- 0:01Today is the last book from Daniel chapter 12 and it's about
- 0:06the end times. Dear Lord, please be with us as
- 0:11always to help us understand this chapter.
- 0:14We ask this in Jesus name the end times.
- 0:19At that time, Michael, the great Prince who protects your people
- 0:23will arise. Now, this is something that
- 0:29we've been introduced to in earlier chapters, that Michael
- 0:34is an Angel who has been assigned to the Israelites or I
- 0:43guess Israel, both. I guess the says your people, I
- 0:48don't know if it was specifically just the tribe of
- 0:50Judah are also the 10 tribes as well.
- 0:53But we know for sure that it was a tribe of Judah because that's
- 0:57what who Daniel was from. He was from that group of
- 1:01people. So at that time, Michael, the
- 1:04great Prince who protects your people will arise.
- 1:09And this is a little bit interesting.
- 1:12Well, I'm going to read the next line.
- 1:13There will be a time of distress, such as not happened
- 1:18from the beginning of nations until then, but at that time
- 1:24your people, everyone whose name is found written in in the book,
- 1:29will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust
- 1:34of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, others to
- 1:39shame an everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine
- 1:45like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many
- 1:50to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.
- 1:54But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll
- 1:59until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to
- 2:04increase knowledge. So there's a lot in that
- 2:07paragraph. So first of all, we talked about
- 2:10Michael and then the the next line was there.
- 2:15There will be time of distress. Such has not happened from the
- 2:19beginning of nations until then. And that's exactly what Jesus
- 2:23said too in Matthew 24 verse 21. For then there will be great
- 2:31distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until
- 2:34now, and never to be equaled again.
- 2:37Then in Matthew 2429, it says immediately after the distress
- 2:43of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give
- 2:47its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly
- 2:51bodies will be shaken. Now this will tie also into the
- 2:56Book of Revelation because in the Book of Revelation the stars
- 3:01are symbolic of angels. And when he said the stars will
- 3:06fall from the sky and the heavenly bodies will be shaken,
- 3:10it seems to me like Jesus was talking about the angels falling
- 3:15from the sky and that the heaven heavens would be shaken at this
- 3:19point. So to me, it sounds like the
- 3:23time that Michael goes up to heaven and Will, I'll show you
- 3:28in Revelation where I get this from, but Michael arises in
- 3:32heaven. There's a great battle in
- 3:33heaven, Mike and Michael remains in heaven, but then Satan is
- 3:39thrown down and Satan has this wrath that's against the people.
- 3:43I also think this is the time where where everyone's gathered.
- 3:48Similar to what this says in verse two, it says multitudes
- 3:52who sleep and the dust of the earth will awake, some to
- 3:56everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting content.
- 3:59So I believe this is when Jesus will gather the people and just
- 4:04like he gave an order of events that there's going to be this
- 4:09distress. The Suns will be darkened, and
- 4:12the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall
- 4:14from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
- 4:20And then it says, I'll just read the next verse.
- 4:23But after that it says, then will appear the sign of the Son
- 4:28of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the
- 4:31earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the
- 4:34clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
- 4:38And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they
- 4:43will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of
- 4:47heavens to the other. So it it seems like that is when
- 4:53the gathering occurs. And then in Mark it, it also
- 4:58says the same thing. Because those days of distress
- 5:02unequaled, those will be days of distress unequalled from the
- 5:06beginning when God created the world until now, and never to be
- 5:10equaled again. So this distress that will
- 5:13happen before Jesus returns is going to be greater than
- 5:17anything we've ever seen. And, and Mark also says the same
- 5:23thing. But in those days following that
- 5:25distress, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not
- 5:29give its light. The stars will fall from the sky
- 5:31and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
- 5:34At that time, people will see the Son of Man coming in the
- 5:37clouds with great power and glory, and he will send his
- 5:41Angel angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from
- 5:46the heavens, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the
- 5:51heavens. So this is when Mark gives a
- 5:54little bit more detail that he's talking about earth and heaven,
- 5:58like all these people will be gathered.
- 6:03Then Luke also talks about this and he says how dreadful it will
- 6:07be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers.
- 6:10There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this
- 6:15people. They will fall by the sword and
- 6:18be taken as prisoners to all the nations.
- 6:20Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of
- 6:25the Gentiles are fulfilled so, and then it continues on in
- 6:31Luke. There will be signs in the sun,
- 6:33moon, and stars on the earth. Nations will be in anguish and
- 6:36perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
- 6:39People will faint from terror, apprehensive about what is
- 6:42coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken
- 6:46at that time. They will see the Son of Man
- 6:48coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
- 6:51When these things begin to take place, stand up, lift up your
- 6:55heads because your redemption is drawing near.
- 6:57So there's that sequence, there's that great distress, and
- 7:01then comes the Jesus on the clouds.
- 7:09And in Romans it says there will be trouble and distress.
- 7:14This is Romans chapter 2, verse 9.
- 7:17There will be trouble and distress for every human being
- 7:20who does evil, first the Jew, then for the Gentile.
- 7:25And I kind of think about that today because the Jews are being
- 7:30persecuted after, you know, October 7th, 2023.
- 7:36And then there's the there have been lots of Christians who have
- 7:40actually been beheaded. Also, Nigeria was the most
- 7:43recent one that's been talked about.
- 7:47So this really does seem like some of these things that are
- 7:51talked about in the Bible are happening today.
- 7:55And I think that's that's about all from the great distress.
- 8:01And there is in 2nd Thessalonians 2 verse 7, it says
- 8:09for the mystery of lawlessness is already at work.
- 8:14Only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of
- 8:19the way. I know there's a lot of people
- 8:22who say that refers to the church, but I also think we
- 8:27should consider that that may mean Michael, Michael being
- 8:32taken out, he protects Israel and then he's going to be, he's
- 8:36going to arise into the heavens when Satan gets thrown down and
- 8:41then they don't have their protection anymore.
- 8:44It's part of the plan that God put in place, that the wrath of
- 8:48God is coming because people were unrepentant.
- 8:51They rejected him and for all the reasons.
- 8:55God always gives reasons why these things come about, but
- 8:57it's because of people's decisions.
- 9:00And he also wants people still to return to him in the book,
- 9:04throughout the Book of Revelation, which ties into
- 9:07this, he's continually saying, you know, if they would have
- 9:12repented, they would have been saved.
- 9:15But they choose not to repent, not to change their ways, not to
- 9:18turn to God. So I think we need to, it's much
- 9:22better to read about it and learn about it than to
- 9:24experience it. So if we are in that place where
- 9:28we haven't turned to God and we're still living rebellious to
- 9:32God, now is a really good time to do it because there's so many
- 9:35different signs from these prophetic books that are
- 9:38happening in our world today that there's a lot of people who
- 9:42think Jesus is coming soon. And from what I'm seeing too, I,
- 9:48I think the same way. And we'll only know after the
- 9:52fact, but it is certainly something that I wouldn't want
- 9:56to be surprised by. I would rather be prepared and
- 10:00know that whenever Jesus returns, I don't have anything
- 10:04to fear because I'm at peace with God.
- 10:07I'm not rebelling against him and I've gone through that
- 10:12process. So anyway, that's I think the
- 10:14most important of all of this is not so much the timing, but just
- 10:18getting our relationship right with God.
- 10:21So when Michael the restrainer is removed, I believe that's
- 10:26when this war happens. And that's found in Revelation
- 10:30chapter 12 verse 7. And war broke out in heaven.
- 10:35Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon
- 10:40in his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place
- 10:44found for them in heaven any longer.
- 10:46So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old called
- 10:50the Devil and Satan who deceives the whole world, and he was cast
- 10:54to the earth and his angels were cast out with him.
- 10:58So at that point, I do wonder if that's when it really gets that
- 11:06that distress that's never happened before and never will
- 11:10again is because of Satan being cast down to the earth and that
- 11:16he is pursuing Israel and Michael is in the heavenly
- 11:23realms. And this is part of what God was
- 11:26warning everyone about. That's my opinion, and we'll
- 11:33just see what happens after the fact.
- 11:35But there is a warning in here. It does say that.
- 11:40Here's something else that's I think is important for us to pay
- 11:43attention to. Then I heard a loud voice in a
- 11:47loud voice saying in heaven. This is in Revelation chapter 12
- 11:51verse 10. Then I heard a loud voice in
- 11:53heaven saying, Now salvation and strength and the Kingdom of our
- 11:57God and the power of his Christ have come for the accuser of our
- 12:03brethren who accused them before our God day and night has been
- 12:07cast down. And they overcame him by the
- 12:12blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and
- 12:16they did not love their lives to the death.
- 12:22So this also means that some people which we already know
- 12:26that Christians are being beheaded today, that for not
- 12:31denouncing their faith in Jesus. So some people may be required
- 12:36to do that. That's what this the Bible tells
- 12:40us. But those people, the the good
- 12:42news about those people is they will come to life when Jesus
- 12:45returns and they are going to be in a prominent position.
- 12:49They're actually going to be reigning with Christ ruling
- 12:52during this thousand year millennial reign that Christ
- 12:56will be king and ruling from Jerusalem.
- 12:59So God restores everything like we that's one thing that, you
- 13:04know, maybe some of this Bible prophecy is concerning some of
- 13:10the things it definitely is. But if our relationship is good
- 13:14with God, we don't have anything to fear because we know that our
- 13:17relationship was right with him and and he will protect us
- 13:22whatever we need. Maybe we'll have to live through
- 13:25some of this and but there's a point where he will gather us
- 13:29because I believe we are not subject to his wrath.
- 13:34But I do believe that we will go through a certain amount of
- 13:37tribulation. I'm just not sure how much of
- 13:39it. But it it does sound like there
- 13:43will, there are people that are believers who are still here
- 13:46when Satan's wrath is coming out.
- 13:49So just I think people need to be prepared more or less.
- 13:54There's nothing really physically that you can do.
- 13:57It's more spiritually prepared with your relationship with God
- 14:03and just believing in Jesus and having the Holy Spirit because
- 14:06the Holy Spirit gives us power and does all, you know, does all
- 14:11sorts of things within our lives.
- 14:13I mean changes us. And that's we need the Holy
- 14:18Spirit to enter the Kingdom of God.
- 14:20Just like Jesus said in John chapter 3, you must be born
- 14:23again. So there's a there's things also
- 14:28that not things, but it says in the book of Daniel, it says the
- 14:34multitudes who sleep in the earth.
- 14:36Those are people who are dead already and the Bible refers to
- 14:40them as those who sleep. They will awake.
- 14:43That's when they rise up some to everlasting life and others to
- 14:47shame and everlasting content. Those who are, Oh, actually it
- 14:52was the verse before that I meant to read.
- 14:55It says, but at that time, your people, everyone whose name is
- 14:59found written in the book will be delivered.
- 15:03So this is saying that there's going to be this great time of
- 15:06distress. But at that time, your people,
- 15:10everyone whose name is found written in the book will be
- 15:13delivered. So that to me sounds like
- 15:16protection like there are, there will be this gathering that
- 15:21we're going to, we'll see it. We're going to see it happen,
- 15:24happening. But Jesus is going to gather
- 15:27those whoever's name is written in the book.
- 15:31So I think it's important to know that your name is written
- 15:37in the book of life. And I'll read some things about
- 15:42the book of Life. If you want to go to digital
- 15:45version of the Bible, I go to blueletterbible.org and you can
- 15:49just search book of life and you will find that there are 8
- 15:53verses in the NIV version that talk about the book of Life.
- 15:57Now this is interesting because it's in Psalms 69 verse 28, it
- 16:04says may they be blotted out of the book of life and not listed
- 16:10with the righteous. So we know that the book of life
- 16:14are those who are considered righteous.
- 16:16And this is probably maybe David's Psalm or something.
- 16:21I'm not sure. I'll look back at it to see it
- 16:26says for the director of music to the tune of Lilies of David.
- 16:31So this is something that David was pleading for.
- 16:34But do does God blot people out of the book of life?
- 16:40I don't really know. I haven't studied that fully,
- 16:45but it sounds like if your name is in there, he's not going to
- 16:50blot it out. But there still could be
- 16:54consequences of how we live even if our names are in the Book of
- 16:59Life. So I'll just read these various
- 17:02entries that are called the Book of Life and then maybe this will
- 17:06make sense. But I also want to read about
- 17:08who is subject to wrath. So I've also done a separate
- 17:12search on the word wrath because these two things are really
- 17:15important because I think we need to hear what what it says
- 17:21about the book of life people and also about the people of
- 17:24wrath and to make sure like to evaluate where we stand with
- 17:28God. So in Philippians 4 verse three
- 17:32it says yes and I ask you my true companion, help these women
- 17:37since they have contended at my side in the case of the gospel
- 17:41along with Clement and the rest of my Co workers whose names are
- 17:45in the book of life. So Paul is talking about people
- 17:49who you know he was talking about the gospel to many people
- 17:53and making sure that people had the Holy Spirit.
- 17:56And so I believe if you have the Holy Spirit, then your name is
- 18:00in the book of life. So then in Revelation chapter 3,
- 18:04verse 5, it says the one who is victorious will, like them, be
- 18:11dressed in white. I will never blot out the name
- 18:16of that person from the Book of Life, but will acknowledge that
- 18:20name before my Father and his angels.
- 18:25And it's talking about the one who let's see, maybe I should
- 18:33read. It's to a certain church in
- 18:36Sardis. To the Angel of the church in
- 18:39Sardis, write. These are the words of him who
- 18:42holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
- 18:46I know your deeds. You have a reputation of being
- 18:49alive, but you are dead. So Jesus is taught, He told John
- 18:56to write a letter to seven different churches and this is
- 18:59to 1 church and and he's saying that you have a reputation of
- 19:03being alive. This is spiritually, but you are
- 19:05dead. Wake up, strengthen what remains
- 19:10and is about to die. For I have found your deeds
- 19:14unfinished in the sight of my God.
- 19:18Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard.
- 19:23Hold it fast and repent. But if you do not wake up, I
- 19:29will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I
- 19:33will come to you. Yet you have a few people in
- 19:37Sardis who have not soiled their clothes.
- 19:40They walk with me dressed in white, for they are worthy.
- 19:44The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white.
- 19:50So there is it. It looks like, you know, that
- 19:56even though we are saved by grace, if we're rebelling
- 19:59against God, I think we should be concerned about that because
- 20:06the way that this is stated by Jesus, he, he said, you know,
- 20:12talking about. You have a reputation of being
- 20:15alive, but you are dead. Strengthen what remains and is
- 20:18about to die. For I have found your deeds
- 20:20unfinished in the sight of my God.
- 20:23I don't think I'd want to see Jesus and have him say this to
- 20:26me at when he arrives here at on earth.
- 20:32I mean, I'd I'd rather think about it right now and if
- 20:34there's something I need to do, take care of it.
- 20:37I don't want to hear it from him when he comes because that that
- 20:42would be awful. Revelation 13, verse 8.
- 20:47All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast.
- 20:51All the names haven't, all whose names have not been written in
- 20:56the Lambs. That's Jesus's book of life, the
- 21:00Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world, That was
- 21:04Jesus who is crucified on the cross.
- 21:07So it it's interesting in the Book of Revelation, what I've
- 21:12noticed is that at least in the NIV version, it talks about the
- 21:16inhabitants of the earth. That seems to be different than
- 21:21the people who had the Holy Spirit, because it says all
- 21:25inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast, and then it
- 21:29clarifies it all whose names have not been written in the
- 21:34Lamb's Book of Life. So there's going to be this
- 21:37great deception over people and they are going to worship this
- 21:42beast and they are going to reject God.
- 21:46And those are the people whose names are not written in the
- 21:49Lamb's Book of Life. And they don't realize, they
- 21:52don't know that they are actually going to be in eternal
- 21:56torment. I mean, this is.
- 21:58And if somebody takes the mark of the beast, it's an
- 22:03unforgivable sin because I believe it's probably saying it.
- 22:08It's dedicating your worship. I mean, you're worshipping
- 22:11something else. And that's one of the things
- 22:13that God will not share with something, a created being that
- 22:17is not a God. And that's what he says
- 22:20throughout the Bible over and over again as he's not going to
- 22:23share that with anyone. So I believe that's why the mark
- 22:28of the beast, if anybody takes it, it's an unforgivable sin.
- 22:33So that's something that will send you with into the burning
- 22:38lake of sulfur. I mean, that's the Bible tells
- 22:40us. So you're being warned.
- 22:42You can make a choice now, and it may mean death.
- 22:47You may have to choose to be willing to willingly die rather
- 22:52than take the mark of the beast because there are people who are
- 22:56going to do that. As the Bible indicates in
- 23:03Revelation 17 verse 8, it says the beast which you saw once
- 23:08was, now is not and yet will come up out of the abyss and go
- 23:12to its destruction. So the abyss is a place where
- 23:16demons are and apparently one of the fallen angels has the key to
- 23:22it will have access and and let the these demons out of the
- 23:29earth around the 5th trumpet. I was just looking at that.
- 23:33So then it says in this Revelation 17 verse 8, it says
- 23:37the inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been
- 23:41written in the book of life from the creation of the world will
- 23:44be astonished when they see the beast because it once was now is
- 23:49not and yet will come. So this is going to be something
- 23:53that is going to be something we probably have never ever seen
- 23:59before. And I don't know that anybody
- 24:03can quite prepare for that. But we can prepare and have our
- 24:07names in the book of life. When we receive the Holy Spirit,
- 24:10we that's our life. So then let's talk about the
- 24:17wrath of God. Like who is?
- 24:20Yeah, Jesus was saying this in Matthew chapter 3, verse 7.
- 24:24But when he saw many of the Pharisees and the Sadducees
- 24:27coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them, you
- 24:32brood of Vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
- 24:38So these were ones, they, they weren't believers and they were
- 24:42against Jesus. And apparently they, you know,
- 24:48he's observing this and saying, you know, why are you trying to,
- 24:53you know, notice that he was baptizing and he said to them,
- 24:57you brood of Vipers. Vipers are kind of like the
- 25:01snake and they're connected with Satan.
- 25:05And I don't know if I want to look for this.
- 25:08I think it was John, John, not Jesus who said that.
- 25:13And but he was, he had spiritual discernment and he knew that
- 25:19these were not godly focused people.
- 25:22They were religious people, but they they were all about the act
- 25:30and not really about the sincerity of it.
- 25:35Luke says the same thing that John said to the crowds coming
- 25:39out to be baptized. You brood of Vipers who warned
- 25:41you to flee from the coming wrath.
- 25:43So you can see that this baptism, that's repentance of
- 25:48your sin, like turning your mind to, I guess, turning your mind
- 25:53towards God and agreeing with God that you don't want to be
- 25:57rebellious to him and his commands anymore.
- 25:59And then receiving the Holy Spirit through Jesus so that our
- 26:03lives can change and we can, I guess essentially our lives do
- 26:11change and we begin to appreciate what God appreciates
- 26:17and not like what God doesn't like.
- 26:19And that's through the Holy Spirit.
- 26:20The Holy Spirit really does change people, but we have to be
- 26:24willing to do that or it won't happen.
- 26:28Then it says in Luke 21 verse 23 how dreadful it will be in those
- 26:33days for pregnant women and nursing mothers.
- 26:35There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this
- 26:39people. Now here in John, it tells us a
- 26:44little bit about John chapter 3 verse 36.
- 26:49Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever
- 26:55rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on
- 27:00them. So when Jesus said I am the way,
- 27:03the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except
- 27:07through me. This is, you know, being
- 27:11repeated again. Whoever believes in Jesus has
- 27:15eternal life, but whoever rejects Jesus will not see life,
- 27:20for God's wrath remains on them. Then Romans chapter one verse
- 27:2818, the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all
- 27:33the godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth
- 27:38by their wickedness in Romans chapter 2 verse 5.
- 27:44But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you
- 27:49are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's
- 27:54wrath when His righteous judgement will be revealed.
- 27:59In Romans chapter 2 verse 8 it says but for those who are self
- 28:03seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil there will be
- 28:10wrath and anger. In Romans 4 verse 15 it says
- 28:20because the law brings wrath and where there is no law there is
- 28:25no transgression. So this is basically saying that
- 28:30without Jesus, we're subject to wrath because we all break the
- 28:36law, the 10 commandments, the laws that God gave.
- 28:40And there's no way once we break it, we are separated from Him.
- 28:46And the only way that we can atone for that, there's nothing
- 28:50we can do. The only the consequence of that
- 28:52is just death. But that's why Jesus died on the
- 28:55cross, to make atonement for us so that we can be in God's
- 29:01Kingdom. So that's where the law is not
- 29:04going to prevail because the substitute sacrifice was made by
- 29:08Jesus for us. So we're not subject to the
- 29:13wrath of God. And then it says in Romans
- 29:17chapter 5, verse nine, since we have now been justified by His
- 29:21blood, by Jesus's blood, how much more shall we be saved from
- 29:26God's wrath through Him? So Jesus is the one that saves
- 29:31us from God's wrath. Romans 9 verse 22.
- 29:36What if God, although choosing to show His wrath and make His
- 29:40power known, bore with great patience the objects of His
- 29:45wrath, prepared for destruction? So God is very patient with us
- 29:50and He doesn't want anyone to experience His wrath, but He's
- 29:56the God of justice. So if the only way we can really
- 30:01handle this in our minds is by thinking about somebody who has
- 30:05done something really awful and has never been forgiving, like
- 30:10maybe they killed a loved one and you would want justice for
- 30:16that. And so God has to do justice.
- 30:20If somebody isn't repentant, if they don't turn away from living
- 30:24like that, they are going to be separated because that will not
- 30:28be in God's Kingdom. In Romans chapter 12, verse 19.
- 30:33Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for
- 30:36God's wrath. For it is written, it is mine to
- 30:40avenge. I will repay, says the Lord.
- 30:43So if somebody is wrong to you, just forgive them and let God
- 30:48handle it. He will.
- 30:49And we also have to remember that when somebody does
- 30:52something wrong to us, they are really no different than us in
- 30:59that they are rebellious. And if they're doing something
- 31:03mean, we've done things mean to others at some point in our life
- 31:09and we've been forgiven. And it also says like we will be
- 31:13forgiven on the basis of how we forgive others.
- 31:16So it doesn't mean that when we forgive somebody that we're
- 31:19saying it was OK what they did. It just means we are not going
- 31:22to take that opportunity to have revenge on them.
- 31:26We will let God deal with them and we will pray for them that
- 31:29they they can have a change of heart and realize their eyes
- 31:33will be opened. So and then Romans chapter 13
- 31:38verse 4. For the one in authority is
- 31:41God's servant for your good, but if you do wrong, be afraid, for
- 31:45rulers do not bear the sword for no reason.
- 31:48They are God's servants, agents of wrath to Bing bring
- 31:53punishment on the wrongdoer. And then in Ephesians chapter 2,
- 31:58verse 3, all of us also lived among them at one time,
- 32:03gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires
- 32:08and thoughts like the rest. We were by nature deserving of
- 32:12wrath. So we shouldn't, none of us
- 32:16should think we're any better than anyone else because we've
- 32:18all been there. You know, it's just a matter of
- 32:21timing. Like have we repented of it?
- 32:23Have we turned to God? Do we have the Holy Spirit?
- 32:26Are we in the process of being changed by the Holy Spirit with
- 32:29us being willing for that? But everybody goes through it.
- 32:35And then Ephesians 5, verse 6, it says, let no one deceive you
- 32:39with empty words, for because of such things, God's wrath comes
- 32:46on those who are disobedient. So it says in the verse before
- 32:53this is probably I mean there's a few there's several verses
- 32:59ahead of this maybe that we should I'll read the verses that
- 33:03come about it. So you know that what they're
- 33:06talking about. God's wrath comes on those who
- 33:08are disobedient. Here are the verses one through
- 33:125 before the one I I read. Follow God's example.
- 33:16Therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of
- 33:20love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a
- 33:26fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- 33:29But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality
- 33:35or of any kind of impurity or of greed, because these are
- 33:42improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity,
- 33:48foolish talk or coarse joking which are out of place, but
- 33:53rather Thanksgiving, for of this you can be sure.
- 33:58No immoral, impure or greedy person.
- 34:03Such a person is an idolater, has any inheritance in the
- 34:09Kingdom of Christ and of God. So that's kind of important and
- 34:16it about repentance and turning away from those kinds of ways of
- 34:21living, because it says that if you if you live like that and
- 34:24you don't do anything about it, you don't change with through
- 34:28Christ, then they're those people do not have an
- 34:35inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.
- 34:38That's you don't, you don't want to be in that.
- 34:43First Thessalonians 2 verse 16 in their effort to keep us from
- 34:47speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved in this way,
- 34:50they always heap up their sins to the limit.
- 34:53The wrath of God has come upon them at last.
- 34:58And then in First Thessalonians 5, verse 9, For God did not
- 35:04appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our
- 35:09Lord Jesus Christ. So there's a big difference
- 35:13about what he, there's a, an important word that he used our
- 35:19Lord Jesus Christ. That means we answer to him,
- 35:23that means we're obedient to Him, and that means we obey Him.
- 35:28So he is the Lord of our life. So for God did not appoint us to
- 35:32suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus
- 35:38Christ. So when we make Jesus our Lord
- 35:41and we're obedient to Him, we have salvation and we're not to
- 35:45suffer wrath. And then let's see then it just
- 35:55talks about the actual wrath that comes when Jesus returns.
- 36:01So those there's other there's a lot more verses about wrath.
- 36:05But anyway, I just thought I would share those things because
- 36:08I think it's really important to know that.
- 36:11So going back to verse 5 of Daniel chapter 12, it says then
- 36:19I Daniel looked and there before me stood two others, one on this
- 36:23Bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.
- 36:27One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above
- 36:32the waters of the river. So I'm imagining this as he
- 36:36floating above the the river. I don't know how long will it be
- 36:42before these astonishing things are fulfilled.
- 36:46The man in clothed in linen who was above the waters of the
- 36:51river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven.
- 36:56And I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying it will be
- 37:01for a time, times and half a time, when the power of the holy
- 37:07people has finally has been finally broken, all these things
- 37:13will be completed. So that's another question, when
- 37:17the power of the holy people has been, when that's happened.
- 37:23And there's a verse in Revelation 11 verse 13 or verse
- 37:323. So first of all, this is what
- 37:38Jesus is saying. I will give power to my 2
- 37:43witnesses and they will prophecy 1260 days clothed in sackcloth.
- 37:50The same statement in Daniel says time times and half a time
- 37:56so that 1260 days is 3 1/2 years.
- 38:03So when the power of the holy people has finally been broken.
- 38:09So I wonder if that is the two witnesses when their power has
- 38:14been broken. And then in that same chapter of
- 38:17Revelation in verse 7, it says when this is referring to the
- 38:21two witnesses, when they finish their testimony, the beast that
- 38:26ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them,
- 38:30overcome them and kill them. So that's when I think the power
- 38:36of the holy people has been broken, when the beast out of
- 38:40the abyss kills the two witnesses who had been
- 38:46prophesying for 3 1/2 years. So that's when all these things
- 38:53will be completed. I heard, but I did not
- 38:56understand. So I asked my Lord, what will
- 39:00the outcome of all this be? He replied, Go on your way,
- 39:03Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the
- 39:07end of the Until the time of the end, many will be purified, made
- 39:12spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be
- 39:16wicked. None of the wicked will
- 39:18understand, but those who are wise will understand.
- 39:23From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the
- 39:26abomination that causes desolation is set up there will
- 39:31be I I recommend going to Blue Letter Bible and looking up
- 39:38Daniel chapter 12 verse 11 and go use the toolbar because I
- 39:44came up with a different number. The Bible says 1290 but when I
- 39:49look at the Hebrew it I came up with 1190 which makes a
- 39:56difference. But anyway it's from the time
- 40:00the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes
- 40:04desolation is set up. So it's giving us a time frame
- 40:08to look at. But the time frame I think was
- 40:12not translated correctly. So check it out and see if you
- 40:16find the same thing. And then it says blessed is the
- 40:20one who waits for and reaches the end of 1335 days.
- 40:25That seemed to translate the way the Bible is.
- 40:28As for you go on your way till the end, you will rest and then
- 40:33at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted
- 40:36inheritance. So that's the end of chapter 12.
- 40:41And there were, there are things that I went through the book of
- 40:46Daniel and Revelation because these dates were our numbers of
- 40:52days got me very confused. And I think they probably
- 40:55confuse everybody because there's all these variety of
- 40:58dates. So there's 1290 days, but then
- 41:04there's 1260 days. So that was always confusing.
- 41:09But I think that it may be a translation error.
- 41:13And I came up with 1190 days, which is 3.3 years.
- 41:20And you can find that verse in Daniel chapter 12 verse 11.
- 41:25And then the 1260 days is 70 days longer than that 1190 days
- 41:37that we just talked about, which I think is very interesting
- 41:40because this is how much longer it's part of Satan's wrath
- 41:43because he gets 3 1/2 years to do this.
- 41:46So it lines up at 70, which is a really interesting number
- 41:52scripturally because Babylon's exile was the the tribe of Judah
- 41:58was in Babylon for 70 years. And so this is 70 days.
- 42:04And I just think maybe it's symbolic.
- 42:06A lot of times there's historical repetition and
- 42:09numbers are significant. So when you get the what I think
- 42:14is the correct number of 1190, the difference between 1190 and
- 42:171260 is 70 days, something that's interesting.
- 42:23And then in the next time frame is I think 1300 days, not 2300
- 42:34days. And you can find that in Daniel
- 42:36chapter 8 verse 14 and look up the Hebrew and see what you get.
- 42:42I got 1300 days and that 1300 days is 40 more than the 1260
- 42:50days. And the whole purpose of it is
- 42:54to cleanse the sanctuary. So I thought that was more
- 42:59accurate biblically because 40 days, remember, like Noah's ark
- 43:07was, I mean, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.
- 43:09And that was like a symbolic cleansing of evil.
- 43:13And so this is what it takes, you know, this is 40 more days
- 43:17to cleanse the sanctuary. Just it seems to make sense.
- 43:22And then 1335 days, I didn't find a discrepancy with what was
- 43:27in the Bible when I looked at the Hebrew, it's 35 days longer
- 43:31than the 1300. And it says that the people will
- 43:35be blessed that last till that day till that time.
- 43:38And I don't really know the significance of it, but it's
- 43:44kind of interest. It's it's very interesting
- 43:48anyway, so I will go through the study Bibles, questions and
- 43:52answers, and then we'll wrap this up and we'll move on to
- 43:55another book the next time I do this podcast.
- 43:58So how did the people in the Old Testament view resurrection, the
- 44:03Hebrew word for the place of the dead?
- 44:05She'll offers few details about what they thought it was like.
- 44:10There are hints that the dead would be raised in Job chapter
- 44:1419, verses 25 through 27 in Psalm 49 verse 15 and Isaiah 26
- 44:22verse 19. Daniel chapter 12, verse 2 is
- 44:26the first clear reference to resurrection of both the
- 44:31righteous and the wicked. When will the power of the holy
- 44:36people be broken? This verse may refer to a
- 44:39military conquest of Israel, which some believe will happen
- 44:45in the end times, perhaps as part of the battle of
- 44:48Armageddon. From Revelation chapter 16, the
- 44:51word finally seems to reflect the passage of time before the
- 44:56event, not its desirability. So I happen to think it's the
- 45:01two witnesses. Perhaps, but we will find out.
- 45:05OK what's been sealed until the time of the end?
- 45:09The prophecy was to be safeguarded so that current and
- 45:13future believers could benefit from it.
- 45:16The Heavenly Message also seems to have been saying that the
- 45:19prophecy was complete and no further information would be
- 45:23given at that time. What was the purpose of this
- 45:27prophecy? If the words were sealed?
- 45:30The prophecy made it clear that suffering would be allowed.
- 45:33What would be followed by justice and God's eternal reign?
- 45:37For the Exiles in Babylon, this meant new motivation to stay
- 45:41true to their faith. For those who later suffered at
- 45:46the hands of Antiochus the 4th, it meant hope for a time when
- 45:52the Messiah would come. For the early Christians and for
- 45:56oppressed believers today, it means a glimpse at the end of
- 46:00the story when Christ will return.
- 46:04What happened when these two time periods had passed?
- 46:07The persecution by Antiochus the 4th Epiphanes was followed by
- 46:12the rededication of the temple in 165 BC.
- 46:17If this is what the times stand for, it's not certain why one is
- 46:21longer than the other. Some think the times involved a
- 46:24much later period, namely the great tribulation described in
- 46:28the Book of Revelation. Revelation Chapter 11.
- 46:31That's kind of where we were talking about.
- 46:33If so, the 45 day difference might be a gap between the end
- 46:39of the tribulations and the beginning of the thousand year
- 46:42reign by Christ. So, and I think I came up with
- 46:4735 days because of the numbers that I see.
- 46:53So look and look and see what you think about the Hebrew and
- 46:56see what you come up with. I, I just, I'm surprised that
- 46:59there would be a discrepancy, but I've looked at it several
- 47:01times and I keep coming back to that.
- 47:03So I don't know. But anyway, we are, that's the
- 47:06end of chapter 12. So we are finished with the book
- 47:09of Daniel and we will be moving on to the next prophet.
- 47:14So hope if you're not subscribed, please subscribe.
- 47:18If you want to stay in the word every day and if you found any
- 47:21of this beneficial, please share with other people too.
- 47:24Thank you.
