- 0:00Speaker 1: Uh, they Yeah, I do. I've got I've got a
- 0:03Speaker 1: couple of things here. Uh So Ruth Chris Steakhouse, expensive food,
- 0:09Speaker 1: expensive steak I've never I've never once been to a
- 0:13Speaker 1: Ruth Chris, but I neither. Uh they're there. I know
- 0:17Speaker 1: they're expensive, and I think they're probably pretty pretty good.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been a couple of times they have them,
- 0:22Speaker 2: and I've been there in Oregon and I've been.
- 0:25Speaker 1: It's funny, we've never been to Ruth Chris Kerry and
- 0:28Speaker 1: I haven't. And and we're all our studios practically on
- 0:33Speaker 1: top of Ruth Christ. I've not.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I've not gone because Sean Hannity is our spokesperson.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Used to be. I don't know if he does it anymore.
- 0:41Speaker 1: But Ruth Chris policy, they have a dress code now
- 0:44Speaker 1: apparently they didn't have much of a one, but they've
- 0:47Speaker 1: decided to firm it up. States that guests who do
- 0:50Speaker 1: not meet the dress code may be asked to dine
- 0:52Speaker 1: in the bar or lounge area instead. Uh. The guidelines
- 0:56Speaker 1: say that hats should be removed upon entering he People
- 1:00Speaker 1: wearing ball caps will be directed to sit in the
- 1:02Speaker 1: bar instead of the main dining room. The following attire
- 1:06Speaker 1: is not permitted in their dining room, gym ware, pool attire,
- 1:10Speaker 1: tank tops, clothing with offensive graphics or language, revealing clothing,
- 1:15Speaker 1: or exposed undergarments. Ruth Chris by the Way is owned
- 1:19Speaker 1: by Darden Restaurant Group, which operates Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse,
- 1:23Speaker 1: and The Capitol Grill. And so Ruth Chris is just
- 1:27Speaker 1: trying to you know, they're trying to class it up,
- 1:30Speaker 1: you know, just like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
- 1:33Speaker 1: U the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, they've enacted a
- 1:38Speaker 1: dress code as well. Oh, organizers for the world's largest
- 1:41Speaker 1: rodeo are putting their foot down, demanding guests dress appropriately
- 1:46Speaker 1: when coming to the livestock show and rodeo. Proper attire
- 1:49Speaker 1: must be worn at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear.
- 1:54Speaker 2: There are pictures that accompany this story that I don't
- 1:58Speaker 2: think we have, but.
- 2:01Speaker 1: The livestock people going to the livestock Oh yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 2: The women they're mostly naked, like, oh, they're gross.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Why would well, it's a livestock show. It's a lot
- 2:12Speaker 1: you know, who cares who.
- 2:14Speaker 3: So they're trying to say, please wear your shirtock please
- 2:18Speaker 3: wear clothes.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Wow, I you know, they're just it's the livestock Show.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And I think I feel the same way about Ruth's Chris.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It's just Ruth's Chris.
- 2:27Speaker 3: My dad would wear a bolo tie to the livestock
- 2:29Speaker 3: Show and his nice hat.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Wear what you want at ruth Chris. Now Chili's Chili's
- 2:36Speaker 1: is doing it too. No, they're they're they're calling out
- 2:38Speaker 1: Ruth's Chris. Oh yeah, Chili's. Chili's just says the only
- 2:44Speaker 1: dress code at Chili's is that you have to be dressed.
- 2:47Speaker 1: That's our only dress code. You have to be dressed.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Chili Chili's is.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Sort of I think Chili's is making the point that
- 2:55Speaker 2: I was making the other day when my husband and
- 2:58Speaker 2: I went out to dinner and there was no code
- 3:01Speaker 2: or anything at the restaurant we went to. I just
- 3:04Speaker 2: had a sense that really, you have to wear a
- 3:06Speaker 2: ball cap out to a nice dinner. Don't wear a
- 3:09Speaker 2: ball cap out to a nice dinner.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You want there to be a dress code.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I think there are most places you go out to
- 3:17Speaker 2: eat you can wear a ball cap. You can dress
- 3:20Speaker 2: however you like, But there's nothing wrong with there being
- 3:23Speaker 2: a few places where you wanted to be a nice
- 3:26Speaker 2: experience and not wear.
- 3:28Speaker 3: A ball Well, you mentioned Capital Girl is part of
- 3:30Speaker 3: this group, and I went to Capitol Girl over here
- 3:33Speaker 3: a couple of months ago, and I was told that
- 3:37Speaker 3: there was a dress code. It doesn't affect me because
- 3:40Speaker 3: I always go clothed exactly. But there was some meathead
- 3:44Speaker 3: in there who you know, had his guns out.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You know, he's wearing a tank.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Top show he had the gun obviously a guy who
- 3:50Speaker 3: spends his day in the gym, you know, and he
- 3:53Speaker 3: had the gun show going. And I'm like, I thought
- 3:54Speaker 3: there was a dress code, don't I don't think they
- 3:58Speaker 3: mean well let him Well, if you've got the money.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Now. Now, the last time we talked about this, I
- 4:04Speaker 2: had a lot of people saying, you know, men wear
- 4:07Speaker 2: ball caps because they're balding and they're embarrassed. First of all,
- 4:11Speaker 2: don't be embarrassed. Nobody cares. It's easy for you to
- 4:16Speaker 2: say you got hair, Oh, if you got x nic
- 4:18Speaker 2: dot com slash live. I sent them over the picture.
- 4:21Speaker 1: That's the that's the rodeo. To me, that's perfectly fine
- 4:25Speaker 1: rodeo attire.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yes it is, butts hanging out.
- 4:29Speaker 3: You're gonna be sitting on them wooden bleachers.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Not her whole butt a good it's her haunches that
- 4:37Speaker 1: are showing at least a quarter of her. But anyway,
- 4:41Speaker 1: it's the live stock show. Who cares. Now, I'm a hattist,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'll admit it.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but you have nice hats. Those are different.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But I've got a prejudice against basses ball caps.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I know you used to wear one all the time.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I used to wear one, yeah, but then I started
- 5:00Speaker 3: investing in good hats, not this one. The one I'm
- 5:03Speaker 3: wearing today is actually my cheapest one. But there are
- 5:06Speaker 3: a lot of My hats are very nice, and I've
- 5:10Speaker 3: never had any problem.
- 5:11Speaker 1: At a restaurant.
- 5:12Speaker 2: We well, you wear fashion hats, I think are different
- 5:16Speaker 2: than a gentleman.
- 5:17Speaker 1: A gentleman carry removes his hat when he enters. That
- 5:23Speaker 1: is true a restaurant or even a building.
- 5:25Speaker 2: That is true.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Well, if you're waiting the waiting room at the doctor's office,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you remove your hat, is true. I have no gentleman.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You're supposed you're only support. I mean, isn't that the rule?
- 5:35Speaker 1: You're only support to wear your hat. That's what I
- 5:37Speaker 1: was told outdoors.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yes, let's see here's my wife on my way to Phoenix.
- 5:42Speaker 3: The girl next to me was wearing just a sports
- 5:44Speaker 3: bra and leggings sandals. She took off her shoes during
- 5:48Speaker 3: the flight, and the bottoms of her shoes were black.
- 5:52Speaker 3: She tucked her feet, Yeah, she tucked her feet up
- 5:54Speaker 3: under her thigh.
- 5:56Speaker 1: It was almost touching me. Gross. Yeah, that's not good out.
- 6:00Speaker 1: She's not going to be able to go to Ruth
- 6:01Speaker 1: Chris or the livestock show. That's so Ruth Chris and
- 6:07Speaker 1: the Livestock Show. They well, you go to the livestock
- 6:10Speaker 1: show first to see where your dinner's coming from.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So here's a theory about the dress code thing. Okay,
- 6:16Speaker 3: did COVID change everything?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Because no, Before I think this was not an issue.
- 6:21Speaker 3: After since we were staying at home and comfortable and
- 6:25Speaker 3: comfortable all the time.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I think it might have accentuated it.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Now, you know, everyone wants to wear pajamas to the.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Airport, you know, I think it might have amplified it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But I mean, girls have been going to the seven
- 6:38Speaker 1: to eleven and their pajamas and their slippers for forever.
- 6:41Speaker 2: You know, as comfortable as pajamas are, don't you feel
- 6:46Speaker 2: better about yourself? When you take a minute and care
- 6:50Speaker 2: about you're dressed.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I used to not, but now I do.
- 6:55Speaker 2: You feel a little better about it.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I know that doesn't work for me, because no matter
- 6:59Speaker 1: what I do, this is what it is.
- 7:02Speaker 2: No matter what I do, they're not possible to know
- 7:04Speaker 2: better about yourself.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I've been wearing a little bit nicer shirts lately, a
- 7:09Speaker 1: long sleeve.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Shirts, and that doesn't feel a little bit better.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I just do it to I just wear the long
- 7:14Speaker 1: sleeve shirts to hide the bruises. That's all.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Plus, it's nice to have a different mindset. When you're home,
- 7:23Speaker 2: you put your comfort clothes on, you curl up on
- 7:26Speaker 2: the couch with the dog and watch the show. If
- 7:29Speaker 2: you take that out into the exactly, it's not as
- 7:32Speaker 2: special that when you go home. The world is not
- 7:35Speaker 2: your private space, you know.
- 7:37Speaker 1: You know, I defy you to name a restaurant that'll
- 7:41Speaker 1: let you curl up on the couch with a dog
- 7:43Speaker 1: at a restaurant, they won't let you. Can't do it.
- 7:46Speaker 2: But you're dressed like that's what you're doing.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Well, I don't.
- 7:49Speaker 2: That's that's home home attire.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I just don't. I have no problem. I you know,
- 7:54Speaker 1: if I'm at a if I'm met a nice restaurant,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't really dress way up, but I mean,
- 7:59Speaker 1: I mean, sure what I have is clean and presentable.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And but if somebody is wearing, you know, a tank
- 8:05Speaker 1: top and a ball cap, and I mean, it's it
- 8:10Speaker 1: doesn't just it doesn't detract from my experience, I don't
- 8:14Speaker 1: I don't care. I just don't care. Now, what I
- 8:18Speaker 1: don't like is if they're being if they're acting like
- 8:21Speaker 1: people who wear a ball cap.
- 8:23Speaker 3: And.
- 8:25Speaker 1: That that's my problem.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Your clothes help help define your behavior.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Well, not all people who wear ball caps and tank
- 8:34Speaker 1: tops are brutes either. Man of the people Bill, all right, yeah,
- 8:39Speaker 1: pretty much. I mean, yeah, I'm.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Saying there's a time and a place for things. That's
- 8:45Speaker 2: what I'm I'm not anti ball cap. I'm anti ball
- 8:50Speaker 2: cap and tank top in certain places.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Well, get your own restaurant, okay, I mean at my house,
- 8:59Speaker 3: we have a no outside clothes on the bed.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 9:04Speaker 2: You know, you get in your you know, your world
- 9:07Speaker 2: is a gross place.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You know what I'd like to have is a is
- 9:10Speaker 1: a no burrito in the ice machine rule. You're not
- 9:14Speaker 1: being very man of the people because you know, I
- 9:21Speaker 1: needed someplace to put the burrito. It's cold. If it
- 9:24Speaker 1: didn't look so much like a turd, I wouldn't. It's
- 9:26Speaker 1: wrapped up, it's not hurting anything. It looks like a
- 9:29Speaker 1: wrap tur It doesn't affect the behavior of the ice
