DOJ Deputy Chief Joseph Schnitt And The Art Of The Epstein Coverup · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. So, here we are, ladies and gentlemen, the
• 0:07
Speaker 1: golden age of American justice, where the Department of Justice's
• 0:10
Speaker 1: finest minds are not found in the courtroom, not found
• 0:13
Speaker 1: in the war room, not even found in the archives
• 0:16
Speaker 1: of the Epstein documents. No, my friends, the brightest light
• 0:20
Speaker 1: of impartiality was found on a hinge date. Pouring out
• 0:24
Speaker 1: his heart to a stranger with a hidden camera, enter
• 0:28
Speaker 1: Joseph Schnitt. DOJ official, unwitting star of the James O'Keefe
• 0:32
Speaker 1: traveling circus. Nothing says career highlight quite like drunkenly outlining
• 0:37
Speaker 1: your department's alleged political redaction strategy over cocktails, does it?
• 0:42
Speaker 1: And Schnitt, bless him, didn't hold back. Oh no, he
• 0:45
Speaker 1: gave the whole playbook. Republican names? Redacted. Liberal names? Splashed
• 0:50
Speaker 1: across the headlines. Because that's how the blindfolded lady with
• 0:54
Speaker 1: the scales rolls these days. Peek under the blindfold, check
• 0:58
Speaker 1: the voter registration, then decide whether the gavel falls. Justice
• 1:02
Speaker 1: may be blind, but apparently Joseph Schnitt's tongue isn't. But wait,
• 1:06
Speaker 1: it gets better. In between sips of overpriced craft beer,
• 1:10
Speaker 1: Schnitt casually explains how Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted sex trafficker and
• 1:15
Speaker 1: Epstein's co-conspirator and bipedal serpent, was given a sweet downgrade
• 1:20
Speaker 1: to a cushy minimum security prison. Why? You know, just
• 1:23
Speaker 1: a little favor here, little quiet deal there. Keep her happy.
• 1:27
Speaker 1: Keep her quiet, he says. as if this is just
• 1:30
Speaker 1: regular office banter. You know, the kind of thing you
• 1:33
Speaker 1: toss out between discussing March Madness brackets and whose turn
• 1:37
Speaker 1: it is to buy the next round. And of course,
• 1:39
Speaker 1: the soap opera inside the DOJ is just as spicy.
• 1:43
Speaker 1: Schnitt paints the picture, Attorney General Pam Bondi playing the
• 1:46
Speaker 1: part of loyal Trump echo chamber, and Deputy FBI Director
• 1:50
Speaker 1: Dan Bongino, apparently cast as a lone truth-teller, wanting to
• 1:54
Speaker 1: release the files. The whole thing sounds less like the
• 1:58
Speaker 1: inner workings of the world's most powerful law enforcement agency
• 2:02
Speaker 1: and more like a failed pilot for the West Wing
• 2:05
Speaker 1: MAGA edition. Now, naturally, when the tape drops, the DOJ
• 2:09
Speaker 1: rushes out with its polished statement. His comments are his
• 2:13
Speaker 1: personal views based on media reports, they assure us. Translation,
• 2:17
Speaker 1: this guy got catfished, spilled gossip he shouldn't have, and
• 2:20
Speaker 1: now we're mopping it up with the PR equivalent of
• 2:23
Speaker 1: a ShamWow. Because nothing screams credibility like insisting your own
• 2:27
Speaker 1: official has absolutely zero bearing with reality. And Schnitt himself?
• 2:33
Speaker 1: He's the picture of innocence. He had no idea he
• 2:36
Speaker 1: was being recorded. Just a hard-working civil servant looking for
• 2:39
Speaker 1: love on a dating app. And instead, he stumbles face-first
• 2:44
Speaker 1: into an O'Keefe operation. Imagine swiping right thinking you're meeting
• 2:48
Speaker 1: your future spouse and ending up as Exhibit A in
• 2:51
Speaker 1: the nation's most embarrassing news cycle. But here's the kicker.
• 2:55
Speaker 1: While Schnitt's loose lips were giving away the store, the
• 2:58
Speaker 1: DOJ and Congress continued playing their little theater with the
• 3:01
Speaker 1: Epstein files. 33,000 documents dumped, with 97% already public. What
• 3:08
Speaker 1: we have here is the bureaucratic version of throwing a
• 3:12
Speaker 1: half-empty piñata at the public and saying, see, candy. So yes, bravo,
• 3:16
Speaker 1: Joe Schnitt. With one ill-fated date night, you managed to
• 3:20
Speaker 1: confirm every suspicion about bias, corruption, and incompetence all without
• 3:24
Speaker 1: even realizing you were auditioning for James O'Keefe highlight reel.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: We're not talking about just a honey trap here. We're
• 3:31
Speaker 1: talking about a honeypot of irony. The DOJ may survive this,
• 3:36
Speaker 1: but you, sir, will forever be remembered as the man
• 3:39
Speaker 1: who thought pillow talk was the best place for state secrets.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: And that, America, is what we call justice in 2025.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Served not in court, not in Congress, but in a
• 3:50
Speaker 1: dimly lit bar, whispered to a stranger with a hidden mic. Truly,
• 3:54
Speaker 1: the scales have never been so balanced. Today's article is
• 3:59
Speaker 1: from the Daily Beast and the headline, Top DOJ Officials
• 4:02
Speaker 1: Spills Epstein Cover-Up Plans to Honey Trap. This article was
• 4:07
Speaker 1: authored by Catherine Boris. A senior official in the Department
• 4:12
Speaker 1: of Justice was caught in a honey trap scheme, bragging
• 4:15
Speaker 1: about department plans to redact every Republican from Jeffrey Epstein's
• 4:19
Speaker 1: client list. Joseph Schnitt An acting deputy chief and attorney general,
• 4:23
Speaker 1: Pam Bondi's DOJ, was caught on camera divulging details of
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: a planned cover-up regarding the names of Epstein's high-profile clients.
• 4:32
Speaker 1: And of course, the DOJ, they say that this guy
• 4:34
Speaker 1: was just talking out of turn, right? Talking out of school.
• 4:37
Speaker 1: He had no idea what he was talking about. He
• 4:39
Speaker 1: wasn't privy to any of this information. And he was
• 4:42
Speaker 1: just trying to, you know, seal the deal and get
• 4:45
Speaker 1: him a little nookie. That's basically what they're telling us.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: But the whole thing is concerning, right? Why is a
• 4:51
Speaker 1: DOJ official running his yap to somebody he just met
• 4:55
Speaker 1: about anything that has to do with anything? Here's an idea,
• 4:59
Speaker 1: shut up. Talk about the news. Talk about TV, whatever
• 5:04
Speaker 1: it might be. Probably not a good idea to divulge
• 5:08
Speaker 1: state secrets, though. And furthermore, shouldn't this man lose his job?
• 5:13
Speaker 1: Schnitt was secretly filmed by a woman he met on Hinge,
• 5:16
Speaker 1: who works for the O'Keefe Media Group, a far-right media organization.
• 5:21
Speaker 1: Founded by Project Veritas, James O'Keefe. I mean, is it
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: really a far-right operation? I don't know if I'd classify
• 5:28
Speaker 1: it as that. A right-wing operation for sure, but far-right?
• 5:32
Speaker 1: So does everything you disagree with have to be far-right?
• 5:36
Speaker 1: This is part of the problem, folks. When you start
• 5:39
Speaker 1: doing the us-versus-them type shit, the people that we're trying
• 5:43
Speaker 1: to take down, they win. And that's why I've warned
• 5:45
Speaker 1: about politicizing this for all these years. Because when you
• 5:48
Speaker 1: politicize it, like we're at now, Where there is people
• 5:52
Speaker 1: who don't even believe that this is real anymore. All
• 5:54
Speaker 1: because of politics. And the truth is, those very same people,
• 5:59
Speaker 1: they were all in. They bought in 100% previously. But
• 6:02
Speaker 1: now that they think that this is one-way traffic just
• 6:05
Speaker 1: going after Trump, they're going to retreat back into the
• 6:08
Speaker 1: bunker and fall back into the comforts of tribalism. Nobody
• 6:11
Speaker 1: wants to have their worldview shaken, right? Nobody wants to
• 6:14
Speaker 1: think that the guy that they put on a pedestal
• 6:17
Speaker 1: is not really the man that they thought he was.
• 6:20
Speaker 1: And I think that realization is dawning on a lot
• 6:22
Speaker 1: of people when it comes to Donald Trump. And what's
• 6:24
Speaker 1: wild is you have all these people out here that
• 6:26
Speaker 1: have been screaming about Bill Gates for how long? Bill
• 6:29
Speaker 1: Gates is a mass murderer. Bill Gates is in charge
• 6:31
Speaker 1: of this, in charge of that. Now all of a
• 6:34
Speaker 1: sudden he's breaking bread with Donald Trump and it's all good, right?
• 6:37
Speaker 1: No big deal. I'm sure it won't be long before
• 6:39
Speaker 1: all those influencers who are telling you that Bill Gates
• 6:41
Speaker 1: is a horrible man who's going to be locked up
• 6:43
Speaker 1: at Gitmo, who was drinking adrenochrome is now some sort
• 6:48
Speaker 1: of hero and some sort of patriot, because, you know,
• 6:50
Speaker 1: he was at the White House with Trump. In the
• 6:53
Speaker 1: video published on Thursday, Schnitt can be seen telling his
• 6:56
Speaker 1: date that the department will redact every Republican or conservative
• 7:00
Speaker 1: person in those files, leave all the liberal, Democratic people
• 7:04
Speaker 1: in those files, and have a very slanted version of
• 7:07
Speaker 1: it come out. And isn't this what the other side,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: meaning the MAGA team, was saying was happening now? You
• 7:14
Speaker 1: see what's going on here, right? They thrive on misdirection.
• 7:19
Speaker 1: They thrive on confusion. And most importantly, they thrive on division.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: And once again, they've been very successful in causing those rifts.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Schnitt seemingly, an open book, also told his date that
• 7:32
Speaker 1: the decision to move Epstein's accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, to a
• 7:35
Speaker 1: minimum security prison went against border prison's policy due to
• 7:39
Speaker 1: her status as a convicted sex offender, claiming that meant
• 7:43
Speaker 1: the DOJ was offering her something to keep her mouth shut. Well,
• 7:47
Speaker 1: there's no doubt in my mind. And I think that
• 7:49
Speaker 1: when all is said and done, when Donald Trump is
• 7:51
Speaker 1: done with his term, Glenn Maxwell is going to get
• 7:54
Speaker 1: that pardon. Remember, Donald Trump is a lame duck here.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: So it's not going to affect him one way or
• 7:59
Speaker 1: the other to give Glenn Maxwell a pardon when he's,
• 8:02
Speaker 1: you know, leaving office. And at this point, I can
• 8:04
Speaker 1: almost guarantee that Glenn Maxwell is going to get a
• 8:07
Speaker 1: pardon when all is said and done. There's not going
• 8:10
Speaker 1: to be anything anyone can do about it. And like usual,
• 8:13
Speaker 1: the joke will be on us. Schnitt went on to
• 8:15
Speaker 1: describe the internal conflict between Bondi and FBI Deputy Director
• 8:19
Speaker 1: Dan Bongino. Bongino's insistence that the Epstein files be released
• 8:24
Speaker 1: sparked a civil war within MAGA earlier this year. Second-in-command
• 8:28
Speaker 1: Bongino at the FBI been causing problems because he's like, no,
• 8:33
Speaker 1: these Epstein files should have been released. Internally, there's a
• 8:37
Speaker 1: lot of conflict, Schnitt told his date. Oh, there's no doubt.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: There is no doubt that people are fighting back against this.
• 8:44
Speaker 1: But look, we all know the type of forces they're
• 8:48
Speaker 1: up against. And if there is somebody in the DOJ
• 8:51
Speaker 1: that wants to, you know, release all of this stuff,
• 8:54
Speaker 1: they're not going to be able to do that unless
• 8:56
Speaker 1: Pam Bondi signs off. And we all know that Pam
• 8:59
Speaker 1: Bondi is not going to sign off because Trump thinks
• 9:01
Speaker 1: it's a hoax. So what are we even doing right now?
• 9:05
Speaker 1: Why are we having any kind of congressional hearings? Why
• 9:08
Speaker 1: is any of this happening if it's a hoax? Well,
• 9:10
Speaker 1: I'll tell you why. It's not a hoax. And the
• 9:13
Speaker 1: more Donald Trump says that, the deeper the hold gets
• 9:16
Speaker 1: for him. And at this point, considering all the chaos,
• 9:20
Speaker 1: considering all the back and forth, considering all the division,
• 9:24
Speaker 1: it's now time that I'm calling for a special counsel.
• 9:27
Speaker 1: That's right. It's time for a special counsel. We need
• 9:30
Speaker 1: to have an independent voice, an independent arbiter, take a
• 9:34
Speaker 1: look at what's going on here and figure out what's what.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: We need a robust investigation into the investigators. He also
• 9:42
Speaker 1: described his boss, Pam Bondi, as a yes person who
• 9:45
Speaker 1: wants whatever Trump wants. Well, that's most AGs, let's be real.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: When you get an AG that gets put into the office,
• 9:52
Speaker 1: more times than not, they're going to align with the
• 9:54
Speaker 1: president's view, right? And Pam Bondi is no different, but
• 9:58
Speaker 1: she takes that bootlicking to advantage. The DOJ said on
• 9:50
Speaker 1: X that the comments in this video have absolutely zero
• 9:52
Speaker 1: bearing with reality and reflect a total lack of knowledge
• 9:54
Speaker 1: of the DOJ's review process. Adding that the DOJ is
• 9:56
Speaker 1: committed to transparency, and is in compliance with the House
• 10:17
Speaker 1: Oversight Committee's request for documents. Cool. Why did you move
• 10:21
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell? Don't tell us there were security issues. We
• 10:25
Speaker 1: all know that's not true. Tell us the truth. And look,
• 10:28
Speaker 1: if they can't even be straight up about why Glenn
• 10:30
Speaker 1: Maxwell got moved, do you really think they're going to
• 10:32
Speaker 1: be straight up about anything? The Trump administration's failure to
• 10:37
Speaker 1: release the Epstein files has caused chaos within the Republican
• 10:40
Speaker 1: Party in recent weeks, with formerly diehard Trump loyal Republicans
• 10:44
Speaker 1: Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, joining fellow Republican Representative Thomas Massey,
• 10:50
Speaker 1: and Democrats like Ro Khanna, ain't calling for the files
• 10:53
Speaker 1: to be released. Look, everybody should be calling for them
• 10:57
Speaker 1: to be released. And frankly, if Donald Trump didn't do
• 11:01
Speaker 1: anything wrong, he should want them released, right? I know
• 11:04
Speaker 1: that if people were saying that I was caught up
• 11:06
Speaker 1: in something like this, I'd want every last document released.
• 11:11
Speaker 1: And if I was just friendly with the dude previously, sure,
• 11:13
Speaker 1: I'd be embarrassed about it. But I'd face it head on. Look,
• 11:18
Speaker 1: I was friends with him. I had no idea what
• 11:20
Speaker 1: he was up to. He wasn't under investigation at that point.
• 11:24
Speaker 1: You know, the whole thing. This could have been a
• 11:26
Speaker 1: two-week story for Donald Trump. Now, well, we all know
• 11:30
Speaker 1: what it is now. In response to the bipartisan resolution
• 11:34
Speaker 1: from Massey and Khanna, the DOJ published more than 33,000
• 11:38
Speaker 1: documents relating to the Epstein case. but 97% of which
• 11:42
Speaker 1: were already publicly available. Just like we knew. It's going
• 11:47
Speaker 1: to be recycled nonsense over and over and over again.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: If they had any desire to release the actual documents
• 11:53
Speaker 1: breaking fucking news, they would have released them. In addition,
• 11:57
Speaker 1: Greene and Massey have both offered to read out the
• 12:00
Speaker 1: names of Epstein's powerful clients in Congress, making use of
• 12:03
Speaker 1: the speech or debate clause that gives representatives immunity, and
• 12:07
Speaker 1: Greene has been petitioning the president to agree... to meet
• 12:10
Speaker 1: with Epstein's victims. For his part, Trump has dismissed the
• 12:14
Speaker 1: campaign to release the Epstein files as being part of
• 12:17
Speaker 1: a Democrat-led hoax designed to distract from what he argues
• 12:21
Speaker 1: are the most successful eight months of any president ever.
• 12:25
Speaker 1: Now look, I'm not going to sit here and tell
• 12:26
Speaker 1: you that I hate everything that's going on in the
• 12:29
Speaker 1: country as far as what Trump's doing. I'm not somebody
• 12:32
Speaker 1: that sits here and takes great joy in talking about
• 12:35
Speaker 1: Donald Trump. And frankly, during his last term, I didn't
• 12:40
Speaker 1: really talk about him much at all because he didn't
• 12:42
Speaker 1: interject himself in my lane. And for those of you
• 12:45
Speaker 1: who have been here for the past six, seven years,
• 12:48
  Speaker 1: you already know. I don't care who's in power. I
• 12:51
Speaker 1: rage against the machine. The flags of discontent are always
• 12:55
Speaker 1: flying because it's always meet the new boss, same as
• 12:58
Speaker 1: the old boss. My life doesn't get any better no
• 13:02
Speaker 1: matter what rich person gets installed in DC. In fact,
• 13:06
Speaker 1: more times than not, My life gets worse, and that's
• 13:09
Speaker 1: why I've warned you folks for a very long time
• 13:11
Speaker 1: that Donald Trump is a symptom of the problem. So,
• 13:15
Speaker 1: here we stand, staring at the wreckage of what Joseph
• 13:17
Speaker 1: Schnitt just handed the world on a silver platter. The
• 13:21
Speaker 1: DOJ reduced to gossip over drinks, corruption dressed up as policy,
• 13:25
Speaker 1: and the illusion of justice shattered by the sound of
• 13:28
Speaker 1: one man's loose lips on a first date. We're not
• 13:31
Speaker 1: just talking about Schnitt getting played, it's about all of
• 13:34
Speaker 1: us getting played. because while he babbled about redactions and favors,
• 13:38
Speaker 1: what we really saw was a mass slip-off, an institution
• 13:42
Speaker 1: that pretends to serve blind justice while winking at the powerful. Yo,
• 13:47
Speaker 1: think about it. If the people entrusted to guard the
• 13:49
Speaker 1: truth are this sloppy, this compromised, this laughably easy to bait,
• 13:54
Speaker 1: then how deep does this rock go? Schnitt didn't just
• 13:57
Speaker 1: embarrass himself. He exposed the DOJ as a house of
• 14:01
Speaker 1: cards where deals are whispered Files are hidden, and justice
• 14:05
Speaker 1: is doled out not in fairness, but in favors. And
• 14:09
Speaker 1: the tragedy is, this isn't even shocking anymore. We've been
• 14:13
Speaker 1: numb to expect the cover-up, to anticipate the double standard,
• 14:16
Speaker 1: to assume that when the truth finally comes out, it'll
• 14:19
Speaker 1: be carefully edited and serve lukewarm, while the real story
• 14:23
Speaker 1: rots in some locked drawer. Schnitt just said it out loud,
• 14:27
Speaker 1: with a drink in his hand, and now the whole
• 14:29
Speaker 1: country has to choke on the bitter taste of it.
• 14:31
Speaker 1: So go ahead, DOJ, tell us. It was taken out
• 14:34
Speaker 1: of context. Tell us his words have no bearing on reality.
• 14:38
Speaker 1: But the damage is done. The credibility is gone. And
• 14:41
Speaker 1: Joseph Schnitt, your legacy is sealed. Not as the steward
• 14:44
Speaker 1: of justice, but as the man who let America glimpse
• 14:47
Speaker 1: the farce behind the curtain. You wanted a date, Joe. Instead,
• 14:51
Speaker 1: you gave the nation a confession. All of the information
• 14:55
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: description box.
