Temptation, Repentance, and Christ’s Victory — Preparing for Lent - Fr. Chris Reising - 02/20/2026

The Catholic Morning Show · Feb 20, 2026 · 4m

Fr. Chris Reising, pastor of All Saints Parish in Des Moines, reflects on:

• The connection between Adam and Eve, King David’s repentance, and Christ in the desert

• The three classic temptations: lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life

• Why temptation itself is not sin

• How prayer, fasting, and confession help us remain spiritually free

• How Lent strengthens our relationship with Christ

A powerful reflection to help you begin the Lenten season with clarity and purpose.
