Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_12]: Hello and welcome to a special holiday edition of Bushby and Thompson's wrestling adventure in Amyahos, Martin Bushby, and joining me of course is the one, the only Mr Andrew Thompson Andrew, how are you mate?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_07]: Mr Martin Bushby, it's a great to see you, man, great to be back on the, uh, on the, the piecares airways, which you, you look splendid, my brother, the great.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_12]: So do you mate, I've been excited about this ever since we announced that yeah, I can't wait to get back in the guest back on and just try and the year as it was in wrestling because on the show tonight we'll be having a variety of guests to chat the year that was pro wrestling in 2025 and beyond and thanks for the waste of day being braided and for allowing us on plays and rather all the great work that they do so thanks again lads but Andrew it's been a year
- 0:51[SPEAKER_12]: since we've put it together, it was a last of like Buschbury and Thompson's holiday extravaganza and as you look back at 2025 in wrestling, how has it been for you, if you were, you know, we've had some highs and lows like we always had, but as a year as a whole, if you've seen a lot of stuff that you've been enjoying.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think it's kind of like you say it has been you know, very, you know,
- 1:15[SPEAKER_07]: some has and lows.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_07]: I think that's like the best way to describe it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_07]: You can say that about anything.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_07]: Life, you say that about, you know, well, whatever the situation is, you could apply that to anything.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think there's been some, a lot of stuff that I've enjoyed this year.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_07]: Some stuff I didn't enjoy in terms of wrestling.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_07]: I really enjoy to to catch this journey through the, through the G-1 and then eventually on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on on
- 1:42[SPEAKER_07]: Like, it won't one thing that I haven't enjoyed a lot of saying the sort of ascension of this jet speed tag team with Kevin Knight and his people Mike Bailey and especially going on the scene right currently right now through day-on thing and the kind of classic definitely enjoyed that and it is a bunch of other stuff too you know but it's far as on your end like what was then you know they're that similar question and that's it.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_12]: It's worth for me because there's been a load of wrestling that I've really, really enjoyed, but I feel like I've been watching less than ever this year, something like since, like I went me and my wife went over to Vegas.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_12]: We initially planned to go to WrestleMania and then I was watching the build and the ticket price and stuff for a lot, I will give it a mess, we'll go to a bunch of indie shows, never been to Vegas before, so I'll have a great time doing it a lot in the shows we went through.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_12]: And it was really good in them.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_12]: So some sort of like great wrestling on the sort of like industry off another great time in that.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_12]: And so like not really sort of like checking what do we do since then I sort of light over them so I listened to podcasts and checking clips out and obviously watching seniors retirement match against them to the other night.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_12]: But yeah it's been mainly a W and then bits of great wrestling things like that and obviously
- 2:54[SPEAKER_12]: They do we use other an up and down year, well as far as matte collard egos, some of the stuff they've been up in on the screen front.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_12]: That's it.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, I don't think I'm really doing any match of the air podcast or anything.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_12]: So definitely say the hangman and a moxramolim was definitely my
- 3:10[SPEAKER_12]: match of the year for 2020, if I haven't, I feel hangman had some good matches over the summer especially like kale sweatshirt and then the rye is a kale sweatshirt.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_12]: I remember saying, yeah exactly team and remark Davis on the Britain days you know as skinny as I am and now look at him he's like jack to the gills having great matches everywhere you know Christmas tree enough and it feels like the world is always there.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_07]: I saw Kyle Fletcher in person and it was at an NJP of which John showed the cabin collision in DC.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_07]: It just had to be like two years ago, maybe three years ago, and like I, I, I, I, I, I.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_07]: I would have never imagined him transitioning into, like, he's essentially, like, even though Ocada and Takeshita are in the Don Carlos family, like, to me, at least, it's very evident that Cal Fletcher is like, he's the guy that they're gonna, you know, that is the thing, it's built the way, like, he's the main guy in the group, like, even with Kuzuch Gocada, and Kuzuch gets the question to group.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_07]: And I think it's very clear that you know, AEW is like prime and powerful ledger for like the B and that world title singing for the rest of his time in that company.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_07]: And I wouldn't be surprised if he's world champion.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_07]: I'd probably save it the next two years at some point.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_07]: Probably put the back in like 27.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, it definitely feels like this has been his breakout year and like said before it's so good to see from a guy I feel like, even though he's Australian, he felt like her sort of brick rest or homegrown guy.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_12]: So yeah, great, great, great seeing from there.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_12]: But under like said, we've got tons of guests to get on.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_12]: And I've noticed our first guest is waiting in the wings.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_12]: So shall we get our first guest on for this, for this wrestling extravadanza?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_07]: Very more.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_12]: So you're recognizing from grapple, Beno and Hansler, and of course, you know, my old mate co-hosts from the British Western experience.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_12]: It's none other than Richard Benson, aka Beno and it's Swassidy, Beno.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_12]: Did I say it?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_09]: Exactly.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_09]: proper intro there.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_09]: I appreciate that.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, oh, no, wait, that's not my gottries.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_09]: Ritres is dead.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_09]: That's my gottries.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_09]: As we go Martin, I'm looking forward to talking about it.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_09]: Square go and all of the other goons on this year.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_09]: I'll find code pro do and haven't checked in on them in a while.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_09]: And look forward to it.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_09]: I'll find it out nice.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, yes mate.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_12]: Did you not know that sort of like the big guy see that we show the year now is now at the Gallagin Glasgow, which holds about 200 people.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_12]: So yeah, I think we checked out a Brit restaurant at the right time, I think mate.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_09]: We've got some of them trend seven millions years getting fired, but it isn't even fun to just go and use.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_09]: That's what I was told.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_09]: I'm sure I'm doing written at a polarity because it's going to make you happy, isn't it?
- 5:52[SPEAKER_07]: It was good, man.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_07]: It was fun.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_07]: I had just saw that story yesterday about the, like, so it's apparently like a new promotion that that's what that's what that is that he's doing.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_07]: He's like, as if they're back and coming in.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_09]: Five star wrestling parts.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_09]: But no, there was a lot of, about one month.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_09]: It's not a part of magic beans, isn't it?
- 6:11[SPEAKER_09]: But it's always trying to chase to the end of that rainbow one day, it's going to come.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_07]: Do you think if this thing, like, actually does get out of the ground, do you think there's a chance it could be?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I don't think there's a chance it could be.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_09]: You could finish the sentence there.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_09]: It feels like, even on the Ogden, who's often our old co-host, often more positive than I think me and Martin used to be back on the day.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_09]: Needles can say it out on end, so I'm going with him.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_09]: I'm going with Andy and Jeff.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_09]: If in Doubt Martin, that was always the best way.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_12]: And also, and dude, there's been so many false dons with fucking great wrestlers been like then I've said five star over one pd will be over.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_12]: Even if you talk to great wrestlers from the eighties and nineies, they must have been from me so much stuff and nothing ever seen was complete.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_12]: I just think.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_12]: People just like WWE and AWS stuff too much and you know, I don't think sort of like great rescinders are going to get any bigger than what they currently are.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_12]: So we had it.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_06]: We had a sign with some of it.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_09]: Hopefully.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_09]: It's a brilliant sign.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_09]: It's a brilliant sign.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_09]: It's a brilliant sign.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_09]: It's a brilliant sign.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_09]: This is Christ.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_09]: It's just so funny because if you see like the stories where it's been posted all of the like don't do Twitter much anymore I don't know you're a blue sky.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_09]: I'm on now these days, but like the quote tweets are just full of all the old nobets from like five or six years ago I used to be one of them just going this will ever happen.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_09]: This is bullshit typical bread res But then in the comments it's all the rest let's go and fingers crossed
- 7:32[SPEAKER_09]: None of us have a land, do we?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_09]: We're all the same.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_09]: With this one, let's do this part.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_12]: How we can milk?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, where's another cash cow?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_12]: We can milk?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, that's what the rest of the thinking.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's always thinking about it a little bit.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_12]: Well, Beno, we only had to talk about Britrest thankfully.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_12]: Um, you are joining us live from basically the other side of the world.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, obviously, you know, ripples in this ordinary, sort of like based over in Asia now and so on, Thailand region.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_12]: So it allows that being going for you for the past sort of like you've been over there a year now.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's about nine months at this point.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, I'm going to be back in January to do some Christmas post Christmas visits with family and such as well.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_09]: And then I'll be back out here again.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_09]: But yeah, I'm in the Vietnam at the minute in Hanoi, which I'm loving.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_09]: I've got a nice little 30-pence beer in there, Martin.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_09]: You're not getting that in there in the UK.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think strong stuff as well.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_09]: Should see the SIGI is to Martin 30-p for the whole pack of 20.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_09]: I feel like Steph when she came to visit me, saved all the money she spent on a flight she saved back from her from cigarettes that she bought.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_09]: I'll tell you that it worked out.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_09]: Wow, quite well.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_09]: Outside of that, no, absolutely lovin' it.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, the time difference is a bit of a challenge with, we've podcasted them in search.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_09]: It's three in the morning air at this point, but I'm a...
- 8:40[SPEAKER_09]: I'm used to it at this point, this year's one, we're just wrapping up grapple shows, but yeah, Thailand was amazing.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_09]: Vietnam's...
- 8:47[SPEAKER_09]: probably prefer it just that little bit more of an outness.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_09]: It's a bit more rough and ready than Thailand.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_09]: So I like the challenge of it.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_09]: And obviously, I was spent a bit of time in Japan as well, went to Tokyo, hoping to go to Osaka next year as well.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_09]: You could see the fresh new Japan Apollo topal got out.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just a big fan of the G1, F23, could tell you to win it, but it was a five or an heir to Duke and Martin.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_09]: When in town you've got to have it here.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_09]: I know you've been through those hollowed holes, so that was a high like two, but yeah Loving life, it's great everyone should do it.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_09]: Come join me.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_07]: Come on, Andrew It meant when I was listening to some like the some of your highlights are then and being in Thailand like some of your favorite memories I guess over this you know, there's a past almost year that you win Asia region like what was listening to some of your favorite things so far
- 9:31[SPEAKER_09]: It's just the food, the food is the biggest thing.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_09]: I don't want to be one of those ex-parties always going on about, or immigrants are probably the way we should use this in a month or two.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_09]: It's a dirty way, then in our parts or a laughable.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, like it's the food, and obviously the value that comes with it is well-bought.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, thank you.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_09]: It's on a low-level, really, like what you can get out there for the money that you can spend comparatively to the UK or the US or Canada where I don't know a lot of the listeners will be as well, but yeah, it's mainly that really, that's been what I'm a big estate and it's been, you know, obviously discovering parts of the new cultures to like that and going through like, you know, the nice touristy spots like the local 711's, big fun of those as well.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_09]: and a big fan of it as well.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously more of that really it's the food, the drink, it's the culture of it's been absolutely amazing.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_09]: I was very lucky in Vietnam same thing really, but I was very lucky while I was all seeing in Vietnam to be in the Nangu and Vietnam pro wrestling marooner a show there.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_09]: I was the wrestling show on a beach.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_09]: And obviously that sounds amazing, and it was amazing, but it was in the middle of it, like, I see which is the worst rainstorm that Angus ever had.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_09]: Wow.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if you're right, you show my videos up there there, Andrew, but there was a few floating around.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_09]: They did their right numbers wise, and it was just literally, like, these wrestlers trying to do moves and do dives to the outside, in this torrential outdoor, like, downfall with, like, it's beautiful backdrop.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_09]: There's a beach, there's palm trees in the background, but it was literally the most dangerous thing I've ever seen from that slumber.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_09]: You might just pull them off, you know, show them what's going on, and it worked out well.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_09]: So that was amazing to get to experience that and see a bit of a bit of a wrestling abroad too.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_09]: So obviously, Japan too, I plan to see that as well, but that was definitely a close to my heart for sure.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, for sure.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, obviously, I saw your pictures and videos of that and it did look fantastic.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_12]: Certainly something that you're not going to sort of like experience in many parts of the world.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_12]: Is it, especially though, wrestling on a beat in, you know, some kind of fucking monsoon or something.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it looks absolutely brilliant.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_12]: As far as grapple goes you guys have thought seem to be going from sort of strength to strength and you know always great shows great reviews shows and everything Can you cover sort of like the breadth and you know it's not just the main promotion You know you cover sort of like little especially on the weekend shows and stuff and and you know the the Indies and system like that burn
- 11:43[SPEAKER_12]: Some things that I did want to get into with you.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_12]: I know that like me a sort of a big Eddie Kingston fan Because we will be a sort of like chopping it up with a with our guests tonight and sort of like jumping from topics a topic from wrestling 2025 and you made these is combat this year after sort of like almost the year out was it in and for me felt like a bit of a whimper
- 12:05[SPEAKER_12]: I think it's fair to say, you know, we had the match with Big Bill and the tag team with Hawkins.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_12]: So it feels like we're getting more back to the old Eddie Kingston.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_12]: You know, back with Dave Promo's, and he's lead up to his match with Samo Jo and the match with Samo Jo.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_12]: But, well, what have you all been feelings on, sort of like Eddie Kingston coming back here at these past couple of months?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's just, what do you say big bill there?
- 12:27[SPEAKER_09]: What do you don't sense that?
- 12:28[SPEAKER_09]: Like, big bill was great.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_09]: And that much I want to see more big bill.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_09]: You've got a lot more than anything more.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'm disappointed in the only way that you can say, put it those seem like things are turning around, you know?
- 12:37[SPEAKER_09]: Like, it obviously, I think we can all see it in this performance.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_09]: It's even when it's been good, even like through the this Samoa Joe stuff, like I'll love the Max Us Week on Dynamite.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_09]: But even the promos, there was just something off when they did the face-to-face.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_09]: It just didn't quite seem like the full LED.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_09]: It felt a little bit like he was playing the heads.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_09]: And even some of his backstage promos, it always feels like it's like, all right, that was like, that would be the best of everything.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_09]: Then we took 32 takes, and that was the best one.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_09]: And it kind of weirdly cut off by through, because it really does feel like he's just not quite got into the full LED kings themselves.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_09]: And then even saying that, he can still go out there and have a match like he did with some old Joe last week.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_09]: So,
- 13:13[SPEAKER_09]: You know, he still had the kings at the end of the day and hopefully he's put them together.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_09]: So I was very critical of it early though.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_09]: Like if you're going to bring the kings back to it to a W, there should be a lot more like conference circumstances around it.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_09]: We all imagined it was going to be.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_09]: He was going to save the day and come after months or.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_09]: Do something and he just kind of turned up and he was hooked to that team partner and it just was so on the well and maybe now that we've seen a few more weeks of it Maybe a little bit more sympathetic to the idea of maybe not booking him in a big spot, but maybe he wasn't ready for a big spot You could then also ask the question well why bring him back at the time they brought him back well I think that's what's going on and I think hopefully depend on what happens in the obviously the UK this weekend What happens in the bill to build a well to him maybe we're gonna get something
- 13:59[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I kind of think with Eddie, I think it's kind of which is like what you said in our like, you know, coming off that major injury that he had, he uses May 2024 and he finally came back and then like, I think it's just a matter of like, I think it was just the easy decision to sort of pair him with him and sort of work him, wait, work his way back into things.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_07]: And the big deal match, well, what was it particularly a fan of that, but again, I was kind of looking at it from this standpoint when he came back, I'm like,
- 14:23[SPEAKER_07]: He eaten out for four years and changed and I'm pretty sure like it's trying to get his You know get his wits about him and everything like that.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_07]: And I know Eddie he's going to be working like the uh It's his last year on the Indies next year.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_07]: And I think he's going to stop November 26th.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_07]: So to your point I think maybe he'll probably see the see some old signs of that etiquette should be saw prior to like As he starts to you know get more comfortable with the rig.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_07]: I'm pretty sure like from his standpoint him being his age having a major injury like that.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_07]: He's probably the master like
- 14:54[SPEAKER_07]: I made one wrong move in this ring and, you know what I'm saying?
- 14:57[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, even though what happened for him, that was kind of most over-free accident.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_07]: You know, the suplexed outside like that wasn't, you know, anything he did or his, or his end, but, um, yeah, I kind of feel the same as you've been, you know, like, I think over time we'll kind of see the Eddie Kingston Aggies we all, you know, we haven't grown too much to see.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_09]: It comes to a place to love it coming from a place of knowing what he's capable of and what we want to see and that was not teamer with Hawke and that was not some of the book We saw it in the early days.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_09]: He belongs with the top guys.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_09]: He belongs in there with Joe.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_09]: He belongs that up up and make card levels So yeah, let's hope the Tony currencies that as well because that's always more what he does.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_09]: He's seeing the same way we do But again more encouraging the last couple of weeks.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_07]: I would say I've been an actually one to follow up one there because you we're missing a hood Has it has it felt like something like isn't
- 15:43[SPEAKER_07]: But I feel like this is what I want to know of you feel like this is what does it feel like something is it like clicking for you Would hook like it if it feels like I say over the last like year.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, especially since he came back from his year's discussion situation But it kind of feels like he's he's not
- 16:00[SPEAKER_07]: being himself on television.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_07]: It kind of feels like he's trying to play the idea of what he think hook is instead of like presenting himself as, you know, because like, and even if you compare it to his initial coming out party in A&W, like when he had the, as the, as the young you say the or like, you know, it doesn't feel, it doesn't feel like that, that's there anymore.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_09]: No, definitely.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, that's happened over years, and we've all kind of, the blooms come off the rose with hook.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_09]: And like, yeah, the idea I wanted to do something with them, but like, we had really used it at home.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_09]: We've got Daniel Garcia on them.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_09]: Like, we didn't need to know that stable with an undeling who's like, the little shitty one who removes the runs of the letter.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_09]: Like, it's just not the role.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_09]: It doesn't seem like at this point anyway, the role he was born to play.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_09]: And not really a role he probably set him up for.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_09]: I never believed, hookin' at the king, Stimbo goin' down the bar together, did you?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_09]: Like, you never look like the blue tag out together.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_09]: Hook and Samoa Jell are kind of feel the same way as well and they've just not really built it They've not there's there's a story and there's a way you could maybe get to this point But I just don't think you did it and like the idea of hook being the one to cost hang-manned It's just a title when they've got really no real like relationship with each other like it just if felt miscast from the start And I think most people in the blue the most charitable and the most positive idea will be would probably can see that and it's over time to see if you can make it work and
- 17:19[SPEAKER_09]: Like I feel the same way I'm bigger Samoa Joe fan of all time, but he's in a role like this weird cowardly heel jumping or much orders perfect for Joe, but he's still Samoa Joe, so he's going to find a way to pull it off, that we feel the same way about Hulk and Matt so sure, I'm not sure he's got the chops for it, but there's one we can prove he does.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_12]: Thanks everyone who's joining us in the chat tonight.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_12]: Interesting question here from one of the chat members.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_12]: Do you think Eddie is going to be tiding to mocks a downfall with the, uh, the job right?
- 17:45[SPEAKER_12]: Obviously, other teams in that aren't they?
- 17:47[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I think I'm probably not alone.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_09]: That's how I pitch it up.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_09]: And if you're the same under you when he came back, I just assumed the death fathers are going to be on top.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_09]: And here he comes Eddie to save the day.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_09]: We can get my own studies viewed with the Samoa Joe faction, which feels like cosplay death fathers at this point, the Joe riders.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just, yeah, Joe riders.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_09]: I'm seeing W's.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I kind of feel exactly where I think, I think.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_07]: I think after the cotton in the classic was that fully concludes, probably like I said, I could see it happened in like early 20s, when you see it, I think that we'll see some semblance of the death rioters kind of pushing moxley to the side a little bit, and then maybe that'll parlay into, you know.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_07]: And Eddie Kingston having in his issue with Claudio and then that sort of, you know, we just went back back into him and Martin reunite.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_07]: Because I mean, like, for Martin, for Martin, for Martin to be in a position that he is like, I always make sure to get Martin's credit.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_07]: Because like for somehow for him to not have been off a WTV for like any super extensive amount of time.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_07]: He doesn't come off to me as somebody like, I'm like, God damn, boxing on TV again.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_07]: Like, it doesn't, it doesn't feel like that.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_07]: Like, even despite the multiple words, how do we're as in, you know, him always, then on TV, it doesn't, I'm that tired of John Moffley, the character on television.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_07]: So like, I can, I think there's a lot of room for him to make his way back and sit a baby face side of the spectrum.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_07]: I actually think it would be wonders for you know, him and Eddie Kingston.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_07]: If they were to get back and see when he's out of the second.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_12]: I think even as a mock super fun, I think at the start of the year, there was a bit of... Yeah, I was going to say that.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, that's right.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_12]: I think they obviously turned it around with their hangman match, but yeah, the start of the year, I was thinking, oh my god, we need even, I need a break from mock, but yeah, it's completely turned it around and like, at a stellar year since then.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_09]: Russell of the air pretty much since that day, which is funny.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_09]: You can make an argument.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_09]: There was a point that in the year where we were all going to say the value of the story or the where story in wrestling.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think we were the most of the mocks that is where Russell of the year or the types of thoughts or creeping in our head.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_09]: What I'm telling around the second half of the year, like that riders was incredible with that payoff with Hangman and Boxley this story is telling right now with the death fathers been brilliant as well.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_09]: Like, you know, probably the rest of the air at this point.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_12]: I think I'm speaking everything.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's been fantastic.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_12]: So far.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_07]: I had completely forgot about that until both of y'all just mentioned that like that period I remember when Because I remember when he was going out of a swerve and I was like, man, somebody please get the title off his man But like I think that just most of Lee's crees to like how Mar just said that he kind of turned it around And then midpoint I kind of forgot about that whole period I think she when I was like somebody if you could just fucking title off him you need to
- 20:26[SPEAKER_12]: Well, that's what that's a testament to our good job.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_12]: He's doing that and you're sort of like, you've sort of like forgotten sort of like about those earlier few months.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_12]: But then before we let me go, we couldn't have you on here with that talk in about CM Punk, you know, obviously you die hard.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_12]: I'll await from, you know, back in the day for CM Punk, but
- 20:45[SPEAKER_12]: How do you feel watching him this year, you know, he's sort of tech-pied WrestleMania main event, the rematch we'd seen, you know, taking that Saudi money finally, you know, sucking a blood-covid deco or whatever, okay, so, you know, become back of AJ Lee and I'll let out, as, well, I assume he's not your favorite wrestler anymore, but your former favorite wrestler, how do you think he's
- 21:09[SPEAKER_09]: No, I would definitely, I'd probably say, he's a favorite wrestler, maybe, like I say, not, you're favorite to watch at the minute.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I think that's the thing with him being a favorite wrestler.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_09]: I think we always, I think we were always consistent over a crap all, at least I hope, check the tapes.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_09]: Like, you've got to keep your favorite wrestlers at arm's length, they're not your friends.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_09]: You know, and they're not people you want to hang out with, and you probably shouldn't put all your hopes and dreams in them.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_09]: Now, at the same time, like, as you've gone even further this year, then I would have expected.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, yeah, I like he is just,
- 21:36[SPEAKER_09]: At this point you'll just do NF in the Triple H says he's got his Ando Bazaar's as an he needs using him as a purpose to do whatever he wants.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe at some point we'll get the real Phil Brooks and they'll get some kind of malthamble.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe this is the real Phil Brooks like Advigate's an original boy, but we definitely talked about on grapple the past baby Matty Coindard in the fairs place that being like this voice of the voices and being like this rebel who talked to power and all I was always a gimmick
- 21:58[SPEAKER_09]: Like it's always been a gimmick, and now this is a gimmick, whatever you're doing now.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_09]: It's all everything's a way I can wrestle in, isn't it?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_09]: And who maybe some of us saw Phil Brooks was at some point in our lives, and we all, you know, a joke, but we all probably drank the cool lady at some point.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_09]: kind of come to fruition more years now.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_09]: I still think part of it's a bit of a long game, part of it's still, you know, the best way to get to his haters and the best way to get to the people who, you know, were mad at him or the people who don't like him, was to just suck it up, end up with a break.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_09]: What's going to annoy them more than just, you know, doing whatever to the reset and getting through and not selling it and not admitting that.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_09]: You can't live all the materials being given, you can't be living.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_09]: You can't really think that that back and forth with Cena this year where he did the impression of Cena's one of the greatest greatest promos of his life.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_09]: That's true.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_09]: The work he's doing this year is some of the best work of his life.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_09]: I'd like to think he doesn't really believe that.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_09]: And he's just saying it to kind of the stick it to the haters and not let them win, boy.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's confident even I imagined and yeah, I think it's, you know, it's some people's mind seems to put them over the edges for as being a whole of fame I get into the observer whole of fame this year, but for me it has maybe lessened is over low career So in some of the week with it is done over the last year and seems perfectly happy with I think that
- 23:10[SPEAKER_09]: The Drew story is probably the one lone positive back in stay-about concert running to be the be back so far and yeah That's a really interesting thing with Cody or Roman or something like that coming up It's probably just gonna be this auto pilot happy to be there feel happy to take the Saudi blood when he has you say Fill in yeah, even even as you were fans of them, but still pessimistic about Phil Brooks the man or kind of you know Kind of half-laft and half expected some of his a his antics out of him.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_09]: It has even surprised me.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_09]: I'd say
- 23:39[SPEAKER_12]: Do you think we're ever going to get a meltdown punk or is just going to carry on the years for next couple of years.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_12]: Well, he said he said the other days he's far off retiring, and he said, who knows might get another five years.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_12]: I remember this for eight.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_07]: I think punk is probably in a long game when I say the long game, I mean he's probably going to try to tickle me an XT more sharp, because it's not like I can kind of see him transition and say that rule.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_07]: No, the only time that I ever, like throughout this world where I thought
- 24:08[SPEAKER_07]: that there was a chance we'd be like a glimpse of that old seal Pong's when he was working with J.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_07]: So, especially that promo went, so Kim and J kept doing the whole, the youth thing, your Pong's face the whole time, but we were going back and forth and then especially when he sat in a nice man event when he hit the neck breaker.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_07]: And then he went the other way and you could tell Pong kind of got like, I mean, I'm guessing that was just like a natural reaction to kind of like, wake J up and kick him upside down real quick, but that was probably like the closest that I thought that we'd be doing.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_07]: that we would see if he's the old, the old scene of punk if you will, but what I will say is that I think, and I know Beno and I know you Martin could probably, you know, test it as well.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_07]: It's like, you can tell who he is in a restaurant working with versus when he's not invested.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_07]: Like when he was working with Gunther, you can tell that he was passionate about it and he was into it Because he sounded like he was invested when he was working when he's doing the thing with bra and bra He sounds in a resting when he's going back and forth with Seth Rollins He sounds like he's in a resting with Cody sounds like he's in a resting Roman sounds like he's in a resting And then you have the certain programs like he's in there like with a Logan Paul or you know He's in there with a J.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_07]: So he seems like he's kind of like in and out and it depending on the scenario Depending on the crowd.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_07]: He's like, you know, he's either in or he's out
- 25:24[SPEAKER_09]: sure.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, definitely.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, completely.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_12]: Sorry, but no.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_09]: That was just going to double down.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not really.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_09]: I think that's definitely been a parent, especially when he kicked Joe, so in the head.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_09]: And we definitely wasn't there.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't happy that.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_09]: That was going to shit.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_09]: No, I said, I'll be so pleased to post together and I'll have been these seem to be.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_09]: But like at the same time, I've got the same time.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_09]: I think I agree with Andrew, I just think he's going to take the money until the end of the contract and at the end of the day, this is a man driven by Grudge and the Grudge is always going to be more important than what's in front of anyone.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_09]: If we add another meltdown to answer your question, I don't think he'd win.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_09]: I think with A, W, and his mind, the one by leaving the way he didn't do in the way he did.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_09]: I think the way he wins now is to get NXT or is to get Churchill, show Michael's job always like that.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_09]: I think he's going to have enough self-control, but I want to see it, I'd love to see it, and imagine the news cycle if it did happen.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_09]: It keeps us in business for a couple of months, so things across it does happen.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, well, I think it's cross for you, Beno, and before we let you get out of here, I'll always find such a chance to you, mate.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, you have a sort of like a great holiday period.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_12]: You're going to be out there for like actual Christmas day, then.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'll be out here for Christmas day and back today.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_09]: So I'll be watching films with you pretty much for the Christmas day and back today.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_09]: And then I'll be home for New Year.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_09]: That's the real Christmas.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_09]: January 4th, that's the real Christmas day.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_09]: I'm a little bored of that.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_09]: So I've got that.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_09]: So to come on, yeah, I'll be in Belfast in a little bit a little bit across January.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_09]: So yeah, can't wait.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I get planes, trains and all mobiles on, yeah, so that's a proper question for you.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, counts for us.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, but before we let it out, yeah, any folks you want to get out there, obviously, everyone's sort of like, big fan of Glapple, what you stuff have you got coming over there, so like, holiday slash Christmas period.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, obviously we've got our grappies and crappies coming up with our usual year-end awards, a bit of a five-to-one, a tealist at the weekend as well on air.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_09]: I think we're talking the best Christmas food and also the best Christmas film, so that will be at a top of the conversation this week.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, kind of the business usual, obviously, do you take a little bit of well-end time off at the minute just to take some care of some personal stuff for plenty of people filling in, which is great to see and believe in.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_09]: You want what we want in January, so we'll be back
- 27:29[SPEAKER_09]: reunion, the report of that and Andrew keep an eye on you to damage mate up, we'll be reaching out to yourself as well.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_09]: I'll be on again soon, mate.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_09]: So yeah, we'll have all that coming up.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_09]: So yeah, if you're a fan of these guys hopefully you'll see both their happy faces on the grapple feeds, just search a grapple, whatever podcast to sold, no way, GRAPBL.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_09]: Excellent.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_12]: Cheers, Benelle, mate.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_12]: Have a great Christmas and catch you in the new year.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_09]: Great to be, but
- 27:58[SPEAKER_12]: Always great chatting to Ben out there.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_12]: It feels like you've been to ages since I've sort of done a podcast We've been considering how many years we did sort of like podcast ever and stuff like that ever I don't remember y'all bought me on the British restaurant experience What was that there was that was that was that?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_07]: Was that 2020?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_12]: uh... oh it was uh... was it just price of the pandemic or it's a pandemic was just started in our uh... i i i i i i think that was pandemic because we i mean it was the the brick martell
- 28:29[SPEAKER_07]: Some of you's watching some matches, some WWE have showed the WWE's watching me, you know, in Jamesy, I can never, I think that was 2020 when Jesus Christ.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_07]: That was a long time ago.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, Andrew, it was a show from 1990, too, about eight years before you were born.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_12]: Jesus Christ.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_12]: Like, oh, let's get Andrew Thompson on the show to talk about a wrestling show that I've been referring to, even, like, in the middle of the show, yeah.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, great chance to Beno, Andrew, this train keeps rolling on because our next guests are in the wingswains.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_12]: Come on, another cigar to Andrew, this is one of my favorite shows of the past couple of years.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_12]: It sort of came out and I know where that's sort of like not really seem much about it and then become a big, big tram.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_12]: Perhaps more for the band around side of the wrestling, but the wrestling talk is great as well.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, when fans usually think of double way, they think of on Anderson.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_12]: But for us, we've got the double A of Ali and Annie from... Oh, so welcome for the show, guys.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_03]: Hi.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks so much for having us.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_12]: No thanks for coming on and happy holiday.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_12]: So we're missing a member of the team tonight.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_12]: There was suddenly no Lyra.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_12]: Obviously, you've been in there off for this episode.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_12]: I see.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_04]: You're hanging out with us.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: We're staging a coup.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_03]: She's out.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like that she had to be in the office, so she wasn't 100% sure and she'd be able to give this as much attention as it might need.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to do our best.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_04]: We are better, it's a reason, but we'll do our best.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're on the clock, of course.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_03]: So we're just abusing work from home.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_12]: What is the finding working from him?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_12]: If you can't abuse, you won't prove it.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_12]: I think one of the favorite shows of the year, and I've got to say I was in London all this weekend, and it was going back on the train.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_12]: Um, Sunday night and I had downloaded the latest show and there and the train was packed because obviously a lot of people going down to London for the holidays and everything I was literally creasing up trying to laugh because I'm got all these people around me.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_12]: My last thing you mean going what what so funny What you're listening to and I was like, uh, oh, he's kind of like this wrestling podcast and choose like, oh, right Is it funny and I was like, oh, um, yeah, it's got a voice not about wrestling really.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_12]: It's not a lot of
- 30:54[SPEAKER_12]: As I, basically, this girl's got co-workers retiring in the house of the chimpanzee.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_04]: It's not real but still be a thing to call our rest of the podcast.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_04]: Not really.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_12]: But that's why everyone loves it, I think, yeah, that's why it's so great because you guys obviously got really, so like you need can completely different take on wrestling and then also, you know, you guys have got such good chemistry together in the banner and everything just works so well, so it's like to the start of the show.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_12]: In fact, if I myself sort of like enjoying those moments more than sort of like the wrestling talk, it's that it's that makes sense to you, yeah.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're actually asked in hearing that when people get to our actual opinions, they're like, oh,
- 31:39[SPEAKER_04]: They love this energy we bring to those of them.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_12]: I say Lee is in the chat center, she's my singer's girl.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_12]: We're missing you on the show as well, Lee.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_12]: But...
- 31:51[SPEAKER_12]: What do you guys want to talk about?
- 31:53[SPEAKER_12]: Anyway, do you want to talk and know you guys will be talking about sort of like swears on the nival main event charisma?
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely, yep, love.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_12]: The moment when you had fun with yourselves, mocks was all time ham-run, but the thing I did want to get into was obviously the TNAAMC deal because I am also a huge interview with the vampire.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_12]: That's exciting.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't even watched any of the other shows.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_04]: I just feel like superior to them without even having tried to view them.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_12]: It's not what it was going to say if they did do a crossover.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_12]: It should be with the character's role-maker and last year should definitely be appearing on Dynamite rather than sort of like the main event.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_12]: This sort of like scraps out to them and sort of like if they did do sort of like a crossover would Dynamite.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, sorry, with TNA.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I only want the lesser figures on TNA.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_04]: If Sam Reed and Jacob Anderson get to go to TNA, I'm going to flip out.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_04]: You'll be hearing it for months.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: It'd be crazy.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: Just the indignity of your favorite TV series, the dual wrestling thing, but go on TNA.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's just like, feels like God's spending in your face right there, you know?
- 33:12[SPEAKER_07]: Like, as we, as we, like, you know, at the back end of 2025, like, how do you guys look at your podcast progression and your podcast success just over this last, this last year?
- 33:23[SPEAKER_07]: Like, how do you guys feel about things and like, what do you look forward to in 2026?
- 33:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good question.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_03]: We interviewed the young bucks right at the end of last year, so link right at the New Year, basically.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_03]: So that was pretty huge for us, which is a very weird, very weird.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's been a good year.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: We got to go to all in Texas this year and we got to meet a bunch of the people on our podcast network and then a bunch of listeners too.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: And that was so fun.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: And you just sort of like, I felt very like, oh, I didn't.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't notice that we've been building community this whole time, but we have it, it's so nice.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it looks like the night's the sun.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_07]: Is that one of the most exciting things about, you know, cultivating the community that you guys have is like seeing individuals in real life.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_07]: It's like, oh, these are like, yeah, these people, like, really, you know, they pay attention that we'll be doing it.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_07]: Here we say, like, is that probably one of, I would say, most of the top things for you guys is like seeing like the, the results of your hard work and seeing individuals like, you know, careful with what you got to say.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_04]: for sure, it was incredibly nice and incredibly surreal.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_04]: And I think like just kind of drove home something that we also experienced just online where the nicest thing about anyone saying they listen to us is we have people who listen to us and are like, I don't most of the podcast I try to listen to or people I try to read, like don't really seem to understand like what I'm interested in wrestling for, but you guys are expressing what I'm interested in.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_04]: And that's the nicest thing.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_04]: feeling, oh good, it's good that some fellow minded freaks are getting to have a little bit of representation out there.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_03]: Totally, it sometimes very alarming that people like some of those people quote them to say, and stuff, and it's like, oh, I don't know if you should listen to it, I'm just scared.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you should listen to it.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, our friend Chai Mothboy in the chat, so 2012 I was in our inaugural Best Fogs tournament.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: And we did a much fairness.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: Just bringing the most sober-minded wrestling analysis to the world.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to have to think about that, because I was just thinking about the 2026 Best Fogs, and I was like, well, a lot of the bonds are the same.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to have to think about how to, I think,
- 35:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're going to do Connie rules, like round Robin and set out of a elimination round.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_03]: So see what that breaks with the mix, you know?
- 35:50[SPEAKER_12]: And that's what I'd make sure so, so like unique and stuff, you sort of like tell off into things like that and stuff like, you know, maybe ham and the little games and sort of stuff you play and so like people who might be tuning into this show tonight, I would you sort of like describe your show, I would you would describe it so like new listeners.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think we, yeah, we've said that our brand is like, horny English major.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think so.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's just like a lot of dirty jokes.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_04]: So we're due to narrative analysis, I guess.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think we'd like for it to be a bit of a toss up.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_04]: So some weeks, you'll come on and you'll hear hopefully a fairly astute analysis of something that you might not hear on another podcast.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_04]: We can't, we can't really assess the moves that well, but we are fairly good at and expressing why we think a storyline isn't working.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then some weeks you come on and it's just ungodly repulsive jokes.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_04]: The whole, we have nothing smart to say.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_04]: And you shouldn't know before you show up, what's the case.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_04]: But then also on a more, you know, concrete practical level, it's an AWS recap show.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_04]: So if you watch the product, or if you don't, wait for it, you can just get a sense of what's going on week to week, or how we perceive what's going on.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_12]: Well, well, what's going to say is one of my favorite things that you guys do, you sort of like taking sort of like maybe stories that come out and people sort of maybe sort of like not looked into too much steps and then you guys like yeah, but what's the main story behind you and why and the real questions getting us a distinctly remember, um, was it, um,
- 37:39[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_03]: He never did.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_04]: I hate to, I hate to, you know, like, um, paint with a broad brush, but I've never met a lazy, you're a bunch of journalists than the journalists in the wrestling space.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: We have no interest in tracking down interesting and perplexing stories at all.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's almost just like carrying off.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's even a stay at WWE.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_04]: I don't give a shit.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_04]: You have to do it.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_04]: Store in your hands.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_04]: Focus on.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: like a magic here in Stingson is living in a tent in Darby's yard to like like be on the wrestling grind and just be like, okay, all of us.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_04]: No, if you follow up, I have to respond with DM from Karyan.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_12]: Sorry, Gary.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_12]: Did we discover that Dobby was like bleeding dogs in the same house or something like that?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_12]: Fuck, I don't want to.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he had a bunch of pugs, his brother's pugs, and there were a lot of puppies.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know if these weren't too unconnected stories.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: But no one asked if the pugs were still there.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't think we were connected, but no one asked the pugs.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's literally the closest I've ever come to trying to get into like a wrestler's DMC, right?
- 38:59[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, do we have to become journalists who are not?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like, I feel like wrestling should be so lucky as to get us in their DMs because it's like, we're not going to be asking about the thing you don't want to talk about.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_04]: You're going to be asking something that you didn't think any one would ever ask.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_12]: That was a present.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_12]: You'd graduate from Bellevue's backyard, wrestling academy and receive a focus.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's a lie gift.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_12]: Okay.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_12]: You're good.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_04]: You're good.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_04]: I like that a lot of thought.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_04]: You could look out into like the world of wrestlers and know who trained in Dartmouth and city just because they travel with a little pug everywhere.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's transparency.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_12]: there you go and do you need some word with the higher ups and fight for these are the real words that need to be asked and the real story is that people want me to know about as I try to pass a lot for sure thank you so much we can answer this even if it's let's say it's never too late to grab the mistake
- 39:59[SPEAKER_12]: It's, I think, don't think some, been doing dark matches or something free, that we were also referring.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_12]: If we seem to do a Cody and come out with a, sort of, like, full-grown pug, then we know, um, yeah, that's come from that we're going to do it.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_04]: And then that'll be our guide for a life.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, guys, you saw coming up to this all the end of the time on Freydan Jew, but before we get our next destination, but thank you so much, guys.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_12]: Always a blast talking to you guys, and we did a, when you came and helped me out on the charity show before, um, two last questions, though, any major holiday plans and, um, plugs for any guys who, um, suddenly not a chance to take your podcast out.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm sorry, I just want to say a question you know.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe we're both like we're going to do the damn plug.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, why don't you pause what we have coming up in?
- 40:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so we're going to be on Trish and Sarah for their Trish and Sarah holiday.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_03]: That comes out.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think on the 23rd.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_03]: So that's an exciting crossover episode where we really drag them down to our level.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_03]: So we can't wait out.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, now we really, we're pretty loose.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's, appropriately so yeah, and our regular podcast comes out every Sunday.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to take a little holiday break, but it'll be on- Jack is out this weekend and then after that we'll be on a bit of a break.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_04]: But you can find us on all the all the usual places at TunnelTalkPod.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm going back to the East Coast for the holidays.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm excited about driving.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm excited about that.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_04]: She'll be at my house tomorrow.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_04]: Great excitement.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_04]: Wait.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_12]: I hope there's some over last.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_12]: Happy Holidays, thank you so much guys and yeah, looking forward to the show with Truchen Sarah and yeah, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year, thank you so much guys, thank you
- 41:58[SPEAKER_12]: Oh my god, those guys are fucking out of green glass.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_12]: I'm not lying, Andrew.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_12]: Obviously, oh my favorite show and stuff.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_12]: But when that sort of pops in the pod feed, they're fucking absolutely brilliant.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_12]: So yeah, if you've never checked my show out, it's like that except more of the same sort of like and yeah, absolutely brilliant stuff.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_12]: as we wait for our sort of like next guest to come on, um, so we're talking about seeing a punk earlier on to you.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_12]: Is there anyone else that sort of like you feel like N-O-D-O, so we're getting a lot of pelts and stuff into it.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_12]: But how do you think these years gone?
- 42:32[SPEAKER_12]: Because like I said, sort of like our sort of checked out a bit around WrestleMania and I've sort of been doing bits and then obviously he was a big entrance and he's sort of like a lot of stuff, um,
- 42:41[SPEAKER_12]: You know, he obviously gets a big reaction when he comes in, but as far as like in ring goes, he never really self had it for me, so like, so like a big main event guy, because it was like the old scene of, oh, is an entrance and then the bell goes and then there, or am I being too harsh on him here?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I, I think it's fair critiques on both sides of the out.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_07]: Um, like when I look at this 2025, you know, we just really talking about that.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, go back to, you know, he had the got his main event, uh, WrestleMania.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_07]: Um, and you know that, I, I think that was like the, um, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
- 43:17[SPEAKER_07]: when he initially came back, I was like the big things around him, he's just come back and his return is that if he was going to get the main event and he found the guy that he knew it was the night one version, but we're all the still got his main event, you know he got his world title win and some of his land begins to go with their guy catch him on and you know, Saudi Arabia thing.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_07]: The Saudi thing was so
- 43:36[SPEAKER_07]: He rightfully got called out for that and it was more so I was more so interested to see his response to being called out and I think you can kind of tell It was kind of like what Beno said that competition is like in it for the like the the long game at WWE like I don't think this is gonna be some Like it all ends with him, you know wrestling.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_07]: I think that he'll end up trying to parlay that into being
- 44:02[SPEAKER_07]: some type of executive, whether that just, I mean, it could be a symbol that's having, you know, running an XC.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_07]: But as far as it's his year, it's just, I mean, I don't think it was bad per se.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_07]: I think it was fine for who put this been, the whole Saudi thing.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_07]: I think that kind of clouds a lot of stuff, because I think just for so many years, a lot of people have always looked at that pump to be that like outlier or the individual who speaks out against certain things and like, I think it's because that's the,
- 44:35[SPEAKER_07]: the reason why that bothered a lot of people is because he's taking that stance for so long and I think he will have grown accustomed to expecting him to have a certain take in a certain
- 44:49[SPEAKER_07]: What when it comes to things that such to for him to be on one particular side of the hour versus the other, and I guess for people to see him cave in like that, it kind of drew a lot of people back from him as well.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_07]: And like where regardless of whether whatever the situation was like, I know Triple H, I didn't expect he was like, well, you know, he's an adult now, he's grown up now, you know that that that old.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_07]: That whole thing, but again, what were you constantly presidential self as an individual who rebels against the powers that be?
- 45:20[SPEAKER_07]: And you take this harsh stance, and people start to believe in you, they're going to constantly expect that from you.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_07]: So once you take this other stance and you present it as if, oh, well, you know, things change, you know, grow up and maximize E, like, I mean, in some cases that can be true, but also, again, in this progress and space that we're in, when you have people put in that much equity into you and they expect these things from your real-life persona and not even just the individual that you play on TV.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_07]: That can be this hard into a lot of people, so I can definitely see if I
- 45:58[SPEAKER_12]: yeah cuz i was i always obviously enjoyed him on the indies and you know it was great sitting back in a w and i enjoyed his initial w e-roll but it was just
- 46:06[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, and I think Renault put it perfectly earlier.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_12]: It was like, you know, perhaps he was playing a character role.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_12]: You know, it was this, you know, the voice of the voice lesson, you know, the sort of like straight edge loops.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_12]: So it was a character, all this time, because I mean, nothing but me was more second in than seeing him sort of like backtrack on the Saturday stuff.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_12]: And obviously, yeah, he's with the company now and he's got like a contract and everything that he's probably got to honor or whatever.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_12]: But it just seemed like, I don't know, it just seemed like,
- 46:37[SPEAKER_12]: where's the guy from fun with you?
- 46:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_12]: He would be hating you doing this sort of stuff now.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_12]: but yeah, I suppose, you know, when he talks and air the end of the day and so I, and he didn't do it.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_12]: So like, Marks has said to me, you know, I don't give me all that cause I know you've only come back cause you're running out and when he's sort of thinking and I suppose I'll never sort of like true words is spoken.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_12]: But, as far as Marks caught you guys, do you think you still got in the ring?
- 47:03[SPEAKER_12]: So I think like him.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_07]: And all of you, yeah, I think I think he's still got in the ring.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_07]: I can't take that away from, I mean, I mean, I'm in some of your personal preference.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I'm too much for me.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I can't take that.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_07]: you know, going to ring it all the thing it depends.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_07]: Again, on the, um,
- 47:21[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I don't, I obviously from the promo side of it, I think when it comes to the in-ring portion of it, I think he just tries to grow up in, you know, present the best that he can at the age that he is, because I mean, the thing about punk matches now, when I watch him, it's most of the big matches that he's in, it's kind of like, like, that I hope he'll, like, not that I expect him to get hurt, but like, I know that his body's been through, like a lot of wear and tear, so it like adds a little bit more um,
- 47:51[SPEAKER_07]: him, the idea of him getting hurt is like, that's not what I'm saying, but I'm telling him out like, as far as him and the where to that he put on his body, and to, I guess, try to see him go out there and try to, you know, cultivate some of the old, maybe even from five years ago, three or four years ago, to try to see him, you know, parlay that
- 48:20[SPEAKER_07]: Because Brian is, you know, he does do a lot of um.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_07]: physical things like in terms of like yeah like it's as far as it's like the the just the way the bra goes about sort of his in-ring work like I'm in a rest of the sea like how much like the physicality that he then uses every god to see him pump and like how they sort of go about all that like this is a sort of toned down for this this one on one match because I do know it's like even when um that you suck some small like even like in a war games or something like that when I see bra's every how he handles
- 48:53[SPEAKER_07]: handles him with a certain care, then like with another wrestler, he'll just follow and just let him have it, but like a part, you get to it, they kind of ease up all of them.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_07]: Just the tab, they just make sure that things don't go left or anything like that, but yeah.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I mean, I mean, I guess that point is kind of like another word a little bit, because I mean, he did have to have them to seal a matter to you.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_07]: Mag guitar, and I think that was
- 49:17[SPEAKER_07]: the best match on that show that should smoke everything on that show that was one of the best matches that WWE presented all year that year probably the best match at WWE presented that year that year so I'm not guess my calmness kind of like another word I guess when I when I bring that up but yeah I thought fun still going to ring yeah I like the match yeah with a we're going for it some is going to
- 49:37[SPEAKER_12]: I suppose also another sort of big story that we can sort of like, a tron is that AJ Styles announced obviously this year's all about John Cena's retirement.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_12]: But AJ Styles and obviously that made me feel so old and new.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_12]: So remember it's like AJ coming up into like ring around R&T and A and stuff like that and I was a big fan of those.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_12]: Especially when he's come over to the UK when he was still rocking the short hair.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_12]: We already had all the tattoos down the side and stuff like that.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, so it's wild to think that he's going to be sort of like retiring after so many years.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_12]: And it's like,
- 50:06[SPEAKER_12]: Why also think how long he's been in WWE now as well?
- 50:09[SPEAKER_12]: So it's interesting to see what they do with AJ next year.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_12]: Surely he's going to have a big match in TNA.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_12]: You would have saw it.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I think so.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I think so.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 50:26[SPEAKER_07]: on the ANC, they be sure.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, you have a thought so, because I think he's always, he's always, I remember, they had a show local to me and done cast through a 1PW and it was when the pack was on the come up and then he had a sort of like proving grandma to the AJ on that and then they did the same thing with us frame Red Pro.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_12]: So AJ's always been a good sort of like barometer of whether you, you know, you good enough to go to that next level.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_12]: So I mean, I mean, you know, Leon Slate is going to be jumping at the bit to be sort of like having sort of like a proper program with AJ
- 50:56[SPEAKER_07]: I got to give you proper credit because I remember when I first, when I was doing it, when I was like Sicily doing interviews, I remember one of the people that you, yeah, shout out to Chris.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, so what's up, Chris?
- 51:10[SPEAKER_07]: I ain't seen Chris in the minivan.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_07]: But I remember you and pulling to me in the direction of this before TNA this is my first time hearing about Leon and I remember Martin had DMV because like you should check out this dude Namely all slater think Leon was like 19 at the time It's probably like six things like that.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah He was he was definitely in his teens.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_07]: I remember Martin and he was like you should you should reach out to him and see if y'all can do it interview
- 51:37[SPEAKER_07]: and Martin's sort of got me a head on the A-ball on the Oscillator, so it's been kind of cool to see his journey and like, where he's at right now, and it's said like do it, but whenever I kind of like interviews and I'm hearing like a TNA wrestler speak about like, what they think is like next up.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_07]: they always said like all of them all.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_07]: I was like I did a show yesterday talking about the other day and we was talking about like WWE.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_07]: It was like joking about WWE's doing like the most obvious by contract.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_12]: Well, they're still supposed to be a parent in red premise stuff as well.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, he got any things and stuff like he did he did get pulled from that WXW show to put the scene as final match.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_07]: And like, you know, like Leon Russell that did lie to the neighbor's on NXT on the tape show last night.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_07]: And then now he's going to be in one of the headlining matches at the New Year's Eve was special on January 6th.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_07]: He's going to be challenging for the NXT Championship.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_07]: as a TNA wrestler.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_07]: So like, I know, right?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_07]: I know, right?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_07]: So like, when I'm seeing that, I'm like, you can tell that WWE, they got the eyes on the end.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_07]: The new Carlos Silva, he said the president Carlos Silva, TNA president.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_07]: He said some crazy in the interview.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_07]: Um, he was like, uh,
- 52:53[SPEAKER_07]: I think it was on off the ropes, the podcast, and he said that if a teenage wrestler wants to get the WWE, he'll do his best to make sure that they get there.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm like, yeah, I'm like you.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_07]: So the only reason I said that's crazy.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, those comments were made before the AMC deal was announced, but he was hinting at some type of television deal.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_07]: But still, even with that thought process, and I'm like, do you have...
- 53:20[SPEAKER_07]: your own television product that is about to kick off in 2026.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, again, even though this wasn't announced yet, but he was still hinting that something was coming.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_07]: You would think that you would be of this mess and like, I gotta retain my people, like my top talent, I need to make sure everybody stays, because I mean, you can't.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_07]: You can't keep, I'm not saying you can't rely on the talent to change, but you should also want to make sure that you got top people of your own who want to stay in TNA, and they're not looking like, oh man, well, you know, I'm gonna do a couple years here, and I'm over there, and I mean, even though they can still cross back over back before you could still, you know, want them to be under contract to your students' company.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_12]: Definitely definitely.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's much think I saw him in a nightclub.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_12]: I'm sort of like five minutes away from my ass when it was 15 years old wrestling So I'm gonna power it away But I'm drew Joining us next our next guests is open there in the room now from post wrestling and his regular appearances on the SmackDown reviews and of course The well-policy Most Christmas
- 54:26[SPEAKER_12]: It's everyone's favorite Man in your favorite.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_12]: It's Mr. Neil Swan again.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_12]: Neil.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_12]: Welcome to the show mate.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_12]: Very good.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_12]: Happy holidays.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Merry Christmas guys.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: Look at it.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: There's 100.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: 100 in my man.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: I miss 100.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_00]: I miss 100.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's everything's great.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_00]: But I miss you.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give it to me.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wannand.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's great, Jackster, he's tremendous.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's wonderful, but see on some of these big weekends where there's multiple PLAs and stuff, I miss, I miss, I miss.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: The way we carved up some of those some of the work those weekends for writing on the site and something else,
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's good to see you there.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's great to see you.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: But here I was just, and I can't agree more.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like Leon Slater is definitely buoyant for WWE.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think one of the real plus marks that he got is probably just this past weekend.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: He basically kind of rescued the march from that bot.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, very, very quick thinking to go for a quick kind of...
- 55:35[SPEAKER_00]: I know, right.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, get up on the rocks rather than any sort of, like, for a young guy, you know, on that stage, you know, rather than any sort of, like, what are we doing now?
- 55:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and you can see that AJ respected it too, because he got a big hug.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_00]: From him, I think the closer the match.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_07]: So so Martin, when Neil is talking about, I don't know if you had a chance to see it, but AJ, you didn't, you didn't, you didn't have to tag match at the Saturday Night's Men event.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_07]: AJ had went for his phenomenal form, but he went for the spring boy.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_07]: He's like slipped off the rope.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_07]: And instead of like, like, instead of like, like, laying on like, weighing around.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_07]: Like, he, like, he, like, bought it over to AJ and like, went to go pin them.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_07]: And then like you gave them some time to like, you know, recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a recoup a
- 56:37[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's from Mark Hamer when he was like, it's talking about Javans.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_07]: He was like, yeah man, you know, 15 years from now.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_07]: Javans is going to be the man.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_07]: I'm like 15 years from now.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_07]: A 15, like, 15, he's ready, but I think that's one of the things that I'm not a fan of in terms of like a lot of pro wrestling companies like they they always do this thing where it's like you think that you had a way until somebody's in a like late 30s or early 40s of like family get like the way to their family see I'm like do do like especially the connection and Leon and Jamal and individually and collectively.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_07]: I'm like, both of them, they're ready right now.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_07]: They're ready.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_07]: It's just a matter of you position in the right spot and making sure things go smoothly.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_07]: But like I knew, said, and Maddie be sitting in the chat, that was incredible.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_07]: And it's things about Leon.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's really, I really, I completely agree with you as usual, Andrew, but it's also weird because it's almost a new issue thing.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you go back to the 1980s and stuff, Vince used to think his talent were aging height.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_00]: At 35, Mattio Maum was kind of like, you know, the cage.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_00]: incredible you know I know like that's not really old enough you know you can you might get out of NXT and onto the roster you know when you're mid 30s it's kind of crazy you know but yeah completely agree with you on that score and I think there is a lot of knowledge in the two of them perhaps I could see them being
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Javano probably get the call first, and then when Leon's contract is to do, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that, he's going to do that
- 58:35[SPEAKER_07]: when they aired the tape show yesterday, and I saw that he won the four-way to challenge Oprah Famie for the NXT title in New Year's year.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_07]: I was like, yeah, brother, Tans are taking.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_07]: I thought it was like, yeah, he's on his way out.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I don't think that it'll be like, uh...
- 58:50[SPEAKER_07]: some big dramatic thing, I think that he'll, TNA will try to retain him, and then he'll try to be like, man, like you get close to this TNA world title, like just stick around, hang with his type of thing.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think he'll go like immediately, but I think by the time like Leon's probably like 25, like, you know, I think he's, you know, he's out of there.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_12]: So it's great having the two post reports as I might be for earlier, the dream team.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_12]: That's my dream team of past wrestling, the other reports back together.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_07]: Let me say something real quick.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_07]: Neil was one of the best people that I've ever worked with in newswriting space.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_07]: Martin, I'm telling you, this dude, I'm so amount.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_07]: Any time, but I remember one time I was having issues in my computer, right?
- 59:43[SPEAKER_07]: And again, I always make sure to get
- 59:48[SPEAKER_07]: He's in a different time zone and like I always told him that I'm like no you're in a different time Like these show that like nana clock at night my time.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_07]: It's like fucking 12 in the morning One in the morning three in the morning we he's in right and I remember one time I have a Samson issue this was the NXT after WrestleMania.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_07]: I'll never forget this is April April this year.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_07]: I was having some issues in my computer and I was like like my like my thing But just now work.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what do I think I had some like some update that wasn't going through
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_07]: And I had message new, I was like, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, my computer's like, I can real bug, I can't do none right now, I can't come up in XT, deal him me back immediately, he was like, I got you, and I'm like,
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, thank you for this man.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you for this man.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_07]: I'm out pewded and get ready to the next day.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_07]: Cause I had to go through this whole update thing.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_07]: But it's been multiple instances.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_07]: More than that can count like that when I've been able to contact New and be like, hey, can you take it?
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_07]: Or if it was a PLE or a paperview or whatever, I'd be like, hey, can you take this when I say that one?
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_07]: or A, can you fill in for me, or XYZ, or if it was a specific day on a weekend that I needed and Neil, but like, yeah, I got you a vice versa.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_07]: He was always there, but like, always, always, always.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_07]: So I always make sure to get Neil and his flowers, bro.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_07]: That's one of the best people legion we have ever worked with in the world.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_07]: Right?
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_07]: And one of the most
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_07]: dependable individuals that I've worked with in the wrestling new space.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_07]: So, yeah, shout out to Neil Menas, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Neil Menas as a newswriter.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_07]: He's a great person who will, too, from the personal conversation that we've had about the years.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the male.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say, yeah, I'm going to use the phrase vice versa there and I'm going to as well.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's absolutely worked both ways, you know, and there's times when I was sick or there
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_00]: And Andrew would again just jump in there with both feet and take over and say, I've got you like, you know, it's an amazing guy to work with.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_12]: That's beautiful.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_12]: That's beautiful.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_12]: Neil, if you've got to shoot off because I was thinking we've got our next guest in there in the waiting room.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_12]: I sort of fell right.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_12]: It's had Gelfend.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_12]: We're going to get on the show in a minute.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_12]: But I kind of feel like there'll be a crossover discussion about sort of like some of the things you guys have been watching.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_12]: If you want mine staying on them.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_12]: I can stay.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_12]: Join you.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_12]: Join you.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_12]: Well, without further ado, let's get our next guest done is to contribute to a fan side of DDT, heavy sports, and many, many more.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_12]: It's Mr. Chad Gelfin.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you, sir.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_12]: If he's there.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_12]: There you go.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_07]: That's my guide, man.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_07]: What's up, Shane?
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_07]: How you feeling, bro?
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_07]: Good to see you, man.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_07]: You're good to see you, guys, too.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_00]: Good to meet you, Chad.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_00]: We've known that before.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_00]: Good to meet you, Neil.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_12]: virtually me in for the first time.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_00]: Excellent.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_12]: There's been some wrestling holiday show when you're here.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_07]: In my mind, I'm about to say, Chair, one of the OG, but we got two of the OG people from our, from our, the Bushby and Towson Wrestling Adventure.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, yeah, I think it was key to the ring.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_10]: Two thousand two and a row of rumble.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_10]: Two thousand two.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_10]: Eight.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_12]: Yes, well, remember it.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_07]: Two.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_07]: I will never forget what we did to Katorate show.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_07]: Chad, what we read, what we read, the Chris Jericho's ball post about, about why people were upset about the match for Rob's in there.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_07]: There we go.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, well.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_12]: Well, while we've got you both on, and I would have was a couple of sort of like points that you wanted to raise Chad some to your favorite, and it's kind of leading to and do a nail the discussion you're having before, knowingly about the sort of like the NXT, because it's not a show that I really watched.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_12]: I'm interested in your guys, three opinions, and I know Chad you definitely wanted to touch on.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_12]: And these guys have been talking about the rise of Leon Slate, but the rise of overfammy and Javan Evans and what great sort of like
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I think they've really established themselves this year, it's like the future of WWE and like guys that are like cat miss prospects.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_10]: Like you see like Oberfemi.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_10]: I think he's like one of the most like role-rounded wrestlers that come to WWE and like maybe the past decade.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_10]: Like you see like his presence, his mic work.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_10]: his in-ring work like everything about obfemming right now like you can see him being a top guy and then you see Giovanni Evans and he just has like a charisma that you can't teach like he also has like an athleticism that like makes me stand out but he also has like a personality that people can get behind as well he has like like a jet party type of quality to him where you just have like a unique type of charisma to you
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, Chad, do you think one of the, um, one of the more appealing things about Javan Evans is that he's allowed to be like authentically himself like it doesn't feel like he's playing Javan Evans is for like he just is Javan Evans on TV and that and I know he's even spoken about that and like,
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_07]: and media appearances.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_07]: We talked about like he doesn't get a pro-momentary that doesn't sound like him, like they kind of let him so that work it out, have he feels and convey that to the audience.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_07]: Um, like do you think that's probably one of the most appealing things about Japan that is as a wrestling.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I definitely agree with that, like he seems like he's like unscriptable, like he, like a writer couldn't really like capture his vibe Like without his like input into it, and I think that like, you see that on TV as well That he like, that's made some standout from like other people where it seems like they're just like
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_10]: kind of like reading like directly from the script and in it's tq kind of you kind of expect that because like this is like they're new to this, they're trained ground stuff but I think that also makes him stand out from other people as well that he seems like he's authentically himself.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_12]: What about you, Neil?
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_12]: Is NXT something that you've been checking out my children and sort of these guys over for me and Javan Evans?
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes, I only catch the highlights that they put together the day after, because Andrew was saying about my team, how would something?
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_00]: They are, they are kind of weird, but in the beginning of the week, it is difficult for me to stay up on a Tuesday night until 3 a.m. just to watch NXT.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't catch it live very often.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: I always watch their specials, and I keep up with what's happening because I need to for the news.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_00]: But completely agree with Chad that Javan sort of really stands out.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_00]: It opens another one who really stands out as a presence on those shows and there's not intensity to it.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's some of those backstage.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_00]: Some of those backstage segments just don't have a very scripted.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_07]: HL, I mean did you get to see what happened last night on the tape show with the
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, that was a whole mess.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_07]: Mark, Mark, Mark, Mark, did you mark the new, the jogger the chance to see that?
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, thought I sure.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_12]: No, I think I can get chance right now.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_07]: Dude, so again, this was a, I think this was a tape show.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, this was a last show and they tape in the next two episodes today, my bad.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_07]: Um, but, so I'm, I'm the a hell of a face, like my role for the, uh,
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_07]: when it's not the American side.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_07]: The former where I ran, she did like this springboard landed on her back first and she went for the pin hooked her leg and the referee went for a straight shoe count and Blake didn't get her shoulder up until like after the three counts.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_07]: So she lived like legitimately
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_07]: one the title from Blake and then now they have to like pivot because imagine again they're taping the show so they got to figure out the creative for the next two weeks of NXT that did not have the hell been in champion at all.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_07]: It was like a whole thing but the chat but chat what did you make it out when you first uh were you first on the album?
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_10]: I was just confused at first.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_10]: I was like, how did that happen?
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_10]: I was like, did the Blick Monroe get knocked out for like a second or what?
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_10]: Because she was like a half a second late then putting your shoulder up.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_10]: But also kind of look like fear hail kind of like hatter like tight in like the pin for like maybe like a second too long.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_10]: Like it seemed like it was just like
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_10]: a whole bunch of things that led to that.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you guys.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_12]: Let me just comment.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_12]: Let me just comment.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_12]: This guy was supposed to be on our show.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_12]: So like 10, 20 minutes ago.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_12]: And he's driven miles to find service.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_12]: He had no service.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_12]: So I'm going to introduce him into the discussion.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_12]: So Mr. Jay Lacy is on the show guys.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_12]: So, hey, thank you so much for that drove miles this guy drove miles to get some service on his phone because he didn't know So yeah, thanks for thanks for coming on mate.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_01]: Hey nobody's man my apologies, man I'm out here in Arizona over in the Phoenix area my son just walked from Arizona state So that's why I'm over here, but I got a beef where Arizona right now And I ain't got no skull surgery.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_01]: I have to drop Man, I try to get to the stereotypical
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_01]: P.T.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_01]: Tom and everything, but they got me out here doing this massive, but glad to be with Charles.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the invite.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_07]: Hey Jared, congratulations to your son, too, man.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_07]: Congratulations.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yes sir.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_12]: One thing we were going to get into Jay and I suppose we can sort of like have a round Robin on this.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_12]: How and we'll start with you, Jay and then go Chad and then Neil and then Andrew, you can throw in your opinions here.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_12]: How do you feel John Cena sort of like retirement year has gone?
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_12]: We've had the heel term, we've had the sort of like matchery to gone for as a whole for you.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_12]: How do you guys feel it's gone?
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_12]: We'll go with you first Jay.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was a lot of potential right there that could have done so many different things, but it's almost like, like, for everything they did good, which was very few.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of things that left to be desired.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_01]: He'll turn was done, excellent.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they could have told so many different stories with John saying that they could have gone with the premise of him saying, you know, crowd you were using me.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_01]: He could have changed everything.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_01]: His look, his music, his presentation.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_01]: But it was lazily done.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_01]: And there were so much meat on the bone for that.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_01]: And there could have been so many other things that they did.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_01]: But it was not.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_01]: too, but in total, Tality.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_12]: I don't care if I'm going to lose in every sort of fucking signaling.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_12]: I always run it out here.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, we're losing your man.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, now we've got it It's a true.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's half from himself.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: So the make a wish things that he's done for him, but I am happy that he did top out Because the man has said never give up gave up You were breaking up loads for that Jay, but the other point stands on that one.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I think you
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_10]: But yeah, I agree that everything Jay was saying there about Johnson and how like how the Healturn had so much potential.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_10]: But he just seemed to like botch it like every step of the way.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_10]: Like from from then not really having a plan after they brought in Travis Scott in the rock into the picture to the archer's stuff to like every the Johnson and basically
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_10]: when his heel turn could have been like so much he was just like a new people like insult like the city that he was in like it seemed like oh my God it seemed like it was just very lazily done like the most anticipated heel turn baby in wrestling history and it seemed like they had new ideas they just seemed like very baffling how it was handled
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_10]: But I actually, initially, I didn't really like the tap out from seemed glad to felt like the crowd was just like, that's not what they were there for.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_10]: They were there if you like the submarine scene.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_10]: But after I thought about it, I, I, I agree with it with a, and especially like the way that he did it to, I thought it was kind of poetic that he like,
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_10]: he fought really hard at the end but then he kind of just like accept it like okay I've fought like as far as I could I gave all good uh...
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_10]: I'm okay with tapping out here I'm okay with any my career he had that like smile it like washed over him that he was okay with giving up his wrestling career in that moment that's why he like he tapped out the small mishrace
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_07]: And he tried just a follow-up for the pass it over to Neil.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_07]: Do you think about the Triple H that he got booed?
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_10]: Oh yeah, that's obviously why I like to do it.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_10]: If you'd like to get a booed, I was like the one decision that I actually agreed with that he's made last month and he's getting booed over it.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_10]: So I was like, I'm okay with this.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_10]: This is for the 10 other decisions that you've botched, but yeah.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_10]: I think Triple A judge, I think you kind of got flustered there too, you can't see it on his face, especially in the push-show that he was not anticipating that whatsoever.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_12]: Oh definitely, near what we are quick thoughts on the whole scene in a debacle from this year.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with the guys, like the night of the heel turn was executed brilliantly, that moment, and as a company that's obsessed with giving the moments, you know, it was done really well, but the follow-up was desolate, made absolutely no sense.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_00]: How did the rock?
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_00]: figured into all of this and Travis Scott, you know, and then the actual heel run was poor because as Jay was saying, just the angchard, the you people, very generic heel thing, and it didn't give the people what they wanted on his final tour.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_00]: People who paid a lot of money, they wanted to celebrate John Cena, you know, when his final run.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_00]: So all of that wasn't great.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_00]: I also just one other thing what one other note I know they're they're building and Brock up for something big in the coming year But I really heard it that destruction of Cena address in that opening match.
- 1:14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I really didn't like it and it's not just because I dislike
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Brock, which I keep up, I do, but that's just all it was about booking.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_00]: And as for the top, I was on the fence too, on the night, I didn't like it.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_00]: I thought they'd never give up, I gave up, but the kids, man, you know, I mean, I'd rather eat pasta, but I've been thinking about it since, and it's, you know, it does a lot for counter, that's for sure.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_12]: Exactly, but guys there's been great having you guys on Jay.

- 1:16:37[UNKNOWN]: I can count.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no, that's a spoiler.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're not doing that.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_02]: Nope, nope, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_05]: I should say I have a little bit of a head cold, but I'm going to do my best here.
- 1:16:53[SPEAKER_05]: Trish was like, Sarah, I'll do most of the talking, and I'm like, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_05]: I think that was just wishful.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think it now is like, if you do my other talking, then I don't have to.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_02]: And like, I said, stop last year, that ball to me already, then if they need you, then it's much better.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_12]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:17:09[SPEAKER_12]: Well, there's like your guys, your guys are shows great for the analysis and obviously looking deeper into the sort of like business guys business side of things was that when you guys first start the show I'll go to you, Sarah.
- 1:17:22[SPEAKER_12]: I'm sorry about you had cold, but I think it was that was that was that a conscious decision.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_12]: We like, oh, we really want to sort of like delve more into the business side of things.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_12]: I was that something to sort of like develop to you know is from show to show
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_05]: I think it was more for us in looking at, you could put a podcast out, but what are people not doing?
- 1:17:42[SPEAKER_05]: And I think for us it was, we saw a lot of opportunity to kind of talk about data and say, like, here's the data, here's what the data says, here's what the trends are showing us, here's what we're seeing and here's our rationale behind why we think this and here's, you know, that kind of stuff is opposed to sort of just doing like a recap or like an emotional feels about, you know, how we thought about it episode or stuff like that.
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_05]: And I think the business side of it is something that people do cover, and I feel like we, you know, but not a lot of women cover it.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_05]: So I think that helped us a little bit too.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_05]: So we were in a frame of that.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, but I think both of us like to analyze numbers and trends, those are things where big fans have.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_05]: So it's folk to both of us.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_07]: As they said, the just the follow-up on that and then we could pass it over to Trist, like, how do you guys sort of feel about, you know, your 2025 as far as you guys as Park has go, like, how do you think thinks of progress?
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_07]: And what do you guys look for over two years in New Year is about to come about?
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like, you know, one of the things my podcasting is, you know, we record our shows and then we post them like about 36 hours later.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_05]: And I think there's always that period from when you record, and I know, Trishal, I'm just, you could fuck and stuff.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_05]: Nobody's going to pay any attention.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_05]: What I said, what was I thinking?
- 1:18:56[SPEAKER_05]: I'm a moron and then it goes live in people like, wow, I can answer that.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_05]: What a great point.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_05]: What a terrific data.
- 1:19:01[SPEAKER_05]: That's so glad you guys covered this.
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm like,
- 1:19:03[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, okay, I mean, imposter syndrome is real, so, you know, I think I think we covered a good topics this year.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_05]: I think we do, you know, we're lucky in that we only go every two weeks and I think it gives us the opportunity to really only discuss the stuff that we really want to talk about as opposed to feeling like we just have to fill time.
- 1:19:22[SPEAKER_05]: I think we both felt very strongly about that when we started and
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_05]: for us it's you know when we're going to talk about what we feel strongly about what we feel educated about or what we feel like we can bring something to the table on and that's kind of where we're at.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like for 20 to 26 we're just going to keep trucking along you know Trisha's going to kick off the year in Japan so we'll be doing some live reviews which I'm very excited and jealous about for her.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's yeah that's going to be a lot of fun because
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is a really critical rustle thing.
- 1:19:55[SPEAKER_02]: You know, this is the rustle thing that we're talking about.
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's not how she's a Simon.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh- sh-
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_07]: I just need you analysis on the sort of the thought process behind this man being in the double main event of the Tokyo know in the night before he's going to be wrestling for DDT.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_07]: I'm trying to like, in DDT's man, the people who've published DDT.
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_07]: With thought processes going through their mind when they think that they're like, because I mean, I'm assuming that he's going to be probably in the finals of the continental classic against Ocada and World's End.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_07]: And then a couple days later, the rest of the DDT and the night after in the dome, I'm keeping it about that dome match.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_07]: And if I hope nothing goes wrong, but it's like back the back nights, that's tough right there.
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think what you have to look at is, is to question one, everybody's told like the question.
- 1:21:03[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it's no different to doing, you know, it's actually less than doing the semi-foundals on the farms or the G1, which has similar expectations in a way.
- 1:21:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yes, it's in the stadium and it's everything to do with that, but I don't think, yeah, I don't think these guys look at it any differently, you know, he's only going to be in a
- 1:21:22[SPEAKER_02]: You don't hope to use under no prats sort of thing, but yeah, you can't stop them, this is the thing in Japan, you know, like, like, think about this way, like, you want something fun or you've got no silly, you've got no silly, you can remember the match and he goes on a rest of the final of next day, unfortunately, you know, in some ways, that's just what they do.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it'll be perfect.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_02]: help it's fine, every time we're sugy and they've got a lot to deliver because cash is taken a lot of stick for sheer income to people and I'm just saying a lot of stuff right so um it's you know and because i think it's hard when you come home duty too you know it's always hard to run a new Japan
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think he's something I've rejected him, but they've not given him the kind of reception that maybe he would have for this point.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, he's going to do it as to keep going down the ring and the intervention.
- 1:22:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think him and Sergio do well.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sergio is massively underrated on and on and on about it.
- 1:22:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that together, they can do something real other day, and hopefully, yeah, they go with the right result, and I'll send it to next year, because it's a different year.
- 1:22:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you can no night tone out, no time to ask you, no a card, no us, no a day, right.
- 1:22:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's now or never now, you're going to stand on your own two feet, and that's where we are.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's certainly going to be a very interesting sort of year for New DeFan, you know, definitely, I feel like for past couple years when a bit of transition period.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_12]: But moving away from New DeFan and sort of on to a W and I'm going to start with you, Sarah.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_12]: Obviously, we want to be talking about why you hate Will Osprey, so much.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_12]: I love that was one of your shows you were like, I don't hate well, that's brave anyway, Aaron.
- 1:23:20[SPEAKER_05]: I'm so thankful he needs well, that's brave.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:23:24[SPEAKER_12]: Well, I'm so hang my empages second-cylory.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_12]: So obviously we have the big win against Moxol, and the great defense against Kyle Fletcher, you know, the match quality.
- 1:23:32[SPEAKER_12]: Well, it's there.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_12]: And like you guys have said, you know, not everyone should have a sort of big title range that shouldn't go on for years or whatever.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_12]: But as far as the business, you know, the range, the live attendance, the WWE account program, I mean, you know, a lot to unpack and you guys have unpacked it throughout the air and they'll share one.
- 1:23:48[SPEAKER_12]: So if in a nutshell, did you feel that it was successful as a as a title range?
- 1:23:53[SPEAKER_05]: I think from a business standpoint, yes, it was successful.
- 1:23:56[SPEAKER_05]: It's a title reign.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_05]: I think the numbers show that and I think there's no argument there.
- 1:24:00[SPEAKER_05]: I think creatively, it had its ups and downs.
- 1:24:04[SPEAKER_05]: Trish and I like to disagree on this one a little bit.
- 1:24:06[SPEAKER_05]: I think it was more successful than his first title reign.
- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it was as successful as it could have been.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_05]: I think and it was sort of truncated a little bit.
- 1:24:16[SPEAKER_05]: The fact that he's been feuding with Samoa Jose and sort of, you know, what is an October now is ridiculous.
- 1:24:22[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, like again,
- 1:24:24[SPEAKER_05]: You know, we've talked about this and I think you talked about you guys were speaking about Javan Evans and Leon Slater and the future of WWE in the earlier segment, but I think when you look across the board at some of these promotions, it's like, why do we especially AEW?
- 1:24:35[SPEAKER_05]: Why are we going back to the well with some of these older guys when we have so many young talented wrestlers up and coming wrestlers that would die for a spot, you know, let's, you know, put a six week rain for Samoa Joe.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_05]: It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but, you know, what can I tell you?
- 1:24:52[SPEAKER_07]: Like, just the follow up on that, like, I've already been a dismasent when it comes to title reigns, it could be world title or a mere card title, whatever the situation is.
- 1:25:03[SPEAKER_07]: I think that people have grown like very accustomed to like every championship reign needing to be like this long crusade over the course of the year.
- 1:25:13[SPEAKER_07]: I'm like, dude, things can be like a, like you can get like two months in, three months in.
- 1:25:18[SPEAKER_07]: It could be effective.
- 1:25:19[SPEAKER_07]: You can get a bunch of views and let it get a couple of title matches in.
- 1:25:22[SPEAKER_07]: It does not have to be this track through like a whole year journey.
- 1:25:26[SPEAKER_05]: I agree with that and I think when it comes to hangman, if we'd seen a better quality of opponents for him, I think the Fletcher feud was fantastic, which we definitely agree with.
- 1:25:34[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that MJF match was very good.
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_05]: I think the build up to that was sort of a hit or miss for me, but I think, you know, there's some old Joe stuff to do.
- 1:25:41[SPEAKER_05]: I know.
- 1:25:43[SPEAKER_05]: I think the Somorgio stuff has been kind of like met because I don't think Joe doesn't really give his opponents a lot to work with from a few perspective, but I think, you know, I think for a lengthwise I grew to you.
- 1:25:55[SPEAKER_05]: I think the idea that you have to have your long reigns is sort of ridiculous.
- 1:25:58[SPEAKER_05]: Like we could shorten some of these things up, but at the same time, I appreciate that people feel like that makes it more meaningful and yada yada yada, but
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, I had no issue if they done a short rain.
- 1:26:18[SPEAKER_02]: I just thought if you're going to do a short rain and you should be the focus of the show in a way that they'd be rubble people on that side.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_02]: And he wasn't, you know, we had five weeks very well, so and then he wasn't.
- 1:26:26[SPEAKER_02]: And that it was very much, he was on the back burner and they were very much, who do we find for him next?
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they had no plan, which is pretty much an excusable outside of, you know, I'm dressed at the end.
- 1:26:36[SPEAKER_02]: They got, it was pretty much an excusable because you had to say, you know, they knew he was winning.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_02]: at all, at all, any mate.
- 1:26:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it's fine.
- 1:26:44[SPEAKER_02]: You have to do better in that regard.
- 1:26:47[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think this never had to focus.
- 1:26:48[SPEAKER_02]: That was a thing that's rolled over first, right?
- 1:26:51[SPEAKER_02]: Is that he's not the set-up piece of the show when he's champion.
- 1:26:56[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, I thought he was very good in his role.
- 1:26:59[SPEAKER_02]: This I thought he was much better to move his time route than he was last time.
- 1:27:02[SPEAKER_02]: Much of confidence, his promise was stronger.
- 1:27:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I think he adapted to things perfectly.
- 1:27:08[SPEAKER_02]: But I think what happened was this when you get to the Joe race,
- 1:27:14[SPEAKER_02]: And it kind of restricts his range, right?
- 1:27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're not saying, OK, so the baby face needs to get revenge to focus my baby face and we said you're geeking.
- 1:27:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then we know what's coming up.
- 1:27:23[SPEAKER_02]: So it's hard to be happy with the ending when it's kind of we can see him as a baby face.
- 1:27:30[SPEAKER_02]: So the point where I actually wonder, you look at how many turns there's really a lot of baby face turns actually.
- 1:27:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's a catch-down, I mean, I'm not just going, I want to be just a prophecy of God and, you know, and then obviously I'll spray something back.
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_02]: So you have to go on the, yeah, I think I can have a hemisphere figure out where do I go from here.
- 1:27:45[SPEAKER_02]: with our like kind of charged with world title and how do I compete with all these people that are kind of gap in the mental detergents.
- 1:27:53[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's it.
- 1:27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I said we've always said this.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone says, oh, you want to belong, no, no, no, no, we want to bond with focus and one that was treated right from beginning to end and we got five weeks.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_02]: And that was nice, but we didn't get a list.
- 1:28:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then what still happens?
- 1:28:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we'll see where he is in six times two areas in 12 months.
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_02]: And that will tell you,
- 1:28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now, how have us to bear at our point?
- 1:28:15[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I understand.
- 1:28:17[SPEAKER_02]: I just thought it was a shame.
- 1:28:18[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he was very good.
- 1:28:19[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he, we thought he had and his range got reduced as they went to Joe's stuff.
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he was really good.
- 1:28:25[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, everyone was like, well, I wasn't telling me where all this care about long range and you, you're not happy that your favor is not jumping and all stuff like that.
- 1:28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:28:33[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 1:28:33[SPEAKER_02]: If it's like, I saw the point.
- 1:28:34[SPEAKER_02]: It was never the point and I was never always right.
- 1:28:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's the way the world is.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's the way the world is.
- 1:28:40[SPEAKER_06]: The world is the way the world is.
- 1:28:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:28:42[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah.
- 1:28:43[SPEAKER_12]: But great point there.
- 1:28:45[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I didn't even think that that.
- 1:28:46[SPEAKER_12]: So like with us very coming back and then the turns we're going to see and then muck seal obviously we're going baby face You know, take on the desirais and stuff.
- 1:28:53[SPEAKER_12]: So yeah, we're going to be cluttered with a with baby faces come to 2016.
- 1:28:57[SPEAKER_12]: So yeah, very interesting point.
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_12]: But fish.
- 1:29:00[SPEAKER_12]: So thank you so much for joining us.
- 1:29:02[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you for letting you get back to the show, Trish.

- 1:30:26[SPEAKER_12]: That's great.
- 1:30:27[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:30:27[SPEAKER_12]: Always great chat.
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_12]: So then guys.
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_12]: We're going to do our next guest.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_12]: There's open hour running.
- 1:30:31[SPEAKER_12]: So like 10 minutes behind.
- 1:30:32[SPEAKER_12]: But um.
- 1:30:33[SPEAKER_12]: Starting us now.
- 1:30:35[SPEAKER_12]: Contribute.
- 1:30:36[SPEAKER_12]: It's a fancider.
- 1:30:37[SPEAKER_12]: DDT.
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_12]: Bell.
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_12]: Bells.
- 1:30:41[SPEAKER_12]: G, I'm just going to join us mate and holding on the line for a while.
- 1:30:49[SPEAKER_12]: No, can we wait?
- 1:30:50[SPEAKER_07]: Wait, wait.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_07]: We got no sound coming from the Chris.
- 1:30:54[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I mean, if you mic issues with the Chris, if you can.
- 1:30:58[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, that's all.
- 1:31:01[SPEAKER_07]: They say, well, he get that, that's what it out like we're talking about.
- 1:31:06[SPEAKER_07]: Like I'm wondering, I'm wondering the Nintendo's going up.
- 1:31:10[SPEAKER_07]: But my trick and share was on the show.
- 1:31:12[SPEAKER_07]: What was the sort of one of the stories that we say and so on the playout right now?
- 1:31:16[SPEAKER_07]: It's coming to, it's the same, like it's happening to the,
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_07]: the down track, I guess, of Mercedes Monet, like the title reign thing.
- 1:31:25[SPEAKER_07]: And I think it was, I think that the whole Melco-like thing is, her loss to Rehabil, kind of showed the sort of effect that,
- 1:31:37[SPEAKER_07]: That is going to have as it trickles down as she loses these other championships, and I think that credit to Mercedes and what she's built as well Because like the reaction that I've been able to get when she beat her it was like a Shop thing like I think most people expect her to end up losing that master Mercedes I found a battle and then she ended up winning in
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_07]: You know, she got probably one of the big reactions of the night just out of pure shock because nobody thought then Mercedes went up losing the championship.
- 1:32:03[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm very interested to see how to rest at that place out and who A.W.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_07]: So the role with the T.B.S.
- 1:32:09[SPEAKER_07]: title offer and I think once Mercedes is done with the belt collector thing and like all these titles are gone, that's when new fast trackers in the A.W.
- 1:32:18[SPEAKER_07]: Women's World Championship.
- 1:32:21[SPEAKER_12]: Oh yeah definitely do you think she's going to lose the belt like from person to person or lose it in a few in one go or I do think that's going to play out for her.
- 1:32:29[SPEAKER_07]: I think it'll be like a person to person type deal.
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_07]: Like I think that like it's going to close for the independent promotion, she'll go back to those individual promotion and create a little Chris back.
- 1:32:41[SPEAKER_12]: Oh gosh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, awesome man.
- 1:32:47[SPEAKER_07]: Chris Chris was good man.
- 1:32:48[SPEAKER_07]: Good to see you man.
- 1:32:49[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 1:32:51[SPEAKER_11]: I'm doing all right guys.
- 1:32:52[SPEAKER_11]: How are you guys doing?
- 1:32:53[SPEAKER_11]: You know, complaining, that's great to see you around.
- 1:32:55[SPEAKER_11]: Great to see you.
- 1:32:56[SPEAKER_11]: Like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like like, like like, like like, like like, like like, like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like
- 1:33:15[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, Chris, just to follow up on the conversation and then Martin and I were having, we were saying the sort of the, it would appear as the DD, the come down of the Bell Collector Mercedes on A and I think it's a credit to Mercedes and this whole thing, the fact that the reaction that rear velvet got when she beat her
- 1:33:34[SPEAKER_07]: It was like pure shock, like the idea that Mercedes is like losing the title, it's like, oh my goodness.
- 1:33:40[SPEAKER_07]: It's like, as we sort of, I'm assuming, you know, it's going to go one by one.
- 1:33:45[SPEAKER_07]: Still drop these championships and then maybe the back and other will be the TBS championship.
- 1:33:50[SPEAKER_07]: Just off the top of your head, who are you looking at in AWS division, who you think Mercedes can pass that TBS title to, and then also on top of that, after she's done with the belt collected thing, do you think that is only going to be like a natural progression to have it probably haven't taken like a month or two months off and then build her back up and then sort of fast shocker to the AWS World Championship, or I would really like that.
- 1:34:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I think the plan, the end game for this is her winning the world title.
- 1:34:23[SPEAKER_11]: I think, you know, the matches that she's had with Tony Storm and Settlander and the big crux of those stories being that, you know, she can't win the big one or that she can win all these titles except the world title.
- 1:34:38[SPEAKER_11]: That's the only area where she seems to trip up every time.
- 1:34:44[SPEAKER_11]: And of course now she's losing all these titles, and I think obviously she's going to gradually lose them.
- 1:34:50[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think she's going to lose all of those titles one by one, like she's going to lose a one by one, but it's going to be a graduate.
- 1:34:57[SPEAKER_11]: Like she's not going to be a 12 match losing streak or whatever.
- 1:35:04[SPEAKER_11]: As far as we could be here for the previous title,
- 1:35:09[SPEAKER_11]: I thought, like my top choice for that was, I guess good still be Willow Nightingale.
- 1:35:14[SPEAKER_11]: I think, yeah.
- 1:35:15[SPEAKER_11]: She makes a lot of sense.
- 1:35:16[SPEAKER_11]: They have the connection.
- 1:35:17[SPEAKER_11]: And obviously, when she came in and she wanted to be a title, she'd be Willow Nightingale.
- 1:35:22[SPEAKER_11]: So they can always revisit that, they can come back to that.
- 1:35:26[SPEAKER_11]: And I just think Willow, she's such a great baby face and she's so over with the crowd, the crowd's lover.
- 1:35:37[SPEAKER_11]: have her win and give her a real run with that championship.
- 1:35:41[SPEAKER_11]: Whenever she's finished with, you know, with Harvey Cameron and the tag team, so I think that makes the most sense and I think from there, it's we are already seeing it on television and the crash artist, the crash artist starting, that she's already starting the unwrapped, just losing one vote.
- 1:35:58[SPEAKER_11]: So I think that they'll probably take her off a TV for a couple of, like you said, they'll price a girl off a TV a couple for a couple of months and they'll start to build her back up for a world title run because I do think it's gonna be a matter of time before she holds that title.
- 1:36:19[SPEAKER_07]: I was laughing at the comment, Chris, and he said we probably want to see, like, father Indie, the titles of Indie, yeah.
- 1:36:25[SPEAKER_07]: I was laughing at that, and all of these I'm laughing at is because, like, I can see Tony Carve, and like, all right, yeah, she's not taking the pitch.
- 1:36:31[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's like, it's like, you're not about to be pinning by one of my top stars.
- 1:36:36[SPEAKER_07]: And like, she's not to be dropping all of these champions.
- 1:36:39[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I guess that's why I was laughing at, I could definitely see Tony being like, championing in all some of these, then like, that's not happening.
- 1:36:45[SPEAKER_07]: Triple thread buddy.
- 1:36:48[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I mean, that's all she dropped the newsy fan title, right?
- 1:36:52[SPEAKER_11]: They do the three of you, and they had Africa, who, who, it was her, me and Africa, the other, the other, the other, the other, was it a Zony?
- 1:37:03[SPEAKER_11]: That's, oh, I think so, I think so, okay, but based on that was, it's one of those things.
- 1:37:09[SPEAKER_11]: Well, triple threats generally exists so that someone doesn't have to get pinned anyway.
- 1:37:14[SPEAKER_11]: So, first.
- 1:37:17[SPEAKER_12]: Definitely as we sticking with ADW though Chris and it was spoken a bit about him earlier, but one of the big stories out of ADW this year was John Moxley and obviously I'm a huge mox guy got a hole in my hand so like said earlier and said the start of the year Did that's right the story felt like a bit of the slug but then we had the match
- 1:37:35[SPEAKER_12]: against Hangman, the much is against Derby Allen, his losing streak, this tease again of the death ride this tone on him, and I think Mox, I was saying we've been a wellier, Andrew.
- 1:37:45[SPEAKER_12]: Is that a fantastic year, and he's turned out sort of like, after, sort of like, few chepid few months, Chris.
- 1:37:52[SPEAKER_12]: He's turning out sort of like, sort of like, Bresser of the year, Calibur, yet again.
- 1:37:56[SPEAKER_12]: He's had a couple of those already.
- 1:37:58[SPEAKER_12]: So he's great to see Mox sort of like back on top again.
- 1:38:02[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, as far as your assessment of him, potentially being a rest of the year, Kennedy, I mean, I think his second half of the year has been that strong, really post all in.
- 1:38:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, it was a rough start to the beginning of the year to say the least so many so many of those those made events with cove and you know so much interference and I it's one of those things where you can understand what they're trying to do and what they're trying to accomplish like trying to paint him as like this hypocrite heel.
- 1:38:39[SPEAKER_11]: I also think that
- 1:38:41[SPEAKER_11]: character wise, the like the whole death write is thing also a lot of steam at the beginning of the year because remember how hot that thing started, then choking Brian Danes and I looked at the plastic bag at late last year and then he sort of he and the group sort of evolved into just being generic heels.
- 1:39:00[SPEAKER_11]: Which is kind of understandable, like you can't have a guy go out and suffocate people with plastic bags every week or every other week.
- 1:39:09[SPEAKER_11]: You can do that maybe once or twice as a shock value you think, but eventually you settle in.
- 1:39:16[SPEAKER_11]: And the group sort of settle in as this just the typical heel group that interferes and cheats at every turn.
- 1:39:27[SPEAKER_11]: It got redundant after a while and it got to a point where, I mean, you would hear some defenses of, oh, well, they're doing this and you're not supposed to like them and all this other stuff, but it's like, well, no, there's a difference between putting heat on a heel, putting heat on a character and putting heat on the company for, for underwhelming creative, and that's what I'm getting for the first few months.
- 1:39:50[SPEAKER_11]: But then everything turned around,
- 1:39:56[SPEAKER_11]: During the page stuff the page program we turned everything around and then then we started seeing more inspired work from Oxley and I really think like getting to work with guys like I had to look and see Had to revisit like the rest was he was working with after he was a title working with guys like Kevin night and working with guys like Bailey and obviously working hard to put Kyle a Riley over towards the end of the year
- 1:40:22[SPEAKER_11]: I think we really saw some inspired work and it really reaffirmed how important Moxley has been to this promotion really since he joined at the at the company's inception.
- 1:40:38[SPEAKER_12]: Definitely and I definitely definitely get my vote for SOV.
- 1:40:40[SPEAKER_12]: I know I was biased because I did a fucking podcast to buy him, but yeah.
- 1:40:46[SPEAKER_12]: But Chris, thank you so much for coming on me.
- 1:40:48[SPEAKER_12]: Any plugs do you want to get out there?
- 1:40:51[SPEAKER_11]: Um, you know, follow my work at a fan-sided DDT.
- 1:40:56[SPEAKER_11]: Um, I wrote a piece recently talking about, uh, three, well, technically four wrestlers, because I talked about a tight team.
- 1:41:04[SPEAKER_11]: The three wrestlers that I think, uh, will win their first titles in a w next year.
- 1:41:09[SPEAKER_11]: Um, you can follow me on blue sky at sea.
- 1:41:13[SPEAKER_11]: I got my, my blue sky.
- 1:41:23[SPEAKER_07]: No, he went out.
- 1:41:24[SPEAKER_12]: No, he went out.
- 1:41:25[SPEAKER_12]: No, he went out.
- 1:41:27[SPEAKER_07]: He went out Chris.
- 1:41:27[SPEAKER_07]: No, he went out.
- 1:41:28[SPEAKER_07]: No, he went out.
- 1:41:28[SPEAKER_07]: Chris.
- 1:41:31[SPEAKER_07]: No, you are.
- 1:41:32[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:41:33[SPEAKER_12]: You're familiar.
- 1:41:34[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:41:34[SPEAKER_12]: Come and plug the gun.
- 1:41:36[SPEAKER_12]: But yeah.
- 1:41:37[SPEAKER_12]: You can follow me on BlueSkay, CG at night1.bc.
- 1:41:40[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:41:40[SPEAKER_12]: Not social.
- 1:41:42[SPEAKER_12]: So yeah.
- 1:41:42[SPEAKER_12]: We've got you.
- 1:41:43[SPEAKER_12]: But thank you so much Chris.
- 1:41:46[SPEAKER_12]: Have a happy holiday mate.
- 1:41:48[SPEAKER_12]: Merry Christmas.
- 1:41:49[SPEAKER_12]: We'll catch you.
- 1:41:50[SPEAKER_12]: Have a happy holiday mate.
- 1:41:51[SPEAKER_07]: Merry Christmas.
- 1:41:52[SPEAKER_07]: Please bear.
- 1:41:53[SPEAKER_12]: Please.
- 1:41:54[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you.
- 1:41:55[SPEAKER_12]: No, I've got always great trying to Chris there.
- 1:42:00[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, Chris.
- 1:42:00[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, great.
- 1:42:02[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, great guy.
- 1:42:02[SPEAKER_12]: So I'm great articles.
- 1:42:03[SPEAKER_12]: Definitely techy stuff out on fan side of the EDT.
- 1:42:06[SPEAKER_12]: But Andrew, we've got our penultimate guests on.
- 1:42:10[SPEAKER_12]: You'll now join us next to two people from the Post Office and you're going to win through MMA stuff with Post Wrestling.
- 1:42:17[SPEAKER_12]: And of course, it's 500 appearances on Bushby and Thompson's just an adventure, and the next guy is joining us from a wallwalk harfock, apparently.
- 1:42:26[SPEAKER_12]: So, without further ado, let's get Eric Mark Button and New Jersey.
- 1:42:33[SPEAKER_15]: Well, we're back.
- 1:42:34[SPEAKER_14]: Let's go ahead and sew back.
- 1:42:36[SPEAKER_14]: We are so back.
- 1:42:39[SPEAKER_15]: That was the wall, I was Brandon.
- 1:42:41[SPEAKER_14]: Oh man, I just saw a couple, I just saw a couple, skit, skit in one head, don't want to act on the yellow head jersey tags, and they were both coming out of each other's vehicles and going into the opposite direction.
- 1:42:54[SPEAKER_14]: I was like, oh man, this is the greatest stop.
- 1:42:57[SPEAKER_14]: People watch you and trouble, trouble happens around my way.
- 1:43:00[SPEAKER_15]: Let's go in all day, is everyone?
- 1:43:03[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, everyone is, to the guys of New Jersey.
- 1:43:08[SPEAKER_14]: I'm this I miss you and you and I worry buddy.
- 1:43:12[SPEAKER_14]: I know I know you're balling that fight for man I love it.
- 1:43:16[SPEAKER_07]: I love it.
- 1:43:17[SPEAKER_07]: I appreciate you, right?
- 1:43:18[SPEAKER_07]: I miss you too, man.
- 1:43:19[SPEAKER_07]: It's good.
- 1:43:19[SPEAKER_07]: That's good.
- 1:43:19[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I think good to see you's good to hear you, man Eric you too, bro.
- 1:43:23[SPEAKER_07]: Good to see you.
- 1:43:23[SPEAKER_07]: I know it's you.
- 1:43:25[SPEAKER_07]: This right here.
- 1:43:26[SPEAKER_15]: This is this is filling my heart out right now This is a proper reunion right now.
- 1:43:31[SPEAKER_07]: Can we get that comment off the screen, please
- 1:43:36[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to repeat with that comment, but that was great.
- 1:43:42[SPEAKER_07]: When Chris Elliott said, Brandon had a wall while I was shocked.
- 1:43:46[SPEAKER_14]: I'm on the clock man, and that's why you can't see me.
- 1:43:49[SPEAKER_14]: I'm in a, I'm in a personality of great.
- 1:43:52[SPEAKER_07]: I'm surrounded by cameras man, black ops, big brother, you mentioned, you can't see me man, what, what, what, what did you make it for?
- 1:44:00[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
- 1:44:09[SPEAKER_07]: What did you think about Triple A's getting booed and then after the second?
- 1:44:15[SPEAKER_14]: Two-cand Triple H, man, I love this bit.
- 1:44:21[SPEAKER_14]: Um, what a legend man.
- 1:44:23[SPEAKER_14]: Well, what a G the way he, he, he booked the whole year to have right at the right of the co-tales of the bloodline man.
- 1:44:29[SPEAKER_14]: Uh, what a, what a, what a king.
- 1:44:31[SPEAKER_14]: That's king shit, right Eric?
- 1:44:33[SPEAKER_15]: Uh, and king of kings, that's the one.
- 1:44:36[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, man, uh, John C to go it out with a smile.
- 1:44:42[SPEAKER_14]: Remember what shot lost his?
- 1:44:44[SPEAKER_14]: I guess, I guess Triple H was like, I bad, go out smiling.
- 1:44:47[SPEAKER_14]: Like, my, my, my former composer in the collected when he lost his back of the day.
- 1:44:55[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, not great.
- 1:44:56[SPEAKER_12]: Well, what did you take a chance to see?
- 1:44:59[SPEAKER_14]: Does runs at a top and then his ultimate pet ultimate device and compromise to a permanent end.
- 1:45:06[SPEAKER_15]: Confirmize to a permanent end.
- 1:45:08[SPEAKER_15]: I thought most of his run was pretty bad this year, honestly.
- 1:45:11[SPEAKER_15]: I think the first half of it was just a really poor looking, but I mean, the camp that actually did quite like the final match.
- 1:45:18[SPEAKER_15]: I thought it was a good standoff for him.
- 1:45:21[SPEAKER_15]: And you know what?
- 1:45:22[SPEAKER_15]: With the crowd just doing triple H at the end,
- 1:45:25[SPEAKER_15]: It's like everything was about tripletion, and that's exactly what he wants all the time, so he's probably perfectly happy, and now everything's fine.
- 1:45:33[SPEAKER_14]: Wait, is the job C to okay?
- 1:45:36[SPEAKER_14]: Is that like the 5% or okay?
- 1:45:38[SPEAKER_14]: Or is that just like your normal standard okay?
- 1:45:41[SPEAKER_14]: Like it's not like proud boys okay, right?
- 1:45:43[SPEAKER_15]: I don't think so now.
- 1:45:47[SPEAKER_15]: This body doesn't strike me as that type.
- 1:45:48[SPEAKER_15]: Now if Triple H made that okay, like maybe maybe you'd be on this side.
- 1:45:53[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know, see color.
- 1:45:55[SPEAKER_13]: I can see.
- 1:45:58[SPEAKER_13]: I just see bad bookie.
- 1:46:01[SPEAKER_13]: I just see the green.
- 1:46:03[SPEAKER_13]: I can't go.
- 1:46:05[SPEAKER_07]: I swear, that is something that will forever be burned in my brain.
- 1:46:09[SPEAKER_07]: That bad blood.
- 1:46:10[SPEAKER_07]: I think that's what that was.
- 1:46:11[SPEAKER_07]: That bad blood press conference, but he got them dead.
- 1:46:14[SPEAKER_07]: Said that, I don't see color shit.
- 1:46:15[SPEAKER_07]: I was like, she's just fucking cry.
- 1:46:17[SPEAKER_07]: I was like, then, but like, I was talking about just pure, I can't even get the fucking word out.
- 1:46:23[SPEAKER_07]: That was just stupid.
- 1:46:23[SPEAKER_13]: But I don't, I don't handle these press conferences well.
- 1:46:27[SPEAKER_13]: He does not, I don't, I don't, I'm not media trained, but I do know that I didn't see color, but I saw, I saw the pay window.
- 1:46:38[SPEAKER_13]: There was a lot of money for the con.
- 1:46:41[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, well, we talked about the John Cena retirement, so I think one of the things that people are always going to circle back to, like regardless of how you thought it went is the heel turn and the rocks, just disappearance after.
- 1:46:55[SPEAKER_07]: And then he went on the pat macrophies show and was just like, well, you know, man, I thought it would be best, you know, if I just went away.
- 1:47:03[SPEAKER_07]: what you like you reported a whole the whole thing so like Eric as like now that it's fully over and you factor in like the again his appears on the pat magazine show him explaining that he just felt it was the best calls of action for him to just disappear from this whole thing what what did you make it a heel turn and then how it played out and then pivoting back to seeing it being a baby face and Eric too scared to approach slash too like like what the rock did to like he was the
- 1:47:28[SPEAKER_14]: But he didn't throw a slash, but he grabbed his lip while doing them.
- 1:47:32[SPEAKER_14]: I was like the weirdest throw slashed ever, man.
- 1:47:34[SPEAKER_14]: It was the Lucy Aldo.
- 1:47:38[SPEAKER_12]: I'm just going to check that, but I remember waking up that morning after elimination chamber reading my, oh my god, they sang a little bit.
- 1:47:45[SPEAKER_06]: What?
- 1:47:45[SPEAKER_12]: What is it called?
- 1:47:46[SPEAKER_12]: It was brilliant.
- 1:47:47[SPEAKER_12]: It was amazing.
- 1:47:49[SPEAKER_12]: And then I flicked it on the ear.
- 1:47:51[SPEAKER_15]: It was like a miracle.
- 1:47:53[SPEAKER_15]: Can Brandon hear Martin because you're just talking over.
- 1:47:55[SPEAKER_15]: Yes.
- 1:47:57[SPEAKER_12]: I can't hear Martin.
- 1:47:58[SPEAKER_15]: I'm sorry.
- 1:47:58[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 1:47:58[SPEAKER_15]: There we go.
- 1:47:59[SPEAKER_15]: The man always reveals this kind of information.
- 1:48:01[SPEAKER_15]: I've been saying no.
- 1:48:04[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, well it's a cut-in then I'm in the camp that day of I didn't think it was good Okay, not that the the angle itself of course I totally understand why people are gain it But I remember like I saw what happened and I just looked and I was like, okay Literally first time in this man's 25-year career Everybody just wants to cheer him everyone just wants to have a good time like watching this guy if you a good guy One last time and now they're doing the healer on after like fucking
- 1:48:34[SPEAKER_15]: And years of people begging for it, but I didn't think it was a good idea and I think now Everybody is in the same boat as me.
- 1:48:43[SPEAKER_15]: It was it was bad.
- 1:48:44[SPEAKER_15]: It sucked.
- 1:48:45[SPEAKER_15]: It was stupid.
- 1:48:46[SPEAKER_14]: There were no mods of this Well listen man, like I mean if they could have done the heel run right like he could have been here Remember to love him.
- 1:48:54[SPEAKER_14]: No, I mean he could have he could have come as a the people's liberation army member for against Taiwan He could have done that at that heel angles
- 1:49:04[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, everyone, John, see the guy trouble for, I guess he said free Thai water, whatever.
- 1:49:15[SPEAKER_15]: He referred the Thai one, his own country, and then China wanted him to apologize.
- 1:49:23[SPEAKER_15]: And he did, and then he pissed off the rest of the world when he did that.
- 1:49:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that was him.
- 1:49:29[SPEAKER_07]: When Trevor Scott slapped a hell out of Cody, I'm not gonna lie that was hilarious.
- 1:49:32[SPEAKER_07]: I thought it was funny for God about this.
- 1:49:33[SPEAKER_07]: He slapped a hell out of Cody.
- 1:49:35[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, yeah, Cody never got that receipt, man.
- 1:49:37[SPEAKER_14]: He's gonna have to go to a Travis Scott concert later on.
- 1:49:39[SPEAKER_14]: This time I'm gonna collect that time.
- 1:49:42[SPEAKER_07]: I, I, I, I, I, I, I think it was a clip.
- 1:49:45[SPEAKER_07]: Um, Instagram, a Logan Paul talking about a like, why I Travis Scott, like, why he didn't come back after, I think I've got the WrestleMania and the whole thing was like he was supposed to like a, they exploded like a training session for some type of match that they was supposed to have and then Travis kind of just like, He just notion.
- 1:50:02[SPEAKER_14]: He just, he just, he was like, yeah, he must have been watching Scott Hall tapes of no shows for him in the past.
- 1:50:14[SPEAKER_12]: Can you imagine that?
- 1:50:15[SPEAKER_12]: Travis Scott in the fucking performance sent a taking flat black bombs in life.
- 1:50:20[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I'm telling you, it was, it was, it was going to be his probably him in John Cena versus Cody and I forgot who Cody was bear with that determinative.
- 1:50:31[SPEAKER_07]: It was probably going to be some type of tag match.
- 1:50:34[SPEAKER_07]: And Louis and Mercy, how that was going to go?
- 1:50:36[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, for Saudi Arabia?
- 1:50:38[SPEAKER_07]: No, no, I'm talking about when we're trying to
- 1:50:44[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, you're here to price tickets for Saudi Arabia show.
- 1:50:48[SPEAKER_14]: It's like $9, $11, man.
- 1:50:50[SPEAKER_14]: Crazy.
- 1:50:51[SPEAKER_12]: Wow.
- 1:50:53[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, my sister's what she's doing.
- 1:50:55[SPEAKER_12]: Almost as much as the NBA in London.
- 1:50:59[SPEAKER_12]: I'm sorry, man.
- 1:51:00[SPEAKER_15]: There's this man is here.
- 1:51:01[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, man.
- 1:51:02[SPEAKER_15]: This is the reason of giving and he is just spreading misinformation for me.
- 1:51:07[SPEAKER_15]: All of the fine people listening to the show.
- 1:51:09[SPEAKER_14]: We are the heels in this country, aren't we?
- 1:51:13[SPEAKER_15]: Yes.
- 1:51:18[SPEAKER_14]: And I want to be a face to other face.
- 1:51:21[SPEAKER_15]: In order to be a face, you need to have your camera on and on.
- 1:51:25[SPEAKER_15]: I did.
- 1:51:26[SPEAKER_15]: I didn't work out, man.
- 1:51:27[SPEAKER_15]: I don't want to be a five.
- 1:51:28[SPEAKER_14]: I don't want to be a five.
- 1:51:30[SPEAKER_14]: And then be a pro podcast.
- 1:51:31[SPEAKER_07]: Isn't it a personal view?
- 1:51:34[SPEAKER_12]: the minute he's on company time right now i have a company time which is pretty good parent that's my my favorite people in the world and she's constant martin rush bay on that bombshell i'd expect this in the way in the fact god i think it's been a pleasure talking to you as always my rambun five times i had a bro like to work

- 1:52:03[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, man.
- 1:52:04[SPEAKER_14]: I'm getting the shepard took.
- 1:52:06[SPEAKER_14]: This is it, man, you go back to work.
- 1:52:10[SPEAKER_14]: Again, I'm getting the sandman from Chotato with the Apollo Treatment and getting kicked off the stage.
- 1:52:14[SPEAKER_15]: So it's feeling money from your company, okay?
- 1:52:17[SPEAKER_15]: Get that, uh, delivering those packages.
- 1:52:19[SPEAKER_14]: Hey, they've robbed us for so many years, dude, it's time we take, it's the big payment.
- 1:52:25[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, workers' rights, let's go.
- 1:52:26[SPEAKER_15]: That's it.
- 1:52:27[SPEAKER_14]: All right, guys, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right
- 1:52:49[SPEAKER_14]: When you were with Scrump and talking about what was going down with social activism and stuff like that, I was like, one of my favorites.
- 1:52:57[SPEAKER_14]: That was the first time I remember like, wow, Andrew Thompson's really deep thinker and, uh, respect to you for that in all seriousness here.
- 1:53:03[SPEAKER_14]: And there was a pleasure meeting you that one time too.
- 1:53:05[SPEAKER_14]: Uh, we could see eye to eye because we're both short people.
- 1:53:11[SPEAKER_14]: Hey bro, I can't hear you.
- 1:53:14[SPEAKER_14]: You can hear me, but I love you, brother.
- 1:53:16[SPEAKER_14]: You're it was fun doing the podcast with you and whatnot, and uh, you know, John Macsley said it best.
- 1:53:24[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know what he said.
- 1:53:27[SPEAKER_12]: When he said nothing, uh, Well, it's not the bread of man.
- 1:53:31[SPEAKER_07]: It's not the shadow of a man.
- 1:53:33[SPEAKER_12]: Contradules always.
- 1:53:35[SPEAKER_07]: Because it's great saying you was always a group.
- 1:53:37[SPEAKER_15]: It's always just the one and only no you can ever and you know right now There will be a number six.
- 1:53:44[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 1:53:45[SPEAKER_15]: Hey wait.
- 1:53:46[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah Distance 26 the return of Marca Indeed right after that uh wild ride are you ready for our final guest?
- 1:53:56[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah man, let's do it on this extra veganzer Andrew who join us from grapple towers all the way in Liverpool.
- 1:54:05[SPEAKER_12]: It's Mr. grapple garrison.
- 1:54:07[SPEAKER_12]: Right, how are you?
- 1:54:09[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, yeah, I'm good.
- 1:54:12[SPEAKER_08]: Ah, I'm absolutely good that you've co-branded off before I've come on and I wasn't
- 1:54:24[SPEAKER_12]: How are you doing, Lads?
- 1:54:26[SPEAKER_07]: Don't get mad.
- 1:54:27[SPEAKER_07]: Don't get mad.
- 1:54:28[SPEAKER_12]: Thanks for binning off the ADW show tonight.
- 1:54:30[SPEAKER_12]: So the chat was appreciate it, mate.
- 1:54:33[SPEAKER_08]: Well, do you know how you message me about doing the show?
- 1:54:36[SPEAKER_08]: And then I was like, look, an age of boutiques, and I went, oh, it's the same day.
- 1:54:40[SPEAKER_08]: I was like, I got fat, it's got in the way there.
- 1:54:42[SPEAKER_08]: I forgot to podcast.
- 1:54:43[SPEAKER_08]: So I'm telling you, it's a podcast.
- 1:54:44[SPEAKER_08]: They're way, it'll be fine up.
- 1:54:48[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm going to ask you, like, since this is probably that, to AEW, this had came to mind when we were talking to Trisha Sera and they had mentioned M.J.F.
- 1:54:57[SPEAKER_07]: Like, before we need lost the tax match to Mark Briscoe at all now, he said he said that he was going to come back as a brand new version of M.J.F.
- 1:55:09[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm just wondering, like, would more
- 1:55:13[SPEAKER_07]: from MJF's character can like personally engage you that you haven't already seen.
- 1:55:18[SPEAKER_07]: Like you've seen the baby phase, you've seen him take all the sharp jabs and say the controversial things and next Wednesday, but as a viewer, what else from MJF that you think that he can most so pull out of himself that would make you personally interested.
- 1:55:32[SPEAKER_07]: That would actually follow up, and I'm going to be a brand new MJF when I come back.
- 1:55:39[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I think for me, like, I always like, I was always much more of a fan of it before they started sort of leaning into the baby face stuff that they did with them and then there was, they were obviously there were, before they really went for it with the Adam Cole stuff that was sort of toe in that line a little bit and, you know, to me, it was always just, you should never be a baby face ever.
- 1:56:00[SPEAKER_08]: You should be the purest heel in the business and, you know, I never want to see him get cheers in the building and things.
- 1:56:05[SPEAKER_08]: So, I don't know if it's a case of like,
- 1:56:08[SPEAKER_08]: the toothpaste out of the tube, but I just like him to just come back as a like serious heal, sort of thing with real sort of like aggression and real violence and almost like the, you know, in his interviews, the low-hanging fruits, you know, little put downs of people and things, I just get rid of them completely and all that, I know it's been a
- 1:56:30[SPEAKER_08]: key part of his character from like a heel standpoint to put the baby face down during the interview and stuff, but I think that's probably, I don't know if you can pull it off though now because let's say, because the whole, you know, the feeling of, you ask up fans, you ask up a bit popularity and things like, you know, I've bought.
- 1:56:50[SPEAKER_08]: to test for him for me that is if he could come back and just be the pureest, most serious heel that he can be then then I think that would perk by interest but I just don't know if it's achievable and outside of that I don't know how interested I am in seeing him do you know the stuff that he's already done to be honest I don't know if he really needs a new platform altogether
- 1:57:16[SPEAKER_12]: No, I completely agree that's, but I don't think he's got it in him.
- 1:57:19[SPEAKER_12]: I think he's decided now that this is my character.
- 1:57:23[SPEAKER_12]: It's really popular.
- 1:57:24[SPEAKER_12]: He's gets over with the fans.
- 1:57:25[SPEAKER_12]: Funky knows sort of like the sort of like criticisms.
- 1:57:29[SPEAKER_12]: So it's just a bunch of marks and things like that.
- 1:57:31[SPEAKER_12]: But yeah, I would be happy to be through that.
- 1:57:35[SPEAKER_12]: But I just don't think he's got any of them anymore, I just think I think he's decided that this is sort of like stock sort of thing and that's what people want to see from him sort of thing.
- 1:57:49[SPEAKER_12]: which is a shame really.
- 1:57:51[SPEAKER_08]: But, you know, if you can come back and you can pull off that pure heel then, you know, just think about potentially like different things that you can be doing there with the, you know, maybe faces that have been sort of elevated and there is that kind of, you know, different type of heel probably lacking at the top end of the card now with, you know,
- 1:58:11[SPEAKER_08]: So, Noah Joe, you know, the style of heel that he's become on the back of the moxley heel, Ronan, and things like that.
- 1:58:19[SPEAKER_08]: It's a bit, I don't know, it's a bit, it's a bit sane.
- 1:58:21[SPEAKER_08]: So, it's sort of, it needs something of a different tuffing from a heel point of view.
- 1:58:26[SPEAKER_08]: So, again, I'm not going to, you know, I'm not going to close my eyes to the chance, but it could be something good, but, you know, equally it's not something I'm not
- 1:58:38[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, so, so, Garrett, we got Russell Kingdom coming up and, of course, Tana Oshis will be main event against cause you go caught in his retirement match.
- 1:58:45[SPEAKER_07]: What, what do you expecting match-wise from Tana Oshis, and also do you think that it'll be more so, like, I, I think we all probably can agree on this.
- 1:58:55[SPEAKER_07]: I think it'll be more so about the emotion of it and the whole, the culmination of this great career from this Russell who's putting on his work in his company, more so than like, you know, people expecting this to be like some,
- 1:59:06[SPEAKER_07]: bailed a bill.
- 1:59:07[SPEAKER_07]: Even though it might turn out to be exactly that, but in terms of like the emotion standpoint in the match, but what are you going into expecting from to see from Tata Hashi and how do you think this final result was going to turn out?
- 1:59:19[SPEAKER_07]: You think it's going to
- 1:59:20[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, first and foremost, I'm just delighted that it's a sellout of the dome because... Yeah, man.
- 1:59:25[SPEAKER_08]: Just kind of how she just been so important to that boom period and just, you know, the legendary is just getting sent off in the right way, you know, to me almost like.
- 1:59:36[SPEAKER_08]: When you talk about emotion there, I just think about emotion in the builds in and I just think that, you know, I'm almost a bit like...
- 1:59:42[SPEAKER_08]: the match feels semi-inconsequential to me as to the occasion that's how she's been in front of there and in front of her, you know, sell out, sell out dome, you know, I think it's true.
- 1:59:52[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to, I know I'm going to have tears in my eyes on the, on the, on the day what, watching it, but I think that,
- 1:59:59[SPEAKER_08]: because Tanahashi Nakada, what made their previous matches so great was just their attention to detail and so much thought into the minutiae of everything that went into it to build that story, not only in the match, but then to progress the story that they then told through the progression of the matches that they have.
- 2:00:19[SPEAKER_08]: I've got faith that I know that Tanahashi can't go out there and
- 2:00:28[SPEAKER_08]: the story that they'll probably tell in the match by probably doing as much as they need to do, but as little as possible.
- 2:00:40[SPEAKER_08]: I think I just can't not see it being a great match, but in a totally different way, I can't see them not putting something together, but it just doesn't have you.
- 2:00:50[SPEAKER_08]: sitting there at the end thinking, wow, that was brilliant.
- 2:00:53[SPEAKER_08]: I just, I can't, I can't, I can't see them not achieving that personally, I don't know, would, would you guys think?
- 2:00:59[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, there were definitely, I definitely agree, like we've seen Tanakam go like you did sort of like sort of 10 years ago, whatever, but the emotion, the storyline, I mean, I was at the dome when like every time people were just balling their eyes out and just seeing them to go out one more time and then you know, Tanakam has she's going to be crying at the end of it, you know, doing the air guitar for the one last time in that place.
- 2:01:21[SPEAKER_12]: It's going to be like, yeah, it's going to be, like you said, I think they've got enough in them to not be like, well, it's not going to be spot spot, it's what like we used to do and so I think it's just going to be all about the story and the emotion of the match and yeah, and it's going to be even watching it sort of like back home is I think we're still going to come through on the camera, you don't have to be there live in the building.
- 2:01:42[SPEAKER_12]: There's much as I'd fucking love to be sort of thing, yeah, definitely think the story's going to carry Andrew.
- 2:01:48[SPEAKER_07]: yeah for sure now I'm 100% both of y'all I think it's gonna be more so about the the emotion of it and like I get it said I think it'll come through well whether you're there in person like you said mark like it'll come through in person or whether you're you know they're there in attendance ever as a kingdom
- 2:02:02[SPEAKER_07]: like the culmination of a stalwart in that company, a stalwart in that company, then the guy who's obviously going to parlay right back to his presidential role, so it's going to be, I think it's going to be a great match, and I think it's going to be a great match in their own way, like I don't think.
- 2:02:19[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not expecting some,
- 2:02:20[SPEAKER_07]: You know, Todd Halsh, they'd be doing some guy goddamn toe pays over the top room.
- 2:02:24[SPEAKER_07]: You know, kind of like you don't say, I think it's going to be a fun match.
- 2:02:26[SPEAKER_07]: Um, and I think they want to make people feel and I think it's going to be great months.
- 2:02:30[SPEAKER_07]: I'm pretty sure they'll get some kind of camera shots at the individuals in the audience showing their emotion.
- 2:02:35[SPEAKER_07]: Um, like, I want one of my favorite visuals, bro, from different this year.
- 2:02:38[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, we were like, when people talked about like that year in the woods, like if there was a category for a best visual, it was a time of Halsh's reaction to Omega and gay kid.
- 2:02:46[SPEAKER_07]: When he was like crying like the commentary does that is like one of my favorite moments from this year and like that again That was in January and that's still like sticks when you like his massive reaction that he had to these two individuals in this match And I'm pretty sure that there's gonna be some type of similar reaction when talking to Aussie when nobody wins or loses this match
- 2:03:06[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, definitely.
- 2:03:07[SPEAKER_12]: Definitely.
- 2:03:08[SPEAKER_12]: Well, we've still got you, Garrison.
- 2:03:10[SPEAKER_12]: What have been some years, sort of like, favorite moments from, sort of, 20, 25 and wrestling.
- 2:03:16[SPEAKER_12]: So I know you mentioned that you were really high on, sort of like, Kyle's lecture and, and was it sort of like his, um,
- 2:03:23[SPEAKER_12]: match with Hangman and impatient sort of plus it over the edge of you because like I was saying earlier those guys in England it'd been seen him you know when he was like a skinny as I am so I think you know I've been great matches as part of sort of like I was the open and that I know you sort of like jack to the gills and it seems to just be like dripping this charisma and I absolutely fucking love those like glasses that you were just no
- 2:03:46[SPEAKER_12]: You found him in a shop when he was like, this will make me look like the biggest driver.
- 2:03:50[SPEAKER_12]: Do you know what I mean?
- 2:03:51[SPEAKER_12]: And he just knew when he was fighting in one that like, yeah, this is going to make me look, people are going to go, oh my god, look how that pose is sort of thing.
- 2:03:57[SPEAKER_12]: But yeah, what a year he's had, I don't know, kind of like you.
- 2:04:01[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, to me, that's the thing that I just, you know, when I just think of this, you know, just the rise of Calfletcher is just what, you know, stands out in my mind.
- 2:04:10[SPEAKER_08]: And I think it's one of these things with, like, I think one of the great things about being a wrestling fan as old as I am is that has been plenty of occasions along the way where you're able to sort of,
- 2:04:20[SPEAKER_08]: go on the journey with somebody and you see them come through, you know, when they're young and you see them develop and you see people get it and it doesn't happen all the time, you see guys who you think are like hot prospects and they plato and they drop off and they don't achieve what you think the way they're like through their own back or bad book in or the wrong company at the wrong time and things but I don't know, I just feel like it's a bit lightening in the bottom of it with Kyle Fletcher and having him beating somebody
- 2:04:47[SPEAKER_08]: I was literally watching every single month in front of like 80 people, like six, seven years ago, and like, like, him just being this skinny 19 year old kid and looking at him and thinking, like, yeah, he's great.
- 2:04:59[SPEAKER_08]: He's got, he just flashing moves and he's fun to come here and watch on a Tuesday night and have a few beers and if you just told me then, that'd be a guy who I'd be thrown into main events of people for you, who's in America, you know, and it's,
- 2:05:15[SPEAKER_08]: the feud with Mac Briscoe that he's had over the course of the year, the stuff with Osprey earlier in the year, coming out at the back of last year's continental classic and then culminating in that cage match, like, I just want to watch that cage match earlier today, just a bit of a rewatch and like, what a match, what a story to tell, like the moves that are absolutely incredible, and I think just, you know, right through to
- 2:05:39[SPEAKER_08]: In getting the TNT, well, great win over Justin, but then like, can I elevate that belt?
- 2:05:44[SPEAKER_08]: It's gotten great matches on TV, you know, like every couple of weeks and he's gone from that day when he shaved his head and the promo was a bit clunky and things now he's just like.
- 2:05:56[SPEAKER_08]: talk, obviously he's got the lock, he's getting bigger and bigger, and every single, you know, month that goes by, he's got the matches, he's tells stories, it's much as tall about moves, I'm just like, I'm so high on him, I'm so excited to see what comes next year with him, because I just, well, you asked me the question Andrew about M.J.F.
- 2:06:15[SPEAKER_08]: I almost see as like Calflet just moved into that space where it's going to move into that space.
- 2:06:20[SPEAKER_08]: The NGF could have as that serious top line view, you know, and I think it's going to influence next year as when it comes to, you know, presence and profile in the business.
- 2:06:49[SPEAKER_07]: He's standing next to them, but the dog, a countless family feels like it's centered around Kyle.
- 2:06:54[SPEAKER_07]: Like he doesn't stand, I don't see him standing next to a car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing next to the car that I don't see him standing
- 2:07:14[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, I think it's, I think it's really intriguing because obviously you've got the a card at a cash-to-fue to the sort of slowly build and coming to a head and you almost feel like they're going to put heads and he's just going to come straight through the middle and be the guy kind of, you know, we embed and they'll sort of separate into in different areas but yeah, that's, I mean, that's the exciting part for me because it just feels like
- 2:07:37[SPEAKER_08]: top tier already and if you feel in top tier when you stood there next to a card in the cash to then, like wow, thank you very much, I'm so, how good is that?
- 2:07:47[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, yeah, completely.
- 2:07:49[SPEAKER_12]: Well, that's the thing as well.
- 2:07:50[SPEAKER_12]: And we were talking early with Trisha and Sarah, how many sort of like, you know, he's going to be clotted with baby faces when you think about it.
- 2:07:55[SPEAKER_12]: And actually, you know, got spray coming back, you know, moxley's surely going to be turning face and going against the deseriders.
- 2:08:01[SPEAKER_12]: So, you know, if I also like the main heal, he's got so many fucking baby faces to it.
- 2:08:06[SPEAKER_12]: And I've always been like, there's got this is 2025.
- 2:08:09[SPEAKER_12]: There's been it's going to be like,
- 2:08:11[SPEAKER_12]: even better in 2026, for essentially unless you get an injury or something else happens what they keep in the dumb college family too long.
- 2:08:19[SPEAKER_12]: That whole implosion, you could keep them both heal when he turns against the dawn, and he's going to get a massive reaction, we could still remain here and go, you know, you know, about growing, you know, you enough into me sort of thing.
- 2:08:29[SPEAKER_12]: But, um,
- 2:08:30[SPEAKER_12]: Well yeah, always great chance to gyro thank you so much for joining us and obviously fantastic analysis over a grapple well we got coming up I know Beno took to stand a bit on it earlier but as far as I share with you you're going to be doing over the Christmas period
- 2:08:46[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so I'll be, as always, on grapple, the pull me into do the AW stuff there, so I'll be reviewing obviously the paper viewing just December, we've got our year-end show that we're doing with the grappies and the grappies, where we'll be going through the best and worst of the year.
- 2:09:03[SPEAKER_08]: So then once this is now, you may be just other few spoilers on the couch, which are front with me, where my brain's gonna be going.
- 2:09:09[SPEAKER_08]: On that one, and then also just coming to,
- 2:09:12[SPEAKER_08]: Come to the end of the year or me and Matty will be doing another episode of Retro as we put out there.
- 2:09:17[SPEAKER_08]: We talk about the great man for an hour.
- 2:09:20[SPEAKER_08]: So, when you put me on our plates coming up and you're looking for another good year, Grapple.
- 2:09:28[SPEAKER_12]: Thanks a lot.
- 2:09:28[SPEAKER_12]: Cheers.
- 2:09:29[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you so much.
- 2:09:30[SPEAKER_12]: Have a great day.

- 2:10:15[SPEAKER_07]: My guy is always one of my favorite things getting the duty shows that you end on the, one of my fondest memories of doing anything wrestling related is doing the bushing to be a Thompson's wrestling adventure.
- 2:10:30[SPEAKER_07]: I have that, I have that, that our guy, folder from post saved on my laptop.
- 2:10:37[SPEAKER_07]: So like just in case like I always make sure to keep that, I want to keep that, that
- 2:10:45[SPEAKER_07]: like fun to look back on in a different stuff that we was able to do.
- 2:10:49[SPEAKER_07]: And yeah man, I'm always enjoying the Christmas show and I think I think this is going to be an annual thing, man.

- 2:11:06[SPEAKER_12]: I'm not favorite times of the year or the holidays, you know, everyone doesn't celebrate Christmas, so, you know, the festive period you might put it, but yeah, and thank you so much for everyone who jumped in and out of the chat, but obviously there's one guy who's staying in the chat all night, Mr. Chris Elliott.
- 2:11:21[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
