- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey here at one look up alex Media. Firstly, firstly,
- 0:03Speaker 1: I gotta say thanks to Bublik b o O b
- 0:07Speaker 1: l i k q Bagel Bistrove for that beautiful, beautiful,
- 0:13Speaker 1: delicious bagel burger located right across from Zuccatti Park on
- 0:19Speaker 1: Liberty Street. Uh, check them out. Boublik b oo b
- 0:23Speaker 1: l i Q, And I just want to say thank
- 0:25Speaker 1: you again for their beautiful bagel burger. But let's get
- 0:29Speaker 1: to brass tax because I don't of you guys have
- 0:32Speaker 1: been following this, but it was revealed ahead of the
- 0:36Speaker 1: budget release by Mayor mum Donnie here a one of
- 0:40Speaker 1: got alex Media news. The Bezos family donated one hundred
- 0:45Speaker 1: million dollars to help achieve Mayor's or a mum Donnie's,
- 0:49Speaker 1: one of his top campaign promises. In a rare instance
- 0:54Speaker 1: of cooperation between one of Wall Street's favorite charities and
- 0:57Speaker 1: a Democratic socialist mayor. Once at an didn't believe billionaires
- 1:03Speaker 1: should exist. Well, the Bezos family is helping that mayor. Robinhood,
- 1:09Speaker 1: one of New York's most charitable donation organizations and one
- 1:13Speaker 1: of Wall Street's favorites, by the way, announced that it
- 1:16Speaker 1: received one hundred million dollar gifts from the Bezos Family,
- 1:19Speaker 1: the parents of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, establishing the Jackie
- 1:24Speaker 1: Bezos Endowment for Early Childhood, which will prioritize funding for
- 1:29Speaker 1: education and early childhood development, including a pledge of an
- 1:32Speaker 1: additional twenty five million dollars subject to a match, for
- 1:36Speaker 1: a total of one hundred and fifty million dollars. And
- 1:42Speaker 1: this donation would go to a cause that Mamdani has
- 1:44Speaker 1: long advocated for, expanded childhood education. After campaigning on the
- 1:49Speaker 1: issue throughout the Democratic primary and into the general election
- 1:52Speaker 1: this year this past year, the mayor announced last month
- 1:56Speaker 1: that two K programming two through free early care and
- 2:01Speaker 1: education starting at age two would be free and entirely
- 2:05Speaker 1: universal year round. And the interesting part of this is, Wow,
- 2:11Speaker 1: a billionaire supporting a socialist mayor, the family of a
- 2:15Speaker 1: billionaire supporting a socialist mayor. But not so fast. Yesterday
- 2:22Speaker 1: Jeff Bezos said this about New York City's sky high
- 2:27Speaker 1: school spending.
- 2:29Speaker 2: We actually have a spending problem, and that's a skills issue.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I mean, let me give you an example. The New
- 2:36Speaker 2: York City school system. Right they've spent forty four thousand
- 2:42Speaker 2: dollars per student, forty four thousand. That's thirty percent more
- 2:48Speaker 2: per student than other big cities like Chicago, LA and Boston.
- 2:53Speaker 2: And it's three times more than Miami and Houston. And
- 2:58Speaker 2: by the way, New York City doesn't get better outcomes.
- 3:02Speaker 2: So what this listen, Let me let me just say,
- 3:05Speaker 2: if we ran Amazon the way New York City runs
- 3:09Speaker 2: their school system, right, your packages would take six weeks
- 3:12Speaker 2: to arrive, We'd have to charge you one hundred dollars
- 3:14Speaker 2: delivery fee, and then when the package did finally arrive,
- 3:18Speaker 2: it have the wrong item in it anyway.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Right, all right? So this is the same guy whose
- 3:23Speaker 1: family donated one hundred million dollars to this mayor, this
- 3:28Speaker 1: socialist mayor, who told Ken Griffin get the f out
- 3:32Speaker 1: of here, make it make sense. One week, the Bezos
- 3:37Speaker 1: family loves Mom Donnie. They're helping him contributes, giving him
- 3:41Speaker 1: one hundred million dollars. Now this week, Jeff Bezos is saying, hey,
- 3:46Speaker 1: this is a poorly run system. Make up your mind,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and yes, I do think Mom Donnie sort of showing
- 3:54Speaker 1: the door to Ken Griffin and spitting in the face
- 3:57Speaker 1: of a lot more billionaires is totally totally a reason
- 4:01Speaker 1: why Bezos is responding this way. As I've said time
- 4:05Speaker 1: and time again on the radio, don't we want a
- 4:08Speaker 1: mayor who's going to make the billionaires and the millionaires
- 4:15Speaker 1: want to invest in the city. Don't we want their investments.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Don't we want them to stay and be the uh,
- 4:27Speaker 1: the lifeline. I will tell you small businesses support a
- 4:30Speaker 1: lot of the economy, a lot of the nine nine
- 4:32Speaker 1: percent of those small businesses support the economy. But the
- 4:36Speaker 1: billionaires are are sort of the engine that runs it, right.
- 4:41Speaker 1: They backing, they're backing of New York City helps us
- 4:46Speaker 1: keep rolling literally because the MTA and that railroad strike
- 4:51Speaker 1: is over. But I find it fascinating a week after
- 4:56Speaker 1: it comes out that Bezos and by the way, Kathy
- 4:59Speaker 1: Hokel gave us what fort eight billion dollars to make
- 5:02Speaker 1: that budget work in the city. I mean, it's crazy.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Uh this comes out now, he says, the spending here
- 5:15Speaker 1: is ridiculous, and the very school system that Mam Donnie
- 5:20Speaker 1: wants to expand to early education. But I'm breaking this
- 5:26Speaker 1: news to you at one look up alex Media in
- 5:27Speaker 1: case you didn't know that a billionaire's family supported Zoramamdani
- 5:35Speaker 1: and the efforts to do early childhood education. What do
- 5:40Speaker 1: you think about that? Alex at alex greyc dot com.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Alex at alexanyc dot com. A billionaire's family and a
- 5:49Speaker 1: billionaire is supporting the early childhood education system, free education
- 5:56Speaker 1: for kids, tow it up. And I think it's interesting
- 6:02Speaker 1: because remember if Mom Donnie is Deblasio on steroids, remember
- 6:07Speaker 1: what Deblasio did. He basically told Amazon to go f themselves. Also, no,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you're not gonna build a whole empire in Queens. I
- 6:17Speaker 1: had my issues with it as well, not so much
- 6:19Speaker 1: the fact they were gonna put it there, but a heliport. Really,
- 6:22Speaker 1: Jeff Bezos, you want that, you want that, but it
- 6:31Speaker 1: would have been a boon and it would have created
- 6:34Speaker 1: jobs for Queen's residents. But instead Amazon was shoot away
- 6:46Speaker 1: by the aocs of the world, by Deblasio. And now
- 6:50Speaker 1: Mom Donnie who accepts, by the way, a billionaire family's
- 6:56Speaker 1: donation of one hundred million of one hundred million million
- 7:00Speaker 1: dollars or so, but says get the f out at
- 7:04Speaker 1: the same time to billionaires. And when he speaks to
- 7:10Speaker 1: Ken Griffin like that, I'm sorry talking to every billionaire
- 7:12Speaker 1: about that. But hey, you idiots that interrupted the Stock
- 7:19Speaker 1: Exchange a may day a may Day earlier this month.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Wearing clown knows is because your literal clowns, billionaires help
- 7:31Speaker 1: run the city. We lost four hundred and twenty thousand
- 7:38Speaker 1: people during the COVID pandemic to moving out, and I
- 7:44Speaker 1: would think every mayor after Deblasio would work their ass
- 7:48Speaker 1: off to get those people back, not keep pushing them away. No,
- 7:54Speaker 1: You're elected to keep the city going, not turn into
- 7:58Speaker 1: what you wanted to be. I believe the mayor of
- 8:01Speaker 1: New York is elected to keep things going, not try
- 8:06Speaker 1: and reroute it and push people out. That's not the
- 8:11Speaker 1: job of the city's mayor. It's to keep our a
- 8:18Speaker 1: million people here safe every damn day. It's to keep
- 8:23Speaker 1: our synagogues and places of worship protected from evil. It's
- 8:31Speaker 1: to keep our NYPD cops feeling like they have support,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and on the financial end, it's to make sure those
- 8:44Speaker 1: who are investing in the city feel welcome. And even
- 8:48Speaker 1: if I sound like I'm trying to run for mayor
- 8:51Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, gosh, twenty thirty or twenty twenty nine,
- 8:58Speaker 1: maybe because this is what we're seeing from Mom Donnie
- 9:04Speaker 1: is not what should be happening for the city. You
- 9:08Speaker 1: shouldn't be chasing people out of New York. You shouldn't
- 9:11Speaker 1: be basically faking your appreciation for the Jews. That should
- 9:20Speaker 1: be genuine. It's not genuine. And you should be condemning
- 9:28Speaker 1: when these radicals try and take over the blocks outside
- 9:33Speaker 1: of a synagogue to intimidate. You should be condemning that.
- 9:38Speaker 1: When a cop gets shot, you shouldn't be going to
- 9:41Speaker 1: the person who's You shouldn't be going to the suspect's
- 9:44Speaker 1: bed side. You should be going to the cops bed side. Look,
- 9:54Speaker 1: every day, I still feel safe here rolling the streets
- 9:57Speaker 1: in New York personally, but this is a long term
- 10:04Speaker 1: thing we're talking about here. When you and your da
- 10:13Speaker 1: basically say throwing snowballs at cops in the way that
- 10:16Speaker 1: that was done at Washington Square Park is just kids
- 10:20Speaker 1: playing around. And then when you say that your brothers
- 10:27Speaker 1: and sisters with the Jewish people, only to it send
- 10:29Speaker 1: a fake satyr and then do this heritage Jewish heritage
- 10:35Speaker 1: event no one wants to go to. I would think
- 10:40Speaker 1: the tip of the iceberg would be people leaving, people
- 10:45Speaker 1: with money leaving, the billionaires leaving, because if you don't
- 10:51Speaker 1: have their support and they're backing after what we've gone
- 10:57Speaker 1: through the last six years trying to rebuild. Then you're
- 11:02Speaker 1: not doing a good job as mayor. Mayor, Mom, Donnie,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you're not. And when the state has to bail your
- 11:11Speaker 1: ass out while they're trying to deal with an l
- 11:14Speaker 1: R strike in an election year, you're not doing good
- 11:21Speaker 1: for New Yorkers. And when you don't condemn when swastikas
- 11:26Speaker 1: are showing up at the yeshiva schools for Jewish kids,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you're not doing a good job. So yeah, every day
- 11:40Speaker 1: I think about it every day. I kind of don't
- 11:42Speaker 1: comment as much about it. But this this Bezos Mom
- 11:46Speaker 1: Donnie back and forth is kind of interesting to me
- 11:52Speaker 1: because it's the same guy whose family just donated one
- 11:56Speaker 1: hundred million dollars to a socialist and to a g
- 12:00Speaker 1: that's not making billionaires welcome here. And I just think,
- 12:13Speaker 1: what is Jeff Bezos doing, What is his family doing
- 12:17Speaker 1: supporting this mayor who's trying to ruin the billionaire class,
- 12:25Speaker 1: And for mom dying to accept the donation but still
- 12:28Speaker 1: call out the billionaires is bull crap? Is bull crap.
- 12:39Speaker 1: So yeah, I want to see improvement the next three
- 12:42Speaker 1: and a half years. I can't believe we're almost halfway
- 12:44Speaker 1: through his first term, but I want to see improvement
- 12:47Speaker 1: through the next three and a half years. I want
- 12:48Speaker 1: to see him come back down to earth, not just
- 12:51Speaker 1: smile away every issue that comes at his feet and
- 12:56Speaker 1: act like that's gonna charm everybody from forgetting and it
- 13:03Speaker 1: doesn't approve improve I have a platform. I'm building a
- 13:10Speaker 1: platform of what I believe the City of the Mayor,
- 13:13Speaker 1: the City of New York's mayor, should be doing. And
- 13:18Speaker 1: I believe in that platform and I'll stay it one
- 13:21Speaker 1: more time. The number one job of the Mayor of
- 13:26Speaker 1: New York is to keep the city and its people safe,
- 13:31Speaker 1: all eight million. It's to keep us feeling secure. Also
- 13:40Speaker 1: that nothing bad could happen to you because you're Jewish,
- 13:44Speaker 1: because you're this, because you're that, because you're a cop.
- 13:49Speaker 1: City of New York's mayor must always have the back
- 13:52Speaker 1: of the NYPD. You should not be visiting a suspect's bedside,
- 13:59Speaker 1: but the the cops shot bedside, and New York City
- 14:06Speaker 1: should be welcoming not to one group, not to another group,
- 14:10Speaker 1: but to all groups, including the billionaire class and post COVID.
- 14:17Speaker 1: The city's mayor's job should be to make sure nobody
- 14:22Speaker 1: leaves the city and is forced to flee because of
- 14:25Speaker 1: high taxes post COVID. The job of the City of
- 14:33Speaker 1: New York's mayor, whomever that is, is to make sure
- 14:38Speaker 1: we don't lose another undred, four hundred and twenty thousand.
- 14:40Speaker 1: It's to actually bring back people, make people welcome back,
- 14:47Speaker 1: and not push them away. And so far Mamdani's pushing
- 14:54Speaker 1: people and businesses and companies and cultures away. It was
- 15:02Speaker 1: so bad. Nick fans didn't even want him at the
- 15:04Speaker 1: Knicks game on Tuesday night when they made that incredible
- 15:08Speaker 1: comeback down twenty two, then an eighteen to one run.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Now they're tonight game two possible. We'll go up to
- 15:15Speaker 1: oh and look, I'll say this real quick. I know
- 15:20Speaker 1: people would love a clinching scenario in New York Game five,
- 15:25Speaker 1: but I don't want to get there. If you have
- 15:28Speaker 1: a chance to lock up the series in Cleveland up
- 15:31Speaker 1: three to zero, freaking seal the deal. We have the
- 15:36Speaker 1: chance now to just take the momentum entirely after that
- 15:40Speaker 1: epic game on Tuesday night, entirely take the series over.
- 15:49Speaker 1: But it got so bad for Mauley they didn't want
- 15:53Speaker 1: him at the game. They like, we're out out of
- 15:57Speaker 1: the guards, saying, don't come in here, Asa Ramumdani. It
- 15:59Speaker 1: was very funny because they's already done with the Mets.
- 16:02Speaker 1: He goes to City Field, The Mets go on to
- 16:03Speaker 1: twelve game losing streak. We don't need that energy. We
- 16:09Speaker 1: don't need that energy this postseason run for the Knicks
- 16:12Speaker 1: at all. And even the Knicks called him out for
- 16:16Speaker 1: using their logo or something in a campaign. Dad remember that.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So yeah, Mom, Donnie's screwing up on a lot of fronts,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and I don't talk about it enough because I'm so
- 16:28Speaker 1: wrapped up in what's going on with the Iran War,
- 16:31Speaker 1: what's going on with the knixt postseason run, what's going
- 16:36Speaker 1: on in the adaptive world. I just don't have a moment.
- 16:40Speaker 1: But this Bezos back and forth with Mom Donnie gives
- 16:44Speaker 1: me a moment to just unload. Here are one look
- 16:47Speaker 1: up alex Media and say, mayor, Mom Donnie, listen to
- 16:51Speaker 1: the platforms I believe you should be going on if
- 16:55Speaker 1: you want to be a better mayor for all New Yorkers.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I have a platform and I'm considering it for twenty
- 17:06Speaker 1: twenty nine, and that's my message at one leg A
- 17:10Speaker 1: balx Media
