• 0:21
  Speaker 1: you gotta wurk.
• 0:23
Speaker 2: Welcome to Let's Talk with Carl Lee. Let's Talk is
• 0:26
Speaker 2: probably presented by Attorney Frank Walker, Real Talk, Real Experience,
• 0:30
Speaker 2: Real results, Frank Walker Law dot Com. Let that conversation
• 0:34
Speaker 2: begin on Let's Talk.
• 0:36
Speaker 3: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. This is Carl Lee with Let's Talk.
• 0:40
Speaker 3: And I have my co host Hollis Lewis and Lisa
• 0:43
Speaker 3: Odie in the building.
• 0:45
Speaker 4: And we've got a guest that Hollis is.
• 0:47
Speaker 3: Gonna introduce, and we're gonna start the day off with
• 0:51
Speaker 3: a little bit of youth football conversation. So my favorite
• 0:54
Speaker 3: saying yeah for sure. So we have Courtney Campbell Williams.
• 0:58
Speaker 3: She is the president of Umbar Football and Cheer here
• 1:02
Speaker 3: in the Kanal Valley in Dunbar, West Virginia. And the
• 1:07
Speaker 3: reason I feel like it's important to like have you
• 1:11
Speaker 3: I and we're gonna get to your live here in
• 1:13
Speaker 3: a second. But you know, one of the things that
• 1:16
Speaker 3: I've had a big problem with is that number one,
• 1:20
Speaker 3: we've in the Kanal Valley. We've gone from from you know,
• 1:24
Speaker 3: we had a plethora of teams. Now we're down to,
• 1:27
Speaker 3: you know, not that many teams like it was when
• 1:29
Speaker 3: we were growing up. And it seems as though every
• 1:32
Speaker 3: time the City Charleston, Dunbar, South Charleston, we get in
• 1:36
Speaker 3: the league and somehow these leagues find us a way
• 1:39
Speaker 3: to kick us out the league for whatever reason. So
• 1:43
Speaker 3: how long have you been the president of Dunbar and
• 1:45
Speaker 3: how many leagues have you gone through just being a
• 1:48
  Speaker 3: part of.
• 1:48
Speaker 5: I've been the president of Dunbar for two years and
• 1:51
Speaker 5: I was the vice president of Dunbar for two years
• 1:53
Speaker 5: as well, So I've been there.
• 1:54
  Speaker 6: For four years.
• 1:55
  Speaker 4: Four years.
• 1:55
Speaker 3: And how many different leagues have you guys been in
• 1:58
Speaker 3: and out of in that time?
• 2:00
Speaker 7: This is our third league gee.
• 2:03
Speaker 3: And again, and from what I know, it's not necessarily
• 2:05
Speaker 3: any fault of your own. It's just like I said,
• 2:07
Speaker 3: we get in these leagues and they find a way
• 2:09
Speaker 3: to to, you know, kick us out. And I've even
• 2:12
Speaker 3: gotten to the point of frustration where I don't even
• 2:14
Speaker 3: allow my girls to cheer anymore. Like I have you know,
• 2:17
Speaker 3: six or seven year old girls and they're not even
• 2:19
Speaker 3: allowed to cheer because of the controversies of what's going on.
• 2:23
Speaker 3: So in this last issue, what could you just explain
• 2:28
Speaker 3: what was the issue when, like why did you have
• 2:30
Speaker 3: to switch leagues this time? And before before you say that,
• 2:34
  Speaker 3: I can't wait for this answer because I don't I
• 2:37
Speaker 3: don't know where they come up with these things, like
• 2:40
Speaker 3: like like all of what you find out is all
• 2:42
Speaker 3: of a sudden, like you're just out, like they created
• 2:47
Speaker 3: they create a situation where they've got a schedule.
• 2:50
Speaker 4: And we're talking about the presidents of these other leagues.
• 2:52
Speaker 3: Of the other leagues or the leagues that we were in.
• 2:57
Speaker 3: Right what happens is we realized that we're not in that.
• 3:02
Speaker 3: So I'm curious of what what what her what her voice,
• 3:06
Speaker 3: what she's gonna say to this.
• 3:09
Speaker 5: So I just want to clarify the Dunbar Bullpups have
• 3:12
Speaker 5: never been kicked out of any league or franchise.
• 3:16
  Speaker 7: In the area.
• 3:18
Speaker 5: The reason why we were out of the last league
• 3:21
Speaker 5: was based upon a promise that wasn't kept and I
• 3:24
Speaker 5: made the decision to remove my team from that league.
• 3:29
Speaker 5: So we were in the Tri State League. When the
• 3:33
Speaker 5: original league that we were in it was Dunbar Charleston,
• 3:37
Speaker 5: South Charleston, Saint Albans.
• 3:39
Speaker 7: And South Hills. I believe that was all that was
• 3:42
  Speaker 7: in our league.
• 3:43
Speaker 5: When we disbanded last year, we decided to go to
• 3:47
Speaker 5: the Tri State League.
• 3:48
Speaker 7: We went to the Tri State League.
• 3:49
Speaker 5: We met with them great great people, John and Kenney.
• 3:54
Speaker 5: There were great people there, but they promised us that.
• 3:57
Speaker 7: We would be able to keep our grandfather players.
• 4:02
Speaker 5: If you know anything about youth sports here in the valley,
• 4:04
Speaker 5: then you know that Dunbar is the longest running youth
• 4:07
  Speaker 5: sports program.
• 4:08
Speaker 7: Here in the valley.
• 4:09
Speaker 5: We're the only ones that have not disbanded. We're not
• 4:12
Speaker 5: We're the only ones who have not merged with anybody else.
• 4:15
Speaker 5: We've always stood on our own two feet. But we're
• 4:18
Speaker 5: able to do that because we are a legacy account holders.
• 4:22
Speaker 5: So it's say I cheer for us, my daughter cheers
• 4:26
Speaker 5: for us, then she'll bring her daughter to cheer for us.
• 4:29
Speaker 5: And that's how we sustain because we keep it a
• 4:31
Speaker 5: family like atmosphere, so people keep coming and coming and coming.
• 4:34
Speaker 5: But with us also being so stable and being such
• 4:38
Speaker 5: a long running organization, other people from other teams have
• 4:42
Speaker 5: come to us two over the years.
• 4:44
Speaker 7: From other schools that aren't technically ours.
• 4:47
Speaker 5: They have come to us school too over the years
• 4:49
Speaker 5: to play for us, just because we had that stability.
• 4:52
Speaker 5: And when we went to the tri State last year,
• 4:55
Speaker 5: we was able to win the silver bracket turffall they
• 4:59
Speaker 5: have a silver bracket, a gold bracket. We won the
• 5:01
Speaker 5: silver bracket championship, we won the cheer Championship, we won
• 5:05
Speaker 5: the Spirit Award, all with these different players from different teams.
• 5:09
Speaker 5: So when we went back in there in December, you know,
• 5:13
Speaker 5: to regroup about the season and see what we could
• 5:15
Speaker 5: make better and what changes we need to make, there
• 5:18
Speaker 5: was basically our name on a whiteboard that said Dumbar
• 5:21
Speaker 5: with thirteen schools. Every other school had about five or
• 5:25
Speaker 5: six schools. They said, we pulled from thirteen, but we
• 5:29
Speaker 5: also have kids at private with private schools as well,
• 5:32
Speaker 5: and then Dumbar you know intermediate primary.
• 5:35
Speaker 7: It's K through two and three through five.
• 5:37
Speaker 5: So it looks like we have a lot more than
• 5:38
Speaker 5: what we actually had. So because of this, and because
• 5:42
Speaker 5: of all the wins and things like that, we felt
• 5:45
Speaker 5: like we were being targeted because we had those wins.
• 5:50
Speaker 5: So what they did was was they limited our numbers
• 5:52
  Speaker 5: of schools.
• 5:53
Speaker 7: So they said, you can.
• 5:54
Speaker 5: Have Dunbar Intermediate and Dunbar Primary, which is a K
• 5:57
Speaker 5: through two and at three through five, and you can
• 6:00
  Speaker 5: have Shawnee School.
• 6:01
Speaker 7: And I'm like, Shawnee School hasn't been open for years.
• 6:05
Speaker 7: It does not exist.
• 6:06
Speaker 5: They're like, well, still on the Kanah County website. I'm like, well,
• 6:08
Speaker 5: you can drive over there if you want to. You're
• 6:10
Speaker 5: not gonna see nobody in.
• 6:11
  Speaker 7: The parking lot.
• 6:11
Speaker 5: It does not exist. So I can't pull from someplace
• 6:14
Speaker 5: that does not exist. So they gave me Bridge Valley,
• 6:18
Speaker 5: excuse me, bridge View and two other schools, But that
• 6:23
Speaker 5: would have still meant that I would have had to
• 6:25
Speaker 5: say goodbye to thirty seven players that have played for
• 6:29
Speaker 5: me over the years. I have people who have played
• 6:31
Speaker 5: for me since D team and now they're on a team,
• 6:34
Speaker 5: and I would have had to tell them goodbye.
• 6:36
  Speaker 7: And I run a kid's league.
• 6:38
Speaker 3: And just to be clear, the schools, the thirteen schools
• 6:41
Speaker 3: that were making up where your players are from. It's
• 6:43
Speaker 3: not as though you were recruiting those kids. Those kids
• 6:46
Speaker 3: were coming in because for example, I played it Kana
• 6:49
Speaker 3: City coach, I played at Western Generals. Those teams don't
• 6:51
Speaker 3: exist no more. And I know particularly what happened with
• 6:55
Speaker 3: Western Generals is that when that organization disbanded, a lot
• 6:59
Speaker 3: of those coaches and kids went to Dunbar. Hints what
• 7:02
Speaker 3: you said about stability, so in in in switching going
• 7:08
Speaker 3: to now get a new league. How does that does
• 7:12
Speaker 3: that hurt? How does that affect you moving forward?
• 7:16
Speaker 5: Well, it's been a great thing so due to the
• 7:19
Speaker 5: conditioning and things like that. So initially I did have
• 7:22
Speaker 5: to tell my kids, you know, they're not going to
• 7:24
Speaker 5: let me keep my grandfather kids, but in order to
• 7:26
Speaker 5: keep my program, I'm just gonna have to let you go.
• 7:29
Speaker 5: And I sat on it for about two weeks and
• 7:31
Speaker 5: I said, I cannot do that to them. I literally
• 7:34
Speaker 5: had kids making those little kids facebooks and they were
• 7:36
Speaker 5: messaging me like, hey miss Courtney, when it is cheered
• 7:38
  Speaker 5: practice er. I'm like, I can't. I can't do this
• 7:40
Speaker 5: to them. So I went back, you know, I try
• 7:43
Speaker 5: to contact the try State. I called an emergency meeting.
• 7:46
Speaker 5: I try to regroup, but try to let them know,
• 7:48
Speaker 5: you know, what was going on, and they just they
• 7:52
Speaker 5: just didn't want to hear it.
• 7:54
Speaker 6: I have a question for you, Courtney, and I'm sorry
• 7:56
Speaker 6: you're going through this.
• 7:56
Speaker 8: I know it must be tough on the kids, an't
• 7:58
Speaker 8: on you as well, but so so changing leagues that
• 8:01
Speaker 8: you had to do that in order to keep all
• 8:03
Speaker 8: of your kids together, which is understandable. What if, Courtney,
• 8:07
Speaker 8: they would have come to you and said, Okay, we'll
• 8:09
Speaker 8: let you keep these grandfathered kids in, but once those
• 8:13
Speaker 8: kids run through your league, you still have to draw
• 8:16
Speaker 8: from these schools that we've assigned. Would that be a
• 8:20
Speaker 8: possibility for you, guys.
• 8:21
Speaker 5: That's what I was actually hoping that they would have
• 8:23
Speaker 5: countered me for. Uh huh, I I wish that would
• 8:26
Speaker 5: have been the counter offer. It's easier for me to say, hey,
• 8:30
Speaker 5: I've had these kids forever. I can keep them, and
• 8:33
Speaker 5: I will keep the boundaries of the new kids coming
• 8:35
Speaker 5: in right, and I will you know, I will try
• 8:37
Speaker 5: to monitor that limit that just let me keep these kids.
• 8:40
Speaker 5: And that's what I honestly thought they was going to
• 8:41
Speaker 5: let me do. But they just didn't make me that off.
• 8:44
Speaker 6: It just wasn't on the table at all.
• 8:46
Speaker 3: Okay, So I want to let me ask this question.
• 8:51
Speaker 3: When you the folks that you're talking about, you're talking
• 8:54
Speaker 3: about the leadership of the leagues, right, yes, which typically
• 8:58
Speaker 3: are the president of each one of those Leaguesidents fourteen.
• 9:03
  Speaker 4: Yes, So.
• 9:06
Speaker 3: For for us, I know that I don't to my
• 9:10
Speaker 3: to my knowledge and you can correct me if I'm
• 9:12
Speaker 3: wrong here. I don't think that we have like when
• 9:16
Speaker 3: you guys were in a separate league, that conversation with
• 9:20
Speaker 3: the past, the league that we were in together, the
• 9:22
Speaker 3: conversation that you all had, we had no We had
• 9:26
Speaker 3: no idea because we got stuck. We weren't aware of
• 9:31
Speaker 3: the last two leagues that have taken place. We had
• 9:34
Speaker 3: no idea that was that was even happening. We looked
• 9:39
Speaker 3: up when somebody posted here's this new league, here's the
• 9:42
Speaker 3: new Canal County League.
• 9:45
Speaker 4: We were not in it. You all were not in it.
• 9:49
Speaker 4: Saint Albans was not in it.
• 9:52
Speaker 3: I think GW was, or South Hills was not in it.
• 9:58
Speaker 7: Just the Appalachian League.
• 9:59
Speaker 5: Yes, So we did apply to the Appalachian League last
• 10:03
Speaker 5: year before we applied to the Tri State League. But
• 10:10
Speaker 5: just to be honest, they basically told me the only
• 10:13
Speaker 5: way that they would accept.
• 10:14
Speaker 7: My program into their program.
• 10:18
Speaker 5: Was if I let go of our boys coordinator at
• 10:20
Speaker 5: a time, which was Seawan Tom Forte coach Cutty. And
• 10:25
Speaker 5: if you know anything about dunbar football. There's no Dunbar
• 10:27
Speaker 5: football without coach Cutty. And I was not willing to
• 10:30
Speaker 5: make that adjustment to them.
• 10:33
Speaker 6: Why would that be a demand, do you think?
• 10:36
  Speaker 5: I think it's a demand because he's such, he's such
• 10:39
  Speaker 5: a large presence, but it's because he's a good person
• 10:44
Speaker 5: and sometimes us he's very vocal about his past and
• 10:51
Speaker 5: what he's done to better himself throughout. So they made
• 10:56
Speaker 5: it seem as though it may have been a background
• 11:01
Speaker 5: fault of his but to our knowledge, dumbar football knowledge,
• 11:06
Speaker 5: the incident that they're referring to was thirty two years old,
• 11:09
Speaker 5: So that's just an.
• 11:11
  Speaker 7: Excuse to me.
• 11:12
  Speaker 4: I agree.
• 11:13
Speaker 5: They couldn't give me any other reason as to why
• 11:16
Speaker 5: they did not want to let us in. The only
• 11:18
Speaker 5: stipulation I was given was to let him go, and
• 11:21
Speaker 5: I don't. We don't leave any bullpups behind and let me.
• 11:24
Speaker 4: Let me let me say.
• 11:25
Speaker 3: Let me say this, and I've said it on Facebook
• 11:29
Speaker 3: a number of times.
• 11:31
  Speaker 4: If there is.
• 11:31
Speaker 3: An individual, if there is an individual who is dedicated
• 11:39
Speaker 3: sold all the way in is kids, it is cutting
• 11:46
Speaker 3: John Forte. You like he he he will fight you
• 11:50
Speaker 3: over his kids, you know. And he don't have to
• 11:52
Speaker 3: have no relationship with with it. He's adamant about he's
• 11:57
Speaker 3: passionate about the game aim Because all of that, you
• 12:03
Speaker 3: can't to me, you can't look at that person and
• 12:09
Speaker 3: say you need him to go.
• 12:11
Speaker 4: What you should be doing.
• 12:12
Speaker 3: Is how do I get a guy like that? That's
• 12:15
Speaker 3: to me, that's the issue.
• 12:17
Speaker 8: Is there some type of in their league? That's that's
• 12:19
Speaker 8: the rule, even you have some type of you know,
• 12:24
Speaker 8: charge or something that you can't be a coach or
• 12:25
Speaker 8: no like over riding regulations.
• 12:29
Speaker 5: Of course, with every league, there's one thing that makes
• 12:31
Speaker 5: sure of with every league that you're in, it's that
• 12:33
Speaker 5: you're not a registered sex dependent and sometimes sometimes some
• 12:39
Speaker 5: leagues have a rule where you cannot have a recent
• 12:43
Speaker 5: criminal activity like a violent crush. Sure, but to my knowledge,
• 12:49
Speaker 5: that's not his background either, and it was a lot.
• 12:55
  Speaker 4: To me.
• 12:55
Speaker 3: The background part of this for him makes no sense,
• 13:00
Speaker 3: like there's he's been he's been coaching already for who
• 13:06
Speaker 3: knows how long? So how where now does this all
• 13:09
Speaker 3: of a sudden show up?
• 13:11
  Speaker 9: Right?
• 13:11
Speaker 4: You know, like why would this? Why would this show up?
• 13:14
Speaker 3: If he's been able to he's been around these kids,
• 13:16
Speaker 3: he's been a positive impact on these particular kids the
• 13:20
Speaker 3: entire time he's been there. Right now, you're going to
• 13:24
Speaker 3: hold him accountable for something from from his past to
• 13:28
Speaker 3: keep him from touching those kids. But I think it's
• 13:31
  Speaker 3: a it's a community thing. I think when you go
• 13:33
Speaker 3: from community community we have different understanding of certain things.
• 13:36
Speaker 3: But the question I want to ask is that you know,
• 13:39
Speaker 3: like just moving forward from a like a sort of
• 13:43
Speaker 3: a holistic bird's eye of you perspective just on you sports,
• 13:47
Speaker 3: particularly here in the valley, what would you just like
• 13:50
Speaker 3: to see done like in your perfect world? Like what
• 13:54
Speaker 3: would what would your perfect world look like as far
• 13:56
Speaker 3: as you know, kids competing in football, chair and whatever else?
• 14:00
Speaker 3: How would a league be made up?
• 14:03
Speaker 7: Let's see my perfect world. My perfect world, we would
• 14:06
  Speaker 7: have a sports.
• 14:07
Speaker 5: Complex that would be accessible to all kids at no
• 14:12
Speaker 5: costs to the franchises. So if we want to go
• 14:16
Speaker 5: and have a game someplace, we have to pay to
• 14:18
  Speaker 5: go there.
• 14:20
Speaker 7: It would be nice if we did not have to
• 14:21
Speaker 7: pay to go there.
• 14:22
Speaker 5: This is for kids, and when we're having to pay
• 14:23
Speaker 5: for practices, we have to pay for games, So it
• 14:25
Speaker 5: would be nice to have access to facility.
• 14:28
Speaker 7: It would be nice to Last year.
• 14:32
Speaker 5: My vice president and I we worked year round and
• 14:35
Speaker 5: we raised ninety thousand dollars to get all new equipment
• 14:39
  Speaker 5: for our kids.
• 14:40
Speaker 7: It would be nice if, just in my perfect world,
• 14:43
  Speaker 7: if the.
• 14:43
Speaker 5: City of Dunbar would take some ownership and look at
• 14:46
Speaker 5: their UTH sports program and.
• 14:48
Speaker 7: See what they could do to actually help us out
• 14:49
  Speaker 7: the way.
• 14:49
Speaker 5: We're not out here having a grind like we had
• 14:52
Speaker 5: to grind, So that would be great. It would be
• 14:55
Speaker 5: nice if I didn't have to charge as much as
• 14:58
Speaker 5: I have to charge my kids.
• 14:59
Speaker 7: I have to charge one sixty five for cheer on
• 15:01
  Speaker 7: thirty for football.
• 15:02
Speaker 5: And that's also because Dunbar, the City of Dunbar doesn't
• 15:05
Speaker 5: take pride and it's U sports program and provide us
• 15:09
Speaker 5: with the funds to be able to do more. But
• 15:12
Speaker 5: it would be great if I had if I had
• 15:16
Speaker 5: more coach Cutties. It would be great if I had
• 15:18
Speaker 5: more coach Grandmas. She's the equivalent to Coach Cutty, but
• 15:22
Speaker 5: she's for cheerleaders. And it would be great if I
• 15:26
Speaker 5: had parents who were willing to step up and do
• 15:28
Speaker 5: the work that was needed to make sure that the
• 15:31
Speaker 5: programs are taken care of. I can sit here all
• 15:33
Speaker 5: day long and bash a city for not taking care
• 15:36
Speaker 5: of us or say, you know, I've been out here
• 15:39
Speaker 5: doing this and that. But it would be great if
• 15:42
Speaker 5: we had parents that said, Okay, I do have this
• 15:45
Speaker 5: kid here that comes to practice every day and they
• 15:48
Speaker 5: don't have enough money for cleats, but I got an
• 15:51
Speaker 5: old pair of cleats at home, or I got an
• 15:53
Speaker 5: extra fifty dollars. You know, I can step in and
• 15:55
Speaker 5: help those kids out. That would be my perfect world.
• 15:59
Speaker 5: And another thing is it would be just so great
• 16:03
Speaker 5: if adults would just let the kids do what they.
• 16:06
Speaker 3: That's always What about what about like first league wide?
• 16:11
Speaker 3: Would you like to see a situation in which, you know,
• 16:13
Speaker 3: it kind of almost reverted back where because I know, like,
• 16:16
Speaker 3: for example, Charleston Cougar the little and I think maybe
• 16:19
Speaker 3: you guys they're like traveling to Parkersburg every other week.
• 16:23
  Speaker 4: And that's crazy.
• 16:24
Speaker 7: We're in the same league.
• 16:25
Speaker 4: So are you back in Okay? So yeah, we're all
• 16:27
Speaker 4: in the same Okay.
• 16:28
Speaker 5: Yes, So when I made the move to go to
• 16:31
Speaker 5: the Ohio Valley League, it was just on Saturday, Saturday.
• 16:35
Speaker 7: We just moved Saturday, and.
• 16:38
Speaker 3: You guys have to pretty much like go back and
• 16:40
Speaker 3: forth to Parkersburg every other week.
• 16:42
Speaker 4: Is that Basically, we have.
• 16:43
Speaker 5: Four home games that are here in Dunbar or South Charleston,
• 16:47
Speaker 5: and then I have four away games. We had to
• 16:50
Speaker 5: travel a lot last year due to be in the
• 16:52
Speaker 5: Profit League, so we're used to it. Okay, we're just
• 16:54
Speaker 5: happy to be able to play, but it would be
• 16:57
Speaker 5: nice to be able to get the local teams and
• 16:59
Speaker 5: things like that to get other again. But once again,
• 17:01
Speaker 5: that's not going to be able to happen until certain
• 17:04
Speaker 5: adults put their egos aside, if we let until we
• 17:07
Speaker 5: let go of stereotypes, because there's a stigma on certain leagues.
• 17:13
Speaker 5: Dunbar is blessed enough. I don't know how to say
• 17:16
Speaker 5: that the note, you know, a more classy way, but
• 17:20
Speaker 5: we're the bougie black people. We're we're the boogie.
• 17:24
Speaker 7: Black League in the valley.
• 17:26
Speaker 5: And then of course, you know there's another league that
• 17:29
Speaker 5: is considered the ghetto black league in the valley, and
• 17:34
Speaker 5: you know, people don't want to play against them, or
• 17:37
Speaker 5: every time we do play against them, you know, there's
• 17:39
Speaker 5: always a stigma that is there going to be a fighter,
• 17:41
Speaker 5: They're going to be, you know, doing something they're not
• 17:43
Speaker 5: supposed to be doing. I just think we just need
• 17:45
Speaker 5: to get rid of the stigmas, get rid of the stereotypes,
• 17:47
Speaker 5: and realize that if we do not come together, these
• 17:49
Speaker 5: kids ultimately will not have a place to play because
• 17:53
  Speaker 5: that league's done.
• 17:55
Speaker 7: We've left the Try State League.
• 17:57
Speaker 5: I'm sure we could go back if we wanted to,
• 17:59
Speaker 5: but I don't want to as my kids. The o
• 18:01
Speaker 5: Higher River Valley League has accepted us with open arms.
• 18:03
Speaker 5: They seem like great people. But if this doesn't work out,
• 18:07
Speaker 5: then what's next. We have to realize that all we
• 18:10
Speaker 5: have is each other and.
• 18:12
Speaker 3: That's ultimately let me let me, let me ask her
• 18:15
Speaker 3: this question. Do you think that we need outside help
• 18:20
Speaker 3: to to fight this battle? Because as coaches and going
• 18:27
Speaker 3: to the meetings, they're never going to really let us in.
• 18:30
  Speaker 3: I mean they're never you know, they're because they don't
• 18:32
Speaker 3: they don't be yes, because they don't. They don't want
• 18:34
Speaker 3: to play you all, you know, they don't they don't
• 18:37
Speaker 3: want to play Charleston.
• 18:38
Speaker 4: You know, they just they you know, it is.
• 18:40
Speaker 3: The quote black teams that they do not want to play.
• 18:44
Speaker 3: And we're not a black team, even though we're considered
• 18:46
Speaker 3: that we're not that. But it's like they won't, they
• 18:50
Speaker 3: don't want to play because they don't feel like they
• 18:52
Speaker 3: can win. And I think we should be playing in
• 18:57
Speaker 3: the valley. If you're in the valley, you should be
• 19:00
Speaker 3: playing in the ballet. I think also, man, it's ain't
• 19:02
Speaker 3: about black and white. This suit that are kids like
• 19:05
Speaker 3: this should be like just for kids. And my problem
• 19:08
Speaker 3: with this and all kind of the issues that's going
• 19:11
Speaker 3: around with the different leagues and everything is that sports
• 19:14
Speaker 3: are foundation. So whether you're talking about football, whether you're
• 19:17
Speaker 3: talking about cheer, a lot of these kids black, white, otherwise, poor, rich, whatever,
• 19:22
Speaker 3: this is the foundation that they're going to maintain themselves
• 19:25
Speaker 3: in school. Some of these kids are going to get scholarships.
• 19:27
Speaker 3: Some of these kids are gonna go and do great
• 19:29
Speaker 3: things off the backs of sports. So to your point,
• 19:33
Speaker 3: coordinat like the focus are to be the kids. Yeah,
• 19:35
Speaker 3: you know what I mean.
• 19:36
Speaker 5: So I don't think that we need outside help. I
• 19:40
Speaker 5: don't think that we need outside help to kind of
• 19:43
Speaker 5: get us together. What I think is is we need
• 19:45
Speaker 5: to build an alliance within us. All the presidents in
• 19:48
Speaker 5: the valley need to come together, call it a truce,
• 19:50
Speaker 5: and let's start over. Because if we can't get it
• 19:53
Speaker 5: together with just us, somebody coming intent every top of
• 19:56
Speaker 5: our shoulder telling us what to do isn't going to
• 19:58
Speaker 5: make us any better. I'm a firm belief if you know,
• 20:01
Speaker 5: if you want to play for me, you can play
• 20:03
Speaker 5: for me. If you want to play somebody else, you
• 20:04
Speaker 5: can play for somebody else. I want you to be happy,
• 20:06
Speaker 5: and I'm not going to be happy with somebody standard
• 20:08
Speaker 5: top of my back telling me how to run my program.
• 20:10
Speaker 3: I love that, and I love that, and I'm not
• 20:13
Speaker 3: saying that they're going to that they're going to be
• 20:16
Speaker 3: overseeing your program, right, I'm not.
• 20:19
Speaker 4: That's not my thing. My thing is we are all back.
• 20:23
Speaker 4: If you're if your league, if your team is in
• 20:26
Speaker 4: the Kanall County, if you're in Kanall County, you should
• 20:29
Speaker 4: be playing in Kanall County.
• 20:31
Speaker 3: Well, I think that's to a point, Like just to
• 20:34
Speaker 3: her point. What she's saying is like Kanall County got
• 20:37
Speaker 3: to come together first before you can just for somebody else.
• 20:41
Speaker 4: I'm with that, but we don't have that. The teams
• 20:44
Speaker 4: that are in Kanall County now that are set up,
• 20:49
Speaker 4: they don't want they don't they're not taking us.
• 20:51
Speaker 3: But that's her point, That's what I'm saying, So we
• 20:56
Speaker 3: have to That's why I'm saying we have to get
• 20:58
Speaker 3: somebody on the outside and get I get when you
• 21:02
Speaker 3: say you don't want anybody on outside telling us what
• 21:04
Speaker 3: to do, I'm saying saying that you can't do these things.
• 21:09
Speaker 4: You can't do these things and play on Kannall County.
• 21:12
  Speaker 8: See.
• 21:13
  Speaker 5: See.
• 21:13
Speaker 7: I think the complete opposite.
• 21:15
Speaker 5: I think that when you you know, you start something,
• 21:18
Speaker 5: you have bylaws. It's the simplest following the rules. I
• 21:22
Speaker 5: don't need you made micro management. I got a set
• 21:23
  Speaker 5: of bylaws.
• 21:24
Speaker 7: We're going to follow them. We can agree on them.
• 21:26
Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, we can.
• 21:27
Speaker 7: Get it figured out.
• 21:28
Speaker 8: I just had a quick question for you guys. You're
• 21:30
Speaker 8: all the little league gurus here.
• 21:32
Speaker 6: And I'm out here no man's land.
• 21:34
Speaker 8: But so I know, Courtney, you expressed concern about your
• 21:39
Speaker 8: your perceived lack of support from from the Dunbar community.
• 21:43
Speaker 8: It sounds like you don't get the level of support
• 21:45
Speaker 8: that you would like. What are other little leagues, you know,
• 21:48
Speaker 8: the ones that, for example, South Charleston do the cities
• 21:52
Speaker 8: of those little leagues that different little leagues do they.
• 21:54
Speaker 4: Support their team our city, our city.
• 21:56
Speaker 8: With finances and equipment and things that you.
• 21:59
Speaker 7: Are of Charleston his top tier.
• 22:03
Speaker 5: That man has made sure that every single little league
• 22:08
Speaker 5: in his city, basketball, baseball, football, cheer is free.
• 22:12
Speaker 7: It's no extra cost of the pearance.
• 22:14
Speaker 5: And that is they have a place to play, they
• 22:17
Speaker 5: have equipment that's up to date. The mayor of Charleston,
• 22:21
Speaker 5: she built a field over here on North Charleston for
• 22:24
Speaker 5: her team. She recognizes them even when they win a game.
• 22:28
Speaker 5: She lets them come to city Hall and gets certificates
• 22:30
Speaker 5: and stuff like that. For lack of better words, the
• 22:33
Speaker 5: mayor of Dunbar is trash. He's never been to a practice.
• 22:37
Speaker 5: I told y'all when y'all ask me to come here,
• 22:40
Speaker 5: that's gonna keep it real. He's never been to a practice,
• 22:43
Speaker 5: he's never called, he's never seen when we needed.
• 22:46
Speaker 7: We've reached out several.
• 22:47
Speaker 5: Times, you know, asking for just anything, and it's never
• 22:51
  Speaker 5: been done.
• 22:52
Speaker 3: Well, you do have your delegate, so you know, I'm
• 22:54
Speaker 3: a supporter and I you know, I do what I can.
• 22:56
Speaker 3: And like I said, and moving forward, like I said,
• 23:00
Speaker 3: if you wanted to try to facilitate that, I would
• 23:03
Speaker 3: be happy to you know, be a part of that
• 23:05
Speaker 3: and help that discussion. But like I said, the ultimately
• 23:09
Speaker 3: the reason why I would invited you on the show
• 23:12
Speaker 3: is to express the things that you've expressed, and I
• 23:14
Speaker 3: just wanted the viewers out there, if you're listening, if
• 23:17
Speaker 3: we're talking about youth sports, football, basketball, baseball, cheer gymnastics, tennis, whatever,
• 23:23
Speaker 3: it's about the kids. It's about kids having fun, it's
• 23:27
Speaker 3: about kids developing. It's not necessarily I mean, we all
• 23:30
Speaker 3: want to win, no doubt, but it ain't even about winning.
• 23:33
Speaker 3: It's about the kids. And we have to bring the
• 23:36
Speaker 3: focus back to kids. I mean, if you watch social
• 23:40
Speaker 3: media everyday, parents out of their minds at youth sports
• 23:45
Speaker 3: and it's making it a toxic environment for everybody. Ultimately,
• 23:49
Speaker 3: whether whatever whatever community were talking about, it's about kids.
• 23:54
  Speaker 3: I can't I can't even There's nothing I can say
• 23:57
  Speaker 3: that would.
• 24:00
Speaker 4: Would go against anything that you're saying.
• 24:03
Speaker 3: It's just the fact that I don't understand why we
• 24:06
Speaker 3: are not focused on it.
• 24:08
Speaker 4: Where are you looking like, well, where I don't know
• 24:12
  Speaker 4: looking Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I can't even
• 24:15
  Speaker 4: answer that.
• 24:16
Speaker 3: You do need all of those things in every community
• 24:19
Speaker 3: to fund or to support middle.
• 24:23
Speaker 4: School, high school, you got to you've got to.
• 24:26
Speaker 3: Have a system that's going to work up the up
• 24:28
  Speaker 3: the ladder and.
• 24:30
Speaker 8: And honestly, if you guys can't you know, work together
• 24:33
Speaker 8: as teams, you know, it's going to be difficult to secure,
• 24:36
Speaker 8: you know, that that type of regulation and ruling and
• 24:39
Speaker 8: financial support because you know, you guys are having to,
• 24:42
Speaker 8: you know, jump from league to league because you're being
• 24:45
Speaker 8: told one thing from one side and another from the
• 24:47
Speaker 8: other side, and so it's real difficult for you guys
• 24:50
Speaker 8: to unite because it's kind of like they've turned you
• 24:53
Speaker 8: guys against each other to a degree, you know, because
• 24:56
Speaker 8: of the rules and regulations, and so until you guys
• 24:59
  Speaker 8: can band together as a as a unit, it's it's
• 25:02
Speaker 8: going to be hard, I would think, do you agree, Courtney,
• 25:05
Speaker 8: I mean, it sounds to me that.
• 25:06
Speaker 5: Absolutely is that way. And that's why the last week
• 25:10
Speaker 5: that we were all in with Dumbar, South Charleston, Charleston,
• 25:14
Speaker 5: GW and Saint Almands disbanded. It was just because we
• 25:16
Speaker 5: did not come together internally. There should have been a conversation.
• 25:20
Speaker 5: It shouldn't have left the way it was. Unfortunately, the
• 25:23
Speaker 5: president of the league at that time didn't feel like
• 25:26
  Speaker 5: it was something.
• 25:26
Speaker 7: That he needed to disclose, but that definitely.
• 25:28
Speaker 5: Should have been a conversation. They should have come to
• 25:30
Speaker 5: the table and been like, hey, if we don't get
• 25:31
Speaker 5: it together, this league is going to be done and
• 25:34
Speaker 5: you guys are going to have to travel and do
• 25:35
Speaker 5: all this other stuff. And I guarantee you if they
• 25:38
Speaker 5: would have known what the alternative was going to be.
• 25:43
Speaker 3: So and again, so we want to leave on a
• 25:45
Speaker 3: positive note. So when does Dunbar start first games? What
• 25:48
Speaker 3: are you looking forward this season?
• 25:50
Speaker 5: The grid rama is August the ninth, and it is
• 25:52
Speaker 5: at Herbert Hoover High School. And I believe our first
• 25:56
Speaker 5: game is the seventeenth, excuse me, not October.
• 26:00
  Speaker 7: August the ninth.
• 26:02
Speaker 5: Is grid It's at Herbert Hoover High School. And then
• 26:04
Speaker 5: our first game is August the seventeenth.
• 26:07
Speaker 4: And when his first cheer cheer competition let the girls.
• 26:10
Speaker 7: Out all it is September the twentieth.
• 26:14
Speaker 3: All right, well, thank you Corney. We appreciate you coming
• 26:16
Speaker 3: on and like I said, hopefully we can get this together.
• 26:19
  Speaker 6: Thank you, Courtney.
• 26:20
Speaker 4: Switching switching conversation here.
• 26:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, going from U Sports citing NFL and so Hollingstad
• 26:28
  Speaker 3: You've got this.
• 26:30
  Speaker 4: God.
• 26:31
Speaker 3: So there was a story that recently came out about
• 26:35
Speaker 3: you know, NFL players hockeying their Super Bowl tickets. So
• 26:40
Speaker 3: I guess NFL players up around the league or maybe
• 26:43
Speaker 3: with the teams. You get a certain amount of tickets
• 26:45
Speaker 3: to the Super Bowl, and the players were selling the
• 26:50
Speaker 3: tickets above market value. So it was about one hundred
• 26:55
Speaker 3: players and coaches, because they just said they led the
• 26:57
Speaker 3: article with players, but once you read the article, it's
• 27:00
Speaker 3: players and coaches were selling their tickets above face value,
• 27:04
Speaker 3: the NFL find out. So it was I think a
• 27:06
Speaker 3: one hundred players from about fifteen twenty teams, something to
• 27:09
Speaker 3: that effect. And so the players specifically, they were offered
• 27:13
Speaker 3: either you can get a fine, which I think is
• 27:16
Speaker 3: like one and a half times the value of the
• 27:18
Speaker 3: ticket or some or what you sold it for, or
• 27:21
Speaker 3: if you don't get a fine, you will forfeit your
• 27:23
Speaker 3: Super Bowl tickets for the next two Super Bowls. So
• 27:28
Speaker 3: I'm sure you've been in this situation where you had
• 27:30
Speaker 3: I ain't say you sold tickets, but where you were
• 27:32
Speaker 3: a lot of tickets.
• 27:34
Speaker 4: So he was on the streets. So what happened so.
• 27:38
Speaker 9: So so for the folks who who don't know, like
• 27:44
Speaker 9: how we do, how we decide on topics or whatever,
• 27:47
Speaker 9: we're texting back and forth and all of that, and
• 27:50
Speaker 9: then I look up and holler send this text about.
• 27:55
Speaker 8: I did about America just kind of was like, whoa,
• 28:00
Speaker 8: this is something here, we need to talk about it.
• 28:02
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 28:02
Speaker 3: So I'm like I laughed when I when when she
• 28:06
  Speaker 3: was talking about let's let's.
• 28:07
  Speaker 4: Talk about it.
• 28:09
Speaker 3: Because at the end of the day, Okay, this is
• 28:13
Speaker 3: how I see it, and let me let me. Let
• 28:15
Speaker 3: me first admit the statute of limitation have ran. I
• 28:22
Speaker 3: am going to admit super bowls. For all of the
• 28:28
Speaker 3: super Bowls that I got tickets for if I didn't
• 28:31
Speaker 3: go to the super Bowl, which I might have gone
• 28:34
Speaker 3: to maybe two or three, maybe you know, I sold
• 28:37
Speaker 3: the rest of them. Now, now, did you sell them
• 28:41
Speaker 3: for market value or you were whatever it was going for?
• 28:48
  Speaker 4: That's a better way.
• 28:49
Speaker 3: If I if I sell my if I sell my
• 28:51
  Speaker 3: s u V today, it's got a bunch of miles
• 28:54
  Speaker 3: on it, right, so I can't get I can't get
• 28:56
Speaker 3: market value and super Bowl you might be able to
• 29:00
Speaker 3: buy sell me super Bowl tickets.
• 29:03
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 29:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, So my point was that my point, My point was.
• 29:07
Speaker 3: That the fact that I realized that my SUV can't
• 29:10
Speaker 3: be market value, you get me some up to date
• 29:14
Speaker 3: Super Bowl tickets. I do realize that they're going to
• 29:18
Speaker 3: be above the cost that's on the ticket. And so
• 29:22
Speaker 3: in most cases, players, we guys on the team would
• 29:26
  Speaker 3: buy your ticket.
• 29:28
Speaker 4: Some would be going, some might be I don't know
• 29:30
  Speaker 4: what they know.
• 29:31
Speaker 3: So you're saying, guys that's playing in the game in
• 29:34
Speaker 3: the super Bowl, the guys, your teammates, my teammates, you
• 29:38
Speaker 3: some teammates may buy them. What they do with them,
• 29:42
  Speaker 3: I don't know. But there's also a market of people
• 29:46
Speaker 3: who will who was there and around you in that
• 29:52
Speaker 3: in settings that are saying, hey, are you going to
• 29:55
  Speaker 3: the Super Bowl?
• 29:56
  Speaker 4: No?
• 29:56
Speaker 3: So they so they looking early like hey, you might
• 29:59
Speaker 3: find them in in the parties. Yet it's not like
• 30:01
Speaker 3: a dude like this is not like a football player
• 30:04
Speaker 3: out on the street trying to like sell his ticket.
• 30:06
Speaker 4: So you're getting solicited.
• 30:08
Speaker 3: People you already know when you come in, if you
• 30:11
Speaker 3: come in as a rookie, you make the team, you're
• 30:13
Speaker 3: gonna get how many every Super Bowl tickets that that
• 30:16
Speaker 3: that you're going to get from that team? You could
• 30:19
Speaker 3: The very first thing you're going to see is veteran
• 30:23
Speaker 3: players either buying or selling the tickets it's this is like,
• 30:27
Speaker 3: it's crazy because you're trying to because what it sounds
• 30:30
Speaker 3: like the way it's coming across is like this is
• 30:33
  Speaker 3: like this crazy.
• 30:35
Speaker 4: They're out there peddling. That's what it's. That's the red life.
• 30:38
  Speaker 4: No it is.
• 30:39
  Speaker 6: That's the way I read.
• 30:39
  Speaker 4: That's the way I read.
• 30:40
Speaker 3: I'm not saying guys are not doing that. I can't
• 30:43
Speaker 3: say what they're doing now. I'm saying before I would
• 30:47
Speaker 3: sell my tickets to you, and and yeah, I'm not
• 30:49
Speaker 3: gonna if the ticket was ten dollars, you're probably gonna
• 30:52
Speaker 3: pay me twenty got it?
• 30:54
  Speaker 6: Okay?
• 30:55
Speaker 8: But but but that was that rule in place. The
• 30:57
Speaker 8: rule that they got these guys with today, is that
• 31:00
Speaker 8: in place back then that they had certain regulations for
• 31:03
Speaker 8: the for the tickets.
• 31:04
Speaker 3: From the article, it looks like this was part of
• 31:06
Speaker 3: the CBA. So I don't know if this was like
• 31:09
Speaker 3: old CBA or current CBA. So they stated part of
• 31:12
Speaker 3: the CBA, you can't sell your tickets. I would say this,
• 31:16
Speaker 3: and I'll ask just in in in thought process, if
• 31:20
Speaker 3: that was something that was so bad, would management tell
• 31:24
Speaker 3: you can't sell your tickets? Don't it's part of the CBA.
• 31:28
Speaker 3: So I'm guessing players know you can't sell. But it's
• 31:32
Speaker 3: written somewhere fine print.
• 31:34
Speaker 4: But I'm just saying we it was. It was, It
• 31:36
Speaker 4: was a it was an easy.
• 31:38
Speaker 3: Thing for us, like it was automatic, like you already knew,
• 31:42
Speaker 3: like I already know the week that, the last year,
• 31:46
Speaker 3: last game. Whenever you get your whenever you get your
• 31:48
Speaker 3: Super Bowl tickets, the very first thing that you're gonna
• 31:52
  Speaker 3: hear about is.
• 31:56
Speaker 4: Who do you want to buy my tickets?
• 31:58
Speaker 8: Well, let me ask you this. I'm gonna open a
• 32:00
Speaker 8: Pandora's boxes. This just crossed my mind. So, okay, So
• 32:03
Speaker 8: when you get these tickets, yearly tickets for the Super Bowl, right,
• 32:07
Speaker 8: are you assigned a certain seat a certain section? Is
• 32:11
Speaker 8: this ticket assigned to Carl Lee? This certain seat, this
• 32:14
  Speaker 8: certain place.
• 32:15
Speaker 4: I don't know if it has my name on it,
• 32:16
  Speaker 4: but it's going to have a s.
• 32:17
Speaker 8: But but there's a paper trail that leads the ticket to use.
• 32:20
Speaker 8: What I'm saying correct, like, this is your seat.
• 32:22
Speaker 6: At the super Bowl.
• 32:23
  Speaker 4: I don't, I don't think because I don't has to be.
• 32:26
Speaker 4: It has to be.
• 32:28
  Speaker 6: So let's let's let's play Devil's advocate here.
• 32:30
Speaker 8: Let's say that you your teammates says, Hey, you know
• 32:33
Speaker 8: you got this super Bowl ticket and you go, okay, sure,
• 32:35
Speaker 8: I'll give it to you for face value. But then
• 32:36
Speaker 8: your your buddy goes out there and he sells it
• 32:40
Speaker 8: for a profit. Are you still held responsible for that
• 32:42
Speaker 8: because it's your tickets?
• 32:44
Speaker 4: You may be, But so I would.
• 32:46
Speaker 8: Be careful about who I give that super Bowl ticket to, right, Hollis.
• 32:49
Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm guessing you're responsible there.
• 32:52
Speaker 3: There has to be some paper trail allotment of numbers
• 32:55
Speaker 3: or something like these batch of tickets when this is
• 32:58
Speaker 3: this team, this one to that team, and it was
• 32:59
Speaker 3: distribute this way. I'm going to say, I'm going to
• 33:02
Speaker 3: say I'm going to go out on a limb because again,
• 33:06
Speaker 3: I think this is funny.
• 33:08
  Speaker 4: I don't. I don't see this as serious as what
• 33:11
Speaker 4: the league might see it. Because what I yes, the
• 33:16
Speaker 4: reality of who doesn't.
• 33:18
Speaker 3: My question would be if you're not if you're not
• 33:22
Speaker 3: going to the playoffs, or you're not in the playoffs,
• 33:24
Speaker 3: or you don't want to go.
• 33:25
Speaker 4: To the super Bowl, who's who's not selling the tickets?
• 33:30
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 33:30
Speaker 4: Who's not going to sell the ticket?
• 33:32
Speaker 3: And I think the point that you made at the
• 33:34
Speaker 3: on set regarding you know, like, it's not as though
• 33:38
Speaker 3: players like got these on Facebook market.
• 33:41
Speaker 4: Sales or Craigslist or something.
• 33:43
Speaker 3: They're like, if you're at dinner parties, if you're if
• 33:47
Speaker 3: you're at dinner parties, if you're at this event, that
• 33:49
Speaker 3: event is probably lawyers, c pas, doctors coming up to
• 33:53
Speaker 3: you asking you and to your point as well, this
• 33:56
Speaker 3: happens within the context of the locker room. So if somebody,
• 33:59
Speaker 3: you know, want to bring their family or their kids
• 34:01
Speaker 3: or whatever, they need a couple extray, Hey, let me
• 34:03
Speaker 3: get those tickets off. And if you're a rookie on
• 34:06
Speaker 3: a rookie deal in the NFL and I can get
• 34:09
Speaker 3: ten twenty thousand for this, I might want to take
• 34:12
Speaker 3: that because I don't know what's going to happen, you know,
• 34:15
Speaker 3: next season. And again to that's exactly how it to me.
• 34:21
  Speaker 3: And like I said, that's why I laughed when I
• 34:23
Speaker 3: was thinking, oh yeah, we can talk about that, because
• 34:26
Speaker 3: I know how casual it was.
• 34:29
Speaker 6: Here's my other question.
• 34:30
Speaker 4: Who trusted these guys?
• 34:31
Speaker 8: I mean, who went to the league and said, Hey,
• 34:33
Speaker 8: this guy charged me, you know more than face value.
• 34:36
Speaker 6: I want to report him.
• 34:37
Speaker 4: Who would do that? Now I'm going to ask I'm
• 34:39
Speaker 4: going to say this, nobody reported them. How long have
• 34:42
Speaker 4: they been knowing? And now the value's gone up.
• 34:46
Speaker 3: I think probably selling them with higher the pays higher,
• 34:51
Speaker 3: you know, the leagues, the money that the players are
• 34:53
Speaker 3: making now they you're saying.
• 34:56
Speaker 8: The people that bought the tickets from the.
• 34:58
Speaker 4: Play buy at a higher number. Yeah.
• 35:00
Speaker 3: But and I think what happens to the Facebook told
• 35:03
Speaker 3: on them? Because if you're if you're saying, like me,
• 35:06
Speaker 3: you know what I mean? If I got the tickets
• 35:08
Speaker 3: from you know, Carle, I say, hey, look super Bowl
• 35:11
Speaker 3: tickets a bottom from CARLEI not even not even meaning
• 35:13
Speaker 3: to like snitch, but you know, I'm on social media.
• 35:16
Speaker 3: So I'm sure some of that happened and it just
• 35:18
Speaker 3: got out and this is silly. I don't know.
• 35:21
  Speaker 4: I don't even think.
• 35:22
Speaker 3: I don't even think that anybody would say because whoever,
• 35:26
Speaker 3: people are definitely going to say social media they tell everything.
• 35:30
Speaker 6: Yeah, but here's the story.
• 35:32
  Speaker 4: I don't Here's what I don't think.
• 35:34
  Speaker 3: I don't think that there's that I'm going to sell
• 35:37
Speaker 3: my tickets to somebody random that I don't know, And so.
• 35:42
Speaker 4: You don't think you would know somebody you don't Some
• 35:45
  Speaker 4: of you don't.
• 35:46
Speaker 8: Casually know somebody money in their contract, guaranteed money.
• 35:52
Speaker 3: See for me, what I remember, and again it could
• 35:55
Speaker 3: be totally different now. But what I remember was my
• 35:58
Speaker 3: my tickets are gone before I even walk out the door.
• 36:01
Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
• 36:02
Speaker 3: It's happening in the locker room. You know now what
• 36:06
Speaker 3: they got there? And the dude who's gonna take those tickets?
• 36:11
Speaker 3: I know for a fact that those tickets have some
• 36:12
Speaker 3: kind of marking on it to confirm that it's it
• 36:16
  Speaker 3: was a player's ticket.
• 36:17
Speaker 4: Right, I'm gonna assume that. And at no given time
• 36:23
Speaker 4: was this an issue.
• 36:24
Speaker 3: Right Again, I think the reason it is now is
• 36:30
Speaker 3: because I think the money that they're asking for now
• 36:35
Speaker 3: is much much higher. What if I sold my tickets
• 36:39
Speaker 3: for I think I think you got four tickets, so
• 36:44
Speaker 3: each player in the league gets fortunate. I think it
• 36:46
Speaker 3: was four tickets, I think. So let's assume I got four.
• 36:49
Speaker 8: Okay, that's the whole stadium, and and and and Hollis
• 36:55
Speaker 8: is on the team, and Hollis is like, hey, brother,
• 36:57
Speaker 8: you're going to the super Bowl.
• 36:59
Speaker 4: No I'm not going. Can I buy your tickets? Yeah?
• 37:02
Speaker 4: So let's just say I just use a random number.
• 37:05
Speaker 3: Let's just say the tickets were seventy five dollars a shot,
• 37:10
Speaker 3: or let's just say a hundred.
• 37:11
Speaker 4: So you're gonna probably pay me seven or eight hundred.
• 37:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, and I'm gonna take the seven or
• 37:17
Speaker 3: eight hundred, give you the tickets, and bro, we happy,
• 37:19
  Speaker 3: everybody happy.
• 37:20
  Speaker 4: I don't know.
• 37:20
  Speaker 3: I don't think it's like I said, I don't think
• 37:22
  Speaker 3: it's a big deal, and I don't think the league
• 37:24
Speaker 3: think it's a big deal. And I would really like
• 37:26
Speaker 3: just as another point, I think when you talk about
• 37:29
Speaker 3: Super Bowl, Sporld Series, and I understand everybody wants to go,
• 37:32
Speaker 3: but I would really like to see these leagues make
• 37:35
Speaker 3: an effort to make these events more family affordable. I
• 37:40
Speaker 3: think to have tickets upwards. They said some tickets in
• 37:43
Speaker 3: Super Bowl costs ten to fifteen, twenty thousand dollars.
• 37:46
Speaker 4: That's ridiculous, man. So I don't consider this a big deal,
• 37:50
  Speaker 4: and so.
• 37:50
Speaker 3: I'm gonna fall into the gambling situation. Okay, you know
• 37:57
Speaker 3: you've got teams that are players that are now getting
• 38:00
Speaker 3: caught and proven that they are they.
• 38:04
Speaker 6: Are the Major League, Baseball.
• 38:07
Speaker 4: Baseball, football, any sport.
• 38:11
Speaker 8: Really, the most recent incidents that was Major League Baseball, correct,
• 38:15
Speaker 8: just this past week.
• 38:16
Speaker 3: Yes, Now, when you start to think about, like the
• 38:24
Speaker 3: NFL tells you that you can you cannot gamble, you
• 38:26
  Speaker 3: cannot bet.
• 38:28
Speaker 4: How many how many commercials.
• 38:32
Speaker 3: Are about betting gambling, But here here you're making money.
• 38:39
Speaker 3: You're making money on the gamblers, gambling selling all of these,
• 38:44
Speaker 3: all these are your commercials, and you're gonna tell me
• 38:47
  Speaker 3: I can't go.
• 38:48
Speaker 8: Well, it's the same as the alcohol commercials that they
• 38:51
  Speaker 8: played during games.
• 38:53
Speaker 6: That doesn't mean you can go out and get a.
• 38:54
  Speaker 3: D u I.
• 38:55
Speaker 8: I mean, you know that there's rules in place and
• 38:58
Speaker 8: the average My problem with all of it is I
• 39:03
Speaker 8: think that they need to make sure the rules. There's
• 39:08
Speaker 8: obviously a problem with gambling. I mean, I think now
• 39:11
Speaker 8: that it's become more commonplace for you know, the average
• 39:15
Speaker 8: person to be able to go out and you pick
• 39:17
Speaker 8: your phone up and you can gamble. You don't have
• 39:18
Speaker 8: to go to the casino. That's the problem. It's it's
• 39:20
Speaker 8: too accessible, it's too easy, and it's it's you know,
• 39:24
Speaker 8: these players are just sucked in by these you know,
• 39:27
Speaker 8: these easy bets. They can get on you know, DraftKings
• 39:30
Speaker 8: or whatever, or have their buddy do it.
• 39:32
Speaker 3: And if you, if you, if you, here's the thing.
• 39:34
Speaker 3: If you catch a guy who is you know he's
• 39:40
Speaker 3: helping himself through the gambling situation, you know he you know,
• 39:44
Speaker 3: he knows what the spread is, he knows all this,
• 39:46
Speaker 3: and he has a way to try to do that,
• 39:50
Speaker 3: which I don't think is possible.
• 39:53
  Speaker 4: I think it's proven that it's it's not impossible.
• 39:58
Speaker 3: If everybody on the whole old team has to know
• 40:01
Speaker 3: because somebody's trying to play, So somebody's trying to play
• 40:04
Speaker 3: to win. Somebody is not trying to get a spread.
• 40:08
Speaker 3: So I don't even see how that's even an issue.
• 40:12
Speaker 3: So if i'm if i'm if I'm betting on my team,
• 40:17
Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's okay, we win, I make money, Okay.
• 40:25
Speaker 3: What here's the problem. The problem is that when you
• 40:28
Speaker 3: talk about gambling and Talsa's point, let me say this
• 40:30
Speaker 3: before you go on. I don't gamble at all. I've
• 40:33
Speaker 3: never I went the biggest different even. But the problem
• 40:36
Speaker 3: is is not gambling within the context of your generation
• 40:39
Speaker 3: is not what it is in this generation, this generation
• 40:42
Speaker 3: of young particularly young men, where the athlete non athlete,
• 40:46
Speaker 3: they're picking up their phones and they're getting the same
• 40:49
Speaker 3: dopamine hit that they would do as though they're using drugs.
• 40:52
Speaker 3: And the problem with the state of gambling, to Lisa's
• 40:55
Speaker 3: point where or to your point where it's just everywhere,
• 40:59
Speaker 3: is that it's become a cultural thing within the context
• 41:03
Speaker 3: of young men, particularly in young women. So I don't know,
• 41:07
Speaker 3: and I don't have a good answer in that, how
• 41:11
Speaker 3: that you police gambling out of sports where you're already
• 41:15
Speaker 3: hyper competitive, where you're already you're used to those dopamine
• 41:19
Speaker 3: hits at all levels, and now gambling can be added
• 41:23
Speaker 3: to that. So I'm not sure when you have the
• 41:26
Speaker 3: accessibility of a phone, how you adequately police it out
• 41:30
Speaker 3: of it. So I'm not saying that they should be
• 41:32
Speaker 3: allotted to do it, but I'm just not sure how
• 41:36
Speaker 3: you eradicate it. Don't promote something that you don't want
• 41:39
Speaker 3: your players to do one hundred percent.
• 41:41
  Speaker 4: And that's I can agree.
• 41:43
Speaker 8: With your money in that that they're not gonna they're
• 41:45
Speaker 8: not gonna do that. I mean, it is embedded in ESPN,
• 41:48
  Speaker 8: it's embedded.
• 41:48
Speaker 4: In sports, and it's embedded in the culture.
• 41:50
Speaker 6: It's embedded in the culture.
• 41:51
Speaker 4: You're right, but how much money?
• 41:53
Speaker 3: Again, the question becomes is is promoting gambling promoting alcohol?
• 41:59
Speaker 4: Is that? Do you need that to have to make
• 42:02
Speaker 4: the money that you need? Yeah, and you could drop
• 42:05
Speaker 4: those probably you could drop those two things. You could
• 42:07
Speaker 4: drop those two things. And I think that you could.
• 42:09
Speaker 3: Go but to and I agree with you Coach that
• 42:12
Speaker 3: you cannot you you cannot say you cannot promote it.
• 42:15
Speaker 3: I mean it's ESPN has their own book. ESPN has
• 42:20
Speaker 3: their own Gamblely book. So you can't promote it to
• 42:23
Speaker 3: that level and then tell people not to do it.
• 42:25
Speaker 8: That's kind of and then to your point about alcohol,
• 42:28
Speaker 8: here we are we're just ganging up on Carlton have
• 42:31
  Speaker 8: to go.
• 42:32
Speaker 3: I'm in agreement with that. I'm in agreement with He's right.
• 42:35
Speaker 3: You can't promote it and then tell people not that
• 42:37
Speaker 3: you can do it.
• 42:37
Speaker 8: Okay, yeah, okay, But but you said could they get
• 42:40
Speaker 8: away completely from the advertising or did I hear that wrong?
• 42:43
Speaker 6: Are you saying they.
• 42:44
Speaker 4: Should be saying they should dump it?
• 42:46
  Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying.
• 42:47
Speaker 8: So what is the Super Bowl commercials without the Budweiser Clydesdale.
• 42:50
Speaker 4: So we have or Taco Bell, right, I mean people people.
• 42:57
Speaker 6: Talk about that, and that's related to ocohol.
• 43:00
  Speaker 4: So I get that. I don't. I'm not. I'm not
• 43:04
  Speaker 4: saying that that's.
• 43:05
Speaker 6: That's not going away.
• 43:06
  Speaker 4: That's what I want. I don't think it's gonna go
• 43:07
Speaker 4: away either. They can.
• 43:08
  Speaker 2: They can.
• 43:09
Speaker 3: They can talk about the players all they want, but
• 43:12
Speaker 3: you know that they're not gonna because they're not gonna
• 43:14
Speaker 3: give up the money. The organizations, the professional organizations in
• 43:19
Speaker 3: sports care about them. The players are secondary and every
• 43:26
Speaker 3: time that a player, there's an opportunity for players to
• 43:29
Speaker 3: to do something. You know, Let's just again, if I'm
• 43:33
Speaker 3: gambling and you're thinking I'm making money, how dare me
• 43:36
Speaker 3: do that when I'm gonna shoot every other commercial alcohol?
• 43:42
Speaker 3: I agree with you on that, man. And if you
• 43:45
Speaker 3: have a gambling problem called one gambling, well, I'm gonna
• 43:53
Speaker 3: we're gonna have to bring this back up because because
• 43:56
Speaker 3: we're gonna have to come back.
• 43:57
Speaker 6: I'm myself and my I like it that way.
• 44:00
Speaker 3: It's okay, guys, All right, well, ladies and gentlemen, we
• 44:03
Speaker 3: will take a quick break and we'll be right back.

• 45:23
Speaker 2: real results. Frank walker law dot com. Let that conversation
• 45:27
Speaker 2: begin on let's talk all.
• 45:29
Speaker 4: Right, ladies and gentlemen, we're back.
• 45:31
Speaker 3: Hollis is gonna try to create another issue. Yeah, so
• 45:35
Speaker 3: it's gonna be fun It's a little barbershop.
• 45:37
Speaker 4: It's gonna be funny.
• 45:38
  Speaker 3: So there's been a lot, there's been a lot of
• 45:40
Speaker 3: discussion about whether Jalen Hurts, super Bowl winning quarterback for
• 45:45
Speaker 3: the Philadelphia Eagles, is a top ten quarterback. And I
• 45:50
Speaker 3: find the discussion ridiculous, right because he's certainly in today's
• 45:55
Speaker 3: this year, you know, moving into this season, he's certainly
• 45:57
Speaker 3: a top ten quarterback to me. So I want you
• 46:01
Speaker 3: guys opinion. And these are the quarterbacks that kind of
• 46:04
Speaker 3: people are considering. Of course, you got Lamar Jackson, you
• 46:06
Speaker 3: got Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jalen Daniels, you got Joe Burrow,
• 46:11
Speaker 3: Baker Mayfield, Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, Jordan Love.
• 46:16
Speaker 3: So within those do we feel like and I would
• 46:19
Speaker 3: say Jayalen Hurts is a top three quarterback within those?
• 46:22
Speaker 4: So what do you guys think?
• 46:26
Speaker 3: I don't know how you don't you know, you got
• 46:30
Speaker 3: to look at super bowls. You gotta get there and
• 46:32
Speaker 3: you gotta win them.
• 46:33
Speaker 6: He's done that, Patrick, I know, but I'm just.
• 46:35
Speaker 3: Saying I get that. I'm just saying to me, I'm
• 46:38
Speaker 3: a Patrick Mahomes. Well, he's number one. He's off the list,
• 46:41
Speaker 3: so we don't need to discuss him. I mean, if
• 46:43
Speaker 3: he ain't number one, so he's off the board, I
• 46:46
Speaker 3: think we all agree he's number one. Move on, all right,
• 46:50
Speaker 3: I'll go. I'll go with Lamar Jackson, like, okay, number two. Yeah,
• 46:55
Speaker 3: I got number two?
• 46:56
Speaker 6: What you got I would get, I would go. I
• 46:59
Speaker 6: don't understand why Jalen's not on the list.
• 47:01
  Speaker 4: I'm still I don't understand.
• 47:03
Speaker 8: I mean, I'm looking at all these qualifications of a
• 47:05
Speaker 8: of a goat quarterback and he's not He's not quite
• 47:08
  Speaker 8: the threshold, but.
• 47:09
  Speaker 6: He's getting there.
• 47:10
Speaker 8: He's getting there, and I don't understand how he could
• 47:13
Speaker 8: not be a part of the top ten. I mean,
• 47:16
  Speaker 8: I'm a I'm a Packer fan, and I'm kind of
• 47:19
Speaker 8: amazed at George love is. I'm going to ignore that
• 47:22
Speaker 8: statement for coming from a Viking player. I'm amazed that
• 47:27
Speaker 8: Jordan Love considering his accomplishments over the years, and I
• 47:31
Speaker 8: think if they've been in the league about the same
• 47:33
Speaker 8: moment he rank above Jalen.
• 47:36
Speaker 3: I mean in some people's list, he does. I mean,
• 47:38
Speaker 3: like I said this, and this originated from Cam Newton.
• 47:42
Speaker 3: He's on his podcast and he was having a discussion,
• 47:44
Speaker 3: and you know, it's that time of season, everybody's sort
• 47:46
Speaker 3: of ranking their quarterbacks there.
• 47:48
Speaker 4: And yeah, in the jersey's over the button up switch.
• 47:51
Speaker 3: I don't know, but he's basically, but basically he said
• 47:54
Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts was not in his top ten. And we're
• 47:57
Speaker 3: talking about just current quarterbacks. And I'm astounded because when
• 47:59
Speaker 3: you look at what we look at, what's a good quarterback? Right,
• 48:03
Speaker 3: A good quarterback is going to number one. You gotta win,
• 48:06
Speaker 3: and you gotta win super Bowls. He's been to one
• 48:08
Speaker 3: super Bowl and and here's the point. In both super
• 48:12
Speaker 3: Bowls that he went to, although he's won and one
• 48:14
Speaker 3: he out played Patrick Mahome. Yeah both, Yeah, unfortunately he
• 48:19
Speaker 3: paid out. He clearly out played him in both games.
• 48:21
Speaker 3: And a lot of times what people are doing, they're saying, well,
• 48:24
Speaker 3: he has a superior team defense on line, different things
• 48:27
  Speaker 3: like that.
• 48:27
Speaker 4: But you name me somebody who didn't win with the
• 48:30
  Speaker 4: superior team.
• 48:31
Speaker 3: And last point, and a lot of good A lot
• 48:33
Speaker 3: of quarterbacks can mess up that team too, you know,
• 48:36
Speaker 3: So it's not it's not a given just because you
• 48:37
Speaker 3: got a good players around him.
• 48:39
Speaker 8: He doesn't come across to me as a diva at
• 48:40
Speaker 8: all either, Like I feel like he's a team player.
• 48:42
Speaker 8: I mean, look at the push, you know, the guys
• 48:45
Speaker 8: is out there to win. I mean he's he's not
• 48:48
Speaker 8: all about himself. So to me, that that was a
• 48:50
Speaker 8: that was a faux Paul. He should have been in
• 48:53
  Speaker 8: there somewhere.
• 48:54
Speaker 3: I gotta my my only the only question that I have.
• 48:57
Speaker 3: Oh maybe it's two h Prescott.
• 49:04
Speaker 4: You hate that Prescott with everything? Yes, you do. Don't
• 49:10
  Speaker 4: you Hatecott? I just I just don't. I don't. I
• 49:14
  Speaker 4: don't see him.
• 49:16
Speaker 3: Don't you get a subjective So I don't really see him.
• 49:20
  Speaker 3: I see him being a great player. What I don't
• 49:24
Speaker 3: see is I don't see him being a great leader.
• 49:27
  Speaker 4: That's that that.
• 49:28
  Speaker 8: That's because he can't be a great leader because he's
• 49:31
Speaker 8: got Jerry James quarterback.
• 49:34
  Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean.
• 49:38
Speaker 3: Part of it, that part of it, I'm gonna. I'm
• 49:41
  Speaker 3: gonna Baker Mayfield.
• 49:43
Speaker 4: That's crazy to know. How do you have Baker Mayfield?
• 49:48
  Speaker 4: I don't understand that.
• 49:49
  Speaker 3: I don't know who's behind him, that he he's not.
• 49:56
Speaker 4: He's not in this list. He's not. And I love
• 49:59
Speaker 4: Baker Mayfield, but he's not. He's not. He's not on
• 50:01
  Speaker 4: that list.
• 50:02
  Speaker 6: He's not.
• 50:03
  Speaker 4: He's not.
• 50:04
Speaker 3: And I again, I don't know how you And then
• 50:06
Speaker 3: so let me ask you.
• 50:07
Speaker 6: He's not even a dual threat type.
• 50:10
Speaker 3: He can move a little bit. I like berkha mouth can.
• 50:12
Speaker 3: He can move, but he's not gonna wave you. Yeah, okay,
• 50:15
Speaker 3: if he's gonna throw you some pits. Okay, So here's
• 50:17
Speaker 3: what you gotta learn. Okay, I'm getting to teach you.
• 50:19
Speaker 3: So go ahead, you can teach me. Try to anyway
• 50:24
Speaker 3: in today's game when you have to say okay, but yeah,
• 50:29
Speaker 3: but he can kind of do something else, and that's yeah, okay,
• 50:34
Speaker 3: but let me let me let me ask you this.
• 50:36
Speaker 4: Let me ask you.
• 50:36
Speaker 3: This is Joe Burrow. Should he be considered top five?
• 50:40
Speaker 3: We could say he's top ten, but because he's missed
• 50:42
Speaker 3: the playoff, I think the last two years he put
• 50:44
Speaker 3: up amazing stats. But what somebody pointed out was that, yeah,
• 50:48
Speaker 3: those stats were good because a lot of time was
• 50:50
Speaker 3: spent coming back. So you have to pass in order
• 50:52
Speaker 3: to try to catch up. So is he and he
• 50:55
Speaker 3: he made the Super Bowl one year, So is he
• 50:57
  Speaker 3: on this list?
• 50:58
Speaker 4: Again? My question, my question will go in a different.
• 51:03
Speaker 3: See that's what he does. He take a question and yeah,
• 51:05
Speaker 3: he asked his own question. You should be a politician.
• 51:10
Speaker 3: I want to I want to figure out again, I'm
• 51:13
Speaker 3: looking at when I'm thinking quarterback, I'm the guy sitting
• 51:16
Speaker 3: on the sideline because I'm on defense now, so and
• 51:18
Speaker 3: I'm watching my quarterback.
• 51:20
Speaker 4: He's got to be the leader, Like, he's got to
• 51:22
  Speaker 4: be a.
• 51:22
Speaker 3: Dude who is like yelling and screaming and telling dudes
• 51:26
Speaker 3: what to do and they gonna do it.
• 51:28
  Speaker 4: I don't like.
• 51:29
Speaker 6: You don't see Joe Burrow doing that.
• 51:32
  Speaker 4: I don't know. I like, I like like, I like him.
• 51:38
Speaker 3: I don't have anything against him. I just think he
• 51:40
Speaker 3: plays that list. I'm looking at a list of guys
• 51:43
Speaker 3: who I think are super talented, great quarterbacks, dual threats.
• 51:50
  Speaker 3: But I don't know, I don't know if is there
• 51:53
Speaker 3: anybody really like on this list. When I'm going back
• 51:55
Speaker 3: to Patrick Mahomes, who I think is a true straight
• 51:58
Speaker 3: up leader. But I think you got leaders on here.
• 52:01
Speaker 3: But I don't think you can mistake leadership for talent.
• 52:04
Speaker 3: I think Patrick Mahomes is a once in a generation talent.
• 52:09
  Speaker 4: He's give that.
• 52:10
Speaker 3: Talent wise, he's the best quarterback I've ever seen. Talent wise,
• 52:14
Speaker 3: I think the thing that hurts or separates like a
• 52:16
Speaker 3: Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts is Unfortunately Joe Burrow plays
• 52:20
Speaker 3: for a terrible franchise who makes terrible decisions consistently, where
• 52:25
Speaker 3: the Philadelphia Eagles they are a much better rand fanchise.
• 52:28
Speaker 3: So that's why talent wise, I was still having more there.
• 52:32
  Speaker 3: But I don't think I think he's and this is
• 52:34
Speaker 3: just my prediction. I think eventually he'll have to get
• 52:36
Speaker 3: traded in order to really go to the next level
• 52:39
Speaker 3: because Cincinnati Bingles are terrible franchise. To that conversation you
• 52:44
Speaker 3: just had, like I'm going to go Somebody's not on
• 52:47
Speaker 3: the list and somebody who I played with, Tommy crameer. Okay,
• 52:51
Speaker 3: Tommy Kramer had a major drinking issue and all of those.
• 52:55
  Speaker 4: Kind of things.
• 52:58
Speaker 3: His skill set was it necessarily great throws, he was,
• 53:03
Speaker 3: he was a he was a good guy to he can.
• 53:06
Speaker 4: Move around enough. But Brian a leader.
• 53:13
Speaker 3: When you start talking about and see, and I think
• 53:16
Speaker 3: when I think about quarterback, I'm thinking about like I
• 53:19
Speaker 3: think the first thing.
• 53:19
Speaker 4: Comes to my mind is Tommy Kramer, because you ain't.
• 53:24
Speaker 3: You ain't getting away with anything like he'll come cuss
• 53:26
Speaker 3: you out face to face and you ain't and you
• 53:29
Speaker 3: ain't throwing no blows, like you ain't gonna.
• 53:31
Speaker 4: Be like you ain't talking to me that way. Yes
• 53:34
Speaker 4: he is. I think it's different leaders though. I think
• 53:36
  Speaker 4: that's just a leadership style.
• 53:38
Speaker 3: Well and but but again when I look at that,
• 53:43
Speaker 3: and I say, Okay, that leadership style has a has
• 53:46
Speaker 3: a has a place can put you over just skill set.
• 53:50
Speaker 3: You know, skill set is great.
• 53:53
Speaker 6: I think you have both.
• 53:54
Speaker 8: I mean you have to have skill set and leadership skills.
• 53:56
Speaker 8: I mean otherwise you're not going to be one of
• 53:58
Speaker 8: the great ones because I think Eli man.
• 54:00
Speaker 3: Right right, Yeah, And you're looking at some of these
• 54:03
Speaker 3: guys who didn't have the athletic ability to run the ball,
• 54:07
Speaker 3: so they're not really quote a dual threat. But what
• 54:09
Speaker 3: they brought in the pocket, how they handled themselves, how
• 54:13
Speaker 3: they handled their team, that's the key.
• 54:15
Speaker 4: How does that quarterback handle that his teams. That's a
• 54:18
  Speaker 4: good point.
• 54:18
  Speaker 6: That's a good point.
• 54:19
Speaker 8: Let me ask you this then, if these are all
• 54:20
Speaker 8: these are all active quarterbacks in them. Okay, So so
• 54:24
  Speaker 8: where's Aaron Rodgers?
• 54:27
Speaker 4: Stop? All right, that's a good show. Thank you for listening.
• 54:32
Speaker 3: And Lord, but before we go, give me give me
• 54:42
Speaker 3: your top five, top five, top five my Homes Jackson,
• 54:52
Speaker 3: uh Burrol, Okay, Hurts, I think that's five.
• 55:03
Speaker 4: Okay, what you got.
• 55:04
Speaker 8: Oh, let's see, I'm gonna have to Jalen Hurts. I'm
• 55:08
Speaker 8: gonna put it. He's already on here. Okay, Jalen Hurts
• 55:10
Speaker 8: is one. Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes of course, Lamar Jackson
• 55:15
Speaker 8: for sure, and Josh Allen.
• 55:16
Speaker 3: Okay, I would go, of course, Patrick Mahomes, I'm going, uh,
• 55:21
Speaker 3: Jayalen Hurts, I'm going to Lamar Jackson, I would go
• 55:25
Speaker 3: Josh Allen, and I would go Jayden Daniels.
• 55:29
Speaker 4: You see, you can also throw C. J.
• 55:30
Speaker 3: Stroud on there. I mean, it's some arguments for that. Yeah.
• 55:35
Speaker 3: All right, Well that was a good fight.
• 55:39
  Speaker 4: The ring.
• 55:41
Speaker 3: All right, ladies and gentlemen, we hope you enjoyed the show,
• 55:43
Speaker 3: and we will be back next week.
