- 0:04Speaker 1: He Hello, friends from across the nation, around the world. My
- 0:08Speaker 1: Martin and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories. Tonight,
- 0:13Speaker 1: We're gonna finally be continuing with the Dragon Knights series,
- 0:18Speaker 1: a series that is now twenty three chapters long, I believe,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and is you know, getting more intense with every single chapter.
- 0:27Speaker 1: In the last chapter, we discovered the background of the
- 0:31Speaker 1: Earth Dragon General who turned out to be Bennett's father,
- 0:36Speaker 1: if you remember that, and we're gonna continue on from
- 0:39Speaker 1: there when this series is over. I do plan to
- 0:43Speaker 1: do something else Dragon Knight related. I'm just thinking maybe
- 0:48Speaker 1: more of a you know, a series of individual stories
- 0:52Speaker 1: from the Dragon Knights universe, so people can suggest new
- 0:55Speaker 1: and interesting dragons and writers and things like that. To me,
- 1:00Speaker 1: make one off stories might be the best way to
- 1:01Speaker 1: go for a Bedtime Stories podcast, But you can let
- 1:04Speaker 1: me know your thoughts and your ideas if we do
- 1:07Speaker 1: something like that. If you like the podcast, don't forget
- 1:11Speaker 1: to rate it and review it wherever it is you're listening,
- 1:14Speaker 1: share with a friend, and to support the podcast financially
- 1:19Speaker 1: and to get ad free episodes, you can join us
- 1:22Speaker 1: on Patreon. It does take a lot of effort to
- 1:26Speaker 1: make three episodes a week regularly, so again, I really
- 1:30Speaker 1: appreciate all my Patreon sponsors, and as much as ads
- 1:34Speaker 1: aren't my favorite, they also help the podcast run. Ads
- 1:39Speaker 1: like this possible one. Now it's time to close your eyes,
- 1:45Speaker 1: get as comfy as you can in that bed, and
- 1:47Speaker 1: imagine yourself doing what the kid in the story does.
- 1:53Speaker 1: This one's a bit of a two parter. We're going
- 1:56Speaker 1: to start off from an outside perspective back at the
- 2:01Speaker 1: Earth Dragon's Stronghold, and then go back to you and
- 2:06Speaker 1: your perspective is the main character, if that makes sense.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Chapter twenty three, The Battle for the Earth Dragons, Part one,
- 2:18Speaker 1: Basalts Orders Basalts stood on the highest balcony of the
- 2:24Speaker 1: Earth Dragon's Stronghold, looking out across the mountains. The stronghold
- 2:31Speaker 1: was enormous. Great stone towers rose from the mountains themselves.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Walls thicker than houses surrounded the inner fortress. Well tunnels
- 2:43Speaker 1: twisted beneath the earth in every direction. It had been
- 2:48Speaker 1: rebuilt since the Dragon King's original invasion, but it had
- 2:52Speaker 1: never truly been restored. The dragons living there were all controlled.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Their eyes glowed with the Dragon King's magic. Their riders
- 3:05Speaker 1: commanded them through false connections instead of sharing their power
- 3:10Speaker 1: through true bonds. Basalt knew the difference better than most.
- 3:17Speaker 1: He heard the beating wings above him, and an enormous
- 3:21Speaker 1: elemental dragon descended from the clouds and landed on the balcony.
- 3:27Speaker 1: It was larger than nearly every dragon in the stronghold.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Its scales shifted between black, red, green, blue, and gray,
- 3:40Speaker 1: while strange energy moved beneath them, like light shining through
- 3:45Speaker 1: stained glass. The Dragon King sat upon its back. Three
- 3:52Speaker 1: more elemental dragons landed behind him, each carrying one of
- 3:57Speaker 1: the elementes, the Dagon King's most powerful riders. Basalt lowered
- 4:05Speaker 1: his head, My King, the Dragon King climbed down. You
- 4:12Speaker 1: have heard what has happened. The Fire Dragon's stronghold has fallen.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Hundreds of fire dragons now serve the rebellion. They have
- 4:27Speaker 1: chosen riders. The water stronghold has fallen as well. Splash
- 4:35Speaker 1: and Icetorn betrayed me, and many water dragons have formed
- 4:41Speaker 1: new bonds. The Dragon King walked toward the edge of
- 4:46Speaker 1: the balcony, and now even Violet has revealed herself. Basalt
- 4:55Speaker 1: said nothing. He'd known Violet for many years. He'd always
- 5:00Speaker 1: sensed there was something unusual about her loyalty, though he'd
- 5:06Speaker 1: never imagined how long she'd been waiting. The Nature's stronghold
- 5:11Speaker 1: now belongs to the rebellion. Violet and Bloom are reunited.
- 5:19Speaker 1: The jungle fights for them. More natured dragons find right
- 5:25Speaker 1: as every day. He slowly turned back toward but Salt,
- 5:32Speaker 1: and worst of all, my daughter stands among them. There
- 5:39Speaker 1: was something beneath the dragon King's anger when he spoke
- 5:43Speaker 1: about August, something quieter, something almost wounded. But it disappeared quickly.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I have allowed this to continue for far too long.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I underestimated them when they were merely children hiding in caves.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I underestimated them when they began freeing individual dragons. I
- 6:09Speaker 1: will not underestimate them again. Bassalt looked toward the mountain passes.
- 6:19Speaker 1: They will come here next. Yes, they have fire dragons,
- 6:25Speaker 1: water dragons, Nature dragons, and a small number of Earth
- 6:32Speaker 1: and wind dragons free during the fighting. The King's face
- 6:37Speaker 1: twisted slightly. But most of the Earth dragons remain here,
- 6:44Speaker 1: most of the wind dragons remain mine, and I still
- 6:50Speaker 1: have the elementes. He motioned towards the three elemental dragons
- 6:56Speaker 1: behind him. These three will remain around the perimeter. They
- 7:03Speaker 1: will use their elemental camouflage to become completely invisible. They
- 7:10Speaker 1: will scout the rebels approach and strike from positions the
- 7:16Speaker 1: enemy cannot locate. Basalt studied the three riders, and you
- 7:23Speaker 1: will return to the castle. No, the answer surprised him.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I will remain here, the Dragon King said. The other
- 7:35Speaker 1: battles will lost because I was not present. My armies
- 7:40Speaker 1: fought the rebels, but no one attacked the source of
- 7:44Speaker 1: their strength, the true bonds, Bassault said, exactly, they believe
- 7:54Speaker 1: those bonds make them powerful. I will show them how
- 7:58Speaker 1: easily bond can be broken. The Dragon King raised one hand,
- 8:05Speaker 1: closing his fingers slowly. When the rebels enter the battlefield,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I will reach into every dragon's mind. I will block
- 8:17Speaker 1: their connection and replace them with my own. Basalt imagined
- 8:25Speaker 1: hundreds of dragons suddenly turning against the children and their
- 8:29Speaker 1: riders on their backs their army. You will destroy itself,
- 8:34Speaker 1: the king continued. Those who survive will face the full
- 8:39Speaker 1: strength of the earth Dragon army. The king stepped closer.
- 8:47Speaker 1: This battle will end the rebellion. You will stop them
- 8:52Speaker 1: here and now. Basalt lowered his head. As you command
- 9:01Speaker 1: the preparations began immediately. Earth dragons raised new rings of
- 9:06Speaker 1: stone walls around the valleys. The first walls were low
- 9:11Speaker 1: enough to tempt dragons to fly over them, but strong
- 9:15Speaker 1: enough to hide new weapons placed behind. Giant spear throwers
- 9:21Speaker 1: were constructed along the mountain ridges. Each one could fire
- 9:25Speaker 1: an iron bolt as long as a tree trunk. Catapults
- 9:30Speaker 1: were placed on high towers, some loaded with boulders, others
- 9:35Speaker 1: carried enormous metal nets or stone containers filled with sand
- 9:40Speaker 1: that would explode into blinding clouds. Rotating launchers were built
- 9:47Speaker 1: into the walls, each holding rows of sharpened metal spears.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Deep tunnels were dug beneath the surrounding valleys so that
- 9:57Speaker 1: the Earth dragons could wait under ground burst up beneath
- 10:01Speaker 1: the attackers. Stone platforms were placed at different heights along
- 10:07Speaker 1: the cliffs, allowing dragons and soldiers to attack from every direction.
- 10:13Speaker 1: The three elementes vanished into the surrounding mountains, taking up
- 10:18Speaker 1: hidden positions. The Dragon King remained inside the central tower
- 10:24Speaker 1: with his enormous elemental dragon and Basalt oversaw it all.
- 10:31Speaker 1: He checked the walls, He inspected the weapons, He positioned
- 10:36Speaker 1: the dragons. He created a battle that the rebels should
- 10:41Speaker 1: not be able to survive. But each night Basalt returned
- 10:46Speaker 1: to the highest balcony and stared toward the horizon. Somewhere
- 10:53Speaker 1: beyond those mountains, Bennett was coming, and when his son arrived,
- 11:00Speaker 1: Basalt would finally have to decide who he truly was.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Part two, Preparing the Dragon Knights. Your perspective. You stand
- 11:15Speaker 1: on one of the enormous wooden platforms inside the Nature
- 11:19Speaker 1: Dragon's stronghold, looking down at the army gathering below. Your
- 11:25Speaker 1: forces have grown quickly. Hundreds of fire dragons have bonded
- 11:30Speaker 1: with riders from the mining villages around the volcanoes. Water
- 11:35Speaker 1: dragons now train beside fishermen, workers, former soldiers, and others
- 11:41Speaker 1: chosen After Splash and ice Thorn helped free the stronghold,
- 11:47Speaker 1: Nature dragons moved through the jungle with their own new riders,
- 11:52Speaker 1: practicing vines, healing, magic spores, roots, and of course, the
- 11:57Speaker 1: ability to communicate with living things. There are a few
- 12:02Speaker 1: Earth dragons among you, now freed during some of the
- 12:06Speaker 1: previous battles, but there remain a number of dragons that
- 12:11Speaker 1: haven't chosen new riders. They tell the same story. Their
- 12:17Speaker 1: riders are still alive. They can feel them faintly hidden
- 12:23Speaker 1: in prisons, camps, castles, or distant villages. Somewhere. One day
- 12:30Speaker 1: they will find them again, assuming you can survive the
- 12:35Speaker 1: next battle. Violet, the Nature Dragon General, approaches with Bloom
- 12:42Speaker 1: walking behind her. She now wears her true green Nature
- 12:48Speaker 1: Dragon armor rather than the black and red armor she
- 12:52Speaker 1: wore when serving the Dragon King. August walks beside you.
- 12:58Speaker 1: The world has been restless, Violet says, you mean you
- 13:05Speaker 1: spoke to the world again. You ask, I listened. The
- 13:11Speaker 1: roots beneath us connect to forests, grasslands, farms, and even
- 13:17Speaker 1: the small plants growing between the stones of the earth
- 13:21Speaker 1: Dragon stronghold, and August asks, your father will be there.
- 13:30Speaker 1: August's expression Titans, he knows we are coming, Violet continues,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and he knows that his control spell is the greatest
- 13:42Speaker 1: weapon he possesses, and we can reverse it. You say, yes,
- 13:49Speaker 1: some of you can. Some of your closest friends have
- 13:54Speaker 1: learned enough to help. But this army contains hundreds of
- 13:59Speaker 1: new rightsitis. If the Dragon King attacks every bond at once,
- 14:05Speaker 1: many will not know what's happening until it's too late.
- 14:10Speaker 1: You look down at the dragons below. Then we teach
- 14:15Speaker 1: everyone the training begins that day. At first, you return
- 14:21Speaker 1: to the same method August used when teaching you bunny rabbits.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The rabbits are placed throughout a large jungle clearing, with
- 14:31Speaker 1: piles of carrots nearby. To make the experience a slightly
- 14:35Speaker 1: less insulting, You and August teach the riders to ignore
- 14:39Speaker 1: the huge elemental power flowing from their dragons and find
- 14:44Speaker 1: the smaller source of human magic within themselves. Many struggle,
- 14:51Speaker 1: but eventually you help the knights find their inner magic,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and you teach them them to create a temporary connection
- 15:03Speaker 1: with the rabbits, one that takes over the control center
- 15:07Speaker 1: of their brain, one that allows them to order the
- 15:11Speaker 1: rabbits to walk where they want them to walk, and
- 15:15Speaker 1: to do what they want them to do. No one
- 15:20Speaker 1: truly enjoys this kind of magic. It feels imposing and wrong.
- 15:27Speaker 1: The connections are released quickly, and the rabbits are given
- 15:31Speaker 1: plenty of carrots afterwards. Once the riders understand what the
- 15:36Speaker 1: spells feel like, though, the lessons become more serious. You
- 15:42Speaker 1: and August attempt to connect to them to their dragons.
- 15:49Speaker 1: The riders must sense your magic entering their minds and
- 15:54Speaker 1: push it away, but first, many can't do it, Some
- 15:59Speaker 1: free ease in place, some begin walking in circles, but
- 16:05Speaker 1: slowly they improve. They learn to feel the false connection.
- 16:11Speaker 1: They learn to place their own human energy against it
- 16:15Speaker 1: and redirect it or cut it in half. Their dragons
- 16:20Speaker 1: even learn to help through their true bond, pushing strength
- 16:24Speaker 1: and awareness back towards their riders. Violet and Bloom walk
- 16:30Speaker 1: among the groups, teaching them to ground themselves through the
- 16:34Speaker 1: living world, giving them the mental strength they need to
- 16:38Speaker 1: perform so many tasks, and at the same time, regular
- 16:44Speaker 1: dragon night training continues. Splash and ice Thorn join with
- 16:51Speaker 1: Bethy and Luna to help train the water riders. Ash
- 16:56Speaker 1: and Cinder work with the fire riders, jew Rules and Vine,
- 17:01Speaker 1: with the help of Violet and Bloom, train the nature knights.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Bennett and Granted train the small group of free Earth riders,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and James and Whisper teach the few wind riders who
- 17:15Speaker 1: have been freed how to maintain focus while moving at
- 17:19Speaker 1: incredible speed. Connor and Bolts just practice striking nearby controlled
- 17:26Speaker 1: targets without actually hitting them, and Curtis and Phoenix develop
- 17:32Speaker 1: clouds of sleeping spores to disable enemy riders. Since well
- 17:38Speaker 1: nobody else has their exact powers to help train. After
- 17:44Speaker 1: several weeks, the army is ready. You stand on the
- 17:49Speaker 1: highest platform of the Nature Stronghold. Ellie waits behind you.
- 17:55Speaker 1: August and Eliara stand to one side. Violet and Blue
- 18:00Speaker 1: Looms stand to the other. Splash, James, Ash Connor, Curtis, Bethy, Jewels,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and the rest of your friends gather nearby. Below you,
- 18:13Speaker 1: hundreds of dragons and riders wait for years. The Dragon
- 18:19Speaker 1: King has forced dragons to fight against the people they
- 18:23Speaker 1: were meant to choose. You say, the jungle becomes quiet.
- 18:29Speaker 1: He took true bonds and replaced them with chains. He
- 18:34Speaker 1: turned dragons into weapons and riders into prisoners. You look
- 18:40Speaker 1: across the army, but the real dragon knights have returned.
- 18:47Speaker 1: The dragons begin to rumble and growl. The Fire dragons
- 18:52Speaker 1: are free. A roar rises from the Fire dragons. The
- 18:58Speaker 1: Water Dragons free. The Water Dragons cheer. The Nature Dragons
- 19:06Speaker 1: are free. The entire jungle shakes as the Nature Dragons roar,
- 19:13Speaker 1: and now we are going to free the Earth Dragons.
- 19:18Speaker 1: The army erupts. When the Earth's Stronghold falls, only the
- 19:24Speaker 1: Wind dragons Stronghold and the Dragon King's personal army will remain.
- 19:32Speaker 1: The end is in sight. Soon dragons will choose their
- 19:37Speaker 1: riders freely again. Soon this world will belong to dragons
- 19:43Speaker 1: and humans together as it was meant to be. You
- 19:49Speaker 1: raise your sword, Let's restore what was stolen. You climb
- 19:55Speaker 1: onto alley. Hundreds of dragons take to the sky behind you.
- 20:02Speaker 1: The fire dragons form the largest part of the formation.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Water dragons fly beside them, drawing moisture from the clouds.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Nature dragons carry vines and seeds woven around their bodies,
- 20:18Speaker 1: and a much smaller group of earth dragons flies near
- 20:23Speaker 1: Bennett and Granite. James Whisper, and the few free wind
- 20:28Speaker 1: dragons move around the outside of the formation, scouting ahead.
- 20:34Speaker 1: The earth dragon's stronghold eventually appears between the mountains. Massive
- 20:40Speaker 1: walls circle the entire region. Towers line the cliffs. Machines
- 20:47Speaker 1: point toward the sky. They have been preparing for us.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Violet says. You fly over the first wall. A hornasts
- 21:01Speaker 1: and the mountains explode. Trees, sigh spears tear through the air.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Catapults launch boulders, Nets and stone containers spread out. You yell.
- 21:14Speaker 1: The dragon formation breaks. Earth dragons burst from the ground below.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Entire mountain sides open as controlled dragons launch boulders into
- 21:25Speaker 1: the sky. Then elemental attacks strike from nowhere. A wall
- 21:32Speaker 1: of fire appears beside you at least spins away, only
- 21:36Speaker 1: to be struck by a blast of wind from another direction.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Water whips around a fire dragon and freezes its wings.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Vines reach out of empty air and sees riders. The
- 21:51Speaker 1: alementes are invisible. August shouts. Your army attacks back, but
- 21:58Speaker 1: there's nothing clear to aim at. Fire fills the sky.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Water dragons create shields, Nature dragons send roots toward the walls,
- 22:09Speaker 1: and the few free Earth dragons try to break the
- 22:12Speaker 1: enemy weapons, but they're facing an entire stronghold filled with
- 22:17Speaker 1: dragons of their own element The battle quickly becomes chaos.
- 22:23Speaker 1: You and Elly dodge another spear. A boulder crashes into
- 22:27Speaker 1: a group of water dragons. A hidden elemental blasts fire, ice, rock, wind,
- 22:34Speaker 1: and vines into the center of the formation. For the
- 22:38Speaker 1: first time, it looks as though your arm you might
- 22:41Speaker 1: actually be overwhelmed. Then an enormous shadow passes over the battlefield.
- 22:50Speaker 1: The largest elemental dragon you've ever seen descends from the clouds.
- 22:58Speaker 1: The dragon kings stand on its back. He raises both arms.
- 23:05Speaker 1: A wave of strange energy rolls across the sky, and
- 23:10Speaker 1: Alley screams. You feel something cold reaching through your bond.
- 23:16Speaker 1: All around you, dragons begin to struggle. Their eyes flicker yellow.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Some turn toward their own riders, others lose control of
- 23:28Speaker 1: their wings. The Dragon King's voice booms across the mountain.
- 23:35Speaker 1: You have brought every dragon you freed directly to me.
- 23:41Speaker 1: His enormous dragon circles above the battlefield. You believe your
- 23:47Speaker 1: bonds make you powerful, but every bond can be blocked,
- 23:53Speaker 1: every dragon can be controlled. When this is finished, your
- 23:59Speaker 1: own ah ME will destroy you. The spell pushes harder
- 24:05Speaker 1: against Eli's mind, but you recognize it. You find your
- 24:10Speaker 1: own inner magic and push back. It's too bad, You
- 24:16Speaker 1: shout that we already know how your spell works. The
- 24:22Speaker 1: Dragon King's expression changes, and so does everyone else. Across
- 24:31Speaker 1: the battlefield. Riders resist, Hundreds of true bonds flare with light. Fire.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Dragons roar as their riders drive the spell away. Water
- 24:45Speaker 1: dragons strengthen their riders' minds. Nature. Dragons ground themselves through
- 24:51Speaker 1: the world. The yellow light disappears from their eyes. No,
- 24:58Speaker 1: the Dragon King shouts, this cannot be happening. You reach
- 25:05Speaker 1: toward the false connection between him and his enormous elemental dragon.
- 25:12Speaker 1: You can feel the chain. You grab it with your
- 25:15Speaker 1: mind and begin pulling. The Dragon King, realizing what's happening,
- 25:21Speaker 1: reacts instantly. A bolt of lightning blasts from his hand
- 25:25Speaker 1: and strikes you in the chest. You're thrown from elly.
- 25:30Speaker 1: The wind catches you before you fall, but by the
- 25:33Speaker 1: time you look up, the Dragon King and his dragon
- 25:38Speaker 1: have disappeared. He's using elemental camouflage. August calls you search
- 25:46Speaker 1: the sky, but can't find him. The battle continues. The
- 25:52Speaker 1: spear throwers fire again. The invisible elementes attack from new positions.
- 25:58Speaker 1: The Earth Dragon arm He pushes your forces backward. Then
- 26:04Speaker 1: the ground shakes. A gigantic dark earth Dragon bursts from
- 26:09Speaker 1: the mountain beneath the strongest wall. Basult, the Earth Dragon General,
- 26:16Speaker 1: sits on its back. Bennett stares at him. Basult raises
- 26:22Speaker 1: one hand and hundreds of stones rise into the sky.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You brace for the attack, but the rocks turn. They
- 26:33Speaker 1: smash into the giant spear throwers. They crush catapults and
- 26:38Speaker 1: tear apart the rotating launchers. Basult fires another ring of
- 26:44Speaker 1: stones into apparently empty parts of the sky, and each
- 26:49Speaker 1: one strikes an invisible elemental dragon. Their camouflage flickers. There.
- 26:57Speaker 1: You shout, Connor and Bull strike the first with lightning,
- 27:02Speaker 1: James in whisper blast the second with a tornado Violet
- 27:06Speaker 1: and Bloom sees the third with vines. With their location revealed,
- 27:13Speaker 1: the others attack as well, and the Alementes are quickly defeated.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Riders blasted off of their backs, leaving them useless. You, August,
- 27:26Speaker 1: and the other trained riders move toward the controlled earth dragons.
- 27:31Speaker 1: You find the false connection and pull them loose. The
- 27:36Speaker 1: riders around you do the same, and one by one
- 27:42Speaker 1: the Earth Dragon's eyes clear. Some roar with anger, others
- 27:48Speaker 1: stare at Basalt. Then the Earth dragons turn against the
- 27:54Speaker 1: remaining soldiers of the Dragon King. The battle ends quickly
- 27:59Speaker 1: after that. You land before the gates of the stronghold.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Your friends gather beside you. Bennett and Granted land nearby.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Basalts dragon descends in front of them, and Basalt climbs
- 28:18Speaker 1: down slowly. He looks at Bennett. My name is Basalt,
- 28:26Speaker 1: he says, and I believe I'm your father. Bennett freezes,
- 28:37Speaker 1: Basult tries to explain everything he tells them about Mirah,
- 28:43Speaker 1: about the rebel camp, about the information he gave to
- 28:46Speaker 1: the Dragon King, and about secretly protecting Bennett from inside
- 28:52Speaker 1: the army. I portrayed your mother, Basult says, I betrayed
- 28:59Speaker 1: the rebell I serve the Dragon King. I know I
- 29:04Speaker 1: can never expect you to forgive me. Bennett doesn't say anything.
- 29:11Speaker 1: August walks toward Basalt's dragon, and it's time to free him,
- 29:17Speaker 1: she says. Basalt looks up, but the dark Earth Dragon,
- 29:23Speaker 1: please do I was never worthy of a dragon. August
- 29:30Speaker 1: removes the control spell. The dragon's glowing eyes become clear.
- 29:37Speaker 1: For a moment, it simply stares at Basalt. Then a
- 29:42Speaker 1: beam of silver and brown light shoots from its chest
- 29:46Speaker 1: and connects to his true Earth Dragon armor forms around Basalt.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Stone and metal cover his arms, legs, and chest. Silver
- 29:59Speaker 1: lines low across the armor, like veins of ore through rock.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Basalt looks down in disbelief. You demonstrated friendship to dragons,
- 30:15Speaker 1: the Earth Dragon says, when it counted most you acted,
- 30:23Speaker 1: but I controlled you. You were used as I was.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yet when given the choice, you turned against the one
- 30:36Speaker 1: holding the chains. The dragon lowers its head. You were
- 30:42Speaker 1: always meant to be a dragon knight, but the will
- 30:47Speaker 1: of the world knew you first had to fulfill your purpose.
- 30:53Speaker 1: As the Earth Dragon, General Basalt places one hand against
