And what do you order at a cha chaan teng, Luna? Luna: Uhh... milk tea? Or coffee? I always get confused. Lucas: Perfect, that's exactly what we're covering today — ordering drinks. I want coffee. Lucas: Good. And I want milk tea is 我想要奶茶. Luna: 我想要奶茶. I want milk tea. Lucas: Now, do you want it hot or cold? Hot is 熱嘅, cold is 凍嘅. So 'I want hot coffee' is 我想要熱咖啡. Luna: Oh, so you add 熱嘅 or 凍嘅 before the drink? Lucas: Exactly. So 'I want iced milk tea' is 我想要凍奶茶. Luna: 我想要凍奶茶. That sounds good on a hot day. Lucas: And don't forget the magic word: 唔該, which means 'please' or 'thanks' when ordering. So you can say 唔該, 我想要一杯熱咖啡. Luna: 唔該, 我想要一杯熱咖啡. That's polite and clear. Lucas: Let's practice a few. Luna, you're at the counter. What do you say if you want iced milk tea? Luna: Umm... 唔該, 我想要一杯凍奶茶. Lucas: Perfect! You said 一杯 too, which means 'one cup'. That's a nice touch. Luna: Oh, so 一杯 is 'one cup'. Got it. Lucas: Now let's do a quick scene. I'll be the server, you're the customer. Lucas: 你好, 想飲啲咩? Luna: Uh, 唔該, 我想要一杯熱咖啡. Lucas: 好, 熱咖啡一杯. Luna: Yes! That felt real. Lucas: Let's go through the phrases one more time. Repeat after me: 我想要咖啡. Luna: 我想要咖啡. Lucas: 我想要奶茶. Luna: 我想要奶茶. Lucas: 熱嘅. Luna: 熱嘅. Lucas: 凍嘅. Luna: 凍嘅. Lucas: And 唔該. Luna: 唔該. Lucas: Awesome.
