- 1:02Speaker 1: to confirm for you God's great love for us, that
- 1:05Speaker 1: his compassion for us never fails, and that He has
- 1:08Speaker 1: a great faithfulness toward us in every regard. Now, if

- 1:13Speaker 1: to recommend it to a friend, you can hear this
- 1:16Speaker 1: program anytime online at Talknetwork Radio dot com. Well, now
- 1:21Speaker 1: here's Richard with today's reflection.
- 1:24Speaker 2: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each
- 1:28Speaker 2: one for the profit of all. For to one is
- 1:31Speaker 2: given the word of wisdom through the spirit to another,
- 1:34Speaker 2: the word of knowledge through the same spirit to another,
- 1:38Speaker 2: Faith by the same spirit to another, gifts of healings
- 1:42Speaker 2: by the same spirit to another, the working of miracles
- 1:46Speaker 2: to another, prophecy to another, discerning of spirits to another,
- 1:52Speaker 2: different kinds of tongues to another, the interpretation of tongues
- 1:57Speaker 2: but one and the same spirit works all these things,
- 2:01Speaker 2: distributing to each one individually as he wills. First Corinthians
- 2:08Speaker 2: twelve seven through eleven. As we continue our study of
- 2:15Speaker 2: the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit, we have already
- 2:20Speaker 2: reviewed the gift of the Word of Wisdom as well
- 2:25Speaker 2: as the gift of the Word of Knowledge. We've also
- 2:30Speaker 2: reviewed portions of the gift of faith, and we were
- 2:36Speaker 2: blessed to have a special gift that could give us
- 2:41Speaker 2: more personal experiences in the gifts of healings. But we
- 2:48Speaker 2: now have come to yet another aspect of the nine
- 2:55Speaker 2: gifts of the Holy Spirit, and this is one of
- 3:00Speaker 2: those that people have a tremendous amount of issue with.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It is the working of miracles. Now, as we look
- 3:11Speaker 2: at the gift of the working of miracles, we can
- 3:17Speaker 2: find that the Bible is replete with examples constantly of
- 3:24Speaker 2: miraculous works. There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- 3:32Speaker 2: They work in conjunction with each other for the benefit
- 3:37Speaker 2: of all. They are available to every believer at any
- 3:43Speaker 2: time that the Holy Spirit directs. As we surrender to
- 3:48Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit, he will provide manifestations of those gifts
- 3:56Speaker 2: as they are needed in the body. Now, when we
- 4:01Speaker 2: discussed the working of miracles. We can look at Bible
- 4:05Speaker 2: dictionaries that describe what the word of miracles means. One
- 4:11Speaker 2: is an intervention in the natural universe by God, another
- 4:18Speaker 2: is a phenomenon that transcends natural laws. And there's also
- 4:25Speaker 2: a divine act by which God reveals himself to people.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Some of the examples of the actual miracles from the
- 4:34Speaker 2: Bible are such as Jesus and the Apostles healing and
- 4:41Speaker 2: casting demons out of people, and Jesus turning water into
- 4:46Speaker 2: wine at the wedding of Cana, Jesus feeding five thousand
- 4:52Speaker 2: people by multiplying five blows of bread and two fish.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Also in the Old Testament, God parting the Red Sea
- 5:04Speaker 2: for Moses and the children of Israel. Also Daniel not
- 5:10Speaker 2: being eaten by the lions in the Lion's Den. We
- 5:15Speaker 2: also are very much aware of the three Hebrew lads
- 5:21Speaker 2: who were thrown into a fiery furnace. The fire was
- 5:26Speaker 2: so hot that it disintegrated those who put them in
- 5:31Speaker 2: the furnace. And yet the four that were seen, three
- 5:37Speaker 2: that were cast in the furnace bound, and one who
- 5:43Speaker 2: was viewed by King nebuchad Nezar as the son of God.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Had that view been that there were three men cast
- 5:57Speaker 2: into the furnace, but there was a four man seen
- 6:02Speaker 2: by King Nevitenensar. And when he released the three youths,
- 6:09Speaker 2: they came out completely unscorched. There was not even the
- 6:15Speaker 2: smell of fire on them. Certainly another miracle. And then,
- 6:22Speaker 2: of course there's the New Testament miracle of the apostle
- 6:28Speaker 2: Peter getting out of the fishing boat so that he
- 6:34Speaker 2: could approach Jesus who was walking on the water. Now
- 6:39Speaker 2: there was one thing to see Jesus walking on the water,
- 6:43Speaker 2: but yet still another miraculous occurrence to see Peter actually
- 6:51Speaker 2: walking on the water. If you studied the Bible very
- 6:56Speaker 2: carefully from start to finish, it is literally one miracle
- 7:01Speaker 2: after another where God the Father, and Jesus Christ all
- 7:07Speaker 2: perform miraculous works, and God still loves to do those
- 7:14Speaker 2: same miracles through his people today. The Bible says that
- 7:21Speaker 2: God does not change, and if He and Jesus were
- 7:27Speaker 2: constantly doing miracles in both the Old Testament and New
- 7:31Speaker 2: Testament writings, then God will also be wanting to do
- 7:36Speaker 2: miracles in our day and age. And with this specific
- 7:41Speaker 2: gift being listed as one of the nine of the
- 7:45Speaker 2: Holy Spirit. Then you know that God is trying to
- 7:50Speaker 2: tell all of us that He still wants to perform miracles,
- 7:55Speaker 2: even in the jaded and skeptical times that we are
- 8:00Speaker 2: now currently living in. Again, do not be afraid of
- 8:07Speaker 2: this heavy gift from the Lord, and do not quench
- 8:12Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit with any lack of faith or belief
- 8:16Speaker 2: if he ever wants to try and do one for
- 8:20Speaker 2: either you or any other people you may be working with.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Remember the Bible tells us that absolutely nothing is impossible
- 8:33Speaker 2: with God, which will include any divine miracle that he
- 8:40Speaker 2: will want to perform. When we were talking with Pastor
- 8:45Speaker 2: Mikhail Ashiko, as he was relating the gifts of healings
- 8:52Speaker 2: as they were being manifested to help others, one was
- 8:57Speaker 2: a miraculous act that he was not even aware would happen,
- 9:05Speaker 2: but he was encouraged to pray for a young child
- 9:09Speaker 2: who was born without eyes. After four days of repeatedly
- 9:18Speaker 2: praying for this child, little slits in the skin where
- 9:24Speaker 2: the eyes would become evident began to open, and after
- 9:30Speaker 2: continue praying for this same child for another four days,
- 9:37Speaker 2: eyes appeared and the child was able to see without
- 9:45Speaker 2: any problems. What was the result of this miraculous healing.
- 9:52Speaker 2: And certainly it was a miracle to produce eyes within
- 9:59Speaker 2: a child who was born without eyes. And yet what
- 10:05Speaker 2: was the result that we heard The father of this
- 10:10Speaker 2: child came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, but
- 10:16Speaker 2: he also came to know him as a miracle working God.
- 10:23Speaker 2: And so we can see today that the gift of
- 10:28Speaker 2: the working of miracles, in conjunction in many cases with
- 10:34Speaker 2: the gifts of healings, do still take place in the
- 10:40Speaker 2: body of Christ. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are
- 10:46Speaker 2: the same today as they were when they were first
- 10:51Speaker 2: rendered by the Holy Spirit himself. You see, one of
- 10:57Speaker 2: the things that we have come to understand is because
- 11:02Speaker 2: God does not change. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- 11:10Speaker 2: So if he provided miraculous works while he was in
- 11:17Speaker 2: the earth walking as the Messiah, he still provides miraculous
- 11:26Speaker 2: works today.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Richard will be right back in a moment to wrap up.
- 11:31Speaker 1: But if you've just joined us, you've been listening to

- 12:04Speaker 1: K include Great Is Thy Faithfulness by Our Daily Bread
- 12:08Speaker 1: and printed by Discovery House Publishers. Again here is Richard.
- 12:12Speaker 1: To wrap up today's message.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Jesus said, greater works than these shall you do? Because
- 12:23Speaker 2: I go to my Father. And he said this because
- 12:29Speaker 2: he was going to send them the Holy Spirit, who
- 12:34Speaker 2: would lead and guide them into all truth and would
- 12:39Speaker 2: perform works through them that would glorify God. The initial
- 12:48Speaker 2: evidence that God is at work in a miraculous form
- 12:55Speaker 2: is that people will be drawn to Jesus is not
- 13:02Speaker 2: to the miracle he performed. And that is today's reflection
- 13:09Speaker 2: on the Word.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Thank you, Richard. Join us again tomorrow when we continue
- 13:14Speaker 1: with the next edition of Reflections on the Word with
