- 1:48Yeah, m hm, you want to say hello, Ernie an asked
- 2:07this. It couldn't be any more fortune. Everything is good, Join ourselves
- 2:10and you know what about NIXT World I've got the New York City Commissioner of
- 2:15International Affairs. I know that that's we're all excited to be celebrating sext year
- 2:23two thous four with me. All right, sounds good? All right,
- 2:30hid Reverend Boslactics, I work a lot with Pastor Monros very nice. How
- 2:36are you today? Tell us about where are we now? H We're in
- 2:40the center of the universe. This is uh, the most impressive place in
- 2:47the best city in the picture, the best country in the world. We
- 2:52are very lucky to be here, very lucky because the rest of the world,
- 2:55as we all know, it's not doing as well as we are.
- 2:58So let's pray for peace. New York is such a welcoming city. We've
- 3:05dealt with and dealing with and doing our best with the migrant situation. Enough
- 3:08is enough, though, as the mayor would say, what you're feeling?
- 3:14I mean you're involved within the international I've reached out to you because we do
- 3:16the International Day of Peace concerts right here in Times Square. What do you
- 3:22feel about how we're doing now? In the future? New York is a
- 3:28very special place. I'm a refugee from Ukraine. Wow, So there's lots
- 3:35of history in this conversation. So for me this is all very personal what's
- 3:39happening with migrants also, having just come with the mayor from South America and
- 3:45the witness the learning that they're taking from thousands of miles away. It's just
- 3:53it's quite horrific and I hate to say it, but we're not doing Let's
- 3:59go to my job as we should be helping them where they are, rather
- 4:02than helping them where they're coming to. Lots of lots of things that we
- 4:09need to fix around the world, and no better place to do it,
- 4:13or at least start from the New York City. I agree with you.
- 4:16I guess my families or refugees are from Hungary and Poland right by the border
- 4:21of the ukrad Well, congratulations. I happen to know you're doing a great
- 4:29job at what you're doing and and keep it up because we are a fortunate
- 4:33place to live in. We are in a peaceful place and a freedom location.
- 4:39We are very lucky. We are very lucky to be here. Dear,
- 4:43Thank you so much. Okay, all right, good news. We
- 4:47got some internet connection here and the show is going to start quite soon.
- 4:51First, let me turn around, I hope that's not a mistake because of
- 4:55the Internet connection. Because every so we see one Dirama on the One Time
- 5:01Square building. That's where the ball drops in the evening. And the reason
- 5:05is is because the One Time Square people are connected to this event and they're
- 5:14on the stage now, Sherry and the Commissioner of International Affairs, and Ernie
- 5:20Anastis and another representative from the One Time Square building. This is a Reverend
- 5:27Paul Slakis and one of my favorite places in the world. We call it
- 5:31Times Square, the Crossroads of the World. And why is this so important
- 5:36to us is that we did Woodstock here back in nineteen eighty nine and hopefully
- 5:41we're coming out with that movie. We we we also okay, now you
- 5:50see one Dama, I know all that's a pretty wonderful And Chuck Armstrong,
- 6:01that's the producer right there, has been putting this on Beautiful Noise. We
- 6:06almost got that to be part of our show, but they had too many
- 6:10people out with COVID. Gentleman here is Damian Santucci, a representative of the
- 6:15Times Square Alliance. One of the nicest guys in town. We love him,
- 6:20and so this is a great event. Hey, everybody, are you
- 7:00ready. We're so excited to be here today. This is a very exciting
- 7:04day. I'm earning an ASTs by the way from New York Television and positively
- 7:10America and positively Earnie, and it's so good to be here. Are you
- 7:13happy to be here? I want to know. I want to see a
- 7:15little spirit. Yeah, Thank goodness, it isn't raining, right, Happy
- 7:20Halloween to everybody. We're so excited to be on board because we're celebrating something
- 7:26really special today and I've got a great cast of characters that you're going to
- 7:29meet. But we're talking about Won Durama's great event coming up next year in
- 7:33twenty twenty four, and it's going to be a special parade to unite all
- 7:38of us from Columbus Circle all the way down here to Times Square, the
- 7:41crossroads of America, and we're going to have a family style parade. Are
- 7:45you excited about that? Yeah? Will you bet here? Next year's a
- 7:48week in March together. Yeah. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it because
- 7:51it's going to be a wonderful event. Wonderama, by the way, is
- 7:55a terrific television show started back in the sixties right here in New York,
- 8:00and it's all across America and also here in New York on WWOR Channel nine
- 8:05on Sundays at three pm. I hope you will be watching. But today
- 8:09we're really celebrating something unusual and something special because we have so much negative news
- 8:16and you know that. But today we have a positive story and we're celebrating
- 8:20twenty twenty four coming up next year, and we want you to be part
- 8:24of this event. This is a special program developed by our good friend Chuck
- 8:28Armstrong, who's the founder and creator of wonder Rama here at New York.
- 8:31Let's hear it for Chuck's boy, Chuck. We have a partnership with the
- 8:37Times Square Alliance and One Time Square. We're going to be hearing from them
- 8:41in just a moment. But I'm delighted to have with us a very special
- 8:45individual from New York and he is the Commissioner of International Affairs. Ed Merlinstein
- 8:50is with us. Let's hear a grand come off here ahead, grab your
- 8:54microphone and get rid. This is an exciting day and tell us why it's
- 8:56so important for New York to be celebrating or any First of all, thank
- 9:01you for allowing me up on the stage. I'm a huge fan and very
- 9:05hon you. New York City and this spot especially is the center of the
- 9:11universe. We are in the best city in the world, in the best
- 9:15country in the world, and celebrating an event that is going to just take
- 9:20over this entire area for next year is so exciting. But we we are
- 9:26a city that has the largest and most diverse diplomatic community in the world,
- 9:31the most diverse city in the world. We are number one and practically everything.
- 9:37So I'm a little biased, as I should because we all love New
- 9:41York. You know, about about a million people pass through Times Square every
- 9:45day. Is that incredible. It's the crossroads crossroads of the world. And
- 9:50you know, we also have some interesting art that people should look at and
- 9:54tell us a little bit about what's out here on display. So the katrinas
- 9:58that were donated to us by Mexico, some of them are from Mexico City,
- 10:03some of them are Quebla and uh as. Many people in New York
- 10:07know that New York City is known as Quebla and New York. Yes,
- 10:13So therefore we have you know Selby to celebrate here as well. You know
- 10:16what, I want you to stay with me, ed because I want to
- 10:18introduce a couple of other great people. Uh. Regina Pojas is where this
- 10:22She's with the Times Square Alliance and also joining us as sharing White One Times
- 10:26Square. Welcome to both of you, Regina. Let's start with you.
- 10:31Tell us about the exciting program that we're announcing today. Sure, Hi,
- 10:35good morning. I'm really excited to talk about how the twenty twenty four went
- 10:39around. The Halloween Parade is going to be a representation of the variety of
- 10:43cultures and unity and just an overall celebration in Times Square. Isn't it nice
- 10:50that we have to celebrate this, Regina, especially the time when you know
- 10:52we're facing so much negative news in the world. Absolutely, totally, Yeah,
- 10:56it's a good thing. Sherry, Come join us right now because you're
- 10:58also part of this with one Time Square. Your take on what we're doing
- 11:03here today and what we can expect twenty twenty four. Oh, I love
- 11:07Times Square. I wish we could get open in twenty four, but the
- 11:09building is under construction, so we're trying to bring some change to Times Square
- 11:16in the future. So we'll open in late twenty twenty five, and we
- 11:20hope we bring a lot to twenty five and to twenty four we'll bring to
- 11:22yours eave well, thank you so much for being here. We're really happy
- 11:26about what we have on board One Durama. Wonderbul take a look. Turn
- 11:31around, guys, look at that that's ten stories high? Is that a
- 11:33beautiful sign? I love it. Oh. This is so great because we're
- 11:39here to talk about you know, one Durama, the television show, but
- 11:41also the parade that will be bringing you. We have a lot of entertainment
- 11:45from around the world here, and we've got a great disc jockey. His
- 11:48name is ty Hollywood. Tye. You back there, hey, buddy,
- 11:52all right, let's get you started, okay, because we want to entertain
- 11:56and have people enjoy themselves right now. Okay, so here you go,
- 11:58take it away time alleyway, I'm not head of the dark. You've never
- 12:03seen it look so all right? Come on you guys just walking by,
