Speaker 1: I see the American flag lapel pen?
• 0:04
Speaker 2: What is the other lapel pin?
• 0:05
Speaker 3: Somebody gave me this. You know what that is?
• 0:08
  Speaker 1: That's called a happy Trump.
• 0:11
Speaker 3: And considering the fact that I'm never happy, I'm never satisfied.
• 0:15
Speaker 4: I will never be satisfied until we make America great again.
• 0:18
Speaker 4: But we're getting pretty close, I'll tell you what this
• 0:21
Speaker 4: is called a happy Trump. Somebody gave it to me.
• 0:23
Speaker 4: I put it on.
• 0:24
Speaker 1: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
• 0:27
Speaker 3: Good Saturday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:29
Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got two major
• 0:32
Speaker 3: stories for you. First up, the governor Minnesota Waltz wants
• 0:35
Speaker 3: to end fraud. Just kidding, No, the fraud actually ended
• 0:39
Speaker 3: his career, and we have the breakdown on it in
• 0:41
Speaker 3: just a moment. Also, the New York Mayor Mandani now
• 0:46
Speaker 3: raising subway fares, already breaking a big promise for free
• 0:50
Speaker 3: transportation on his first day in office, and his housing
• 0:54
Speaker 3: director actually advocated that home ownership is really white supremacy
• 1:00
Speaker 3: gonna do. It's the forty seven Morning Update and it
• 1:02
Speaker 3: starts right now. Story number one, Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz
• 1:07
Speaker 3: has announced he is ending his reelection bid amid the
• 1:10
Speaker 3: childcare fraud's scandal, the governor announcing he'll not seek reelection,
• 1:16
Speaker 3: and the accusations and the investigation tied to that decision,
• 1:20
Speaker 3: clearly a massive political fallout that even he thought he
• 1:24
Speaker 3: couldn't overcome. Governor Waltz announcing it and saying that this
• 1:30
Speaker 3: was all because of the Republican right ring and a
• 1:33
Speaker 3: conspiracy theory. I'm not joking. But before we get to that,
• 1:38
Speaker 3: here is how it was announced on Fox Business Channel.
• 1:42
Speaker 3: The Minnesota's governor Tim wals he has dropped out.
• 1:45
Speaker 4: He's dropped his bid for reelection.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: He will not seek a third term in office.
• 1:50
Speaker 4: What did he say?
• 1:51
Speaker 2: The multi billion dollar alleged Somali daycare and medicaid fraud
• 1:55
Speaker 2: scandal was consuming Wall's writing this. Every minute I spend
• 1:59
Speaker 2: a fear defending my own political interests would be a
• 2:02
Speaker 2: minute I can't spend defending the people of Minnesota against
• 2:05
Speaker 2: the criminals who pray on our generosity and the cynics
• 2:09
Speaker 2: who pray on our differences. So he has dropped his
• 2:12
Speaker 2: bid for a third term, but the fraud could still
• 2:15
Speaker 2: imperil Senate Democrats. Senator Tina Smith will not seek reelection
• 2:20
Speaker 2: in Minnesota, so that race is open, and Senator Amy
• 2:24
Speaker 2: Klobachar is viewed as a top contender for governor to
• 2:28
  Speaker 2: replace Walls.
• 2:29
Speaker 3: Now, what's also interesting about this is Governor Waltz announcing
• 2:33
Speaker 3: this saying, quote he wants to focus on governance and
• 2:36
Speaker 3: not campaigning. He said, it's essential. In other words, I'm
• 2:39
Speaker 3: the good guy amid the ongoing controversies in the state.
• 2:43
Speaker 3: Walt emphasized that leading Minnesota through the quote unquote crisis
• 2:47
Speaker 3: that he created of fraud and ensuring his administration's response
• 2:52
Speaker 3: deserves full attention from the governor, not divided focus between
• 2:57
Speaker 3: governing and campaigning. He also made it clear that this
• 3:01
Speaker 3: is really somehow all the fault of Republicans and that
• 3:05
Speaker 3: this is what it really came down to.
• 3:08
Speaker 4: We've got conspiracy theorists, right wing YouTubers breaking into our daycares,
• 3:13
Speaker 4: demanding access to our children. We've got the President of
• 3:18
Speaker 4: the United States demonizing our Samali neighbors and wrongfully confiscating
• 3:24
Speaker 4: funds that Minnesotans rely on. It's disgusting and it's dangerous.
• 3:29
Speaker 3: What's so interesting about what Governor Waltz said there is
• 3:32
Speaker 3: what the real headline should have been Governor Waltz, almost
• 3:36
Speaker 3: the Vice President United States of America, now dropping out
• 3:39
Speaker 3: of the governor's race in Minnesota in disgrace. And why
• 3:43
Speaker 3: not because of people trying to break into daycares demanding
• 3:48
Speaker 3: access to our children. No all, because a brave twenty
• 3:52
Speaker 3: three year old kid with an iPhone and a thirst
• 3:56
Speaker 3: for justice exposed billions and billions of the the governor's fraud.
• 4:02
Speaker 3: The work of Nick Shirley hopefully has created one thousand
• 4:06
Speaker 3: more Nick Shirley's just like him, who realize that the
• 4:09
Speaker 3: government is broken, as well as the media apparatus which
• 4:13
Speaker 3: is supposed to hold it accountable. But Governor Waltz wasn't
• 4:17
Speaker 3: done there. He also wanted to play the victim card
• 4:20
Speaker 3: one more time by saying this.
• 4:23
Speaker 4: I don't want to mince words here. Donald Trump and
• 4:26
Speaker 4: his allies in Washington and in Saint Paul and online
• 4:29
Speaker 4: want to make our state a colder, meaner place. They
• 4:32
Speaker 4: want to poison our people against each other by attacking
• 4:36
Speaker 4: our neighbors, and ultimately they want to take away much
• 4:39
Speaker 4: of what makes Minnesota the best place in the country
• 4:42
Speaker 4: to raise a family. They've already begun trying to withhold
• 4:46
Speaker 4: funds that were meant to help families afford childcare, and
• 4:49
Speaker 4: they have no intention of stopping there. Make no mistake,
• 4:53
Speaker 4: we should be concerned about fraud in our state government.
• 4:57
Speaker 4: We cannot effectively deliver programs and services if we can't
• 5:01
  Speaker 4: earn the public's.
• 5:02
Speaker 3: Trust, public trust. Tim Waltz leaving office because he has
• 5:08
Speaker 3: no trust in him from the public and knows he
• 5:11
Speaker 3: can't get reelected, yet at the same time saying his
• 5:15
Speaker 3: entire administration is about exactly that. He can rewrite history
• 5:19
Speaker 3: all he wants. But Tim Waltz will go down in
• 5:22
Speaker 3: disgrace as a former vice presidential candidate who just months
• 5:26
Speaker 3: later has to suspend his reelection campaign for governor because
• 5:30
Speaker 3: of the billions and billions in fraud that were uncovered
• 5:34
  Speaker 3: under his watch.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: Now story number two in New.
• 5:37
Speaker 3: York City, there are two major stories that are happening,
• 5:40
Speaker 3: and it's happening within days of Mandani coming into power.
• 5:45
Speaker 3: You know, the guy that was going to give you
• 5:46
Speaker 3: everything for free and you know, get rid of all
• 5:49
Speaker 3: the police officers, and well it's not working out already.
• 5:54
Speaker 3: New York City subway passengers were furious as they decided
• 5:59
Speaker 3: to wipe their card. They're calling it crazy. The price
• 6:04
Speaker 3: has skyrocketed to three dollars per ride, and the locals
• 6:08
Speaker 3: said they thought it was going to be free. The
• 6:11
Speaker 3: MTA's latest rate hike went into effect on Sunday and
• 6:15
Speaker 3: exasperated passengers to fork over just ten more cents per ride.
• 6:20
Speaker 3: They were shaking their heads at the exer expense, especially
• 6:23
Speaker 3: when they voted for Mandanni, who said it was going
• 6:25
Speaker 3: to be free. Now it's the highest it's ever been.
• 6:29
Speaker 3: I just know it's going to add up, one twenty
• 6:32
Speaker 3: three year old said, who regularly commutes into Manhattan from
• 6:35
Speaker 3: his New Jersey home. Another one thirty three, who regularly
• 6:39
Speaker 3: commutes from Chinatown to Manhattan, said, it's ft. Yes, these
• 6:44
Speaker 3: are the Mendanni voters. I don't get a paid enough
• 6:47
Speaker 3: for this. The hike is crazy. This all over, yes,
• 6:51
Speaker 3: just ten cents. A forty one year old thought the
• 6:54
Speaker 3: MTA could focus on making better use of its funds
• 6:57
Speaker 3: it is already generating, instead of asking New Yorkers a
• 6:59
Speaker 3: four over even a dime more, saying quote, the MTA
• 7:03
Speaker 3: constantly misappropriates funds. Instead of installing new turnstiles, they could
• 7:09
Speaker 3: actually improve the service, referring to the transit system seemingly
• 7:13
Speaker 3: endless attempts to deter fair jumpers, who costs. They say
• 7:16
Speaker 3: the MTA more than four hundred million in lost fairs
• 7:20
Speaker 3: last year alone. Man I wonder if police officers actually
• 7:24
Speaker 3: could help with that problem. The MTA constantly misappropriates funds
• 7:29
Speaker 3: instead of installing all these new turnstyles. Can't they just
• 7:32
Speaker 3: do the job the right way? Another said, and yes,
• 7:36
Speaker 3: there's also plans for what's gonna happen with the money,
• 7:39
Speaker 3: the most recent increase coming as the future of MTA
• 7:43
Speaker 3: remains unclear because the new mayor Mandannie vowed to follow
• 7:47
Speaker 3: through in his campaign promise of making the city's bus
• 7:50
Speaker 3: system completely free. His plan, by the way, would cost
• 7:54
Speaker 3: the system about seven hundred million, which Mandannie said he
• 7:58
Speaker 3: would pay by just, you know, raising taxes on all
• 8:01
Speaker 3: the corporations and also the high earning individuals. Some hopful
• 8:06
Speaker 3: New York lawmakers also think that there is real relief
• 8:10
Speaker 3: that's needed from the commuter prices. Let's be clear, we
• 8:14
Speaker 3: need to freeze the fairs, not raise them. Set a
• 8:16
Speaker 3: New York State Controller candidate, the cost of everything's going up,
• 8:21
Speaker 3: and that working people don't need right now is to
• 8:23
Speaker 3: pay more just to quote get around. So here we
• 8:27
Speaker 3: are two ninety Mandannie gets elected. Bam, it's now three dollars.
• 8:32
Speaker 3: Welcome to communism in New York City, which also brings
• 8:36
Speaker 3: us to the other big ripoff Mundannie show voting is
• 8:41
Speaker 3: the headline now as he's saying we've got a crack
• 8:44
Speaker 3: down on rental ripoffs. Mandanni is opted to kick off
• 8:47
Speaker 3: his mayoral campaign with a grandiose housing initiative. Well, there's
• 8:52
Speaker 3: no sign of any of it actually becoming a reality.
• 8:56
Speaker 3: We do know, however, that Mondani's newly appointed Tenant Advocate
• 9:01
Speaker 3: director thinks home ownership and private property is quote white supremacy.
• 9:08
Speaker 3: In her own posts, she put out private property, including
• 9:13
Speaker 3: and kind of especially home ownership is a weapon of
• 9:18
Speaker 3: white supremacy masquerading as a wealth building public policy. When
• 9:25
Speaker 3: she says families will have a different relationship with their property,
• 9:29
Speaker 3: she means the government will commander your home for the
• 9:32
Speaker 3: collective good of everyone. This is literally Mandannie's tenant director
• 9:37
Speaker 3: in her own words, I.
• 9:40
Speaker 5: Think the reality is is that for centuries we've really
• 9:44
Speaker 5: treated property as an individualized good and not a collective good.
• 9:49
Speaker 5: And we are going to and transitioning to treating it
• 9:52
Speaker 5: as a collective good and towards a model of shared
• 9:56
Speaker 5: equity will require that we think about it differently, and
• 10:00
Speaker 5: it will mean that families, especially white families, but some
• 10:05
Speaker 5: pot families who her homeowners as well, are going to
• 10:09
Speaker 5: have a different relationship to property than the one that
• 10:13
  Speaker 5: we currently have.
• 10:14
Speaker 3: So get ready, if you're white, they want to come
• 10:17
Speaker 3: after your home, They want to take it away from you.
• 10:21
Speaker 3: This is Mandanni's tenant director, and she said the quiet
• 10:25
Speaker 3: part out loud quote will transition from treating property as
• 10:29
Speaker 3: an individual good to a collective good. Whites especially will
• 10:34
Speaker 3: be impacted. I want you to let that sink in.
• 10:38
Speaker 3: This isn't housing policy, it's ideology colliding with private property rights. Ironically,
• 10:46
Speaker 3: Florida and Texas could not have designed a better case
• 10:50
Speaker 3: study in a lab to spur population growth for their states,
• 10:54
Speaker 3: especially if they move forward in New York City with this.
• 10:58
Speaker 3: But what you're hearing from New York's elites now is clear.
• 11:02
Speaker 3: If your white get out. If you're rich, get out.
• 11:05
Speaker 3: If you have a business, we want more of your money.
• 11:08
Speaker 3: It's almost like a good old American shakedown. It's really
• 11:12
Speaker 3: no different than what the mob did, except the mob
• 11:15
Speaker 3: is now Mundanni's socialist government. You think you have property rights,
• 11:20
Speaker 3: not in New York City. When they arrive, they want
• 11:23
Speaker 3: your money, your businesses, and your taxes to go up.
• 11:28
Speaker 3: But don't worry, they'll at least let you ride the
• 11:31
Speaker 3: bus for free after you pay your three dollars. So
• 11:36
Speaker 3: here we are, just days into Mundanni's Mayor's office and
• 11:40
Speaker 3: all his people that he picked. And what are they saying.
• 11:43
Speaker 3: We're going to seize your property. We're going to bring
• 11:45
Speaker 3: state controlled housing to the forefront of city policy, and
• 11:49
Speaker 3: we call home ownership white supremacy.
