- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We are coming off not a good but a great
- 0:23Speaker 1: football weekend.
- 0:24Speaker 3: It was amazing.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Saturday, even Sunday morning was good. I mean, Even the
- 0:29Speaker 1: game across the pond, Eagles and Jaguars, was fantastic. And
- 0:34Speaker 1: we finish it off tonight with Rams-Bills. We'll get to
- 0:37Speaker 1: that in just a second. We have the weekend observations
- 0:40Speaker 1: coming up here in just a few minutes, 15 minutes
- 0:44Speaker 1: or so.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Charles McDonald as well.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And we'll do some college football in hour number two
- 0:48Speaker 1: with T-Bob and the Bears.
- 0:51Speaker 3: The Bears. I called them the Bears.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I made them a football team. Anyway, Rams bills coming
- 0:59Speaker 1: up tonight, guys. We have had games that were really,
- 1:02Speaker 1: really hyped up, headed into the game, Alabama, Georgia, and
- 1:06Speaker 1: it lived up to the hype. We had Seattle and
- 1:09Speaker 1: San Francisco, a game everyone was excited to see.
- 1:11Speaker 3: And man, did that game deliver.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And I'm wondering, do you guys think tonight, because you
- 1:16Speaker 1: have Stafford, you have Josh Allen, you might have the
- 1:19Speaker 1: game of the weekend. Do you think tonight's game will
- 1:22Speaker 1: live up to the expectations that we have for it?
- 1:26Speaker 4: I think San Francisco and Seattle was the game of
- 1:29Speaker 4: the week of the year until tonight. I think tonight
- 1:33Speaker 4: is going to be all the fireworks that we want
- 1:35Speaker 4: it to be. the, it's just going to be so
- 1:38Speaker 4: much offense. I, the bills are allowing so many pet
- 1:43Speaker 4: 275 passing yards a game. They're allowing over two and
- 1:46Speaker 4: a half touchdowns a game through the air. And I
- 1:49Speaker 4: just think Matt Stafford is going to do it. And
- 1:51Speaker 4: we all know Josh Allen. Once he gets going, he can,
- 1:55Speaker 4: he could score with the best of them. The Rams
- 1:58Speaker 4: are going to be without, you know, Miles Garrett, obviously.
- 2:01Speaker 4: I could just see this game being another. The last
- 2:03Speaker 4: time they played, it was 44-42 or something like that.
- 2:06Speaker 4: And I could see it being just like that tonight.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I'm excited.
- 2:09Speaker 5: So I'm on FanDuel right now, and the Rams are
- 2:11Speaker 5: a minus three and a half point favorite at home,
- 2:14Speaker 5: basically just telling you that these two teams would be
- 2:17Speaker 5: pretty much dead even on a neutral field. The minus
- 2:21Speaker 5: 176 on the money line, the over-under is 54 and
- 2:23Speaker 5: a half. I'm looking at the standings. And I think
- 2:27Speaker 5: you can make the case that this is approaching must-win
- 2:30Speaker 5: territory for the Rams.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Because the NFC West, the 49ers are 5-0.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yep.
- 2:37Speaker 5: The Seahawks are 3-2.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:39Speaker 5: And then the Rams, if they lose this game, they
- 2:41Speaker 5: would go to 2-3. And I think that's why there's
- 2:44Speaker 5: more of a sense of urgency on this Rams side,
- 2:47Speaker 5: where if the Bills lose, the Bills would go to 3-2,
- 2:50Speaker 5: the Patriots are already 3-2, and then the Jets are 2-3,
- 2:54Speaker 5: and nobody really trusts the jets and what Aaron Glenn
- 2:56Speaker 5: is doing.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Especially Jeff fans.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Go ahead, Mike.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I certainly don't, but just to counter that a little bit,
- 3:04Speaker 4: at least for the Rams, you can say coming up
- 3:06Speaker 4: it's Cardinals at the Raiders against the chargers at the
- 3:10Speaker 4: commanders at the Cardinals against the Packers. And at some
- 3:14Speaker 4: point in that, you're probably going to get Miles Garrett back.
- 3:18Speaker 4: So what you have to do is you just kind
- 3:19Speaker 4: of we give out our floaty award on God bless
- 3:22Speaker 4: football for the backup quarterback that keeps you afloat.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I think the Rams just have to just keep their
- 3:28Speaker 4: head above water right now through this tough part of
- 3:30Speaker 4: the year because I think they're about to go on
- 3:31Speaker 4: a run.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Taylor, I agree with you. The game is more important
- 3:35Speaker 1: for the Rams than it is for the Bills. But
- 3:36Speaker 1: I would just tell you this. If Drake May is
- 3:39Speaker 1: going to play like that and the Patriots offense is
- 3:41Speaker 1: going to be that good, the Patriots are going to
- 3:43Speaker 1: be overwhelming for the remainder of the season.
- 3:46Speaker 3: You know the defense is good. Mikey, you're making a face.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I know we don't like to compliment the Patriots, but
- 3:51Speaker 1: Drake May is out of his mind the last two weeks.
- 3:54Speaker 4: He had a really good week against a, a subpar
- 3:58Speaker 4: defense with the Raiders. The Raiders have been fun the
- 4:00Speaker 4: first few weeks, but most of that has come from
- 4:02Speaker 4: their offense. Let's not, let's not go overboard the way
- 4:06Speaker 4: we went overboard with declaring Drake may dead. Let's not
- 4:09Speaker 4: go overboard with declaring.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Him all the way back.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Okay. It's probably somewhere in the middle.
- 4:14Speaker 5: The revisionist history that we do with Drake may in
- 4:17Speaker 5: this Patriot team is unbelievable where Now all of a
- 4:20Speaker 5: sudden the Raiders have not that great of a defense
- 4:22Speaker 5: when Max Crosby was dominating early in the season and
- 4:27Speaker 5: Drake May goes through this Raiders defense like a... knife
- 4:32Speaker 5: through hot butter.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Is that what you were searching for you could think
- 4:38Speaker 3: of anything else.
- 4:38Speaker 5: No that was the thing that i could think of
- 4:41Speaker 5: that was easy but you almost.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Forgot it be sure to catch live editions of stew
- 4:44Speaker 2: gods and company live weekdays at 3 p.m eastern 12
- 4:48Speaker 2: p.m pacific on fox sports radio and the iheart radio app.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Week five of the NFL there's there's certain results that
- 4:57Speaker 5: you look at and say this this was a lie
- 5:00Speaker 5: or I don't really trust the result that I'm seeing
- 5:03Speaker 5: like the Lions defense all of a sudden being good
- 5:06Speaker 5: and shutting down the Cardinals I don't think anybody actually
- 5:09Speaker 5: trusts the Lions defense once they have to go up
- 5:11Speaker 5: against another team so I was wondering what result from
- 5:15Speaker 5: this weekend do you guys trust the most or feel
- 5:18Speaker 5: like we learn the most because I think my nominee
- 5:20Speaker 5: is I kind of wrote off this Packers team and
- 5:24Speaker 5: thinking that the Packers wouldn't be contenders in the NFC North.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I feel like what I saw from Jordan Love and
- 5:30Speaker 5: then you would figure they're going to get Micah Parsons
- 5:32Speaker 5: back almost any week now. I think this Packers team,
- 5:36Speaker 5: I'm willing to hear them more out as a contender.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Really? LeFleur, he has won you back.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, with wins over Tampa Bay at Tampa
- 5:45Speaker 1: with Jalen Daniels playing quarterback, not Jaden, Jalon Daniels playing quarterback,
- 5:50Speaker 1: and a win yesterday against the Bears without Caleb Williams.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Yeah, but the NFC North, it's like Ben Johnson deserves
- 5:56Speaker 5: a lot of credit for bringing some of that hatred
- 5:59Speaker 5: back to this Packers-Bears rivalry.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:01Speaker 5: And even though he didn't have Caleb Williams, that was
- 6:05Speaker 5: the worst loss of the Ben Johnson era where Ben
- 6:07Speaker 5: Johnson got served up some humble pie. Yes.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Is it a cop-out to say the most truthful result
- 6:15Speaker 4: of the weekend was the tie between Washington and the
- 6:18Speaker 4: Giants because neither of them is any good and.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Neither of them is that bad?
- 6:24Speaker 1: I think the biggest indictment on Jaden Daniels and him
- 6:27Speaker 1: botching that at the end of the game and he
- 6:29Speaker 1: could blame Dan Quinn all he wants is, is I
- 6:31Speaker 1: am telling you, as crazy as Jameis Winston is, Jameis
- 6:35Speaker 1: Winston would have known time, down, distance, and would have
- 6:39Speaker 1: gotten that thing done. I still can't believe that Jaden
- 6:42Speaker 1: Daniels lacks so much awareness that he didn't realize that
- 6:47Speaker 1: they had no timeouts left and didn't realize the situation
- 6:50Speaker 1: of the game.
- 6:51Speaker 3: It's crazy, man.
- 6:53Speaker 4: And I would also say that Jameis Winston would be
- 6:55Speaker 4: the first to go into the press conference afterwards and go,
- 6:58Speaker 4: that's on me.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I should know better. I did it wrong. Jaden Daniels.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Come on, man.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Ball's in your hands. You got to know.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Even if your coach told you run a play, spike
- 7:08Speaker 4: it and be like, what are you talking about?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yes. So, Taylor, what exactly are you asking here?
- 7:13Speaker 3: What result do we trust the most? Either way, win
- 7:15Speaker 3: or loss. Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 5: What result was the most validating? Like, I think you
- 7:18Speaker 5: can make the argument staying in the NFC North that
- 7:20Speaker 5: the Minnesota Vikings, like everybody wants to poo poo the
- 7:22Speaker 5: fact that this Minnesota Vikings team. just keeps on winning
- 7:26Speaker 5: like the more comfortable kyler murray looks in kevin o'connell's
- 7:30Speaker 5: offense again i could start talking myself into the vikings
- 7:33Speaker 5: actually being a contender with that brian floor's defense uh.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Can you guys talk yourselves into the steelers being any
- 7:38Speaker 1: kind of good no too far i mean aaron rogers
- 7:42Speaker 1: is good man he's played well mikey he has played.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Well he hasn't beaten anybody I mean.
- 7:49Speaker 3: He beat the Colts.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Yay.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I mean... He beat the Bengals.
- 7:54Speaker 5: The Colts losing is.
- 7:57Speaker 4: And what are the Bengals? The Bengals were within a
- 8:00Speaker 4: score of losing to the Miami Dolphins.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So you're saying I can't trust what I saw with
- 8:06Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers yesterday is what you're telling me.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You want to trust it.
- 8:10Speaker 4: You want to trust it. You go for it. The
- 8:12Speaker 4: result to me, that Jacksonville Jaguars team is good.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Yes.
- 8:17Speaker 4: And they can beat you in a lot of ways.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:19Speaker 4: That's the result where I go, you know what?
- 8:21Speaker 3: Yeah. The AFC.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I think it's going to go through Kansas City, but
- 8:25Speaker 4: it might go through a stadium that's going to be
- 8:27Speaker 4: half closed for renovation.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yes, I could tell Nick Sirianni this. Jacksonville doesn't need
- 8:32Speaker 1: your help. And yet you felt the need to give
- 8:37Speaker 1: them some help regardless. It's ridiculous. Who's the first coach
- 8:50Speaker 1: getting fired here? Who do you think it is? Because
- 8:52Speaker 1: I don't think Sirianni's getting fired. I think you guys
- 8:54Speaker 1: are crazy. I think Sirianni will be back next season
- 8:57Speaker 1: as the Eagles head coach. In fact, I think the
- 8:59Speaker 1: Eagles win that division.
- 9:00Speaker 3: How about that?
- 9:03Speaker 5: Taylor it's got to be dan quinn i'm like i'm
- 9:07Speaker 5: shocked that we have not gotten a notification from adam
- 9:10Speaker 5: schefter yet that dan quinn hasn't been fired i i
- 9:14Speaker 5: would have not left let him leave the building yesterday
- 9:17Speaker 5: without being fired right.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And if you were in london you would have left
- 9:19Speaker 1: him there right because you love doing that yeah right.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Apart from john harbaugh the entire nfc east coaching staff
- 9:26Speaker 4: might get.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Fired yes uh you're right uh jim harbaugh would be
- 9:29Speaker 1: number one for me i mean seriously Based on the
- 9:32Speaker 1: expectations and the results we're seeing, Jim Harbaugh should be
- 9:35Speaker 1: fired today.
