- 0:24Dayna Roselli: Plus, a new Taco Tuesday special right here on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 0:28Dayna Roselli: This and much more to discuss coming up now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:35Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 316.
- 0:39Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 0:42Sean McAllister: And it's not every day we get to talk about Claw World.
- 0:46Sean McAllister: Right.
- 0:47Sean McAllister: And we're going to in just a minute.
- 0:49Sean McAllister: But first we're going to dive into some pool chat.
- 0:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, we saw a tweet online from Jacob Orth, who is, I guess, popular blogger and social media poster.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: Influencer, poster, blogger.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: He was filling everyone in on the Las Vegas hotels with free pool access for locals seven days a week.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: And he had mentioned it was Sahara, Rio, Palms, Top Golf.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: But anyway, someone wrote not the flamingo and then he asked the flamingo and the flamingo chimed in and said, Oh, yes, actually we we do welcome everyone to the flamingo, whether you're staying there or not.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: And I thought it was interesting the comments after um of people saying, Oh, really?
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: Because I'm staying there and I'm paying resort fees and you're just gonna let anyone in there.
- 1:37Dayna Roselli: And so I thought I I thought, you know, I thought for a minute, like people would be happy to hear that, but then I was like, okay, that makes a lot of sense.
- 1:44Dayna Roselli: Cause it's sometimes it's hard to get a pool chair at some of these places.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: It is.
- 1:48Sean McAllister: And I saw another comment under that um where the person said, Okay, the pool is free, but I still have to pay to park there.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: Oh gosh.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: People are just complainers.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: I know.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: So Flamingo did respond and say, All of our Caesars Entertainment pools are free entry, whether you're staying with us or not.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: We look forward to welcoming you.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, people were excited about that.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: But yeah, others saying, Well, why, you know, I'm paying to stay there.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: Others should so I thought, you know, good case.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: It's hard.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: It's like you try and please some and no one's ever happy, but I do kind of get like if you're paying that, you know, there, maybe maybe they should have to pay a fee to get in just to kind of limit.
- 2:25Sean McAllister: You're damned if you do, damned if you don't.
- 2:28Sean McAllister: And uh yeah, I wouldn't be opposed to some sort of uh an admission.
- 2:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: You know, if you're not staying at the resort, don't make it ridiculous.
- 2:43Sean McAllister: I don't know, if there's ten, fifteen dollars, like that's affordable.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: It's not gonna really break the bank, but I think also if you're uh going to the pool and you're paying for it, I uh I like to think that maybe there would be parking validation, but validation isn't something that really happens in Vegas a ton.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: I mean it depends, you know, and there's a lot of perks though.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: If you have cards at these different resorts, there's ways around it.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: There's certain places that are cheaper.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: If you go over here in a side valet, you know, like at Caesars at the forum shops, it's a little cheaper.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: You gotta find your you gotta do your your research.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 3:22Sean McAllister: Um no, over that entry to the pools, I is yeah, it's something I don't know.
- 3:28Sean McAllister: It's a hard one.
- 3:29Sean McAllister: It is a hard one because I know when I have been a paying guest at uh at resorts, whether here in Vegas or elsewhere, like you really have to you have to get down to the pool early, stake your claim, even if you're not wanting to be down at the pool at 9, 10 a.m.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: It's true.
- 3:51Sean McAllister: Sometimes you want to just like ease into your day, have breakfast, go down to the pool a little later in the morning, early afternoon, but by that time all the all the deck chairs are gonna be gone.
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, see, and I don't enjoy that side of it at all.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: I think Yeah, I like a little more casual.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's what I prefer.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: You know, whatever.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: But I don't like a big slam, gotta save my thing, leave something there, like all that.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: But I know people do.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: They love a good scene, and that you know, it's it's hard.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: We live in Vegas, we have a scene all the time.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: So for us, it's kind of an op we kind of want the opposite when we're gonna vacation.
- 4:31Sean McAllister: Super relaxed and chilled.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: I want plenty of space now.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: I don't want to be next to Joe Schmo sipping and slurping on his pina colada.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: Literally rubbing elbows.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: No thanks.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: We don't need to share tanning oil.
- 4:45Sean McAllister: No.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: But um, anyway, but that is an interesting note.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: Hey, there are a lot of pools that you can go to for free, um, whether you like it or not.
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: It could be a bonus, though, if you hear this, you know, it might be something to spread the world.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: And especially if there are locals that don't have pools.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: It gets hot in Vegas and it's nice to have a place to retreat to for sure.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: And you're probably gonna spend some time there and you're probably gonna order some drinks and you're probably gonna get some food.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: So it pays that way.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: Hey, Claw World uh is open at Chinatown, and we didn't know much about this, but apparently they had like 1500 plus people at their grand opening.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: It's a Chinatown record.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Um people weren't expecting as much as they had there.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: They had like performances and activations and things like that, but even with their soft opening, apparently since then they like took over social media.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: And so what is claw world?
- 5:35Sean McAllister: Well, it is a world full of claw machines.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: It is, and the claw machines have some, I mean, really desirable uh prizes.
- 5:45Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: This is a little, yeah, not just a stuffed animal.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: Oh no, it's not just that plushie that you see at the at the at the county fair.
- 5:55Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: I mean, there's like some of them have laboo boos in there and those little pop the pop figurines.
- 6:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, the pop figurines.
- 6:05Sean McAllister: And so there are some great prizes.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: And some have limited edition drop.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: So you gotta be in there for a certain time.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: That's where they get on the social media and then like announce it, and it's a big deal.
- 6:16Sean McAllister: And these are these are popular.
- 6:18Sean McAllister: I was actually uh I've seen similar uh claw I don't know, uh uh claw, I don't even claw shops, claw arcades, arcades, yeah.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: I guess arcade is a good word for it.
- 6:35Sean McAllister: Um and people do love them.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: Like families will go in there and just spend hours.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: Hours.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: And it's becoming a thing.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: But this is a big deal.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: So I saw um I started following them.
- 6:47Dayna Roselli: They go live like all the time, and I mean, I guess like they announce different things, but yeah, they have like collectibles, trending toys, limited edition prizes, hard to find items.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: Um, and then it says they also have viral ice cream offerings um that a lot of uh people have been really loyal to and keep coming back for more.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to go over and check it out.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: But Claw World, if that's your thing, is officially open in Chinatown.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: Congratulations to them.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: It's something different.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: It is different, and you know what?
- 7:15Sean McAllister: It's a great addition over there at Chinatown, too, because this is exactly the kind of thing that people look for.
- 7:24Sean McAllister: And unique.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: And and Chinatown is a great place for that.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: Chinatown has great restaurants, great shops, great uh arcades now, lounges.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: So all of it.
- 7:36Sean McAllister: That is, that's great.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: Well, uh down the road at Pops, Pops is uh located, we've talked about it before, on Decatur, just uh right near Charleston here in Las Vegas.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: And it's uh Pride of Philly Steaks restaurant.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: It's an A-frame building, outdoor seating.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: We did a story on it, I don't know, what was it, about a year and a half, two years ago, talking about its popularity and all that, uh, how celebrities stop by, Pauly D.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: The DJ, uh, Nick Cage goes there for some late night eats.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: And um, it's been around for a long time and they sell Philly cheesesteaks.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's a family business.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: Um, but we stopped back over there because they've just recently reopened after refreshing the whole restaurant.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: So we stopped back over there for the big grand reopening and had a chat with the owner.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we did.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: And also um, we talked to her about how the original sign is going to the Neon Museum.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: So it's a big deal.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: I feel really thankful and honored, quite frankly, that they would take our sign and have it as a part of this truly iconic collection.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: We've been here since 2002.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: That sign means a lot to the Las Vegas Valley Asist restaurant.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: So it's really very touching and it's really special that they would honor it in that way to swump prior.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: It did say Pumps Philly Steaks.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: We brought that Philly Steaks down to the roof on the A-frame where it now says Predaphilly Steaks.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: And in case anybody didn't know, that is what Pumps stands for, credit-philly steaks, and you're gonna see them in a lot more of our branding going forward.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: So, as I was sharing with you, I am a second generation owner, and it's a way for me to honor my late father.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Um, that's what he started this business on was Predaphilly Stakes, and so I want to carry that name through our program name.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: We've made some updates to the exterior of the building, obviously keeping the integrity of our A-frame.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: We did refresh to a more modern Benjamin Franklin mural.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: We accommodated more guests by adding some additional patio furniture.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: We enclosed part of the patio space just to make it a touch more warm, and then we refreshed the um the flooring as well.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: We are the classic Philadelphia tea steak here at Potts.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Um it's with or without onions, but you can get a tea steak um anyway with any cheese.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: You can do provolomone, you can do our famous cheese whiz, which is actually the authentic way in Philadelphia.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Um, or you can do an American.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: You said that the sign is different because now it says open 24 hours.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: That really is something that you want people to know.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we are 24-7-365.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Um, we've never closed a day.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: I'm still gonna say that because even during the refresh, we did run out of our now food truck.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And that's available on the road for special events and gatherings now.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but yes, we are 24-7-365.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: The first time we went, I had a Philly cheesesteak with the cheese whiz and the peppers and onions.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: I really enjoyed it.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: Um, this time I went, I don't know, it was like I went really minimal.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: I went just cheese, uh, well, steak with a little provolone.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: No, no cheese whiz, okay, none of the extra onions, no peppers.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: So you went without.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I went without and I recommend wit.
- 11:01Sean McAllister: Wit is good.
- 11:02Sean McAllister: I had the ooh, is it their number 43?
- 11:06Sean McAllister: I think that's one of the most popular.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: It had uh obviously the the cheesesteak, but it had uh peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
- 11:15Sean McAllister: And it was delicious.
- 11:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: It's you know, I always say I'm not a Philly cheesesteak connoisseur, so I don't know how to compare it to any other Philly cheesesteak.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: From what I had, it's very filling.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: You're gonna get Oh, for sure.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: I mean, you order one and you are big sandwich.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: You're done.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: So I mean, but you know, it's 24-7.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: You can order on apps like I think, like, you know, the eating apps where you order delivery.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: I don't know exactly which ones.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: I know she talked to us about DoorDash and Uber Eats, probably.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: Um, but um that's great for people who get home late.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: Plus, we have so many people locally that work different shifts.
- 11:52Sean McAllister: And they have their food truck now, so we'll be seeing them out at uh around town and at community events.
- 11:58Sean McAllister: Plus, they do catering, they're at the ballpark now.
- 12:01Sean McAllister: It's they're a whole Pops is a big thing.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: It is a big thing.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: And if you're coming into town and staying on the strip, it's just a quick Uber away.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: Quick little drive for a for a cheesesteak.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: But back on the strip, um, I thought this was quite a deal, and I wanted to let people know about it.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: Uh, Cabo Wabbo Cantina is having uh they started a new taco Tuesdays on the patio, and it's a new weekly offering available from 2 to 6 p.m.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: You get a lineup of flavorful street style tacos to choose from, made fresh at a dedicated taco cart, and they're five bucks each, Sean.
- 12:39Sean McAllister: Look at that.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: A five dollar street taco.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: All right, and you get strip views sitting out there on the patio at Cabo Wabo.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: And the choices are chicken steak, uh, they have the carnitas or grilled to order, they're served on warm tortillas.
- 12:54Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like a lot of fun.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: Um, and as part of that, they have house margaritas priced at five bucks too, and a selection, a rotating selection of tequila shots will be available for five bucks.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: So swing by, do a tequila shot, have some street tacos, and all you're all in for like, you know, what, like 20 bucks.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, and enjoy your taco Tuesday.
- 13:15Sean McAllister: Again, that is from 2 to 6 p.m.
- 13:17Sean McAllister: on the patio over there at Cabo Wabo.
- 13:20Sean McAllister: And that sits right in front of the uh Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some quick celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: All right, Dana, let's start our celebrity news with a Vegas twist with your buddy Bobby Brown.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: I do love me some Bobby Brown.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: Go, Bobby, go, Bobby, go, Bobby.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: Listen, whenever I post about Bobby Brown on our social media, it goes viral immediately.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: People love Bobby.
- 13:49Sean McAllister: They do love Bobby.
- 13:50Sean McAllister: He's been up there, you know, busting his moves with New Edition.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: I saw him at the New Edition Residency twice.
- 13:56Dayna Roselli: Then I saw him at the arena show just recently.
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: Actually, got to meet him twice backstage.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: Super nice guy.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: I actually I don't want to say I was pleasantly surprised, but you never, you know, Bobby's kind of iconic.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: When you meet someone like that, you're like, how's Bobby Brown gonna be?
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: You know, because we're watching like biopics of different events, and they're like, how this and this.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: You're like, is Bobby gonna be nice?
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: Is he gonna be grumpy?
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: Is he gonna be shy?
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Is he gonna be outgoing?
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: And he was just the sweetest person ever.
- 14:28Dayna Roselli: So I really do like Bobby.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: The whole reason we're talking about Bobby is he's doing a solo show at the Palms.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: And that is coming up on July 11th.
- 14:37Sean McAllister: It's an 8 p.m.
- 14:38Sean McAllister: show inside the Pearl Concert Theater over there at the Palms Resort.
- 14:43Sean McAllister: Um, so if you like Bobby, if you want to see Bobby do his moves, Bobby has fun.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: So be prepared for that.
- 14:51Dayna Roselli: You're going in to Bobby Brown's gonna sing.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: Oh, when he because he does his little he's gonna sing Don't Be Cruel.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: He's gonna sing Tenderoni.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, you're getting all his hits and he's gonna have fun doing it.
- 15:03Dayna Roselli: So you just be prepared to have a good time.
- 15:07Sean McAllister: I feel like Bobby's been like kind of everywhere lately.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 15:11Sean McAllister: At least he's been kind of on our radar quite a bit.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: I want to say the first time that I met him um at the Encore at Win backstage, he was talking about how he's really been working hard to just rebuild and turn his life around.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: And I think he's doing a good job at trying to turn, you know, turn things around for himself and be a different person than maybe he felt he was in the past, others thought he was in the past, and so I'm good for him.
- 15:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, I I did a a big sit-down interview with him.
- 15:39Sean McAllister: Gosh, it had to have been back in 2018, 2019, and he was just fantastic.
- 15:47Sean McAllister: We talked about a a lot of things that went on in his his personal life, and he was just very open, willing to talk about things, and you know, obviously we talked about his his career too.
- 15:59Sean McAllister: And I found him to be just a really, really uh nice guy to talk to.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I haven't interviewed him, so was he he was pretty open and responsive to the questions.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: Oh, absolutely.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: Because some people you never like it's weird when you sit down with someone sometimes.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: I mean, either they're really open about their past and what they're doing now, or and especially when there has been, you know, tragedy is as part of the the personal story, but he was very open talking about the things that he's been through in his life, and you know, it was the same kind of I think he was doing a kind of a DJing thing um back in the day.
- 16:36Sean McAllister: And yeah, I know, wouldn't it?
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: I need to go, I need to hit up a I saw Loud Luxury doing some EDM fest, and they were mixing one of Taylor Swift's songs, and it was so good, and the crowd was into it, and I was like, okay, now I think I need to go see Loud Luxury or I need to go to an EDM festival.
- 16:54Sean McAllister: Well, I got a DM from you, and you were like, oh, I think a loud luxury night needs to be in the future.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 17:03Dayna Roselli: Because they're doing XS now?
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 17:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, they're over at Wynn.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they did a great mix of Taylor.
- 17:09Dayna Roselli: Was it one of Taylor's new song songs?
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: I can't remember if it was Opalite or um Fate of Ophelia.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: I think it was Fate of Ophelia.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Anyway, it was so good.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: Anyway, sometimes we pivot all over the place.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: Let's get back to the uh show, the planned show.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: Hey, Kill Tony's coming into town um for one show at Park MGM, um, all in correlation with WrestleMania.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: So FYI, all of you coming in town for WrestleMania 42.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: There's already tons going on, but um, he's gonna be featuring a mix of WWE superstars and legends in this show.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: Um I guess he has uh, you know, a popular show, but he's bringing it here on the road.
- 17:48Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:48Sean McAllister: So that'll be done on stage.
- 17:50Sean McAllister: They'll be recording it with the whole audience over there at Dolby Live.
- 17:55Sean McAllister: Um, this is happening on April 18th.
- 17:57Sean McAllister: The show time is at 9 p.m.
- 17:59Sean McAllister: So if you are going to WrestleMania, the WrestleMania is gonna be wrapped up and you'll have plenty of time to get back from Allegiant Stadium and head over to Dolby Live for this show to start and see even more of your favorite WWE stars answering questions up on stage.
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: And they probably, it's good because it'll be like a breakdown of what just happened at WrestleMania.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: So you're exactly you're getting live reaction.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: I like that.
- 18:27Sean McAllister: It is.
- 18:27Sean McAllister: I mean that that's gonna be a you know, for the fans who are in town for that, that is that's gonna be great.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: Apparently, Kill Tony's known for his unpredictable format.
