I confess that I was a little reluctant to read Kamala Harris’s book. As everybody knows, we’re in the midst of an extreme authoritarian takeover in this country. It’s frustrating to think that if Harris had set aside donation money to demand hand recounts in the swing states, this all might have been avoided. It feels entirely possible that we would have found significant evidence of voter fraud, and that certain powerful people would have been held to account.
