When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. So Moses told them, “It is the bread that the LORD has given you to eat. — Exodus 16:15
The mystery of the incarnation reveals that God’s provision was never merely physical—it always pointed toward Christ, the true bread who satisfies eternally, not just for a day. Manna kept the Israelites alive but couldn’t defeat death; Jesus gives life that death cannot touch. The call to seek first His kingdom frees us from anxious striving because our Father already knows what we need.
