1:00
Now
1:01
the
1:01
next
1:01
one
1:01
here
1:01
is
1:01
going
1:01
to
1:01
be
1:02
surprising
1:02
for
1:02
some
1:02
people.
1:03
You
1:03
might
1:04
be
1:04
shocked.
1:05
Using
1:06
those
1:06
plug
1:06
in
1:06
style
1:07
or
1:07
even
1:07
spray
1:08
air
1:08
fresheners
1:09
can
1:10
be
1:10
just
1:10
like
1:10
vapor
1:11
vaping
1:11
in
1:11
your
1:11
own
1:12
home.
1:12
I
1:13
know
1:13
people
1:13
that
1:13
have
1:14
a
1:14
bunch
1:14
of
1:14
those.
1:15
Plug
1:15
them
1:15
into
1:15
the
1:16
outlet
1:16
oil
1:17
air
1:17
fresheners
1:17
out
1:18
there.
1:18
If
1:19
you
1:19
look
1:19
at
1:19
the
1:19
liquid
1:19
in
1:20
there,
1:20
you're
1:20
just
1:20
vaping.
1:21
You're
1:21
breathing
1:22
that
1:22
stuff
1:22
in.
1:23
It's
1:23
not
1:23
healthy.
1:25
You're
1:25
better
1:25
to
1:25
deal
1:26
with
1:26
the
1:26
issue
1:26
of
1:27
the
1:27
smell,
1:28
do
1:28
ventilation
1:30
capturing,
1:30
whatever
1:31
that
1:31
is.
1:31
So
1:31
grab
1:32
your
1:32
toolbox,
1:32
put
1:33
on
1:33
your
1:33
thinking
1:33
cap
1:34
and
1:34
let's
1:34
get
1:35
to
1:35
work
1:36
right
1:36
here
1:36
on

I've
1:55
got
1:55
their
1:55
brand
1:56
new
1:56
omniseries
1:57
grill,
1:57
the
1:57
405
1:59
been
1:59
cooking
1:59
on
2:00
a
2:00
little
2:00
bit.
2:00
I
2:00
love
2:01
this
2:01
thing.
2:01
As
2:02
far
2:02
as
2:02
a
2:02
portable
2:03
grill
2:03
that
2:04
runs
2:04
on
2:04
propane
2:06
that
2:06
is
2:06
good
2:07
for
2:07
a
2:07
tight
2:07
space,
2:08
this
2:08
is
2:09
an
2:09
amazing
2:09
grill.
2:10
It
2:10
is
2:10
your
2:10
average
2:11
sized
2:11
barbecue.
2:12
Four
2:12
huge
2:12
burners.
2:13
It's
2:13
got
2:13
a
2:13
side
2:14
searing
2:15
burner
2:15
on
2:15
it.
2:16
It's
2:16
got
2:16
all
2:16
the
2:16
temperature
2:17
control
2:17
on
2:17
the
2:18
inside.
2:18
So
2:18
it's
2:18
like
2:18
running
2:19
an
2:19
oven.
2:19
You
2:19
can
2:19
set
2:19
that
2:20
dial
2:20
and
2:20
if
2:21
you
2:21
want
2:21
to
2:21
be
2:21
cooking
2:21
at
2:22
400
2:22
degrees,
2:22
you
2:22
cook
2:23
at
2:23
400
2:23
degrees.
2:23
If
2:24
you
2:24
want
2:24
to
2:24
cook
2:24
at
2:24
700
2:25
degrees
2:25
and
2:25
throw
2:26
a
2:26
pizza
2:26
on
2:26
it,
2:27
you
2:27
can
2:27
do
2:27
that
2:27
as
2:28
well.

2:31
now
2:32
today
2:32
we're
2:32
going
2:32
to
2:32
be
2:32
talking
2:33
about
2:33
my
2:33
top
2:33
10
2:34
things
2:34
that
2:34
cause
2:34
bad
2:35
indoor
2:35
air
2:35
quality
2:36
in
2:36
your
2:36
home.
2:36
If
2:36
your
2:37
allergies
2:37
bugging
2:38
you,
2:38
if
2:39
right
2:39
now
2:39
you're
2:39
like
2:40
man,
2:40
this
2:40
allergy
2:41
season
2:41
is
2:41
bad
2:42
or
2:42
why
2:43
are
2:43
my
2:43
allergies
2:44
so
2:44
bad?
2:44
Or
2:44
why
2:44
am
2:45
I
2:45
stuffy
2:45
when
2:45
I
2:45
wake
2:46
up
2:46
in
2:46
the
2:46
morning?
2:46
This
2:47
could
2:47
be
2:48
the
2:48
reasons
2:49
why
2:49
this
2:49
is
2:50
happening.
2:50
And
2:51
this
2:51
is
2:51
something
2:51
that
2:51
air
2:52
quality
2:52
testing
2:52
in
2:52
your
2:52
house
2:53
is
2:53
really
2:53
simple.
2:53
If
2:54
you
2:54
want
2:54
to
2:54
find
2:54
out
2:54
more,
2:55
all
2:55
you
2:55
do
2:55
is
2:55
jump
2:55
on
2:56
Amazon,
2:56
spend
2:56
a
2:56
hundred
2:57
bucks
2:57
or
2:58
you
2:58
can
2:58
spend
2:58
a
2:58
little
2:58
bit
2:59
more
2:59
money.
2:59
But
2:59
you
2:59
get
3:00
a
3:00
good
3:00
indoor
3:00
air
3:01
quality
3:01
meter,
3:01
it's
3:02
going
3:02
to
3:02
tell
3:02
you
3:02
all
3:02
the
3:03
different
3:03
things
3:03
going
3:04
on
3:04
and
3:05
the
3:05
important
3:05
ones
3:06
as
3:06
well
3:06
that
3:06
we're
3:06
not
3:06
going
3:07
to
3:07
talk
3:07
about
3:07
here,
3:07
like
3:08
carbon
3:08
monoxide.
3:09
That
3:09
is
3:10
one
3:10
that
3:10
you
3:11
should
3:11
be
3:11
testing.
3:13
That
3:13
is
3:13
probably
3:13
the
3:14
most
3:14
important
3:14
out
3:14
of
3:15
all
3:15
of
3:15
these,
3:16
that
3:16
carbon
3:17
monoxide
3:17
detectors
3:18
are
3:18
okay
3:18
in
3:18
your
3:18
house.
3:19
They
3:19
are
3:19
smart.
3:19
You
3:20
should
3:20
have
3:20
one
3:21
if
3:22
you've
3:22
got
3:22
an
3:22
attached
3:23
garage
3:24
and
3:24
all
3:24
electric
3:25
appliances.
3:26
I
3:26
would
3:26
have
3:26
a
3:26
couple
3:27
in
3:27
your
3:27
home
3:27
just
3:27
in
3:27
case
3:28
all
3:28
it
3:28
takes
3:29
is
3:29
somebody's
3:30
car
3:30
to
3:30
remote
3:30
start
3:31
in
3:31
the
3:31
garage,
3:31
and
3:31
you
3:32
could
3:32
have
3:32
a
3:32
big
3:32
issue
3:33
there.
3:33
So
3:34
just
3:34
make
3:34
sure
3:35
that
3:35
you've
3:36
got
3:36
those
3:36
in
3:36
your
3:36
house.
3:37
Now,
3:37
that's
3:37
not
3:37
where
3:38
you
3:38
start.
3:39
When
3:39
you're
3:39
starting
3:40
about
3:40
this,
3:40
you
3:40
want
3:40
to
3:41
have
3:41
some
3:41
other
3:41
sensors
3:42
in
3:42
there
3:42
as
3:42
well,
3:42
because
3:43
when
3:43
those
3:43
go
3:44
off,
3:44
you're
3:45
in
3:45
danger.
3:46
But
3:46
it's
3:46
that
3:46
little
3:47
stuff
3:47
that
3:47
can
3:48
really
3:48
cause
3:48
health
3:48
hazards
3:49
as
3:49
well.
3:50
So
3:50
you
3:50
don't
3:50
want
3:50
to
3:51
have
3:51
really
3:51
any
3:51
in
3:51
your
3:51
house.
3:52
And
3:52
if
3:52
you
3:52
got
3:52
gas
3:53
appliances,
3:53
you
3:53
just
3:54
want
3:54
to
3:54
make
3:54
sure
3:54
that
3:54
it's
3:55
working
3:55
well
3:56
and
3:56
your
3:56
ventilation
3:56
is
3:57
working
3:57
correctly.
3:57
So
3:58
that
3:58
is
3:58
the
3:58
number
3:59
one
3:59
here.
4:00
That
4:00
way
4:00
we
4:00
can
4:00
get
4:01
that
4:01
dialed
4:01
in
4:02
correctly.
4:03
That
4:03
sounds
4:03
like
4:04
a
4:04
good
4:04
plan
4:04
to
4:04
me.
4:05
All
4:05
right,
4:05
guys.
4:06
So
4:06
the
4:06
number
4:06
one
4:07
here
4:07
outside
4:07
of
4:08
carbon
4:08
monoxide,
4:08
and
4:08
that's.
4:09
I
4:09
want
4:09
to
4:09
put
4:09
that
4:09
one
4:09
up
4:10
there,
4:10
is
4:10
just
4:10
everyone
4:11
should
4:11
be
4:12
paying
4:12
attention
4:12
to
4:13
that.
4:13
And
4:14
those
4:14
sensors,
4:14
if
4:15
you've
4:15
got
4:15
old
4:15
ones,
4:15
time
4:16
to
4:16
replace
4:17
and
4:17
make
4:17
sure
4:17
you
4:17
get
4:17
something
4:18
with
4:18
good
4:18
reviews.
4:19
That
4:19
is
4:19
a
4:19
good
4:19
brand
4:20
out
4:20
there.
4:21
I
4:21
like
4:21
the
4:22
ones
4:22
that
4:22
are
4:22
smart.
4:22
So
4:22
it'll
4:23
tell
4:23
you
4:23
on
4:23
your
4:23
phone
4:23
if
4:24
you're
4:24
having
4:24
an
4:24
issue
4:25
and
4:25
you
4:25
could
4:25
actually
4:25
look
4:26
at
4:26
it
4:26
and
4:26
monitor
4:26
it.
4:27
That's
4:27
always
4:27
a
4:28
good
4:28
plan.
4:29
So
4:29
the
4:29
number
4:30
one
4:30
here
4:30
in
4:31
the
4:31
house,
4:31
it
4:31
affects
4:32
about
4:32
80%
4:33
of
4:33
the
4:33
homes
4:34
across
4:34
the
4:34
United
4:34
States,
4:36
is
4:37
high
4:37
humidity.
4:38
You
4:39
want
4:39
to
4:39
be
4:39
running
4:39
your
4:39
house
4:40
from
4:40
that
4:40
30
4:40
to
4:41
50%
4:42
as
4:42
far
4:42
as
4:42
humidity
4:43
in
4:43
there.
4:43
And
4:43
you
4:44
should
4:44
be
4:44
monitoring
4:45
that
4:45
in
4:45
a
4:46
lot
4:46
of
4:46
different
4:46
areas.
4:47
If
4:47
you
4:47
have
4:47
a
4:47
basement,
4:48
I
4:48
want
4:48
to
4:48
see
4:48
a
4:48
couple
4:49
monitors
4:49
down
4:49
there.
4:50
If
4:50
you're
4:51
upstairs,
4:51
one
4:52
closer
4:52
to
4:52
the
4:52
bathroom,
4:53
one
4:53
close
4:53
to
4:53
the
4:53
kitchen.
4:54
Bedrooms
4:55
is
4:55
a
4:55
good
4:55
idea.
4:56
Have
4:56
some
4:57
monitors
4:57
around
4:57
so
4:58
you
4:58
can
4:58
see
4:58
what's
4:58
going
4:59
on,
5:00
because
5:00
many
5:00
times
5:00
in
5:01
a
5:01
basement,
5:01
that's
5:02
probably
5:02
going
5:03
to
5:03
be
5:03
the
5:03
highest
5:03
humidity
5:04
area.
5:04
And
5:05
then
5:05
of
5:05
course,
5:05
near
5:05
the
5:06
bathrooms
5:06
where
5:06
steam
5:06
and
5:07
stuff
5:07
is
5:07
created
5:08
and
5:08
depending
5:08
on
5:09
the
5:09
airflow
5:09
in
5:09
your
5:09
house.
5:10
Now
5:10
where
5:10
it
5:11
gets
5:11
tougher
5:11
is
5:11
if
5:11
you
5:11
have,
5:12
like
5:12
electric
5:12
baseboard
5:13
heat
5:13
and
5:14
no
5:14
real
5:14
way
5:14
to
5:15
Centralize
5:16
moving
5:17
that
5:17
air
5:17
around.
5:18
Once
5:18
you
5:19
get
5:19
above
5:19
50%
5:21
and
5:21
above
5:21
60%,
5:23
you
5:23
are
5:23
now
5:23
in
5:24
the
5:24
area
5:24
of
5:24
mold
5:25
growth.
5:25
Mold
5:26
growth
5:26
can
5:26
lead
5:27
to
5:27
dust
5:27
mites.
5:28
It
5:28
can
5:28
lead
5:28
to
5:28
a
5:29
ton
5:29
of
5:29
other
5:29
health
5:30
hazards.
5:31
And
5:31
so
5:31
you
5:31
want
5:31
to
5:31
figure
5:32
out
5:32
what's
5:32
going
5:32
on.
5:33
Now,
5:34
if
5:34
you're
5:34
keeping
5:34
under,
5:35
that
5:35
means
5:35
you've
5:35
got
5:36
the
5:36
chance
5:36
of
5:37
mold
5:37
is
5:37
going
5:37
to
5:37
be
5:37
more
5:38
localized
5:38
versus
5:39
on
5:39
every
5:39
surface.
5:40
So
5:41
these
5:41
are
5:41
things
5:41
you
5:41
want
5:41
to
5:41
take
5:42
a
5:42
look
5:42
for
5:42
and
5:43
try
5:43
to
5:43
prevent.
5:44
Now,
5:44
airflow
5:45
is
5:45
good,
5:46
ventilation
5:46
is
5:47
good.
5:47
But
5:47
really
5:48
monitoring
5:48
that
5:49
humidity
5:51
is
5:51
a
5:51
key
5:51
piece
5:52
of
5:52
this
5:52
whole
5:52
thing.
5:53
So
5:53
if
5:53
you
5:54
don't
5:54
know,
5:54
you
5:54
don't
5:54
know.
5:55
Now
5:55
here's
5:55
how
5:55
I
5:55
like
5:56
to
5:56
test
5:56
it.
5:57
If
5:57
you
5:57
don't
5:57
want
5:57
to
5:57
go
5:57
out
5:58
and
5:58
spend
5:58
the
5:58
money
5:59
on
5:59
a
6:00
system
6:00
that's
6:00
going
6:00
to
6:00
put
6:01
in
6:01
sensors
6:01
around
6:01
your
6:02
house,
6:02
I
6:02
get
6:02
it.
6:02
Money's
6:03
tight.
6:03
All
6:04
you
6:04
can
6:04
do
6:04
is
6:04
jump
6:04
on
6:05
Amazon
6:05
or
6:05
your
6:05
local
6:06
home
6:06
improvement
6:06
store
6:06
and
6:07
get
6:07
a
6:07
outdoor
6:08
weather
6:08
sensor
6:08
with
6:08
the
6:09
outdoor
6:09
sensor
6:10
and
6:10
the
6:10
indoor
6:11
sensor.
6:12
So
6:12
you
6:12
could
6:12
put
6:12
that
6:12
indoor
6:13
sensor
6:13
in
6:13
a
6:13
place
6:14
like
6:14
your
6:14
kitchen
6:15
or
6:15
your
6:15
bedroom,
6:16
someplace
6:17
like
6:17
that.
6:18
And
6:18
then
6:18
you
6:18
can
6:18
move
6:19
that
6:19
outdoor
6:19
sensor
6:20
around
6:20
and
6:20
measure
6:21
the
6:21
humidity
6:21
in
6:21
the
6:22
other
6:22
rooms
6:22
and
6:22
the
6:23
temperature.
6:23
It
6:23
will
6:23
tell
6:23
you
6:24
what's
6:24
going
6:24
on.
6:25
That
6:26
would
6:26
be
6:26
a
6:26
good
6:26
way
6:26
to
6:27
do
6:27
that.
6:27
So
6:28
that
6:28
way
6:29
you
6:29
have
6:29
it
6:29
dialed
6:30
in,
6:30
you
6:30
know
6:30
where
6:30
it
6:31
is.
6:31
If
6:32
you've
6:32
got
6:32
a
6:32
crawl
6:32
space
6:33
and
6:33
you've
6:33
got
6:33
a
6:33
high
6:33
humidity
6:34
down
6:34
there,
6:35
that
6:35
air
6:35
is
6:35
going
6:36
to
6:36
come
6:36
up
6:36
into
6:36
your
6:36
living
6:37
space.
6:37
60,
6:38
70%
6:38
of
6:39
that
6:39
air
6:39
can
6:39
make
6:40
it
6:40
up
6:40
into
6:40
that
6:41
inside
6:41
of
6:41
the
6:41
house
6:42
from
6:42
a
6:42
crawl
6:42
space.
6:43
Now
6:43
the
6:43
other
6:44
issue
6:44
you
6:44
can
6:44
have
6:44
is
6:44
if
6:45
you're
6:45
a
6:45
slab
6:45
on
6:45
grade
6:46
and
6:46
you've
6:47
got
6:47
moist
6:47
soil
6:47
underneath
6:48
there,
6:48
and
6:48
they
6:48
built
6:48
the
6:49
house
6:49
without
6:49
vapor
6:50
barriers
6:50
and
6:50
insulation
6:50
underneath
6:51
that,
6:51
guess
6:51
what?
6:52
That
6:52
moisture
6:53
can
6:53
come
6:53
up
6:53
through
6:54
the
6:54
concrete
6:54
into
6:55
the
6:55
house
6:55
just
6:55
like
6:56
it
6:56
would
6:56
a
6:56
basement.
6:57
So
6:57
that's
6:57
why
6:57
I'm
6:58
monitoring
6:58
that
6:58
and
6:59
keeping
6:59
it
6:59
down
7:00
is
7:00
good.
7:00
Now
7:01
you
7:01
might
7:01
need
7:01
to
7:02
add
7:02
a
7:02
whole
7:02
house
7:03
dehumidifier
7:04
that
7:05
is
7:05
going
7:05
to
7:05
go
7:05
ahead
7:05
and
7:05
go
7:06
through.
7:06
And
7:06
I
7:06
don't
7:06
like
7:06
the
7:06
little
7:07
tiny
7:07
ones.
7:07
Those
7:07
are
7:08
pretty
7:08
pointless
7:08
unless
7:09
you've
7:09
got
7:09
a
7:09
really
7:09
tiny
7:10
space.
7:11
You
7:11
want
7:11
to
7:11
do
7:11
a
7:11
built
7:12
in
7:12
unit
7:12
that's
7:12
built
7:12
into
7:13
your
7:13
H
7:13
Vac
7:13
or
7:14
in
7:14
your
7:14
crawl
7:14
space
7:14
where
7:15
you've
7:15
got
7:15
one
7:15
in
7:15
there
7:16
that
7:16
is
7:16
plumbed
7:17
up
7:17
so
7:17
it's
7:17
draining
7:18
the
7:18
water
7:18
out
7:18
and
7:19
you're
7:19
not
7:19
creating
7:19
this
7:19
circular
7:20
motion
7:20
of
7:21
kicking
7:21
the
7:21
water
7:21
right
7:22
outside
7:22
and
7:22
it
7:22
kicks
7:23
right
7:23
back
7:23
into
7:23
the
7:24
basement
7:24
or
7:24
crawl
7:24
space.
7:25
So
7:25
you
7:25
Want
7:25
to
7:25
be
7:25
careful
7:25
of
7:26
those
7:26
and
7:27
make
7:27
sure
7:27
that
7:27
pumps
7:27
out
7:28
into
7:28
the
7:28
right
7:28
space.
7:29
That
7:29
way
7:30
you
7:30
get
7:30
that
7:30
moisture
7:31
completely
7:32
away
7:32
from
7:32
everything
7:33
and
7:33
you'll
7:33
be
7:33
good
7:34
to
7:34
go.
7:34
That
7:35
is
7:35
one
7:35
of
7:35
the
7:35
biggest
7:36
things
7:36
you
7:36
can
7:36
do
7:37
to
7:37
really
7:37
help
7:38
in
7:38
your
7:38
indoor
7:38
air
7:39
quality.
7:39
So
7:40
watch
7:40
your
7:40
humidity.
7:41
Summertime
7:42
in
7:42
the
7:42
south,
7:43
you
7:43
know
7:43
it,
7:43
that
7:44
can
7:44
be
7:44
a
7:44
big
7:44
deal.
7:45
Arizona,
7:46
not
7:46
so
7:46
much.
7:46
But
7:47
you
7:47
know
7:47
something
7:47
that
7:47
does
7:48
exist
7:48
because
7:48
you
7:49
do
7:49
get
7:49
the
7:49
monsoonal
7:50
stuff.
7:50
You
7:51
do
7:51
get
7:51
wet
7:51
patterns,
7:52
you
7:52
do
7:52
get
7:52
humid
7:52
patterns
7:53
from
7:53
time
7:53
to
7:53
time.
7:54
And
7:54
depending
7:55
on
7:55
where
7:55
you're
7:55
at
7:55
in
7:55
the
7:55
state,
7:56
whether
7:56
you're
7:56
in
7:56
the
7:56
mountains
7:56
or
7:57
out
7:57
in
7:57
the
7:57
desert,
7:58
it's
7:59
something
7:59
you
7:59
should
7:59
be
7:59
careful
8:00
of.
8:00
So
8:01
80%
8:01
of
8:01
the
8:01
homes
8:02
have
8:02
a
8:02
humidity
8:03
issue
8:04
of
8:04
some
8:04
kind
8:05
that
8:05
they're
8:05
either
8:06
treating
8:06
or
8:06
not
8:07
treating.
8:07
And
8:07
if
8:08
you
8:08
don't
8:08
have
8:08
a
8:08
dehumidifier,
8:10
you
8:10
might
8:10
want
8:10
to
8:10
look
8:10
and
8:10
make
8:11
sure
8:11
you've
8:11
got
8:11
that
8:11
dialed
8:12
in.
8:12
Those
8:12
little
8:13
ones
8:13
are
8:13
kind
8:13
of
8:13
junk.
8:14
They
8:14
don't
8:15
do
8:15
enough
8:15
square
8:15
footage
8:16
to
8:16
make
8:16
a
8:16
difference.
8:17
And
8:17
if
8:18
you
8:18
put
8:18
four,
8:18
five,
8:19
six
8:19
or
8:19
seven
8:19
of
8:19
those
8:19
around
8:20
your
8:20
house,
8:20
it's
8:21
going
8:21
to
8:21
cost
8:21
you
8:21
way
8:21
more
8:22
money
8:22
because
8:22
you're
8:23
running
8:23
all
8:23
those
8:23
different
8:24
motors
8:24
and
8:25
it's
8:25
just
8:25
not
8:26
working
8:26
right.
8:26
So
8:26
you
8:26
want
8:26
to
8:27
hook
8:27
it
8:27
into
8:27
a
8:27
system
8:27
that's
8:28
going
8:28
to
8:28
work.
8:28
And
8:28
that's
8:29
where
8:29
you
8:29
want
8:29
to
8:29
talk
8:29
to
8:29
your
8:30
H
8:30
Vac
8:31
professional
8:32
and
8:32
make
8:32
sure
8:32
that
8:32
you've
8:32
got
8:33
that
8:33
dialed
8:33
in.
8:34
So
8:34
there's
8:35
number
8:35
one
8:35
on
8:35
the
8:36
list.
8:37
Now
8:37
number
8:37
two
8:37
is
8:37
an
8:38
important
8:38
one.
8:39
This
8:39
is
8:39
where
8:39
you
8:40
should
8:40
be
8:40
using
8:41
ventilation.
8:42
Your
8:42
bathrooms
8:43
that
8:43
have
8:43
a
8:43
shower,
8:44
even
8:45
a
8:45
toilet,
8:46
just
8:46
a
8:46
powder
8:47
room,
8:47
should
8:48
all
8:48
have
8:48
a
8:49
high
8:49
quality
8:50
bath
8:50
fan
8:51
in.
8:51
And
8:51
I'm
8:52
not
8:52
talking
8:52
that
8:52
builder
8:53
grade
8:53
40
8:54
CFM1,
8:54
that's
8:54
the
8:55
Newtone,
8:55
little
8:55
tiny
8:56
ones
8:56
that
8:56
they
8:56
put
8:56
into
8:57
every
8:57
inexpensive
8:58
builder
8:59
grade
8:59
home
8:59
across
8:59
the
8:59
U.S.
9:00
i'm
9:00
talking
9:01
like
9:01
a
9:01
big
9:01
Panasonic.
9:02
I'm
9:03
talking
9:03
something
9:03
that's
9:03
going
9:03
to
9:03
move
9:04
100,
9:04
110,
9:05
120
9:06
CFM.
9:07
Something
9:07
that's
9:08
going
9:08
to
9:08
move
9:09
enough
9:09
air
9:09
to
9:10
make
9:10
a
9:10
difference.
9:10
Because
9:11
in
9:12
your
9:12
bathroom
9:13
you
9:13
have
9:13
sitting
9:13
water.
9:14
In
9:14
a
9:14
toilet
9:15
you
9:15
have
9:15
a
9:16
shower
9:16
maybe
9:16
or
9:16
a
9:17
bathtub.
9:17
You've
9:18
got
9:18
people
9:18
getting
9:19
ready
9:19
with
9:19
all
9:20
these
9:20
VOCs
9:21
that
9:21
are
9:21
in
9:21
all
9:22
of
9:22
the
9:22
hair
9:22
care
9:23
products,
9:24
all
9:24
the
9:24
chemicals
9:24
that
9:25
are
9:25
in
9:25
the
9:25
makeup,
9:26
somebody's
9:26
using
9:27
a
9:27
spray
9:27
this
9:28
spray
9:28
that.
9:29
You
9:29
want
9:29
to
9:29
get
9:29
that
9:30
stuff
9:30
outside
9:31
of
9:31
the
9:31
house.
9:32
So
9:33
one,
9:33
you're
9:33
controlling
9:34
humidity
9:34
with
9:34
the
9:34
bath
9:35
fan.
9:35
Two,
9:36
you're
9:36
taking
9:36
those
9:37
chemicals
9:37
out,
9:38
and
9:39
three,
9:39
you're
9:40
just
9:40
getting
9:40
that
9:40
air
9:41
outside.
9:42
So
9:42
it's
9:42
not
9:42
contaminating
9:43
the
9:43
rest
9:43
of
9:44
the
9:44
house.
9:45
So
9:45
really
9:45
what
9:46
you
9:46
want
9:46
to
9:46
do
9:46
and
9:47
code
9:47
requires
9:48
this
9:48
in
9:48
most
9:48
areas,
9:49
you
9:49
want
9:49
to
9:49
have
9:49
a
9:50
bath
9:50
fan
9:50
that
9:51
has
9:51
either
9:51
a
9:52
humidity
9:52
sensor
9:53
and
9:53
or
9:54
what
9:54
code
9:55
requires,
9:55
which
9:55
is
9:56
a
9:56
timer
9:56
on
9:57
there
9:57
because
9:57
you
9:58
want
9:58
to
9:58
run
9:58
that
9:59
fan
9:59
long
9:59
enough
10:00
so
10:00
it
10:00
airs
10:01
out
10:01
that
10:01
space
10:02
at
10:02
least
10:02
20
10:02
minutes
10:03
after
10:03
you
10:03
leave
10:03
it.
10:04
So
10:04
if
10:04
you
10:04
take
10:04
a
10:04
shower,
10:05
get
10:05
ready,
10:06
you
10:06
want
10:06
to
10:06
make
10:06
sure
10:06
that
10:07
fan
10:07
runs
10:07
for
10:07
20
10:07
minutes
10:08
after
10:08
the
10:08
fact.
10:09
So
10:09
we'll
10:09
talk
10:10
more
10:10
about
10:10
that
10:10
when
10:10
we
10:10
come
10:11
back
10:11
just
10:11
after
10:11
these
10:12
important
10:12
messages.
10:13
Don't
10:13
change
10:13
that
10:14
dial.
10:14
We're
10:14
just
10:14
getting
10:15
started
10:15
here
10:15
on
10:15
around
10:16
the
10:16
House.
10:17
To
10:17
find
10:17
out
10:17
more
10:18
information,
10:18
head
10:18
to
10:19
aroundthehouse
10:19
online.com
10:21
don't
10:21
change
10:21
that
10:22
dial.
10:22
Around
10:23
the
10:23
House
10:23
will
10:23
be
10:23
right
10:24
back
10:24
after
10:24
these
10:24
important
10:25
messages.
10:26
I
10:27
be
10:28
allowed
10:29
to
10:29
be
10:29
so
10:30
hot,
10:34
so
10:36
many
10:36
people
10:37
without.
12:12
Welcome
12:12
back
12:12
to
12:12
the
12:13
around
12:13
the
12:13
House
12:13
show,
12:13
the
12:13
next
12:14
generation
12:14
of
12:14
home
12:15
improvement.
12:15
I'm
12:16
Eric
12:16
G.
12:16
This
12:17
hour
12:17
is
12:17
brought
12:17
to
12:17
you
12:17
by
12:18
our
12:18
friends
12:18
at
12:18
Monty
12:18
McGrills.
12:19
Check
12:19
them
12:19
out
12:19
at
12:19
montymcgrills.com
12:21
now
12:22
we've
12:22
been
12:22
talking
12:22
about
12:22
my
12:23
top
12:23
10
12:23
things
12:23
that
12:23
cause
12:24
bad
12:24
indoor
12:24
air
12:25
quality
12:25
in
12:25
your
12:25
home.
12:26
Now
12:27
these
12:27
are
12:27
important
12:27
ones.
12:28
We
12:28
were
12:28
just
12:29
talking
12:29
about
12:29
high
12:29
humidity
12:30
and
12:30
then
12:30
not
12:31
using
12:31
ventilation.
12:32
We
12:32
were
12:33
talking
12:33
about
12:33
bath
12:33
fans
12:34
and
12:34
how
12:34
important
12:34
that
12:35
is.
12:36
The
12:36
bigger
12:36
one
12:36
almost
12:37
is
12:38
kitchen
12:38
fans.
12:39
Your
12:40
kitchen
12:40
vent
12:41
hood
12:42
should
12:42
or
12:42
downdraft
12:43
unit
12:44
should
12:44
be
12:44
venting
12:45
completely
12:46
to
12:46
the
12:46
exterior
12:47
and
12:47
not
12:48
ever
12:48
have
12:49
one
12:49
of
12:49
those
12:49
recycling
12:50
ones
12:50
or
12:51
what
12:51
I
12:51
call
12:51
forehead
12:52
duster
12:52
fans.
12:53
What
12:53
are
12:53
those?
12:54
Now
12:54
if
12:54
you
12:54
walk
12:54
into
12:55
your
12:55
inexpensive
12:55
home
12:56
improvement
12:56
store
12:56
like
12:57
your
12:57
Home
12:57
Depot
12:57
or
12:57
Lowe's
12:58
many
12:58
times,
12:58
you'll
12:58
see
12:58
that
12:59
bro
12:59
Newtone
13:00
one
13:00
that
13:00
calls
13:01
it
13:01
a
13:01
air
13:01
quotes
13:02
recycling
13:03
fan.
13:04
They're
13:04
about
13:04
as
13:04
efficient
13:05
as
13:05
recycling
13:06
toilets.
13:07
You're
13:07
not
13:08
filtering
13:08
anything
13:08
out
13:08
of
13:09
it.
13:09
They
13:09
got
13:09
a
13:09
little
13:09
charcoal
13:10
filter.
13:10
It's
13:11
not
13:11
doing
13:11
anything.
13:12
It
13:12
is
13:12
putting
13:12
all
13:13
of
13:13
that
13:13
bad
13:13
air
13:14
right
13:14
back
13:14
into
13:14
the
13:15
house
13:15
and
13:15
mixing
13:16
it
13:16
up
13:16
inside.
13:17
That
13:18
is
13:18
a
13:18
horrible
13:19
thing
13:19
for
13:20
indoor
13:20
air
13:20
quality.
13:21
That
13:22
is
13:22
a
13:22
useless
13:23
unit.
13:24
So
13:24
that
13:24
needs
13:24
to
13:24
be
13:25
taken
13:25
out
13:26
and
13:27
really
13:28
replaced
13:28
with
13:28
something
13:29
that
13:29
vents
13:29
outside.
13:30
Now
13:30
in
13:30
my
13:30
area
13:31
now
13:31
this
13:31
goes
13:31
state
13:32
to
13:32
state,
13:32
county
13:32
by
13:33
county,
13:33
township,
13:34
whatever
13:35
your
13:35
local
13:35
jurisdiction
13:36
is
13:36
for
13:37
building
13:37
codes
13:38
in
13:38
most
13:39
areas
13:39
now
13:40
they
13:40
have
13:40
adopted
13:41
building
13:41
codes
13:41
that
13:41
are
13:42
more
13:42
current
13:43
which
13:43
require
13:44
that
13:45
kitchen
13:45
vent
13:46
hood
13:46
to
13:46
vent
13:47
all
13:47
the
13:47
way
13:47
outside.
13:48
Probably
13:48
for
13:49
20
13:49
years
13:49
in
13:49
my
13:50
state
13:50
here
13:50
in
13:50
Oregon,
13:51
they
13:51
have
13:52
required
13:52
that.
13:53
And
13:53
it
13:53
doesn't
13:54
matter
13:54
if
13:54
I
13:54
go
13:54
into
13:54
a
13:55
condo
13:55
unit
13:55
that's
13:56
a
13:56
residential
13:56
condo
13:57
unit
13:57
and
13:57
they
13:57
never
13:58
had
13:58
one.
13:58
We
13:59
have
13:59
to
13:59
Figure
13:59
out
14:00
a
14:00
way
14:00
to
14:00
put
14:00
one
14:00
in.
14:01
And
14:01
I
14:02
appreciate
14:02
that
14:03
it's
14:03
smart
14:04
because
14:04
you're
14:05
getting
14:05
all
14:05
those
14:06
bad
14:06
gases,
14:07
chemicals,
14:08
all
14:09
the
14:09
stuff
14:09
that
14:09
comes
14:10
from
14:10
cooking
14:10
outside.
14:11
Now
14:12
here
14:12
in
14:12
humidity
14:13
as
14:13
well.
14:14
Now,
14:14
I
14:15
think
14:15
this
14:15
should
14:15
be
14:15
building
14:16
code
14:16
across
14:16
the
14:17
U.S.
14:17
the
14:18
areas
14:18
in
14:19
states
14:19
or
14:19
whatever
14:19
that
14:20
don't
14:20
have
14:20
this
14:20
as
14:21
building
14:21
code,
14:22
I
14:22
plead
14:23
that
14:23
you
14:23
update
14:23
this
14:24
to
14:24
make
14:24
sure
14:24
that
14:25
we
14:25
have
14:25
safer,
14:26
healthier
14:26
homes
14:27
outside
14:27
for
14:27
inside,
14:28
for
14:28
people,
14:28
and
14:29
get
14:29
that
14:29
stuff
14:29
outside,
14:30
because
14:31
we
14:31
want
14:31
that
14:32
to
14:32
get
14:32
out
14:33
of
14:33
the
14:33
home
14:34
so
14:34
we
14:34
have
14:34
cleaner
14:35
indoor
14:35
air.
14:36
Now,
14:36
here's
14:37
the
14:37
thing.
14:37
It
14:37
doesn't
14:38
matter
14:38
if
14:38
you're
14:38
cooking
14:39
on
14:39
a
14:39
gas
14:39
stove,
14:40
a
14:41
gas
14:41
cooktop
14:42
or
14:43
electric
14:43
one,
14:44
or
14:44
an
14:44
induction
14:45
one.
14:46
That
14:46
cooking
14:47
still
14:48
gives
14:48
off
14:49
all
14:49
the
14:50
same
14:50
chemicals,
14:52
humidity,
14:53
VOCs,
14:54
all
14:55
the
14:55
different
14:55
stuff
14:55
that
14:56
you're
14:56
cooking
14:56
still
14:56
comes
14:57
off.
14:58
Now,
14:58
with
14:59
gas,
14:59
you
14:59
have
14:59
a
15:00
few
15:00
extras
15:00
because
15:00
you've
15:01
got
15:01
combustion
15:01
in
15:02
there,
15:02
which
15:02
is
15:02
a
15:03
little
15:03
more
15:03
humidity
15:04
sometimes.
15:05
And
15:05
of
15:05
course,
15:06
you've
15:06
got
15:06
some
15:06
carbon
15:07
dioxide,
15:08
carbon
15:08
monoxide,
15:09
all
15:09
that
15:09
stuff
15:10
that
15:10
needs
15:10
to
15:10
get
15:10
out
15:10
of
15:10
the
15:10
house.
15:11
But
15:12
I
15:12
do
15:12
not
15:12
believe
15:13
if
15:14
you
15:14
have
15:14
a
15:15
correctly
15:15
working
15:16
gas
15:17
appliance
15:17
in
15:17
your
15:18
home,
15:19
that
15:19
adds
15:19
much
15:20
of
15:20
an
15:20
added
15:20
danger
15:21
to
15:21
anything.
15:22
But
15:23
you
15:23
do
15:23
need
15:23
to
15:24
have
15:24
proper
15:24
ventilation
15:25
for
15:26
that.
15:27
Now,
15:27
is
15:28
induction
15:28
cooking
15:29
more
15:29
efficient?
15:30
Yes,
15:30
it
15:30
is.
15:31
Could
15:31
I
15:31
boil
15:31
a
15:31
pot
15:32
of
15:32
water
15:32
on
15:32
an
15:32
induction
15:33
cooktop
15:33
faster
15:34
than
15:34
gas
15:34
one?
15:34
Absolutely.
15:35
Every
15:36
time
15:36
but
15:37
times.
15:38
And
15:38
they're
15:38
getting
15:38
cheaper.
15:39
But
15:39
many
15:39
times
15:40
that
15:40
induction
15:41
cooktop
15:42
or
15:42
cooking
15:43
surface
15:43
is
15:44
way
15:44
more
15:45
expensive
15:45
in
15:45
the
15:45
upfront
15:46
costs.
15:46
And
15:46
if
15:47
you
15:47
don't
15:47
have
15:47
the
15:47
pans
15:48
that
15:48
have
15:48
iron
15:48
in
15:49
them,
15:49
you
15:49
need
15:50
to
15:50
get
15:50
those.
15:50
Now,
15:51
how
15:51
those
15:51
work
15:51
is
15:52
the
15:52
induction
15:52
cooking.
15:52
You'll
15:53
see
15:53
them
15:53
in
15:53
restaurants
15:54
and
15:54
things
15:54
like
15:54
that.
15:55
In
15:55
some
15:55
areas
15:55
that
15:56
are
15:56
forcing
15:56
you
15:57
not
15:57
to
15:57
use
15:57
natural
15:58
gas,
15:59
they're
15:59
going
15:59
to
15:59
be
15:59
more
15:59
popular,
16:00
even
16:00
in
16:00
restaurants.
16:01
But
16:01
here's
16:01
what
16:01
you're
16:02
seeing.
16:03
So
16:03
these
16:03
actually
16:03
take
16:04
the
16:04
iron
16:04
particles
16:05
in
16:05
the
16:05
pan.
16:06
So
16:06
it
16:06
has
16:06
to
16:06
have
16:07
something
16:07
that
16:07
has
16:07
a
16:07
magnet
16:08
attached
16:08
to
16:08
it.
16:09
It
16:09
accelerates
16:10
those
16:10
and
16:10
it
16:11
heats
16:11
the
16:11
pan
16:11
up,
16:12
not
16:12
the
16:13
cooktop
16:13
itself.
16:13
So
16:14
there's
16:14
no
16:14
flame.
16:14
That's
16:15
not
16:15
like
16:15
a
16:15
coil
16:15
element
16:16
that
16:16
gets
16:16
hot.
16:17
So
16:17
it
16:18
does
16:18
that.
16:18
So
16:18
the
16:18
whole
16:18
pan
16:19
becomes
16:19
a
16:19
cooking
16:19
surface.
16:20
Yes,
16:20
it's
16:20
a
16:21
more
16:21
efficient
16:21
way
16:21
to
16:21
cook,
16:22
no
16:22
question.
16:23
But
16:23
for
16:23
the
16:24
people
16:24
that
16:24
want
16:24
to
16:24
use
16:24
gas
16:25
out
16:25
there,
16:25
I
16:26
have
16:26
no
16:26
problem
16:26
with
16:27
that.
16:27
So
16:28
there's
16:28
where
16:28
you
16:28
want
16:29
to
16:29
be.
16:30
Now,
16:30
you
16:31
still
16:31
want
16:31
to
16:31
get
16:31
that
16:31
air
16:32
outside.
16:32
So
16:32
really
16:33
making
16:33
sure
16:33
you
16:34
do
16:34
that
16:34
and
16:35
making
16:35
sure
16:35
that
16:35
you
16:36
run
16:36
that
16:36
fan
16:36
10
16:37
or
16:37
15
16:37
minutes
16:37
after
16:38
you're
16:38
Done
16:38
cooking
16:38
is
16:39
smart
16:39
as
16:39
well.
16:41
Now,
16:41
here's
16:41
the
16:41
problem
16:41
with
16:42
vent
16:42
fans.
16:43
We
16:43
have
16:44
those
16:44
that
16:44
are
16:44
the
16:44
microwave,
16:45
over
16:45
the
16:45
range
16:45
microwave
16:46
hoods.
16:46
I
16:46
hate
16:47
those.
16:48
They're
16:48
dangerous
16:49
and
16:49
they
16:49
don't
16:49
vent.
16:49
How
16:50
are
16:50
they
16:50
dangerous?
16:50
Because
16:50
you're
16:51
leaning
16:51
over
16:51
a
16:51
cooking
16:52
surface.
16:53
So
16:53
it's
16:53
one
16:53
of
16:53
my
16:53
biggest
16:54
pet
16:54
peeves
16:54
as
16:54
a
16:54
kitchen
16:54
and
16:55
bath
16:55
designer.
16:55
In
16:55
a
16:55
small
16:56
kitchen,
16:56
sometimes
16:56
it's
16:57
your
16:57
only
16:57
option.
16:58
I
16:58
get
16:58
it.
16:59
But
16:59
there
17:00
is
17:00
no
17:00
capture
17:01
to
17:01
them
17:01
because
17:01
they
17:02
don't
17:02
have
17:02
a
17:03
place
17:03
for
17:03
stuff.
17:04
Like
17:04
you
17:04
open
17:04
a
17:04
pan
17:05
lid
17:05
and
17:05
it
17:06
poofs
17:06
off
17:06
all
17:07
the
17:07
stuff
17:07
under
17:07
the
17:07
lid.
17:08
It
17:08
rolls
17:08
out
17:09
and
17:09
goes
17:09
into
17:09
the
17:09
room.
17:10
So
17:10
it
17:10
doesn't
17:10
work
17:11
as
17:11
well.
17:12
So
17:12
those
17:12
are
17:13
things
17:13
that
17:13
you
17:13
really
17:13
need
17:13
to
17:14
pay
17:14
attention
17:14
to.
17:15
Is
17:16
that
17:16
capture?
17:16
So
17:17
they
17:17
don't
17:17
work
17:17
well
17:18
as
17:18
hoods.
17:18
They
17:18
don't
17:18
move
17:18
a
17:18
lot
17:19
of
17:19
air.
17:19
Now,
17:20
hoods
17:20
can
17:21
move
17:21
too
17:21
much
17:21
air.
17:22
When
17:23
you
17:23
get
17:23
over
17:23
about
17:23
250cfm,
17:24
depending
17:25
on
17:25
code
17:25
in
17:25
your
17:25
area,
17:26
you
17:27
now
17:27
have
17:27
to
17:27
have
17:27
a
17:27
makeup
17:28
area
17:29
that
17:29
comes
17:29
in.
17:30
That
17:30
makeup
17:30
air
17:30
has
17:31
to
17:31
come
17:31
in
17:32
and
17:32
replace
17:32
that.
17:33
So
17:33
that's
17:33
where
17:33
you
17:33
bring
17:34
in
17:34
your
17:34
H
17:34
Vac
17:34
professional.
17:35
They'll
17:35
put
17:35
in
17:36
a
17:36
damper,
17:37
they'll
17:37
probably
17:37
put
17:37
it
17:37
into
17:38
the
17:38
intake
17:38
of
17:38
your
17:39
H
17:39
vac
17:39
system
17:41
with
17:41
a
17:41
filter,
17:42
and
17:42
they
17:42
will
17:43
bring
17:43
in
17:43
fresh
17:43
air
17:44
and
17:44
introduce
17:44
it
17:45
into
17:45
the
17:45
home
17:45
to
17:45
replace
17:46
that.
17:47
Now,
17:47
there's
17:47
different
17:47
ways
17:48
to
17:48
do
17:48
it,
17:48
but
17:48
that
17:48
is
17:48
definitely
17:49
not
17:49
a
17:49
DIY
17:50
project.
17:50
That
17:50
is
17:50
something
17:51
that
17:51
they
17:51
want
17:51
to
17:51
do
17:51
the
17:51
calculations
17:52
and
17:53
make
17:53
sure
17:53
they
17:53
put
17:53
that
17:54
makeup
17:54
error.
17:54
But
17:54
that
17:54
is
17:55
something
17:55
important,
17:56
especially
17:56
when
17:56
you
17:56
get
17:56
up
17:57
into
17:57
the
17:57
thousand
17:57
twelve
17:57
hundred
17:58
cfm,
17:59
that
17:59
gets
17:59
to
17:59
be
17:59
a
17:59
really
18:00
big
18:00
problem
18:00
with
18:00
that.
18:01
So
18:01
something
18:02
to
18:02
consider.
18:03
So
18:04
that
18:04
really
18:04
addresses
18:05
our
18:05
fans.
18:05
And
18:06
laundry,
18:06
I
18:07
think
18:07
is
18:07
an
18:07
important
18:07
one
18:07
as
18:08
well
18:09
to
18:09
have
18:09
that
18:10
laundry
18:10
in
18:11
there
18:11
to
18:11
do
18:12
that.
18:12
Because
18:12
you've
18:13
got
18:13
moisture,
18:13
you've
18:14
got
18:14
chemicals,
18:14
you've
18:15
got
18:15
wet
18:15
clothes.
18:16
Having
18:16
something
18:17
that
18:17
kicks
18:17
on
18:17
at
18:18
least
18:18
to
18:18
control
18:18
humidity,
18:20
to
18:20
get
18:20
that
18:20
out
18:20
of
18:21
there
18:21
is
18:21
smart.
18:22
When
18:22
you
18:22
get
18:22
into
18:23
an
18:23
uncontrolled
18:23
humidity
18:24
situation
18:25
and
18:25
no
18:25
AC
18:26
or
18:26
no
18:26
dehumidifier,
18:28
that
18:28
can
18:28
be
18:29
an
18:29
issue
18:29
where
18:29
the
18:29
fan
18:29
just
18:29
runs
18:30
and
18:30
runs
18:30
and
18:30
then
18:30
you
18:30
have
18:31
to
18:31
go
18:31
turn
18:31
it
18:31
off
18:31
or
18:31
figure
18:32
out
18:32
a
18:32
way
18:32
to
18:32
do
18:32
that.
18:32
So
18:33
be
18:33
careful
18:33
with
18:33
that.
18:34
Manage
18:34
that
18:35
correctly.
18:36
The
18:36
next
18:36
one
18:37
is
18:38
lack
18:38
of
18:38
air
18:38
filtration.
18:40
How
18:40
is
18:40
the
18:40
air
18:40
filter
18:41
in
18:41
your
18:41
home?
18:42
Now,
18:43
the
18:43
biggest
18:43
offenders,
18:43
the
18:44
people
18:44
that
18:44
have
18:44
like
18:44
the
18:44
cadet
18:45
heaters
18:46
and
18:46
the
18:47
any
18:48
of
18:48
the
18:48
radiant
18:49
floor
18:49
heats
18:50
or
18:50
ceiling
18:50
heat
18:51
or
18:52
baseboard
18:52
heat.
18:53
Anybody
18:54
without
18:54
some
18:54
kind
18:55
of
18:55
air
18:55
moving
18:55
device
18:56
with
18:56
A
18:56
filter
18:56
on
18:57
it.
18:58
You're
18:58
going
18:58
to
18:58
have
18:58
low
18:59
indoor
18:59
air
18:59
quality
19:00
with
19:00
particulate
19:01
matter
19:01
unless
19:02
you're
19:02
running
19:02
a
19:02
HEPA
19:03
filter
19:03
or
19:03
something
19:03
else
19:04
in
19:04
the
19:04
house.
19:05
So
19:05
that
19:05
is
19:05
another
19:05
one
19:06
of
19:06
those
19:06
that
19:06
I
19:06
think
19:06
if
19:07
you're
19:07
remodeling
19:08
a
19:08
rental
19:09
unit
19:09
or
19:09
an
19:09
apartment,
19:10
I
19:10
think
19:10
they
19:11
should
19:11
be
19:11
putting
19:11
this
19:12
in
19:12
as
19:12
just
19:12
a
19:12
matter
19:13
of
19:13
having
19:14
healthier
19:14
air
19:15
and
19:15
healthier
19:15
homes.
19:16
Now
19:16
the
19:16
filtration
19:17
is
19:17
important.
19:18
Whether
19:18
you're
19:18
running
19:18
that
19:18
HEPA
19:19
filter
19:19
unit
19:20
that's
19:20
sitting
19:20
in
19:20
your
19:21
room
19:21
or
19:21
if
19:22
you've
19:22
got
19:22
a
19:22
good
19:22
air
19:23
filter
19:23
for
19:23
your
19:23
furnace,
19:24
changing
19:24
it,
19:25
keeping
19:25
it
19:25
going
19:26
well
19:26
and
19:27
making
19:27
sure
19:27
it
19:27
is
19:28
dialed
19:28
in
19:29
is
19:29
your
19:29
answer
19:30
for
19:30
keeping
19:31
that
19:31
what
19:32
they
19:32
call
19:32
PM
19:32
2.5
19:33
down
19:34
low.
19:35
Now
19:35
with
19:35
my
19:36
system,
19:36
when
19:36
I
19:36
put
19:37
in
19:37
my
19:37
carrier
19:37
Infinity
19:38
system,
19:38
we
19:38
put
19:38
in
19:39
a
19:39
D
19:39
GAPPA
19:40
air
19:40
filter.
19:41
Now
19:41
that
19:41
air
19:42
filter
19:42
really
19:43
goes
19:43
in
19:43
and
19:44
cleans
19:44
up
19:44
the
19:44
air.
19:45
It
19:45
uses
19:45
a,
19:45
a
19:46
kind
19:46
of
19:46
a
19:47
carbon
19:47
ribbon
19:48
in
19:48
the
19:48
filter
19:48
there
19:49
and
19:50
it
19:51
negatively
19:51
charges
19:52
that.
19:52
And
19:52
there's
19:52
some
19:53
almost
19:53
like
19:53
a
19:54
bug
19:54
zapper
19:55
in
19:55
there
19:55
that
19:55
really
19:56
kills
19:56
and
19:57
captures
19:57
anything
19:58
when
19:58
it
19:58
hits
19:58
it
19:59
and
20:00
it
20:00
hits
20:00
that
20:00
drops
20:01
it
20:01
down
20:01
into
20:01
the
20:01
air
20:01
filter.
20:02
So
20:02
it
20:02
really
20:03
cleans
20:03
and
20:03
captures.
20:04
So
20:04
it
20:04
takes
20:04
care
20:04
of
20:05
dust,
20:06
it
20:06
takes
20:07
care
20:07
of
20:07
viruses,
20:08
it
20:08
takes
20:08
care
20:08
of
20:08
all
20:08
those
20:09
different
20:09
things
20:10
and
20:10
it
20:10
really
20:10
leaves
20:11
for
20:11
a
20:11
much
20:11
cleaner
20:12
air
20:12
in
20:12
the
20:12
house.
20:13
Now
20:13
I
20:13
also
20:13
put
20:14
in
20:14
a
20:15
one
20:15
of
20:15
the
20:15
space
20:16
age
20:16
type
20:17
basically
20:18
air
20:19
units
20:19
as
20:19
well
20:20
that
20:20
really
20:21
cleans
20:21
the
20:21
air,
20:21
but
20:21
it
20:22
almost
20:22
cleans
20:22
the
20:22
air
20:23
too
20:23
good.
20:23
And
20:24
I
20:24
say
20:24
that
20:24
because
20:24
what
20:25
happens
20:25
is
20:25
it'll
20:25
sit
20:26
there
20:26
and
20:26
kill
20:27
any
20:27
yeast
20:28
because
20:28
it's
20:28
killing
20:28
things
20:29
on
20:29
the
20:29
countertops
20:31
because
20:31
the
20:31
little
20:32
particulate
20:32
matter
20:32
that's
20:33
kind
20:33
of
20:33
like
20:33
hydrogen
20:34
peroxide
20:34
comes
20:34
down
20:35
and
20:35
you
20:35
can't
20:36
bake
20:36
with
20:36
that
20:36
on.
20:37
The
20:37
yeast
20:38
won't
20:38
rise.
20:38
So
20:39
it's
20:39
almost
20:39
too
20:39
efficient.
20:40
Now
20:41
when
20:41
you
20:41
come
20:41
back,
20:41
we're
20:42
going
20:42
to
20:42
dive
20:42
into
20:42
some
20:42
other
20:42
ones.
20:43
We'll
20:43
do
20:43
that
20:44
just
20:44
as
20:44
soon
20:44
as
20:44
around
20:45
the
20:45
House
20:45
returns.
20:45
Don't
20:46
go
20:46
anywhere.
20:46
To
20:47

head

20:50
don't
20:51

20:51
that
20:51

20:52
around
20:52
the
20:52

20:53
We'll
20:53
be
20:53
right
20:53
back
20:54
after
20:54
these
20:54
important
20:54

I

appreciate

all
23:07
of

you.
23:07
This

23:10
If
23:10
you're
23:10
looking
23:10
for
23:11
that
23:11
brand
23:11
new
23:11
barbecue,
23:12
I
23:12
just
23:12
got
23:12
another
23:13
one
23:13
here
23:13
that's
23:14
going
23:14
over
23:14
to
23:14
my
23:14
girlfriend's
23:15
place
23:15
and
23:16
this
23:17
Omni
23:17
series,
23:18
it's
23:18
the
23:18
405.
23:19
It
23:20
is
23:20
a
23:20
great
23:20
barbecue.
23:21
I
23:21
love
23:22
cooking
23:22
on
23:22
this.
23:22
And
23:23
we're
23:23
gonna
23:23
have
23:23
a
23:23
segment
23:24
coming
23:24
up
23:24
in
23:24
an
23:25
around
23:25
the
23:25
House
23:26
Northwest
23:26
episode
23:28
in
23:28
June
23:29
because
23:29
this
23:29
is
23:29
where
23:30
we're
23:30
gonna
23:30
wrap
23:30
up
23:30
our
23:30
season
23:31
here.
23:31
And
23:32
we've
23:32
got
23:32
some
23:32
big
23:33
stuff
23:33
ahead
23:33
for
23:33
the
23:34
show.
23:34
Stay
23:34
tuned.
23:35
And
23:35
if
23:35
you
23:35
want
23:35
to
23:35
find
23:36
out
23:36
more
23:36
information
23:36
about
23:36
the
23:37
TV
23:37
show,
23:37
head
23:37
over
23:38
to
23:38
around
23:38
the
23:38
house
23:39
online.com
23:40
we've
23:40
been
23:41
talking
23:41
about
23:41
my
23:41
top
23:41
10
23:41
things
23:42
that
23:42
cause
23:42
bad
23:42
indoor
23:43
air
23:43
quality
23:43
in
23:43
your
23:43
home.
23:44
This
23:44
is
23:44
how
23:45
you
23:45
deal
23:45
with
23:45
that
23:46
stuff
23:46
to
23:46
make
23:46
sure
23:46
that
23:46
your
23:47
air
23:47
is
23:47
solid.
23:48
Now,
23:48
number
23:48
one,
23:49
we
23:49
talked
23:49
about,
23:49
well,
23:50
actually
23:50
number
23:51
zero
23:51
on
23:51
here,
23:52
it's
23:52
10
23:52
plus
23:53
one,
23:53
of
23:53
course,
23:53
radon.
23:54
Making
23:54
sure
23:54
you've
23:54
got
23:55
the
23:55
testing
23:55
there
23:56
and
23:56
that's
23:56
dialed
23:57
in.
23:57
But
23:57
really
23:58
high
23:58
humidity,
23:59
not
23:59
using
23:59
ventilation
24:00
and
24:01
poor
24:01
air
24:01
filtration
24:02
is
24:02
what
24:02
we
24:02
were
24:03
talking
24:03
about
24:03
in
24:03
the
24:03
first
24:04
half
24:04
of
24:04
the
24:04
show
24:04
here
24:05
of
24:05
this
24:05
hour.
24:06
Now,
24:07
the
24:07
next
24:07
one
24:07
here
24:07
is
24:07
going
24:07
to
24:07
be
24:08
surprising
24:08
for
24:08
some
24:08
people.
24:09
You
24:09
might
24:10
be
24:10
shocked.
24:11
Using
24:12
those
24:12
plug
24:12
in
24:12
style
24:13
or
24:13
even
24:13
spray
24:14
air
24:14
fresheners
24:15
can
24:16
be
24:16
just
24:16
like
24:17
vaping
24:17
in
24:17
your
24:17
own
24:18
home.
24:18
I
24:19
know
24:19
people
24:19
that
24:19
have
24:20
a
24:20
bunch
24:20
of
24:20
those.
24:21
Plug
24:21
them
24:21
into
24:21
the
24:22
outlet
24:22
oil
24:23
air
24:23
fresheners
24:23
out
24:24
there.
24:24
If
24:25
you
24:25
look
24:25
at
24:25
the
24:25
liquid
24:25
in
24:26
there,
24:26
you're
24:26
just
24:26
vaping
24:27
it.
24:27
You're
24:27
breathing
24:28
that
24:28
stuff
24:28
in.
24:29
It's
24:29
not
24:29
healthy.
24:31
You're
24:31
better
24:31
to
24:32
deal
24:32
with
24:32
the
24:32
issue
24:32
of
24:33
the
24:33
smell,
24:34
do
24:34
ventilation,
24:36
capturing
24:36
whatever
24:37
that
24:37
is,
24:37
controlling
24:38
whatever
24:38
it
24:38
is,
24:39
whether
24:39
it's
24:39
a
24:39
dog
24:40
or
24:40
anything
24:40
else,
24:41
a
24:41
little
24:41
more
24:41
cleaning
24:42
probably
24:42
will
24:43
do
24:43
you
24:43
better
24:44
than
24:44
to
24:44
put
24:44
that
24:45
stuff
24:45
into
24:45
the
24:45
air
24:46
and
24:46
into
24:46
your
24:47
lungs.
24:48
Take
24:48
a
24:48
look
24:48
at
24:48
the
24:48
air
24:48
freshener.
24:49
I
24:49
don't
24:49
want
24:49
that
24:49
stuff
24:50
or
24:50
the
24:50
chemicals
24:50
in
24:51
it.
24:52
So
24:52
be
24:52
really
24:52
careful
24:53
with
24:54
the
24:54
air
24:54
fresheners
24:55
you're
24:55
using.
24:55
That
24:56
can
24:56
be
24:56
a
24:56
big
24:56
one.
24:57
Now,
24:57
the
24:57
next
24:58
one
24:58
is
24:58
interesting
24:59
and
24:59
this
25:00
is
25:00
something
25:00
my
25:00
friend
25:01
Caroline
25:01
Blazowski,
25:02
America's
25:03
healthy
25:03
home
25:03
expert,
25:04
taught
25:04
me.
25:05
Those
25:05
disinfecting
25:06
wipes
25:07
that
25:08
come
25:08
in
25:08
the
25:08
metal
25:09
round,
25:10
there's
25:10
a
25:10
couple
25:10
different
25:11
there's
25:11
the
25:12
blue
25:12
ones,
25:12
there's
25:12
yellow
25:13
ones,
25:13
there's
25:14
different
25:14
colors
25:14
of
25:15
them.
25:15
But
25:16
really
25:16
those
25:16
round
25:17
canisters
25:17
of
25:18
disinfecting
25:18
wipes
25:19
those
25:19
put
25:20
up,
25:21
those
25:21
wipes
25:22
put
25:22
out
25:22
so
25:23
many
25:23
VOCs
25:24
and
25:24
chemicals.
25:25
She
25:25
could
25:26
do
25:26
an
25:26
air
25:26
quality
25:27
test
25:28
and
25:29
look
25:29
her
25:29
up
25:30
and
25:30
you
25:30
can
25:30
find
25:30
out
25:31
if
25:31
you
25:31
want
25:31
to
25:31
have
25:31
one
25:31
of
25:31
these
25:32
air
25:32
quality
25:32
tests
25:32
done.
25:33
She
25:33
can
25:33
basically
25:34
tell
25:34
you
25:34
how
25:34
many
25:34
of
25:34
those
25:35
you
25:35
have
25:35
in
25:35
your
25:35
house
25:35
by
25:35
looking
25:36
at
25:36
the
25:36
air
25:36
quality
25:36
test.
25:37
Those
25:37
things
25:38
are
25:38
always
25:39
off
25:39
casting
25:40
tons
25:40
of
25:40
chemicals
25:40
inside
25:41
your
25:41
house
25:42
if
25:42
you're
25:42
going
25:43
to
25:43
use
25:43
them.
25:43
I
25:43
get
25:43
it
25:43
for
25:44
disinfecting,
25:44
but
25:44
I
25:45
would
25:45
store
25:45
those
25:45
out
25:45
in
25:45
the
25:46
shed,
25:46
not
25:46
under
25:46
the
25:47
sink.
25:47
That's
25:47
one
25:47
of
25:48
those
25:48
things
25:48
that
25:48
those
25:49
disinfecting
25:49
wipes
25:50
are
25:50
really
25:51
an
25:51
air
25:51
quality
25:52
issue.
25:53
There
25:53
are
25:53
so
25:54
many
25:54
chemicals
25:54
in
25:54
those
25:55
things
25:56
that
25:56
you're
25:57
just
25:57
introducing
25:58
your
25:58
home
25:58
and
25:59
a
25:59
lot
25:59
of
25:59
your
25:59
cleaners
26:00
have
26:00
these
26:00
chemicals.
26:01
So
26:02
an
26:02
interesting
26:02
test.
26:03
Take
26:04
your
26:04
air
26:05
quality
26:05
monitor,
26:06
wipe
26:07
down
26:07
a
26:07
surface
26:07
next
26:07
to
26:08
him,
26:08
but
26:08
the
26:08
air
26:08
quality
26:08
monitor
26:09
there,
26:09
see
26:09
what
26:09
happens.
26:10
That
26:11
way
26:11
you
26:11
can
26:11
see
26:11
what's
26:12
going
26:12
on.
26:13
You'd
26:13
be
26:13
surprised
26:15
where
26:15
the
26:15
VOC
26:16
go,
26:17
what
26:17
happens
26:17
there.
26:18
And
26:19
just
26:19
like
26:19
when
26:19
you
26:19
buy
26:19
a
26:20
new
26:20
couch
26:20
or
26:20
have
26:20
new
26:21
carpet
26:21
installed,
26:22
you
26:22
put
26:22
that
26:22
air
26:22
quality
26:23
monitor
26:23
there
26:23
and
26:23
you're
26:23
going
26:23
to
26:24
go,
26:24
wow,
26:24
okay,
26:25
that's
26:26
huge.
26:26
You'll
26:27
be
26:27
shocked.
26:28
Do
26:28
a
26:28
little
26:28
of
26:28
your
26:28
own
26:29
research
26:29
and
26:30
see
26:31
what
26:31
chemicals
26:31
you're
26:32
using
26:32
and
26:32
make
26:32
sure
26:32
that
26:32
you're
26:33
getting
26:33
them
26:33
correct.
26:34
So
26:35
watch
26:35
out
26:35
for
26:35
those
26:35
household
26:36
cleaning
26:36
products.
26:36
You
26:37
think
26:37
you're
26:37
doing
26:37
something
26:37
better
26:38
and
26:38
it
26:38
smells
26:38
nice
26:39
and
26:39
clean,
26:40
you
26:40
might
26:40
be
26:40
causing
26:41
more
26:41
of
26:41
an
26:41
issue
26:41
by
26:42
using
26:42
that.
26:43
Now,
26:43
the
26:43
next
26:44
one
26:44
here
26:44
is
26:44
big
26:44
building
26:45
materials
26:45
and
26:45
furniture.
26:47
Lot
26:47
of
26:47
formaldehydes
26:48
out
26:48
there.
26:49
Formaldehyde
26:50
is
26:50
also
26:51
naturally
26:52
occurring.
26:53
An
26:53
apple
26:54
has
26:54
a
26:54
lot
26:54
of
26:55
formaldehyde
26:55
in
26:55
it.
26:56
So
26:57
that's
26:57
a
26:57
big
26:57
issue.
26:58
Take
26:59
control
26:59
of
27:00
what
27:00
you're
27:00
putting
27:00
in
27:00
your
27:00
house.
27:01
When
27:01
you
27:02
go
27:02
to
27:02
that
27:02
fast
27:02
fashion
27:04
website
27:04
out
27:04
of
27:05
China
27:06
and
27:06
you
27:06
order
27:06
a
27:06
couch
27:07
and
27:08
it
27:08
shows
27:08
up,
27:09
be
27:09
careful
27:09
what's
27:10
coming
27:10
in.
27:11
The
27:11
wood,
27:12
the
27:13
fabrics.
27:14
You
27:14
could
27:14
have
27:15
a
27:15
nightmare.
27:16
I
27:17
was
27:17
testing
27:17
in
27:17
my
27:18
house
27:18
and
27:18
I
27:18
found
27:18
these
27:20
super
27:20
cheap
27:20
pillows
27:21
that
27:22
my
27:22
ex
27:22
had
27:22
bought.
27:23
Wow.
27:23
These
27:24
things
27:24
were
27:24
kicking
27:24
off
27:25
tons
27:26
of
27:26
VOCs,
27:27
tons
27:28
of
27:28
formaldehyde.
27:29
Brutal.
27:30
It
27:30
was
27:31
affecting
27:31
the
27:32
entire
27:32
room
27:33
with
27:33
two
27:33
pillows.
27:34
So
27:34
be
27:35
careful
27:35
with
27:35
what
27:35
you're
27:36
doing
27:36
out
27:36
there.
27:37
That
27:37
stuff
27:37
can
27:38
be.
27:38
That's
27:38
where
27:38
that
27:38
air
27:38
quality
27:39
monitor
27:39
can
27:39
really
27:39
make
27:39
a
27:39
big
27:40
difference
27:40
to
27:40
walk
27:40
around.
27:41
You'll
27:41
be
27:41
shocked.
27:42
You'll
27:42
be
27:42
absolutely
27:43
shocked.
27:45
So
27:45
watch
27:45
those
27:46
building
27:46
materials,
27:47
flooring.
27:48
We
27:48
had
27:48
that
27:48
big
27:48
thing
27:49
with
27:49
Lumber
27:49
Liquidators
27:50
years
27:50
ago
27:50
where
27:51
they
27:51
had
27:51
the
27:51
stuff
27:52
that
27:52
was
27:52
falsely
27:52
stamped
27:53
with
27:53
the
27:54
carb
27:55
saying
27:55
that
27:55
the
27:55
California
27:56
Air
27:56
Resource
27:57
Board
27:57
had
27:58
approved
27:58
them
27:59
for
27:59
not
27:59
having
28:00
any
28:00
added
28:01
urea.
28:01
Formaldehyde.
28:02
And
28:02
they
28:02
met
28:02
the
28:03
standard
28:03
and
28:03
they
28:03
didn't.
28:04
So
28:05
that's
28:05
where
28:05
the
28:05
issues
28:05
are.
28:06
Those
28:06
glues
28:06
are
28:06
something
28:06
you
28:07
got
28:07
to
28:07
be
28:07
very
28:07
careful
28:07
with
28:08
because
28:08
they're
28:08
cheap,
28:09
they
28:09
work
28:09
well,
28:10
and
28:10
they
28:10
off
28:11
gas
28:11
a
28:11
ton
28:11
of
28:11
formaldehyde.
28:12
So
28:12
be
28:12
careful
28:13
there.
28:14
Now,
28:14
here's
28:14
the
28:14
next
28:14
one
28:15
here
28:15
that
28:15
Caroline
28:16
got
28:16
me
28:16
on
28:16
too.
28:16
And
28:17
I
28:17
was
28:17
shocked.
28:18
Storing
28:19
those
28:19
chemicals
28:20
in
28:20
the
28:21
garage
28:22
that's
28:22
attached
28:23
to
28:23
the
28:23
home.
28:23
Think
28:23
about
28:24
this.
28:25
You
28:25
walked
28:25
used
28:25
to
28:26
walk
28:26
out
28:26
into
28:26
my
28:26
garage,
28:27
look
28:28
on
28:28
the
28:28
shelf
28:28
and
28:28
I'd
28:28
have
28:29
brake
28:29
clean.
28:31
I'd
28:31
have
28:31
two
28:31
different
28:31
kinds
28:32
of
28:32
that.
28:32
I
28:32
have
28:32
all
28:33
this
28:33
different
28:33
stuff
28:33
sitting
28:34
there.
28:35
Paint
28:35
strippers,
28:35
paint
28:36
thinners,
28:37
roundup.
28:38
Go
28:39
down
28:39
the
28:39
list.
28:39
All
28:40
these
28:40
chemicals
28:40
in
28:41
there
28:41
that
28:41
were
28:41
on
28:41
my
28:41
shelf.
28:43
The
28:43
problem
28:43
is
28:43
your
28:44
detached
28:44
garage.
28:45
And
28:45
especially
28:45
like
28:45
mine,
28:46
where
28:46
the
28:46
H
28:47
vac
28:47
system
28:48
is
28:48
located
28:48
into
28:48
it
28:49
can
28:49
easily
28:50
grab
28:50
the
28:50
air
28:51
out
28:51
of
28:51
there.
28:52
So
28:52
then
28:52
you're
28:52
introducing
28:53
that
28:53
in.
28:54
So
28:54
you're
28:54
better
28:54
off
28:55
taking
28:55
all
28:55
those
28:55
chemicals.
28:56
Mine
28:57
is
28:57
actually
28:57
a
28:57
located
28:58
mine
28:58
in
28:58
some
28:58
metal
28:59
cabinets
28:59
out
28:59
in
28:59
my
28:59
carport
29:00
that's
29:00
outside.
29:01
And
29:02
then
29:02
made
29:02
sure
29:02
everything
29:03
was
29:03
sealed
29:03
up
29:03
between
29:03
that
29:04
and
29:04
now
29:04
it's
29:04
out
29:05
in
29:05
the
29:05
air
29:05
out
29:05
there
29:05
where
29:06
it's
29:06
not
29:06
going
29:07
to
29:07
be
29:07
off
29:07
gassing
29:07
in
29:07
my
29:08
garage.
29:09
So
29:09
that
29:09
is
29:09
a
29:09
super
29:10
important
29:10
one
29:10
to
29:10
make
29:11
sure
29:11
that
29:11
you've
29:11
got
29:11
that
29:11
dialed
29:12
in.
29:12
So
29:13
get
29:13
all
29:13
those
29:13
chemicals
29:14
out
29:14
in
29:14
a
29:15
garden
29:15
shed,
29:16
something
29:16
like
29:16
that.
29:17
If
29:17
you
29:18
need
29:18
an
29:18
excuse
29:18
to
29:19
build
29:19
a
29:19
garden
29:19
shed,
29:19
there's
29:20
a
29:20
great
29:20
one.
29:20
Put
29:20
it
29:21
out
29:21
there
29:21
where
29:21
you
29:21
can
29:21
store
29:22
all
29:22
that
29:22
stuff
29:22
and
29:22
just
29:22
keep
29:23
it
29:23
away
29:23
from
29:23
the
29:23
house.
29:24
So
29:24
it's
29:24
not
29:25
bringing
29:25
those
29:25
things
29:26
inside
29:26
to
29:26
your
29:26
home.
29:27
That's
29:27
a
29:27
huge
29:27
one
29:28
right
29:28
there.
29:28
That'll
29:29
make
29:29
a
29:29
big
29:29
difference
29:29
on
29:30
air
29:30
quality
29:31
and
29:31
what
29:31
you
29:31
could
29:31
do.
29:32
Take
29:32
that
29:32
air
29:33
quality
29:33
monitor,
29:33
go
29:33
over
29:33
there
29:34
and
29:34
take
29:34
a
29:34
look
29:34
at
29:34
it
29:34
and
29:34
see
29:35
what's
29:35
coming
29:35
out
29:35
of
29:35
there.
29:36
Sometimes
29:37
it's
29:37
leaking
29:37
out
29:37
of
29:37
cans
29:38
you
29:38
didn't
29:38
think
29:38
it
29:38
would
29:38
be
29:38
coming
29:39
out
29:39
of,
29:39
but
29:39
it
29:39
is.
29:40
So
29:41
pay
29:41
attention
29:41
to
29:41
that.
29:42
Now,
29:43
the
29:43
next
29:44
one
29:44
here
29:44
is
29:44
a
29:44
big
29:44
one.
29:45
And
29:45
we're
29:45
going
29:45
to
29:45
talk
29:45
about
29:46
this
29:46
for
29:46
a
29:46
little
29:46
bit.
29:47
And
29:47
we
29:48
talked
29:48
a
29:48
little
29:48
bit
29:48
about
29:48
it
29:49
when
29:49
we
29:49
were
29:49
talking
29:49
about
29:49
humidity.
29:50
But
29:51
that
29:51
crawl
29:51
space
29:52
or
29:52
basement,
29:53
if
29:53
you
29:53
have
29:53
a
29:53
crawl
29:54
space,
29:55
which
29:55
is
29:55
that
29:55
little
29:56
space
29:56
that's
29:56
underneath
29:57
the
29:57
house,
29:58
that's
29:58
got
29:58
dirt,
29:59
maybe
29:59
dirt
29:59
with
29:59
plastic
30:00
if
30:00
it
30:00
was
30:00
done
30:00
right.
30:01
And
30:02
you've
30:02
got
30:02
foundation
30:02
vents
30:03
around
30:03
the
30:03
house.
30:04
If
30:04
you've
30:04
got
30:04
that,
30:05
you
30:05
go
30:05
to
30:05
crawl
30:05
space.
30:06
That
30:07
air
30:07
down
30:07
there
30:08
is
30:09
going
30:09
to
30:09
seep
30:10
up
30:10
into
30:10
your
30:11
home.
30:12
Now
30:12
if
30:12
you
30:12
have
30:12
that
30:13
old
30:14
90s
30:14
2000s
30:15
cream
30:15
colored
30:16
carpet
30:16
and
30:16
you're
30:17
like,
30:17
wow,
30:18
my
30:18
vacuum
30:19
is
30:19
missing
30:19
around
30:19
the
30:19
edges
30:20
of
30:20
the
30:20
walls
30:21
or
30:22
even
30:22
underneath
30:22
the
30:23
door.
30:24
This
30:24
gets
30:25
interesting.
30:25
What
30:26
is,
30:26
you'll
30:26
see
30:26
that
30:27
little
30:27
dirty
30:27
stain
30:28
on
30:28
the
30:29
carpet.
30:30
What
30:30
is
30:30
that?
30:31
That's
30:31
a
30:31
filtration.
30:32
That
30:33
is
30:33
the
30:33
dirty
30:33
air
30:34
that
30:34
is
30:34
coming
30:34
through
30:35
and
30:35
pushing
30:36
that
30:36
into
30:38
the
30:38
carpet
30:38
fibers
30:39
and
30:39
it's
30:39
getting
30:40
like
30:40
a
30:40
air
30:40
filter.
30:41
So
30:42
those
30:42
are
30:42
air
30:42
leaks
30:43
around
30:43
the
30:43
base
30:44
underneath
30:44
the
30:44
wall.
30:45
So
30:46
that
30:46
carpet
30:46
is
30:46
like
30:46
a
30:47
filter
30:47
medium.
30:48
And
30:48
so
30:48
that's
30:49
how
30:49
you
30:49
can
30:49
tell
30:49
where
30:49
that
30:49
air
30:50
is
30:50
coming
30:50
through
30:50
and
30:50
how
30:51
dirty
30:51
it
30:51
is.
30:52
So
30:52
what
30:53
I
30:53
recommend
30:54
is
30:54
getting
30:54
underneath
30:55
there.
30:55
If
30:55
you've
30:56
got
30:56
a
30:56
crawl
30:56
space,
30:57
I
30:58
would
30:58
go
30:58
through
30:58
there
30:59
and
30:59
really
30:59
put
31:00
down
31:00
some
31:00
heavy
31:01
duty
31:01
crawl
31:02
space
31:03
grade
31:04
thick
31:05
plastic,
31:06
overlap
31:07
it,
31:08
seal
31:08
it,
31:08
tape
31:09
it,
31:09
get
31:10
it
31:10
sealed
31:10
up
31:10
as
31:11
best
31:11
you
31:11
can
31:12
and
31:12
have
31:12
some
31:12
good
31:13
foundation
31:13
vents
31:13
that'll
31:14
air
31:14
it
31:14
out.
31:15
Now
31:16
here's
31:16
the
31:16
thing.
31:16
If
31:16
you
31:17
encapsulate
31:17
that
31:18
and
31:18
seal
31:18
it
31:18
up
31:19
completely,
31:20
that
31:20
does
31:21
work.
31:21
However,
31:22
you
31:22
now
31:23
need
31:23
to
31:23
install
31:24
either
31:24
dehumidifier
31:25
in
31:26
that
31:26
space
31:26
or
31:26
condition
31:27
and
31:27
heat
31:28
and
31:28
cool
31:28
that
31:28
space.
31:28
Which
31:29
means
31:29
you're
31:29
gonna
31:29
have
31:29
to
31:29
come
31:29
in
31:29
and
31:30
resize
31:30
your
31:30
H
31:31
vac
31:31
system
31:32
most
31:32
likely.
31:33
So
31:33
it's
31:33
easier
31:34
in
31:34
most
31:34
cases
31:35
to
31:35
go
31:35
ahead
31:35
and
31:35
put
31:36
in
31:36
a
31:36
any
31:37
kind
31:37
of
31:37
a
31:38
built
31:38
in
31:39
style
31:40
like
31:40
one
31:40
Santa
31:41
Fe
31:41
makes
31:41
or
31:41
whoever
31:42
you're
31:42
using
31:43
air
31:43
filtration
31:44
unit
31:44
for
31:44
inside
31:45
your
31:45
home.
31:46
That
31:46
way
31:46
you're
31:46
good
31:46
to
31:47
go.
31:47
That
31:47
would
31:47
go
31:48
in
31:48
that
31:48
crawl
31:48
space,
31:48
that's
31:49
going
31:49
to
31:49
keep
31:49
that
31:49
humidity
31:50
down
31:51
and
31:51
it's
31:51
going
31:51
to
31:51
keep
31:52
the
31:52
air
31:52
fresh
31:52
down
31:52
there.
31:53
And
31:53
then
31:53
you
31:53
can
31:54
keep
31:54
that
31:54
sealed
31:54
up.
31:55
That's
31:55
a
31:55
great
31:56
way
31:56
to
31:56
do
31:56
it.
31:57
When
31:57
you
31:57
see
31:58
companies
31:58
come
31:58
in
31:59
and
31:59
do
31:59
it,
31:59
they
31:59
do
31:59
a
31:59
great
32:00
job.
32:00
But
32:01
it's
32:01
going
32:01
to
32:01
be
32:01
fairly
32:02
expensive
32:02
because
32:02
you've
32:02
got
32:03
labor
32:03
of
32:03
people
32:03
crawling
32:04
around
32:04
down
32:04

35:39
And
35:39
to
35:40
recap,
35:41
we
35:41
had
35:41
radon
35:42
high
35:43
humidity,
35:44
not
35:44
using
35:44

35:49
Poor

not
35:51
filtering
35:51
your

35:52
correctly.
35:52
And
35:53
again
35:53
on
35:53
that
35:53
one
35:53
there,
35:54
just
35:54
make
35:54
sure
35:54
you
35:54
don't
35:54
put
35:54
too
35:55
big
35:55
a
35:55
filter
35:55
in.
35:55
If
35:56
you
35:56
put
35:56
too
35:56
big
35:56
a
35:56
filter
35:57
in
35:57
your

35:58
that
35:59

36:00
up
36:00
in
36:00

36:01
So
36:01
always
36:02
check
36:02
that
36:03
H
36:03

36:04

36:04
to
36:04
make
36:05

you've
36:05
got
36:05
that
36:05
dialed
36:06
in.
36:06
And
36:07
then
36:07
using
36:07
those
36:08
air
36:08
fresheners
36:09
inside
36:09
your
36:09
home,
36:10
those
36:10
are
36:10
bad
36:10
offenders
36:11
at
36:11
putting
36:12

36:12
chemicals
36:12
that
36:12
you
36:13
don't
36:13
want.
36:13
It
36:14
might
36:14
smell
36:14
fresh,
36:15
but
36:15
that's
36:15
fresh
36:16
chemicals
36:16
that
36:16
you've
36:17
got
36:17
you
36:17
need
36:17
to
36:17
be
36:18
very
36:18
careful
36:18
with.
36:19
Now
36:19
the
36:20
next
36:20
one
36:20
here
36:20
is
36:21
household
36:21
cleaning
36:22
products
36:22
to
36:22
be
36:22
careful
36:22
with.
36:24
Number
36:24
six
36:24
building
36:25
materials
36:25
and
36:25
furniture.
36:26
Watch
36:27
out
36:27
for
36:27
those
36:27
formaldehydes
36:28
and
36:28
VOCs
36:28
and
36:29
that
36:29
storing
36:30
chemicals
36:30
in
36:30
your
36:30
attached
36:31
garage.
36:31
All
36:32
those
36:32
yard
36:32
care,
36:33
car,
36:33
automotive,
36:34
whatever
36:35
chemicals
36:35
can
36:36
be
36:36
really
36:36
bad.
36:37
And
36:37
then
36:37
we
36:37
are
36:37
just
36:38
talking
36:38
about
36:38
a
36:39
dirty
36:39
crawl
36:39
space
36:40
or
36:40
basement.
36:41
Now
36:42
the
36:42
next
36:42
one
36:42
here
36:42
is
36:42
interesting
36:44
and
36:44
I
36:45
can
36:45
be
36:45
an
36:45
offender
36:46
at
36:46
this
36:46
one.
36:47
Candles
36:48
and
36:48
smoking
36:49
open
36:49
flame
36:50
candles.
36:51
Beautiful.
36:52
Definitely
36:53
puts
36:53
up.
36:54
You're
36:54
burning
36:55
wax,
36:55
you're
36:55
burning
36:55
the
36:56
wick,
36:56
you're
36:57
burning
36:57
stuff
36:57
up.
36:58
Not
36:58
the
36:59
best
36:59
for
36:59
indoor
36:59
air
37:00
quality,
37:00
is
37:01
it?
37:01
Awesome?
37:01
Yeah.
37:02
Do
37:02
I
37:02
like
37:02
the
37:02
battery
37:03
ones?
37:03
Not
37:03
really.
37:05
But
37:05
those
37:06
candles
37:06
can
37:06
be
37:07
really
37:07
cool
37:07
and
37:08
be
37:08
the
37:08
great
37:09
mood
37:09
setter
37:10
for
37:10
relaxation.
37:11
So
37:11
use
37:12
them
37:12
with
37:12
care.
37:12
Make
37:13
sure
37:13
you've
37:13
got
37:13
a
37:13
good
37:13
air
37:14
filtration
37:15
so
37:15
that
37:15
air
37:15
filtration
37:16
will
37:16
take
37:16
care
37:16
of
37:16
things
37:17
in
37:17
your
37:17
home
37:17
if
37:18
you're
37:18
using
37:18
them.
37:18
But
37:18
just
37:19
use
37:19
them
37:19
wisely.
37:20
Now
37:21
smoking
37:21
or
37:21
vaping
37:22
we
37:22
don't
37:23
have
37:23
to
37:23
talk
37:23
about
37:23
that
37:23
too
37:24
much.
37:24
If
37:25
someone's
37:25
doing
37:25
that
37:25
in
37:25
the
37:26
house.
37:26
Yeah,
37:26
you're
37:27
adding
37:27
a
37:27
bunch
37:27
of
37:27
stuff
37:27
inside
37:28
the
37:28
house
37:28
that
37:28
you
37:28
don't
37:29
want.
37:29
So
37:30
make
37:30
sure
37:30
that
37:30
somebody's
37:31
going
37:31
outside
37:31
for
37:31
that.
37:32
Don't
37:32
introduce
37:33
that
37:33
into
37:34
your
37:34
home
37:35
because
37:35
that's
37:35
going
37:35
to
37:36
hurt
37:36
the
37:36
air
37:36
quality
37:36
for
37:37
everyone,
37:37
including
37:38
your
37:38
pets.
37:39
So
37:39
think
37:39
about
37:40
them.
37:41
Now,
37:41
one
37:41
little
37:41
side
37:42
note,
37:42
with
37:42
pets,
37:42
and
37:43
that's
37:43
another
37:43
thing,
37:43
when
37:43
we
37:43
go
37:44
back
37:44
to
37:44
air
37:44
filtration
37:44
as
37:45
well,
37:46
pets
37:46
give
37:46
off
37:47
a
37:47
ton
37:48
and
37:48
a
37:49
ton
37:49
of
37:49
dander.
37:50
Pet
37:50
hair,
37:51
depending
37:52
on
37:52
the
37:52
pet
37:52
dogs,
37:53
cats,
37:53
whatever,
37:54
just
37:54
be
37:55
very
37:55
careful.
37:56
You
37:56
will
37:56
have
37:57
to
37:57
do
37:57
more
37:57
cleaning.
37:58
You
37:58
will
37:59
want
37:59
to
37:59
make
37:59
sure,
37:59
I
38:00
think
38:00
with
38:00
Pats,
38:00
having
38:01
carpets
38:01
a
38:01
really
38:02
bad
38:02
idea
38:03
because
38:03
that
38:03
hair
38:03
just
38:04
gets
38:04
caught
38:04
down
38:04
in
38:04
there
38:05
and
38:05
the
38:05
dander.
38:05
This
38:06
carpet
38:06
is
38:06
really
38:07
the
38:07
worst
38:07
in
38:07
your
38:08
house
38:08
for
38:08
keeping
38:09
things
38:09
not
38:10
clean.
38:11
It
38:11
sucks
38:12
down
38:12
all
38:13
of
38:13
the.
38:13
It
38:14
just
38:14
hides
38:14
all
38:14
the
38:15
hair
38:15
and
38:15
dander,
38:15
dust
38:16
mites,
38:16
all
38:16
that
38:16
stuff.
38:17
And
38:17
it
38:17
really
38:18
just
38:18
is
38:18
a
38:19
medium
38:19
for
38:19
holding
38:20
dirt.
38:20
So,
38:21
like
38:21
my
38:21
house
38:21
here,
38:22
I'm
38:22
putting
38:22
up
38:22
for
38:22
sale.
38:23
I
38:23
put
38:23
all
38:24
hard
38:24
floor
38:25
surfaces
38:25
in.
38:26
Any
38:26
rugs
38:27
were
38:27
just
38:27
area
38:27
rugs
38:28
and
38:28
I
38:28
went
38:28
with
38:29
that.
38:29
And
38:29
it
38:29
really
38:29
kept
38:30
the
38:30
air
38:30
so
38:30
much
38:31
cleaner
38:31
in
38:31
there
38:31
because
38:31
it
38:31
wasn't
38:32
capturing
38:32
all
38:33
those
38:33
things
38:33
that
38:33
were
38:33
falling
38:34
out
38:34
of
38:34
the
38:34
air.
38:35
So
38:35
just
38:36
be
38:36
careful
38:36
with
38:36
your
38:36
pets
38:37
out
38:37
there.
38:37
I
38:37
love
38:38
dogs.
38:38
I
38:38
love,
38:39
love
38:39
them
38:39
to
38:39
death.
38:40
Cats,
38:40
not
38:40
so
38:41
much
38:41
because
38:41
I'm
38:42
allergic,
38:42
but
38:43
just
38:43
be
38:43
careful
38:43
that.
38:45
Now
38:45
the
38:45
next
38:45
one
38:46
here
38:46
is
38:46
an
38:46
important
38:46
one
38:47
and
38:47
it's
38:47
something
38:47
that
38:47
many
38:48
of
38:48
us
38:48
do
38:48
all
38:48
the
38:48
time
38:50
and
38:50
it's
38:50
bringing
38:50
in
38:51
outdoor
38:52
contaminants.
38:53
What
38:53
can
38:53
that
38:54
mean?
38:55
It's
38:55
a
38:55
beautiful
38:55
summer
38:56
day
38:56
and
38:56
you
38:56
open
38:56
up
38:57
all
38:57
the
38:57
windows
38:57
because
38:57
it's
38:58
5
38:58
degrees
38:58
cooler
38:59
out
38:59
there
38:59
and
38:59
you
38:59
get
38:59
that
39:00
summer
39:00
breeze.
39:00
Maybe
39:00
it's
39:01
a
39:01
coastal
39:01
breeze,
39:02
maybe
39:02
it's
39:03
fresh
39:03
air
39:03
coming
39:03
out
39:03
of
39:04
the
39:04
mountains.
39:04
Maybe
39:05
it's
39:05
just
39:05
springtime.
39:06
But
39:06
the
39:07
problem
39:07
is,
39:07
many
39:08
times,
39:08
and
39:09
especially
39:09
if
39:09
you
39:09
haven't
39:09
cleaned
39:10
your
39:10
window
39:10
screens,
39:11
those
39:11
can
39:11
be
39:11
a
39:11
filter
39:11
medium
39:12
as
39:12
well.
39:13
And
39:13
sometimes
39:13
a
39:13
nice
39:14
little
39:14
breeze
39:14
will
39:14
blow
39:15
that
39:15
right
39:15
through
39:15
there
39:16
and
39:16
into
39:16
your
39:16
home.
39:16
So
39:17
sometimes
39:17
the
39:18
air
39:18
quality
39:18
is
39:18
worse
39:19
outside
39:19
than
39:19
it
39:20
is
39:20
inside.
39:21
And
39:21
you
39:21
open
39:21
up
39:22
that
39:23
windows,
39:24
doors
39:25
with
39:25
the
39:25
screens
39:26
and
39:26
all
39:27
of
39:27
a
39:27
sudden
39:27
you've
39:28
worsened
39:29
your
39:29
indoor
39:30
air
39:30
quality.
39:31
Pollen,
39:33
exhaust
39:33
from
39:34
the
39:34
roadway
39:34
next
39:35
to
39:35
you
39:35
or
39:35
the
39:35
freeway,
39:36
any
39:36
of
39:37
those
39:37
things.
39:38
Maybe
39:38
it's
39:38
the
39:38
mold
39:39
and
39:40
all
39:40
the
39:41
allergens
39:41
coming
39:41
out
39:42
of
39:42
the
39:42
pond
39:42
or
39:42
the
39:43
swamp
39:43
near
39:43
you,
39:44
whatever
39:44
it
39:45
is,
39:45
dust
39:46
from
39:46
the
39:46
desert,
39:47
all
39:48
that
39:48
Stuff
39:49
can
39:49
be
39:49
an
39:49
issue,
39:49
so
39:50
be
39:50
careful
39:50
of
39:50
that.
39:51
Now
39:51
the
39:52
next
39:52
one
39:52
is
39:52
a
39:52
big
39:52
one
39:53
and
39:53
it's
39:54
something
39:54
that
39:55
I'm
39:55
doing
39:55
a
39:55
better
39:55
job
39:56
of.
39:56
Now,
39:57
shoes.
39:59
You
39:59
walk
40:00
in
40:00
a
40:00
city,
40:02
especially
40:02
like
40:03
me
40:03
in
40:03
Portland.
40:03
Here
40:04
you
40:05
walk
40:05
downtown.
40:06
That
40:06
is
40:07
a
40:07
biohazard
40:08
sidewalk.
40:09
Then
40:09
you
40:09
come
40:09
home.
40:10
Do
40:10
you
40:10
take
40:10
the
40:11
shoes
40:11
off
40:11
outside
40:11
and
40:12
carry
40:12
them
40:12
in
40:12
and
40:12
put
40:12
them
40:13
in
40:13
a
40:13
place?
40:14
Do
40:14
you
40:14
clean
40:15
those
40:15
shoes
40:15
up
40:15
at
40:15
all?
40:16
What's
40:17
growing
40:17
on
40:17
those
40:18
things?
40:19
Are
40:19
you
40:19
walking
40:20
through
40:20
your
40:20
carpets
40:21
of
40:21
the
40:21
house?
40:21
What
40:21
are
40:21
you
40:22
doing?
40:23
Is
40:23
that
40:23
getting
40:23
even
40:24
worse?
40:25
So
40:25
think
40:25
about
40:26
what
40:26
you're
40:26
dragging
40:27
inside
40:27
by
40:27
wearing
40:28
your
40:28
shoes
40:28
and
40:28
boots
40:28
inside
40:29
the
40:29
house.
40:30
Is
40:30
it
40:30
good
40:30
to
40:31
have
40:31
an
40:31
area
40:31
where
40:31
you
40:31
walk
40:32
in
40:32
that's
40:32
a
40:32
hard
40:32
surface
40:33
that
40:33
you
40:33
can
40:33
keep
40:33
clean?
40:34
Take
40:34
those
40:34
off
40:35
and
40:35
store
40:35
them
40:35
away
40:36
there.
40:37
How
40:37
much
40:37
sanitizing
40:38
do
40:38
you
40:38
do
40:38
of
40:39
the
40:39
soles
40:39
of
40:39
your
40:39
shoes
40:41
and
40:41
how
40:41
far
40:41
do
40:41
you
40:42
carry
40:42
them
40:42
in
40:42
the
40:42
house?
40:43
Something
40:43
to
40:43
think
40:44
about.
40:45
The
40:45
same
40:45
with
40:45
your
40:45
clothes.
40:47
I'm
40:47
a
40:47
huge
40:48
offender
40:48
at
40:49
this.
40:50
I'll
40:50
be
40:50
outside
40:50
working
40:51
on
40:51
the
40:51
lawn.
40:51
I'll
40:52
be
40:53
one
40:53
of
40:53
those
40:53
things
40:53
where
40:53
you're
40:54
walking
40:54
around
40:54
the
40:54
house,
40:54
you're
40:55
coming
40:55
in,
40:55
you're
40:55
coming
40:56
out,
40:56
cooling
40:57
off,
40:58
you're
40:58
bringing
40:59
all
40:59
of
40:59
those
40:59
allergens
41:01
and
41:01
even
41:02
chemicals
41:02
inside
41:03
your
41:03
house.
41:04
So
41:04
maybe
41:04
you're
41:05
better
41:05
off
41:05
coming
41:05
in,
41:06
throwing
41:06
a
41:06
set
41:07
of
41:07
clothes
41:07
in
41:07
the
41:07
laundry
41:08
room,
41:08
swapping
41:09
those
41:09
out
41:09
before
41:10
you
41:10
go
41:10
hit
41:10
the
41:10
shower,
41:11
get
41:12
yourself
41:12
cleaned
41:12
up,
41:13
get
41:13
those
41:14
clothes
41:14
out
41:15
of
41:15
the
41:15
house.
41:15
There
41:16
we're
41:16
into
41:16
the
41:16
laundry.
41:17
So
41:17
it's
41:17
going
41:17
to
41:17
get
41:17
it
41:17
taken
41:18
care
41:18
of.
41:18
Turn
41:18
on
41:18
the
41:18
vent
41:19
fan,
41:19
get
41:19
it
41:20
cleaned
41:20
up
41:20
that
41:20
way.
41:20
So
41:20
you're
41:21
not
41:21
bringing
41:21
in
41:21
all
41:22
those
41:22
dusts,
41:22
allergens,
41:23
chemicals,
41:24
viruses,
41:25
whatever
41:25
that's
41:26
out
41:26
there
41:27
into
41:27
your
41:27
home.
41:28
So
41:29
be
41:29
careful
41:30
with
41:30
all
41:30
those.
41:31
Those
41:31
are
41:31
all
41:32
things
41:32
that
41:32
can
41:32
be
41:33
an
41:33
issue.
41:34
Other
41:35
things
41:35
that
41:35
we
41:35
have
41:35
honorable
41:36
mentions
41:36
out
41:37
there
41:37
for
41:37
indoor
41:38
air
41:38
quality.
41:39
Again,
41:40
just
41:41
making
41:41
sure
41:42
that
41:43
you're
41:43
using
41:43
the
41:43
right
41:44
cleaners
41:44
in
41:44
your
41:44
home,
41:45
the
41:45
right
41:45
chemicals,
41:47
that
41:47
you've
41:47
got
41:47
good
41:48
air
41:48
filtration.
41:49
These
41:49
are
41:49
some
41:49
of
41:50
the
41:50
keys
41:50
there.
41:51
Now
41:51
finishes.
41:52
When
41:52
you're
41:52
painting,
41:53
pay
41:53
attention
41:54
or
41:54
staining.
41:55
What's
41:56
off
41:56
casting.
41:57
I
41:57
like
41:58
cabinetry
41:58
when
41:59
they're
41:59
put
41:59
in.
41:59
We
41:59
talked
42:00
about
42:00
it
42:00
last
42:00
week.
42:01
Even
42:02
cabinetry,
42:03
that
42:03
is
42:03
a
42:03
baked
42:04
on
42:04
finish,
42:04
that's
42:05
not
42:05
going
42:05
to
42:05
sit
42:05
there
42:06
for
42:06
months.
42:07
It
42:07
still
42:07
has
42:08
to
42:08
cure,
42:08
but
42:09
anytime
42:09
something's
42:10
curing,
42:10
it's
42:10
off
42:10
gassing.
42:12
So
42:12
always
42:12
be
42:13
careful
42:13
with
42:13
what
42:13
paints.
42:14
We
42:15
have
42:15
a
42:15
paint
42:15
here
42:15
locally
42:16
that's
42:16
recycled.
42:17
Not
42:17
going
42:17
to
42:18
use
42:18
the
42:18
name
42:18
because
42:18
I
42:18
don't
42:18
want
42:19
to
42:19
spare
42:19
them
42:19
anymore.
42:20
But
42:20
that
42:21
stuff,
42:21
if
42:21
you
42:21
paint
42:22
it,
42:22
oh
42:22
my
42:22
gosh.
42:23
They
42:24
have
42:24
got
42:24
a
42:24
paint
42:25
cocktail
42:26
there
42:26
that
42:27
smells
42:27
horribly
42:29
and
42:29
I
42:29
don't
42:30
know
42:30
what
42:30
they've
42:30
got
42:30
in
42:30
it,
42:30
but
42:31
it's.
42:31
They
42:31
recycle
42:32
paint,
42:32
which
42:32
I
42:32
love.
42:33
It's
42:33
great.
42:34
I
42:34
won't
42:34
use
42:34
it.
42:35
You
42:35
paint
42:36
it
42:36
on
42:36
something
42:36
until
42:37
that
42:37
cures
42:37
it.
42:37
Smells
42:38
like
42:38
42
42:39
different
42:39
chemicals.
42:40
It
42:40
is
42:40
the
42:41
worst,
42:41
nastiest
42:42
smelling
42:43
paint
42:43
I've
42:43
ever
42:43
had.
42:44
Now,
42:45
I'm
42:45
not
42:45
that
42:46
sensitive
42:47
to
42:47
chemicals
42:48
like
42:48
that,
42:48
but
42:48
holy
42:49
smokes.
42:50
Stay
42:51
away
42:51
from
42:51
the
42:51
recycled
42:52
paint.
42:52
In
42:52
my
42:52
opinion.
42:53
If
42:53
it's
42:54
outside,
42:54
that's
42:54
one
42:54
thing,
42:55
but
42:55
inside
42:57
that
42:57
stuff
42:57
is
42:57
brutal.
42:58
I'm
42:58
gonna
42:58
do
42:58
some
42:58
testing
42:59
on
42:59
it
42:59
to
42:59
see
43:00
how
43:00
it
43:00
looks,
43:01
how
43:01
it
43:01
works.
43:03
But
43:03
I've
43:03
had
43:04
more
43:05
viewers,
43:06
more
43:06
listeners,
43:07
more
43:07
people
43:08
call
43:08
me
43:08
up
43:08
that
43:09
have
43:09
used
43:09
that
43:09
stuff
43:11
trying
43:11
to
43:11
be
43:11
green
43:12
and
43:12
have
43:12
really
43:13
had
43:13
chemical
43:13
issues
43:14
inside
43:14
their
43:14
home
43:14
with
43:15
it.
43:15
So
43:16
I'm
43:16
very
43:16
curious
43:16
to
43:17
see
43:17
what's
43:17
going
43:17
on
43:17
there.
43:18
It
43:18
is
43:18
a
43:18
big
43:19
deal.
43:20
So
43:20
be
43:20
careful
43:20
with
43:21
recycled
43:21
things.
43:22
And
43:23
the
43:23
same
43:23
thing
43:23
goes
43:23
for
43:24
materials.
43:24
If
43:24
you
43:24
go
43:25
get
43:25
that
43:25
old
43:25
barnwood,
43:26
where
43:26
did
43:26
it
43:26
come
43:26
out
43:26
of?
43:27
People
43:27
build.
43:27
I'm
43:28
gonna
43:28
build
43:28
a
43:28
bat
43:28
out
43:29
of
43:29
pallets
43:29
or
43:29
whatever.
43:30
Yeah.
43:31
Was
43:31
that
43:31
hauling
43:31
around
43:32
cancer
43:32
causing
43:32
chemicals?
43:34
What
43:34
was
43:34
used
43:34
that
43:36
I've
43:36
told
43:36
about
43:36
this
43:36
story
43:37
to
43:37
designer
43:38
friends
43:38
and
43:38
of
43:39
course
43:39
on
43:39
this
43:39
show
43:39
before,
43:40
but
43:41
up
43:41
in
43:41
Tacoma,
43:42
Washington
43:43
area
43:43
called
43:43
Nally
43:44
Valley.
43:44
It's
43:44
called
43:45
Nally
43:45
Valley
43:45
because
43:45
that's
43:46
where
43:46
they
43:47
started
43:47
making
43:47
Nally
43:48
pickles.
43:49
They
43:49
had
43:49
these
43:50
redwood
43:50
vats
43:50
that
43:51
literally
43:51
made
43:51
pickles
43:52
for
43:52
100
43:52
years.
43:53
We
43:53
went,
43:53
oh,
43:54
this
43:54
is
43:54
beautiful.
43:55
We're
43:55
going
43:55
to
43:55
build
43:55
something
43:56
out
43:56
of
43:56
it.
43:56
Customer
43:57
bought
43:57
the
43:57
material.
43:58
Client
43:59
did.
43:59
Oh
44:00
my
44:00
gosh.
44:00
There
44:01
was
44:01
no
44:01
way
44:01
we
44:02
were
44:02
ever
44:02
going
44:02
to
44:03
get
44:04
that
44:04
pickle
44:04
smell.
44:04
And
44:05
I
44:05
don't
44:05
like
44:05
pickles,
44:05
so
44:05
it
44:05
was
44:06
even
44:06
worse
44:06
for
44:06
me.
44:06
There
44:07
was
44:07
no
44:07
way
44:08
you
44:08
were
44:08
going
44:08
to
44:08
make
44:09
that
44:09
pickle
44:09
smell
44:10
go
44:10
away
44:10
anytime
44:11
soon
44:11
without
44:11
ruining
44:12
the
44:12
look
44:12
of
44:12
the
44:12
wood.
44:13
It
44:14
was
44:14
brutal.
44:15
So
44:15
be
44:15
careful
44:16
with
44:16
recycled
44:17
repurposed.
44:19
That
44:19
can
44:19
be
44:20
pretty
44:20
crazy.
44:21
All
44:21
right,
44:21
friends,
44:22
that
44:22
wraps
44:22
