Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Talarico called a religion that excuses cruelty through personal faith “an abomination” and “a cancer on the body of Christ,” then contrasted Republican policies on immigration, poverty, food assistance and Medicaid with Jesus’s teachings.
