- 0:00Speaker 1: The LSU president has put out a pretty important statement
- 0:03Speaker 1: about all that court stuff going on, but I refuse
- 0:08Speaker 1: to start a Friday show in the courts. We're going
- 0:11Speaker 1: to start it on the fields and what we saw yesterday. One, two,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and I'll go two and a half impressive outings and
- 0:21Speaker 1: one great coaching debut except for one bad. Bad mistake
- 0:26Speaker 1: that we didn't learn anything from fourth and 31. All
- 0:29Speaker 1: that coming up in the show. Jim Dunaway, Lance Taylor,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Ryan Brown, Behind the Glass, the guys you all love
- 0:36Speaker 1: more than you love us, Brooks, Forrester, and Tyler. They
- 0:40Speaker 1: put this show together. We're here for a couple hours.
- 0:43Speaker 1: It's the next round presented by Hard Rock Bets on
- 0:46Speaker 1: sport and state. On the field last night. Listen to me.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It was an entertaining game. I don't think it was
- 0:55Speaker 1: a well-played game. It was an entertaining game. Colorado beating
- 0:58Speaker 1: Georgia Tech. I'm going to say this, Lance. Agree or disagree?
- 1:03Speaker 1: This was the best coached Colorado team Deion has had
- 1:07Speaker 1: since his time in Boulder. Agree or disagree? Kind of agree.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I mean, Sean Lewis was really good.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But what we saw last night with Chris Marv defensively,
- 1:18Speaker 2: they got gashed 320 yards last year.
- 1:21Speaker 1: George Tech couldn't run the football.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Now, a lot of that was on the flip side,
- 1:25Speaker 2: terrible coaching from Georgia Tech. George Gotsby takes over for
- 1:30Speaker 2: Buster Faulkner. Alberto Mendoza is an athletic guy. He didn't
- 1:34Speaker 2: have one design quarterback run last night.
- 1:36Speaker 1: But I thought. Colorado looked more physical on defense than
- 1:41Speaker 1: I remember them looking under Deion. They looked more physical
- 1:43Speaker 1: on offense. They ran the ball well. And no offense
- 1:48Speaker 1: to Matt Berry, who was on the play-by-play. I'm going
- 1:53Speaker 1: to have to go volume down on that guy. He's
- 1:55Speaker 1: trying hard. I'm a fan, but I was like, listen,
- 1:58Speaker 1: if Matt Berry can point out to Chase, Chase, they're
- 2:01Speaker 1: not covering up the center. They keep running right over
- 2:03Speaker 1: the center. Matt Berry, who's wonderful at golf, And then
- 2:07Speaker 1: new analyst.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Chase Daniels can set up the press box and say, well,
- 2:13Speaker 3: you know, Georgia Tech's defense is never covering up the center,
- 2:16Speaker 3: and Colorado keeps running it right over the center and.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Picking up two, four, five, seven yards. I think if
- 2:21Speaker 1: Matt Berry can pick it up, the Georgia Tech defense
- 2:24Speaker 1: should pick that up. I agree completely, and I don't
- 2:26Speaker 1: want to jump too far ahead because there's a lot
- 2:28Speaker 1: in that game to talk about. But in that final drive...
- 2:32Speaker 1: Colorado's got a run play called, and Georgia Tech calls
- 2:35Speaker 1: timeout right before the snap. You guys remember that? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I mean, they go ahead and hand it off. Like,
- 2:40Speaker 1: they're running right there. So at some point, doesn't Georgia
- 2:43Speaker 1: Tech have to say, hey, guys, they're not just going
- 2:45Speaker 1: to throw every down. They see that we've got an
- 2:47Speaker 1: opening here. They're going to run. And sure enough, I
- 2:49Speaker 1: think it was two plays later. Third and 12. They
- 2:52Speaker 1: popped that run, which was the key play of that
- 2:54Speaker 1: whole drive was that run. They don't score the touchdown
- 2:58Speaker 1: without that third and 12 run. I don't think they
- 2:59Speaker 1: win the game at all without that third and 12 run.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And it was because Georgia Tech never adjusted to it.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and I thought Brennan Marion back to the coaching
- 3:05Speaker 2: did a really good job, especially on that last drive.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I mean, you're dealing with– Their ability to run the football,
- 3:10Speaker 2: keep running the football, you've got to have some balance.
- 3:12Speaker 2: 49 runs last night, 27 passes. But I don't know
- 3:16Speaker 2: if trash heap Bryce Young is.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Going to be the answer. I mean, if you're going
- 3:19Speaker 1: to call an offense the go-go offense, you need more
- 3:21Speaker 1: than 14 points. We can't call it go-go offense without
- 3:24Speaker 1: 14 points. You can't if you've got a chain. Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I guess so. If you've got a go-go chain. Juju
- 3:29Speaker 1: Lewis was horrific. Until the final drive. Until the final drive.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Until the final drive, he was fantastic. But the rest
- 3:35Speaker 1: of that game, he was awful.
- 3:36Speaker 2: And I don't know if, like, that first pass, I
- 3:38Speaker 2: was like, oh, my God, because I had Colorado plus
- 3:42Speaker 2: the points, how he basically just.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Teardropped it over the finger. Oh, on the screen? Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 1: That was amazing. The first one to get it going.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So I don't know, like, It seems like in retrospect
- 3:51Speaker 2: or in the moment it was a great, great touch play,
- 3:53Speaker 2: which it ended up being.
- 3:55Speaker 1: But I don't know if it was luck or not.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And then the one to the tight end for the touchdown.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That was a good pass. I mean, the fingertips. It was.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It was between two defenders. That's right.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So he had those moments late. But, man, their ability
- 4:04Speaker 2: to run the football last night was very impressive. The
- 4:06Speaker 2: script flipped from one year ago in Boulder.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Let me just– I've got two thoughts here. First of all,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I want to say the reason I think it's the
- 4:12Speaker 1: best coaching job by Deion because it was more muscle
- 4:16Speaker 1: than flash. I agree. They were the more– Physical team.
- 4:19Speaker 1: What do you call Brent Key? The redneck gangster. The
- 4:22Speaker 1: redneck gangster.
- 4:23Speaker 2: He looks like a guy that doesn't mind. He's got
- 4:26Speaker 2: holes in his socks. Like if I put a pair
- 4:28Speaker 2: of socks on and there's a hole in it, they're
- 4:30Speaker 2: in the garbage.
- 4:31Speaker 1: He's one of those guys. He rolls with the holes
- 4:32Speaker 1: in the socks. And I love me some Brent Key.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He named his daughter Harper. My daughter's named Harper. That's
- 4:37Speaker 1: why you love him? Well, he was at Tuscaloosa. We
- 4:40Speaker 1: had some great conversations. I love the guy. His reputation
- 4:44Speaker 1: is what? Offensive line, man. Physical. Physical. Offensive line, physical.
- 4:49Speaker 1: The most physical team on that field last night was Colorado. No,
- 4:53Speaker 1: there's no doubt. And that's not what you expect. Colorado
- 4:56Speaker 1: ran the ball. How many times?
- 4:58Speaker 2: 49 times? 49 times, 183 yards, only 3.7. You know,
- 5:02Speaker 2: you obviously factor in the quarterback loss on that.
- 5:06Speaker 1: But I was just blown away because, you know, Justice
- 5:08Speaker 1: Haynes was average.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Holesley didn't do anything. But Haynes got 100 yards, didn't he?
- 5:13Speaker 2: Uh no 64 yards oh okay i thought he got
- 5:17Speaker 2: to 100 1964 3.4 very alabama-like so that was the
- 5:20Speaker 2: former alabama.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Product very very alabama what people want to hear richard
- 5:24Speaker 1: young dealing with an injury didn't get as many carries
- 5:26Speaker 1: as i thought i kept waiting on him i thought
- 5:29Speaker 1: you you completely land mine i got to play to
- 5:31Speaker 1: a minute to go in the third yeah i was
- 5:33Speaker 1: like is he still on the team did you miss
- 5:35Speaker 1: him Well, I had to check the scouting report. Did
- 5:38Speaker 1: I say the wrong team? And I saw he was
- 5:41Speaker 1: deemed up a little. He's fifth on the depth chart, though. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: but he gets carries, man. They got a running back
- 5:45Speaker 1: core there. So my other thought, other than the well-coached
- 5:51Speaker 1: aspect of Colorado, was I pictured Tua Tungvaloa watching that
- 5:55Speaker 1: game last night. smoking a cigar picked up how many
- 5:58Speaker 1: passes were not thrown downfield last night until the end
- 6:01Speaker 1: until they had to all of them i mean that
- 6:04Speaker 1: was the most line of scrimmage play uh of passing
- 6:07Speaker 1: attack i've seen in neither side would take a chance
- 6:10Speaker 1: and throw it downfield anytime juju lewis tried to throw
- 6:13Speaker 1: it over 20 yards it was off so bad i
- 6:15Speaker 1: don't think they could keep calling the place i mean
- 6:17Speaker 1: he was So awful. Scared to death.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I thought the way that I would lose this game
- 6:22Speaker 2: was going to be a pick six.
- 6:23Speaker 1: A pick six. With Juju Lewis. It was on the edge.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Or a fumbled high snap over however tall Juju is. Yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 1: they couldn't snap it all night.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I could not believe, though, George Godsey, the difference in
- 6:34Speaker 2: play calling from year to year. And this ultimately goes
- 6:36Speaker 2: back to Brent Key. How you don't even give Alberta
- 6:40Speaker 2: Mendoza opportunities to carry the.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Football is to kind of spread it out a little bit.
- 6:45Speaker 1: That blew me away. And then the final possession.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I don't know what you guys thought. I thought for
- 6:49Speaker 2: sure on that final third down, Burr's in field goal range.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Don't just throw a little screen pass.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Let's attack. Let's go for it. 45 yards. I know
- 6:57Speaker 1: this kid's supposedly a good kicker, though. He had missed
- 6:59Speaker 1: a much shorter kick in the first quarter. That's right.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I mean, in college, settling for a 45, in the pros,
- 7:06Speaker 1: you settle for a 45-yarder all the time. Those guys
- 7:09Speaker 1: are going to make 99.9% of those. But ask Ryan
- 7:12Speaker 1: Day about having a good drive going. That's right. And
- 7:14Speaker 1: then hit the brakes.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I don't know what you guys thought. Like, it's an
- 7:18Speaker 2: incomplete on Alberto Mendoza. I saw him in eight games
- 7:20Speaker 2: last year. It was all mop-up duty. But some of
- 7:22Speaker 2: the passes he threw, and especially the one that I
- 7:24Speaker 2: thought for a second he was breaking it to the
- 7:26Speaker 2: outside when he got flipped up, which was kind of
- 7:28Speaker 2: a weird ending to that play. I thought that they
- 7:30Speaker 2: might have scored on that play, but that was a
- 7:32Speaker 2: beautiful throw. He was 17-23. I can't get a gauge
- 7:36Speaker 2: if he's going to be really good or not. Give
- 7:39Speaker 2: him opportunities.
- 7:40Speaker 1: My feeling is that neither one of these teams are
- 7:42Speaker 1: that good. I agree completely. I think Georgia Tech's a
- 7:44Speaker 1: three-win team. Georgia Tech's in trouble. They are in trouble.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And I think Brent Key, at this point, next year
- 7:49Speaker 2: going into the season, people are going to be like,
- 7:50Speaker 2: the nine-win season was nice, but boy, this is.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Well, Zach in the chat says of Mendoza, King didn't
- 7:56Speaker 1: mind running the option the last two years. Little Fernando
- 7:59Speaker 1: isn't going to run, so Georgia Tech will struggle.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I mean, it looked like that last night. Not just
- 8:03Speaker 1: the option. He didn't run, though. Yeah. He would run
- 8:06Speaker 1: physically between the hash marks. Oh, it's a drop off.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Haynes King did not mind taking contact. Yeah. I just
- 8:13Speaker 1: wonder if they don't call the runs because they know
- 8:15Speaker 1: he's not a willing runner with contact. I don't know
- 8:17Speaker 1: about that. I don't know. I mean, let's at least
- 8:20Speaker 1: see it. Haynes King was physical. No doubt. I mean,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I think Georgia Tech's got problems all over the board.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I think really quarterbacks probably– again, they've got a downgrade
- 8:29Speaker 2: from Haynes King now on the Carolina Panthers roster to
- 8:31Speaker 2: what you get with Mendoza, at least a raw Mendoza.
- 8:35Speaker 2: But there are problems all over it. I mean, if
- 8:37Speaker 2: Colorado was able to run it like that with three–
- 8:41Speaker 2: And then four, then five different back straight at them.
- 8:44Speaker 1: What is the rest of the ACC going to be
- 8:46Speaker 1: able to do? Yeah, with an offensive line that was
- 8:49Speaker 1: pieced together. Remember, they lost their big five-star guy to LSU.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And they pieced that whole offensive line together with a
- 8:56Speaker 1: new play caller and everything. And they go into Atlanta
- 8:59Speaker 1: and get the win on the big block at the end.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And I'm right about this. Who blocked the kick? It
- 9:04Speaker 1: was Boo Carter, right? Boo Carter, yeah. The guy at
- 9:07Speaker 1: Tennessee that was supposed to be the Tennessee star. that
- 9:10Speaker 1: ended up ending up at Colorado. He was supposed to
- 9:13Speaker 1: be the big guy there. So former stars in the
- 9:15Speaker 1: SEC all over the place and that masterpiece of a,
- 9:18Speaker 1: 14-13 win last night in Atlanta. We're so starving for football.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I'm sure, like you guys, I watched every minute of
- 9:26Speaker 2: that game last night.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And it was only good until the very end.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And it's so funny because every highlight you see, hey,
- 9:33Speaker 2: we're going to pick it up with two minutes left.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That was the only good part. I mean, the last
- 9:36Speaker 1: two minutes, though, was just spectacular. Hard Rock Bets brings
- 9:40Speaker 1: you this show and brings you the sound from Deion
- 9:43Speaker 1: Sanders here in a second. We love the partnership with
- 9:46Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bets. And you may know the Hard Rock

- 9:56Speaker 1: all over the world. Well, the Hard Rock Bet Sports app,

- 10:54Speaker 1: hardrock.bet backslash clay, hardrock.bet backslash clay. Here's Deion Sanders after
- 11:01Speaker 1: starting the year 1-0 on the road. God, we rushed
- 11:05Speaker 1: for a buck, 83. My God.
- 11:06Speaker 4: They rushed for 51. I thought we were small. Great game. Great,
- 11:19Speaker 4: very entertaining game tonight. I'm pretty sure ESPN was happy
- 11:25Speaker 4: with the game and the way it played out. I
- 11:28Speaker 4: never flinched, man. I told several people on the sideline,
- 11:31Speaker 4: we're going to make it very, very interesting, but we're
- 11:34Speaker 4: going to win this game. That's just the faith I
- 11:36Speaker 4: have in these young men and the coaching staff. We
- 11:41Speaker 4: beat a really, really good team and a really, really
- 11:43Speaker 4: good coaching staff. But our guys were resilient. I'm proud
- 11:47Speaker 4: of them. I'm truly happy for them. I'm thankful for
- 11:51Speaker 4: our fan base. I'm thankful for just taking the first
- 11:55Speaker 4: sellout they had in how long? Yeah. It's so funny
- 12:00Speaker 4: that you all get silent when I start talking about
- 12:02Speaker 4: stuff like this, but you all ain't silent when other
- 12:04Speaker 4: things are. Since when? 06. 06. I think we had
- 12:06Speaker 4: a little something to do with that.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I don't think that's factually correct. I think it was
- 12:13Speaker 1: their third consecutive sellout. Oh, I don't know. But I
- 12:15Speaker 1: do think that he probably brought people out. But that
- 12:18Speaker 1: whole act is exhausting. I mean, it's just so hard
- 12:21Speaker 1: to sit here and talk about what a well-coached team
- 12:23Speaker 1: they are, and they were, and how hard they played,
- 12:25Speaker 1: and they did. But you can't just go and talk
- 12:28Speaker 1: about the game. It's always got to be about nobody
- 12:30Speaker 1: believed in us. Nobody ever wants to talk about the
- 12:32Speaker 1: good things. You only talk about, I thought we were small.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I mean, just get past that act, Deion. It's such
- 12:36Speaker 1: an old, tired act.
- 12:38Speaker 2: He is the much more hip Dabo Swing.
- 12:41Speaker 1: We did say they were small when we saw them
- 12:44Speaker 1: in helmets the first practice. We were like, man, we
- 12:48Speaker 1: did it on the show. We were like, look at
- 12:50Speaker 1: that team out in Colorado. Deion's got a bunch of.
- 12:53Speaker 1: fraternity guys it's an old tired act nobody ever believes
- 12:55Speaker 1: in them nobody ever talks good about them there was
- 12:58Speaker 1: a loud cheer good publicity when they blocked the kick
- 13:00Speaker 1: there were a lot of Colorado and or Atlanta Falcon
- 13:02Speaker 1: Deion Sander fans in the sands yeah you're still 17
- 13:05Speaker 1: and 21 as a coach you were one in eight
- 13:07Speaker 1: in conference last year let's let's you know let's build
- 13:10Speaker 1: on this let's don't act like you are Georgia or
- 13:13Speaker 1: Ohio State or Alabama or whoever that's just an old
- 13:16Speaker 1: tired act of Deion I'm tired of that act Just
- 13:19Speaker 1: go coach the damn game, man. You coached one of
- 13:22Speaker 1: the best games you've coached. I thought he did a
- 13:23Speaker 1: brilliant job managing the clock at the end. He did,
- 13:25Speaker 1: but then you've got to do this stuff. Like, oh,
- 13:27Speaker 1: thought we were small and all that. I mean, it's
- 13:29Speaker 1: just such a tired act. I'm so over it. If
- 13:33Speaker 1: The Rock goes out and wins WrestleMania, he doesn't do
- 13:36Speaker 1: a vanilla interview afterwards. Thank God they'll go back into
- 13:38Speaker 1: obscurity and I don't have to watch them the rest
- 13:40Speaker 1: of the year. I mean, the crazy– I don't know
- 13:42Speaker 1: how they won this game. I don't. Danny Scudero did nothing.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Probably maybe– Their second or third highest paid guy on
- 13:49Speaker 2: this roster.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I mean, the leading receiver in college football. He caught
- 13:52Speaker 1: that one high snap. That was crazy. That was his
- 13:55Speaker 1: best grab of the night.
- 13:57Speaker 2: He did nothing. I just, I mean, Colorado, I don't
- 14:01Speaker 2: know if they've got any talent or not. That Lamont
- 14:03Speaker 2: Lester kid who had the three sacks. They pointed out
- 14:06Speaker 2: on the broadcast, he looks like a linebacker. He might
- 14:08Speaker 2: be 5'11, you know, coming off the edge like that.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think Colorado is going to be
- 14:13Speaker 2: very good, but who knows in a wide-open Big 12,
- 14:16Speaker 2: the ability to run the football, if they can do
- 14:18Speaker 2: that on the road.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I thought the– to your point, though– The Big 12
- 14:21Speaker 1: is not that wide open. They– well, I mean– They're
- 14:24Speaker 1: not Colorado wide open is my point. Yeah, well, I mean,
- 14:27Speaker 1: it's Utah. It's BYU. It's Texas Tech. It's Houston. We'll
- 14:30Speaker 1: need some playing pressure. But I'm saying wide open five
- 14:32Speaker 1: or six teams. You don't go far enough to see
- 14:34Speaker 1: either one of those teams we saw last night.
- 14:36Speaker 2: But if they were to win six games, like, that
- 14:38Speaker 2: would be pretty impressive. I mean, Colorado does not have
- 14:40Speaker 2: the resources to some of these other teams. But Iowa State, Kansas,
- 14:43Speaker 2: you know, I mean, they've got games that they can
- 14:45Speaker 2: win out there now.
- 14:46Speaker 1: And I just thought that is an awful loss for
- 14:48Speaker 1: Brent Key.
- 14:49Speaker 2: It is going to be a long, long season. I
- 14:51Speaker 2: don't think he's going to do himself good. any favors
- 14:54Speaker 2: by the way he pouts on the sideline. But I
- 14:57Speaker 2: give Deion a lot of credit because as much ego
- 14:59Speaker 2: as he's got, and I know Brown hates it, for
- 15:01Speaker 2: him to go out and it really should have been about,
- 15:04Speaker 2: and maybe he did in another soundbite, Brennan Marion, Chris Marv,
- 15:08Speaker 2: the coaches, what they did defensively and offensively.
- 15:11Speaker 1: And that's why I say this was the best Deion
- 15:13Speaker 1: coach team. The two coordinators were brilliant last night. Considering
- 15:18Speaker 1: the ingredients they were putting, what's that show? What's that show?
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't watch it, but I see the promo story
- 15:25Speaker 1: where it starts up top, and you got all the
- 15:28Speaker 1: good ingredients, and then it goes down a level, and
- 15:30Speaker 1: that team on the middle has to pick the ingredients
- 15:33Speaker 1: that's left, and then there's a team on the bottom.
- 15:34Speaker 1: You're cooking with radishes at the bottom? Yeah, you're just
- 15:37Speaker 1: cooking with what's left. That's, to me, what's left for Colorado.
- 15:40Speaker 1: They're that cooking show. Find it out, Tyler. There's a
- 15:42Speaker 1: cooking show. Well, Brett and Marion, who left Sacramento State
- 15:46Speaker 1: as their head coach to become the offensive coordinator here.
- 15:49Speaker 1: The go-go offense. They put up 14 points. He looks
- 15:52Speaker 1: the part, though, of a head coach.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I mean, they're going to have to obviously do more
- 15:55Speaker 2: than they did last night offensively. But I did think
- 15:58Speaker 2: the last drive, whether it was luck or not, was brilliant.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I did, too. The play calling was awesome. And
- 16:03Speaker 1: everybody loves to say, well, now you just got to
- 16:05Speaker 1: get him in the no-huddle. You can't do that. It's
- 16:08Speaker 1: not the way it works. Everybody's like, look at Juju Lewis.
- 16:09Speaker 1: He's in the no-huddle. That's what he needs to be
- 16:11Speaker 1: in all the time. Well, you get different defenses. There's
- 16:13Speaker 1: different situations. You can't just do that all the time.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I got to text Prince. What a throw by Prince
- 16:18Speaker 1: on that final drive. Is it next level chef? Next
- 16:21Speaker 1: level chef. I don't know. I've never watched it, but
- 16:23Speaker 1: I've seen the promos. Like if you've done something, you're
- 16:26Speaker 1: in the lead. You're on the top shelf. So all
- 16:29Speaker 1: the ingredients are there for you. that's Ohio State, that's Georgia,
- 16:33Speaker 1: that's Texas. And then it goes down to the next
- 16:36Speaker 1: level and that's where whoever else is next. And then
- 16:38Speaker 1: I picture Colorado's left and they're like, oh, we've got
- 16:41Speaker 1: octopus and we've got lemons and we've got onions. Let's
- 16:44Speaker 1: make something. I feel like those two coordinators could say,
- 16:46Speaker 1: all right, we're going to make something out of lemon, octopus,
- 16:51Speaker 1: and onions. There's a foreign film. I think it might
- 16:53Speaker 1: be Brazilian. It's called The Platform. I've never seen it.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm talking about? It's a sci-fi,
- 16:58Speaker 2: but it's the same thing. So like, The top level,
- 17:01Speaker 2: it goes by class system. Those people are eating great.
- 17:04Speaker 2: By the bottom, I think it's like insects. That was Snowpiercer. No,
- 17:09Speaker 2: I know that, but I'm saying there's another. Snowpiercer was
- 17:11Speaker 2: the drink. But the same kind of food thing.
- 17:14Speaker 1: It's on Netflix. I do think Colorado's got a chance
- 17:19Speaker 1: to get off to a pretty good start. I just
- 17:21Speaker 1: think when they get the Big 12 play, I mean,
- 17:23Speaker 1: Weber State next. When? At Northwestern. You say Weber, I
- 17:26Speaker 1: say Weber. Weber, Weber, Weber, Weber, Weber, Weber. uh at
- 17:30Speaker 1: northwestern i mean i haven't seen northwestern yet but that's
- 17:32Speaker 1: an eminently winnable game obviously oh yeah and then it'll
- 17:36Speaker 1: look a lot like last night i think and then
- 17:38Speaker 1: at baylor i mean we'll see baylor saturday let's see
- 17:40Speaker 1: if they're any better against auburn but certainly a winnable
- 17:42Speaker 1: game i would say but once you get past that
- 17:45Speaker 1: it's going to start to get tricky.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Tech with their one big offensive touchdown now gets tennessee yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Tech's the one that's i'm really worried about i'm with
- 17:52Speaker 1: lance they didn't have an offensive touchdown right I thought
- 17:55Speaker 1: they had won. No, they had the kick return. Oh, yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 1: they had the kick return. They returned in two field goals.
- 17:59Speaker 1: A hundred-yard kick return. You're right. Zero touchdowns last night
- 18:02Speaker 1: against Colorado. Yeah, right after Colorado had driven it down
- 18:04Speaker 1: their throat. Yep. They returned that kick, and that was it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I thought to myself, that's a horrible way to lose
- 18:09Speaker 1: the game. I didn't get to see a Brent Key
- 18:12Speaker 1: soundbite after the game. Do we have anything from him?
- 18:14Speaker 1: We do not. He was despondent, Lance. But he did.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I'm not saying he didn't do media. He did media.
- 18:20Speaker 1: We just chose not to show it. Real quickly, we'll
- 18:22Speaker 1: get into the court case coming up. More football with
- 18:24Speaker 1: Furman to start our number two. I did want to
- 18:27Speaker 1: get to the Big Ten last night, the dominant conference.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I mean, I've heard it all summer. Anybody else hear that?
- 18:36Speaker 1: I mean, Big Ten's won three straight. I get so tired.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I haven't heard dominant. I've heard they are the alpha
- 18:42Speaker 1: of college football. I get so tired of, you know,
- 18:45Speaker 1: the SEC talking depth. You know, the Big Ten is
- 18:48Speaker 1: just as deep. I mean, if you're talking to bottom feeders,
- 18:51Speaker 1: bottom feeders are bottom feeders. First off, horrible coaching by UAB.
- 18:56Speaker 1: UAB is much better coached, as I watched that game,
- 19:00Speaker 1: than they were under Trent Dilfer. That was a competitive game,
- 19:04Speaker 1: UAB and Illinois and Champaign. But when it's 14-13 and
- 19:09Speaker 1: you're out playing Illinois and there's seconds left and you
- 19:13Speaker 1: rush one guy on a Hail Mary– I know the
- 19:17Speaker 1: numbers may sound like, okay, we've got 10 guys back
- 19:20Speaker 1: in the end zone. Don't give them time to throw
- 19:24Speaker 1: that much. We saw that in the Gravedigger, in the
- 19:27Speaker 1: Iron Bowl. Different circumstances. But they rush one guy, one guy,
- 19:31Speaker 1: so there's no pressure there. And the guy tries to
- 19:36Speaker 1: catch it. How many times do you hear, bat it away,
- 19:38Speaker 1: bat it down, bat it away? But by allowing only
- 19:41Speaker 1: rushing one— you're able to get an umbrella set up
- 19:45Speaker 1: to where if I'm batting it now, I could be
- 19:46Speaker 1: batting it to an Illinois guy.
- 19:48Speaker 2: And the bigger problem was... Caden Houser, the momentum he
- 19:52Speaker 2: was able to get moving forward to actually be able
- 19:54Speaker 2: to get the ball in the end zone.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I agree. I mean, it was bad coaching. That was
- 19:58Speaker 1: the only bad thing I would say about Mortensen last night.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Players for Illinois, players for UAB. UAB shouldn't have been
- 20:04Speaker 1: that competitive in that game, and I thought they played
- 20:06Speaker 1: their ass off. Illinois, I don't know what they're going
- 20:09Speaker 1: to be in the Big Ten. They're going to be,
- 20:11Speaker 1: to me, Brett Bielema's worst team. They are slow. Bottom quarter.
- 20:14Speaker 2: They have no speed at all. I think Illinois is
- 20:17Speaker 2: going to be really, really bad. I give UAB credit.
- 20:19Speaker 2: They were able to move the ball, and they were
- 20:21Speaker 2: able to run the football.
- 20:22Speaker 1: That's right. And if you were with our friends at
- 20:25Speaker 1: Hard Rock Sports Bet, I think the UAB team total
- 20:29Speaker 1: was 14. That's a winner for you right there. It's
- 20:32Speaker 1: the way to go. People text me, hey, what do
- 20:34Speaker 1: you think about UAB at 14 as a team total?
- 20:36Speaker 1: I was like, the best part of that team is
- 20:38Speaker 1: going to be the offense. I'd take the 14.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I'd take the 14. The Brown Bandits next of kin
- 20:45Speaker 2: is becoming the new landmine. He sent me two texts
- 20:48Speaker 2: this football season, and right after both texts, his backdoor covers.
- 20:52Speaker 1: He did, yeah, backdoor covers.
- 20:53Speaker 2: He sent me one last week when Hawaii was covering,
- 20:57Speaker 2: and he said, man, once Hawaii got it rolling, this
- 21:00Speaker 2: team is unstoppable. And then the scoop and score from Stanford.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Last night, he's like, what a cover by Illinois on
- 21:05Speaker 2: the pick six.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought it was. Nice drive. Late touchdown. UAB covers.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Bad beat there. Nine seconds to go. You think that's
- 21:14Speaker 1: a bad beat? That's a bad one. I mean, especially
- 21:16Speaker 1: they went straight down the field.
- 21:17Speaker 2: The fourth and one, like if they don't get that
- 21:19Speaker 2: fourth and one, this is probably a 49 to 16 game.
- 21:23Speaker 1: But nothing is bad of a beat than the powerful
- 21:26Speaker 1: Big Ten and Rutgers. paying $ 1. 55 million for UMass. They're
- 21:33Speaker 1: not part of the Big Ten. To come to Rutgers
- 21:35Speaker 1: in the Big Ten. UMass 0-12 last year. UMass, such
- 21:40Speaker 1: a dismal program that when I get my EA Sports
- 21:42Speaker 1: College football, I always start really with a bad program
- 21:45Speaker 1: to build my dynasty. I tried it one time with UMass,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and it was so miserable playing with that bunch of
- 21:51Speaker 1: mess at UMass that I was like, I'm not going
- 21:54Speaker 1: to do this. I did it for a year and
- 21:55Speaker 1: a half in dynasty mode. Wasn't going to do it anymore.
- 21:59Speaker 1: 0-12 last year. They had not won since October 2024.
- 22:02Speaker 1: They were 29.5-point underdogs. They got $ 1. 55 million, and they
- 22:07Speaker 1: went in and boat-raced Rutgers 37-21. It wasn't that close.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It was crazy because you're a 29.5-point underdog going to Piscataway.
- 22:18Speaker 2: I give a shout-out to our buddy Scotty Gott. I
- 22:21Speaker 2: sat down with him last night at dinner, and he's like, man,
- 22:23Speaker 2: I thought about playing UMass on the money line.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And I'm like, This team's all 16 straight.
- 22:27Speaker 2: You know, just thinking to myself, it's like, just got
- 22:30Speaker 2: this feeling. And what do they do? They go out
- 22:32Speaker 2: and they roll them. And all I could think about
- 22:35Speaker 2: was a couple of things. Shiano comes back. He's had
- 22:39Speaker 2: two seven-win seasons since coming back. But it is so
- 22:41Speaker 2: hard to replicate the magic you had once before. We've
- 22:45Speaker 2: seen other coaches try it. And then the other thing,
- 22:48Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys, how much you paid
- 22:50Speaker 2: attention to that game, but KJ Duff, one of the
- 22:53Speaker 2: best receivers nobody knows about in college football, 6'6. Last
- 22:56Speaker 2: night had nine grabs, 196 yards, three touchdowns. In that loss,
- 23:00Speaker 2: how did they keep him? He was a 1,000-yard receiver
- 23:03Speaker 2: last year. There are so many teams that would love
- 23:05Speaker 2: a 6'6 receiver like that would speak.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It looked like they took all of their NIL money
- 23:09Speaker 1: and gave it to him. Yeah, and Lonergan. Because he
- 23:11Speaker 1: doesn't have anybody around him. Man, I remember a couple
- 23:13Speaker 1: years ago. You guys might have heard it, but he
- 23:17Speaker 1: was pushing Jalen Milrow at one point. The three picks
- 23:20Speaker 1: last night? Yeah, he was terrible. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, terrible.
- 23:23Speaker 1: That's against UMass. What's the kid's name for UMass, the quarterback?
- 23:26Speaker 1: William Watts. Yeah. I mean, what a great night for him. Oh, yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I loved him. He's tough. I mean, he's undersized. Dropping dimes.
- 23:33Speaker 1: That's right. I mean, he's a willing runner. Hats off UMass.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And listen, Game Ops, for you Game Ops folks out there,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I understand Rutgers Game Ops. You try to get people
- 23:43Speaker 1: into stands on a Thursday night to open up the season.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You bill it as, hey, the biggest fireworks display to
- 23:49Speaker 1: end your summer. Come out to the game, and after
- 23:51Speaker 1: the game, hang around for the fireworks. We've done this
- 23:53Speaker 1: at minor league baseball parks all over the South for years,
- 23:56Speaker 1: Friday night fireworks. Well, at Rutgers, it was, hey, come out,
- 24:00Speaker 1: start the season off with the Scarlet Knights, and then
- 24:02Speaker 1: hang around for the biggest fireworks show in New Jersey afterwards,
- 24:06Speaker 1: and we'll end summer with a win and a fireworks show.
- 24:10Speaker 1: The saddest fireworks show ever last night.
- 24:14Speaker 2: I'm going to assume that the game's up. They were
- 24:19Speaker 2: talking before, and they were like, let's put it on automation.
- 24:22Speaker 2: We'll wonder if we lose.
- 24:22Speaker 1: We're not going to lose. We're not going to lose UMass.
- 24:24Speaker 1: You paid all this money for the largest fireworks show
- 24:27Speaker 1: in New Jersey this summer, and nobody hangs around to
- 24:31Speaker 1: watch it because nobody hang around to see the end
- 24:33Speaker 1: of the game. By the way, I think you gave
- 24:36Speaker 1: us fake news on that Illinois crowd. I thought the
- 24:39Speaker 1: same thing.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I was like, it's not USC-like, but there ain't a lot.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Of people there. A ton of empty seats. Not as
- 24:46Speaker 1: many as that right there, but a ton. I mean,
- 24:48Speaker 1: what a bad fireworks show. That is sad trombone fireworks
- 24:52Speaker 1: right there. While I'm going old man in this segment,
- 24:55Speaker 1: fireworks shows also overrated. You know what that fireworks show
- 24:58Speaker 1: looks like? The last fireworks show I saw. Hey, by
- 25:00Speaker 1: the way, it's better than drones. I don't like the drones. Yeah,
- 25:02Speaker 1: I'm with you. I'd prefer a fireworks show over the
- 25:04Speaker 1: drone show. I saw a pretty good drone show at
- 25:05Speaker 1: Oklahoma-Alabama last year in the playoffs in Norman. And I
- 25:09Speaker 1: can't imagine it being any better than that. I got
- 25:12Speaker 1: tired of it after a while.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I would rather see the lit up drone and then
- 25:15Speaker 2: you get a professional skeet shooter and.
- 25:17Speaker 1: You get a professional drone driver. And he's trying to
- 25:20Speaker 1: make sure that you can't shoot him out.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Of the sky.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Skeet shooter versus drone driver. The stadium name here, if
- 25:25Speaker 1: you guys can see it with the kind of squint
- 25:27Speaker 1: your eyes and look, S-H-I. stadium yeah good corporate sponsorship
- 25:33Speaker 1: yeah they could add the one letter off probably what
- 25:35Speaker 1: it should have been trust me their defense added the
- 25:38Speaker 1: t last night.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I'll be honest i have not looked uh ahead at
- 25:41Speaker 2: rutgers schedule but you're losing at home.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Yeah they're in the big 10 that's.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Good good news for bill o'brien he's uh he's got
- 25:48Speaker 2: him at home next week and then uh usc they've
- 25:51Speaker 2: got indiana Michigan, Penn State.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I'm already seeing candidates to replace Shiano. I think that
- 25:57Speaker 1: might have gotten it for him. Who would want that job?
- 25:59Speaker 1: That's what I thought. They're more broke than UCLA is.
- 26:02Speaker 1: One of the candidates was Brian Kelly. I was like,
- 26:03Speaker 1: if you think Brian Kelly is going to go from
- 26:06Speaker 1: Notre Dame and LSU resources to Rutgers. By the way,
- 26:10Speaker 1: you know what you don't hear in the SEC? My
- 26:12Speaker 1: college football program is broke. We got two of those
- 26:15Speaker 1: in the Big Ten. I know. Rutgers and UCLA. On
- 26:18Speaker 1: that big graphic they do in the Big Ten where
- 26:20Speaker 1: they start out west and they fly over. Coast to coast. Yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 1: coast to coast. And campuses are popping up in all
- 26:26Speaker 1: these cities. It's a great commercial. Each coast. I love
- 26:27Speaker 1: the commercial. Oh, each coast. Yeah, it's broke. Have bankrupt programs. Yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 1: that's right. Yeah. They should be relegated. Who would want
- 26:33Speaker 1: those jobs? No, I tweeted that last night easily. This,
- 26:36Speaker 1: I think, forget what the score was, but it was
- 26:38Speaker 1: still halftime. It was like 30 to 7. 24 to 7.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I was like, uh. This is why we'll never have
- 26:44Speaker 1: relegation like the Premier League and Potware Conferences. They deserve it.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Because Rutgers, UCLA at times, there are just some that
- 26:51Speaker 1: would be down in the American, or in this case,
- 26:55Speaker 1: the MAC, if UMass were to win last night. All right,
- 26:59Speaker 1: quick break here when we come back. More college football.
- 27:01Speaker 1: We've got to talk about the court. Here's my feeling
- 27:04Speaker 1: on the court case in Louisiana. Yesterday, LSU won in
- 27:08Speaker 1: Baton Rouge. Today it's the SEC in Birmingham. And we
- 27:13Speaker 1: all know, we see this every year in the NBA finals,
- 27:16Speaker 1: a series doesn't get real until you lose on your
- 27:18Speaker 1: home court. The SEC's got a home game today in court.
- 27:22Speaker 1: We'll talk about that and more college football on the
- 27:24Speaker 1: field when we come back. This is the next round
- 27:27Speaker 1: presented by Hard Rock Bets on Sporting State. World Cup
- 27:30Speaker 1: soccer comes to college football last night. And I think
- 27:35Speaker 1: when we saw it happening in World Cup soccer, We said, oh,
- 27:39Speaker 1: this would be perfect for a certain school in college football. Well,
- 27:43Speaker 1: guess what? The certain school did it last night. Remember
- 27:46Speaker 1: when Norway was rowing the boat all over the U.S.
- 27:49Speaker 1: last year? Well, who rows the boat better than Minnesota
- 27:52Speaker 1: and Coach PJ? Well, they did it last night at
- 27:55Speaker 1: the game. They rowed the boat last night, and it
- 27:57Speaker 1: was a whole lot of fun for the fine folks
- 28:00Speaker 1: there at Minnesota. All right. Tell us about Perfect 10 Mortgage, Brown.

- 29:15Speaker 1: Baton Rouge judge put out the ruling that that allows
- 29:23Speaker 1: LSU to continue to roster players that have been in
- 29:28Speaker 1: NFL camps. So that's going to continue to happen. So
- 29:33Speaker 1: that's a real thing. But today, the SEC, who had
- 29:38Speaker 1: countersued in federal court, here in Birmingham, will go and
- 29:42Speaker 1: try to be able to say that LSU deliberately orchestrated
- 29:47Speaker 1: a plan to violate the rules of the SEC, and
- 29:53Speaker 1: they're going to try to outlast the Louisiana court. Tell
- 29:58Speaker 1: me if LSU blinked this morning. The school president sends
- 30:01Speaker 1: out this message. LSU respects the judicial process and the
- 30:06Speaker 1: court's decision. Our responsibility is to support our programs while
- 30:11Speaker 1: complying with the law and the rules governing our conference.
- 30:15Speaker 1: We will carefully review the court's order and continue to
- 30:18Speaker 1: work constructively with the SEC and the NCAA as this
- 30:22Speaker 1: matter moves forward. College football does not deserve this kind
- 30:26Speaker 1: of ambiguity. In eligibility standards, this is just another illustration
- 30:30Speaker 1: that Congress needs to pass a version of the Protect
- 30:33Speaker 1: College Sports Act. Fifteen presidents voted to allow the commissioner
- 30:39Speaker 1: to do anything that he needs to to upheld the
- 30:42Speaker 1: rules of the SEC. And I believe the school president,
- 30:46Speaker 1: the chancellor at LSU, abstained from voting. I think it
- 30:48Speaker 1: was 15-0. Some say it was 16-0, whatever it was.
- 30:54Speaker 1: The SEC is very serious about this not happening. And
- 30:57Speaker 1: LSU will turn in their 105-man roster today. It'll be
- 31:02Speaker 1: interesting to see if any of these NFL players like
- 31:05Speaker 1: Daquan Wright are on there. I think Daquan... says he
- 31:09Speaker 1: expects to play Saturday night. I saw the interview, and
- 31:14Speaker 1: he won 100%.
- 31:14Speaker 2: By 11.59 tonight, I think they've got to have, or.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Is it 11.59 today? I thought it was 24 hours before,
- 31:21Speaker 1: but whenever it is, it's the day before. I still
- 31:24Speaker 1: cannot believe that this... Just abstaining for the vote, does
- 31:28Speaker 1: that not tell you that... He couldn't even vote with
- 31:33Speaker 1: a good conscience. This is just amazing. It really is.
- 31:36Speaker 1: It really is amazing. I saw a legal analyst on
- 31:39Speaker 1: Twitter last night. Thank you for what it's worth. It's
- 31:42Speaker 1: a legal analyst on Twitter that said, with a lawsuit
- 31:47Speaker 1: pending in a federal court, with a hearing literally tomorrow,
- 31:50Speaker 1: this was last night, LSU would be absolute idiots to
- 31:54Speaker 1: roster these players. He's like, I got no dog in
- 31:56Speaker 1: this fight. I don't care one way or the other.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I'm just telling you from a legal standpoint, They would
- 32:00Speaker 1: be crazy to roster these players.
- 32:01Speaker 2: LSU is not playing, you know, no disrespect to Troy.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Troy beat them on their field a few years ago.
- 32:08Speaker 2: But they're playing Clemson this weekend. And even if it's
- 32:11Speaker 2: one extended conversation with the chancellor or an AD or
- 32:16Speaker 2: an attorney, Lane Kiffin needs to be talking to Blake Baker.
- 32:19Speaker 2: He needs to be talking to Charlie Weiss Jr. He
- 32:22Speaker 2: needs to be 100% preparing for Clemson. And all of
- 32:25Speaker 2: this noise about getting guys eligible– that might not even
- 32:29Speaker 2: play this weekend. It blows me away.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Yeah, me too. That we're doing it right now blows
- 32:34Speaker 1: me away. And I guess this is when you had
- 32:35Speaker 1: to do it. I just cannot believe. If LSU were
- 32:42Speaker 1: playing Nichols State Saturday, I'd be like, yeah, all right. But,
- 32:46Speaker 1: I mean, with literally the biggest game of week one
- 32:49Speaker 1: on the horizon, Saturday night at their place with College
- 32:53Speaker 1: Game Day there, with the main ESPN ABC crew there,
- 32:56Speaker 1: This is what we're doing yesterday blows me away. It's
- 32:58Speaker 1: almost a flex from Lane Kiffin. It's almost like he's
- 33:00Speaker 1: juggling while smoking. Greg Sankey was on the witness stand
- 33:03Speaker 1: for three hours yesterday answering questions from a boatload of
- 33:09Speaker 1: attorneys from the players' side of this. One apparently got
- 33:13Speaker 1: snarky with him, too. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I didn't
- 33:16Speaker 1: ask you to build a clock. I just want to
- 33:17Speaker 1: know what time it is was the comment to the guy.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I bet Greg did.
- 33:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:21Speaker 1: He sent that to Sankey? Oh, yeah. Greg was giving
- 33:24Speaker 1: one of his answers, well thought out, very academic-based. And
- 33:29Speaker 1: the guy's like, I didn't ask you to tell me
- 33:31Speaker 1: how to build a clock. I just want to know
- 33:32Speaker 1: what time it is. You think he pursed his lips
- 33:34Speaker 1: like Dunway does? A hundred, a hundred percent. His next
- 33:40Speaker 1: answer was like two words. Attorney generals all over the
- 33:44Speaker 1: SEC are chiming in today, backing the Southeastern Conference. I
- 33:50Speaker 1: have a family member who's a lawyer. He's like, I
- 33:54Speaker 1: would go ahead and expel them. I'd go ahead and
- 33:56Speaker 1: kick them out. Go ahead and draft that. Just go
- 33:59Speaker 1: ahead and draft that and see if they blink. Here
- 34:04Speaker 1: it is. If you roster them, We've already voted. Here's
- 34:06Speaker 1: your expulsion papers.
- 34:08Speaker 2: It's just so childish from Lane because Lane could have
- 34:11Speaker 2: shut this down a while ago.
- 34:12Speaker 1: He's not even going to play these guys.
- 34:13Speaker 2: I really don't believe there is any way, I agree
- 34:16Speaker 2: with you, Brown, that he plays these guys.
- 34:18Speaker 1: So what's this for? I don't know. It's so crazy.
- 34:23Speaker 1: It makes the loss worse, right?
- 34:25Speaker 2: I mean, the Clemson loss would be bad enough, but
- 34:28Speaker 2: with all of this surrounding it.
- 34:29Speaker 1: It's going to make it look like if Clemson wins
- 34:32Speaker 1: this game, like LSU could go out and play their
- 34:33Speaker 1: A game. And for some reason, Clemson's A game is
- 34:36Speaker 1: just slightly better. Yeah. And if you lose this game,
- 34:39Speaker 1: it's going to look like, well, boy, were you, you
- 34:42Speaker 1: were so, God, what's the word I'm looking for? Why
- 34:45Speaker 1: can I not say distracted with everything going on? You
- 34:48Speaker 1: didn't have your team prepared. And that's going to be
- 34:50Speaker 1: the narrative if they lose this game. Zabian Harris said
- 34:53Speaker 1: he got paid $ 190 to travel to Saints camp. He
- 34:57Speaker 1: doesn't think he would be ready to play on Saturday
- 34:59Speaker 1: night anyway. Did he take a buzz? It was the
- 35:01Speaker 1: Saints camp and he was in, Baton Rouge already, I guess.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Okay, well, he saved a big Uber, and he's got
- 35:07Speaker 2: still money to eat lunch.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Daquan Wright said he got $ 25, 000 to go. He'd gladly
- 35:13Speaker 1: pay it back if he needs to, because they're standing
- 35:16Speaker 1: to make a million dollars, I guess, to play for LSU,
- 35:19Speaker 1: which is crazy. Deliberate, coordinated, campaigned. To defy the SEC
- 35:26Speaker 1: rules is the lawsuit today. We'll see how it plays out.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Do you think they roster these guys or not? I
- 35:31Speaker 1: do not. I do not either. I mean, I'm not
- 35:34Speaker 1: going to be surprised. I hope they do. Yeah, I know.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I kind of want to see it happen just for
- 35:38Speaker 1: the craziness of it. Do you think Michael Alford at
- 35:42Speaker 1: Florida State is hoping they roster this? hoping that LSU
- 35:46Speaker 1: gets expelled. He'd be like, okay, we would take it.
- 35:49Speaker 1: It's FSU, LSU. You can just call us FSU. You
- 35:53Speaker 1: never have to call us Florida State. He's the dude
- 35:54Speaker 1: looking for the good-looking girl to break up with the quarterback.
- 35:57Speaker 1: So she's freeing on the market.
- 35:58Speaker 2: You don't want this because, I mean, there is irrelevant
- 36:01Speaker 2: as Rutgers.
- 36:02Speaker 1: You were just talking about what Rutgers does for the
- 36:03Speaker 1: big team. I want LSU to stay in the league.
- 36:05Speaker 1: I love the trip to Baton Rouge. I love that stadium.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I love the uniforms. I love everything about LSU. You've
- 36:12Speaker 1: just let a madman come in and take over What
- 36:15Speaker 1: is a proud program? This is Lane Kiffin doing Lane
- 36:18Speaker 1: Kiffin things. It is. I warned you guys a long
- 36:21Speaker 1: time ago about this guy. You did, Lance. But if
- 36:23Speaker 1: we were fighting for Fernando Mendoza here, like if Mendoza
- 36:26Speaker 1: was like, what did I screw up leaving college football?
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'd like to come back and play. Just go back
- 36:30Speaker 1: to us earlier this summer when Texas Tech was fighting
- 36:33Speaker 1: for Brendan Sorsby. You understood that. I got it.
- 36:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I mean, I thought they were wrong in their stance. Right.
- 36:38Speaker 1: But I got why they were doing it. QB won.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Because they thought this is literally our chance to win
- 36:43Speaker 1: a national championship or not.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:46Speaker 1: This is not that at LSU. You've got a good
- 36:48Speaker 1: roster with or without these guys. Yeah, if this is
- 36:50Speaker 1: Sam Leavitt.
- 36:51Speaker 2: If something comes up with Sam Leavitt and you want
- 36:53Speaker 2: to die on that hill, I get it.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Do they have a good roster? I'm starting to wonder.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Is this going to fundamentally impact your roster would be
- 37:00Speaker 1: my point. No, it's a big defensive lineman. They got
- 37:03Speaker 1: a DB from Utah who was in the Broncos camp.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I think they signed him last night. It's a tight end.
- 37:08Speaker 1: It's not even going to start. Yeah, it's depth at
- 37:10Speaker 1: tight end. It's– Possible depth on the defensive line and
- 37:14Speaker 1: a defensive back. And I just wonder, are you doing
- 37:18Speaker 1: this because your team's not as good as we think
- 37:21Speaker 1: they are? Are you doing this as a distraction to
- 37:25Speaker 1: keep from pressure being on them going into this big
- 37:27Speaker 1: game with all the hype around you? And it's going
- 37:30Speaker 1: to end up being just some Jedi mind trick? Part
- 37:32Speaker 1: of me wonders, this is the only time this could
- 37:35Speaker 1: ever happen. This is the only time in history that
- 37:39Speaker 1: this specific thing could ever happen. To the 22 class,
- 37:43Speaker 1: because the 23s, they get five years. Everybody's grandfathered in.
- 37:47Speaker 1: And part of me just wonders if that's the whole
- 37:48Speaker 1: reason Lane's doing it. Because he knows, this is my
- 37:52Speaker 1: only chance in life to take a guy that played
- 37:54Speaker 1: in the NFL and put him on my roster. I'll
- 37:55Speaker 1: never be able to do this again. That's not like
- 37:59Speaker 1: hiking Everest. Yeah, I agree with you, Lance. But this
- 38:02Speaker 1: is Lane we're talking about, too, you know? We'll do
- 38:05Speaker 1: our headlines pretty soon. Todd Furman joins at the top
- 38:08Speaker 1: of the hour. If you are not familiar with headlines
- 38:11Speaker 1: on our show, if you haven't been with us, we
- 38:13Speaker 1: do these Monday headlines, Sunday headlines after the games have
- 38:19Speaker 1: been played on Friday. We sort of predict with the headlines.
- 38:22Speaker 1: So we'll do that coming up here on the show.
- 38:24Speaker 1: So hang around for that. Usually at least one or
- 38:28Speaker 1: two chuckles for that as we do that. Todd Furman
- 38:31Speaker 1: will join us. At the top of the hour, we'll
- 38:34Speaker 1: talk about all the big picks that you can make
- 38:37Speaker 1: at Hard Rock Bets coming up this weekend. We've got
- 38:40Speaker 1: a lot to get to about week one. I know
- 38:44Speaker 1: the games look like blowouts, but when you've already seen
- 38:48Speaker 1: a 29.5-point underdog win outright, almost anything's on the table.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I asked.
- 38:53Speaker 2: I said, you know, there's 40-plus, 21-plus. Plus spreads this weekend. Well,
- 38:58Speaker 2: one of these dogs went out right, and we didn't
- 38:59Speaker 2: have to wait long. Yeah, it was the first game
- 39:01Speaker 2: out of.
- 39:01Speaker 1: The shoot last night. And I will ask this question again.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Will we be tired by Tuesday of seeing Nick Saban
- 39:10Speaker 1: on television? Because he is the face of not only
- 39:13Speaker 1: that Home Depot commercial where he stares at that second
- 39:16Speaker 1: slice of tomato way too long. And he's going to
- 39:20Speaker 1: be the face of the Protect College Sports Act commercials
- 39:24Speaker 1: that are run all weekend in every game. paid for
- 39:27Speaker 1: by the folks who are trying to get the Protect
- 39:28Speaker 1: College Sports Act through, the Senate and the House. Nick
- 39:33Speaker 1: Saban is there talking about that. That commercial will run
- 39:36Speaker 1: multiple times in every game. That Home Depot commercial will
- 39:39Speaker 1: run every time. He's on game day for three hours.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Can I ask the Home Depot question real quick? And
- 39:45Speaker 1: Scott Brooks may be the best to answer this because
- 39:48Speaker 1: they've worked in heavily a video production side. Is it
- 39:51Speaker 1: a hand? Is it a hand double that does the
- 39:54Speaker 1: so you notice like he's standing there, he's making the sandwich,
- 39:56Speaker 1: the doorbell rings and he goes, that was too fast.
- 39:59Speaker 1: and then he's got the power drill in his hand,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and they cut to a close-up of the.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Is it a hand double, you think, or is that
- 40:05Speaker 1: Saban's hands doing it? It's a hand double. You think
- 40:06Speaker 1: it's a hand double?
- 40:07Speaker 2: I think it's a hand double. And I don't know
- 40:09Speaker 2: about the Saban fatigue. I mean, look, you've been watching
- 40:11Speaker 2: college football long enough, you see Saban all the time.
- 40:14Speaker 2: I think the good news for Saban, he'll be insulated
- 40:16Speaker 2: because the Pat McAfee fatigue and his exposure will be.
- 40:21Speaker 1: This much above Nick Saban. I would say this, when
- 40:24Speaker 1: you see the Home Depot commercial, if I'm paying the
- 40:27Speaker 1: hand double, it's also the same guy who picks up
- 40:29Speaker 1: the Home Depot box off the... So he's just the
- 40:32Speaker 1: hand double guy for Home Depot? But I'm going to say...
- 40:35Speaker 1: I'll have to go back and look. I'll see... I
- 40:36Speaker 1: was just watching last night. I've seen Nick Saban's hands
- 40:38Speaker 1: enough to know I think I can tell whether they're
- 40:40Speaker 1: his hands or not. Did they have championship rings on them? No,
- 40:43Speaker 1: not his hands. What kind of feet does he have?
- 40:44Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. Always in the... Does
- 40:47Speaker 1: he have cute ankles? I have seen his ankles a
- 40:50Speaker 1: lot because he is a sockless guy. That's right. He
- 40:52Speaker 1: didn't answer the question.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Uh.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I don't judge men's feet or ankles. But women, I'll
- 40:59Speaker 1: give you a good 1 to 10 scale. When we
- 41:02Speaker 1: come back, maybe the headlines? Are we close to the
- 41:04Speaker 1: headlines yet?
- 41:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I sent a draft of it to Lance for approval.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I'll check right now. It should be fine. I mean,
- 41:13Speaker 1: I did it on the fly. If we get approval,
- 41:15Speaker 1: we'll do headlines in the next segment and then do
- 41:17Speaker 1: Todd Furman to show the rest of the country what
- 41:20Speaker 1: we like to do on Friday, and that's have fun.
- 41:22Speaker 1: It's all right here on the next round presented by
- 41:24Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bets on Sporting States. I think Lane perfectly
- 41:28Speaker 1: exemplifies the Oscar Wilde quote. The only thing worse than
- 41:32Speaker 1: being talked about is not being talked about. He is.
- 41:37Speaker 1: That's perfect.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Yes.
- 41:40Speaker 1: He is maybe the most insecure coach of all time.
- 41:43Speaker 1: That's probably why I've liked him all these years. I
- 41:46Speaker 1: get it. The show brought to you in part, before
- 41:49Speaker 1: we do our headlines, by Clay Travis Law. Hey, accidents
- 41:52Speaker 1: do not wait for a good time.
- 41:54Speaker 2: One bad moment, a wreck, a fall, a doctor who
- 41:56Speaker 2: wasn't paying attention, and suddenly you're fighting an insurance company
- 41:59Speaker 2: that does this every single day.
- 42:00Speaker 1: That's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He built a
- 42:03Speaker 1: firm around one idea.
- 42:04Speaker 2: People deserve someone willing to pay attention. Ask the hard
- 42:08Speaker 2: questions and push back when things don't add up. experienced
- 42:10Speaker 2: trial attorneys who bring the fight to corporations and insurers
- 42:13Speaker 2: based in Nashville, trusted across the country. They lead negotiations
- 42:17Speaker 2: with honesty, determination, and some Southern grit. Here's what they promise.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Honesty.
- 42:22Speaker 2: They don't sugarcoat your case. You're going to hear what
- 42:24Speaker 2: it's actually worth, not what you want to hear. The
- 42:27Speaker 2: case evaluation is free. No charge, no pressure, no hassle.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Just tell them your story. Go to ClayTravisLaw.com.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Call 877-222-4444. That is ClayTravisLaw.com. No case is too big
- 42:40Speaker 1: or too small. I'm looking at our big, we got
- 42:44Speaker 1: five TVs, big ones in front of us here. Alabama
- 42:47Speaker 1: is a main talking point again on First Take. They
- 42:51Speaker 1: had them at, their question was, college football title game
- 42:55Speaker 1: and win less than six games. I saw E.J.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Manuel, he's up there right now, and he was like, yeah,
- 43:03Speaker 2: it would be a disaster if they have a losing record.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I'm like, what? Like, what are they thinking about?
- 43:09Speaker 2: Like, I understand the lasting impression was Indiana winning by 35,
- 43:13Speaker 2: but guess what? They won eight of their games by 34-plus.
- 43:16Speaker 2: They won a national championship.
- 43:18Speaker 1: The headline right now, Alabama closer to national title or irrelevance?
- 43:23Speaker 1: You know who's talking about that on there? When did
- 43:26Speaker 1: this old boy that's got the mustache and can't tie
- 43:28Speaker 1: his tie become like a college? Like as soon as
- 43:30Speaker 1: the game's over, they go to Scott Van Pelt and
- 43:32Speaker 1: this dude's sitting with him. I'm like, I've never even
- 43:33Speaker 1: heard of this guy. It's a guy. This is football podcast.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I watch a lot of college football. Would you agree
- 43:39Speaker 1: with that?
- 43:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Never heard of this guy. So how did this guy,
- 43:42Speaker 1: and I'm fine, like, I'm not saying I have to
- 43:43Speaker 1: hear of him, but where did this dude come from? No,
- 43:45Speaker 1: he's like a creeper, man. Where did he come from?
- 43:48Speaker 1: He's on, he's part of the Omaha podcast. I saw that.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I saw that. This does not help me. Where did
- 43:53Speaker 1: he come from? It's in my feed because of my
- 43:56Speaker 1: Josh Pate busting with the boys, and then he pops
- 43:59Speaker 1: up with that. Is he from them? I don't know.
- 44:01Speaker 1: I just know he, like, as I'm watching on YouTube,
- 44:04Speaker 1: it's us obviously first, and then it's Pate. and then
- 44:07Speaker 1: it's busting with the boys, and then he's my options
- 44:10Speaker 1: after that. I'm usually out of time, so I don't
- 44:12Speaker 1: really click on it. Yeah, I mean, he's disheveled.
- 44:15Speaker 2: He looks like, hey, look, your deadline on this story
- 44:18Speaker 2: is midnight tonight.
- 44:19Speaker 1: I've been working three straight days. He smells like coffee.
- 44:22Speaker 1: His pants have got shit stains on them. I don't
- 44:25Speaker 1: know where this guy came from. All of a sudden,
- 44:27Speaker 1: he's this mean ESPN college football voice. And after the
- 44:30Speaker 1: Colorado-Georgia Tech game, we go to Scott Van Pelt, who
- 44:34Speaker 1: I very much enjoy, and I'm going to hang around
- 44:36Speaker 1: and watch a little bit of it. And they bring
- 44:37Speaker 1: this old boy on to talk about it. I'm like,
- 44:39Speaker 1: who is this? Yeah, I saw him a couple of
- 44:40Speaker 1: weeks ago for the first time.
- 44:41Speaker 2: He looks like the Army Goldhammer or whoever the guy
- 44:44Speaker 2: is that does Cleveland sports talk.
- 44:45Speaker 1: To me, he looks like the guy that I've been
- 44:48Speaker 1: captured in war. Right. And they're trying to get me
- 44:52Speaker 1: to give up secrets. And they're like, you don't want
- 44:55Speaker 1: us to bring in the doctor for the torture. Right.
- 45:00Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden he walks in and
- 45:02Speaker 1: he lays out, he unfolds like. What was that black
- 45:06Speaker 1: worm tool that we saw last week? That's a guy
- 45:10Speaker 1: that's going to come in and start ordering people to
- 45:12Speaker 1: pull fingernails out of me. He probably does a terrific job.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Certainly a great Christian human being. I mean, he may be.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I know it sounds like I'm. I know we joked
- 45:21Speaker 1: about his appearance. Okay, so yes, I was being critical.
- 45:24Speaker 1: I'm not saying I have to hear of them for
- 45:26Speaker 1: them to be on Scott Van Pelt talking about college football.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I'm just saying I watch a lot of college football.
- 45:30Speaker 1: You would think I would at least know who this
- 45:31Speaker 1: guy is. He's come out of the blue. I just
- 45:34Speaker 1: assume there's a new 200 people every day on this
- 45:37Speaker 1: sport and state platform who are watching this saying, who
- 45:39Speaker 1: the hell are these guys? We're complete idiots. Trust me,
- 45:41Speaker 1: I know that. Headlines right here. We try to project
- 45:44Speaker 1: what's happening in college football before it happens. Brown starts
- 45:47Speaker 1: us off. with his headlines today brownie let's go man
- 45:51Speaker 1: all right we're gonna for my main headline we're going
- 45:53Speaker 1: to go to baton rouge louisiana oh the advocate the
- 45:59Speaker 1: advocate in baton rouge louisiana here's the crazy headline you're
- 46:02Speaker 1: not gonna believe this guys lane kiffin forgot there was
- 46:04Speaker 1: actually a game saturday lane kiffin forgot that there was
- 46:08Speaker 1: a game oh no yeah You're going to have to
- 46:10Speaker 1: give me two seconds. I'm going to have to pull
- 46:11Speaker 1: this up. I thought it was going to be the
- 46:12Speaker 1: screen to my right, and I can't see all the
- 46:14Speaker 1: way across. Kiffin forgets there was a game Saturday. LSU
- 46:18Speaker 1: coach admits with everything going on, the game versus Clemson
- 46:21Speaker 1: just completely slipped his mind. Completely forgot there was a game.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Alternate headlines, page two. Rutgers officials now say they very
- 46:28Speaker 1: much regret inventing football. They are the school that invented football.
- 46:32Speaker 1: That's what they tell me. That's what they tell me.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You can't tell by watching. And then on page three,
- 46:39Speaker 1: a Nashville area high school team is very confused when
- 46:42Speaker 1: asked to beat us. They don't know who they're playing. Oh, yeah.
- 46:45Speaker 1: That's the Trent Dilfer schedule? That's a throwback. You've got
- 46:47Speaker 1: to watch the show to get that one.
- 46:49Speaker 2: I was just wondering what Lincoln Riley's handicap might be
- 46:53Speaker 2: in golf and when I when I googled ask the
- 46:56Speaker 2: robot um you know who are the best coaches in
- 46:59Speaker 2: golf Trent Dilfer Trent Dilfer was number one uh uh
- 47:03Speaker 2: Trey Lamb was number two.
- 47:04Speaker 1: My guy at Tulsa with the upset what do you.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Think I got Lincoln Riley's handicap finally oh what is
- 47:08Speaker 2: Lincoln Riley plays golf I mean he's got to with that.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Visor I'm gonna say I think he's a five I
- 47:16Speaker 1: would say Lincoln Riley is a nine He's a 10-1
- 47:19Speaker 1: or a 10-4. Could be a sandbagger. That's closer to
- 47:22Speaker 1: me than it is to Brown. Could be a sandbagger.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Right now through Browns, not judging, but I've got a
- 47:27Speaker 1: chance to have the best line so far. Usually I'm
- 47:31Speaker 1: the worst at this. Good. So far, so good. LT's next.
- 47:34Speaker 1: I'm going to go to Baton Rouge. Here we go.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Again, I think this is it. LSU flexes late in
- 47:40Speaker 2: Clemson beatdown. CFB rolls eyes. NFL redefined. Nevertheless, fuck Lane.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I thought it stood for not for long. We come
- 47:51Speaker 1: up with new acronyms all the time for NFL, right?
- 47:54Speaker 1: Not for long. That's a new one. What else we got?
- 48:00Speaker 1: Tyler worked on the side headlines for us. Yeah, we
- 48:03Speaker 1: got a new book.
- 48:05Speaker 5: It's detailing the long history between Lane and prose. And also,
- 48:11Speaker 5: we got a Yellow Lab signing a record deal with
- 48:14Speaker 5: Netflix for a tell-all podcast.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Hey, that's good stuff right there, Tyler. All right, Jim,
- 48:20Speaker 1: Tyler is the line to be found. Tyler won. You
- 48:23Speaker 1: won it with those two. With the subtitles. I'll take
- 48:25Speaker 1: credit for it. Here's my headlines. This is the Louisiana
- 48:30Speaker 1: Law Review. Resurrection plan. Kiffin gets judged to allow LSU
- 48:35Speaker 1: to exhume players for Frankenstein plan. The quote is, imagine
- 48:39Speaker 1: Billy Cannon's legs on our quarterback. So that's what's next
- 48:43Speaker 1: for Lane. His next plan down there. Spot crisis. Female
- 48:48Speaker 1: officials struggle with ball spots after lies about size since
- 48:52Speaker 1: college years. again last night she was back again acc
- 48:57Speaker 1: game last night that lady spotting the ball she's blowing
- 48:59Speaker 1: that whistle so quick the pile gets pushed late in
- 49:02Speaker 1: that game and she's already blown and spot the ball
- 49:06Speaker 1: the the pile never stopped being pushed and she cheated
- 49:09Speaker 1: them out about four yards late and it didn't matter
- 49:11Speaker 1: they scored anyway do you she could have been we
- 49:13Speaker 1: don't know who the official was that blew early on
- 49:15Speaker 1: that scooping score yep that was a big play in
- 49:18Speaker 1: hindsight right there that was one way Georgia Tech was
- 49:20Speaker 1: getting points.
- 49:21Speaker 2: But this wasn't the same one we saw last week.
- 49:23Speaker 1: It might have been. I don't know if that was
- 49:24Speaker 1: an ACC crew last week. With North Carolina playing in
- 49:28Speaker 1: that game, that could have been an ACC crew. Yeah,
- 49:30Speaker 1: this looked like– I don't know if it was the
- 49:31Speaker 1: same girl. I don't know.
- 49:32Speaker 2: This looked like a female for the first time in
- 49:34Speaker 2: a hurry. The one last week over in Ireland was like– She.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Was always behind the play and couldn't spot it right.
- 49:39Speaker 1: They seemed to be the same size. They looked to
- 49:41Speaker 1: be the same. Same arm motion. Yeah, a little lumpy.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Always running the clock. Yeah, yeah. And my last one
- 49:46Speaker 1: was day 12 of the hostage drama. That's a, that's
- 49:50Speaker 1: a blitz, blitz, Bama blitz guy, Willie and his East
- 49:53Speaker 1: Carolina gear AI, I hope. But apparently I'm told Alabama
- 49:57Speaker 1: has a Crimson Tide nation has a black ops trying
- 50:01Speaker 1: to get Willie back for the game tomorrow in Tuscaloosa.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Free Willie, literally free Willie. That would have been a
- 50:06Speaker 1: better headline. Free Willie. Gosh, missed that one. That's our headlines. That's,
- 50:11Speaker 1: that's our headlines. What we expect to see happen. Some
- 50:15Speaker 1: crazy stuff going on in college football. Guest picker in
- 50:18Speaker 1: Baton Rouge tomorrow, you just hear this. That's all, Lainey Wilson.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Lainey Wilson. No ties to Louisiana, or is she from Louisiana?
- 50:24Speaker 1: She's from Louisiana. She's been there before. No, she's from Louisiana,
- 50:28Speaker 1: but I think she's a Lamo graduate, if what I
- 50:32Speaker 1: saw on social media was true. But she has Louisiana roots. Yeah,
- 50:35Speaker 1: she's from Louisiana. Okay, I did not know that. I mean,
- 50:37Speaker 1: that's a... Like the guest picker, man, it's getting harder
- 50:41Speaker 1: and harder to find one. 500th show. Yeah, 500th show,
- 50:44Speaker 1: and they've been doing that for quite a while. Yeah,
- 50:46Speaker 1: so they've been doing it a while. I think she's
- 50:47Speaker 1: a pretty good one. Should be a fun weekend down
- 50:49Speaker 1: in Baton Rouge with all this stuff going on, and eventually,
- 50:52Speaker 1: thank God, they will play a football game. And we
- 50:54Speaker 1: can talk about LSU in a win or a loss,
- 50:58Speaker 1: whatever it turns out happening. All right, when we come back,
- 51:01Speaker 1: Todd Furman from Las Vegas. He wakes up. We'll see
- 51:03Speaker 1: him in living color. He's going to do video with us.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Here on Sporting State, this is the next round presented
- 51:09Speaker 1: by Hard Rock Bets.
