- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you, always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Of course, I'm your host, Clay, and with me, like
- 0:27Speaker 3: every single week, of course, is Katie. Katie, how are
- 0:31Speaker 3: you doing today?
- 0:32Speaker 4: I'm okay.
- 0:33Speaker 3: We'll leave it at that.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Now, I didn't see the names attached to your group chat,
- 0:43Speaker 2: but your family is pretty hyped about the subject that
- 0:47Speaker 2: we're going to be talking about today, our main topic,
- 0:50Speaker 2: which is actually one of our first, I believe this
- 0:54Speaker 2: is only the second time we have ever done a
- 0:59Speaker 2: topic based show as far as a conversation piece.
- 1:06Speaker 3: We don't know. We don't usually do this.
- 1:08Speaker 2: We usually have our conversation pieces around either reviewing something
- 1:12Speaker 2: like a book, movie, TV show. And then of course
- 1:16Speaker 2: talking about the news. But I had suggested last year, like, Hey,
- 1:21Speaker 2: we need a little bit more of these out there
- 1:24Speaker 2: on our feed to.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Because they're just fun. They're conversation pieces.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It kind of just gets the mind wondering about our
- 1:30Speaker 2: favorite topic of Star Wars. So our main topic today
- 1:36Speaker 2: is what if? The top 10 what if stories that
- 1:43Speaker 2: we want in Star Wars.
- 1:45Speaker 4: And I don't know if I have 10. Let's just
- 1:47Speaker 4: be clear.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I will be completely honest. I have nine. I have
- 1:51Speaker 3: been contemplating on the 10th one. So much. And I'll
- 1:57Speaker 3: be honest with you guys.
- 1:58Speaker 2: There is a lot of the, like, well-known, like, fan
- 2:03Speaker 2: favorite what-if stories.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I kept all of those off my list.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Well, and more so, I kept it off of my list.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I kept it off of my list because I knew either....
- 2:21Speaker 2: The listeners and or fans would bring their own and
- 2:27Speaker 2: those would probably be there or you would bring some
- 2:29Speaker 2: of them to the table. So I was like, Hey,
- 2:31Speaker 2: we don't need to do, we don't need to double
- 2:34Speaker 2: up or anything. So I want to try to do
- 2:36Speaker 2: completely original what ifs. So I will say this. I
- 2:41Speaker 2: do have a few from the geek verse discord. Cause
- 2:46Speaker 2: I said we were going to do this and then
- 2:49Speaker 2: Chris over at Marvel Alliance also chimed in with his
- 2:55Speaker 2: I will say his are a little bit more jokey
- 2:58Speaker 2: and a little fun but he has two of them
- 3:01Speaker 2: as well but before we get into the main topic
- 3:05Speaker 2: we do have like one piece of news.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Which is about the Mandalorian and Grogu movie we got
- 3:16Speaker 3: some streaming numbers Yes, and I have.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Those pulled up. So these are from Nielsen, guys.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:24Speaker 4: And this is for the week of August 31st to
- 3:26Speaker 4: September 6th, which we know that The Mandalorian and Grogu
- 3:30Speaker 4: released on Disney Plus on September 2nd. So it's not
- 3:34Speaker 4: a full week of data, which I think lends itself
- 3:38Speaker 4: to more later on. But The Mandalorian and Grogu accumulated
- 3:44Speaker 4: $ 727 million. Million minutes watched, becoming the number two streaming
- 3:50Speaker 4: movie behind Netflix's The Whisper Man and the number 10
- 3:54Speaker 4: most watched title on streaming in general. The third show,
- 3:59Speaker 4: just for reference, guys, is a bit more than half
- 4:04Speaker 4: of what Mando had. It's Mayday at 382 million minutes watched. So.
- 4:12Speaker 4: I think this bodes well for the longevity. I think
- 4:15Speaker 4: a lot of people were like, Oh, this is a
- 4:17Speaker 4: popcorn movie. Like it'll wait until it comes to streaming.
- 4:22Speaker 4: And so I'll be interested to see next week's numbers
- 4:24Speaker 4: just to see if, how it plays again. But we'll see. Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And, and I think that it's perfectly fine that, you know, any, if,
- 4:38Speaker 2: if this movie would have done poorly on Disney plus,
- 4:40Speaker 2: then we would have been like, ah, crap, this is really,
- 4:44Speaker 2: really bad looking for Star Wars. But we kind of
- 4:47Speaker 2: expected this from the start. So I think it's totally
- 4:50Speaker 2: okay and really, really good for the brand. So yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 2: let's go ahead and jump into these what ifs. And guys,
- 4:59Speaker 2: we're only going to talk very little about them. We
- 5:02Speaker 2: have close to 10 each, possibly. And we're kind of
- 5:07Speaker 2: just going to talk about the like, hey, This is
- 5:13Speaker 2: the what if and what could kind of start to
- 5:16Speaker 2: snowball if that thing occurred. You know, like what ramifications
- 5:22Speaker 2: does it have for the Star Wars universe? So to
- 5:26Speaker 2: start off, Chris Balga over at Marvel Alliance has two.
- 5:30Speaker 2: And again, they're a little bit more jokey. So the
- 5:35Speaker 2: first one, what if Rey Skywalker was a Kenobi? This
- 5:42Speaker 2: is something that was literally, like, something that people speculated
- 5:48Speaker 2: on very, very early on in the sequel trilogy franchise.
- 5:55Speaker 2: And he didn't really give anything other than, like, hey,
- 5:58Speaker 2: a what if. But I think this would not change
- 6:03Speaker 2: much other than the snowball of being a Palpatine.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Like, genuinely.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I agree to an extent. I do think it ties
- 6:17Speaker 4: in a little bit more into other media than what
- 6:21Speaker 4: we had. Like, you could have said, oh, she's Satine's kid. Like,
- 6:27Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 6:28Speaker 3: I was going to say, does that make her, like,
- 6:30Speaker 3: half Mandalore? Or, like, a quarter Mandalore? Oh.
- 6:36Speaker 4: So you could have said, gone along those lines where like, oh,
- 6:41Speaker 4: Bo-Katan like took her away and like, that's how she
- 6:45Speaker 4: ended up on Jakku. Those kinds of things just to
- 6:50Speaker 4: like play with it a little bit. We had a
- 6:52Speaker 4: lot of theories when the whole Rays of Kenobi came
- 6:55Speaker 4: out initially. But yeah, I think having her be a
- 7:02Speaker 4: Kenobi could have been fun and interesting. But I get
- 7:06Speaker 4: why they wanted to tie her to the big bad. Yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 2: And then I think this is more of something that
- 7:14Speaker 2: I think everybody jokes about. But the second one Chris
- 7:17Speaker 2: brought up was, what if somehow Palpatine didn't return? And
- 7:24Speaker 2: this one, I think, is just a, hey, we get
- 7:31Speaker 2: more Kylo in a much bigger villain role.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Role than what he became overall.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And I do think there's more to Palpatine returning. Is
- 7:47Speaker 4: he actually Bane from several years ago and they've just
- 7:50Speaker 4: been going down the train? I would love to explore
- 7:53Speaker 4: that aspect a little bit more. But I do think
- 7:58Speaker 4: that if Palpatine had not returned, I do think and
- 8:03Speaker 4: speak to this what you will, I think Snoke would
- 8:05Speaker 4: have kind of continued into episode nine and kind of
- 8:10Speaker 4: been the big bad that allows them to really develop
- 8:17Speaker 4: Kylo Ren a little bit more. Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So now let's go to the Discord real quick.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:28Speaker 2: We got SuperbadMike saying his top five And we'll start
- 8:33Speaker 2: with five going to one. Number five is what if
- 8:37Speaker 2: Qui-Gon survived the fight with Maul?
- 8:40Speaker 4: Okay. That's one of mine.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So I think this is indirectly one of mine because
- 8:51Speaker 2: I'll go ahead and share one of mine, which is
- 8:53Speaker 2: actually like when I wrote them all down, I didn't
- 8:57Speaker 2: say like, oh, I prefer this one over this one
- 9:00Speaker 2: or whatever. I just wrote them down. So this is
- 9:03Speaker 2: like no given order, really. But because we're kind of
- 9:06Speaker 2: talking about the same thing, I said, what if Qui-Gon
- 9:10Speaker 2: confronted Dooku instead of Yaddle?
- 9:12Speaker 3: And I had.
- 9:14Speaker 1: To refer back to the Tales of the Jedi episode.
- 9:30Speaker 3: And do some more research. Because I remembered. Hey. The
- 9:34Speaker 3: events of episode one.
- 9:37Speaker 4: And the confrontation.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Take place during the time. So.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I don't know the exact timeline. But I am pretty sure.
- 9:49Speaker 2: That if Qui-Gon. Had confronted Dooku. Instead of Yaddle. He
- 9:54Speaker 2: would have had to defeat Maul.
- 9:57Speaker 4: So. I think- on when the confrontation takes place. Because
- 10:03Speaker 4: you could have potentially seen Qui-Gon... Because they had the...
- 10:08Speaker 4: Where Maul was on Tatooine trying to take out the ship.
- 10:12Speaker 4: And then they go to Coruscant. And so you could
- 10:16Speaker 4: have potentially had Qui-Gon confront Dooku then. To where... Maul
- 10:21Speaker 4: could have still taken him out later on.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 10:27Speaker 4: And kind of playing in that direction. I had Qui-Gon
- 10:30Speaker 4: surviving Maul. It was actually one of my siblings, but
- 10:32Speaker 4: I knew that one in the back of my head
- 10:34Speaker 4: was probably going to be one that I did. And
- 10:39Speaker 4: I think this just adds a different element to Anakin's
- 10:44Speaker 4: journey into the Jedi Order, because what we knew from
- 10:48Speaker 4: Qui-Gon leaving Coruscant to go back to Naboo is that
- 10:55Speaker 4: he was going to train Anakin, whether the Jedi Council
- 10:58Speaker 4: allowed him to or not. So growing up and being
- 11:02Speaker 4: trained as a Jedi outside of the Jedi Council may
- 11:05Speaker 4: have allowed him a little bit more flexibility and less
- 11:08Speaker 4: rigidity that Obi-Wan tries to develop in him because Qui-Gon knows, hey,
- 11:14Speaker 4: like the Jedi, Like what we know in Master and
- 11:18Speaker 4: Apprentice and I think there's another one, Dooku Jedi Lost,
- 11:24Speaker 4: is that he is a little bit more flexible. He
- 11:26Speaker 4: doesn't believe in how many rules that the Jedi Council
- 11:29Speaker 4: is adapting and trying to go about that way. So
- 11:33Speaker 4: it might have saved Anakin from a turn to the
- 11:35Speaker 4: dark side in the long scheme.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and with mine, with Qui-Gon confronting Dooku, it really
- 11:43Speaker 2: has a lot of implications because it could go both ways.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Qui-Gon being the heart that he is, has a possibility of,
- 11:52Speaker 2: you know, saying, Dooku, don't do this, and Dooku actually listening. Or,
- 11:58Speaker 2: even more heartbreaking, he tries to bring Dooku back and
- 12:03Speaker 2: Dooku inevitably kills his old apprentice. Like, that I think
- 12:10Speaker 2: is like, unfortunately, you know, guys, we've talked about this
- 12:14Speaker 2: plenty of times. I will never get my happily ever
- 12:17Speaker 2: after in star Wars. And this is just one of
- 12:20Speaker 2: those other times that I would probably not get my
- 12:25Speaker 2: happily ever after. So, uh, super bag, Mike has number four. Uh,
- 12:32Speaker 2: what if Ray and Kylo teamed up after killing snow?
- 12:37Speaker 3: Um, This, I think....
- 12:41Speaker 4: So, my assumption with that would be Rey goes.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Dark.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Is that your assumption with this? Ooh.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I don't know. You can go both ways. You really can,
- 12:58Speaker 3: because the conversation after that.
- 13:02Speaker 2: was them both pleading to each other, like, hey, you
- 13:05Speaker 2: don't have to do this, or hey, you don't have
- 13:07Speaker 2: to do this, like, you know, from both sides.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I think the more interesting story would be that Rey
- 13:15Speaker 3: goes dark.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Now, with the conversation now, after we've read Legacy, I
- 13:23Speaker 2: think holds a lot more weight because of, well, oh man,
- 13:29Speaker 2: Legacy wouldn't even be a thing anymore.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Because that's after the Last Jedi. Oh, man.
- 13:38Speaker 4: It changes a lot of things.
- 13:40Speaker 3: That confrontation within herself with the evil Rey inside of
- 13:46Speaker 3: her that she kind of has been fighting this entire time,
- 13:48Speaker 3: that just is released at that point, I guess.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yep.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Because of everything she goes through in Last Jedi, she could...
- 13:59Speaker 4: very easily decide, like, okay, I want to go with him. And,
- 14:04Speaker 4: I mean, that might even mean that Kylo doesn't seek
- 14:07Speaker 4: out Sidious. Like, and run into that issue where Sidious
- 14:13Speaker 4: reaches out to him. Kylo might be too distracted on
- 14:16Speaker 4: having Rey as an apprentice.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Very true. Very, very true.
- 14:23Speaker 2: His number three is, what if Anakin killed Obi-Wan on Mustafar?
- 14:29Speaker 2: um this actually i didn't want to bring this up
- 14:32Speaker 2: because this is actually a what if ending that has
- 14:37Speaker 2: somewhat come into fruition if anybody has played the revenge
- 14:41Speaker 2: of the sith ps2 and xbox game um you play
- 14:46Speaker 2: the storyline of revenge of the sith and the last
- 14:51Speaker 2: level lets you play on both sides it lets you
- 14:54Speaker 2: play as anakin and lets you play as obi-wan And
- 14:56Speaker 2: it does allow you, as Anakin, to win the fight
- 15:02Speaker 2: with Obi-Wan. And he does actually make that jump, stabs Obi-Wan.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Obi-Wan falls into the lava and dies. And as he walks,
- 15:16Speaker 2: this is the actual ending.
- 15:17Speaker 3: So spoilers for a 25-year-old video game.
- 15:18Speaker 1: But....
- 15:26Speaker 2: He then, because at the end of the movie, you
- 15:29Speaker 2: see Palpatine and the clones, like, go fetch him by
- 15:32Speaker 2: the lava or whatever and send him on the ship. Well,
- 15:36Speaker 2: Anakin meets Palpatine at the ship and kills him.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yep.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And then he's like, okay, now I'm the leader of
- 15:44Speaker 2: the galaxy. And boom, you know, it's just like that.
- 15:49Speaker 2: But what it doesn't show is what happens to Padme afterward.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 15:56Speaker 3: You know?
- 15:57Speaker 4: And that's like, that's something that my, I think that's
- 16:03Speaker 4: actually something that Matt brought up was if Anakin survives Mustafar,
- 16:09Speaker 4: what actually happens to Padme? Does Padme survive pregnancy? Does
- 16:15Speaker 4: she decide that she's going to stay with Anakin or
- 16:17Speaker 4: does she go into hiding? The list just goes on
- 16:21Speaker 4: and on.
- 16:21Speaker 3: So this goes into my number two.
- 16:24Speaker 2: My number two is what if Padme was Palpatine's key
- 16:29Speaker 2: to overthrowing the Republic instead of Anakin?
- 16:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:37Speaker 2: So instead of doing the brute force of Anakin and
- 16:42Speaker 2: taking him, like using him to take out the Jedi,
- 16:47Speaker 2: what if he indirectly does the same thing, but with Padme?
- 16:52Speaker 3: Would Anakin... go so far as to fall to the
- 16:56Speaker 3: dark side with a convincing Padme?
- 17:05Speaker 4: I mean, technically the way you phrase that, Padme is
- 17:08Speaker 4: kind of the whole key to overthrowing the Republic because
- 17:12Speaker 4: Palpatine uses her as a fulcrum.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yes but i mean i mean directly like he like yeah.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Brings her under his wing and says like hey this
- 17:23Speaker 3: is this is who i am this is what's gonna
- 17:26Speaker 3: happen and so she basically becomes oh what's his name
- 17:32Speaker 3: uh blue alien um i'm at.
- 17:33Speaker 5: The tip of my tongue um um the rhodian that
- 17:38Speaker 5: no no that gives that gives the order to destroy
- 17:42Speaker 5: all the lightsabers um.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Oh, Masamita.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yeah, like Padme is Masamita, basically.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Knowing her personality, and this may be because you haven't
- 17:58Speaker 4: read the trilogy of Queen's books, I don't think that, like,
- 18:04Speaker 4: I don't think Padme would fall for it. Like, I
- 18:06Speaker 4: think if Palpatine tried to do that, he would have
- 18:08Speaker 4: to have her assassinated.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yes, but this is a what if. This is the
- 18:12Speaker 3: whole point, Katie. This is the whole point.
- 18:15Speaker 4: I'm bad at these.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Things the whole crux of it is that something in
- 18:22Speaker 2: this new branch of the Star Wars universe has to
- 18:26Speaker 2: happen to a point where Padme does feel the need
- 18:31Speaker 2: hey doing this with Sidious slash Palpatine will be better
- 18:37Speaker 2: for the universe that does mean a lot of shit
- 18:41Speaker 2: has to go wrong but In the end, that's what
- 18:46Speaker 2: would happen. Superbad Mike does have two more with number
- 18:52Speaker 2: two being Rogue One failed to steal the Death Star plans.
- 19:00Speaker 3: What if Rogue One failed to steal the Death Star plans?
- 19:08Speaker 3: The rest of Star Wars as we know it just
- 19:10Speaker 3: does not happen. Pew.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Pew.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Poof! Into existence. But, of course, we have to also
- 19:22Speaker 3: understand the reality of the Star Wars universe is that
- 19:27Speaker 3: the Force, the embodiment of the Force, is that literally
- 19:31Speaker 3: changes the way things work in order to fit a balance. So,
- 19:36Speaker 3: if that does not take place, then something else might happen. So,
- 19:42Speaker 3: for instance....
- 19:45Speaker 2: The rest of the galaxy is still, you know, under
- 19:50Speaker 2: the empire and all this other stuff it may not
- 19:53Speaker 2: mean that Luke and Leia conventionally do the things that
- 20:00Speaker 2: they do in the original trilogy in the exact same
- 20:03Speaker 2: order but it could still mean that they do come
- 20:09Speaker 2: out fighting for the rebels eventually, you know?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Right. So I.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Think that something like that, it does mean like, Hey,
- 20:23Speaker 2: this plan failed cake on the face of the rebels
- 20:27Speaker 2: for a good 15 years or so. And then maybe
- 20:33Speaker 2: something else happens.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Um, and then, uh, Number one is what if Leia
- 20:40Speaker 3: was sent to Tatooine instead of Luke? So what if.
- 20:44Speaker 4: That's one to mine.
- 20:45Speaker 3: That's one to mine. What if Organa decided he wanted
- 20:48Speaker 3: a son and not a daughter?
- 20:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I could see that happening if like he was like...
- 21:04Speaker 4: Or if like Bria... was the senator and Bail was
- 21:09Speaker 4: the king, like if it was a bloodline thing, because
- 21:12Speaker 4: what we know from Lillia, Princess of Alderaan is that
- 21:15Speaker 4: it is typically a female line of succession. And so
- 21:19Speaker 4: that's why Bria is queen, Bail is king consort, like
- 21:23Speaker 4: the whole shebang. So it could have very easily turned
- 21:26Speaker 4: the opposite way where Bria was a senator and she goes, oh,
- 21:30Speaker 4: I need a son for succession purposes. So here we go.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I think that could very easily turn out very differently
- 21:43Speaker 4: because of just moisture farming on Tatooine. Like, we know that... Oh, gosh.
- 21:50Speaker 4: What is her name? It's the aunt. Aunt Beru.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Is very much, like, a homemaker. And so Leia could
- 21:59Speaker 4: have possibly turned out to be a homemaker instead of
- 22:02Speaker 4: somebody who helps on the moisture farm.
- 22:04Speaker 3: So....
- 22:06Speaker 4: Going in that direction. Could things have lined up differently.
- 22:11Speaker 4: To where Obi-Wan. Doesn't really have a reason. To look
- 22:16Speaker 4: after Leia. Because she never really leaves. The home.
- 22:20Speaker 3: In that sense. Very true. I think. With that.
- 22:30Speaker 4: It.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It becomes very interesting. Because.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Unfortunately, just with the and.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Me and Abby have been talking a lot about it.
- 22:43Speaker 3: The patriarchy. Do we see the hesitancy in bail to
- 22:57Speaker 3: letting Luke be like in politics?
- 23:04Speaker 4: You know, I think so because we know that Luke's
- 23:10Speaker 4: temper is, he doesn't have the amount of patience that
- 23:15Speaker 4: Leia has in terms of doing things. So I still
- 23:20Speaker 4: think that Bale has the hesitancy to let Luke into
- 23:23Speaker 4: politics because.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Of that aspect.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Like he knows like, oh, you're not patient. Like, I
- 23:31Speaker 4: don't even know if he gets to like the junior
- 23:33Speaker 4: senators program that Leia was in and Leia, Princess of Alderaan.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Yeah. That's interesting.
- 23:42Speaker 2: That, I think that would be really, really fun, honestly.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Just to see how it turns out. That was, that
- 23:53Speaker 2: was super bad. Mike's top five. And then we have,
- 23:57Speaker 2: I believe two or three more people.
- 24:01Speaker 3: John M. Says that, What if Lando beat Han at Sabacc?
- 24:11Speaker 4: He does several times. So which one?
- 24:13Speaker 2: I was going to say, I think in this instance,
- 24:18Speaker 2: I think it might mean from Solo specifically. Well, this
- 24:25Speaker 2: just means that Han doesn't get the Millennium Falcon.
- 24:29Speaker 3: But....
- 24:32Speaker 4: I still think he ends up being a smuggler. He
- 24:35Speaker 4: just has a different ship with not as many fun modifications.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, 100%. And then he also said, what if Greedo
- 24:43Speaker 3: had shot Han instead of the other way around?
- 24:45Speaker 4: I was going to say, why?
- 24:48Speaker 3: It was my brother's suggestion. There is no Han shot
- 24:55Speaker 3: first or Han shot second. It's just, hey, what if
- 24:58Speaker 3: Greedo kills Han at the beginning of of a new hope.
- 25:02Speaker 3: That's what, yeah.
- 25:05Speaker 4: My brother suggested that one.
- 25:07Speaker 3: That's interesting. I never, I, it didn't even cross my
- 25:10Speaker 3: mind to ever think about this, but that kind of
- 25:14Speaker 3: foils everything. Now I do believe that Greedo immediately dies
- 25:19Speaker 3: from Chewbacca after this. But as far as does that
- 25:24Speaker 3: mean Chewbacca helps Luke and Obi-Wan? I don't think so.
- 25:31Speaker 4: I think so because they had already made the agreement. Like,
- 25:38Speaker 4: Greedo just kind of comes up afterwards.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Oh, that's right. That's right. It's not beforehand. It's after.
- 25:44Speaker 3: That's true. But yeah, that just... That just.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Means we don't have Ben Solo.
- 25:51Speaker 3: That does mean.
- 25:53Speaker 2: And that just spirals into, okay, then what does that
- 25:58Speaker 2: mean for Princess Leia? oh gosh that means that oh
- 26:03Speaker 2: gosh does does that mean that luke and leia find
- 26:08Speaker 2: out a lot later.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Yeah oh no oh well no i don't think so
- 26:17Speaker 3: i don't think so that might actually mean that the
- 26:20Speaker 3: kiss between luke and leia never happens.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Yeah because uh because she only kisses.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Him because of han this might actually help one of
- 26:33Speaker 3: the weirdest parts of the entire franchise. Oddly enough.
- 26:40Speaker 2: But yeah, that's an interesting one. That's an interesting one
- 26:42Speaker 2: because it does completely change the trajectory of the franchise
- 26:49Speaker 2: with Ben Solo. And then there was two more, I
- 26:54Speaker 2: believe from Carson and from Johnny.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Johnny.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Um so let's see here uh carson says what if
- 27:06Speaker 2: ma killed obi-wan and obi-wan kenobi all right obi-wan kenobi
- 27:10Speaker 2: and qui-gon jen and was never defeated in episode one
- 27:16Speaker 2: meaning that he because because they went on to actually
- 27:19Speaker 2: have a little bit of a conversation about this saying
- 27:22Speaker 2: that uh he was underutilized of course We did get
- 27:28Speaker 2: to see more of him in Clone Wars, the animated series.
- 27:32Speaker 2: But in the aspect of, like, hey, Dooku is never really, like,
- 27:38Speaker 2: a player of the apprentice aspect of Sidious.
- 27:44Speaker 3: And he never really was. He was just a bigger pawn, really.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Because they never really treated... Dooku as a true apprentice
- 28:00Speaker 3: it was more of like a like hey you're well
- 28:05Speaker 3: known and I think Sidious would have definitely moved him
- 28:09Speaker 3: up to that but because of what happened in Attack
- 28:14Speaker 3: of the Clones it never got there.
- 28:18Speaker 2: That's my opinion but what do you think if Maul
- 28:22Speaker 2: never died in quote unquote died really just, he was
- 28:28Speaker 2: never defeated. And that's kind of the wording here in
- 28:32Speaker 2: Carson's message.
- 28:34Speaker 3: What if he was.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Never defeated in episode one and he had killed both
- 28:39Speaker 2: Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon?
- 28:43Speaker 4: Anakin would not have trained to become a Jedi because
- 28:47Speaker 4: Obi-Wan does it out of duty to Qui-Gon for the
- 28:50Speaker 4: same reasons. So you could very honestly see because Anakin's
- 28:57Speaker 4: not going to go back to Tatooine. So he's probably
- 29:00Speaker 4: going to end up on Coruscant or stay on Naboo,
- 29:04Speaker 4: which means Palpatine has a full hand capability to train
- 29:09Speaker 4: him from nine years old.
- 29:11Speaker 3: From the start.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Instead of as a Jedi Knight. So I think that
- 29:19Speaker 4: changes it that way. I do think Maul still ends
- 29:22Speaker 4: up being killed just because Tyrannus was coming into the mix,
- 29:28Speaker 4: as we know. He was being groomed by Sidious, like, oh,
- 29:33Speaker 4: you should have been able to stay a Jedi and
- 29:35Speaker 4: keep your power on Serato or whatever his homeland. is
- 29:43Speaker 4: so I don't think Maul lasts still.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Is there a possibility that the is there a possibility
- 29:57Speaker 3: that Yoda feels obligated To then do something with Anakin.
- 30:03Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 30:04Speaker 4: No? As we.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Don't get me wrong. We love Yoda.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Some of us love Yoda. I still.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I literally have one of mine that, of course, my
- 30:20Speaker 2: famous line.
- 30:21Speaker 4: What if Yoda was honest?
- 30:26Speaker 3: Yeah, actually.
- 30:27Speaker 6: Um.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Um, actually, no, it's, it's not, if he was honest, it's,
- 30:32Speaker 3: it's worded differently. Uh, but of course my number one
- 30:36Speaker 3: catchphrase on this podcast is, you know, Yoda is the
- 30:39Speaker 3: real villain of star Wars. Um, I, I think there
- 30:44Speaker 3: could be a possibility of an obligation. Um, but I
- 30:49Speaker 3: do think if there was ever questioning of the obligation,
- 30:52Speaker 3: then Mace Windu would have been like, nah, dude, just
- 30:55Speaker 3: let it be, just let him go. You know? Um,
- 30:59Speaker 3: And then we have... Oh, go ahead.
- 31:01Speaker 4: I agree, because I think Mace had a big impact
- 31:07Speaker 4: in the decisions that the Jedi Council was making at
- 31:09Speaker 4: that point. So I just don't think Yoda picks him up.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Very true. John M. did sneak one in here. He said,
- 31:20Speaker 3: what if the Millennium Falcon had gotten to Cloud.
- 31:23Speaker 2: City before Vader? So the whole point of that entire scene...
- 31:30Speaker 2: is that Lando does tell Han, hey, I'm sorry, he got.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Here just a few seconds before you did. Blah, blah.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Do you think... I don't know.
- 31:46Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 31:47Speaker 3: If Lando....
- 31:49Speaker 2: Again, Lando does redeem himself. But I still think he's
- 31:54Speaker 2: scummy enough and a little... you know hurt.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Still about the whole sabacc millennium falcon thing to tell
- 32:03Speaker 3: han hey get the hell out of here you know
- 32:06Speaker 3: type of ordeal.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Yeah i'm kind of in the same boat um i
- 32:12Speaker 4: do think like maybe the han and leia and the
- 32:19Speaker 4: chewy and the droids would have like said like oh
- 32:23Speaker 4: like a star destroyer is here like we need to
- 32:26Speaker 4: get out of here yeah and maybe the hyperdrive would
- 32:29Speaker 4: have been fixed in time but then you don't get
- 32:32Speaker 4: the iconic I love you I know scene you don't
- 32:35Speaker 4: get that scene I still feel like.
- 32:37Speaker 3: You don't get Luke's hand getting taken off.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Yeah I still think that with what if you're trying
- 32:45Speaker 4: to like kind of follow the origins like somewhat I
- 32:51Speaker 4: don't know anyways it's been a really long day I'm sorry.
- 32:56Speaker 2: What if the concept of what if can be very
- 33:01Speaker 2: wild and very out there. And there's a lot of
- 33:04Speaker 2: different what ifs that still kind of are able to
- 33:08Speaker 2: course correct and still get to.
- 33:11Speaker 3: What the origin was supposed to be. So there's two
- 33:15Speaker 3: different kinds of what ifs. I kind of like the
- 33:19Speaker 3: ones that branch out to create whole new realities and
- 33:22Speaker 3: things like that. That's me.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Um, And then one from Johnny saying, what if Yoda
- 33:29Speaker 2: never went into hiding?
- 33:40Speaker 3: He would have died. He would have died.
- 33:44Speaker 2: He was the one that decided, hey, we need to.
- 33:50Speaker 4: If I don't hide, I'm dead. And we need to
- 33:53Speaker 4: save ourselves. for these two future Jedi.
- 33:58Speaker 2: He told that to Bail specifically. He said, hey, get
- 34:02Speaker 2: me out of here. I must go into hiding. And
- 34:05Speaker 2: the reason being, he was losing that fight. He was
- 34:09Speaker 2: 100% losing that fight. And the entire reason is because
- 34:16Speaker 2: of Sidious being able to overpower all of Coruscant.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Like, that's what it is. Now... that is it for
- 34:26Speaker 3: the discord. We're going to get into our own, but
- 34:29Speaker 3: this does bring me to.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Very good spot for an ad break. Clay market.
- 34:37Speaker 3: That is very, that is, that is very true. Um,
- 34:39Speaker 3: 34 minutes.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Um, we're going to jump into our own lists. One
- 34:46Speaker 2: that I was hesitant to put down because I wanted
- 34:48Speaker 2: to do more research on it, but this is what if,
- 34:52Speaker 2: so research be damned. Um, What if Yoda was the
- 35:01Speaker 2: last surviving Sith.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Of the temple under the Coruscant Temple?
- 35:12Speaker 4: Okay, so like he was trained as a Sith originally? Yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 4: And so he's been like in hiding as a Jedi?
- 35:19Speaker 3: Yeah, this entire time.
- 35:25Speaker 4: I just don't feel like we know enough about the
- 35:27Speaker 4: whole time span to really answer that.
- 35:29Speaker 3: It's the exact reason why he's such a jerk to
- 35:33Speaker 3: the rest of the Jedi saying, oh, you know those
- 35:36Speaker 3: nameless things that could really kill us all and would
- 35:40Speaker 3: really be helpful if I told everybody about it?
- 35:43Speaker 4: Nah.
- 35:45Speaker 3: We'll keep that a secret between you and me, all right?
- 35:47Speaker 3: All right.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 35:50Speaker 3: It's been 100 years. I've never even... What are these things? Oh,
- 35:53Speaker 3: my gosh. I'm telling you guys, Yoda is the real
- 35:59Speaker 3: villain of this franchise. People just don't know it yet.
- 36:05Speaker 3: That was one that I just randomly thought of while
- 36:09Speaker 3: making this list. And I'm like, that could make for
- 36:12Speaker 3: some damn good comic book reading. It won't be a novel.
- 36:17Speaker 3: It won't be a show or an animated series.
- 36:20Speaker 2: But if Marvel were to legitimately say, hey, let's try
- 36:23Speaker 2: this and do a what if series for Star Wars.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I think that would be really, really fun. It would
- 36:28Speaker 2: be a random 30 page comic showing them like, hey,
- 36:33Speaker 2: the fall of the Sith Temple came around this time.
- 36:37Speaker 2: There was one survivor to make himself hidden. He, you know,
- 36:45Speaker 2: was rescued by one of the remaining Jedi soldiers. That,
- 36:49Speaker 2: you know, was at the end of the fight of
- 36:51Speaker 2: this temple. And he was one of the deciding factors
- 36:55Speaker 2: of like, hey, we must build a Jedi temple around
- 36:58Speaker 2: this to suppress the Sith power. And I think that
- 37:02Speaker 2: is like so smart to be like, hey, because again,
- 37:07Speaker 2: you within this new branch of reality with Star Wars,
- 37:12Speaker 2: Palpatine and Sidious come in and then there's two negative
- 37:17Speaker 2: forces that bumping up against each other.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Who's going to come out on top? I think that
- 37:23Speaker 3: is even more interesting after that. I don't think.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Palpatine exists if Yoda is the Sith.
- 37:31Speaker 3: You don't think so? This is also coming from somebody
- 37:36Speaker 3: who has not read the Sidious novel. We haven't gotten
- 37:40Speaker 3: to that one yet.
- 37:42Speaker 4: There is no Sidious novel. It's just Darth Plagueis.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Plagueis. Sorry, not Sidious. Plagueis. is the novel that I
- 37:49Speaker 3: haven't read yet. And I don't think there's any other
- 37:56Speaker 3: Sith-related novel.
- 37:59Speaker 4: That's correct. We've read Lords of the Sith, which is
- 38:02Speaker 4: really probably the only other one.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 4: Because you're looking at it, right, and Yoda is approximately
- 38:12Speaker 4: 900 years old at the end of Return of the Jedi,
- 38:15Speaker 4: when he dies. Yes. So if you go back that far,
- 38:20Speaker 4: the average moon's lifespan is roughly 200 years. So if
- 38:28Speaker 4: Yoda is the Sith Master and he was there at
- 38:31Speaker 4: the origin of the Jedi Temple there, he's probably in
- 38:38Speaker 4: the realm of like 100 years old at that point.
- 38:41Speaker 4: So you've got 800 years. You say, okay, let's take
- 38:45Speaker 4: away 100 and say 700. Players never exist at that point. Like.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Okay. Well, then, that brings.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Yoda could have chosen a completely different Dark Apprentice at
- 39:01Speaker 4: that point.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Yeah. And that brings, like, a whole new, like, does
- 39:07Speaker 3: Order 66 ever happen? Or does, like... Yoda somehow, like.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Turn the entire Jedi temple and all of its teachings
- 39:23Speaker 2: into the way of the Sith, you know? Does it
- 39:25Speaker 2: become a path of the open hand into the path
- 39:28Speaker 2: of the close fifth kind of operation?
- 39:30Speaker 3: You know? Yeah. So that would be interesting. So, Kate,
- 39:35Speaker 3: give me one of yours.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Okay, so we've already heard three of mine, technically.
- 39:45Speaker 3: And same with me, same with me.
- 39:48Speaker 4: So these three are from my sister. So we'll go
- 39:53Speaker 4: one at a time. But these next three are from
- 39:55Speaker 4: my sister. She said, dude, what if the Jedi... And
- 39:58Speaker 4: I'm reading word for word here. Okay.
- 40:00Speaker 3: This is from your screenshot.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Yeah. This is from my screenshot. Dude, what if the
- 40:05Speaker 4: Jedi Council wasn't trying to be so secretive and just
- 40:07Speaker 4: trusted Anakin to be a master and that he never
- 40:09Speaker 4: would have turned into Darth Vader?
- 40:11Speaker 6: I think.
- 40:12Speaker 4: We all have visited that and gone, he just gave
- 40:16Speaker 4: him the master.
- 40:17Speaker 2: This is literally the origin of the Star Wars what if.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Everybody wants this to be the number one episode. I
- 40:27Speaker 2: think this is a no-brainer when it comes to what if.
- 40:31Speaker 2: It's simply, hey, Anakin goes to Mace Windu, says, hey,
- 40:39Speaker 2: Palpatine is Sidious. Mace says, alright, let's go. And Mace
- 40:46Speaker 2: and Anakin take down Palpatine.
- 40:49Speaker 4: The problem is because that's really what Anakin was trying
- 40:55Speaker 4: to do when he goes to tell Mace. The problem
- 40:59Speaker 4: is that Anakin has had this treat dangled over him
- 41:05Speaker 4: that says, I can save Padme. I can save your
- 41:08Speaker 4: unborn children. I am the only one. So therein lies
- 41:13Speaker 4: the question is, okay, if Anakin has made a master
- 41:17Speaker 4: at that point, does he trust what Palpatine is saying
- 41:20Speaker 4: to him versus now he's got like this, oh, you
- 41:24Speaker 4: should be a master, but you're really a Jedi Knight.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I don't believe he does.
- 41:29Speaker 2: And the reason why is one being a master means
- 41:33Speaker 2: that he has now upgraded his library card and he
- 41:36Speaker 2: can now get into more stuff that he hasn't been
- 41:40Speaker 2: able to before. And with that new relationship with the council,
- 41:46Speaker 2: he can open up a little bit more and saying like, Hey,
- 41:51Speaker 2: because I think that if he becomes master, he tells
- 41:57Speaker 2: everybody about Padme. Out of obligation, not necessarily, not necessarily like.
- 42:06Speaker 3: A, like, Hey, me and Padme, you know. Not like that.
- 42:15Speaker 2: It's like, hey, you granted me this. I now should
- 42:19Speaker 2: be trustful and truthful to you. This is the relationships
- 42:24Speaker 2: that I've been having and this is what's going on.
- 42:28Speaker 2: And I don't believe the council would then be like, oh,
- 42:35Speaker 2: revoking mastery and your new library card.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Peace out. You know, I don't think that ever happens.
- 42:41Speaker 2: But I do believe that there might be a little
- 42:47Speaker 2: bit of an uncomfortable conversation with Anakin being like, hey,
- 42:53Speaker 2: if you believe what we do and what the Force is,
- 42:58Speaker 2: we must just let things happen the way they happen.
- 43:03Speaker 2: And you must trust in the Force. And then in
- 43:05Speaker 2: that case, again, just how we talked about.
- 43:10Speaker 3: If you.
- 43:11Speaker 2: If you guys haven't, I highly recommend Freddie Prinze Jr.
- 43:16Speaker 2: interview where he kind of goes off the hinges and
- 43:20Speaker 2: talks about Star Wars as a whole. But he eventually
- 43:24Speaker 2: says in that interview, I know how every Star Wars
- 43:28Speaker 2: movie is going to go because the blueprint is balance.
- 43:33Speaker 2: If this happens, then this must happen. If this happens,
- 43:36Speaker 2: then this must happen. If we keep the same formula
- 43:39Speaker 2: within the What If series.
- 43:41Speaker 2: If Anakin becomes master, then something negative must happen. Whether
- 43:46Speaker 2: that be, hey, Padme still dies, but he gets to
- 43:49Speaker 2: take care of his children.
- 43:51Speaker 3: There's that, right?
- 43:53Speaker 2: Or, like, hey, Palpatine survives, and he is going to
- 44:00Speaker 2: be the lingering Sith from afar now, but Anakin is
- 44:06Speaker 2: still able to have his children. Or maybe his children die,
- 44:10Speaker 2: but Padme still lives.
- 44:13Speaker 3: There's a whole.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Accumulation of things that then happen. But I do believe
- 44:20Speaker 2: that at some point the council will learn about Padme
- 44:25Speaker 2: and the children.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:28Speaker 3: That's just the way I see it.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Alright, so the next one is, what if they would
- 44:38Speaker 4: have trusted Ahsoka and not chased her out of the Order?
- 44:41Speaker 4: Would she have been able to help Anakin from turning
- 44:43Speaker 4: to the Dark Side?
- 44:47Speaker 3: This is interesting.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Because there is a possibility.
- 44:54Speaker 3: That it does nothing to help Anakin whatsoever. Correct. And
- 45:02Speaker 3: the reason being is.
- 45:05Speaker 2: We know that Anakin's love for Padme at this point
- 45:08Speaker 2: in time, Jedi temple be damned. Council be damned. Like
- 45:15Speaker 2: pretty much Anakin said, F everybody. I'm going to save
- 45:19Speaker 2: Padme and my kids. So it may not do anything,
- 45:24Speaker 2: but it does create a new dynamic around Ahsoka. And
- 45:29Speaker 2: the idea of like what she always felt was true
- 45:33Speaker 2: is true. Like, Hey, the Jedi are out here doing
- 45:38Speaker 2: what they do best because the whole point of her leaving,
- 45:42Speaker 2: she does have this like sourness.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Around the Jedi and the teachings and all of that.
- 45:48Speaker 3: So she never gets that sourness from. Yeah, exactly.
- 45:53Speaker 4: And that also like, it also boils down to, okay,
- 45:57Speaker 4: does she end up dying then because of order 66 or, Because, yes,
- 46:03Speaker 4: she is a victim of Order 66, according to the
- 46:06Speaker 4: Clone Wars. But would it have been worse? Because she
- 46:10Speaker 4: would have been actively commanding probably a battle in the
- 46:14Speaker 4: middle of goodness knows what planet.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:18Speaker 4: And not been with wrecks and clones that she knew
- 46:24Speaker 4: that could help her at the end of the day. Yeah. Yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 3: For sure. So....
- 46:31Speaker 4: This final one is probably my favorite. And this is
- 46:36Speaker 4: in all caps. I'm not going to yell, but I
- 46:40Speaker 4: just want you to know.
- 46:41Speaker 3: I love this one, by the way, because it's I
- 46:43Speaker 3: do feel like this is another. I do feel like
- 46:45Speaker 3: this is another one of those like, hey, everybody's kind
- 46:47Speaker 3: of thought about this, but it's still like it's a
- 46:50Speaker 3: fan favorite. Go ahead.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Yeah. What if they would have listened to fives that
- 46:54Speaker 4: something was in the clones heads and And then they
- 46:57Speaker 4: could have gotten all the inhibitor chips out so none
- 47:00Speaker 4: of the clones would have turned on Order 66.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Tears. Tears. Heartbreak.
- 47:09Speaker 2: This, I think, is such a genuine fun what if.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Because it literally turns everything that Palpatine was working for
- 47:23Speaker 2: on its head. I would genuinely love this now I
- 47:34Speaker 2: think this does have some ramifications for Kamino it has ramifications.
- 47:41Speaker 3: For the Bad Batch.
- 47:44Speaker 2: I think like it does mean that Order 66 never
- 47:51Speaker 2: happens but what does that mean for Palpatine Does this mean, oh,
- 48:01Speaker 2: plan A is no longer active now to plan B?
- 48:07Speaker 3: What is plan B? What does he turn towards to
- 48:11Speaker 3: still get the same result?
- 48:13Speaker 4: Because you know this man had plan B's and plan
- 48:16Speaker 4: C's and plan D's.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Yeah. 100%. I think that's so fun.
- 48:22Speaker 4: All right. Give me some more of yours.
- 48:24Speaker 3: All right.
- 48:25Speaker 2: I have a string of High Republic ones, and I'm
- 48:29Speaker 2: just going to hit you right in the chest with
- 48:31Speaker 2: the first one.
- 48:32Speaker 3: This one's going to hurt. This one's going to hurt.
- 48:34Speaker 4: It's going to be Ezra, not Ezra.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Elzar is what you're trying to think of.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Elzar. Again, guys, long day.
- 48:46Speaker 3: So, Katie, what if Avar Kris had a child?
- 48:56Speaker 4: Are we talking in the middle of the higher public
- 48:59Speaker 4: or on Planet X?
- 49:03Speaker 2: If you look at the timeline, because we're all adults here,
- 49:06Speaker 2: they go to Funkytown right before they go into Planet X.
- 49:14Speaker 3: So she would have to have the child on Planet X.
- 49:16Speaker 4: Correct. Correct.
- 49:20Speaker 3: As a mother, do you really think that you would
- 49:23Speaker 3: just let a child be just barren on a planet
- 49:28Speaker 3: that is destined to just be hidden from the rest
- 49:31Speaker 3: of the galaxy?
- 49:35Speaker 4: That's the tough part, right? Is because you know That
- 49:39Speaker 4: you cannot go up top. And he cannot come down.
- 49:45Speaker 3: But.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Your child. Could theoretically go back and forth.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Child could go back and forth.
- 49:51Speaker 4: Or. And the planet is plentiful.
- 49:55Speaker 3: I think. There's a possibility that Avar. Raises the child.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Enough.
- 50:03Speaker 3: To. Or even at the help of the. Shri Karai.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Have the child go back and forth so that way
- 50:11Speaker 2: Elzar does have time with his child, but eventually they
- 50:14Speaker 2: both decide, hey, this is no life for this child.
- 50:18Speaker 3: He needs to go live his own life.
- 50:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 3: There's no ship.
- 50:23Speaker 4: All the ships have crashed or been taken off with.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Yeah, but....
- 50:31Speaker 4: Because you also run into the problem where they literally
- 50:34Speaker 4: said if anybody ever finds this planet again... The whole
- 50:39Speaker 4: galaxy could be decimated. So you realistically. Can't let the
- 50:44Speaker 4: child go forth. Into the unknown. Because.
- 50:48Speaker 3: True. True.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:54Speaker 3: I was just having fun with it. I was just
- 50:56Speaker 3: like hey. What if they did have a child. And
- 51:00Speaker 3: he went out to be like. This hero of the galaxy.
- 51:03Speaker 3: Just like his mother. You know the hero of Hetzal.
- 51:07Speaker 3: And all this other stuff. I just thought that would
- 51:10Speaker 3: be really cool.
- 51:12Speaker 4: No, you can't do that. He gets to live happily
- 51:15Speaker 4: ever after on Planet X and die of old age
- 51:19Speaker 4: with Shrieker.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Alright, so here's Palpatine's plan B. What if Palpatine discovered
- 51:26Speaker 3: the planet Sophros, aka Planet X?
- 51:33Speaker 4: I think he knows enough, especially being chancellor that he
- 51:41Speaker 4: knows that even this is too great a risk for
- 51:44Speaker 4: him because they eat they eat dark cider users too
- 51:51Speaker 4: so i don't think he messes with it i think
- 51:58Speaker 4: that there has to be some presidential library like a
- 52:02Speaker 4: national treasure where presidents pass down knowledge and And the
- 52:08Speaker 4: Chasers have to have the same thing.
- 52:10Speaker 3: And that's the thing.
- 52:11Speaker 1: The.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Well, I guess it never even touched up on that. Literally,
- 52:17Speaker 3: the only conversation was between Yoda and... Oh, shoot. Who
- 52:23Speaker 3: was it?
- 52:24Speaker 2: I can't remember the Jedi that he had talked to
- 52:27Speaker 2: at the very end of Phase 2.
- 52:31Speaker 3: That said, hey, we'll never speak of this. But there's Yeah,
- 52:36Speaker 3: it's the.
- 52:36Speaker 4: Human Jedi from Battle of Jedha.
- 52:39Speaker 3: I think. Yeah, but Chancellor So is right there. Like,
- 52:44Speaker 3: she knows everything. Oh, no, no, Chancellor So is.
- 52:50Speaker 4: From Phase 1 and 3.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Yeah, so it would have been Axel's mother that was
- 53:00Speaker 2: Chancellor at that point.
- 53:01Speaker 3: And she kind of knows everything. some things, you.
- 53:08Speaker 4: Know, she could have easily passed stuff down. So could
- 53:11Speaker 4: have passed stuff down. I mean, we know that like
- 53:14Speaker 4: the hospital, for instance, in Andor is named the Lena.
- 53:17Speaker 4: So hospital.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:19Speaker 4: So she was widely respected. If she left a diary
- 53:22Speaker 4: or any sort of something to pass down to future chancellors,
- 53:27Speaker 4: that could very easily have the knowledge about the nameless
- 53:31Speaker 4: in it. If he discovers the planet, she still may
- 53:36Speaker 4: not have had any knowledge about that, but she would
- 53:41Speaker 4: have written stuff down about the nameless. And if Palpatine
- 53:44Speaker 4: sends a crew down there and they go, well, these
- 53:46Speaker 4: guys ate this guy and ate this guy. Palpatine could
- 53:51Speaker 4: be like, okay, bye-bye.
- 53:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:55Speaker 3: Very true. Very true. Next one that I got. What
- 54:01Speaker 3: if Yoda discovered Palpatine's secret?
- 54:17Speaker 4: I still think we boiled down to really the same results.
- 54:20Speaker 4: Yoda might have been able to plan a little bit better,
- 54:23Speaker 4: but Palpatine had his spies in the Jedi Council. Or,
- 54:28Speaker 4: not in the Council, in the Temple. So, Palpatine could
- 54:33Speaker 4: have very easily found out about what was going on still.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:40Speaker 2: I do think that there is, like, quite possibly, like,
- 54:46Speaker 2: a stronger team, like maybe even a confrontation of the
- 54:51Speaker 2: entire council going to confront Palpatine.
- 54:56Speaker 3: If Yoda was the one that found out about.
- 54:59Speaker 2: His secret, or there's a huge possibility that Yoda confronts
- 55:10Speaker 2: him right then and there. I think that's less likely.
- 55:17Speaker 3: That Yoda just immediately pulls out his lightsabers like, hey,
- 55:20Speaker 3: let's do this.
- 55:21Speaker 2: You are Sidious. We're going to take you down now.
- 55:25Speaker 2: But I just think that's a very interesting aspect.
- 55:29Speaker 3: Whether that be.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Because you could even chop it up to did Yoda
- 55:36Speaker 2: accidentally fall upon the secret when Palpatine had revealed himself
- 55:44Speaker 2: to Anakin? Because then he has to now question Anakin's
- 55:48Speaker 2: loyalty alongside that, you know? So it's a very interesting
- 55:55Speaker 2: question to bring about. Next one is High Republic again.
- 56:03Speaker 3: What if Marta Rowe ran away from the path of
- 56:08Speaker 3: the open hand? Very beginning of phase two. The Path
- 56:16Speaker 3: of Deceit. There was a conversation.
- 56:21Speaker 4: Like, what if she would have been able to leave with... Yana, basically,
- 56:25Speaker 4: at that point? I think you have a very different story. Like,
- 56:31Speaker 4: Phase 1 and Phase 3 never even happened.
- 56:34Speaker 3: Well, I don't think necessarily, because you still have the mother.
- 56:38Speaker 3: The mother is still very, very prominent... in her like
- 56:44Speaker 3: hate towards the jedi and.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Everything else right but the mother dies at the end
- 56:49Speaker 4: of path of vengeance due to a nameless attack from
- 56:53Speaker 4: marta so if you stick along that same lines and
- 56:58Speaker 4: go okay the path of the open hand the path
- 57:00Speaker 4: of the closed fit because the path of the closed
- 57:02Speaker 4: fist would have never existed it would have just stayed.
- 57:05Speaker 2: It would have been a yeah yeah for sure um.
- 57:11Speaker 4: And then the Nihil don't exist because the Nihil were
- 57:16Speaker 4: a rogue creation. And so if they leave the path
- 57:19Speaker 4: of the open hand, they're never radicalized to that point
- 57:23Speaker 4: of developing a pirate organization.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that is also true. Yeah.
- 57:30Speaker 2: So the High Republic phase is completely.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Different at that point from start to finish.
- 57:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:38Speaker 2: This one was interesting, more so because I found a
- 57:41Speaker 2: video even after I even wrote this question down.
- 57:46Speaker 3: With the validity of... Well, not validity. That's the wrong terminology.
- 57:54Speaker 2: Somebody I saw on TikTok was answering somebody else's question
- 57:58Speaker 2: about the prophecy of Anakin Skywalker. The whole, like, oh,
- 58:03Speaker 2: a child will come fatherless and made of the Force, blah, blah, blah.
- 58:07Speaker 2: And they were explaining like, oh, this just means that
- 58:10Speaker 2: there is a wide group of individuals within the Star
- 58:15Speaker 2: Wars universe that are born of the force. Anakin just
- 58:19Speaker 2: so happens to be one of those individuals that happens
- 58:23Speaker 2: to be the chosen one as well, which was an interesting.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Take on the prophecy. But I have in my what
- 58:30Speaker 3: if here is what if Anakin was a twin? Think
- 58:41Speaker 3: of it like.
- 58:43Speaker 4: I'm going to throw out a reference here. I'm going
- 58:45Speaker 4: to throw out a reference here. I feel like we
- 58:48Speaker 4: would end up in a situation where Avatar Seven Havens
- 58:53Speaker 4: is going.
- 58:54Speaker 3: To end up. I also reference High Republic Phase 2.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Think of the mother.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Her story of how her sister became a Jedi and
- 59:09Speaker 2: she wasn't. yep think about how that's going to be
- 59:13Speaker 2: with this i think that there's a huge possibility that
- 59:17Speaker 2: this twin doesn't get to have the same deal that
- 59:25Speaker 2: anakin gets when qui-gon comes to save them both I
- 59:30Speaker 2: think there's a conversation with Sebulba that's like, hey, you
- 59:34Speaker 2: asked for all three. That's a little greedy. You take
- 59:37Speaker 2: one of the children. The mother stays here, too. And Qui-Gon,
- 59:43Speaker 2: of course, being the man that he is, is going
- 59:45Speaker 2: to fight for Anakin because he feels such a feeling
- 59:50Speaker 2: with the Force with Anakin. So imagine what that does
- 59:56Speaker 2: to the psyche of this child that then has to
- 59:58Speaker 2: stay a slave.
- 59:59Speaker 3: But this also changes the dynamic of what happens to Shmi.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: Does she still die?
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Or is this twin, metaphorical twin or whatever, able to
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: be the one to.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Do the labor and everything else? Are they what's in
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: the spot of Shmi in Attack of the Clones?
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: That changes too. So I thought this was a really
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: fun thing to think of as well.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: Just with the whole conversation of dyads and everything else,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: I think it would be really, really fun. And I'm
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: super excited. I don't have Paramount.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: I think it's just one extra thing that I have
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: to pay for and so I'm not paying for it.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: But I am really, really excited for the next Avatar series.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: I have it.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: Through Walmart Plus because one of the things that I
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: budget for is grocery delivery because I hate grocery shopping.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Me and you both. Anyways.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: So I have two more from my siblings.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Okay. And I have one more on my entire list.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: So you go ahead and do yours.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: Okay. So this is another one from Ansley. She said,
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: what if there was no R2-D2? That droid is the GOAT.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: R2-D2 is literally the character that melds all three franchises,
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: or all three trilogies together. Without R2-D2, I don't think
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Star Wars happens.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: The ship doesn't survive in the Phantom Menace.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: Anakin is unable to successfully destroy... I forgot the classic ship.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: The slave ship.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: The droid slave ship, to be specific.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Which is also helping with the barricade, so that never happens.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: Then you have... He never delivers the message to... with
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Leia's message to Obi-Wan.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Um....
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: What's some of the other stuff that he does in
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: the other two movies?
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: He doesn't get tossed in the swamp on Takeba, so
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: Luke doesn't feel the fight to do things.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Return of the Jedi.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: He is never able to help Luke with his lightsaber
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: at the very beginning of that movie.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Never able to help him with his lightsaber, so he
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: dies in the Sarlacc bit.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: He doesn't have the map piece that leads Ray to
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Luke Skywalker. And that's, I think about the end of it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, like genuinely, like it ends at the, well,
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: I mean, it technically ends at episode one, but if
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: you were to somehow finally get to everywhere that he's
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: supposed to be, if he survives.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: All the way until the, empire strikes back but he's
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: not there for return of the jedi game over like
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: luke's dead like sorry guys like that's it.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: And then the last one was from my my brother
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: suggested grito and then one other one that i can't
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: share on here um and so madeline who's my other
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: sister said what if darth vader found one of his
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: kids and reese he didn't know it was twins right.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: He did not. Um, he did not know at all.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Um, cause of course the fear of the Obi-Wan, uh,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: series was that people were going to like, he was
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: finally going to find out about at least one of
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: them and he never did. Um, because that's, that's the
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: whole point is that at the, uh, end of empire.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Empire strikes back. Um, Is like oh. A sister.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Or no no no. In Return of the Jedi. That's
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: Return of the Jedi. Oh a sister. You know that's
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: the famous line. So that. I think.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: I think people have kind of thought about this. And
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: the idea of like. He was so angry. With Princess Leia.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: that like he never even kind of thought about putting
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: her under like the wing of the empire she was
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: always going to be a political prisoner but yep anakin
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: was always the one that was like hey you and
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: me we could take down this empire and we'll rule
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: the galaxy so i think that's what ends up happening.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Yeah I think that makes sense. Okay, go ahead and
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: share your last one. And then I have a couple
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: from Matt.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: All right. So are you familiar at all with the
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: Predator franchise?
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: No. Jump scares.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: So the Predator... has an actual alien species name called
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: the Yautja. They are called the Yautja and they look...
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: The Yautja? Yes. They look like this. This is the Yautja.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: And my what if... My final what if is what
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: if the Yautja were canon to the Star Wars universe?
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: So.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: They are normally depicted like this. All the heavy armor,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: all the heavy gadgets, all of this alien technology. And
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: of course, in the lore, because there is also alien
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: versus predator, they are, of course, predators.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: So my thought process is that this species within the
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Star Wars universe would be a.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Bounty hunters. They would, they would, they would a lot
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: of the.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: Occupations that they would like the trend oceans. Yeah.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: They would be like trend oceans. Exactly.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: But it also, cause take a look at this. Cause
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I just wanted to see how many people actually fan, uh, did,
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: did some fan drawings.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: And there's a lot of AI stuff, unfortunately, but then
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: there's actual art. Yeah. Um, And some really dope things
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: of seeing a Force-sensitive Yautja be an apprentice to Sidious
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: would be absolutely amazing. But also, like, getting... I don't
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: want to share an AI one.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Getting the possibility of a Yautja with actual Force-sensitivity work
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: for the light. and be a Jedi, I think would really,
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: really be fun because it's such a scary looking alien.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: I think that it would be very interesting for like
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: other species to just be like, cause, cause again, we've.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Seen scary entities.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Be the good guys and they'd be like, Hey, I
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: know I'm like intimidating and look scary, but I promise
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: I'm as harmful as a butterfly.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: And I think the Yautja would be the same way.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: It's like, hey, yeah, I look kind of ugly.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: I have these giant talons for a mouth, but I
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: work for the Jedi. And I just think that would
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: be really, really cool.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: And just because of the aesthetic of the Predator and
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: of the Yautja, I think that them wielding lightsabers would
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: be super badass. But that's just me.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: Gotcha.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: So that is my final what if, because that is
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: one that I think would be super easy for.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Uh, yeah.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Marvel and star Wars to kind of work out because
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: there has been Marvel versus, uh, predator, uh, Wolverine versus predator.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: There's Spider-Man versus predator.
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: Like all these different things.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: I think it would be very easy for Marvel comics
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: to just be like, Oh, star Wars versus predator. and
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: them you know do something like that so i was
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: like hey you know they are an alien species we
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: always argue that there should be more aliens in star
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: wars so hey a recognizable face like the yautja i
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: think would be really cool.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: Yeah for sure all right so the only two for
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: matt that we have not talked about so far is
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: what if han and luke never met Han was not
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: physically at Tatooine that day or something.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Yeah, what if they weren't in the cantina? That is
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: an interesting one because then you just have to find
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: a way off of Tatooine. There is such a heavily
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: empire presence at the beginning of A New Hope on
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Tatooine that you're like, hey, how do you get off
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: this planet? And then there just becomes like a fun, like, Hey,
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: let's jump on a ship.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: And go with it. You know, type of thing.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Something that eventually happens, whether that be, they, they, they
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: do hitch a ride to like the next city or whatever.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: I think something like that ends up happening. But again,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: in the, you know, honorary, what if scenarios where, the
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: universe course corrects eventually. So I think that you eventually
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: do get to a point where, uh, you know, they
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: might meet Han, uh, somewhere, somewhere where he's gambling or whatever,
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: like being in his element rather than just being at
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: a random place because of Java, you know?
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: So then the last one, um, And he sent a, well,
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: hello there, gif, and said, what if Hondo was able
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: to keep Dooku imprisoned?
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: What if Hondo was able to keep Dooku imprisoned?
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: This is reference to.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: One of the Clone Wars episodes.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: One of the Clone Wars episodes. Matt, what a pool.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: What a pool. My God.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Hondo is like his favorite character.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: I love it. I love it. There's not enough love
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: for Hondo. So Matt, good on you.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: No.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: And actually there was one, one of my what ifs
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: that we didn't hit, but I think it's okay.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: I'll just say it real quick after this. If Hondo
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: was actually able to, to keep Dooku imprisoned, then that
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: would just leave an amazing.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Arc of a trial for Dooku. I think that is
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: really fun. You get to have the Senate involved. You
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: get Padme involved. You get Palpatine involved, like right there.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: And like, so then Dooku has to like weigh his
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: options of like, should I rat him out now? Or
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: am I too fearful of Sidious to really say anything
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: and so I'll keep my mouth shut?
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: I think that is really fun, actually. I think that
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: is really fun. And that is just me because we've
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: had a whole bunch of hardcore politics in Star Wars
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: lately and we've loved to talk about it. But yeah,
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: I just think that creates a whole new arc within
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: the Clone Wars animated story.
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: Speaking of which, if you have not listened to it yet,
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: our Reign of the Empire book two review is out.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: It's been out since the beginning of the month, but
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: you can go find that. The book has been out
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: now for a week. So if you have gotten it
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: read and you're like, I want to go back and
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: listen to a review now, it's theirs. It's yours for
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: the taking.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: What's your last one?
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: All right. My last one.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: This is really fun because it is animated series related.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: What if Ezra brought back Vernestra from the World Between Worlds.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: Instead of Ahsoka?
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: Like, if it was just a random pull?
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Like, of course we don't know the ending of the
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Acolyte series, so it could have very well been, like,
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: preventing her death from Chimera, or.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: Taking her from... The High Republic era, like in the
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: midst of the High Republic Nihil era. And bring her into.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: The Rebels timeline.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: So this would be a little wonky because. For one,
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: What kind of ramifications that does now to the end
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: of the nameless and of Mark Yon-Ro and the Nihil.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Because technically Vernestra was on B team. She wasn't on
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: A team. She was on B team.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: But depending on where Ezra accidentally pulls her from, she
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: was kind of an important piece of that entire story. Um,
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: especially when it came to wayfinding and all of that
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: other stuff with her visions in, uh, in hyperspace. So
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: like you, I guess you can then say that like
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: her hyperspace visions may actually help the rebellion in helping
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: with Darth Vader.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: And yeah, Heck, we even know that, like, although he's
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: in hiding, Yoda is still alive.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: At this time. And Ezra meets him at one point. So, like, does... Like,
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: what does Vernestra think about Order 66? Like, what does she...
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: And it's not like they take Ahsoka back to that
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: point in time. She's out forever. So Vernestra just now
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: has to live on through this timeline of... post Empire
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: post return of the Jedi or post, uh, revenge of
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: the Sith.
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Order 66. Yeah.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: Post order 66. And like what, what becomes of her then,
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: you know, like her species can only live for so long.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Um, and it's, it's, it then becomes like a weird
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: thing because you could, technically still categorize Ahsoka as like
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: master level.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: But she never became a master because she was no
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: longer a Jedi. Vernestra was on her way up to that.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: So like she doesn't technically complete her training, all that stuff.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: And that might even mean we might see a world
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: where Kanan lives with Vernestra's help.
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: No, no, no. That's after. That's after. It's after his death,
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: so no. Right? The World Between Worlds episode is after
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Kanan's death. I believe.
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: I don't think so. Okay.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: Season four. Yeah, you're right.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: It's after. Yeah. That's right, because he's in there and
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: Ahsoka has to... Has to pull him away from saving Kanan. Yeah. Yep.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: So, wait, but that... Saying that means that when he
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: accidentally pulls Vernestra, Vernestra doesn't know why they shouldn't, you know...
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: save Kanan but I do believe Venestra is smart enough
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: and one of those like of course goody goods in
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: the temple to be like hey let's not disturb the
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: way the force has gone with this timeline let's not
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: do that you've already done enough with taking me out
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: let's do what we can blah blah blah um yeah
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: so she still might prevent Ezra from from saving Kanan
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: but who knows But I just thought that one was
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: a very interesting thing.
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: You know, I tried to think of... I tried, because
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: like another one that I was going to say, but
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: I was just like, I feel like people might have
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: already thought about this. Swapping uh elzar man and um um.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: Stefan yes uh uh as far as like who who's
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: the one who dies in the high republic um but
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: i wanted to keep it uh female centric with bernestra
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: and avar chris for my.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: High republic stuff but yeah i think that was fun Yeah.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: There's a lot of stories out there.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: I really do hope that eventually Marvel and Star Wars
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: will do this legitimately, whether that be in a comic
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: book series or if it will be in animated form.
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: Who knows? But I think it's a concept that is
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: wanted enough that it'll be worth it for sure.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: 100%. So, guys....
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: That is it for the episode. Thank you guys all
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: for being here. I want to thank everybody in the discord.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: I want to thank all of Katie's family members. Thank
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: you guys for, uh, giving us, uh, more what ifs
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: to talk about. Uh, but yeah, really, really fun discussion. Uh,
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: if you guys want to follow me, you can follow
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: me at fan boy clay on threads and Instagram.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: And yeah, that's pretty much it. Katie, what about you? Y'all,
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: you can.

- 1:20:14Speaker 4: of Katie. The show you can find on Instagram and threads.
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: It's at Star Wars Alliance. But the in the war
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: is very important. Don't forget it. We are at technically
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: the end of our September schedule, guys, which means there's
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: only three more months left in the year to talk
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: about Star Wars things. Every Wednesday night. Except for a
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: few breaks. That we have scheduled in November and December.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: But you know. So. For October guys. If you are
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: on our Patreon. You will be able to get. Our
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: next episode. Of our new Jedi Order coverage series. That
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: is the Force Heretic 1 Remnant. That. Our new Jedi
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Order series. Is available on the first every month. that's
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: when we drop a new episode. Clay and I have
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: been having a lot of fun with this, and I'm
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: excited to see what he thinks going into these last
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: five books.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: Starting remnant tomorrow.
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: Yay! Well, guys, so next week we will be talking
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: about Tales from the Nightlands, the trade review that is,
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: I believe it's the Dark Horse comic Halloween theme from
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: last year by Kevin Scott. They did not drop one
- 1:21:39Speaker 4: this year. So we will have to kind of take
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: a look at that. Master of Evil, our second review
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: of that, will be on October 8th. And on October 15th,
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: we originally had scheduled Smugglers and Scoundrels the Race for
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: Jobs Bounty Review, which is the first paper cuts trade
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: comic to come out. But I just got a notification
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: that that has been delayed until the middle of November.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: So I will have to get back to the drawing
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: board for that guy.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: Oh no!
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: Yeah. On the 22nd, we are going to be talking
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: BBY or ABY, Where's the Focus? To go before the
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: Skywalker saga or after the Skywalker saga. And then to
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: finish us off for Halloween, we are going to be talking...
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: and reviewing Star Wars Dark Legends, which is a myths
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: and fables book by George Mann. And it's just got
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: some fun things in there. We talked about one of
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: the questions, I think it was last week, with the
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: Dragon Con quiz, where actually one of those questions came
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: from Dark Legends. So super excited for October, guys. But
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: this is where you guys can find us every Wednesday night,
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. And so with that, I
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: want to wish everyone a great day or night, whatever
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: time of day you are listening or watching. We will
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: see you all next time. May the force be with you.
