Transcript
- 0:07Welcome back to the Millennial Mustard Seed.
- 0:10I am your host, Rod and thank you for being here with me.
- 0:13This is a mini one. I'm only going to take a couple
- 0:16minutes here to do some announcements.
- 0:18First thing I'd like to talk about is the book update.
- 0:22It is live and published and I'm going to have a link in the
- 0:26details of the show notes as to where you guys can go purchase
- 0:29yourself a copy of my newest book.
- 0:33The words are salt. We've got an excellent feedback
- 0:37with the people who've read it. So far all of the poetry that
- 0:40I've included in this first book, Bodies, is in there.
- 0:45I've gotten a ton of emails from people all around the world on
- 0:48reading that poem on a episode I did with Carly a couple months
- 0:52ago. So I've been working on this and
- 0:55I did one announcement prior months back at the end of an
- 0:59episode for the people who listened all the way through
- 1:02letting you guys know I was writing a book and that it was
- 1:04in the final stages. Well, at this point in time,
- 1:08this is the first time I'm publicly announcing it is
- 1:13published live and available. I'd really appreciate it if you
- 1:17guys would get yourself a copy. If you're asking why is it not
- 1:21available on Kindle for example. But because I want you guys to
- 1:24have a paper copy just in case, you never know and this is the
- 1:30kind of book you can sit with. Reflect on any blank pages that
- 1:34are left in there or semi intentional.
- 1:36There's not many pages like that, but when you see one or
- 1:40half page, feel free to write in it, make it personal with you.
- 1:45This is a bit of a game changer for me personally because it's
- 1:49kind of like letting go of something that's so precious to
- 1:52you and through many troubled nights.
- 1:55I wrote these poems for the last couple years.
- 2:00His way was written in 2019. In parts I was being woken up at
- 2:053:00 in the morning most nights and into 2020 and I would write
- 2:10just a fragment of that poem. We have some endorsements in the
- 2:141st 2 pages. I'm just going to take a minute
- 2:16to read those two endorsements for the book here.
- 2:21The first one is from Doctor Laura Sanger, who, if you're new
- 2:26to this podcast, is the author of The Roots of the Federal
- 2:29Reserve. She's a friend of the show she's
- 2:31been on a number of times and will be appearing here in the
- 2:34very near future again. But this is what she had to say
- 2:38about the words are solved. The first time I heard the poem
- 2:43his way was at the end of an interview on the Millennial
- 2:46Mustard Seed podcast. As Rod read it aloud, I was
- 2:50transposed into the presence of our Redeemer.
- 2:53I burst into worship and knew in my spirit that this poem would
- 2:57extend far and wide, calling the wayward home in the faithful
- 3:01hire. These poems come from a deep
- 3:03well of worship within Rod's heart, cultivated by intimate
- 3:07communion with the Waymaker. Just like the biblical giant
- 3:11slayers of old, Rod walks in the fear of the Lord with a warrior
- 3:14poet's heart enter into the sweet aroma of offering up
- 3:19worship in spirit and truth. Through the pages of this book,
- 3:23with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Rod has crafted words
- 3:26that will ignite you with a holy passion.
- 3:28Join him in stepping out in the faith the size of the mustard
- 3:32seed and watch the mountains in your life.
- 3:34Moon. Laura Sanger, PhD, author of The
- 3:38Roots of the Federal Reserve. The next one I have here, the
- 3:43second endorsement from Carly Tubbs.
- 3:46Let me read this one. Rod has assembled a body of work
- 3:50that invites the reader into a high place upon which to stand
- 3:53and look out through the big windows of Christ's eyes and to
- 3:56see the common experiences of life in a new way.
- 3:59The first time I heard him read Bodies on Season 4 Episode One O
- 4:03Two of his Millennial Mustard Seed podcast, it hearkened back
- 4:07to the beautiful and precarious tensions between our bodies
- 4:10being both the temple of the Holy Spirit and the most abused
- 4:14and relegated vessel of our human experiences.
- 4:17The podcast is a brilliant catalogue of thoughts,
- 4:20reflections, and interviews that testify to just how authentic he
- 4:24is in his pursuit to discuss a wide variety of topics while
- 4:27truly honoring the vessels through which Christ speaks.
- 4:31Everything Rod sets his heart to do for the Lord is a blessing to
- 4:35the body of Christ. And this book is the maiden
- 4:38voyage of his writings that are surely kept in the Libraries of
- 4:41Heaven by Carly Tubbs, life coach and guest and Patreon here
- 4:46at the Millennium Wants to see podcast you guys.
- 4:49I just want to thank you guys for listening to this.
- 4:53And if you are into poetry, parables, rants, short stories,
- 4:58elongated poems, this book is for you.
- 5:01I've actually introduced a new form of poetry into this many
- 5:05traditional styles of poetry that are introduced in this
- 5:09book, one of which I have coined the term collective flow.
- 5:13I'll let you figure that one out.
- 5:14When you get a copy of the book yourself, it is available on
- 5:19Amazon. Both hardcover and paperback
- 5:23options are available right now in the link in the show notes on
- 5:28Amazon. One of the most important things
- 5:31about me publicly talking about this today for the first time.
- 5:36I know I've shared this privately with a couple people
- 5:38leading up to the release who got themselves a copy right when
- 5:43it went live on the 4th and already got theirs in within
- 5:48just a couple days for a paperback.
- 5:51But me and my wife were in agreement for this to be
- 5:55broadcasted to all of you guys who are listeners here on the
- 5:58podcast and for social media, because today is my son Adam's
- 6:047th birthday. This is something I'll never
- 6:06forget. You know, the first time I ever
- 6:08released one of my writings that became published on my son's 7th
- 6:14birthday. That's kind of a big deal.
- 6:15We were in agreement on that. And it was to me.
- 6:18I'm like, man, I'll just never forget that.
- 6:20This is such a surreal moment. Look at what God did, man.
- 6:26I just praise God and give him glory and credit because a
- 6:30broken vessel like me growing up to become an author and an
- 6:34international broadcaster and just all this cool stuff that's
- 6:38going on behind the scenes, talking with different doctors,
- 6:41getting aligned with all these different ministries, seeing
- 6:44these plans unfold, being ahead of the curb in a lot of ways.
- 6:48And I don't say that proudly. I say that in humility because
- 6:51there's just not enough time in the day for me to try to explain
- 6:54to you guys the shift that is here and the shift that is
- 6:58coming. But I want to keep this under 10
- 7:01minutes, so please go get yourself a copy of The Words Are
- 7:06salt. It does not disappoint.
- 7:09Please help me share this episode here with friends,
- 7:13family members, pastor, Co worker, doctor, whoever.
- 7:17Just share the link and post it on your social medias.
- 7:20Get yourself a copy. I encourage you guys to leave me
- 7:23a review on Amazon and if you have not rated the podcast,
- 7:27leave me a review and plant a seed and partner with us every
- 7:31effort, every dime, every prayer at all the encouragement.
- 7:35It's not a wasted effort. Here we are trusting God to
- 7:38multiply everything so we can see the vision of Kingdom Land
- 7:43Project come to pass. Stepping out with a mustard seed
- 7:47sighs faith. Until next time, God bless and
- 7:53goodbye the, the,
- 9:03the, the.
