- 1:00Speaker 1: but we're gonna catch all up on the teeth. We're
- 1:02Speaker 1: gonna get into in case you missed it, Baller mail
- 1:05Speaker 1: and we got a dope ass interview, but we'll tell
- 1:07Speaker 1: you all about that. How was your weekend? I know
- 1:12Speaker 1: it was pretty good, I I know, but are you
- 1:16Speaker 1: gonna care to share? For baller Nation faller Nation? Um,
- 1:20Speaker 1: I had a good weekend. I have a I have
- 1:25Speaker 1: a crush on somebody and we're having a good time
- 1:29Speaker 1: getting to know each other. And that's that. But for
- 1:31Speaker 1: our sentments, how was your honeymoon? My honeymoon was amazing,
- 1:35Speaker 1: except for day two. Day two, I got bit on
- 1:37Speaker 1: my forehead by something, and uh it swoll up really big,
- 1:42Speaker 1: almost like when Will Smith had that allergy reaction and
- 1:44Speaker 1: that movie. I forget what it was. And I got
- 1:46Speaker 1: bit in my left fingers. Yeah, well I was clumped up,
- 1:51Speaker 1: so I had to go. My wife took good care
- 1:53Speaker 1: of me. We had some ointment from the er room
- 1:56Speaker 1: that we wouldn't saying we should super dope, and I
- 1:59Speaker 1: was super happy to spend some good quiet time with her.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Got a little spicy with her, and yeah I am back,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and I see. Did y'all try anything now for the honeyball?
- 2:09Speaker 1: You know, I'm always trying to try something new. That's
- 2:12Speaker 1: just what we need. Three finger snaps for y'all. Let's
- 2:16Speaker 1: get into the case you miss it with your shout.
- 2:21Speaker 1: He I hadn't got his crazy tail self arrested in
- 2:24Speaker 1: Amsterdam on the third Okay, he said he was taken
- 2:28Speaker 1: into custody for using his phone while cruising through the
- 2:30Speaker 1: town and did not stop while crossing the streets and
- 2:33Speaker 1: his handlebar broke off a cop side in here, child
- 2:36Speaker 1: and anybody you could have hit. He hit a cop
- 2:38Speaker 1: in Amsterdam. Okay. He hit Instagram Lives to explain a
- 2:41Speaker 1: bit of what happened. Take a listen. So I'm locked
- 2:43Speaker 1: up now, I'm obviously not supposed to have my phone
- 2:48Speaker 1: as I'm biking, and and because the policeman ran into
- 2:53Speaker 1: me and broke his uh what is it his reviews,
- 2:57Speaker 1: you know? And because they don't didn't have my passport
- 3:01Speaker 1: on I don't know the rest, and didn't even put
- 3:04Speaker 1: me in handcuffs. We just opened the door and invited
- 3:07Speaker 1: me to the bank seat. See. I need the officers
- 3:11Speaker 1: in America to take a little less and okay, don't
- 3:14Speaker 1: use handcuffs into the back of the squad car, and
- 3:18Speaker 1: maybe we will just oblige as easily as he I did. Okay,
- 3:22Speaker 1: now living lesson, I see has a five year old
- 3:24Speaker 1: with his wife, the infamous Coco Austin. So the couple
- 3:27Speaker 1: has been all over the blogs the past two days.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I know y'all have seen it because Coco says that
- 3:32Speaker 1: she's still breastfeed there five year old and something I
- 3:34Speaker 1: don't like that now. Most people feel like the breastfeeding
- 3:37Speaker 1: stops when the baby can walk, regardless of how much
- 3:40Speaker 1: nutrition breast milk may actually be giving the child. But
- 3:44Speaker 1: what Coco said was, my child eats steaks and hamburgers.
- 3:48Speaker 1: She just likes a little snack every now and then.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's and it's more about the bonding for her than
- 3:54Speaker 1: it is about giving her breast book for nutrition. I'm
- 3:56Speaker 1: not really sure if that's helping people persuade their perception
- 3:59Speaker 1: or not. But my question is, well hurt. What she
- 4:03Speaker 1: said was Coco is saying that it's less about the description,
- 4:06Speaker 1: more about comfort her daughter wants it. So best friends,
- 4:08Speaker 1: my question to you is do you think people are
- 4:11Speaker 1: over sexualizing the fact that I see and Coco's five
- 4:14Speaker 1: year old child still gets breast fed. You'll be right
- 4:17Speaker 1: back with more of the Baller Alert Show. You're listening
- 4:21Speaker 1: to a special edition of the Baller Alert Shows. I'm
- 4:24Speaker 1: kicking in with Ferramri Simmons and Sue Solo on the
- 4:27Speaker 1: Ball Alert Show podcast. Man, the I don't even know
- 4:31Speaker 1: how to do the proper introduction this guy. You know
- 4:34Speaker 1: what I will say, I don't think that you get
- 4:36Speaker 1: the flowers that you deserve. Definitely been doing a lot
- 4:40Speaker 1: of things behind the scenes. I heard you've been ghost
- 4:43Speaker 1: riding for some famous people. What's going on? Man? Thanks
- 4:48Speaker 1: for having me, and you know, thank you for the flowers.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And you definitely deler total means totally in your business.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I hope that's okay. Now let's talk about it. But
- 4:55Speaker 1: everybody listening, just so y'all know we are talking to
- 4:57Speaker 1: dream dream bills. First need is that correct? Yeah? Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 1: that is corrects. The name is Boss. Don't forget it,
- 5:05Speaker 1: don't mispronounce it. It's boxed there you go kill that.
- 5:08Speaker 1: What's the full name? Because I need to give people
- 5:10Speaker 1: some context of where Boss comes from. The Boss is
- 5:13Speaker 1: my first name, my birth name. Um. It means lying
- 5:16Speaker 1: in Arabic. My family is from Sudan, Um, you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: so that's like Northeast Africa for those that don't know.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And and Arabic is the primary language there, so you know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: that's like we grew up speaking Africa in the house
- 5:30Speaker 1: and that's where my mother named me. See now, I'm
- 5:33Speaker 1: not gonna let that go without saying that before my
- 5:35Speaker 1: family came to America, they were into them. My family
- 5:38Speaker 1: had a business out there. They made a life for themselves.
- 5:41Speaker 1: So I'm here to see Africans really break out of
- 5:45Speaker 1: our tradition, which is what I told you on a
- 5:46Speaker 1: sidebar conversation, because we are very creative. We come from
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Motherland where where black greatness comes from. So shout
- 5:55Speaker 1: out to you, especially being signed to Dreamville. How did
- 5:58Speaker 1: that happen? Yeah? Yeah, So I was raised in Queens
- 6:03Speaker 1: from when I was about seven eight years old and
- 6:07Speaker 1: Cole ended up coming to St. John's University for his
- 6:10Speaker 1: undergrads and my brother Eve was attending St. John's at
- 6:13Speaker 1: the time, and I was like a towny I had uh,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I had pretty much just dropped out of Hampton University.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Shout out to all the h b c us out there.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Um was. It was definitely a very enlightening experience. But
- 6:26Speaker 1: I got back home and you know, I started hanging
- 6:29Speaker 1: out with my brother again, running around whooping with claim
- 6:32Speaker 1: like at the local basketball court. You can whoo I'm alright,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a great role player. I won't even
- 6:38Speaker 1: gash like I've set a good screen. I rebound, I
- 6:42Speaker 1: hit the open jumper, you know what I mean. But
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know, everybody loves playing with me. Like as asked
- 6:47Speaker 1: Cole about my screens, I said, the best screens in
- 6:49Speaker 1: the game. I say that much. Well that's probably that's
- 6:53Speaker 1: probably how we got tight, honestly on the basketball court.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And then just like that, have you j Cole played
- 7:00Speaker 1: on one on one because we know that he went
- 7:02Speaker 1: and played back home for a couple of minutes. Well
- 7:06Speaker 1: he see, he's he's he's going all the way with it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I mean, Cole is like training, he's I think back
- 7:11Speaker 1: in those days, we're all just casual, you know, casually hoping.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I think now he's just he's just far faring above
- 7:18Speaker 1: ahead everybody. I mean guys doing dribble drills and linking
- 7:22Speaker 1: up with NBA trainers. I got nothing. I got nothing
- 7:24Speaker 1: for him. Now that's over all right, So wait, go back,
- 7:29Speaker 1: he was you saying you linked over? So I used to.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I used to throw a lot of parties, things of
- 7:34Speaker 1: that nature. We should just hang out and then you know,
- 7:36Speaker 1: one day my brother Eve, who went on to manage
- 7:39Speaker 1: Cole and co founded dream Ville with him. Um, along
- 7:42Speaker 1: with Adam Rodney, who was was Col's roommate back at St. John's.
- 7:46Speaker 1: We were all just homies at that time and we
- 7:48Speaker 1: started just you know CDs back then, mixtapes were handing
- 7:51Speaker 1: handing Cole's mixtape in the neighborhood like all around Queens
- 7:55Speaker 1: and New York, just trying to put people on and
- 7:59Speaker 1: you know, they were doing the same, and you know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: eventually they landed a situation where where ho. And then
- 8:05Speaker 1: when I when I took to wrapping, um, it was
- 8:08Speaker 1: like purely accidental with some some friends of mine like
- 8:12Speaker 1: just convinced me to do it on on the MacBook
- 8:14Speaker 1: one night, like one random drunk night, to be honest,
- 8:17Speaker 1: and you know when you got like a rational confidence,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and uh, it just kind of sparked a bugging me.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I had never had, you know, an outlet for creative
- 8:26Speaker 1: expression before, and so I just I caught the itch.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And then I would just wake up every day and
- 8:31Speaker 1: work on my craft and then you know, I would
- 8:33Speaker 1: send my brother some records and then you know, one
- 8:35Speaker 1: day cold called me like man, like, you know, do
- 8:37Speaker 1: you do you understand what you're doing, like because it
- 8:40Speaker 1: was just so raw at the time. He was like,
- 8:41Speaker 1: this is like completely you. I hear I hear you,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I know you, and this, you know, that's the most
- 8:46Speaker 1: impressive part of of like finding your artistry. And he's
- 8:49Speaker 1: like everything else is just like a developmental process. He's like,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you know, just start coming on on the road with me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And I started hitting the road with him. I started
- 8:58Speaker 1: working with like his band, his keyboard player Ron Gilmore Um,
- 9:02Speaker 1: his stage manager Cedra Brown, who was a childhood friend
- 9:05Speaker 1: of Cole's. Um. They were like kind of aspiring producers
- 9:09Speaker 1: and I was like the aspiring rapper on the bus.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So we kind of started forming my sound um and
- 9:16Speaker 1: you know, like three years later, when cold of the
- 9:19Speaker 1: Interscope deal, He's like, you know, I want you to
- 9:20Speaker 1: be my first artist, and you know, it was a
- 9:22Speaker 1: no brainer. So it's really a family affair, like from
- 9:25Speaker 1: the ground up. It honestly just seems you know. My
- 9:28Speaker 1: question to you is, I wonder what was so different
- 9:31Speaker 1: about you that made you his first signing. I mean,
- 9:34Speaker 1: we've seen J Cole work with so many talented people
- 9:37Speaker 1: support them, but why were you the first sign you know,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's it's interesting because, um, the familiarity works for you
- 9:48Speaker 1: and it works against you in a lot of ways,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you know, because you don't want to be biased, especially
- 9:52Speaker 1: when there's a lot of things at stake and money
- 9:54Speaker 1: being invested in all types of things. So um, but
- 9:58Speaker 1: you know, I do vividly remember around Cole's second album,
- 10:01Speaker 1: Born Center, he was going to play songs for guys
- 10:06Speaker 1: who really looked up to just playing his album for
- 10:08Speaker 1: like No Idea and salam Remi and you know, just
- 10:12Speaker 1: guys who are have an incredible footprint on our culture
- 10:15Speaker 1: and an incredible legacy, and he would play their album.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And you know, this is a true testament to Cole
- 10:21Speaker 1: that that after he was done playing his album, he'd
- 10:24Speaker 1: be like, Yo, you know there's just kid from Queen's
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm rocking with, Like I want to play you a
- 10:28Speaker 1: few songs and see what you think type of deal.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And you know, both times he played it, uh, you know,
- 10:35Speaker 1: both of them were we're just we're very impressed and
- 10:37Speaker 1: we're interested in in signing me at the time, and
- 10:41Speaker 1: I think that was like the first purely objective co sign,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you know, because we all just came up together and
- 10:48Speaker 1: I think that kind of changed a lot of things
- 10:50Speaker 1: because from then on I just saw like a different
- 10:52Speaker 1: a different fire in a sense of a different level
- 10:55Speaker 1: of of belief. But obviously at the time, Cole hadn't
- 10:58Speaker 1: put out Born Center yet, so those you know, no
- 11:01Speaker 1: labels gonna give you a full label situation off of
- 11:04Speaker 1: one album. But then you know, right after that he
- 11:07Speaker 1: dropped Born Center, and then it was like, you know,
- 11:09Speaker 1: every label wanted to be Dreamville's home. So, um, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: I was just blessed to be in that position, being
- 11:16Speaker 1: that situation, get to really developed as an artist, as
- 11:19Speaker 1: a performer, um, you know, and learn learn a bunch
- 11:22Speaker 1: of things from the guys around me who had really
- 11:25Speaker 1: put in, you know, ten thousand hours and mastered their craft.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Let me inter Jack, because you said you right at
- 11:31Speaker 1: the end was with me. Be my next question. You're
- 11:33Speaker 1: around Cole, You're around Coal, and the whole situation came.
- 11:37Speaker 1: You're around Cole and he becomes one of the best
- 11:41Speaker 1: lyricists of our time. I always say this to me,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I feel like he's my jay Z. You know, I
- 11:47Speaker 1: didn't grow up listening to jay Z like that, but
- 11:49Speaker 1: I grew up listening to Cold You know what I mean.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And I loved how Cold carries himself. And I can
- 11:56Speaker 1: kind of tell like, you're very well diverse, You're you're
- 12:00Speaker 1: a nice, calm collective. The energy seems really genuine coming
- 12:04Speaker 1: from us. You know, we interview everybody, so I can
- 12:07Speaker 1: tell you have a very high level of competence. My
- 12:10Speaker 1: question to you is how much is that you? And
- 12:13Speaker 1: how much is that what you've learned from being a
- 12:15Speaker 1: fly on the wall and being around the Cold. A
- 12:19Speaker 1: lot of that is definitely what I've learned, um from
- 12:22Speaker 1: being around Cole and even the whole dream billers. There's
- 12:24Speaker 1: so many talented musicians and producers that are part of
- 12:27Speaker 1: our camp that really helped speed up, um, you know,
- 12:31Speaker 1: my my learning curve in a sense, just because I
- 12:34Speaker 1: was able to be around and be a sponge and
- 12:37Speaker 1: sit in these sessions and even the first tours Cole
- 12:40Speaker 1: brought me on, I wasn't performing. I was just riding
- 12:43Speaker 1: the bus and working on music and watching him perform
- 12:46Speaker 1: every night. Or you know, one of those tours was
- 12:49Speaker 1: the Club Paradise tour that Drake did that one summer
- 12:53Speaker 1: and it was like Drake, Cole, Meek, mill Walker, Flocker
- 12:57Speaker 1: to change French Montana. You know, it was like a
- 13:00Speaker 1: be there to run and I'm just on that tour,
- 13:02Speaker 1: watching everybody every night, you know, taking notes, seeing what
- 13:07Speaker 1: parts of songwriting you know, are is the crowd resonating
- 13:11Speaker 1: with you know, what moments you can create in a
- 13:14Speaker 1: live show, like all those things were invaluable for sure.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So I mean that that gave me a lot of confidence.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And then once you start doing it and you build
- 13:22Speaker 1: your own fan base and you start selling your tickets
- 13:25Speaker 1: to your shows and they show up and they know
- 13:27Speaker 1: every word, you know, every step it away, Um is
- 13:30Speaker 1: a confidence builder even even now, you know, even like
- 13:35Speaker 1: doing a song like the Jackie, which which to me
- 13:37Speaker 1: is like I had the intention to want to create
- 13:40Speaker 1: a bigger record, you know. I think usually I make
- 13:43Speaker 1: my album and I'll pick the single out of it afterwards.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And this is one of those times where I had
- 13:49Speaker 1: a lot of the album done and I said, you
- 13:51Speaker 1: know what, I want to make the singles. I want
- 13:53Speaker 1: to craft them specifically for what I'm trying to do,
- 13:56Speaker 1: for the effect I'm trying to have to to kind
- 13:58Speaker 1: of reach a new frontier in my career. Like you
- 14:01Speaker 1: said earlier about you know, giving me my flowers and
- 14:04Speaker 1: kind of being slept on, Like I'm aware of that,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and in ways like I want to break out of that,
- 14:09Speaker 1: you know, I want to I want to put my
- 14:11Speaker 1: stamp on it. I want to create these big records
- 14:14Speaker 1: that you need to to reach a certain audience and
- 14:17Speaker 1: and reach a certain level of you know, a claim
- 14:19Speaker 1: and notoriety. So you know, I try to be intentional
- 14:22Speaker 1: about all these things. I think the difference is you're
- 14:25Speaker 1: actually creating in an organic following. You know what I'm saying,
- 14:28Speaker 1: people are really getting to know who you are, not
- 14:30Speaker 1: only as a person, but as an artist in his
- 14:33Speaker 1: purest form. You are. You don't seem to be one
- 14:36Speaker 1: of those artists who was tainted, somebody who was trying
- 14:39Speaker 1: to be pulled in directions that he doesn't want to
- 14:41Speaker 1: go in. So what are you thinking is about your
- 14:44Speaker 1: sound that's really drawing people to you because you you're
- 14:46Speaker 1: really selling our shows like you you you are selling
- 14:49Speaker 1: shows that yeah, well, you know, I think the beauty
- 14:52Speaker 1: of it is like having a very like multicultural background.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Um as far as my ties to the African continent,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you know, I spent five years and in my early
- 15:02Speaker 1: childhood in Paris, um and then I have four older
- 15:07Speaker 1: siblings who spent you know, varying degrees of their life
- 15:10Speaker 1: all over the world. So my my oldest brother's name
- 15:13Speaker 1: is DJ MoMA he um, he's probably my biggest musical source.
- 15:18Speaker 1: He spent you know, eighteen years in France by the
- 15:21Speaker 1: time we left, and he was putting me onto like
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know, French house and UK garage and you know,
- 15:27Speaker 1: now he put me on a like ma piano out
- 15:30Speaker 1: of South Africa and like a bunch of like African
- 15:33Speaker 1: artists and things of that nature. Um. So I think
- 15:36Speaker 1: when I create, when I've realized this, all of those
- 15:39Speaker 1: things come out in my sound, all of those textures,
- 15:42Speaker 1: all of those influences, Um, they've they've become my sound.
- 15:46Speaker 1: So I think it just keeps me out of a box,
- 15:49Speaker 1: that keeps it open, and it keeps it exciting for
- 15:51Speaker 1: my fan base that they never really know, you know,
- 15:54Speaker 1: what they're gonna get, and that that's the beauty of it.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Like even you know, with the Jackie, I'm conscious also
- 15:59Speaker 1: to make those records without my core being like who
- 16:02Speaker 1: the hell is this guy? Who is this guy? I
- 16:04Speaker 1: don't know this guy? This isn't a guy like I
- 16:06Speaker 1: grew up with, I've been listening to since I was
- 16:08Speaker 1: in high school, etcetera. It's all natural, it's organic. But
- 16:13Speaker 1: but again it still has to be an evolution. Now,
- 16:16Speaker 1: let's talk about the Jackie a little t J. J.
- 16:18Speaker 1: J Cole. Of course we know that J. Cole. Where
- 16:21Speaker 1: did the little T J Coo come from? You know?
- 16:24Speaker 1: I just thought his he I wanted a New York
- 16:26Speaker 1: artist on it um because it's kind of like a
- 16:29Speaker 1: New York summertime story. And then t js Cadence his
- 16:34Speaker 1: melodies I just thought would fit that like bright sonic
- 16:38Speaker 1: sound that that t I that T minus set up
- 16:41Speaker 1: for us. Also, I don't think I've ever really heard
- 16:43Speaker 1: t J on a on a beat like that, you know.
- 16:46Speaker 1: And and to me, that's the funnest thing about collaborating
- 16:50Speaker 1: is how do I how do I bring these artists
- 16:52Speaker 1: into my world, you know, in a way where they
- 16:55Speaker 1: fit organically, they don't sound out of pocket. And that's
- 16:57Speaker 1: always like the puzzle and and the and doing it honestly.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And and you know, the kid's twenty years old, he's
- 17:05Speaker 1: ripping it up. One of the biggest artists out of
- 17:07Speaker 1: the city. You just love to see something like that
- 17:09Speaker 1: and and support it. We know that afrobeats is on
- 17:12Speaker 1: a high right now. You know a lot of people
- 17:14Speaker 1: are starting to tap back into the motherland Africa, But
- 17:18Speaker 1: you don't fall into the afrobeats sound to me. Of course,
- 17:23Speaker 1: being African, I hear your influences, which is why I
- 17:26Speaker 1: asked what I asked. But I think going back to
- 17:30Speaker 1: you know, you wanting to have that record that helps
- 17:32Speaker 1: you reach different crowds. I get that, But I will
- 17:35Speaker 1: say I stand firm on the fact that what you're
- 17:38Speaker 1: doing I think has a lot more longevity because it
- 17:40Speaker 1: is really organic. It is the people that are attracted
- 17:45Speaker 1: to you are attracted because of the creativity. Like I
- 17:49Speaker 1: don't even know what I don't know what to call
- 17:52Speaker 1: your style, you know, And I love that. I love
- 17:54Speaker 1: that it doesn't fit into one mold. Yeah I do too.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I do too, and and and I agree. And that's why,
- 18:01Speaker 1: you know, that's the art in it, you know. It's
- 18:04Speaker 1: it's trying to set these goals for yourself creatively and
- 18:08Speaker 1: you know, execute them in a way where you keep
- 18:10Speaker 1: your artistic integrity, you know. And I've never felt like
- 18:14Speaker 1: ot straight from that, and you know, hopefully I never
- 18:18Speaker 1: willed all right, that's that's the goal. But it's been
- 18:20Speaker 1: it's been a lot of fun creating these records a
- 18:23Speaker 1: little differently. You know, when we made the song at
- 18:25Speaker 1: the time, we were working on the off season. Um.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Obviously the content and the sound of that album is
- 18:33Speaker 1: is a bit moodier and deeper, and and it's you know,
- 18:37Speaker 1: we wanted to make a lighthearted record during those sessions
- 18:39Speaker 1: because we're just like really deep into this like soulful album. UM. So,
- 18:44Speaker 1: you know, it's just good to have diversity. Like you said,
- 18:47Speaker 1: I if you can't put me in the box and
- 18:49Speaker 1: I'm doing something right yeah, wait, wait, wait, don't don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: think you're gonna get up out of here, but I'll
- 18:54Speaker 1: be asking you. You know, let's talk about this hair man,
- 18:57Speaker 1: like I'm always used to grow you know, uh, what
- 19:02Speaker 1: made you man? A few things? You know, I'm missed
- 19:07Speaker 1: wearing hats first and foremost. You know, I'm miss wearing
- 19:11Speaker 1: my good Yankee you know New York with that had all.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Let me just say that, you know, like I've missed
- 19:17Speaker 1: this part of my life right here. I'm gonna keep
- 19:19Speaker 1: it on for the rest of this um. But no, also,
- 19:23Speaker 1: just you know I had to throw for like four
- 19:25Speaker 1: or five years. Man, I'm a Gemini. We may getting
- 19:28Speaker 1: pulsive decisions and just go for change. I can't be
- 19:31Speaker 1: in the same space for too long. Um. And I
- 19:35Speaker 1: was just something I just felt like doing one day.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And for the first three days I woke up like, man,
- 19:40Speaker 1: what did you do? And then on the fourth day
- 19:41Speaker 1: I was like, man, that's sly, I'm liking it. And
- 19:44Speaker 1: now I'm all the way converted. I don't know what's next.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I guess the answers My question, is Boston a relationship?
- 19:50Speaker 1: But you kind of already said you can't stay nothing
- 19:52Speaker 1: too loud, you get coming every No, that's I mean,
- 19:56Speaker 1: that's that's not true. I am, I am, I am committed.
- 20:00Speaker 1: We like you are in the committed relationship. I am, yes, sir, okay, yes,
- 20:10Speaker 1: go ahead and say her name then since you commit. No,
- 20:12Speaker 1: you know, I like to keep things probably, but I'll
- 20:15Speaker 1: give you that much. You know, we with and we
- 20:19Speaker 1: with it. Now. Is she somebody that we would know
- 20:22Speaker 1: if you were to say her name? No? Did she
- 20:25Speaker 1: from New York? Nope? I wish you from New Orleans?
- 20:30Speaker 1: Then that somebody from the south. Huh about this versus
- 20:36Speaker 1: last night? Did you think that deep set was gonna
- 20:40Speaker 1: wash the Locks? And got surprised with Jada, you know,
- 20:44Speaker 1: never surprised. You know, I'm from New York. Like, let's
- 20:47Speaker 1: let's talk about it. You know, Jada's Jada is one
- 20:50Speaker 1: of the best we've ever had, you know, And and
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm happy that he's he's getting his flowers amongst the
- 20:56Speaker 1: whole new generation and amongst it's like you know, digital
- 21:00Speaker 1: digital media age. I don't think the Locks really had
- 21:02Speaker 1: a viral moment until last night, and it was well deserved.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And it was a showcase. Man, they put on the
- 21:08Speaker 1: clinic as far as performing stage presidents confidence like you know,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and not not not to even like disrespect nobody, but
- 21:16Speaker 1: you watch a lot of clips from live shows and
- 21:19Speaker 1: all the festivals are coming back now, and you're like, man, like,
- 21:23Speaker 1: there's a lost art of performance that's that's kind of
- 21:25Speaker 1: missing them amongst a lot of the youth these days,
- 21:28Speaker 1: where they're just playing their record. They got their vocals
- 21:31Speaker 1: in the record. It's not even like a TV track,
- 21:33Speaker 1: it's not a show track, he said, no vocals. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 1: look at look at Jade up there, breath control like
- 21:41Speaker 1: he's he's he's he's older than all these young cats,
- 21:44Speaker 1: like breath control, all of that spitting flawlessly. Um. I'm
- 21:48Speaker 1: happy that that was really appreciated. That was good for
- 21:52Speaker 1: New York too, by the way, it was big. It
- 21:56Speaker 1: was big for sure. I want to see gen unit
- 21:58Speaker 1: on the verses now. I I want to see fifty
- 22:01Speaker 1: cent versus. J'all rude. Oh, that might get spicy, that
- 22:06Speaker 1: might get like Gucci Jeezy levels of spicy. That's what
- 22:10Speaker 1: we need. We need at this point. That's from last night.
- 22:12Speaker 1: We need a I need a shocker. Yeah, yeah, I
- 22:15Speaker 1: would love to see it. I would love to see it.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm just shot that nobody got to swing in on
- 22:22Speaker 1: the versus battle, which they said in the lot, because
- 22:24Speaker 1: because it was really aggressive for me, and you know
- 22:26Speaker 1: how y'all New Yorkers do, y'all, y'all, Yeah, I just
- 22:28Speaker 1: got nature. Yeah yeah, I mean that was like to me,
- 22:31Speaker 1: that was like a barbershop argument about sports. You know,
- 22:34Speaker 1: in New York they get that aggressive. So I think
- 22:37Speaker 1: people know how to get aggressive in New York without
- 22:40Speaker 1: getting too physical. It's just part of the nature of
- 22:43Speaker 1: just how we communicate, y'all. Yeah, y'all stay out of Atlanta.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Please all that aggressive look look you Africa, you from
- 22:51Speaker 1: New York. You know I'm twice as fast. Then we
- 22:58Speaker 1: appreciate you. Gotta to think us soon, Plea, get at
- 23:00Speaker 1: it much much love, Thanks for having me. Later, We'll
- 23:04Speaker 1: be right back. Stay tuned with more of the baller
- 23:07Speaker 1: Alert show message And now it is time for a
- 23:14Speaker 1: baller mail. Oh my god, I could be. All I
- 23:19Speaker 1: gotta do is go through my d M and you
- 23:20Speaker 1: can feel free to DM me. It's all of course.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Um uh, you know I'm not gonna tell a soul. Okay, privacy,
- 23:28Speaker 1: disclose your alert. Hey, Rory, I am a middle aged
- 23:31Speaker 1: Caucasian woman and I am addicted to black man. I
- 23:37Speaker 1: am currently a relations with relationship with a Caucasian man,
- 23:40Speaker 1: but I can't stop fantasizing about African American men. I
- 23:45Speaker 1: am heavily, heavily considering leaving my man to experience making
- 23:50Speaker 1: love to an African American man. What are your things
- 23:54Speaker 1: I could do to get over this or to get
- 23:58Speaker 1: through this yourself? Well, what I'll tell you, Sandy is
- 24:03Speaker 1: it is not uncommon to um to thirst for an
- 24:07Speaker 1: African American men because our men are amazing. Okay, African
- 24:11Speaker 1: American men are are the creme de la creme. Okay,
- 24:14Speaker 1: they are the kings of all kings. So I can
- 24:17Speaker 1: understand why you want to get your rocks off with
- 24:20Speaker 1: an African American man. Now, I can't tell you how
- 24:22Speaker 1: to get over it, because I don't think that's anything
- 24:23Speaker 1: you can get over. Okay, Well, when you want a
- 24:25Speaker 1: black man, you just want a black man. They're just
- 24:27Speaker 1: that amazing. What I can tell you is, I don't
- 24:31Speaker 1: know if you need to be leaving your relationship, you know, uh,
- 24:37Speaker 1: just because you have this fantasy of being with a
- 24:40Speaker 1: with a black man. I think maybe you talk to
- 24:43Speaker 1: you a man and see if you can need the
- 24:44Speaker 1: hall pass. Just need give you the hall pass. Don't don't,
- 24:47Speaker 1: don't destroy your home, you know, just to go see
- 24:51Speaker 1: what a man didn't go talking about, because it's probably
- 24:53Speaker 1: really what you want. You're probably really looking for the
- 24:55Speaker 1: men didn't go this. And you know what, Sandy, I'm
- 24:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave it at that. That's all I'm gonna say.
- 24:59Speaker 1: That's all I got. Yeah, I really don't have nothing
- 25:03Speaker 1: for you. Besides, you know, if you decide to leave
- 25:05Speaker 1: your man, just be prepared for whatever happens with that.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I feel like, if you have a happy, stable, good
- 25:11Speaker 1: relationship and your feticizing, I don't know if that's a
- 25:16Speaker 1: smart decision to make. And you're a middle age woman,
- 25:19Speaker 1: so that means you know, responsibility. I don't know if
- 25:22Speaker 1: you have kids or stuff like that, that ain't nothing
- 25:24Speaker 1: worth uh you, you know, trying to figure out this
- 25:28Speaker 1: is something you probably you to figure it out when
- 25:29Speaker 1: you use earlier on in life. Now, if you're just
- 25:32Speaker 1: so happen to be single and you can do whatever
- 25:34Speaker 1: you want with your box, Um, yeah, you might want
- 25:37Speaker 1: to ask for a hall pass, you might want to
- 25:39Speaker 1: ask for all pass or something. Uh, but I don't
- 25:44Speaker 1: know what to tell you. This might be the first
- 25:46Speaker 1: ballermail or when I really don't have no advice, be um,
- 25:51Speaker 1: don't throw away, especially if you have something good at home.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I don't really think you should be over here worried
- 25:57Speaker 1: about stuff like that. I mean, the grass is any
- 26:00Speaker 1: where you water it. Say that, say that what I'm
- 26:04Speaker 1: saying necessarily good advice. You know, you might get your
- 26:07Speaker 1: rocks off and be like, oh my god, oh my god,
- 26:09Speaker 1: the hell? You don't know what what that may bring you?
- 26:12Speaker 1: You know, on the other hand, so I don't necessary.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I'm not wanting the person to tell you to leave
- 26:17Speaker 1: the person in relationship with just to go find how
- 26:21Speaker 1: that feels. I don't think that's a good idea. Now,
- 26:23Speaker 1: if you're still happened to break up and you want
- 26:26Speaker 1: to go get your rocks off yet, go ahead, definitely
- 26:28Speaker 1: do that. But I wouldn't recommend breaking up with your
- 26:32Speaker 1: guys just I'd rather you just keeping one hunter and
- 26:35Speaker 1: be like, hey, this is what I feel, this is
- 26:37Speaker 1: what I want to do. Can you help let me
- 26:39Speaker 1: get through this. I don't know how to tell no
- 26:42Speaker 1: white woman how to get so I don't I don't
- 26:45Speaker 1: want nothing for her, but y'all yeah, stay yeah is
- 26:54Speaker 1: that okay? But I said for her, but want to
- 27:00Speaker 1: get the ball official podcasts, Thank you so much. Yeah,
- 27:04Speaker 1: let's go on, let's go a head, get up out

- 28:12Speaker 1: or any issues, because you guys are really, really, really
