Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, February 14th.
• 0:12
Blessed without the burden. Have you ever chased something
• 0:15
you were sure would make you happy, only to realize it came
• 0:18
with stress, pressure, or regret you didn't expect?
• 0:22
Maybe it was a goal you reached that left you exhausted, or
• 0:26
approval you gained that made you anxious to keep it.
• 0:29
The world often promises blessing but quietly attaches a
• 0:32
  burden. God's Word offers something
• 0:35
radically different. Proverbs chapter 10, verse 22
• 0:38
tells us the blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no
• 0:42
sorrow with it. That's such a freeing truth.
• 0:46
God's blessings don't come with hidden strings.
• 0:48
They don't drain your soul or leave you feeling empty
• 0:51
afterward. When God blesses, He brings
• 0:54
fullness, peace, and joy that don't need to be defended or
• 0:57
maintained by striving. Psalm 19 shows us where that
• 1:01
kind of blessing is rooted. Psalm chapter 19 verse 7 says
• 1:06
the law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.
• 1:09
The testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple.
• 1:13
God knows how easily life wears us down.
• 1:16
He knows when we're tired, confused, or discouraged.
• 1:20
That's why His Word doesn't just inform us, it revives us.
• 1:24
It breathes life back into places that feel dry and
• 1:26
depleted. True blessing restores you from
• 1:30
the inside out. Then in Acts chapter 14, we see
• 1:33
this lived out in real time. Paul and Barnabas had preached
• 1:37
the gospel, faced opposition, and endured hardship.
• 1:41
Yet instead of walking away or giving up, they returned to the
• 1:44
believers, strengthening their souls and encouraging them to
• 1:47
continue in the faith. Acts chapter 14, verses 21 to 22
• 1:53
show us that blessing doesn't mean the absence of difficulty.
• 1:57
It means the presence of strength to keep going.
• 2:00
This is such an important reminder, especially when it
• 2:03
feels like everyone around you is chasing more.
• 2:06
More success, more recognition, more comfort.
• 2:10
God's blessing isn't about piling things onto your life,
• 2:13
it's about anchoring your life in Him.
• 2:16
It gives you wisdom when you feel unsure, strength when you
• 2:19
feel weak, and joy that isn't shaken by circumstances.
• 2:23
You don't have to carry the burden of keeping up or proving
• 2:26
yourself. God's blessing brings peace not
• 2:29
pressure, direction not confusion, endurance not
• 2:33
burnout. When you choose His way, you
• 2:35
discover that what He gives doesn't fade and doesn't weigh
• 2:38
  you down. It sustains you.
• 2:41
So today, let your heart rest, let God's Word revive you.
• 2:45
Let His blessing remind you that real richness isn't found in
• 2:48
what you collect, but in who you walk with.
• 2:51
His presence is the blessing that never brings sorrow.
• 2:54
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you that
• 2:57
Your blessings are pure and life giving.
• 3:00
Help me to stop chasing things that promise happiness but leave
• 3:03
me empty. Revive my soul through Your Word
• 3:06
and fill me with wisdom and strength from Your presence.
• 3:10
Encourage my heart to keep going when faith feels hard and remind
• 3:13
me that Your blessing brings joy without regret.
• 3:16
I choose to trust You and rest in what you provide in Jesus
• 3:20
name, Amen. What if the way you pray changed
• 3:24
because you truly knew who God is?

blessing brings wealth and he adds no trouble to it.
• 4:51
Psalm chapter 19 World English Bible for the chief musician.
• 4:56
A Psalm by David. The heavens declare the glory of
• 4:59
God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
• 5:02
Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night
• 5:05
they display knowledge. There is no speech nor language
• 5:08
where their voice is not heard. Their voice has gone out through
• 5:11
all the earth, their words to the end of the world.
• 5:14
In them he has set a tent for the sun, which is as a
• 5:17
bridegroom coming out of his room like a strongman rejoicing
• 5:21
to run his course. His going out is from the end of
• 5:23
the heavens, His circuit to its ends.
• 5:26
There is nothing hidden from its heat.

Yahweh's law is perfect, restoring the soul.

Yahweh's covenant is sure, making wise.
• 5:33
The simple Yahweh's precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.

• 5:43
Yahweh's ordinances are true and righteous altogether.
• 5:46
They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold.
• 5:50
Sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
• 5:54
Moreover, your servant is warned by them.
• 5:56
In keeping them there is great reward.
• 5:58
Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.
• 6:02
Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins.
• 6:05
Let them not have dominion over me.
• 6:07
Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent
• 6:10
of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and
• 6:13
the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight.
• 6:16
Yahweh, my rock and my Redeemer. Acts, chapter 14.
• 6:20
World English Bible in Iconium. They entered together into the
• 6:24
synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude,
• 6:28
both of Jews and of Greeks believed.
• 6:30
But the disbelieving Jews stirred up and embittered the
• 6:32
souls of the Gentiles against the brothers.
• 6:35
Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in
• 6:38
the Lord, who testified to the word of His grace, granting
• 6:42
signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
• 6:45
But the multitude of the city was divided, part sided with the
• 6:48
Jews and part with the apostles. When some of both the Gentiles
• 6:52
and the Jews with their rulers made a violent attempt to
• 6:55
mistreat and stone them, they became aware of it and fled to
• 6:58
the cities of Lychiania, Lystra, Derb, and the surrounding
• 7:02
region. There they preach the good news.
• 7:04
At Lystra a certain man sat impotent in his feet, a cripple
• 7:08
from his mother's womb, who never had walked.
• 7:10
He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on
• 7:13
him, and seeing that he had faith to be made whole, said
• 7:16
with a loud voice. Stand upright on your feet.
• 7:19
He leaped up and walked. When the multitude saw what Paul
• 7:22
had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the language of
• 7:25
lychiania, The gods have come down to us in the likeness of
• 7:28
men. They called Barnabas Jupiter and
• 7:32
Paul Mercury, because he was the chief speaker.
• 7:35
The priest of Jupiter, whose temple was in front of their
• 7:37
city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and would have made
• 7:41
a sacrifice along with the multitudes.
• 7:43
But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore
• 7:47
their clothes and sprang into the multitude, crying out, Men,
• 7:50
why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same
• 7:53
nature as you, and bring you good news that you should turn
• 7:56
from these vain things to the living God who made the sky, the
• 8:00
earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who in the generations
• 8:04
gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.
• 8:07
Yet he didn't leave himself without witness, in that He did
• 8:10
good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons,
• 8:13
filling our hearts with food and gladness.
• 8:16
Even saying these things, they hardly stopped the multitudes
• 8:19
from making a sacrifice to them. But some Jews from Antioch and
• 8:23
Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they
• 8:27
stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he
• 8:30
was dead. But as the disciples stood
• 8:32
around him, he rose up and entered into the city.
• 8:35
On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derb.
• 8:38
When they had preached the good news to that city and had made
• 8:41
many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
• 8:45
strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to
• 8:48
continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must
• 8:51
enter into God's Kingdom. When they had appointed elders
• 8:54
for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they
• 8:58
commended them to the Lord on whom they had believed.
• 9:01
They passed through Pasidia and came to Pamphylia.
• 9:04
When they had spoken the word in Purga, they went down to Italia.
• 9:08
From there they sailed to Antioch from where they had been
• 9:10
committed to the grace of God for the work which they had
• 9:13
fulfilled. When they had arrived and had
• 9:15
gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things
• 9:18
that God had done with them and that He had opened a door of
• 9:22
faith to the nations. They stayed there with the
• 9:24
disciples for a long time. Thanks for joining us on Bible
