This Friday, June 3rd at noon, Southport will host its 27th annual naturalization ceremony as part of the NC Fourth of July Festival — a powerful moment when 50 to 60 new Americans take the oath of citizenship on Fort Johnston Garrison Lawn. Chief U.S. District Judge Richard E. Myers II will administer the oath, while the Wilmington Virtuosi Brass kicks things off at 11 AM. Dr. Yousry Sayed, former UNCW professor and founder of a successful chemical lab, delivers the keynote.
