  God's word and today is a very cool day.

  Today is a day, that God really reveals himself.
• 0:37
  Now the whole of the biblical narrative is God's revelation of
• 0:41
  himself to humanity, but there are some chapters that punch, a
• 0:44
  little above their weight, in terms of revealing God.
• 0:47
  And this is one of those. This is where God reveals
• 0:49
  himself at Mount Sinai to Moses and we get to learn more about
• 0:55
  who God is and how God interacts with us.
• 0:59
  So sir, tell yourselves in grab that bucket of popcorn open up

  your heart and let us go on this journey together.

  Reading Exodus chapter 19, Exactly.

  Two months after the Israelites left, Egypt, they arrived in the
• 1:24
  wilderness of Sinai after breaking camp at rephidim, they
• 1:29
  came to the Wilderness of Sinai and set up camp there at the
• 1:33
  base of Mount Sinai. Then Moses climbed the mountain
• 1:37
  to appear before God the Lord called to him from the mountain
• 1:41
  and said, give these instructions to the family of
• 1:45
  Jacob announce it to the descendants of Israel.

  You Have seen what I did to the Egyptians you know how I carried
• 1:54

  Now if you will obey me and keep my Covenant, you will be my

  give to the people of Israel. So Moses returned from the

  mountain and called together, the Elders of the people and

  told them everything, the Lord had commanded him and all the
• 2:28
  people responded together, we will do everything, the Lord has
• 2:34
  commanded. So Moses brought the people's
• 2:37
  answer back to the Lord. And the Lord said to Moses, I
• 2:42
  will come to you in a thick Cloud, Moses.

  So the people themselves can hear me when I speak with you.

  Then they will always trust you. Moses told the lord of the
• 2:56
  people had said, then the Lord said to Moses go down and

  prepare the people for my arrival, consecrate them today
• 3:05
  and tomorrow and have them wash their clothing, be sure they are
• 3:09
  ready on the third day, for on that day, the Lord will come
• 3:14
  down on Mount Sinai as all the people watch, mark off a

  boundary all around the mountain warn the people be careful.

  Do not go up on the mountain or even touch its boundaries.

  Anyone who touches the mountain will certainly be put to death.

  in the sky, like smoke from a Brick Kiln and the whole

  Mountain shook violently As the blast of the Ram's Horn, grew
• 4:49
  louder, and louder. Moses spoke and God thundered
• 4:55
  his reply, the Lord came down on top of Mount Sinai and Called

  Moses to the top of the mountain.

  So Moses climbed the mountain. Then the Lord told Moses go back
• 5:09
  down and warn the people not to break through the boundaries to

  see the Lord or they will die. Even the priests are regularly

  come near to the Lord must purify themselves so that the

  Lord does not break out and Destroy them.

  But Lord, Moses protested, the people cannot come up to Mount

  Father as we hear the story and as you walk with us in our life,

  let us never confuse your intimacy for not being an
• 6:49
  enormous and Powerful God. Thank you that you come near to
• 6:54
  us and you communicate with us in a way that doesn't overwhelm
• 6:59
  us, even though you are a universe feeling creating and
• 7:03
  dominating God, we just worship you and we thank you for being
• 7:09
  Who You Are. That's in your name that we pray
