- 0:21Speaker 1: Taylor put it on the pole Hall of Fame Game tonight.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Will you watch? Give them options? Multiple choice?
- 0:26Speaker 2: One drive, one quarter, one half, none of the above.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I'm thinking like one drive, Yes, what do you think,
- 0:35Speaker 2: Mikey one drive each team offensive.
- 0:37Speaker 3: No, No, you're You're not even gonna see a starter
- 0:40Speaker 3: in the game. I'm not I'm not wasting my time.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're gonna see guys on a field playing football.
- 0:45Speaker 2: That's what you're gonna see.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I mean, they've been trying to figure that out for
- 0:50Speaker 3: a long time, whether it be the UFL, the XFL,
- 0:54Speaker 3: the Canadian football. They try and just say, hey, it's
- 0:57Speaker 3: guys on the field playing football. Watch it, and it's
- 1:00Speaker 3: it's just not the same. We are spoiled. We need
- 1:02Speaker 3: real college football, we need real NFL. Those are what I'll.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Watch, all right, is he What do you say? I'm
- 1:08Speaker 1: not even gonna turn it on. I don't even know
- 1:09Speaker 1: what time it's on.
- 1:10Speaker 4: I don't even know what channel it's on, I don't
- 1:12Speaker 4: know who's playing the fact that it's called the Hall
- 1:14Speaker 4: of Fame Game is the only reason why anybody would
- 1:17Speaker 4: even be like, hey, maybe.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I should watch that.
- 1:18Speaker 4: It's the first preseason game from I'm gonna go ahead
- 1:21Speaker 4: and guess to who are the teams again?
- 1:23Speaker 1: It's Panthers and Cardinals. Yeah. Again, I wouldn't watch.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I would, man, I would skip that game in the postseason, Okay,
- 1:31Speaker 4: I would. I would say, Hey, if I'm going to
- 1:33Speaker 4: miss a single playoff game, this is gonna.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Be the on So don't make me watch their third stringers.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Panthers Carolina Mikey is the four o'clock game. It doesn't
- 1:42Speaker 2: get the four to twenty five billing, right, it's a
- 1:44Speaker 2: four o'clock game.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It's a four oh five, right.
- 1:48Speaker 3: It's the other game in that window, so nothing so
- 1:51Speaker 3: the one o'clock window isn't completely stacked.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yes, yes, although the Panthers are intriguing. I will say that,
- 1:57Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:57Speaker 3: They won a Super Bowl last year. I mean it
- 1:59Speaker 3: was just taking the Rams as far as they did
- 2:02Speaker 3: in that one game, but that's their super Bowl.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yes, Aaron Donald, this is crazy. Their speculation as to
- 2:09Speaker 2: whether or not he's going to return. He officially worked
- 2:13Speaker 2: out for the Rams, so I think we could stop
- 2:15Speaker 2: speculating because he's gonna return, and is he This is
- 2:19Speaker 2: the first time in a long time where I can
- 2:21Speaker 2: remember thinking to myself. There is such an overwhelming favorite
- 2:25Speaker 2: in the NFL that I am tempted just to take
- 2:28Speaker 2: the Rams over the field because that team is that good.
- 2:31Speaker 2: You have to be so good to pry Aaron Donald
- 2:34Speaker 2: out of retirement. And the only reason he would come
- 2:37Speaker 2: out of retirement is not money. Certainly, he is delaying
- 2:41Speaker 2: his place in Canton. He will delay that by however
- 2:45Speaker 2: many years he delays it by. But he is coming
- 2:48Speaker 2: because he thinks this team can win a super Bowl.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Otherwise why would he come back? And so I am
- 2:54Speaker 2: fascinated by the idea that a guy who has been
- 2:56Speaker 2: out for a couple of years kept himself in shape
- 2:59Speaker 2: is one of the greatest defensive lineman we've ever seen.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I am fascinated by the idea of a him coming
- 3:04Speaker 2: back and be that team being so dominant where they
- 3:07Speaker 2: feel like the overwhelming team favorite to win a super
- 3:10Speaker 2: Bowl in his sport, in which anything could happen.
- 3:13Speaker 4: What do you imagine the reason was for Aaron Donald
- 3:17Speaker 4: actually working out at the facility, because a I mean,
- 3:21Speaker 4: we know, if he just has access, going to be
- 3:23Speaker 4: for this team, right, But for what, like Aaron Donald
- 3:26Speaker 4: of all people, It's not like do you think he's
- 3:28Speaker 4: testing his body to see if he's capable of doing that.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I think that's what he's been doing prepping for this. Right,
- 3:34Speaker 4: So if Aaron Donald feels, hey, I'm in good shape,
- 3:37Speaker 4: I'm in my playing shape, he doesn't have to work
- 3:40Speaker 4: out at all. He'll be like, yeah, I'm here, let's
- 3:42Speaker 4: go ahead and play. The other thing is the teams
- 3:46Speaker 4: that have had this level of favorite right attached to
- 3:51Speaker 4: them if he joins the team. I can only think
- 3:53Speaker 4: of three in my lifetime. It was the eighty six Bears,
- 3:59Speaker 4: and I was, you know, nine, so I'm probably thinking
- 4:03Speaker 4: during the season they became that favorite, not necessarily preseason.
- 4:07Speaker 4: The other one was the Randy Moss Patriots, which obviously
- 4:11Speaker 4: almost pulled it off, almost did that. And then the
- 4:13Speaker 4: third team was and I'm gonna say it was the
- 4:16Speaker 4: team that lost to Tom Brady in in his first
- 4:20Speaker 4: Super Bowl. It was the greatest show on turf their
- 4:23Speaker 4: second year, right, Yes, because everybody felt unstoppable. Yes they did,
- 4:27Speaker 4: and for whatever reason I remember, maybe they even improved
- 4:30Speaker 4: the offense by making you know, a free agent addition.
- 4:34Speaker 4: So of those three, one of them from the Super Bowl, Yes,
- 4:40Speaker 4: But I don't know if I'm missing anybody? Am I
- 4:42Speaker 4: missing anybody?
- 4:42Speaker 1: Mikey?
- 4:43Speaker 4: Just in terms of like teams that come to mind
- 4:45Speaker 4: that were big time favorite.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Well, first off with the eighty five Bears, I think
- 4:48Speaker 2: you have it right. I think headed into the season
- 4:50Speaker 2: they were overwhelming favorites. That defense was so good and
- 4:53Speaker 2: they had Walter Payton, I think the best running back
- 4:56Speaker 2: in the NFL at the time, and they pulled it off.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and if they dominated every yes.
- 5:00Speaker 4: It felt like maybe quarterbacks weren't that crucial, but maybe
- 5:04Speaker 4: Jim McMahon could still be the not that he was bad,
- 5:07Speaker 4: but that he could still be the quarterback of that
- 5:09Speaker 4: team and say, yeah, they're overwhelming favorites, because these days
- 5:12Speaker 4: you almost have to have the elite level quarterback for
- 5:15Speaker 4: you to say going into a season, hey, they are
- 5:18Speaker 4: potentially favorites.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I mean one of those Chiefs teams, Bike, he has
- 5:21Speaker 2: to they had to be like overwhelming favorites headed into
- 5:24Speaker 2: a season. No good point, yes, but which one.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I feel like they were favorites, But I don't feel
- 5:31Speaker 3: like it was them or the field in any discussion.
- 5:34Speaker 3: The way we're gonna have it. With the Rams, I
- 5:36Speaker 3: feel like it was like, yeah, the Chiefs will probably
- 5:38Speaker 3: be there at the end. But I would be stunned
- 5:41Speaker 3: if the Rams aren't at least in the Super Bowl,
- 5:44Speaker 3: let alone winning.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It this year. Same. Yes, that's crazy, but that's without
- 5:48Speaker 1: Aaron Donald. I know right that.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yes, they're in the same division as the reigning Super
- 5:55Speaker 3: Bowl champions, and we're.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Like, they're not winning. Wow.
- 5:59Speaker 4: According to Google AI overview, the biggest favorite that the
- 6:04Speaker 4: Kansas City Chiefs were entering a season was twenty twenty four,
- 6:09Speaker 4: coming off.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Of a Super Bowl win. Right, and they didn't go
- 6:12Speaker 1: back to back, did they? I'm so confused with it.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You're listen rightfully, So you were asking these questions because
- 6:19Speaker 2: the Chiefs teams are starting to blur, they're starting to
- 6:21Speaker 2: blend together. I have no idea which Chiefs team we're talking. Yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 2: the Chiefs team would to rekill that won a Super Bowl.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Then he left came to Miami. Then he had a
- 6:29Speaker 2: different set of Kansas City Chiefs. I have no idea
- 6:31Speaker 2: which team you're talking about. You're right, I don't know
- 6:34Speaker 2: if they went back to back that year.
- 6:36Speaker 4: So the twenty twenty four year, they went to the
- 6:38Speaker 4: Super Bowl and lost to the Eagles.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Okay, all right, to Jalen Hurts, who should have beaten
- 6:45Speaker 2: him twice in three years.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Why did twenty twenty four seem like so long ago?
- 6:48Speaker 4: This dude, I don't know, it feels like ten years ago.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I've lost track of time. But am I wrong here? Like?
- 6:55Speaker 1: What are the Rams headed into the season?
- 6:58Speaker 5: You have a Taylor yeah on FanDuel the RAM plus
- 7:00Speaker 5: five to fifty. I think I'm the only one here
- 7:03Speaker 5: who is not doing Rams versus the field? Why because
- 7:06Speaker 5: the overwhelming favorite in the NFL. Like you look at
- 7:09Speaker 5: some of the biggest favorites in NFL history, Oh seven
- 7:12Speaker 5: Patriots that as he mentioned, they were plus two to fifty,
- 7:15Speaker 5: twenty seventeen Patriots plus two to seventy five, two thousand
- 7:19Speaker 5: Rams plus three hundred. None of those teams won the
- 7:22Speaker 5: Super Bowl. There's just as good as team.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I know.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Teams might not have the RAMS roster on paper, but
- 7:29Speaker 5: in a sport like the NFL that's designed to have
- 7:32Speaker 5: as much parody as it is, you're one Stafford injury away.
- 7:36Speaker 5: You're you're one Miles Garrett injury away from a team
- 7:39Speaker 5: having major question marks over a seventeen game season.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I think that's why Mikey is saying he'd be shocked
- 7:46Speaker 2: if they didn't just make the super Bowl. Like, once
- 7:48Speaker 2: you get to the super Bowl, anything can happen. You're
- 7:50Speaker 2: playing a really good team obviously out of the other conference.
- 7:54Speaker 2: But I think that's why Mikey is comfortable in saying
- 7:57Speaker 2: I'd be shocked if they weren't in the super Bowl.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Well because part for me, part of this for me,
- 8:02Speaker 4: the reason that they feel like greater favorites and maybe
- 8:05Speaker 4: they will be if they signed Aaron Donald, it might
- 8:07Speaker 4: drop to the two hundred plus three hundred range. Is
- 8:09Speaker 4: who is second place? Who is the second best team
- 8:13Speaker 4: in your mind off the Dome going into this season?
- 8:17Speaker 1: Seattle? Same division, right, same division?
- 8:20Speaker 4: You probably figure, you know, the Rams would you know,
- 8:24Speaker 4: probably have to get past them to get to the
- 8:26Speaker 4: super Bowl.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But I believe they could, right. What about from the
- 8:29Speaker 1: other conference?
- 8:29Speaker 5: Like is it Buffalo Bill's Ravens Bills and Ravens Chiefs
- 8:35Speaker 5: with new coaches?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yes?
- 8:36Speaker 4: Right, So how do you factor that in? They could
- 8:39Speaker 4: be disasters, right, They could be coaches that don't really
- 8:41Speaker 4: work out. And so because of all that, because there
- 8:44Speaker 4: isn't some team right at their heels except for Look,
- 8:48Speaker 4: anybody who thinks Sam Darnold's going to win back to
- 8:50Speaker 4: back Super Bowls. Get that person into a mental institution. Okay,
- 8:53Speaker 4: I don't think he wouldn't won.
- 8:55Speaker 1: They're either genius or right.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yes, but he won the one, right, Yeah, but we
- 9:02Speaker 2: can't be surprised if he wins a second in the
- 9:04Speaker 2: very next year.
- 9:05Speaker 4: I would be absolutely Look, I would rather find me
- 9:10Speaker 4: a bet that says, hey, the Seattle Seahawks will not
- 9:13Speaker 4: win another Super Bowl. I'm sure the odds are terrible.
- 9:15Speaker 4: I bet have to bet one thousand to win a dollar, right,
- 9:17Speaker 4: but I do it?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Right?
- 9:18Speaker 5: Is the counter to your point of trying to find
- 9:21Speaker 5: who the second best NFL team is when it comes
- 9:25Speaker 5: to Rams versus the field. I think the reason why
- 9:28Speaker 5: most people would take the field is we don't know
- 9:30Speaker 5: who the second best NFL team is. But if you're
- 9:33Speaker 5: if our options are we get the Seahawks, the Bills,
- 9:36Speaker 5: the Ravens, the Chargers, the Patriots, the Eagles, the Chiefs,
- 9:39Speaker 5: the Texans, the forty nine Ers, Broncos, more people are
- 9:42Speaker 5: going to be comfortable with taking that option than taking
- 9:46Speaker 5: the Rams and banking on a RAMS season playing out
- 9:49Speaker 5: perfectly on paper. Translating that to the field.
- 9:53Speaker 1: By playing out perfectly. You mean Stafford has to stay healthy.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Right, That's the only guy, right, because they have depth
- 9:58Speaker 4: at other spots that they and Cupboard. Now, if you're
- 10:01Speaker 4: losing Miles Garrett for the season, that's a whole different question.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Especially if you have Donald though, that's right.
- 10:07Speaker 4: But even then you still have Aaron Donald, then you
- 10:10Speaker 4: have a great you still have a great defensive line.
- 10:12Speaker 4: So yeah, and the fact that I didn't even think
- 10:15Speaker 4: about the Patriots, because that's just gonna be hard to replicate.
- 10:18Speaker 4: They had the easy schedule, they had, you know, a
- 10:21Speaker 4: lot of things going their way.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And it's just going to be It's good to be
- 10:23Speaker 1: a little bit more tough this year.
- 10:26Speaker 3: See you say it's just Stafford, but you could lose
- 10:28Speaker 3: like two offensive linemen and all of a sudden, your
- 10:31Speaker 3: entire game plan becomes questionable each week because you can't
- 10:36Speaker 3: do what it is you do and real quick, I
- 10:39Speaker 3: just want to go back to something. Is he asked
- 10:41Speaker 3: earlier why Aaron Donald needed to go in today? Do
- 10:45Speaker 3: you think maybe he just wanted to walk into the
- 10:47Speaker 3: facility and see how it feels like I think maybe
- 10:50Speaker 3: he just wanted to walk in and be like Am
- 10:52Speaker 3: I dreading this right now? Or is this like where
- 10:55Speaker 3: I want to be?
- 10:56Speaker 1: Is this the kind of thing where.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I'm excited to go see these guys in the locker room.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Or am I like, yeah, I'm gonna go try and
- 11:02Speaker 3: win one more Super Bowl?
- 11:03Speaker 5: I would do gottsto because stop saying Aaron Donald might return.
- 11:07Speaker 5: I mean, let me be the first to report Aaron
- 11:12Speaker 5: Donald will be playing this season for the Rams. Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 5: credit me, please.
- 11:16Speaker 1: He's back. Mikey, what do you have him doing?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Just poking around, peaking around the facility, check it out,
- 11:20Speaker 2: practicing how the pick is doing this season.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I got him opening the door to the facility, walking in,
- 11:28Speaker 3: taking a deep breath in and going, yeah, I think
- 11:32Speaker 3: this is where I want to I think.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I want to. Yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Just just let let me smell it.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Let me smell what the facility is like. Let me
- 11:40Speaker 1: say hello, not the locker room.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Let me let me say hello to the guy in
- 11:43Speaker 3: accounting who's walking by that I remember from three years
- 11:46Speaker 3: ago when I was here.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Just be like, you know I missed that guy.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I will come back.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So a sniff test.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Test, Mikey to your original point about the offensive lineman,
- 11:58Speaker 4: look somebody's gonna have to the research for this about
- 12:01Speaker 4: this for me, but I swear on my life, every
- 12:05Speaker 4: team in the NFL, even especially the good ones, or
- 12:07Speaker 4: even the good ones, have at least two significant offensive
- 12:11Speaker 4: line injuries every single year. And it doesn't frankly, the
- 12:15Speaker 4: earlier the better because if you get that done out
- 12:17Speaker 4: of the way, you find somebody else, you create a
- 12:19Speaker 4: rhythm of chemistry with that offensive line, and you're good.
- 12:21Speaker 1: To me.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Yes, offensive line is a lot about talent and everything
- 12:24Speaker 4: else in size and ability, but most of that stuff
- 12:27Speaker 4: is scheme and chemistry and your offense and continuity. So
- 12:31Speaker 4: if you have the same five guys for any amount
- 12:33Speaker 4: of time, it doesn't matter which five guys.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Pretty sure they'll be okay five guys.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Yeah, but you saw with the Patriots where you have
- 12:40Speaker 5: a banged up Will Campbell going into the postseason, and
- 12:44Speaker 5: then if you even show the slightest bit of weakness
- 12:48Speaker 5: on your offensive line against a Mike McDonald defense in Seattle,
- 12:52Speaker 5: those guys are just gonna pin their ears back and
- 12:55Speaker 5: just tee off on your quarterback. And we saw that
- 12:58Speaker 5: in the Super Bowl where Drake May. Drake May could
- 13:02Speaker 5: have had all day to throw back there. He was
- 13:04Speaker 5: never going to have any success in that game because
- 13:07Speaker 5: of how well Seattle's defense was playing.
- 13:09Speaker 2: We do this thing with Stafford though, about him staying healthy.
- 13:12Speaker 2: He played seventeen games last year, year before started sixteen games,
- 13:16Speaker 2: year before started fifteen games. If he merely starts fifteen
- 13:20Speaker 2: games this year, I feel like the Rams are gonna
- 13:22Speaker 2: be the one seed and go to the super Bowl.
- 13:23Speaker 4: This is why all the question marks Flemm's me like,
- 13:25Speaker 4: just because he got a little extra gray in the beard,
- 13:27Speaker 4: like all of a sudden he's gonna get injured, or
- 13:29Speaker 4: because he had to think about for a second whether
- 13:32Speaker 4: he was going to come back, Like, no, he's he's
- 13:34Speaker 4: there's no reason for him to be hurt unless you
- 13:36Speaker 4: know that O line of Swiss cheese.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Yes.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Yeah, but once you start getting into the territory of
- 13:41Speaker 5: having like the aggravated spinal disc and the epidural shots. Yes,
- 13:45Speaker 5: I think it is fair that people could question, like,
- 13:49Speaker 5: can this guy stay healthy? The older he gets.
- 13:51Speaker 2: It'll make you nervous those things, Yes, no question had
- 13:54Speaker 2: how many of you hads to two or three?
- 13:56Speaker 1: Thank you for another one? Or I could use one?
- 13:59Speaker 1: I take one day if I could my doctor would
- 14:01Speaker 1: let me.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I mean nothing, loosens up the back like an old needle,
- 14:05Speaker 2: you know, the big needle.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Any one of those in my ass right now, esus,
- 14:09Speaker 4: my upper hamstring has killing me.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Anytime the doctor does it, I can't watch. Watch Why
- 14:13Speaker 2: would you watch?
- 14:14Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:14Speaker 1: I can't. I don't watch when they're drawing blood for me. Oh,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Put it on the pole, tailor, can you watch the
- 14:20Speaker 2: doctor draw blood from your veins?
- 14:24Speaker 5: Stu, I'm gonna say something that's probably gonna surprise everybody here. Yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 5: the Hall of Fame game tonight. I'm gonna watch every snap.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Get out of here. I'm gonna watch.
- 14:32Speaker 2: So you're gonna you're gonna on the pole. You're gonna
- 14:34Speaker 2: say none of the above, because why not that you're
- 14:36Speaker 2: not watching any You're watching all of it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: The Yankees not playing today, No, the Yankees do have
- 14:40Speaker 1: an off day.
- 14:41Speaker 5: But when you were running through the options, I was like,
- 14:43Speaker 5: where was the every snap option? Because for me, what
- 14:48Speaker 5: the best part of preseason is there's probably like five
- 14:52Speaker 5: to ten roster spots up for grabs for for every
- 14:56Speaker 5: team in the NFL. I love That's why I like
- 14:59Speaker 5: the hard knocks aspect of a bad team because you
- 15:02Speaker 5: see the inner workings, you see the guys getting cut.
- 15:05Speaker 5: I like seeing the guys that are out there fighting
- 15:07Speaker 5: for a team, and I think that's the best part
- 15:10Speaker 5: of the preseason games. If you gave me the option, hey,
- 15:13Speaker 5: you could watch the first quarter of a preseason game
- 15:15Speaker 5: or a fourth quarter of a preseason you're watching the
- 15:17Speaker 5: fourth Yeah, I might turn this game on to the
- 15:19Speaker 5: second half.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, guys trying to get a job. Yeah, I like
- 15:22Speaker 2: that in your life. Make that an option, just the
- 15:25Speaker 2: second half.
- 15:26Speaker 4: The main reason I would watch one of these is
- 15:28Speaker 4: just to steal any cool plays that they've got and
- 15:31Speaker 4: throw it into my offensive playbook.
- 15:33Speaker 1: However, it is the Cardinals and the Panthers.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Yeah, they're not gonna really unload a bunch of fancy
- 15:38Speaker 4: stuff in the Hall of Fame game.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Let's show all our fun stuff with our third stringers
- 15:43Speaker 3: in a preseason game.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yes, you want to try to get a quarterback killed,
- 15:46Speaker 2: that's what you do. Yeah, but this is adorable, guys.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Because the walk onto North Carolina's football team. He likes
- 15:52Speaker 2: to watch guys, you know, trying to get a job
- 15:54Speaker 2: in the third or fourth quarter.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Or a preseason game number one.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Yeah, so the only people who are gonna be watching
- 16:00Speaker 5: in the fourth quarter are going to be people like
- 16:02Speaker 5: me that want to romanticize football, and then the people
- 16:06Speaker 5: that are seeing if they could hit the over thirty
- 16:09Speaker 5: five and a half. Because I was listening earlier, Chris
- 16:12Speaker 5: Canty on ESPN Radio was given his best picks for
- 16:15Speaker 5: the game, and I was like, you've got to kid,
- 16:17Speaker 5: I love football. Betting on the preseason football bridge too
- 16:20Speaker 5: far for me.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Put it on the pole.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Is betting on preseason football a bridge too far for you?
- 16:27Speaker 1: You keep that up?
- 16:28Speaker 4: Eventually ESPN will be doing a mediocre podcast about you.
- 16:31Speaker 5: I think his best pick tonight was Cardinals to score
- 16:36Speaker 5: a touchdown on the opening drive plus seven hundred. He
- 16:40Speaker 5: really likes Carson Beck starting tonight for the Cardinals.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, why are you ripping the.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Tell me whatever?
- 17:00Speaker 5: Allegedly? Oh Tony did it right.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I'm no, that's a meat lacking from this podcast. I
- 17:07Speaker 4: don't really know if there's anything good about it, to
- 17:09Speaker 4: be honest, but you.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Would agree there's no way that someone BET's like crazy.
- 17:13Speaker 2: According to this thirty for thirty was insane. They said
- 17:16Speaker 2: the amount of bets his trainer was putting in and
- 17:19Speaker 2: there's no I don't care how much money you have,
- 17:21Speaker 2: is he If someone is withdrawing sixteen million dollars from
- 17:25Speaker 2: your account, you're aware of it, right, you know what's
- 17:28Speaker 2: going on.
- 17:28Speaker 4: And not if you are not running your own financial account,
- 17:32Speaker 4: you might check on it every once in a while.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Like I don't know if Drake checks on his account
- 17:36Speaker 4: all the time before he puts in a three million
- 17:38Speaker 4: dollar bet for a loser, which.
- 17:39Speaker 1: By the way, I don't buy.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I feel like he just puts out a number and
- 17:43Speaker 4: he's probably hedged a million times. He's probably found different ways,
- 17:46Speaker 4: but he just wants to be famous for always putting
- 17:48Speaker 4: big money on a loser.
- 17:49Speaker 1: He really lost three dollars.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Yeah, we could test the millionaire if he notices money
- 17:56Speaker 5: missing from his account. STU, what's your.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah, let's look that up. I got a guy named
- 18:02Speaker 1: Ipe who wants to help out.
- 18:04Speaker 2: I would notice, I mean, and Otani noticed.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I believe that he noticed. I should say that matter.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Have you listened to the podcast? I know there's no
- 18:12Speaker 2: evidence in there. Now you've got too far. I'm getting
- 18:16Speaker 2: to it.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Have you guys seen Not to change the subject, but
- 18:19Speaker 4: have you guys, seen this photo of Bill Belichick where
- 18:22Speaker 4: people believe that he might have had a nipple piercing,
- 18:26Speaker 4: like a barbell nipple piercing underneath there.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I mean, nothing would shock me at this point in
- 18:30Speaker 1: your favor.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Do it quick Google search and go Bill Belichick nipple piercing.
- 18:34Speaker 4: And there's a photo of him fully clothed with I
- 18:37Speaker 4: believe Jordan.
- 18:38Speaker 2: And not the Belichick I thought we'd be talking about
- 18:40Speaker 2: today by the wall, his son whatever.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And if you zoom in, it looks like it's like
- 18:47Speaker 4: protruding from the inside through the shirt.
- 18:50Speaker 1: A little bar bell. And this is where we are
- 18:54Speaker 1: with Bill Belichick.
- 18:55Speaker 4: That people would just believe that and think not that
- 18:59Speaker 4: that photo is fake, but just believe that, Oh yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 4: this seems like Bill Belichick. Now he's dating this young girl,
- 19:05Speaker 4: maybe he would do this to his nipple. I'm ninety
- 19:08Speaker 4: nine percent sure he was wearing a name tag on
- 19:11Speaker 4: that exact spot for a long time, and that is
- 19:14Speaker 4: just the imprint of the name tag, because.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You could see little holes in the shirt as well.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yeah, but the fact, like fifteen years ago, the first
- 19:22Speaker 4: thing somebody would have said is, oh man, he still
- 19:24Speaker 4: got the imprint from his name.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Tag, But today it's like, does he have a nipple piercing? Right?
- 19:30Speaker 2: But it's a North Carolina it's a North Carolina shirt,
- 19:34Speaker 2: so it's a relatively new shirt.
- 19:37Speaker 1: It looks like a I mean, it looks like a
- 19:38Speaker 1: nipple ring.
- 19:41Speaker 3: I'm trying to figure out which one is more likely,
- 19:44Speaker 3: the fact that Bill Belichick got his nipple pierce or
- 19:47Speaker 3: the fact that he needed to walk around North Carolina
- 19:49Speaker 3: with a name tag long enough for that to happen.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Hey, who is that guy? Who are you?
- 19:57Speaker 5: So the picture comes the picture comes from a parody?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Does it? Okay? That's fantastic. Well that settles out.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Well, I doubled chaid because I googled it and and
- 20:08Speaker 4: the thing is is like, it doesn't look like a
- 20:11Speaker 4: nipple piercing like it actually looks like a like I said,
- 20:14Speaker 4: an imprint from a name tag. That's why I thought
- 20:16Speaker 4: it was real, Right, I'm not even sure it isn't real.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Well, it's not.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Well, now we're supposed to believe everything. Taylor says, it
- 20:23Speaker 4: has a.
- 20:24Speaker 5: It's been community noted. That's and it says, this is
- 20:27Speaker 5: an edited image made by an account that has been
- 20:30Speaker 5: repeatedly community noted for undisclosed digital edits.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Well, here's the difference between you and me. I'm not
- 20:35Speaker 1: on X. I got this, you know, three layers later
- 20:39Speaker 1: and again seems very very real. Well, who'd you get
- 20:42Speaker 1: it from something on Instagram? You fell for it? It's okay,
- 20:47Speaker 1: I do it. I do it all the time.
- 20:50Speaker 4: But that's the whole point, right, is the fact that
- 20:52Speaker 4: people can even fall for it now kind of tells
- 20:55Speaker 4: you where.
- 20:56Speaker 2: We are with Bill Belichick. That's all I would try
- 20:58Speaker 2: to go with that. Yell, what's going on with Belichick's son?
- 21:03Speaker 1: Uh?
- 21:03Speaker 5: Leave from the program?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Sick? I think they said, okay, all right, not to leave.
- 21:09Speaker 1: You were looking for.
- 21:11Speaker 5: No, I don't have a problem with Steve.
- 21:12Speaker 1: No, you're looking for Bill to leave men events.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, the reported medical leave from you and ce football?
- 21:18Speaker 1: All right?
- 21:19Speaker 2: Is he? What were you telling me earlier? You asked
- 21:21Speaker 2: me to look up and I did look it up.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Jeffrey Yacht a Mets pitcher who does a crazy celebration.
- 21:27Speaker 1: He flips on the mat, slip. What does he do?
- 21:30Speaker 1: He doesn't split? Again. I looked it up. I watched it.
- 21:33Speaker 1: It was a parody account.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry they had him flip it, But what why
- 21:37Speaker 2: are you infatuated with Jeffrey Yan of the New York Mets.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Well, first of all, as a Mets fan, you should
- 21:43Speaker 1: know who he is. Why that I remember watching baseball, Jeff.
- 21:51Speaker 4: If you did something like this, you wouldn't just be
- 21:55Speaker 4: I don't even know he's a pitcher, so you're not
- 21:57Speaker 4: gonna throw at him, But you wouldn't just like be
- 21:59Speaker 4: charged like your entire team.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Would be beamed with the ball as a result.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Because it is the most dramatic celebration I've ever seen
- 22:11Speaker 4: on the mound. And if this guy is gonna do
- 22:13Speaker 4: it now, he's been doing it his entire career apparently.
- 22:16Speaker 4: But Taylor, if he's going to do this every strikeout
- 22:19Speaker 4: that he gets in the Major League, like, either he
- 22:22Speaker 4: is changing, He's bringing the World Baseball Classic into our
- 22:27Speaker 4: you know, World Bakesaw plastic into the MLB, or he's
- 22:30Speaker 4: just gonna have to tone it down because you know,
- 22:32Speaker 4: the Freddie Freeman's of the world are going to get
- 22:34Speaker 4: him to calm down.
- 22:35Speaker 5: I am so out on Baseball's unwritten rules. If Yon
- 22:38Speaker 5: wants to jump around every time he gets a strikeout,
- 22:41Speaker 5: good good for him. This Mets team stinks. If he's
- 22:44Speaker 5: trying to bring a little excitement to it, like sue him.
- 22:48Speaker 5: But in The Guardians too, they were started mocking him
- 22:53Speaker 5: in the dugout, jumping around every time they were scoring
- 22:55Speaker 5: a run, doing doing the dance that he was doing.
- 22:59Speaker 5: The Guardians they had this incident over the weekend two
- 23:02Speaker 5: where they're getting mad about the trying to break up
- 23:05Speaker 5: a perfect game with a bunch baseball unwritten rules. I
- 23:08Speaker 5: love baseball. The unwritten rules is where baseball starts to
- 23:12Speaker 5: lose me. Where you have guys like Brian McCann. Brian McCann,
- 23:16Speaker 5: nobody guards baseball's unwritten rules like Brian McCann used to. Right,
- 23:21Speaker 5: just let people have fun. If baseball could be more
- 23:24Speaker 5: like the World Baseball Classic, I'm signing up for that
- 23:26Speaker 5: every time.
- 23:27Speaker 2: But you would agree that type of celebration when your
- 23:29Speaker 2: team is forty nine and sixty six is probably gonna
- 23:32Speaker 2: get someone beamed.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Well, he did get a lot of credit for just
- 23:35Speaker 4: bringing some energy into that, you know, terrible Mets dugout.
- 23:40Speaker 4: And so the thing that I was watching was not
- 23:42Speaker 4: just do I feel like he might get hurt doing
- 23:45Speaker 4: that celebration over and over again, But there's a couple
- 23:48Speaker 4: of plays where it wasn't even a strikeout and he's
- 23:51Speaker 4: like half in the air.
- 23:52Speaker 1: He's just so jumpy. Well, he was anticipating, he thought
- 23:55Speaker 1: it was a strike, you know.
- 23:56Speaker 4: I mean, I think the batter swung and and he's
- 24:00Speaker 4: still like whoop, like just jumps in the here.
- 24:03Speaker 3: You can't have a long career if that's what you
- 24:06Speaker 3: do after every strike, right, because there's going to come
- 24:08Speaker 3: a moment where you're going to jump up, to jump up,
- 24:11Speaker 3: and on your way down you're gonna be like, oh
- 24:13Speaker 3: that hurts, Yeah, I tore something, something's not and then
- 24:17Speaker 3: you just kind of have to stop doing that for
- 24:20Speaker 3: the rest of your life.
- 24:21Speaker 1: You can't have a long career.
- 24:22Speaker 3: It's it's gotta end soon.
- 24:25Speaker 1: But it's just starting, so hopefully not soon. It is
- 24:28Speaker 1: a great leap that he is. It's a great lead
- 24:31Speaker 1: when you're sixty six and forty nine. It makes me
- 24:34Speaker 1: think he's in the wrong sport. He's pitched.
- 24:36Speaker 3: It looks like Frank Dreben from The Naked Gun when
- 24:39Speaker 3: he calls strike three as an umpire, that's.
- 24:42Speaker 1: What it looks like. Really punches him out.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Yeah, he's pitched one inning for the Mets. And and
- 24:47Speaker 5: Stu Gott's is like, your team has done nothing but lose.
- 24:51Speaker 5: You've you've done nothing to contribute to all the losses
- 24:53Speaker 5: you have this season. So don't jump around when you
- 24:55Speaker 5: come in and throw a scoreless inning.
- 24:58Speaker 1: No, don't. You're forty nine and sixty six.
- 25:00Speaker 2: There's not a single reason to celebrate anything happening in
- 25:03Speaker 2: City field.
- 25:04Speaker 5: But how about this what they're one and oh when
- 25:06Speaker 5: Jeffrey Yon pitches, I'll keep doing it.
