- 0:11Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:12Speaker 2: What's going on? Here we are.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, boys.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You guys happen to look like you're wearing golf clothes. Ooh, golf.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We just celebrated Nick's birthday last night. Let's get it.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It was so fun. We had a blast. That's just
- 0:25Speaker 2: a half a clap for you. We had chocolate cake,
- 0:26Speaker 2: which I never have. You never had chocolate cake. Actually,
- 0:29Speaker 2: Hershey's DM'd me when they sold the cake.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Did they?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah. They said, here, let me read the DM. Let's see.
- 0:33Speaker 2: This is really funny, actually. Hershey's DM'd me and said,
- 0:37Speaker 2: now this is our kind of celebration. Oh, love it.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I sent the eye emojis back and hope that I'm
- 0:42Speaker 2: going to get some free chocolate.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I don't know what they, I mean, it looks like
- 0:46Speaker 2: a s'more cake. It was s'mores.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:49Speaker 2: And what do you typically do? Oh, you usually go
- 0:51Speaker 2: pumpkin pie. But you're going to get a lot of that. Yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 2: that was a surprise. I didn't see pumpkin pie. And
- 0:55Speaker 2: Danny's birthday is tomorrow. It is pumpkin season. So what's our,
- 0:58Speaker 2: what is your plans? What are we doing?
- 1:01Speaker 5: You're coming over here? We're doing it there, yep. We're
- 1:04Speaker 5: going to where you are at the golf course.
- 1:06Speaker 2: This house that you're at has a lazy river, right?
- 1:10Speaker 2: They're all in it right now. It is insane.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Kevin's got that lazy river money. I got that lazy
- 1:15Speaker 5: river money. They're all outside on the pool.
- 1:17Speaker 2: People are arriving. You come over anytime? What does it
- 1:20Speaker 2: say behind you? Welcome to Old Town Scottsdale. Is it
- 1:24Speaker 2: like a themed house?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Um, no, this is just like what feels like a
- 1:29Speaker 5: convention area. Like this looks like a boardroom area. A
- 1:32Speaker 5: normal home has a convention area.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, exactly. That's sick. That's fine. We're having a
- 1:38Speaker 2: good time.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Any drama yet? Uh, no drama yet. I have been
- 1:43Speaker 2: invited to all the events. It's been great. All the events?
- 1:46Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Because last time you got mad because they did something
- 1:48Speaker 3: without him. They had breakfast without him.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Oh, right, right, right, right. That's right. So, yeah, we're
- 1:52Speaker 2: so far so good.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Yeah, so I snuck out this morning after your party
- 1:56Speaker 5: last night. Everyone was sleeping it off, and I went
- 1:59Speaker 5: and played the festivities.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I have no idea. Just, you know, making hats. Got it.
- 2:06Speaker 2: We did make hats for your party. I made six hats.
- 2:07Speaker 2: We played golf this morning. We played golf. You did?
- 2:11Speaker 2: You were here? I did. What the hell? I was here. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 2: we showed up. We were on the course at 7.30.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I've just been prepping this whole morning for this interview.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That's all I've been doing.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Not going to lie, I am a bit nervous for
- 2:21Speaker 3: this interview today. I don't really get nervous, but these
- 2:23Speaker 3: two guys are heroes of mine.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I mean, they're just cool as shit. They're the coolest.
- 2:29Speaker 2: All right, all right, all right. I've been trying to
- 2:31Speaker 2: be casual about it all day, but I'm definitely, you know.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I mean, look, there's not enough prep in the world
- 2:35Speaker 2: for people like this when you speak to people that
- 2:37Speaker 2: are just fantastic. They're not only so incredibly talented, but
- 2:40Speaker 2: they mean well. They have such big hearts. And, you know,
- 2:44Speaker 2: like us, they are potentially, if not for sure, brothers.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And so it's nice to talk to another pair of bros. And,
- 2:51Speaker 2: I mean, their credits, it's just, we wouldn't have enough
- 2:56Speaker 2: time to kind of like speak about the awards they've
- 2:59Speaker 2: won and the milestones they've made for charities, for their,
- 3:06Speaker 2: for the state of Texas. State of Texas.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I think we should just bring them in. What do
- 3:11Speaker 2: you guys think? I think so. Ladies and gentlemen, please
- 3:12Speaker 2: welcome to the pod, Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. Hi, gentlemen.
- 3:18Speaker 2: How are you guys doing?
- 3:19Speaker 4: We're good, man.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Good.
- 3:20Speaker 4: How are you? Y'all doing good?
- 3:22Speaker 2: We're doing really well. We are so thrilled to talk
- 3:24Speaker 2: to you guys and talk about this new project. We're
- 3:26Speaker 2: very excited to watch it. If you don't mind, tell
- 3:29Speaker 2: the listener all about this show and why you guys
- 3:31Speaker 2: decided to put this thing on tape and go to
- 3:34Speaker 2: your friends at Apple.com.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Yeah, so about nine years ago, we're on vacation, my
- 3:38Speaker 4: family and Woody's family. We've been on many vacations for
- 3:41Speaker 4: decades now. And his kids always call me Uncle Matthew.
- 3:46Speaker 4: My kids call him Uncle Woody. And, oh, my gosh,
- 3:48Speaker 4: you're so much like your brothers, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 3:51Speaker 4: It's always in jest. And this particular night at about
- 3:54Speaker 4: 1 a.m., my mom, after just the right amount of
- 3:57Speaker 4: Kendall Jacksons and whatever she smoked when she took a
- 4:00Speaker 4: walk with Woody that night, throws this line at us.
- 4:02Speaker 4: She goes, oh, I knew. Your father, Woody.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Oh boy.
- 4:08Speaker 4: And the innuendo in that ellipsis made everybody, even my
- 4:13Speaker 4: six-year-old son, think, oh, they must have hooked up. Oh boy.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And so we laughed, but then the kids didn't laugh
- 4:22Speaker 4: and you didn't laugh. He was like, oh, I believe it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I do.
- 4:27Speaker 4: He's believed it since that day. I do not believe it.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Do we know for sure if this is real?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Wait.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Listen, we know for sure that they shagged.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Oh, we don't know for sure.
- 4:39Speaker 1: They definitely did the horizontal bebop, and it's a real deal.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And then it was around the time that she was
- 4:48Speaker 1: on her second divorce from Jim because they got married
- 4:52Speaker 1: three times.
- 4:53Speaker 4: My mom and dad were married three times, divorced twice. Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 4: And the timeline would add up that— whenever I was
- 5:01Speaker 4: going to be conceived at my age, would have lined
- 5:03Speaker 4: up with my mom's second divorce.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And when Momac went to, said, come on, Jim, I'm
- 5:14Speaker 1: ready to give birth, he says, no, I'm not going.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That ain't my kid, because he.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Did the math, and it wasn't mathing.
- 5:23Speaker 1: But it mathed pretty good for Charles V.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Harrelson, you know? I'd say so.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Copy.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Well, congrats, guys.
- 5:31Speaker 5: So, yeah, you're obviously longtime best friends, but now potential brothers.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Family.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You're family.
- 5:38Speaker 5: So does it feel any different knowing that this is
- 5:40Speaker 5: a true possibility than any other day, or has it
- 5:42Speaker 5: started to feel a little bit more intense?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Everything feels pretty much the same to me. I think
- 5:46Speaker 4: Woody starts to sweat a little bit more if my
- 5:51Speaker 4: son and his daughter are starting to really kind of
- 5:53Speaker 4: date or something. Oh, boy.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Hopefully that won't happen.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I mean, you can be written into somebody's will a
- 5:58Speaker 2: little bit easier this way now. Well, congrats on the show.
- 6:06Speaker 3: We're excited to see it. It's going to be a
- 6:08Speaker 3: massive hit, I'm sure. So you're re-teaming after almost, what,
- 6:11Speaker 3: 12 years since True Detective?
- 6:13Speaker 4: True Detective, yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 2: So exciting to see you guys on the screen together again.
- 6:17Speaker 2: We're massive fans. We have some history, Matthew. You did
- 6:21Speaker 2: the intro to our show a couple years back. Yeah. Which...
- 6:24Speaker 2: was insane. Thank you for doing that.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Cool. A hundred percent.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Woody, great to get to meet you. Massive fan.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Nice to meet you and vice versa.
- 6:34Speaker 3: So tell us about, excuse me, one sec.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Tell us about the show and, and, and kind of
- 6:42Speaker 2: where you guys are. I'm sorry. One sec guys. Sorry.
- 6:47Speaker 2: He's got something stuck in his throat.
- 6:48Speaker 3: All right.
- 6:48Speaker 2: So what he was saying, he wasn't, he wants to
- 6:50Speaker 2: hear more about the show. I'm curious as well for
- 6:52Speaker 2: you guys. you know, filming this thing, did you involve
- 6:54Speaker 2: your families as well? Were they part of the process?
- 6:57Speaker 4: So the original idea was that we were gonna do
- 6:59Speaker 4: it like a, almost like a docu- Yeah. Comedy.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Not like a reality show, you know, but- We were
- 7:07Speaker 1: gonna do it with our families.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah, use our families.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Love.
- 7:11Speaker 4: And that, you know, I think we made a better
- 7:15Speaker 4: choice once we said, no, you know what, let's base it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Let's get real actors.
- 7:19Speaker 4: You know, when we started doing the show, you know,
- 7:23Speaker 4: even the first couple episodes, we were really kind of
- 7:26Speaker 4: bullish about keeping it as realistic to our relationship as possible.
- 7:30Speaker 4: But what we found out was, no, we need to
- 7:33Speaker 4: fictionalize this a little bit. That wasn't floating. It wasn't
- 7:37Speaker 4: funny enough. It wasn't dramatic enough. The stakes weren't high enough.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Because Woody and I, we battle philosophically on things all
- 7:44Speaker 4: the time.
- 7:45Speaker 3: But.
- 7:46Speaker 4: we always end up kind of hugging it out and going,
- 7:48Speaker 4: I forgive you. And now you got your way. I
- 7:49Speaker 4: got mine. Let's move on. The show needed more stakes.
- 7:52Speaker 4: So we added in the show that I'm running for governor.
- 7:57Speaker 4: And Woody being there might blow that up. You know
- 8:00Speaker 4: what I mean? So we added some stakes that gave
- 8:02Speaker 4: it a little more conflict, which conflict helps the comedy
- 8:05Speaker 4: of it. So it's stereotypes of who we are. A
- 8:10Speaker 4: little bit paradoxical of who we are and who our
- 8:13Speaker 4: families are and what our relationship is.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Fantastic great well obviously you guys are are like brothers
- 8:18Speaker 2: or are brothers is there been ever a time because
- 8:21Speaker 2: we've had this moment as a family where gone a
- 8:24Speaker 2: little breaks where we like you know I've had enough
- 8:26Speaker 2: of you I need I need some time for the
- 8:28Speaker 2: two of you guys you guys have always been longtime
- 8:29Speaker 2: friends has there been a season where that's not that's
- 8:31Speaker 2: why I'm over here and there exactly that's why we
- 8:33Speaker 2: keep yeah I.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Was wondering why that was.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Yeah and he's just on the street it's a big
- 8:39Speaker 5: it's a big uh it's a it definitely helps And.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I'm curious for you guys, has there been a season
- 8:44Speaker 2: like that for you? And how long has that gone?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Because you guys obviously have been longtime friends.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Well, we've been buddies since 98, was it?
- 8:53Speaker 3: Seven?
- 8:54Speaker 4: No, before that, 96. Oh, 96. 96.
- 8:58Speaker 1: We've been buddies since 96. So yeah, 30 years. But
- 9:01Speaker 1: we get plenty of breaks from each other because our
- 9:05Speaker 1: lives are going all these different directions so that when
- 9:08Speaker 1: we do come together, it's still fresh and fun. You
- 9:12Speaker 1: guys should try that. Just get away from each other
- 9:15Speaker 1: for a little period and then come back and I
- 9:19Speaker 1: can tell that this is a serious splinter, though.
- 9:22Speaker 4: With the split screen?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Yeah, the split screen is real. No, he's just in
- 9:27Speaker 2: the big celebratory.
- 9:28Speaker 4: They're actually in the same house.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Kevin's just downstairs. They put me in the corner. Exactly.
- 9:34Speaker 5: No, it's a big celebratory weekend. It's Nick's birthday and
- 9:37Speaker 5: also my wife's big 40th birthday. So we're all actually
- 9:40Speaker 5: in Scottsdale and doing different parties at the same time,
- 9:43Speaker 5: but all together last night.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And then they're all coming over here tomorrow night. It's
- 9:46Speaker 2: going to be great.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Oh, cool. You guys are in Scottsdale?
- 9:49Speaker 2: Scottsdale, yes, sir. Playing golf.
- 9:51Speaker 4: We got a little golf outing? What's happening?
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Golf outing. Yesterday, today, tomorrow. By the way, I'm
- 9:56Speaker 2: so sorry about before.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Who's been golfing with the group?
- 9:57Speaker 2: I got so nervous speaking to you guys. That was...
- 10:00Speaker 2: My heart was racing.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Who's the best golfer of you guys?
- 10:03Speaker 2: The best golfer is probably Nick. Yeah, it's definitely Nick.
- 10:07Speaker 2: What's your handicap, Nick? About a 7.9 right now.
- 10:11Speaker 4: About a 7.9. It's like, how does that one get calculated?
- 10:14Speaker 2: So you're breaking 80. How's your golf game?
- 10:21Speaker 4: Non-existent. As soon as I found tennis, I loved it.
- 10:26Speaker 1: No, I hit a 79 the other day.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Yeah, above par in the front nine. In the front nine, yeah.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I was about to say, on the front nine. I
- 10:38Speaker 4: did go out the other day with my son, this
- 10:41Speaker 4: local public course in Austin. And I hadn't hit Antoine
- 10:46Speaker 4: Club in about a year and a half. And the
- 10:48Speaker 4: first six holes, man, I was stiff. But the back nine,
- 10:52Speaker 4: got it together. Well, we didn't finish, but we got
- 10:56Speaker 4: through 16 and I was one under on the back nine.
- 10:59Speaker 4: So the problem with me in the golf games, I
- 11:01Speaker 4: used to be a four handicap. And if I go
- 11:03Speaker 4: back and play now, I start to have a few
- 11:05Speaker 4: holes where I'm.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Like, ooh, ooh, I still got it.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Yeah, there's that sprinkle of magic, right? I hate this game,
- 11:11Speaker 5: I hate this game, I love this game.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Then if I go, oh, I'm going to start grinding,
- 11:15Speaker 4: I'm on the range and my wife's going, where the
- 11:18Speaker 4: hell are you? Because I'll be gone five hours a day.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Cause that's all I used to do.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It's fully consuming. Our buddy, our buddy, uh, his dad is,
- 11:26Speaker 2: is Dr. Phil. We played with him a couple of
- 11:29Speaker 2: years ago and his son was getting so mad trying
- 11:31Speaker 2: to get this shot. Right. And Dr. Phil looks at him.
- 11:33Speaker 2: He goes, son, you're not that good to be that mad. Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I've told that to a buddy of mine.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I told that to Cole Hauser. We went out and
- 11:44Speaker 4: played and he like snapped a club and I was like, dude,
- 11:46Speaker 4: you're not good enough to get that pissed off.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I like that.
- 11:52Speaker 2: That's a good statement.
- 11:53Speaker 4: You're not that good to be that man.
- 11:55Speaker 5: The hack is my daughter's becoming a pretty good golfer.
- 11:58Speaker 5: And so now all she wants to do is go
- 12:00Speaker 5: out and play. And I'm like, I figured it out.
- 12:02Speaker 5: You just get one of your children to be obsessed.
- 12:05Speaker 5: And then I'm on the range, running the course constantly.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I'm being a great dad, mom.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I'm just spending time with my daughter.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Oh, we're playing golf? Is it okay that I'm enjoying
- 12:15Speaker 4: myself so much?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Do you have to do this?
- 12:17Speaker 4: Do you have to do this when you come home?
- 12:20Speaker 4: Maybe act a little bit like you didn't have as
- 12:22Speaker 4: good of a time.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. It was a little tough out there, you know?
- 12:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Had a lot of calls.
- 12:29Speaker 5: Especially with her, because she's like, she's that teenage, you know,
- 12:32Speaker 5: she's about to be 13, and she's just like, everything's
- 12:34Speaker 5: a big deal, right? And so we're on that new
- 12:37Speaker 5: cusp of having a teenager, and so the fact that
- 12:39Speaker 5: she's like into something and like kind of obsessed, I'm
- 12:43Speaker 5: doubling down. But we're in Scottsdale, and we're all golfing.
- 12:45Speaker 5: She called me last night, and she goes, I'm just
- 12:47Speaker 5: so mad at you and hangs up the phone. Cause
- 12:49Speaker 5: she's not here golfing with, I'm like the fact that
- 12:51Speaker 5: I've gotten to that point makes.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Me so happy. Nice.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Speaking of sports, you know, obviously Matthew, we know you're
- 12:59Speaker 2: a big, a big football fan and I'm curious. Huge
- 13:02Speaker 2: game the other day. Huge game. It's unbelievable. That was,
- 13:06Speaker 2: that was something. Do you guys support similar teams as well?
- 13:10Speaker 2: Like how does the, how does the sibling football of,
- 13:13Speaker 2: I guess, sports.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Oh, I mean, I do.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I got lured into it because of him, but now
- 13:20Speaker 1: I do love the team, and that's my team.
- 13:24Speaker 4: The Longhorns.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Oh, that's great.
- 13:26Speaker 4: You see his move on the sideline? He goes from
- 13:28Speaker 4: this to this.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Oh, shit.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I love the Longhorns.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Oh.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Love it.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Put it on a shirt.
- 13:35Speaker 4: He shocked us into the horn sign. Yeah. And we
- 13:38Speaker 4: play a little tennis together, but he's taking up Padel.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I love Padel. Woody, Woody, we'll play, please.
- 13:45Speaker 4: You play that?
- 13:46Speaker 2: I love Padel. I think it's so fun, right?
- 13:47Speaker 4: It's so fun, yeah.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I mean, I like tennis too, but something about Padel,
- 13:51Speaker 2: if you get a good partner, you're locked in.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's an exciting game, very fast game.
- 13:58Speaker 4: It's not like pickle.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Some people, is it like pickle?
- 14:00Speaker 4: No, not like pickle.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Is pickle just ping pong, but just big? It depends.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It is. Yeah, but it's fun. You're a ping pong
- 14:09Speaker 2: player too? We got to play some pong.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Let us know when.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Please.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Woody's pretty good at pong, too. He's ambidextrous. Like in tennis,
- 14:18Speaker 4: if he's got a backhand, he's not afraid to just
- 14:20Speaker 4: switch the racket to his left hand.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Smart.
- 14:23Speaker 4: And make it a forehand.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Smart play. That's awesome. Well, we got some good time.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Austin's obviously an amazing city. Me and Matthew, you showed
- 14:30Speaker 2: me some local spots when I was down there a
- 14:33Speaker 2: couple years ago. It was a lot of fun. Where
- 14:35Speaker 2: do you call home?
- 14:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I live outside of Austin.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Okay, great.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I live in the drip, I call it.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Dripping Springs.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Well, we're excited to get back to Austin. Do you
- 14:46Speaker 2: have any good recommendations for us now? Any new spots
- 14:49Speaker 2: we've got to check out while we're there?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Yeah, let us.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Know what you want to do. Barbecue.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Where's the best barbecue spot?
- 14:58Speaker 4: That's the thing in Austin is that it's hard to
- 15:01Speaker 4: find bad barbecue. If you're not serving great barbecue, you
- 15:05Speaker 4: lose the lease. I mean, it's kind of a religion
- 15:08Speaker 4: down there. And people go, you know, What about Franklin's?
- 15:12Speaker 4: It's so famous. Is it not that good? No, it's
- 15:14Speaker 4: that good. The brisket is that good. And it got
- 15:17Speaker 4: famous on that for good reason. There's a lot of great,
- 15:21Speaker 4: I mean, you can't go wrong.
- 15:23Speaker 2: At a lot of those places. Good to know. Salt
- 15:26Speaker 2: Lick is pretty great.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Yeah, Salt Lick, a lot of people would say no
- 15:30Speaker 4: to Salt Lick. A lot of barbecue aficionados. I mean, but,
- 15:34Speaker 4: you know, it's a great spot to go.
- 15:36Speaker 2: It's cool. Yeah, exactly. Like, it's fun and, like, it's
- 15:39Speaker 2: a good vibe for sure. All right, so guys, everybody
- 15:41Speaker 2: that we have on the pod, we have them pull
- 15:44Speaker 2: a question from our little eight ball here. If you
- 15:47Speaker 2: guys are willing, we're going to pull it for you.
- 15:48Speaker 2: It has nothing to do with your career. We don't
- 15:49Speaker 2: know what it is. We didn't write it.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Please, pull it.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Let's see what we get. Let's see what we get,
- 15:53Speaker 2: shall we? Okay, we're talking about food. This is perfect.
- 15:59Speaker 2: If you ever had to enter a competitive eating contest,
- 16:01Speaker 2: what food would guarantee your victory?
- 16:06Speaker 4: Competitive eating?
- 16:07Speaker 2: Competitive eating.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Oh, I'd love the watermelon.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It's a gift from God. That's awesome.
- 16:16Speaker 1: One of the great gifts from God. Watermelon or mango.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Definitely a fruit. He'd go that. He'd probably take her. No,
- 16:27Speaker 4: but as far as I've entered and won a couple
- 16:29Speaker 4: of water drinking championships at bars.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Water drinking? Break that down for me.
- 16:36Speaker 4: I'm a pretty good water drinker. I've stopped it up.
- 16:39Speaker 4: With a 44-ounce cup and five gallons there next to
- 16:42Speaker 4: it and sat up and go, let's go. I've won
- 16:45Speaker 4: some money. I won some money in college off of
- 16:47Speaker 4: water drinking.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Drinking water. Drinking water.
- 16:50Speaker 4: See, I never would have thought of this.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He's in a bar, but he's having a water drinking contest.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It's one of the things that makes him original and unique.
- 16:59Speaker 1: He goes to a bar to do a water drinking contest.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Well, I'm also having my tequila, but I'm hydrating.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got to wash down the water with tequila.

- 17:30Speaker 1: Yeah exactly oh library library library Yeah, I mean, if
- 17:35Speaker 1: I'm the only person left, I'm just going to start just.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Figure this out. I'm going to be reading books.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Imagine other people, you know? There you go.
- 17:43Speaker 4: You don't like that idea? No, I'm good with that idea.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Why do you look like you were given the idea?
- 17:47Speaker 4: I got a library. I think I'm going to wake
- 17:48Speaker 4: up and notice how quiet it is. Go down to
- 17:51Speaker 4: the water.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Um.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I'm going to have a good weekend with myself and
- 17:55Speaker 4: the animals that are still alive on my property, and
- 17:58Speaker 4: we're going to have a throwdown. I'm going to sit
- 18:03Speaker 4: there and go, boys and girls, the backyard just got
- 18:05Speaker 4: a lot bigger than we ever thought it would be.
- 18:09Speaker 4: No passport needed. Throw away the ID.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Alright, alright, alright.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Alright, alright, alright.

- 18:34Speaker 4: Look forward to it.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That was unbelievable. It was really cool. I feel like
- 18:39Speaker 2: We could talk to them about literally anything, and they're
- 18:42Speaker 2: so genuine.
- 18:43Speaker 5: And their answers are so interestingly unique. He's like, yeah,
- 18:46Speaker 5: I'm going to go to a library. It's the last
- 18:48Speaker 5: place in the world that I would ever say.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I'd be like Matthew. I'd be naked in my backyard
- 18:54Speaker 2: with a bunch of animals. Throw it down with the animals.
- 18:56Speaker 3: So I was trying to talk, and I literally got
- 18:58Speaker 3: nervous and lost my words. It's never happened to me before. Um,
- 19:02Speaker 3: I had to get up and be like, Oh my God,
- 19:04Speaker 3: like I had to reset. Cause I don't know, just,
- 19:06Speaker 3: it was a moment.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I clocked that. Thank you for backing me up. I just,
- 19:10Speaker 2: I told them you had something stuck in your throat,
- 19:11Speaker 2: but I think of anybody, I think these guys would understand.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I mean, but you handled yourself very well, but also like, wow,
- 19:18Speaker 2: I get it. I get it.
- 19:19Speaker 5: I mean, I was talking, I was like, what am
- 19:21Speaker 5: I saying?
- 19:22Speaker 2: Like, I don't know what, like, yeah. Yeah. It was
- 19:24Speaker 2: a moment.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Well, you handled yourself really well, and you excused yourself,
- 19:28Speaker 5: and that was good. It wasn't like you're trying to
- 19:30Speaker 5: figure it out in the moment. What helped you reset? Honestly,
- 19:33Speaker 5: you guys supported me in that moment.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I wasn't fishing. I was just genuinely wondering. You went
- 19:40Speaker 2: over there for two seconds, and you were like, keep
- 19:41Speaker 2: it rolling, and then you were like, all right, we're good.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I just calmed my breath. I finished your sentence. I
- 19:45Speaker 2: was just like, we'll figure this out. And also, that happens.
- 19:50Speaker 2: right it doesn't matter what or where you are in
- 19:52Speaker 2: your career there's gonna be moments and it could have
- 19:54Speaker 2: been Matthew McConaughey and Woody or it could have just
- 19:56Speaker 2: been a buddy of ours sometimes people get you get
- 20:00Speaker 2: anxious you get a little overcome with like what you
