- 0:08Speaker 1: Sure, it's love and love No.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show. I have your host,
- 0:18Speaker 2: Romp Shooter and it's Friday, which means our dear dear
- 0:20Speaker 2: friend Corey. Andrew joins us. Hey, Corey, are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 1: I am here? Hello everyone, Happy Friday.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Happy Friday, Corey. I have a new gig. Thanks to you,
- 0:30Speaker 2: I am now a contributor to Instinct Magazine. Corey. That's
- 0:35Speaker 2: how we met, Corey. You've been working for them for
- 0:38Speaker 2: years now. It's such a smart website. It is so smart.
- 0:42Speaker 2: It covers all the sexy stuff. Don't worry so if
- 0:44Speaker 2: you want to see cute boys without their shirts on cover,
- 0:49Speaker 2: but also too, just like more in depth, more smart,
- 0:53Speaker 2: more I don't say serious, but stories that sort of
- 0:57Speaker 2: matter and real think pieces, things that have made me think, wow,
- 1:00Speaker 2: what do I think about that? Yeah? I'm so happy.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh well, gosh, we are so happy to have you
- 1:04Speaker 1: and it's my pleasure to introduce you to the team
- 1:07Speaker 1: and have you on board now. And you're right, it's
- 1:09Speaker 1: a smart magazine, smart online magazine. Ash's dress and we
- 1:13Speaker 1: try to cover it all and smart pieces, politics and
- 1:16Speaker 1: of course the sexy boys.
- 1:18Speaker 2: So you know, check it out on that side. My
- 1:21Speaker 2: first story is up. It's Live Instinct Magazine dot com.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It's Eliza Manelli. Oh, I've met her. I used to
- 1:28Speaker 2: work with her a little bit, and so it's some
- 1:31Speaker 2: real kind. It's not a mean sight. It's not Perez Hilton. No, no,
- 1:35Speaker 2: we don't do that. We don't do that. And this
- 1:37Speaker 2: is like it almost reminds me of Entertainment Weekly, a
- 1:40Speaker 2: day version of People magazine. Okay, us Weekly. Like it's smart,
- 1:45Speaker 2: we love that, it's not trashy, but it certainly has
- 1:48Speaker 2: a lot of juice. So yeah, check it out Instinctmagazine
- 1:52Speaker 2: dot com. Both Corey and I look at this. We've
- 1:54Speaker 2: just been a commercial for them. Isn't that funny? Yeah?
- 1:57Speaker 1: But it's so great though, because, like you're to your point,
- 1:58Speaker 1: I did start with them, and that helped me actually
- 2:01Speaker 1: get with you because you saw some.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Stuff I was reading. I've read this, honestly, I've read
- 2:08Speaker 2: this site for a long time. I'm not just saying
- 2:09Speaker 2: it because now I'm working for them. The reason I'm
- 2:12Speaker 2: working for them is that I like them, And so
- 2:14Speaker 2: it was a really great sight. And I noticed that
- 2:17Speaker 2: all the stories I was reading had the same Byeline
- 2:20Speaker 2: Cory Andrew, and I was like, I gotta find out.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I had no idea who you were. I've got to
- 2:24Speaker 2: find out who this guy is. And that's how we started.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That's so great. Yeah, thank you, thank you. Check it out,
- 2:30Speaker 2: jump into what time is it? My friends? It is
- 2:34Speaker 2: big story at the top of the show. So Harry
- 2:36Speaker 2: and Megan have removed the Netflix deal. However, it seems
- 2:40Speaker 2: to be all smoke and no fire. So I've got
- 2:44Speaker 2: the real, real inside details about this deal and it's
- 2:49Speaker 2: not really a very good deal. So their five year,
- 2:52Speaker 2: one hundred million dollar deal is over. That's a great deal.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Oh gosh, Yeah, that's a great deal. And it's been
- 2:58Speaker 2: replaced by what in business is called a first look agreement. Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 2: but what this basically means is that you you send
- 3:05Speaker 2: them all your projects. They get to have a look
- 3:07Speaker 2: at it first and decide what they want to buy
- 3:09Speaker 2: and what they don't, and they only pay if they
- 3:12Speaker 2: buy it. So it's sort of like assignment that you
- 3:16Speaker 2: send them stuff and if I like it, I'll buy it,
- 3:19Speaker 2: but if I don't, I'll pass on it. So there's
- 3:21Speaker 2: no guarantees here, so they might make nothing. So people
- 3:24Speaker 2: are like Rob how much is this deal worth? And
- 3:27Speaker 2: the truth is, we can't say because it's not that deal.
- 3:30Speaker 2: There is not a guaranteed minimum. There is not a
- 3:33Speaker 2: guaranteed number. They've been told do as many shows as
- 3:37Speaker 2: you want, produce as much as you want, bring them
- 3:40Speaker 2: to us, and will pick the ones we want. We don't,
- 3:44Speaker 2: we won't take, but we're going to pay for the
- 3:47Speaker 2: wee take them we want. So the strategy is very,
- 3:50Speaker 2: very different. Insiders are saying they really are excited about
- 3:53Speaker 2: this deal. Really to say face that this was a
- 3:56Speaker 2: bad look. If they completely lost their Netflix deal, everybody
- 3:59Speaker 2: would be like, oh goodness, Yeah, they have really lost
- 4:03Speaker 2: the deal, but not the relationships Netflix and no fools, no, no,
- 4:07Speaker 2: they are still Harry and Meghan. They're still very powerful people.
- 4:10Speaker 2: They are still ambassadors. They can do lunches with advertisers. Yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 2: you want to get attention. You've certainly got Harry and
- 4:17Speaker 2: Meghan in your wheelhouse. You don't want to lose that.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But the projects they have been producing just haven't been
- 4:23Speaker 2: getting viewers. However, if Harry decided to sit down and
- 4:27Speaker 2: do a tell all about his family, that would work. Yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 2: they don't want to push him out completely. Because he
- 4:34Speaker 2: does have stories. She has stories. They do have what
- 4:38Speaker 2: we want, they just won't give it us. They won't
- 4:40Speaker 2: give us what we want to. Yeah, and so they're
- 4:42Speaker 2: happy to have this sort of loose, flexible first look deal.
- 4:47Speaker 2: But it's not quite the deal that they had. In fact,
- 4:50Speaker 2: it's nothing like the amazing deal they first had.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you know. Unfortunately, though, I think there's so much
- 4:55Speaker 1: of this damage that's been done to their brand. I
- 4:57Speaker 1: think it's self inflicted in some cases. You know, the
- 5:00Speaker 1: whole thing with Megan positioning herself as his lifestyle guru
- 5:03Speaker 1: like Martha Stewart, but then she seemed to make so
- 5:06Speaker 1: many missteps over and over from the you know, the
- 5:09Speaker 1: bad product launches and the strange naming of the company.
- 5:13Speaker 1: We can always get into that. There's so much there,
- 5:15Speaker 1: And then there was there were complaints that she wasn't
- 5:17Speaker 1: really doing the work, like you know, pop up at
- 5:20Speaker 1: local markets, Megan with your jam, show up in like Wichita, Kansas,
- 5:25Speaker 1: and you would really make headlines if you're popped up
- 5:27Speaker 1: in like Rehobeth Beach where I am in a little
- 5:29Speaker 1: small farmer's market, Like that is what Martha Stewart used
- 5:33Speaker 1: to do, right, that's the difference. And I don't think
- 5:35Speaker 1: Meghan did that kind of work, and so the brand
- 5:37Speaker 1: has suffered to do a.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Great lesson in life. Years before I was on the
- 5:42Speaker 2: Today Show, Good Morning America, I was doing New York
- 5:44Speaker 2: one local shows. Yeah right right, my pr days. I
- 5:48Speaker 2: worked for Ashley Simpson. Her first ever live performance was
- 5:52Speaker 2: Saturday Night Life. It was too much. She should have
- 5:55Speaker 2: started on local TV. She should have started on small places,
- 6:00Speaker 2: should have started tabaret clubs and learned her craft. When
- 6:04Speaker 2: people ask me, I laugh all the time. One of
- 6:06Speaker 2: my friends and Lie Rob, get me on the Today Show,
- 6:08Speaker 2: and I'm like, I'll do you a favor. I won't.
- 6:11Speaker 2: If I do get you on, you will be terrible
- 6:13Speaker 2: because you've never done start small. This podcast now is
- 6:18Speaker 2: pretty big, thank you naughties, But we started really small.
- 6:21Speaker 2: We started really little. We were a little bit under
- 6:24Speaker 2: the radar. And a year before I did this podcast,
- 6:28Speaker 2: I got a job at Dereka Remains radio station to
- 6:31Speaker 2: learn my craft. Nobody starts as the lead violinist for
- 6:35Speaker 2: the New York film Starting Your Local Orchestra normally at school,
- 6:41Speaker 2: Alicia Keys did not start playing Madison Square guard. I
- 6:45Speaker 2: can tell you she started in little, teeny tiny clubs
- 6:48Speaker 2: on the Lower east Side. Lady Gaga, your craft. There's
- 6:56Speaker 2: nothing embarrassing about starting at the beginning. In fact, that's
- 6:59Speaker 2: a very good place to start. As Julie Andrews lyrics,
- 7:04Speaker 2: everybody don't don't run walk once that Meghan came out
- 7:11Speaker 2: at the end. She came out because of her fame.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I get it. It's difficult. She probably couldn't start at
- 7:16Speaker 2: the beginning with her. Everybody was sure, but like it
- 7:19Speaker 2: was something it was. It was right. She was taking
- 7:22Speaker 2: on the big dogs. She was taken on that the
- 7:25Speaker 2: biggest names in the industry, and that that got Gwenneth
- 7:30Speaker 2: started goops small. Goop now is a billion dollar business.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It started with a candle, just one problem. Like you've
- 7:37Speaker 2: got to Kate Spade started with one bag. You've got
- 7:40Speaker 2: to rest in peace. You've got to start small. So
- 7:43Speaker 2: it brings us to our pole question of the day,
- 7:45Speaker 2: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's much hyped Netflix renewal is
- 7:50Speaker 2: more of a pr move than a payday? Have you?
- 7:53Speaker 2: This is about you today, not then? Have you ever
- 7:56Speaker 2: hyped something to save face? Have you ever? That's what
- 8:00Speaker 2: they did here? They're hyping something that doesn't all yeah,
- 8:06Speaker 2: quite sod so good. But have you ever hype something
- 8:08Speaker 2: I know just the same face? Hey, go votes on
- 8:14Speaker 2: our Twitter page? I do. It was a nice wrong
- 8:16Speaker 2: Facebook pages gossip michure to check back on Monday to
- 8:20Speaker 2: hear your results, say, Corey, what are you working on?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yes, but there's a little bit of a birthday bash, uh,
- 8:26Speaker 1: sort of a backlash.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Story, if you will.
- 8:29Speaker 1: So Chris Ainsworth Hymsworth, you know, he had his forty
- 8:32Speaker 1: second birthday bash and it bes it was packed with
- 8:35Speaker 1: stars like Rita Aurra and of course Liam Hemsworth and
- 8:39Speaker 1: Matt Damon was there, of course, but there was no
- 8:41Speaker 1: Ben Affleck. Now that was a little peculiar because those
- 8:43Speaker 1: two are always so inseparable at big soirees and Hollywood
- 8:47Speaker 1: events and things of that nature. So sources tell hashtag
- 8:50Speaker 1: shooter Scoop that it wasn't an oversight. You know, Ben
- 8:53Speaker 1: is apparently very needy and difficult, claims one insider. He's
- 8:57Speaker 1: better on the like the one on one situations than
- 9:01Speaker 1: he is in groups. They say he drains the energy
- 9:04Speaker 1: whenever he's in groups. Now, you know, Damon and a Flag,
- 9:07Speaker 1: of course, are most Hollywood's most famous Broman's couple.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Some source of say the.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Vibe changes though when other big names are around. Now,
- 9:15Speaker 1: Matt thrives in situations where everyone's laughing and having a
- 9:19Speaker 1: good time, but Ben not so much. Ben is a
- 9:21Speaker 1: much more like sort of he sort of well the
- 9:24Speaker 1: term based they uses, like sucks the air out of
- 9:26Speaker 1: the room in a way because he's you know, so, yeah,
- 9:29Speaker 1: so he's so. But but the crew hit cassajon Dal
- 9:31Speaker 1: before heading now on yachts for champagne and dancing all
- 9:34Speaker 1: good vibes, says one another insider has told us. But
- 9:37Speaker 1: you know, probably that's exactly why Ben wasn't there, because
- 9:41Speaker 1: he does not thrive well in those situations. Now, some
- 9:43Speaker 1: people say that it was a snub that has stung Ben,
- 9:46Speaker 1: and if it were reversed, Ben would have definitely invited.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Matt to join him.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But Rob, you know, I have one thing that seems
- 9:53Speaker 1: like it's a like a big glaring note here about this,
- 9:56Speaker 1: Like it wasn't Matt Damon's birthday. I mean, I'm like, so,
- 10:01Speaker 1: you know, Matt doesn't the guest list, right.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I think it's about trying to make your friends friends
- 10:06Speaker 2: with your other friends. I have this hamby. I like
- 10:09Speaker 2: all my all my people to get along. I like
- 10:12Speaker 2: that sort of yeah. Yeah, some people would say cult,
- 10:14Speaker 2: like right, I've done this. And sometimes friends just don't
- 10:20Speaker 2: fit in. I have a friend that I've been with.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I have a friend that I've known for a really
- 10:23Speaker 2: long time, but she doesn't always fit in. She's better
- 10:26Speaker 2: one on one, she gets a little overwhelmed in these
- 10:28Speaker 2: in these big, big groups. I think you should know yourself,
- 10:32Speaker 2: like who are you? Do you like one on ones?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Do you like big groups? I like about three or
- 10:36Speaker 2: four of us. That's what I like. I don't another
- 10:39Speaker 2: table of two, but I'd love my ideal it's three
- 10:41Speaker 2: or four. Once it gets to six or eight, I'm like, oh,
- 10:44Speaker 2: it's a little much for me. Know yourself. And so
- 10:47Speaker 2: not only if this was a snub here, although Ben,
- 10:50Speaker 2: let's say he's not easy. Let's just leave it, like yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 2: moving along, the SNL cast is really angry if Pete
- 10:56Speaker 2: Davidson and they say he's more famous for dating than comedies.
- 11:00Speaker 2: This is Pete's problem here. Peter has done a new
- 11:02Speaker 2: interview and now the people at Essenel are giving him
- 11:05Speaker 2: a little bit of a side eye and sources tell
- 11:08Speaker 2: me that many castmates were over him long before this interview.
- 11:12Speaker 2: They said, he's moody, he's unpredictable, and he's never as
- 11:15Speaker 2: prepared as the rest. That's interesting. It doesn't do the
- 11:18Speaker 2: work famous for dating Ariana and Kim Kardashian than anything
- 11:22Speaker 2: he ever brought to the show. Now, once again, all
- 11:26Speaker 2: of this is bubbling up because Pete did an interview
- 11:29Speaker 2: and he said that, you know, we didn't dislike each other,
- 11:32Speaker 2: but it's a very competitive place and they aren't really
- 11:35Speaker 2: friends like I think you think of that cast as
- 11:38Speaker 2: one big, happy group. They're not. They're pitted against each other.
- 11:42Speaker 2: They have to pitch their own ideas. So every Monday,
- 11:45Speaker 2: when they start rehearsals for the next show, start preparing
- 11:48Speaker 2: for the next show, they start with picturing ideas. So
- 11:52Speaker 2: you do a show on Saturday, you probably get to
- 11:54Speaker 2: day after party, you sleep all day Sunday, and then
- 11:56Speaker 2: on Monday you start again, and you've got to walk
- 11:58Speaker 2: into that picture five or six ideas. And remember there's
- 12:04Speaker 2: only a certain amount of time. We all can't win here.
- 12:06Speaker 2: This is not one of those instants where everybody's idea
- 12:09Speaker 2: gets on the show. If I have ten great ideas.
- 12:12Speaker 2: That show is going to be the Rob Shooter show.
- 12:14Speaker 2: If you have one good idea, you ain't gonna barely
- 12:17Speaker 2: be on the show, right, they said, just didn't quite
- 12:20Speaker 2: figure all this out. I think he wanted it to
- 12:22Speaker 2: be one more like one big harmonious group, and it
- 12:27Speaker 2: wasn't that the more time you get, the less time
- 12:30Speaker 2: I get. We disagree with that. We normally say in life.
- 12:33Speaker 2: It's particularly on this show. We can succeed. You can't
- 12:36Speaker 2: in an hour. It's only an hour, and it's very competitive.
- 12:39Speaker 2: So Pete sort of explained that, I don't think in
- 12:42Speaker 2: a harsh way, but the cast is like mm hmmm.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Well, I think for us though, the viewers who are
- 12:46Speaker 1: watching SNL and who have watched it for a decade,
- 12:49Speaker 1: it looks as if it's a nice, wonderful family. So
- 12:53Speaker 1: I think the perception that maybe even Pete had before
- 12:56Speaker 1: he became famous and had the opportunity was oh wow,
- 12:58Speaker 1: Gilda Radner was with Jane Curtin, and you know, Bill
- 13:02Speaker 1: Murray was friends with Eddie Murphy and like that. But
- 13:04Speaker 1: that was not what was going on. I will say,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think this is the interview that we're talking about,
- 13:08Speaker 1: where he was on the Breakfast Club with Charlotte Nagott
- 13:11Speaker 1: and I did see some of the I did watch
- 13:13Speaker 1: some of that interview, and quite honestly, Pete talks about
- 13:16Speaker 1: the damage done to his reputation because of all the
- 13:19Speaker 1: gossip about who he was dating. He did not welcome that.
- 13:22Speaker 1: He did not welcome conversations about his penis size, which
- 13:26Speaker 1: is what took like center stage. He was very embarrassed.
- 13:29Speaker 1: He empathized with women who are reduced to just their body.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It's a really interesting interview. I don't know if the
- 13:34Speaker 1: SNL team is being fair here. He was very empathetic,
- 13:37Speaker 1: I thought, and what I saw, I thought it.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Was a great interview. But I spoke to some Pete
- 13:40Speaker 2: friends where they called me pretty much after the interview
- 13:42Speaker 2: and they were like, he loves talking about his pets.
- 13:46Speaker 2: He dated Ariana Graddy. This is not a shy person. Like,
- 13:49Speaker 2: if you don't want people to talk about your personal life,
- 13:51Speaker 2: you probably wouldn't date to Kardashia.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Well, we don't think they're going to tell you. You
- 13:55Speaker 1: don't think they're going to talk about that part though, specific.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I think this is a we've seen him and he's
- 14:01Speaker 2: Underwa's shy, I need pictures. It feels like you want
- 14:07Speaker 2: it both ways. Okay, quickly before we go to break
- 14:10Speaker 2: Corey Blake Lively snubbed from Taylor Swift celebration.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, so she was snubbed from the Showgirl celebration,
- 14:18Speaker 1: which is like the new album that Taylor announced. So
- 14:21Speaker 1: she was at Casa Cipriani. The party full of a listers,
- 14:25Speaker 1: but there was one absence, which was Blake Lively. Now,
- 14:28Speaker 1: of course, sources tell hashtag Shooter Scoop that it was
- 14:30Speaker 1: not an oversight, much like the birthday party for the
- 14:34Speaker 1: Hainsworth brothers. But you know, it was a curated list,
- 14:37Speaker 1: says one insider. Now, Blake just did not make the cut.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Apparently they were once inseparable everyone knows, but reportedly now
- 14:44Speaker 1: that has cooled down after that whole big you know,
- 14:46Speaker 1: the lawsuit going on with Justin Bani and so it's
- 14:50Speaker 1: just really not the way it used to be with
- 14:52Speaker 1: that friendship. So the show Girl is her new album.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Apparently the accidental guest list is something that Taylor Swift
- 14:59Speaker 1: does not do. Either you're invited or this is very intentional.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Yeah, she was. She was at Cassie Cipriana's, which is
- 15:05Speaker 2: this private club downtown in New York. I've been there.
- 15:08Speaker 2: It's really really beautiful. Yeah, yeah, seeing there the night
- 15:11Speaker 2: she was there. The Mayor of New York Woods was
- 15:14Speaker 2: there too, Eric Adams was She doesn't. She has her
- 15:17Speaker 2: own little group and Blake, Blake not part of this
- 15:21Speaker 2: group if you think about it, though, this was a
- 15:22Speaker 2: celebration about how well the launch, the announcement of the
- 15:26Speaker 2: album had gone, and it's going to be a huge album.
- 15:29Speaker 2: If Blake had turned up, then we wouldn't it would
- 15:31Speaker 2: have turned talking about Blake, So I understand this. It's messy.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I hate when friends fall out. Okay, we're going to
- 15:39Speaker 2: take a quick break. We're never going to fall out,
- 15:40Speaker 2: and we will be all right back. Welcome back to
- 15:44Speaker 2: the Naughty but Nice Show. Thank you for sticking with
- 15:46Speaker 2: you today. I've had a sore throat all day, my friends.
- 15:49Speaker 2: If I sound a little bit crackly on the show,
- 15:51Speaker 2: now I feel fine. I've just got a bit of
- 15:53Speaker 2: an allergies, like like a little bit of alergies going
- 15:56Speaker 2: on today. Once my pseudo fed kicks eye will be great.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Let's get to the polls Kelly Clarkson's meltdown was triggered
- 16:05Speaker 2: by her ex's relationship with her former assistant. Wow, so
- 16:09Speaker 2: we knew something was really going on here. Obviously, the
- 16:14Speaker 2: death of your ex husband is very traumatic. The guy
- 16:18Speaker 2: you share two kids with very traumatic. But that wasn't
- 16:21Speaker 2: the end of the story. There's part of this story
- 16:24Speaker 2: that is now coming out, which is he was in
- 16:27Speaker 2: a relationship when he passed with her former assistant. Now
- 16:31Speaker 2: remember this assistant worked for Kelly when she was still married,
- 16:36Speaker 2: so the timeline here is very, very fuzzy. Are you
- 16:40Speaker 2: shocked by the latest twists? That was our question. Seventy
- 16:45Speaker 2: eight percent said yes, it was shocked by this. It's amazing.
- 16:48Speaker 2: How when you pull a string to us? Oh yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 2: you never unravel? Fine, do you never know? Hey, don't
- 16:56Speaker 2: forget to vote on today's poll. Go to our I
- 17:00Speaker 2: had Naughty Nice rob our facebook pages Naughty Gossip, and
- 17:05Speaker 2: be sure to check back on Monday to hear your results.
- 17:09Speaker 2: And now it's time for our nice sist of the day. Yes.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Well, speaking of Taylor Swift again, she has shattered new
- 17:19Speaker 1: heights with her ten million views and sixteen hours of
- 17:24Speaker 1: the podcast debut that's going on now So the cruel
- 17:27Speaker 1: Summer Singer's New Heights podcast debuted with over ten million
- 17:30Speaker 1: views in just sixteen hours, and it de throned the
- 17:33Speaker 1: previous top episode held by Jason's wife, Kylie Kelsey. Now,
- 17:36Speaker 1: so Kylie's yeah, it's amazing, right, So Kylie's twenty twenty
- 17:40Speaker 1: four appearance raked up eight point six million views, now
- 17:44Speaker 1: trailing Swift by one point four million. My guy, I'd
- 17:47Speaker 1: be happy with like one hundred thousand. Can he just
- 17:48Speaker 1: give me like ten thousand of those views? I would
- 17:51Speaker 1: be so happy. But Jason thirty seven predicted the shake
- 17:54Speaker 1: up mid show, joking, I think Kylie enjoyed being number
- 17:56Speaker 1: one while she had it, and Swift, you know, she
- 17:59Speaker 1: quickly and Kylie Lavin don't do that to Kylie. So yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 1: it's really fun though for them to have that. But
- 18:04Speaker 1: you know, they are today's it girls. They are today's
- 18:07Speaker 1: They're it, they are it red. You love them, hate them?
- 18:09Speaker 1: They are it?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah, this is it. Honestly, it's sort of lovely to watch.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It reminds me I've had era in music I never
- 18:18Speaker 2: thought we'd see again. It feels like Michael Jackson in
- 18:20Speaker 2: the eighties and Madonna in the nineties, like this feels
- 18:23Speaker 2: that big. Yeah, for a long time we've had pop stars,
- 18:26Speaker 2: but the whole world hasn't been sort of watching the
- 18:29Speaker 2: same person with such a diversified world. Now we have
- 18:32Speaker 2: our own different tastes. But these numbers, it's just it's
- 18:38Speaker 2: just just staggering our nicest of the day. And now
- 18:41Speaker 2: I noticed the day MSNBC's live event is not selling
- 18:46Speaker 2: very well, including Rachel Meadow. So the event is October
- 18:49Speaker 2: eleventh here in New York City. There are tickets available,
- 18:51Speaker 2: lots of tickets available, including vipas for everybody. I think
- 18:56Speaker 2: this here is we're just all sick of politics. I
- 18:58Speaker 2: think it's just so toxic. And yeah, on the weekend,
- 19:01Speaker 2: I want to go and see Mom and Mia. Yeah yeah,
- 19:05Speaker 2: I just need a weekend to ask you can support
- 19:07Speaker 2: your causes, and you should, and you should fight for
- 19:10Speaker 2: what you believe in. These live events, though, they're tricky,
- 19:14Speaker 2: unless you're Diana Ross and you've got an act, or
- 19:16Speaker 2: unless you're Madonna and you've got an act. Putting somebody
- 19:19Speaker 2: on stage who's doing a TV show, it's a very
- 19:23Speaker 2: different skill. Bravo has done this with their Housewives, and
- 19:26Speaker 2: I went to one of them, and I know they
- 19:28Speaker 2: were very popular. It was a waste of money. Just
- 19:31Speaker 2: watch the TV shows. Yeah, yeah, I'd met Kim Kardashian,
- 19:34Speaker 2: who I really like many many times. She's more fun
- 19:37Speaker 2: on TV. Why I didn't pay money to be But
- 19:41Speaker 2: I just like, I don't know, Corey, forget your politics,
- 19:44Speaker 2: whether you are left or right or in the middle here,
- 19:46Speaker 2: I don't know if I would pay to see this.
- 19:49Speaker 2: What about you?
- 19:50Speaker 1: No? I think I think they did the one a
- 19:52Speaker 1: year ago or so, and they did well. I think
- 19:54Speaker 1: there a lot of it did really well. I think
- 19:55Speaker 1: there's some backlash though this year because MSNBC has been
- 19:59Speaker 1: scrutinized for getting rid of a lot of people who
- 20:03Speaker 1: in controversial moves. Yeah, like you know, And it was
- 20:06Speaker 1: also some backlash because of the accusations of why they
- 20:10Speaker 1: remove these people. Most of them were women, and they
- 20:12Speaker 1: were of color, and it was just it was messy. So,
- 20:15Speaker 1: you know, INSNBC, you have to maybe take a mirror
- 20:17Speaker 1: and look at themselves. If this event is not selling,
- 20:20Speaker 1: what role did they play in the public's perceptions?
- 20:24Speaker 2: Very interesting, very interesting. Okay, listen with her moment of
- 20:27Speaker 2: Ronge being ready is a myth If you wait until
- 20:32Speaker 2: you are fully prepared, you will be waiting forever. The
- 20:36Speaker 2: truth is, you start where you are, even if you
- 20:39Speaker 2: were unsure at first. You stumble, you get things wrong,
- 20:43Speaker 2: you feel awkward, but through action you learn. Each mistake
- 20:50Speaker 2: teaches you something new. Every attempt makes you stronger, and
- 20:54Speaker 2: slowly your skills and your confidence will grow. Remember, nobody
- 21:00Speaker 2: is great when they first start, So stop waiting for
- 21:04Speaker 2: the perfect moment that does not exist, and begin now,
- 21:07Speaker 2: right now. Progress only comes from doing. Hey, that is
- 21:12Speaker 2: it for this week. Thank you so much for listening
