a mum,

  especially because you were a lot, you know, your your first
• 13:12
  born is a lot older than my daughter.

  There's a good what is there 5 or 6 years between them now 6.

  Years I think that seeing you take on that role was so

  wonderful and like, I knew that you were always going to be a

  good mum. So that was you know, and but

  you're still yourself. But I think what you don't share

  I said, I think I've been, I'm only just starting to be myself

  And like actually, if you think about the time I was pregnant as

  well, So it's nearly three years where I've just been mum.

  I've not been Tay, I've been mum and I've been wife and I've been

  housewife and you know, like that sort of that sort of thing

  too. And that's fine because that's

  the job that sort of I took on when I decided to be like a stay

  at home mum. But I think like I just lost
• 14:32
  myself in it. And I just think that to hear

  Georgia, Georgia Jones share that like really hit me and made

  me feel like actually even people like Georgia Jones have
• 14:43
  those moments because you do see everything through rose tinted
• 14:47
  glasses. When you look at celebrities and
• 14:49
  you look at their lives and you think of how amazing that
• 14:51
  everything is. And the same of like Gee and
• 14:54
  Tom, like I can't imagine every single day of their lives
• 14:57
  together has been bliss because you know, they've got three
• 15:00
  kids, they've been together since they were at school.

  It's everybody goes through things and go through phases and
• 15:05
  have to have support along the way.

  And I think that discovering Georgia, like her talking about
• 15:11
  this was and obviously we see Georgia do a lot of this on Is

  it Mum's the word? I think it's her podcast.

  We see Gee with happy Mum, happy baby and how lovely it is that

  we get an insight into their lives as parents as well.

  I just think that we're quite lucky really to be able to

  relate to these people on a parenting, everyday mum level

  and not just on Oh my God, it's Danny Jones's wife.

  Kind of almost like humanises them.

  Yeah, it does. It really does.

  And yeah, I just loved that. And it just made me feel like I

  had somebody to relate to. So today we've decided to talk

  about what we would have chosen if we were the creative

  directors of the McFly versus Busted tour.

  Oh yes. Now, if you've listened to

  previous episodes, you will know how much we love this tour.

  It is one of the best tours I probably have ever gone to.

  Genuinely amazing. However, we have very strong

  opinions on how it was put out, how it was advertised and what

  songs we would have chosen in place of other songs.

  It was a very, it was a very singles heavy tour.

  Definitely. I think as well, like if you

  guys listened to last week's episode, not last week's

  episode, episode before episode 7 when we had Mush Lover on, we

  did ask her what she thought of the tour.

  And we had very, very similar opinions on the verses aspect

  and what we sort of expected and we really would.

  like a boxing ring and there was sort of like.

  Yeah, it was. Depictions of the.

  Buses. Yeah, exactly.

  And even like the when Busted like crashed to the McFly gig

  and they were on stage and they were like, you know, bust versus
• 17:30
  you like, and it was very much the.

  Summertime Ball, The Summertime Ball, it was like it was McFly

  and then I think Busted came out, but the way they came out,
• 17:41
  they just jumped through Busted and kicked them off the stage.

  Yeah, exactly. It was very cool.

  It was very like energetic in like there was a lot of them
• 17:52
  like together. And I talked earlier and I'm

  going to share this video I found earlier of a performance

  where it was like the first performance that they did
• 17:59
  together before the tour and it was to promote the tour.

  And there was like McFly doing a performance and then Busted came

  in halfway through the song and like crashed it and started
• 18:07
  singing air Hostess. And then McFly came back in and
• 18:10
  then there was another Busted song and then they started
• 18:12
  singing together and it was just like all very energetic and
• 18:14
  exciting. And I do feel like the end we
• 18:18
  had that, you know, when they're sort of like rocking together at
• 18:21
  the end during during the Muck Busted set.

  I think it was, I think it was at the end of the Muck Busted
• 18:28
  set There's. Yeah, it was like during Star,
• 18:30
  it was like during Shine a Lie and all of that.

  Yeah, yeah. And it was, it was year 3000

  like right at the end, and they were playing the five colours
• 18:41
  riffed in, in, in, in, in, in. And then it was like you could
• 18:43
  hear the year 3000 chords and it was very cool.

  And me and China talked about this religiously.

  We just think that we could have done it better.

  Do you know what it feels like to me?

  It doesn't feel like busted versus McFly, although I would

  have loved that and I did love it.

  I'm going to keep saying it until I'm blue in the face.

  It felt like McFly then busted. Exactly, exactly it was.

  There was not enough of them doing it together.

  But however, we have said we know that this tour was hugely

  affected by missing one of these the main people in bust.

  I mean, you know, it's a trio, but I mean, James is a massive

  part of busted and we said to Nazi from mush lover, you

  haven't seen Busted, you've seen Matt and Charlie.

  Do you know what I mean? If for somebody that's never

  seen Busted live, you still haven't seen them because James
• 19:34
  is such a big part. There's no way that tour is what
• 19:38
  it is without James in it. And still the petition is still
• 19:42
  running. Maybe I need to actually make a
• 19:44
  physical petition for Busted Versus McFly Part 2 with
• 19:48
  featuring James Borne because we missed out and we missed James
• 19:52
  so much. And I think it would have been
• 19:54
  very different. And I feel like this staging
• 19:55
  would have been different with him.

  I feel like it was four against two and it was.

  It wasn't going to be. The verses that it and to be

  honest, if I was Matt and Charlie, I'd be bummed that

  James wasn't part of it, you know?
