- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Racers Odds.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I'm David Stiles.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: The chase is here.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: It feels almost like Christmas.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: We've waited 26 races and it's finally here.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: We're down to the last 10.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: And on today's episode of Racers Odds, you get only me.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: So there's no Andrew Curlin today.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: It's just good old Dave here with you, and we'll talk about what I'm expecting to see across these last 10 races.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: There's a mix of short tracks in there.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: We don't have any road courses this year, but we also have a rash of intermediate tracks in the middle where we will end up going to Las Vegas, Charlotte, and Talladega, Martinsville, Bristol, just a few.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: But we start off with Darlington.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And there are two bets that I really like for Darlington.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: One of those, Josh Barry.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: He's on a streak of top 10s.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: I think that that can continue.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: The Fords have been really good here recently, and Pinski has also been improving on their mile and a half package.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: And Josh Barry is an old school style racer.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: For him to top 10 this week, that is plus 325 on Caesars.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I know that that may be a little bit rich for some of you, but I think that it is a fun bet to see if he can get that sixth top 10 in a row.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So I like that plus 325.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: I know that I'm usually your matchup guy.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: I don't have any of those queued for this week, but I will give you a winner.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I think that the car to beat as we enter Darlington will actually be Denny Hamlin and the 11 team.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: You can take him on Caesars at plus 500 as well.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: For today's show, though, I'm going to give you the list of where I think each one of these drivers will finish in the chase.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Your number one overall seed is Denny Hamlin.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Then you have Ryan Blaney, Tyler Reddick, Ty Gibbs, Chase Briscoe, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson in seventh, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano in ninth, Christopher Busher in tenth, Daniel Suarez in 11th.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: The 12th position is locked up by Carson Hosevar.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: 13th is Byron.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: 14th, Bubba Wallace, 15th, Austin Cendrick, and then in by the skin of his teeth, Ryan Priest, who called his shot and was very aggressive at Daytona, squeaks in to the chase.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: But the good thing is that only a hundred points separate 16th from first on this list.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: So with this information, I'm going to give you where I think these drivers will end up at the end of the season and we'll start in the 16th spot.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I think that the person with the least amount of momentum, and currently the one with the biggest axe to grind is Austin Cendrick.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: If you've been following the social media news, him and Ryan Blaney, they swapped pit crews.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: So Ryan Blaney's pit crew before the start of the chase ranked 32nd.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Austin Cendricks ranked 10th.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I think that that will pay dividends, and Austin Cendrick will end up finishing in the final position in the chase.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: His odds to win the championship plus 10,000.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: So very long odds for the two team.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: In the 15th position, I know that some of these tracks line up very well for Bubba Wallace.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: We'll go to Kansas.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: 2311 is really good there.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Bubba Wallace, former winner at that track, and he says that he has a ton of confidence coming into this chase.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: And he says that he could go on a generational style run.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: I just don't see it materializing.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: I think he'll wind up in 15th.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: For him to win the championship, plus 8,000.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: Then in 14th position, a guy that has been up and down all year long.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: And when you're in the chase, you have to minimize those valleys.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: You want to have the peaks, but you've got to minimize the valleys.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: And someone who has not been able to do that all season and has really been out to lunch, I think, is this 24 team and William Byron.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I think they'll wind up in the 14th position overall after these last 10 races.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: They're pretty good at Darlington, but I think that they have a long row to hoe, and it will be a very long 10 races for them.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Their chances to win the championship, if you want to bet on them, plus 3,800.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Then we have a guy with a ton of momentum.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I have locked in at the 13th position.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: That's the driver of the 60 car, our last week's winner at Daytona.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: That is Ryan Priest.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I think that RFK will be pretty good at Darlington, but he is currently 100 points behind the first overall position in Denny Hamlin.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: So he has a lot of ground to make up.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: I don't think that he has enough firepower behind that Ford to eventually get out of the bottom 13.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And I think that's where Ryan Priest winds up.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: A good showing for that 60 team and a really good year for RFK with two of their cars in the chase.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: If you want to take Priest to win the championship, that's a plus 20,000 bet.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: So plus 20,000.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Long, long odds for Ryan Priest.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: And then I'll take his teammate in the 12th position.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Chris Busher has not had the year that they've wanted.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: They've been very consistent, and I think the chase plays into their strengths, which is running well every week, maximizing stage points, and taking care of your race car.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: But I think there are a few other guys who are just a little bit better than them this year, and they're still struggling over there at RFK to be considered a tier one team.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I know that Brad Keslowski said that after Ryan Priest's win at Daytona.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: He said, We're really trying to become a tier one team.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: He says, We feel like we're stuck in purgatory right now as the best tier two team.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: And he says, we're trying to break out of that mold.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And he says, How do you do that?
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: You get all your cars into the chase.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: They've got two out of three.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: That's a pretty good season, I think, for RFK.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: They're on the rise, but I don't think it'll be enough for Chris Busher to get out of the top 12.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: So to take him in the championship odds, that's plus 10,000.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Then probably the most controversial driver that we have, someone who can turn it on and turn it off, it seems like every week, and is always on some drivers X list.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: That is the hurricane of Carson Hosevar.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Hosevar will wind up in 11th.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: We've seen him ebb and flow here in the last few weeks, and I don't think that he's really been up to par with how well he was running at the beginning of the year.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I know he was extremely competitive at Bristol, and we'll see if that will materialize here in these last 10 races.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And we also have another run at Talladega, a track that he got his first win at earlier in the season, but I don't think it'll be enough this late in the year for Josevar to really make a push.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: To take him to win the championship, your odds are plus 6,000.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: In the 10th position, so this will be top 10.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: I think you'll see the number nine team and Chase Elliott.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: They have two wins on the year, but they've been on a slow tick down ever since then.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: And I still think that Hendrick is vastly underperforming where they are at currently.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And so I think that Chase Elliott will wind up in the tenth spot for him to win the championship.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: That is plus 2,000.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: In the ninth position, someone who's having a pretty decent year.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: He had a shot to win both of the Coca-Cola races this year and came up one position short.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: That is the dad to be of Daniel Suarez.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Those Spire teams just really good.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: We've seen him outperform his teammate Carson Hosevar in the last few weeks.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And I think Daniel is on a great trajectory here at the end of the season.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: I think he solidifies that ninth position, and that's a very good year for Spire for Daniel Suarez to win the championship this year, plus 12,500.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: So long, long odds for that seven team.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: In the eighth position, someone who's had a great season, picked up two wins this year, got his first one at Bristol earlier in the spring, and that is Ty Gibbs.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: You may be scratching your head thinking, well, Ty Gibbs is currently ranked like top four.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Why would you have him so low?
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: That's four positions where he's at now.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: I think there's potential for other drivers ahead of him to go on a really, really hot streak.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: And I think that Ty Gibbs may have peaked a little bit too soon in the season.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: And now as we get down to these last 10 races, he may come back to earth a little bit.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: We have seen that happen in a couple of other competitors this year.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: So I think Ty Gibbs to top eight this season at the end of the year is actually a pretty decent selection for him.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: For Gibbs to win the championship, you can put money on him at plus 900.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: In the seventh position, someone who is on a long, winless streak of more than a year, the last win for this driver coming at Kansas in May of 2025.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: That's Kyle Larson.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: So Kyle Larson in that seventh position, like I said before, Hendrick just a shade under of what they should be at this point in the season.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: And I don't think that they can really make a push as of late, and he will be the top finishing Chevy out of this group.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Kyle Larson in seventh.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: You can take him to win the championship at plus 1,500.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: In the sixth position, someone who has a ton of momentum and they're really, really good at Darlington, it's Chase Briscoe.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: I think that he has been peaking at the right time in the season, but I don't think it'll be enough here in the last 10 races as the five drivers ahead of him are going to go on a tear.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: And so I think Briscoe will finish in sixth at plus 1200.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: That's right around where he is at now.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: He's currently in fifth place.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: In fifth place, Tyler Redick.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: This is a good moment for Tyler Reddick here in these last 10 races.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: It's almost like a reset button.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: So Reddick will come into these last 10 and he has new energy.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: He's invigorated.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: He's really good at Darlington, and he could go on another type of run like he did at the beginning of the season, where he rattles off three wins and he's really, really good at the mile and a halves.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: And we end this season at homestead.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Another track that he is really good at.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: So I think Tyler Reddick in fifth, it's not bad.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: I just think that the other four drivers ahead of him are just a little bit better and they have a little bit more momentum.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: If you think Tyler Reddick can win the championship, you can lay some units on him at plus 750.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: In my fourth position, a lot of you may scratch your heads.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: I just can't do it.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Denny Hamlin, I think, will finish in fourth.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: He's been very consistent all year long.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: I know that he has scored the most points out of any driver on average this season, and the numbers are just ridiculous, but I think that they will fall off, and things happen in this marathon of 10 races.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: You have to be extremely consistent.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: And sometimes we've seen it in the past with Denny Hamlin, the wheels tend to fall off the bus.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: And so I think that he will slide down three spots into the fourth position, and he is currently your favorite to win the championship.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: You can take him, get this, at minus 110.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: In the third spot is a guy that is the best Ford driver currently, and he's really good at these short track races.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: He was our Echo Park winner just a few weeks ago in the summer.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: It's Ryan Blaney.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Blaney has been solid all year long.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: He's also getting that crew chief from uh pit crew change from Austin Cindrick.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: You can take him to win the championship at plus 550.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: He's he's a former champion as well, but I think locking him in at the third spot is a good position.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Now, if you've been doing the math, there's only two guys left.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: And so I'm sticking with my guns.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: I think Christopher Bell is having a great season.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: He also has 11 runner-up finishes in the past 58 races.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: He has seven runner-ups this year, no wins.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: I think that it could be possible for Christopher Bell to win a championship and only have a single win or just a bunch of top fives.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: It is doable, but I think it will be extremely difficult to do.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: And for that reason, I'll give him another runner-up finish.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: He'll finish in that second spot at plus 700.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Do I think he could go on a run?
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: He was really good at Charlotte.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: He's had a bunch of top twos, but I don't think it will be enough.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: So my number one driver, and I'm sticking to my guns, I've been saying it from the beginning of the year when I put money on him at plus 1800 at the start of the show when we were getting ready to go to Daytona after the clash, Joey Logano to win the championship.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: If you take Joey right now, the odds are a little bit better than they were at the beginning of the season.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: It's plus 1,500, but Logano is the type of driver that you just cannot count out at any one of these tracks.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: He's good everywhere.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: If they can get their mile and a half package figured out at Pinsky, I think Logano could go on a run and end up doing the things that he needs to do with the stage points and wins, and he will eventually be the champion.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: And he's already dedicated this one to all the haters, to all the people that said he can only win in the win and you're in playoff style system.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: I think this is Joey Logano just saying, hey, doesn't matter what kind of point system it is, you tell me the rules.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: I'll race according to those rules, and I will come out as the champ.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So I'm looking for Joey Logano to become a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Leave us some likes and comments.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: I think this is almost a near impossible thing to do, but I gave it my best shot.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: We'll all find out together how this chase unfolds, and I'm just really excited for it to finally be here.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: Like, subscribe on YouTube.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Also leave us a review on Apple Podcasts and Spotify music.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: Every week it's about trying to inject a little bit of fun into these races outside of just following your favorite drivers.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: And hopefully, we're helping you grow that bankroll every week.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: For Racers Odds, I'm David Styles.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: We'll talk to you again next week.
