Speaker 1: Greetings, programs, and welcome a mile above sea level. I'm
• 0:05
Speaker 1: Connor McGehee, and this is Colorado Avalanche Hockey. Tonight, the
• 0:10
Speaker 1: Avs are briefly back home to try and stop the skid.
• 0:14
Speaker 1: During last year's record-setting season, the Avs never lost three
• 0:18
Speaker 1: games in a row in regulation. To avoid that happening
• 0:22
Speaker 1: this season, they will have to beat the Lightning who
• 0:24
Speaker 1: are back to their old ways and who have only
• 0:27
Speaker 1: lost two games all year. But a secret ingredient has
• 0:30
Speaker 1: been added to the mix for the Avs. For the
• 0:33
Speaker 1: first time this season, you just heard it, OC's playing, baby.
• 0:38
Speaker 1: Logan O'Connor returns for Colorado. So put on your listening
• 0:41
Speaker 1: sweaters for the Avs and Lightning. Force of Nature versus
• 0:45
Speaker 1: animated race car. Live for your listening pleasure around North
• 0:49
Speaker 1: America and around the world on the Altitude Sports Radio Network.
• 0:54
Speaker 1: And now they'll play back-to-back. Here's Nathan McKinnon. Through the
• 0:57
Speaker 1: Tampa Bay line, McKinnon centers it. Here's Nature's backdoor tase!
• 1:01
Speaker 1: He ships and scores! A wide open net makes it
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: a bullseye! A laser from Taser! It's 1-0 Colorado! McKinnon
• 1:16
Speaker 1: held up. Nages was the trailer. He had plenty of
• 1:19
Speaker 1: opportunities to shoot himself. But Devontae snuck in the back
• 1:25
Speaker 1: door that was wide open, stealing some cookies from the kitchen.
• 1:30
Speaker 1: Devontae pots home his third goal already of the season.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: It's 1-0 Avalanche. Backs below the goal line. Now tosses
• 1:40
Speaker 1: it for Kadri. He scores! Finally, for the first time
• 1:46
Speaker 1: this season, the Kadri man can. It's a power play goal.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: It's Nazem's first of the year, and this one will count.
• 1:55
Speaker 1: 2-0 Colorado. Good patience from T.J. Hughes. Welcome to the
• 2:02
Speaker 1: pressure of Chernak, and then slid it for Nazem Kadri,
• 2:05
Speaker 1: who slid it under Andre Vasileski. Between the legs. And Kadri,
• 2:14
Speaker 1: who had seven assists coming into the game, finally gets
• 2:19
Speaker 1: a goal. It's 2-0 Avalanche. And it comes on the
• 2:24
Speaker 1: power play. Sports the steal. Out to the center ice.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: Svechkov with 2-0-1. Developing with T.J. Hughes. Svechkov holding. Svechkov
• 2:31
Speaker 1: back door for Hughes. Not good. He scores! Fedor scores!
• 2:44
Speaker 1: It's Svechkov's second goal of the season, and it's 3-0 Colorado.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: You could put Svechkov on the Milwaukee Brewers tonight, and
• 2:55
Speaker 1: he bat 230. Knocked it out of midair after it
• 3:01
Speaker 1: bounced back to him. Hand-eye coordination at maximum. just underneath
• 3:08
Speaker 1: the crossbar will be a good goal. He sees the
• 3:12
Speaker 1: sword and Svechkov has the abs up by a field goal.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: By Tampa, down low, Point has it back. Top of
• 3:21
Speaker 1: the near dot, hands it over, one-timer tip, wide open
• 3:23
Speaker 1: net and he scores. Jake Gensel. So again, power play
• 3:29
Speaker 1: that should not have existed in the first place goes
• 3:32
Speaker 1: to the Tampa Bay Lightning. And Jake Gensel gets his
• 3:35
Speaker 1: fifth goal of the season. Tampa's on the board. It's 3-1.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: Actually didn't break. He just got underneath to McKinnon. In
• 3:43
Speaker 1: front for Lekkonen. They score! It pinballed around, but it's
• 3:50
Speaker 1: the ninth goal of the season. We're up all night
• 3:55
Speaker 1: to get lucky. Two goals in Jersey on Tuesday. Now
• 4:01
Speaker 1: Lekanen adds to the lead for the Avalanche. They're back
• 4:03
Speaker 1: to being up three. It's 4-1 Colorado. McKinnon fed Lekanen.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: Lekanen let it go. It missed. Went off the skate
• 4:14
Speaker 1: of Eric Chernak, I believe, and through the legs of
• 4:17
Speaker 1: Andre Vasilevsky. McKinnon put on a clinic below the goal
• 4:23
Speaker 1: line around Gergensen's. Carlson. Doesn't shoot. Now he lets it go.
• 4:27
Speaker 1: Blocker by Mackenzie Blackwood. Falls for Natchez. Lekkonen leads it
• 4:30
Speaker 1: for Nathan McKinnon. First to speed. Here he comes. McKinnon holding.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: He scores! Let the dog eat! Nathan McKinnon, his fourth
• 4:45
Speaker 1: point of the night. Three assists and now a goal
• 4:50
Speaker 1: makes it 5-2 Colorado. It is his seventh goal of
• 4:56
Speaker 1: the season. It's off the rush. He goes low blocker
• 4:59
Speaker 1: on Vasilevsky. He was in the back of the twine
• 5:03
Speaker 1: before Vasilevsky even reacted. Abs up by three. Sent in
• 5:12
Speaker 1: by Crozier. Blackwood got a piece of it. Missing the
• 5:15
Speaker 1: kick is Brett Burns. Blocked at that time. In front,
• 5:17
Speaker 1: they score. That's two with a... Massive wild celebration, which
• 5:24
Speaker 1: is strange at this point. 447 to go in the
• 5:27
Speaker 1: third period. Tampa gets three and they trail now five
• 5:33
Speaker 1: to three. Burns went to kick the puck. And then
• 5:37
Speaker 1: the centering feet. This has happened three times tonight where
• 5:41
Speaker 1: a feed goes off an avalanche defenseman or player and
• 5:45
Speaker 1: then right to a Tampa Bay player who's in the
• 5:48
Speaker 1: right position. So for Charles-Edouard Dastu, that is the second
• 5:54
Speaker 1: goal of the season and his first ever versus the Avalanche.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: Two goal lead for Colorado with 4.47 to go in regulation.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Landeskog on the forecheck. Leans over the net, tries to
• 6:07
Speaker 1: poke it away. Intercepted by Natchez. Landeskog turning. Natchez is
• 6:10
Speaker 1: going to pick it up and he'll skate it in.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: That is all set up by Gabe Landeskog. But it's
• 6:20
Speaker 1: a Marty party, and the Avalanche put a touchdown on
• 6:24
Speaker 1: the Tampa Bay Lightning. Landeskog leaned over the net to
• 6:32
Speaker 1: John Carlson to force that mistake. Carlson tried to go
• 6:36
Speaker 1: through Landeskog. Natchez able to sniff it out. Carlson stayed
• 6:39
Speaker 1: with Landy, and Natchez picked it up, skated it in
• 6:43
Speaker 1: for his sixth goal of the season. 6-3 Colorado. Fans
• 6:49
Speaker 1: to their feet. Five seconds to go. Three seconds. Two seconds.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: One second. Salma Horn. Colorado gets back on track. It's
• 7:04
Speaker 1: a two loss night for the city of Tampa Bay.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: The hockey version. They lose 6-3 to the Colorado Avalanche.
• 7:14
Speaker 1: Nathan McKinnon. No points in his last two games, no problem.
• 7:19
Speaker 1: A goal and three assists. He ties Joe Sackett for
• 7:23
Speaker 1: the third most three-assist games in franchise history. And Mackenzie
• 7:27
Speaker 1: Blackwood will pick up his fifth win of the season.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: Colorado on top of Tampa Bay by three. A final
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: of 6-3.
