- 5:17In top news, recent global weather patterns, supercharged by record-breaking global temperatures,
- 5:25are causing unusual and extreme rainfall across various regions, from East Africa to southeastern
- 5:31Australia.
- 5:32This has led to devastating floods and infrastructure challenges.
- 5:38As the planet warms, the atmosphere holds more moisture, contributing to more intense
- 5:43and frequent downpours.
- 5:46This shift in climate raises concerns about future infrastructure resilience, economic
- 5:51impact on insurance and agriculture, and the need for global adaptation to a potentially
- 5:57wetter environment.
- 5:59Sounds like it's time to invest in umbrella stocks.
- 6:03In business news, this week the market will focus on several key events, including earnings

- 7:49Let's talk science.
- 7:51Researchers have discovered what might be the deepest blue hole on Earth, the Tom Job
- 7:56Blue Hole, located underwater near the Mexico-Belize border.
- 8:02Previously thought to be the second deepest, recent studies suggest it extends at least
- 8:081,400 feet below sea level.
- 8:10Intriguingly, it could be connected to a vast network of underwater caves, potentially harboring
- 8:16undiscovered marine biodiversity.
- 8:20This blue hole and its unexplored depths highlight the vast unknowns of our planet's oceanic
- 8:25environments.
- 8:26And in entertainment news, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny exceeded its budget by
- 8:36$100 million, according to financial statements from the production company.
- 8:42The film starring Harrison Ford faced significant costs, notably $79 million on post-production
- 8:49alone, to create the aged visuals of Ford.
- 8:54Despite the high expenditure, the movie underperformed at the box office, earning $384 million, which
- 9:02was lower than its predecessors when adjusted for inflation.
- 9:06Consequently, Disney experienced a substantial financial loss, with estimates suggesting
- 9:12a $143 million shortfall.
- 9:15Bummer, I liked the movie.
- 9:19That'll work on that budgeting, though.
- 9:22After all, money doesn't grow on trees.
- 9:25Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the day.
- 9:31And today, our quote comes from one of our favorite Friends characters, Joey Tribbiani.
- 9:36And finally, our biggest item of the night, the 22-foot Gentleman's Day Sailor Sailboat.
- 9:43The winning bid was a whopping $20,000.
- 9:48I won?
- 9:49That was my guess.
- 9:50What, what, what?
- 9:55I guessed $20,000!
- 9:57Joey, it is an auction!
