  Speaker 1: you want? What's stopping you from having the life that

  Speaker 1: you want? I know a lot of people who have

  Speaker 1: given up on achieving the life of their dreams, but

  Speaker 1: I know they'd still want them if they could get

  Speaker 1: to them. But they just allowed to settle for so

  Speaker 1: many reasons. So who I'm talking to is you today?

  Speaker 1: What's really at the core of stopping you? What is that?

  Speaker 1: Is it your friends or your associates. Is it the

  Speaker 1: fear of what you think somebody else will think of

  Speaker 1: you if you decide to change. Is it what I

  Speaker 1: used to call the call of the while? Is it

  Speaker 1: the fact that you keep thinking that the thing that

  Speaker 1: you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments of pleasure

  Speaker 1: that really ain't really good or healthy for you. You don't

  Speaker 1: want to stop doing that because you've got just a
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: little bit more something else you want to do. I

  Speaker 1: call that the call of the while. You know it's

  Speaker 1: just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them lights

  Speaker 1: is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.

  Speaker 1: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.

  Speaker 1: You can't seem to make a decision about the right guy.

  Speaker 1: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What

  Speaker 1: is it that's stopping you from having the life that

  Speaker 1: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,

  Speaker 1: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: that you want to have. It's no good because at

  Speaker 1: the end of to day, here's the real deal. See,

  Speaker 1: God is available, and God is available for all of us,

  Speaker 1: and God has a plan for all of us, and

  Speaker 1: God wants the very best for all of us. That's

  Speaker 1: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna

  Speaker 1: do to get started having that life? First of all,

  Speaker 1: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.

  Speaker 1: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: wide range of reasons and misery. Love company so usually
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: going to church, You're gonna be their friend. They don't
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: really want you to go to church. You know your
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: as a solution to you. You know, your friends don't
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: really really get the fact that if you treat people better,

  Speaker 1: people would treat you better. So what's that? So your

  Speaker 1: friends are a lot of times the reasons, you know,

  Speaker 1: to peer pressure of what and then the thought in
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: your mind of what they gonna think once they find

  Speaker 1: out I don't do what they do anymore. Who cares

  Speaker 1: what they think other than you? I mean, really, you

  Speaker 1: can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you from
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: having the best life you wanted to have. If I

  Speaker 1: went by that theory right there, I wouldn't I wouldn't
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: even be on this mic this morning. I would have

  Speaker 1: never become a stand up I would had I listened

  Speaker 1: to the people around me who clearly told me when

  Speaker 1: I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you

  Speaker 1: quit your job? You got a family. Boy, don't you

  Speaker 1: do this? You ain't got no bit that ain't no
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here? Go
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: to I heard all of that. I didn't let that

  Speaker 1: stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: to stop you from pursuing your relationship with God so
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: you can have the best life you could possibly have?
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: You gang bang because they've convinced you that this is
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: the family situation and love that you don't have, and
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: they've convinced you that this is your only way, your
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: only source of getting over. And then you drum up
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: these ignorant reasons mans for staying with it. But they
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: sound so good when you listening to everybody else you're
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: surrounded by telling you why we gang banging? Why we
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: holding this block down? Why we slanging this thing here
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: right here? Why we letting it go like this here?
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: You keep listening to them when all in your heart
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: of hearts you know this's ain't right, You already know,
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: but you allow that form of the call of the
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: wile that wanting to be accepted by a group of
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: people who trying to get you to accept the way
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: so you can further. They progress to even prove that
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: you're worthy to be around them, You got to commit
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: some type of crime to even prove that you're worthy
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: to be around them. Then when you get busted on
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: the crime, what happens to that where your family are
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: Now they don't come down there to see you because
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: guess what, they can't turn in They idea to desk
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: at a law enforcement center. So now your homies can't
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: come visit you. And then you know your family back
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: out here, they ain't taking care of your family because
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: it's all about them. Then you learn that what is
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: it that's stopping you from having the life that you
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: always wanted to have? What is it? Why are you

  Speaker 1: a repeat offender? Why do you keep checking yourself back
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: into that institution? Why? Man, why won't you get it together?

  Speaker 1: Why won't you give God a try? Why won't you
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: disassociate yourself? Why would you continue to be a part
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: of a revolving door system and becoming a farm system
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: for these institutions that ain't got nothing for you? But
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: you keep going back in there. And then every time
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: you go in there, and then your little hoies or

  Speaker 1: your gang bangy, little little silly little friends try to
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: make you think that's a badge of honor. There ain't
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: no badge of honor. Man, that's one mold. What's one
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: more scratch on that record, that's one mode. That's one
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: more nail in that coffin. That's one step closer to
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: that third strike where you ain't gonna ever get out.

  Speaker 1: It's one step closer to that graveyard. You keep on.

  Speaker 1: Why would you not give God a try? Why would
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: you not go and see what your life could really be?

  Speaker 1: What is it that's stopping you? Because see, I got

  Speaker 1: news for you. That's nothing like waking up free. I

  Speaker 1: don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking up
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: with the joy in your heart. Now, if you ain't

  Speaker 1: gonna be free, get the joy in your heart, the
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life.

  Speaker 1: Help somebody behind them balls, get in the program. Show

  Speaker 1: these young cats when they come in a better way.

  Speaker 1: But don't you dash sit there, man and just ride
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: it out, and man, just go and get the fullest

  Speaker 1: life that you can have. What you know what it

  Speaker 1: feels like to wake up and be on your way

  Speaker 1: somewhere knowing that you have something to accomplish that you

  Speaker 1: can change somebody that you can stop somebody from going

  Speaker 1: down the roads you went down. It's a whole lot

  Speaker 1: of ways to make your life better, But why would
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: you not go and have the best life you can have?

  Speaker 1: What is it that's stopping you? Really? Really? So, you

  Speaker 1: think that Satan really has your best interest at heart,

  Speaker 1: That the other thing your mama kept telling you about
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: praying you wasn't listening was you. But you know, it
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: ain't ever too late to get back to that. It
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: ain't ever too late to turn around, it ain't ever
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: too late to get your life together, it ain't ever
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: too late to seek God, and it ain't ever too
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: late to pray. Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed

  Speaker 1: to pray, and don't be too proud to pray, because
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: prayer changes things. Prayer change people too. I'm a witness
