- 2:10Speaker 1: We're going to talk about life, we're going to talk
- 2:11Speaker 1: about purpose, and then we're going to just talk about
- 2:14Speaker 1: your gift. You have been able to utilize your gift
- 2:18Speaker 1: to be a compassed to so many and so I'm excited.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Now you got to tell the folks, Doc, how do
- 2:24Speaker 1: you pronounce your first name is? What? What is Shaniska?
- 2:30Speaker 2: So the Hebrew meaning is fiery one fii one that
- 2:34Speaker 2: you are?
- 2:35Speaker 1: Oh really, man, that's been coaching me. Man, listen, that
- 2:40Speaker 1: is a is a firey one? Oh my goodness, Saniska
- 2:43Speaker 1: sounds like it could be like Russian.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Or something Jewish. I get that, Yes, I do. I
- 2:47Speaker 2: do get that a lot.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But yeah, because you you you gotta say it like
- 2:51Speaker 1: you gotta say it. I think, what's that movie CJ.
- 2:54Speaker 1: When was it Denzel Washington? What was it? The Equalizer?
- 2:57Speaker 1: When he's uh, yeah, it's the Russian guy, he's like, so, Doc, again,
- 3:08Speaker 1: thank you for taking out your time to join us. Now,
- 3:12Speaker 1: you were born in the Bahamas. Yes, and you were
- 3:15Speaker 1: born and I want to say this in a way
- 3:18Speaker 1: because I want you to tell your story. You had
- 3:20Speaker 1: a unique upbringing, very unique. Talk about that a little bit.
- 3:25Speaker 2: So born and raised in the Bahamas, grew up to
- 3:29Speaker 2: family home, very small family. I'm the youngest of three
- 3:34Speaker 2: and church girl, church girl, praise on worship leader, grew
- 3:39Speaker 2: up in church singing, you know, close knitted family, great morals,
- 3:45Speaker 2: great standards. But of course, you know, like any of
- 3:48Speaker 2: us who grew up in the church, or we call
- 3:50Speaker 2: them church kids, or whatever the case may be, we
- 3:53Speaker 2: want to stray off and we want to do, you know,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the things that we want to do. But I'm so
- 3:58Speaker 2: grateful that, you know, when we have the Word of
- 4:01Speaker 2: God and when the seeds of God has been planted
- 4:05Speaker 2: in our lives as children, no matter how far away
- 4:07Speaker 2: we stray, something always pulls us back. And I'm so
- 4:13Speaker 2: grateful to God that I had That's something that when
- 4:16Speaker 2: I was out there, it reeled me.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Back on ye and when you were out there, right,
- 4:22Speaker 1: let's talk about that because I think, you know, I'm
- 4:26Speaker 1: a PK. My dad has been passoring thirty five years.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I think all of our guests today are pks today. Yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and I think a lot of times we're not giving
- 4:38Speaker 1: a lot of grace when we kind of shrail away.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It's almost it's as if there's an expectation that because
- 4:45Speaker 1: the Word has been planted in us and the seeds
- 4:49Speaker 1: have been planted into us, it's as if we don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: get this right surpassage, because our rights of passage is
- 4:56Speaker 1: so different from other kids that are not raised, you know,
- 5:00Speaker 1: in a faith based or a church going or in
- 5:04Speaker 1: a home where the mom or dad is in ministry.
- 5:08Speaker 1: What was that like for you as you were out there?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Like what? What? What was your thought process?
- 5:13Speaker 2: You know, you know, to be to be honest with you,
- 5:16Speaker 2: I grew up in a house that we really loved God,
- 5:20Speaker 2: and so though there were expectations, there were, it wasn't
- 5:24Speaker 2: a pressure that makes sense to you, Yes, so there
- 5:27Speaker 2: were expectations, but you know, it just it just wasn't
- 5:31Speaker 2: It just wasn't any pressure. We we grew up in
- 5:33Speaker 2: a house where we genuinely loved God. So when there
- 5:36Speaker 2: were early morning prayer meeting, my mom was the first
- 5:40Speaker 2: one to ever speak a pathetic word over my life.
- 5:42Speaker 2: My mom would have early morning prayer meeting in the morning,
- 5:46Speaker 2: and the kid, we would just get up. It wasn't that, oh,
- 5:49Speaker 2: you need to get up right now. We would just
- 5:51Speaker 2: get up. We would just join in because there was
- 5:54Speaker 2: always just a genuine love for God. And I believe
- 5:58Speaker 2: that you know, once again, these things are instilled. But
- 6:01Speaker 2: when you grow up in that type of environment, in
- 6:03Speaker 2: that atmosphere, you just grow into a space where you know,
- 6:06Speaker 2: you really know God. So there wasn't any pressure. There
- 6:09Speaker 2: was expectation for them to pressure.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah, And I would say the same for us as well.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Like I grew up hearing my mom walk the floor
- 6:17Speaker 1: praying like it was nothing. Baby, hear Mama go, and
- 6:24Speaker 1: she'd be walking through the house with her oil. And
- 6:27Speaker 1: I would say that I appreciate that because even when
- 6:32Speaker 1: I strayed, and even when I was on my own journey,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and I never left God in a way that he
- 6:40Speaker 1: did not exist, It's as if that I strayed away
- 6:44Speaker 1: because not because I was looking for another God, because
- 6:47Speaker 1: I feel like a lot of a lot of p
- 6:49Speaker 1: K kids they're looking for another God. It's as if
- 6:53Speaker 1: I was trying to discover me. And I don't think
- 6:56Speaker 1: that we realized to find ourselves is only through God.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's the only way. But we don't know that because
- 7:03Speaker 1: when you're growing up in a family and as you're
- 7:06Speaker 1: you're you're speaking about prayer. And my mom was the
- 7:10Speaker 1: first person that prophesied over me as well, and I
- 7:13Speaker 1: grew up knowing what the prophetic was. My parents, you
- 7:18Speaker 1: know told me early on that I had a prophetic gift.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I was preaching at the age of nine my family,
- 7:25Speaker 1: my mom and dad. When I was called to preach,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I told him that I heard the voice of God say,
- 7:31Speaker 1: preach the gospel. My first sermon was a community chapel
- 7:35Speaker 1: in Shelby, Mississippi, where I was born, in front of
- 7:37Speaker 1: two hundred people, and I spoke from the Lord as
- 7:40Speaker 1: my shepherd. And and that became a norm in our
- 7:44Speaker 1: household where my sisters it was the thing that we
- 7:48Speaker 1: are taking Jay to his speaking engagement. For about two
- 7:51Speaker 1: to three years, my parents took me all over Mississippi
- 7:54Speaker 1: to preach the gospel. I was preaching in front of
- 7:59Speaker 1: three five hundred trials and and and as you were
- 8:02Speaker 1: speaking about, there wasn't and it wasn't a pressure, even
- 8:07Speaker 1: though my dad was passing like, there wasn't pressure, but
- 8:10Speaker 1: there was an expectation. Yeah, like my mom would. I
- 8:14Speaker 1: couldn't go outside until I read a scripture and I
- 8:18Speaker 1: had to come back and tell her what it meant.
- 8:19Speaker 1: That's why I have such a you know, she doesn't notice,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but I had a photographic memory so I can read it.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And and she was stirring up to give. And then
- 8:28Speaker 1: the other part about what I appreciated is that Mama
- 8:32Speaker 1: taught us how to pray. How powerful, doc is prayer
- 8:39Speaker 1: For young children to learn.
- 8:41Speaker 2: How to pray, prayer is such a a lifeline. I
- 8:46Speaker 2: remember a few years ago, over five years ago, I
- 8:52Speaker 2: called my mom in tears one day and I was
- 8:56Speaker 2: sitting in the car and I said to her, thank
- 8:59Speaker 2: you for teaching me the substance of prayer, because life
- 9:04Speaker 2: be life in and as long as you live this life,
- 9:08Speaker 2: you know, we we learned that we can we can
- 9:11Speaker 2: eat off of the prayers of our parents, but we
- 9:14Speaker 2: can't live off of the prayers of our parents.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Doc, you gotta say that again.
- 9:21Speaker 2: We can eat off of the prayers of our parents,
- 9:23Speaker 2: but we cannot live off of the prayers of our parents.
- 9:28Speaker 2: And I am so grateful that those early mornings, those
- 9:31Speaker 2: late nights left something in me that as I begin
- 9:36Speaker 2: to walk this journey, as I had to lean on God,
- 9:39Speaker 2: as I had to, like you said, come into this
- 9:42Speaker 2: place of finding my identity in God, that came through prayer.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Prayer is a lifeline. Literally, you you you cannot live
- 9:51Speaker 2: and survive in this world without having a prayer life.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It just won't it just won't work. You won't you
- 9:57Speaker 2: won't make it, you won't survive. Okay, prayer isn't essential,
- 10:01Speaker 2: So I mean, I'm grateful. It is so powerful, it
- 10:04Speaker 2: is so necessary, especially for young kids. And I tell
- 10:07Speaker 2: parents all the time, it's okay, sit them babies, now,
- 10:10Speaker 2: walk the floor and pray in front of them. I
- 10:12Speaker 2: promise you the seed is gonna be planted. I promise you.
- 10:15Speaker 2: They're gonna mimic it. I promise you something is going
- 10:18Speaker 2: to stick down the line when you live a life
- 10:22Speaker 2: of prayer and supplication before the Lord. So prayers isn't essential,
- 10:27Speaker 2: especially for families, kids, because we need it.
- 10:30Speaker 1: We need it, we need it, and you can't thrive
- 10:35Speaker 1: no without it. No, you may survive, but you can't
- 10:40Speaker 1: thrive in this life without prayer.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You don't need it.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I mean even just just a simple just saying God,
- 10:47Speaker 1: I need you.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And I had to learn that because I had this
- 10:53Speaker 1: idea that I was bugging God, you know, in some
- 10:58Speaker 1: stages in my life. And I never forget it. One
- 11:00Speaker 1: morning prayer, God said, even when you don't know what
- 11:03Speaker 1: to say, still talk to me, even when you don't
- 11:09Speaker 1: know what to say. I still hear you, but I
- 11:11Speaker 1: still need to hear you and hear from you. And
- 11:15Speaker 1: knowing that prayer is not a monologue. It should be
- 11:19Speaker 1: a dialogue. And then there are sometimes where God is
- 11:23Speaker 1: that I've learned, even in prayer, where the spirit has
- 11:27Speaker 1: to moan and it groans you know what I mean,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and it intercedes for you. One of the best things
- 11:35Speaker 1: that happened to me was receiving the Holy Spirit and
- 11:41Speaker 1: learning the evidence of speaking, having the evidence of speaking
- 11:44Speaker 1: in tongue, but also understanding and I'm relearning that now
- 11:49Speaker 1: the power in it, you know, for just managing life.
- 11:55Speaker 1: What would you say to a person who is they
- 12:01Speaker 1: pray but they don't really know the essentialness of prayer
- 12:06Speaker 1: and how important it is just for daily management, you know, I.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Would say, this revelation comes through relationship. And if we
- 12:21Speaker 2: are going to walk this life, if we're going to
- 12:24Speaker 2: fulfill purpose, if we are going to be exactly who
- 12:28Speaker 2: God has called us to be, it is going to
- 12:32Speaker 2: require and it's going to call for us to have
- 12:35Speaker 2: a relationship with God. There is no way you would
- 12:38Speaker 2: ever have a revelation on who you are. You could
- 12:41Speaker 2: hear it from everybody. You could hear it from Mama,
- 12:43Speaker 2: you could hear it from me, you could hear it
- 12:46Speaker 2: from anybody that speaks into your life. But if you
- 12:49Speaker 2: do not have a relationship with God, you will never
- 12:52Speaker 2: be able to obtain revelation through the eyes of God
- 12:56Speaker 2: in who you are. And so I tell people all
- 12:58Speaker 2: the time, if you want, but I don't know, doctor Johnson,
- 13:01Speaker 2: I don't know my purpose. I feel so lost. You
- 13:03Speaker 2: don't have relationship, You don't have relationship, and so what
- 13:08Speaker 2: happened is you know, I'm gonna speak from the women's
- 13:10Speaker 2: point of view. You you sit down, you wanna you
- 13:12Speaker 2: want to get a relationship with a guid and you
- 13:15Speaker 2: don't even know who you are. There's no revelation on
- 13:18Speaker 2: who you are. So what are we doing. There's there's
- 13:21Speaker 2: no relationship with God. But you want a relationship with man,
- 13:24Speaker 2: and so you build this relationship with a man. You
- 13:27Speaker 2: come in and have these expectations, but you don't even
- 13:30Speaker 2: know who you are through the lens of God. And
- 13:32Speaker 2: so it is very imperative to take the time to
- 13:36Speaker 2: build relationship with God so you can have revelation into
- 13:40Speaker 2: who you is, who you are. Sorry, we're just equivalent
- 13:44Speaker 2: to your identity. Come on, okay, now watch this. Identities
- 13:48Speaker 2: are revealed, not uncovered. We are our identities are revealed
- 13:54Speaker 2: so we can be released into it. And many of
- 13:56Speaker 2: us are walking around right, but we crying, Oh God,
- 14:00Speaker 2: I can't you will have a husband for me, baby,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I need you. I need you to sit down and
- 14:08Speaker 2: come to a place where your identity is discovered through
- 14:12Speaker 2: the lens of God, right, so it can be revealed
- 14:15Speaker 2: to you so you can be released in it.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Mm hmm woo. I don't know how many cars we
- 14:22Speaker 1: got to today, c J, but I'm gonna go ahead.
- 14:25Speaker 1: We call these a car tell moment. I've been tag
- 14:28Speaker 1: the cars up and I may pick these up attacked.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Listen for these folks out here. Listen, doc listen you
- 14:34Speaker 1: you you, you, you are in it. I you know,
- 14:39Speaker 1: like we're going there. I recently, I was recently, right,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I was talking to this young lady and and you know,
- 14:45Speaker 1: she had, you know, making known that she was interested
- 14:48Speaker 1: in me. And I asked her, I said, what is
- 14:51Speaker 1: your purpose?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Wow?
- 14:56Speaker 1: And and and and I wasn't asking in a way
- 15:00Speaker 1: to judge, but I really wanted to know because I
- 15:04Speaker 1: can say this that like especially I was telling visuala
- 15:07Speaker 1: thiss it and you and I was having the same conversation,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and I was like being at this place. Now I'm
- 15:16Speaker 1: in it, I know it, it's been revealed. The difficulty
- 15:21Speaker 1: is that I cannot walk with somebody who's not clear
- 15:25Speaker 1: about their purpose. They're not clear about who they are.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I can't help you find that. And when she paused
- 15:34Speaker 1: to respond, and I can feel the weight that was
- 15:40Speaker 1: pressing on her because she didn't know. And I think
- 15:46Speaker 1: this goes for both men and women. We're looking this
- 15:48Speaker 1: is both men and women. We're looking for relationships, we're
- 15:51Speaker 1: looking for partnership, but we don't have a sense of
- 15:54Speaker 1: who we are. And my thing is, how do you
- 15:57Speaker 1: expect to walk with people with real purpose?
- 16:00Speaker 2: The blind? Everybody blind, nobody knows, nobody knows, nobody has
- 16:06Speaker 2: a sense of identity. And then you have those who
- 16:10Speaker 2: have a sense of identity, but it's not aligned with
- 16:14Speaker 2: the Word of God. So so so we get we
- 16:17Speaker 2: get two dangerous people walking around. We we have I
- 16:20Speaker 2: call them masquerading. Because you're masquerading around, you're you're something
- 16:26Speaker 2: that you're not right, and so you get into relationships
- 16:30Speaker 2: and then you're looking at the person, the person looking
- 16:34Speaker 2: at you, You're you're masquerating around you. You pretended all
- 16:37Speaker 2: this time. So that person looking at you like, am
- 16:41Speaker 2: I being pumped? Is this a joke?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Oh, I've been pumped.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I might being pumped because this is not this is
- 16:49Speaker 2: not what you masqueraded around for five to six months.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And I have I have dealt with male clients, professional athletes, rappers,
- 16:58Speaker 2: I have dealt with it. And I've dealt with women,
- 17:00Speaker 2: very successful six figure earners when I say have their
- 17:04Speaker 2: ducks in a row, but they do not know their identity,
- 17:10Speaker 2: and so then we have gender roles being switched. So
- 17:13Speaker 2: we have we have women who are six figure earners,
- 17:15Speaker 2: they have their ducks in a row, but because they
- 17:18Speaker 2: don't know that identity, they come into relationships where they're
- 17:21Speaker 2: the male in the relationship. Oh it's it's it's it's
- 17:25Speaker 2: it's it's it's it's messed up. So we have we
- 17:28Speaker 2: have people in relationships we have identities that are flip flopped.
- 17:32Speaker 2: We have identities that are masquerading around or something else,
- 17:36Speaker 2: and hence that's why we have relationships that don't work.
- 17:39Speaker 2: We have we have a breakdown in marriages. We have
- 17:42Speaker 2: a breakdown in Covenant because we have people getting angry
- 17:46Speaker 2: at one another because you said that you were this,
- 17:49Speaker 2: and I said that I was this, but you didn't
- 17:51Speaker 2: do this and I didn't do that, and so we
- 17:54Speaker 2: have this going on. But nobody we go back to
- 17:57Speaker 2: the foundation, No one knew or had revelation or insight
- 18:02Speaker 2: to who they are and what that identity is in Christ,
- 18:06Speaker 2: simple as that. So they were never released into it.
- 18:09Speaker 2: You could only be released into what has been revealed
- 18:11Speaker 2: to you.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You can only be released and to what has been
- 18:18Speaker 1: revealed to you.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Literally, I mean else what else you're doing.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Mm, you can only be released into it. That's it,
- 18:33Speaker 1: when it has been revealed to you.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That's it. That's it. You know, we talk about you know,
- 18:40Speaker 2: the ladies, love and ladies. I ain't picking on y'all.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I'm just I'm just giving y'all the I'm giving y'all
- 18:45Speaker 2: the goods. You know, we like to talk about Ruth
- 18:47Speaker 2: and Naomi, and you know Ruth, you know she went
- 18:50Speaker 2: in that feel and bow eyes had to going on.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, but we don't talk about Mary.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I love Mary. Let me tell you what I love
- 18:59Speaker 2: about me. Mary's purpose and her identity was so aligned
- 19:07Speaker 2: and rooted in God that it took the power of
- 19:10Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit to come upon her to release her
- 19:14Speaker 2: into what it is that she was called to do.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Come on, okay, okay. The angel showed up. He said, oh,
- 19:22Speaker 2: favorite one, right, the Lord is with you. She stood there.
- 19:27Speaker 2: She was confused. She was trying to desert. Now, wait
- 19:28Speaker 2: a minute, what's going on here? She said? He said,
- 19:31Speaker 2: don't have no fear you you have been favored by
- 19:34Speaker 2: the Lord. And the angel continues to go on and
- 19:36Speaker 2: tell Mary, you know you're about to give birth. This
- 19:38Speaker 2: is about to happen. He's about to be you know,
- 19:40Speaker 2: this great Messiah. And she said, well, how is this
- 19:42Speaker 2: going to happen? I'm going somewhere with this, because her
- 19:46Speaker 2: identity was being revealed to her in this moment. I'm
- 19:49Speaker 2: going somewhere with this. Lady's so she asked a question, well,
- 19:52Speaker 2: how you know, how is this going to happen? How
- 19:54Speaker 2: is this going to take place? You know, I'm a virgin,
- 19:56Speaker 2: And the Angel began to explain to her, this is
- 19:59Speaker 2: how this it's going to happen. We find a critical moment.
- 20:02Speaker 2: After this, she came into agreement. Come on, after her purpose.
- 20:09Speaker 2: After her identity was revealed, she came into agreement. And
- 20:13Speaker 2: these were the words that she said. She said, be
- 20:17Speaker 2: it unto you, you according to your word, I am
- 20:21Speaker 2: the servant of the Lord. And so when we want
- 20:23Speaker 2: to walk around here saying we boss ladies, listen, Mary
- 20:27Speaker 2: was the ultimate boss lady. You know why. She was
- 20:30Speaker 2: about her father's business. And when we as women right
- 20:35Speaker 2: can wear many hats and we can balance this and
- 20:39Speaker 2: balance that, the trueness of who we are is wrapped
- 20:43Speaker 2: up when we can be about our father's business. That's
- 20:46Speaker 2: what I call the ultimate business woman. And so she
- 20:49Speaker 2: was released into what was revealed to her. Watch this
- 20:54Speaker 2: that came by.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Revelation and through that ooh ooh, this is so good,
- 21:01Speaker 1: and through her submitting.
- 21:04Speaker 2: She came into agreement with it.
- 21:05Speaker 1: She came into an agreement because you see this so
- 21:09Speaker 1: much today. I'm not submitting. I'm not surrendered. Here's what
- 21:12Speaker 1: I said, which I thank god, I've never had this
- 21:14Speaker 1: conversation with a who woman about submitting to me or
- 21:17Speaker 1: anything like that, because I think it's twofold. I think
- 21:20Speaker 1: there is a level, an element of surrendering and an
- 21:23Speaker 1: element of submitting. She not only submitted through agreement. She's
- 21:28Speaker 1: surrendered to the purpose that I'm your servant, meaning that
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm here to serve. We have a generation of people,
- 21:36Speaker 1: both men and women. Nobody wants to serve. Everyone wants
- 21:42Speaker 1: to be served.
- 21:44Speaker 2: That's so good you touched on that. And I want
- 21:46Speaker 2: to say this, when too mature people come together, right,
- 21:52Speaker 2: there is an understanding. And it always goes back to revelation,
- 21:56Speaker 2: when you have a revelation about what the greed of
- 21:59Speaker 2: purpose is. And so what we have is we have
- 22:03Speaker 2: a lot of people running around flesh driven. You are
- 22:06Speaker 2: not going to find your wife through the eyes of
- 22:09Speaker 2: your flesh. You are going to have to be awakened
- 22:12Speaker 2: by the Holy Spirit. That's just simply it. And when
- 22:15Speaker 2: you are awakened by the Holy Spirit, you what is
- 22:18Speaker 2: going to happen is too mature people are going to
- 22:21Speaker 2: come together and there's going to be an understanding of
- 22:23Speaker 2: the greater purpose. Why Mary was able to say to
- 22:28Speaker 2: the Angel, I am your servant, right, I am the
- 22:31Speaker 2: Lord's servant. Be it unto me according to your word.
- 22:35Speaker 2: She didn't have to worry about Joseph coming into agreement. Right.
- 22:39Speaker 2: That's another story of another time. But here we have
- 22:42Speaker 2: two mature people came together for the greater purpose. And
- 22:46Speaker 2: watch this to what you say. He submitted to the plan.
- 22:49Speaker 2: She submitted to the plan. And so where there is
- 22:52Speaker 2: a grade, where there's an understanding of a greater purpose,
- 22:55Speaker 2: two people are able to serve one another. Because can
- 22:59Speaker 2: I be read with I'm not serving no one who
- 23:03Speaker 2: doesn't have revelation about the greater purpose in a union.
- 23:06Speaker 2: There's no way.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I'm not tearing them no more on my cars.
- 23:09Speaker 2: There's no way. We can't do it if you don't
- 23:13Speaker 2: have a revelation of the greater purpose, the greater purpose
- 23:17Speaker 2: of what it is that we are called to do.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Because let's let's get beyond the makeup cute, the lash
- 23:22Speaker 2: is cute, the hair cube. But when we get home,
- 23:25Speaker 2: I need you to walk this floor. When we get home,
- 23:28Speaker 2: I need you to lay before me a blueprint of
- 23:30Speaker 2: what it is that the Lord is said. So so,
- 23:33Speaker 2: when everything is all said and done, when the click
- 23:35Speaker 2: lights are off, the cameras are off, what is God saying?
- 23:40Speaker 2: What is the direction? What is the greater purpose? What
- 23:43Speaker 2: is the greater plying? And then we can serve and
- 23:46Speaker 2: submit into that. Okay, So so on this journey, you know,
- 23:51Speaker 2: with men like you, and I see it. I see it.
- 23:54Speaker 2: It's so many of you guys talk about it. It really is.
- 23:58Speaker 2: And we all have a an attraction. Right, Let's let's
- 24:01Speaker 2: be real. We we we all human, we all like
- 24:05Speaker 2: certain things. But I think what happens is you just
- 24:10Speaker 2: you just fall under that that that I think too
- 24:13Speaker 2: too much. It has to be it has to be
- 24:15Speaker 2: a balance, because this is what I believe. I believe
- 24:19Speaker 2: that whatever it is, when you come into that place
- 24:21Speaker 2: of revelation and what and who, when and where God
- 24:25Speaker 2: is say, there is something in you by way of
- 24:28Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit that's going to come into agreement with it.
- 24:31Speaker 2: So you might look at that person and say, hmm,
- 24:34Speaker 2: she may not have been my first choice, but I
- 24:36Speaker 2: have revelation on a greater purpose. And because and because
- 24:41Speaker 2: by way of the Holy Spirit are working on the
- 24:43Speaker 2: inside of you, there is something about that person what
- 24:46Speaker 2: you may not have liked before. Oh oh, oh oh,
- 24:50Speaker 2: you're gonna fall in love with it now because there
- 24:52Speaker 2: is revelation of the greater purpose coming from all that.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Whoo.
- 24:57Speaker 2: So I need my guys to get it together, y'all,
- 24:59Speaker 2: y'all got to get it together. Man, y'all gotta get
- 25:02Speaker 2: it together. You need a woman who has come to
- 25:06Speaker 2: a place and a level of maturity and understanding of
- 25:11Speaker 2: her identity with God in God. And if you don't,
- 25:15Speaker 2: I hate to say it, you are going to spend
- 25:18Speaker 2: years building that woman up. It has to be done anyway.
- 25:24Speaker 2: But imagine someone who doesn't know who she is. I'm
- 25:28Speaker 2: so grateful of my process. I am so grateful of
- 25:33Speaker 2: the time that God has taken with me to the
- 25:36Speaker 2: point where I'm so content. It's scary.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Doc, I need you to go deeper because they don't
- 25:42Speaker 1: know that you were married.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, got married at the age of twenty one,
- 25:49Speaker 2: twenty two, very young, and it was a mess. It
- 25:55Speaker 2: was an entire mess that literally almost destroyed me. And
- 26:00Speaker 2: so I tell people all the time, you know, marriage
- 26:05Speaker 2: and coming into covenant is not a game. This is
- 26:09Speaker 2: something that can literally take you out. You come into covenant,
- 26:14Speaker 2: you get yoked up with the wrong person, and your
- 26:16Speaker 2: life can literally be destroyed.
- 26:19Speaker 1: And I'm just that's a clips mark there.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'm just grateful that I'm one of the favor ones
- 26:25Speaker 2: that made it out alive.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Wow.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I'm just I'm just being honest.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And Doc you're on it because I've heard I've counseled
- 26:36Speaker 1: a lot of women that I've come out of marriages,
- 26:40Speaker 1: and especially because like probably about sixty five percent of
- 26:44Speaker 1: my clients are believers.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And I've.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Heard many of them saying because they'll they'll come in
- 26:52Speaker 1: session and you know, and of course you build this
- 26:54Speaker 1: the relationship with with the client. And they'll often say,
- 27:00Speaker 1: doctor j. You can't afford to marry the wrong person.
- 27:06Speaker 2: You cannot, You can't. Purpose is too great, Purpose is
- 27:10Speaker 2: too great. The framework of who you are took too
- 27:15Speaker 2: much work, and when you have that revelation and understanding,
- 27:21Speaker 2: you cannot afford to allow anything or anyone to disrupt
- 27:26Speaker 2: the framework. What people see as we are sitting here
- 27:33Speaker 2: on this couch, they're seeing somewhat of the end result,
- 27:38Speaker 2: but they didn't see the becoming of this. There was
- 27:42Speaker 2: a price to be paid, Okay, a high price. And
- 27:46Speaker 2: so you cannot, after all of the work, after all
- 27:51Speaker 2: of the tears, after all of the sacrifices, how are
- 27:55Speaker 2: you going to let somebody just come in who don't
- 27:57Speaker 2: even know the value of their worth. Anything that's too
- 28:01Speaker 2: accessible doesn't carry value. If everybody could go in the
- 28:06Speaker 2: Louis Pizon store and pick up a purse every day.
- 28:08Speaker 2: What's the value in it? What's the value in it?
- 28:12Speaker 2: Tell me what if everyone can go to that store
- 28:16Speaker 2: or the Gucci store or particular stores every day and
- 28:20Speaker 2: just have accessibility to that. Where's the value in it?
- 28:26Speaker 2: Where's value in it?
- 28:28Speaker 1: Value?
- 28:29Speaker 2: So I would say to you, doctor j and being
- 28:32Speaker 2: in this space and seasoning your life where you have
- 28:36Speaker 2: an understanding and you have a revelation of what's to
- 28:41Speaker 2: come and who you'll call to be, I would say,
- 28:45Speaker 2: it's going to require a very mature woman. It's going
- 28:51Speaker 2: to require a mature woman who is mature emotionally, mentally,
- 28:58Speaker 2: and spiritually. If not want, you're gonna find yourself fighting lion,
- 29:03Speaker 2: tigers and bears. You're gonna be out there fighting, and
- 29:07Speaker 2: you're gonna come home fighting. You're gonna go out fighting
- 29:10Speaker 2: and you're gonna come back fighting, and your life is
- 29:13Speaker 2: going to consistently be that of fighting, simply because you
- 29:20Speaker 2: didn't choose someone with the maturity level and intelligence that
- 29:25Speaker 2: is necessary to walk alongside with you. And vice versa.
- 29:30Speaker 2: For women, my women who have done the work, or
- 29:33Speaker 2: women who have taken the time to pour into themselves. Women, listen,
- 29:37Speaker 2: love on yourself, love on yourself, Take the time to
- 29:44Speaker 2: look at your worth, take the time to look at
- 29:47Speaker 2: yourself through the lens of God, and say, I can't
- 29:50Speaker 2: afford for know what domess is up. Oh, I look
- 29:53Speaker 2: at myself every day, every day.
- 29:55Speaker 1: And I want to interject. And for those that you
- 29:58Speaker 1: probably said, well, what didn't marry? Didn't remarry after divorce?
- 30:03Speaker 1: No single ten years and celibate ten years plus and
- 30:07Speaker 1: celibate it.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Yes.
- 30:09Speaker 1: So for those of like, she's done the work and
- 30:12Speaker 1: continues to do the work. Because I know you was talking.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You said, Doc, I can't afford.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Let me tell you why. God messed around and showed
- 30:20Speaker 2: me how good it could get. Let me say it again,
- 30:25Speaker 2: He messed around and showed me how good it could get.
- 30:29Speaker 2: And so as the years went on, and as I
- 30:31Speaker 2: matured and as I grew, I realized the things that
- 30:35Speaker 2: I had, the expectation that I had from a man,
- 30:40Speaker 2: It wasn't necessary. God was saying, if you could just grow,
- 30:44Speaker 2: if you could miss mature, if you could come into
- 30:46Speaker 2: the revelation of who you are, and me, I will
- 30:49Speaker 2: show you what it is that I can do in
- 30:51Speaker 2: your life. And when whoever, when the time comes, there's
- 30:54Speaker 2: going to be an added addition. But you're going to
- 30:57Speaker 2: be able to stand and say, because I had relationship
- 31:00Speaker 2: with God, because I have revelation with God, look at
- 31:03Speaker 2: what he's done in my life. And I realized that
- 31:05Speaker 2: I'm just too valuable.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 31:08Speaker 2: He took his time, he's given me the best, he's
- 31:11Speaker 2: poured into me. He's he's allowed me to live so good.
- 31:15Speaker 2: And I just can't have the mindset that I had
- 31:19Speaker 2: seven years ago, eight years ago, say well, I just
- 31:21Speaker 2: you know, you know, you go through them seasons. Well,
- 31:23Speaker 2: let me let me just get somebody. I'll work with him. No, no, no,
- 31:29Speaker 2: you go and do the work. It's another beautiful thing
- 31:32Speaker 2: when two people do the work. Oh my god, think
- 31:35Speaker 2: about it. Two people who have done and who is
- 31:40Speaker 2: continuously doing the individual work can come together and say, hey, okay,
- 31:46Speaker 2: I see you doing that, but let me give you
- 31:48Speaker 2: some input on that. And then you could say to
- 31:50Speaker 2: that person, hey, okay, I see you, I see you,
- 31:53Speaker 2: but this is way you could. But you have two
- 31:55Speaker 2: people the work.
- 31:56Speaker 1: That's what I'm waiting for, because I listen, that's what
- 32:00Speaker 1: I'm waiting for. I'm ready because because you're you're you are.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I know. I'm watching these brothers faces in there. You
- 32:09Speaker 1: are blessing these men because oftentimes we don't get to
- 32:14Speaker 1: hear how important it is. Because we often hear, you know,
- 32:19Speaker 1: be a provider, be a protector, you gotta lead. But
- 32:25Speaker 1: I don't think that men here how important it is
- 32:28Speaker 1: on where you lead and who you lead. I'm seeing
- 32:34Speaker 1: a lot of brothers who have great calling, who have
- 32:38Speaker 1: great purpose, who have made bad decisions and choosing, and
- 32:41Speaker 1: they chose from a good place in their heart. They
- 32:46Speaker 1: chose because they wanted to be in covenant, they wanted
- 32:49Speaker 1: to be married, they wanted to, you know, to do
- 32:51Speaker 1: the right thing. But but what you're saying, male or female,
- 32:55Speaker 1: man or woman. But I'm talking to the brothers because
- 32:58Speaker 1: there's a lot of brothers that have been hitting up
- 33:00Speaker 1: and say, Doc, I made the wrong decision.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I think it's so important, Doc, that we choose for
- 33:08Speaker 2: where we're going and not where we're at now. It
- 33:12Speaker 2: is a dangerous, very very very dangerous kid. And listen
- 33:18Speaker 2: to me, audience. I'm not saying that God can't restore.
- 33:22Speaker 2: I can't. I'm not saying by any means that God
- 33:25Speaker 2: can't touch a situation. I'm not saying that. But when
- 33:28Speaker 2: you when you have the strength to wait.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Ooh Jesus, you.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Have the strength to wait. Ladies, I promise you, when
- 33:40Speaker 2: you have the strength to wait, it is going to
- 33:44Speaker 2: be so beautiful. Because here's the thing. You could be
- 33:46Speaker 2: a great leader, but you're leading the wrong person. You
- 33:50Speaker 2: can be a great provider, but with an ungrateful person,
- 33:54Speaker 2: it will never be enough. So now let's let's be
- 33:58Speaker 2: real about it. I'm spoiled. I'm not ashamed to say
- 34:01Speaker 2: that I'm not. But because of my strength in waiting
- 34:05Speaker 2: who God has for me. I mean, he's gonna see
- 34:09Speaker 2: the Good Father has taken care of me, and so
- 34:12Speaker 2: he's gonna understand when he comes into my world, this
- 34:14Speaker 2: is our world. This is what I've been standing, this
- 34:17Speaker 2: is what I've been holding down, this is what I've
- 34:19Speaker 2: been creating, this is what the good Sister has been
- 34:24Speaker 2: holding it down. So when he come into my world,
- 34:28Speaker 2: there's going to be an empowerment in him that if
- 34:31Speaker 2: she did this ten plus years with the strength of God,
- 34:35Speaker 2: he's going to be empowered to say I could run
- 34:37Speaker 2: with this. Now, come on, he is going to be
- 34:40Speaker 2: empowered to say, if God did this with and through
- 34:44Speaker 2: my wife, oh, there's a grace in me that can
- 34:46Speaker 2: do it. There's a grace in me that can stand.
- 34:49Speaker 2: There's a grace in me that can run my God
- 34:51Speaker 2: to this. But see, we coming into covenant with people
- 34:53Speaker 2: who don't even have the same mindset as us. We
- 34:57Speaker 2: unequally yoke. If I'm over here liking nice stuff and
- 35:05Speaker 2: you over there still talking about how when and where
- 35:08Speaker 2: this ain't gonna work. I don't need you to have
- 35:10Speaker 2: all the resources. I need you to have the faith.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I don't need you to have it all figured out.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I need you to have the mindset. I don't need
- 35:19Speaker 2: you to be able to pay for everything. I need
- 35:23Speaker 2: you to have a prayer life. Because one can chase
- 35:26Speaker 2: a thousand and two can chase ten thousand and something supernatural.
- 35:30Speaker 2: It is going to happen when we lock hands for
- 35:32Speaker 2: the greater purpose. There's going to be a greater level
- 35:35Speaker 2: of manifestation. And watch this. Let's not forget the word.
- 35:38Speaker 2: When a mind finds a wife, he finding it a
- 35:40Speaker 2: good thing. So I'm sorry, fellas favor if y'all looking
- 35:43Speaker 2: and y'all yoking up with this stuff, and favor ain't
- 35:45Speaker 2: dropping your life when your wife shows up. Your life
- 35:49Speaker 2: is supposed to shift when your wife shows up, Sir,
- 35:54Speaker 2: favor drops in your life. And I'm talking to the
- 35:56Speaker 2: ladies because there's some good ladies o there who got favor? Ladies,
- 36:00Speaker 2: I don't one of them. I know who I listen.
- 36:02Speaker 2: I'm so careful with my favor. I can't touch everybody.
- 36:06Speaker 2: That's how careful I am. That's how God I am,
- 36:09Speaker 2: because I know I have revelation and what and who
- 36:14Speaker 2: I and what I carry. And so, ladies, even those
- 36:17Speaker 2: of you who are or have been wasting time on
- 36:21Speaker 2: relationships with man who doesn't even have a revelation on
- 36:25Speaker 2: who you are, you're wasting your owe, You're wasting your favor.
- 36:29Speaker 2: There is a grace in waiting strong wait on God.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Well, let that breed, as we said, therapis, let that breed.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Have you been choosing your favor or you've been choosing
- 36:50Speaker 2: your demise? You don't have to answer that right now.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Have you been choosing your favor? You know we talked
- 36:56Speaker 2: about I know man talk about I need my peace. No,
- 36:59Speaker 2: you need your favor because when favor shows up, the
- 37:04Speaker 2: peace of God is going to.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Rest on rest. That's why. Now that's it, because you
- 37:07Speaker 1: can be That's why I've never that's you. You would
- 37:09Speaker 1: never you go anywhere on any platform that I've done
- 37:13Speaker 1: the interview. I've never said I need her to be
- 37:16Speaker 1: my piece because you know.
- 37:17Speaker 2: You could have a masquerading woman walking around pretending to
- 37:20Speaker 2: be your peace and be She ain't your favor. Give
- 37:25Speaker 2: me favor any day, because I know what favor can do.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Favor would do what money could never do. Fabor would
- 37:31Speaker 2: open doors when money could never open. And I'm sitting
- 37:34Speaker 2: here today this was favor. So I need you. I
- 37:41Speaker 2: need you to start looking for your favor. So where's
- 37:44Speaker 2: my favor? Because there's an aspect and there's a level
- 37:48Speaker 2: with who God is called to be your wife. There's
- 37:51Speaker 2: an aspect and a level of favor that she carries
- 37:54Speaker 2: for you. She's graced for you. So you're sitting down
- 37:58Speaker 2: and getting frustrated because they're not great for you. Give
- 38:05Speaker 2: me the grace. I need a mind that's grace for me.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I'm a lot in a good way. Okay, I'm a
- 38:15Speaker 2: lot in a good way. But he has to have grace.
- 38:18Speaker 2: And so that's why I've been hidden for the time.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Open I know to this day, if any mind approaches me,
- 38:25Speaker 2: they have found me by way of the Holy Spirit.
- 38:28Speaker 2: I already know it.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Docs, sit back and through the hell. What what I
- 38:40Speaker 1: would say like to say, Doc, as we're in closing,
- 38:43Speaker 1: I want to say thank you for pushing me too.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And it's not so much just about locking in. But
- 38:51Speaker 1: you know, one of the biggest challenges that I would
- 38:53Speaker 1: say personally for me was and and what people don't
- 38:58Speaker 1: realize is that it takes time to accept that you're rare. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:06Speaker 1: that is. And I tell my mother that like that
- 39:07Speaker 1: has been one of my biggest challenges. And not because
- 39:10Speaker 1: I want to be like everybody. I don't. That's I've
- 39:13Speaker 1: never met a man that I wanted to be like.
- 39:16Speaker 1: It's because sometimes it can feel so isolated and heavy,
- 39:23Speaker 1: and it's hard to articulate, and it's hard to convey
- 39:28Speaker 1: without sounding in a way to where some people have
- 39:31Speaker 1: always tap into my vocabulary. I don't want it to
- 39:35Speaker 1: feel I don't want to come off as so magniloquent
- 39:39Speaker 1: and it sounds as if I'm trying to pontificate and
- 39:41Speaker 1: trying to because sometimes with what I give is so
- 39:46Speaker 1: high level thinking and sometimes to explain that. It's like
- 39:52Speaker 1: I can't come down that little so God connected me
- 39:55Speaker 1: with you allows me to see that. It's almost like
- 39:58Speaker 1: when when the Avengers get to give and you see like,
- 40:02Speaker 1: oh man, you you can turn, you know what I
- 40:04Speaker 1: mean water, I mean you can jump, and you know
- 40:08Speaker 1: you can vanish, and you know, teleport or you get
- 40:12Speaker 1: to meet Somebody's like, oh man, there's others. This is
- 40:15Speaker 1: why I love Marvel so much. It's because when you
- 40:19Speaker 1: look at every Marvel character, one thing that all of
- 40:23Speaker 1: them had in common is rejection. Here's the other thing
- 40:29Speaker 1: that they had in common. They were only embraced momentarily
- 40:34Speaker 1: for their gifts, but they were not embraced for being gifted,
- 40:42Speaker 1: you know. And so when I see you even just
- 40:45Speaker 1: operating in this, it's like I was down and when
- 40:48Speaker 1: I was in Florida and Joel was preaching and you know,
- 40:51Speaker 1: he's menacing, and there was a God standing behind me,
- 40:56Speaker 1: and immediately the Holy spirits and put your hand on
- 40:58Speaker 1: his heart. It was like God showed me that he
- 41:01Speaker 1: was close to having a heart attack. And I put
- 41:04Speaker 1: my hand on his heart, beginning to pray over him,
- 41:07Speaker 1: and I thank God that you have given me confidence
- 41:11Speaker 1: even the more because here's what people don't realize. And
- 41:14Speaker 1: I think who was talking to Oh yeah, when I
- 41:17Speaker 1: was on Christal and They podcast, I was talking about
- 41:19Speaker 1: the challenge that when you get to the top, you
- 41:22Speaker 1: can't come back down and have conversations with people on
- 41:26Speaker 1: the bottom. And not that I am trying to minimize them,
- 41:30Speaker 1: it's that God has called you higher, so you have
- 41:33Speaker 1: to have conversations that are up there. I got to
- 41:36Speaker 1: come seal you. I got to talk to a Bishop Jacson.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I got to talk to somebody who's there that has
- 41:42Speaker 1: slay giants and ain't telling about nobody that's still wrestling
- 41:45Speaker 1: with tigers and bears. Tell about folks who slayed golions
- 41:49Speaker 1: and they've got a trail of golions that says, hey,
- 41:52Speaker 1: I've been here before.
- 41:55Speaker 2: You know, it's very imperative when we are gifted. I
- 41:59Speaker 2: was never I was never the pick me girl.
- 42:02Speaker 1: You know.
- 42:02Speaker 2: I came from the islands, just an island girl. I
- 42:05Speaker 2: was never invited, I was I was never on one
- 42:08Speaker 2: of the flyers. I was never I was never given
- 42:10Speaker 2: the opportunity. But they all called me behind closed doors. Yes,
- 42:17Speaker 2: they all called me behind closed doors. So I was
- 42:19Speaker 2: the one giving them their messages to preach. I was
- 42:22Speaker 2: the one. I was the one giving them the the
- 42:25Speaker 2: their words and navigating them and even global words they
- 42:29Speaker 2: will pre they would say it over the pulpit. So
- 42:31Speaker 2: I was never the one. It was like, oh who she?
- 42:34Speaker 2: And God said, understand this. You were always a big
- 42:38Speaker 2: deal to me before you would be a big deal
- 42:40Speaker 2: to anybody else. And he said, if you trust me
- 42:43Speaker 2: in this process, I will take you somewhere that people
- 42:46Speaker 2: could never take you.
- 42:48Speaker 1: God.
- 42:48Speaker 2: And so when I began to pop up and spaces
- 42:50Speaker 2: in the rooms, I was always there. You just never knew.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I just never knew you sight.
- 42:57Speaker 2: And so this journey has taught me to find my
- 43:00Speaker 2: rhythm in it, doctor j And I'm proud of you
- 43:03Speaker 2: because you've been finding your rhythm. Finding your rhythm will
- 43:07Speaker 2: bring you to a place once once again. It comes
- 43:10Speaker 2: back to identity. It comes back to knowing our identity
- 43:14Speaker 2: and God, I do not care if who doesn't know
- 43:17Speaker 2: my name. I am God's best kept secret and what
- 43:21Speaker 2: he has placed in me, what he has allowed to
- 43:24Speaker 2: be deposited in me. I understand now why I wasn't
- 43:28Speaker 2: the picmy girl. I understand why I wasn't on the
- 43:31Speaker 2: church flyers because I was called to so much greater.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I needed to be able to walk in the marketplace
- 43:37Speaker 2: and ministry. I needed to be able to conform in
- 43:41Speaker 2: both worlds without selling out. He had to test me
- 43:44Speaker 2: and try me. Let me see if I can test
- 43:47Speaker 2: her character. Let me see if her character can't withstand
- 43:50Speaker 2: the test of time. Let me see if she will
- 43:53Speaker 2: sell out for money. I had to be tested all
- 43:57Speaker 2: of these years. And so when you come into a
- 43:59Speaker 2: place where you find your rhythm, you will understand things
- 44:03Speaker 2: are just things. Yes I live nice, Yes I drive nice,
- 44:07Speaker 2: but it's just things. Just as He gave it, he
- 44:09Speaker 2: could take it away. And so as you find your
- 44:12Speaker 2: rhythm in this journey, on beat everything else, because rhythm
- 44:20Speaker 2: comes with alignment, and as you are as you are
- 44:24Speaker 2: on rhythm, alignment comes in your relationships, who you call
- 44:29Speaker 2: to be with, the businesses, the permanent studio, the location
- 44:35Speaker 2: that you will even have in Atlanta. I'm talking to you.
- 44:39Speaker 2: You hearing me? You sure you hear what I said?
- 44:41Speaker 2: Just now? A permanent location, a location even in Atlanta. See,
- 44:48Speaker 2: there are some things that God is waiting to release
- 44:51Speaker 2: to you. Because your wife is your favor, and when
- 44:54Speaker 2: she comes, God will trust you with the next level
- 44:57Speaker 2: of provision. He will trust you with the ne next
- 45:00Speaker 2: level of wealth. He will trust you with the next
- 45:03Speaker 2: level even of sponsorships. But I hear the Lord saying
- 45:06Speaker 2: it's time to come up. And you're thinking even with
- 45:09Speaker 2: this because you're gonna move from podcasting to television recording.
- 45:17Speaker 2: But this is going to require you to be on
- 45:19Speaker 2: rhythm again. That again, Can I be honest with you?
- 45:22Speaker 2: You ain't on rhythm? You be you got it? Gotta
- 45:25Speaker 2: be a consistent rhythm. How you want a consistent mate?
- 45:28Speaker 2: You got to be consistent. You got to be everything
- 45:34Speaker 2: that you're looking for. I need you to be that
- 45:36Speaker 2: ten times. That's what I tell myself. I ain't telling
- 45:40Speaker 2: you nothing. I don't tell myself. Okay, I'm I want
- 45:44Speaker 2: to fly because you know that's important to me. I
- 45:45Speaker 2: need to. I don't need to be trying to address nobody. Okay,
- 45:48Speaker 2: we we we we you know we we ain't there.
- 45:51Speaker 2: I don't want to do that. Okay. So that's how
- 45:53Speaker 2: I carry myself and I take time and myself. I
- 45:57Speaker 2: need him to be the same way, okay, just how
- 46:01Speaker 2: I'm consistent in discipline, in my prayer life and with
- 46:05Speaker 2: my upkeep. I need him to be that way, just
- 46:09Speaker 2: how I am a good stort financially. I like nice things,
- 46:13Speaker 2: but I ain't going out there to waste money. Okay.
- 46:15Speaker 2: My home is gonna be beautified as a woman. Okay,
- 46:19Speaker 2: because my home is a reflection of me. Okay, a
- 46:23Speaker 2: woman should take pride in how she lives and where
- 46:26Speaker 2: she did. You can't be walking around here with a
- 46:28Speaker 2: Gucci and Louis tom Baig and your home a rots mess.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Your husband come home, his robbing on the bed, his
- 46:34Speaker 2: water air round? What happened to your king? Okay? But
- 46:40Speaker 2: I need him? I need him. We don't have time.
- 46:44Speaker 2: We have time. We gotta be a rhythm. So as
- 46:49Speaker 2: you do the work, trust to know who God has
- 46:52Speaker 2: for you, has done the work and is doing the work.
- 46:55Speaker 2: But you gotta stay because this next level of what
- 46:59Speaker 2: God wants to released to you, it's depending on you
- 47:02Speaker 2: finding her. And I know that may sound cruel, ain't it?
- 47:06Speaker 2: But she is able.
- 47:07Speaker 1: He trying to show you something you know, and you
- 47:10Speaker 1: saying that it doesn't. It doesn't sound cruel, you know
- 47:14Speaker 1: you it sounds in some way. You can hear a
- 47:18Speaker 1: word that can can make you feel the other word
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'm looking for, I can't think of it like it
- 47:26Speaker 1: it's it can sound very pressured and not pressured like
- 47:32Speaker 1: you know, I can't you can't handle the pressure pressure
- 47:36Speaker 1: as if it's like it's tense. You know what I'm
- 47:41Speaker 1: saying piercing because because you know the other part of
- 47:44Speaker 1: that is as I am finding rhythm in this new level,
- 47:49Speaker 1: it is also you know, it's almost like me being
- 47:53Speaker 1: an athlete, right you know, and I mean can can
- 47:57Speaker 1: have tested it as well? Is man? You you a
- 48:01Speaker 1: cult will tell you don't overthink it so you can
- 48:05Speaker 1: find rhythm in your ability, which is why football is
- 48:09Speaker 1: so repetitive. You do the same thing every day. You'll
- 48:14Speaker 1: run the same play ten times. You'll run the same
- 48:17Speaker 1: play ten times in a different formation. And so what
- 48:21Speaker 1: it's doing is creating that muscle memory. And so for
- 48:24Speaker 1: me in this season, you know, I'm a very disciplined
- 48:27Speaker 1: and a very consistent person. But I also know that
- 48:31Speaker 1: God is calling me to be disciplined and consistent in
- 48:34Speaker 1: these other areas. You know, and I and I often
- 48:38Speaker 1: tell people you know, for me, because I'm always transparent,
- 48:42Speaker 1: the discipline for me isn't I And I'm putting it
- 48:45Speaker 1: out here. I don't have a discipline issue in my
- 48:48Speaker 1: flesh like that. I'm disciplined sexually. My sexuality is disciplined.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Are you disciplined with your eyes? Though?
- 48:55Speaker 1: I'm disciplined with my eyes? Here here's what I say,
- 48:58Speaker 1: and here here's what I say. I have to develop
- 49:02Speaker 1: the discipline emotionally because of what I desire, and so like,
- 49:07Speaker 1: I'm not a person who who like when I when
- 49:11Speaker 1: I have chosen certain partners, I didn't choose a partner
- 49:15Speaker 1: because they were you know, like it wasn't that like
- 49:17Speaker 1: I've chosen partners because I felt emotionally pulled, you know,
- 49:23Speaker 1: because there's something that I desire because for me in
- 49:26Speaker 1: this work, in this field, I desire psychological safety. And
- 49:31Speaker 1: that's something I don't hear a lot of men because
- 49:34Speaker 1: of the way that I poured because and Joel and
- 49:37Speaker 1: I talk about this so much, man, Like you know,
- 49:40Speaker 1: when we were getting on stage, getting on tour and
- 49:43Speaker 1: we had gone, I think were left NASA, Bishop Ellis
- 49:50Speaker 1: and the men there, like you can, man, it was
- 49:53Speaker 1: so heavy from the men there, and I just remember
- 49:57Speaker 1: going back to the hotel and I'm just like, dude,
- 50:00Speaker 1: who in the world can I call in this moment
- 50:04Speaker 1: to pick me up? And not that I can't pick
- 50:06Speaker 1: up myself, but it's like sometimes having somebody to give
- 50:09Speaker 1: me a word, because there are times I don't have
- 50:12Speaker 1: a word for jade.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Like I've been on stage and three five hundred men
- 50:21Speaker 1: and I prophesied to about thirty of them. Yeah, and
- 50:25Speaker 1: I'm depleted, and so I ain't looking for a shadow
- 50:32Speaker 1: of tail, you know, as my grandmother said, I ain't
- 50:35Speaker 1: looking Sometimes I'm just looking just to fall in somebody's
- 50:38Speaker 1: arm and cry because I need to release all of that.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Like I came home one night, Doc, and I've said this,
- 50:48Speaker 1: there was a brother I prayed for who was heavily
- 50:51Speaker 1: struggling with suicide. I came home and that night I
- 50:57Speaker 1: was doing something in my closet and I keep mind
- 51:00Speaker 1: my gun in the closet, and man, the voices that
- 51:04Speaker 1: I was hearing in that closet standing by that gun
- 51:08Speaker 1: was scary.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:09Speaker 1: I walked out of there and closed the door. It
- 51:12Speaker 1: was so heavy. I had to open up my patio
- 51:15Speaker 1: door to let Eric and begin to pray. And this
- 51:18Speaker 1: is what we were talking about earlier. I love that
- 51:20Speaker 1: my mom taught me how to pray. But I said, listen,
- 51:23Speaker 1: you got I gotta go to sleep tonight, and you
- 51:25Speaker 1: got to get you got to get up out of here.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Matter of fact, you got to get the hell out
- 51:28Speaker 1: of here.
- 51:28Speaker 2: So let me ask you something. And having this conversation
- 51:31Speaker 2: and saying how difficult it has been, which and I
- 51:34Speaker 2: know it is because I have, like I said, a
- 51:36Speaker 2: lot of male clients who are very influential men, high
- 51:39Speaker 2: figure earners like yourself. You have to be able to
- 51:44Speaker 2: ask yourself in this rhythm, what is it that I
- 51:49Speaker 2: really want in the long run? You said something just now,
- 51:52Speaker 2: and that's why I'm piggy backing off of that. You
- 51:55Speaker 2: said you wanted to just come home and have somebody
- 51:59Speaker 2: arms to fall in to. That sounds cute on that
- 52:01Speaker 2: sounds good, right, I'm going somewhere with these It sounds safe.
- 52:05Speaker 1: It's it's sounds safe.
- 52:07Speaker 2: I'm safe. But Ima Jane coming home falling into somebody
- 52:11Speaker 2: arms who hasn't a clue of what you're dealing with.
- 52:15Speaker 1: That's That's what I'm saying. So when you talk about
- 52:18Speaker 1: my eyes, my now, my eyes have drawn me to
- 52:21Speaker 1: people where I felt like, oh, she has that. Like
- 52:25Speaker 1: I can tell you this. I have dated folks who
- 52:31Speaker 1: mask well. Man. That's why I thank God for bringing
- 52:34Speaker 1: me out a certain seaton because I dated folks man
- 52:38Speaker 1: they massed well. And when I got in there, I
- 52:40Speaker 1: never forget dating is youngly and and and and this
- 52:45Speaker 1: is like second year on the tour. And I was
- 52:49Speaker 1: sitting on her couch and she's like, so, are You're
- 52:51Speaker 1: not gonna talk to me today? And uh And I
- 52:54Speaker 1: literally said, I said, man, I don't have anything to say.
- 52:58Speaker 1: I literally got off stage, flew home, grabbed clothes, and
- 53:02Speaker 1: flew to her place to hang out for just a
- 53:05Speaker 1: couple of days. Because again, I've never allowed work to
- 53:09Speaker 1: interfere because I'm like, well, I don't want to create
- 53:11Speaker 1: a habit of like, oh, I can't. And she was
- 53:14Speaker 1: so upset, and I said to her, I said, I
- 53:18Speaker 1: said something to you. I said, man, I said, I
- 53:21Speaker 1: was on stage four hours. My tour is. There's nothing
- 53:26Speaker 1: like my tour. It's never been done. This is the
- 53:29Speaker 1: first mental health tour for men. And if you know
- 53:33Speaker 1: anything about men in the Caribbean, the amount of trauma
- 53:38Speaker 1: that they are holding is unimaginable. Bishop Ellis looked at
- 53:44Speaker 1: me and he said, I can't even begin to tell
- 53:46Speaker 1: you the work that you're doing and what is going
- 53:49Speaker 1: to cost you. Bishop Jake said to me, he said,
- 53:53Speaker 1: you are healing ancestral wombs. Matter of fact, he said,
- 53:57Speaker 1: ancient wombs. I cannot tell you the weight of that
- 54:01Speaker 1: because I've never seen a man talk mental health, prophecy
- 54:05Speaker 1: and all. Because it's one thing to preach, because you're
- 54:08Speaker 1: talking spiritual one, it's another thing to come and when
- 54:10Speaker 1: you have to give for prophecy where I'm not only
- 54:13Speaker 1: speaking to the spirit, I'm also speaking to the trauma. Yeah,
- 54:17Speaker 1: And so I said I knew that. Like she couldn't
- 54:20Speaker 1: even comfort it. I said, you know what, this ain't
- 54:23Speaker 1: gonna work. And and that was in it.
- 54:25Speaker 2: An immature it's a dangerous woman. And an immature woman
- 54:29Speaker 2: doesn't necessarily mean she's not matured mentally. If she is
- 54:34Speaker 2: not matured to be graced for who you are, that
- 54:38Speaker 2: immediately makes her.
- 54:40Speaker 1: And she came back and said that, she said, she said, Jay,
- 54:42Speaker 1: I it was like she said, I didn't know. I
- 54:50Speaker 1: thought I did. She didn't have a revelation with who
- 54:52Speaker 1: you are and who you were, didn't have a revelation.
- 54:54Speaker 2: So you're picking people. So if we choose people, yeah
- 54:58Speaker 2: who don't revelation, we can't get frustrated.
- 55:02Speaker 1: M hm.
- 55:03Speaker 2: You have to choose people.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Thank God, we'll be on that point.
- 55:06Speaker 2: So I'm like, that was so you have you have
- 55:09Speaker 2: to choose people who have a revelation and who you
- 55:12Speaker 2: are spiritually.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Because that's so important. Ambitious said to me, you don't
- 55:17Speaker 1: want nobody that you gotta tell them who you are. Wow,
- 55:25Speaker 1: mister Jake said to me, I just I was. I said,
- 55:29Speaker 1: mm hmmmm. He said, never had to tell Siri or
- 55:33Speaker 1: who I was. Wow, she knew who I was before
- 55:38Speaker 1: I knew me.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Mm hmmmm.
- 55:42Speaker 1: So going back to what you said, if they don't
- 55:44Speaker 1: have a revelation and to the good people out there,
- 55:49Speaker 1: if it ain't equal, don't.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Yoke it, don't don't.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Listen. This has been probably this thing got David Bird's
- 56:01Speaker 1: We're now alone with the female version. This is probably
- 56:04Speaker 1: one of my favorite episode. And here's why, because in
- 56:08Speaker 1: real time you got to see me and you got
- 56:14Speaker 1: to see doctor Johnson speaking to me but also speaking
- 56:18Speaker 1: to you. I don't know where you are in life.
- 56:22Speaker 1: I don't know what you do. I don't know what
- 56:24Speaker 1: you're going through, what you're navigating, what you're processing. But
- 56:30Speaker 1: healing is yours if you choose it. You've heard Doc
- 56:35Speaker 1: give me a word, and you heard her speak to
- 56:38Speaker 1: some other. You know, we're allowing the cameras to flow.
- 56:42Speaker 1: But part of understanding your true identity is understanding who
- 56:48Speaker 1: you are in God. And I'm just gonna I'm just
- 56:50Speaker 1: gonna put that out there. And you haven't really healed
- 56:53Speaker 1: until you can identify who you are in Him.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Other than that, you'll continue to identify yourself through the trauma,
- 57:01Speaker 1: through the abuse, through what happened, what should have happened,
- 57:04Speaker 1: who did it, who said it? All those different things,
- 57:08Speaker 1: And I just want to encourage you to continue doing
- 57:10Speaker 1: the work. You just heard a woman of God. You
- 57:13Speaker 1: just heard a transformation, transformational coach. You just heard a mother.
- 57:19Speaker 1: You just heard from a business woman, you heard from
- 57:22Speaker 1: a sister, You heard from a voice an instrument that
- 57:30Speaker 1: God is using in the marketplace and in ministry. And
- 57:34Speaker 1: what I love about Doc is because it's a reflection
- 57:37Speaker 1: of me. God that not just call me to ministry.
- 57:39Speaker 1: He called me to the marketplace. And I've always own
- 57:41Speaker 1: that I don't know where you're called to, but I
- 57:45Speaker 1: encourage you wherever you call to keep doing the work
- 57:49Speaker 1: because if God is going to keep expanding you and
- 57:52Speaker 1: keep elevating you, you're going to have to go deeper
- 57:55Speaker 1: in you and in Him. And that's been one of
- 57:58Speaker 1: the biggest lesson that I've realized is that yesterday's you know,
- 58:04Speaker 1: Joe fact Joe said, yesterday's price is not today's price.
- 58:06Speaker 1: But can I tell you yesterday prayers ain't gonna work
- 58:09Speaker 1: for the day. It ain't man every day. You got
- 58:15Speaker 1: to go before Him every day. And that's what true
- 58:21Speaker 1: healing is is being able to surrender your trauma, surrender
- 58:26Speaker 1: your pain, surrender even your emotions because sometimes we're tied
- 58:31Speaker 1: to the emotion. I can I've been there. You're tied
- 58:34Speaker 1: to the emotion, and that can keep us from growing
- 58:39Speaker 1: and moving toward where God wants to have us. So again,
- 58:43Speaker 1: I hope this episode blows your socks off. I know
- 58:46Speaker 1: this episode gonna do numbers because doctor Johnson is just
- 58:50Speaker 1: and she she gonna be everywhere now. I'm telling you right,
- 58:52Speaker 1: You're gonna be everywhere now because these folks, Yes, listen, listen,
- 59:00Speaker 1: said listen. I'm glad she was here first.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Grateful, Yes, the first. She was here first.
- 59:06Speaker 1: So first, God, you did not disappoint Thank you so
- 59:09Speaker 1: much for pouring to the audience. And I pray that
- 59:13Speaker 1: what you have poured out God pours back into you.
- 59:16Speaker 1: And pray that God continues to keep protecting you and
- 59:19Speaker 1: shielding you because you are a mouthpiece for God. You
- 59:24Speaker 1: are a mouthpiece for God. And I'm just grateful for
- 59:28Speaker 1: even the way we connected. It was a God that
- 59:32Speaker 1: was a God thing.
- 59:33Speaker 2: So God, so God.
- 59:35Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you something I got. God had
- 59:38Speaker 1: me to start running and praying and this, and I
- 59:42Speaker 1: tell you something. God is so patient with us. We
- 59:44Speaker 1: often think that God is trying to get us do it.
- 59:46Speaker 1: You know. It's almost like people like changes, both a
- 59:49Speaker 1: process and an outcome. So God had me start getting
- 59:52Speaker 1: up in November running early in the morning. And then
- 59:56Speaker 1: as I started running, a God in the rhythm. God
- 59:59Speaker 1: got me in a rhythm of just praying as I
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: was talking to there, and then I began asking God.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: I said, God, I've gone as far as I can. Okay,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: who's in next? Samuel? Mm hmmm, And I asked God,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I said, God, I need a Samuel. I don't need
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: a Saul. I need a Samuel, and God sent you
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: and we connected, and I'm forever grateful even for J
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Bowling being obedient, because me and him don't.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Even talk like that is so amazing.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: We don't even talk like we talk, but it's like,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: you know, everybody's busy. And he was like, bro, I
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: don't even why. He said you need to meet somebody,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: and it was you, yeah, yeah, And it could not
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: have come at a better time because I'm at these
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: pivotal places in life where I want to make the
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: right decision and.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: Doctor J is so coachable. I just want everybody to
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: know that he really is so so coachable. I mean,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if you ever give
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: anybody else any pushed back, but I'm government but one
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: thing I can say, you are really pushing, and you
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: have been pushing to find your rhythm. You have been attentive,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: very attentive in listening to what and how. So because
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: I think it's important. You know, you know, so many
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: people have podcasts, people call themselves therapists. They sit down,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: but you know, everything is a mess behind closed doors,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: and so I think it's important for people to know
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: as you're sitting down with such a topic just here.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I think people need to know that you're really doing
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: the work, and it is not not for a motive
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: because you know who am I? You know I, you
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: know I, you know out here popping. You just wanted
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: who God had to do the work with you, and
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: you received that. Like we talked about earlier, you came
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: into agreement. And so as you have come into agreement,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: I'm so excited to see what you're going to be
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: released into. You know, as you continue to find this
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: rhythm and help people to work. Listen, audience, don't allow trauma.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Don't allow yourself to become trapped in your trauma. Yes,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: use trauma as a vehicle to be transformed. And that's
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: what I'm gonna.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: End with, all Right, you heard it. Use trauma as
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: a vehicle to be transformed. And until next time, healing
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: is a journey and wholeness is the destination. Keep doing
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: the work just here with Doctor J a production of
