- 0:00Speaker 1: Did it?
- 0:00Speaker 2: Do it? Dude? Do for all you mad bastards loving
- 0:07Speaker 2: the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram,
- 0:12Speaker 2: YouTube and ticks off for for tuggets.
- 0:15Speaker 1: For to siln every weekday on radio here what a
- 0:20Speaker 1: day A fellas really good, Surrey.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I couldn't join you for golf today, keasy I was
- 0:27Speaker 3: keen airs.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all good, na.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I just had a trade.
- 0:30Speaker 3: You know how trades are very loose with the time scenarios.
- 0:35Speaker 3: You know that's are probably around about such and such
- 0:39Speaker 3: and then it ends up being something else altogether.
- 0:42Speaker 5: So do you not contemplate just leaving a key and
- 0:45Speaker 5: just leaving them.
- 0:46Speaker 3: To no because my daughter's there and then staff. I
- 0:50Speaker 3: don't feel comfortable doing that.
- 0:51Speaker 5: Fear enough, mate, you would have hated it.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Why is that?
- 0:55Speaker 5: So?
- 0:55Speaker 6: We went to Takapuna, which is public course, and you
- 0:58Speaker 6: book time slots. However, they've show nine of the holes
- 1:01Speaker 6: and there's slots between people teeing off for usually ten minutes.
- 1:05Speaker 6: Shut nine of the holes and now there's five minute
- 1:07Speaker 6: gaps between people, which isn't long enough for people to
- 1:09Speaker 6: play through a hole. It took me three hours and
- 1:12Speaker 6: I only played eight holes and couldn't even finish it
- 1:14Speaker 6: and then drove. There's a lot of effingogy effing going
- 1:18Speaker 6: on from me from old keesy, which is weird because
- 1:21Speaker 6: I don't usually if and do that.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Yeah, good weekend, though, fellows, mate, beautiful weekend.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Would you do?
- 1:28Speaker 5: Jos, how did I do?
- 1:31Speaker 4: Mike doesn't even care, Jason, No I do.
- 1:33Speaker 5: I find I find oftentimes talking about your weekend actually
- 1:38Speaker 5: ruins it. So if you go in like five people
- 1:41Speaker 5: ask you what you got up to on your weekend,
- 1:42Speaker 5: and it's actually having to drag over the coals about it.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I always I always changed the subject very quickly. Pugs
- 1:50Speaker 5: just gestured that he asked how your weekend was? He
- 1:52Speaker 5: did he said, how is your weekend? I see great, Pugs?
- 1:54Speaker 5: How is yours? I'm straight on to how right? You
- 1:57Speaker 5: asked me? One second after he asked me, Bang? You
- 2:01Speaker 5: heard what I said to him? You asked me anyway?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Bang it was good, Keezy? How was yours? Yeah?
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I don't know what it is.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I well, it's only small talkers, and it doesn't matter.
- 2:13Speaker 5: What if I just said here he is here, he is,
- 2:15Speaker 5: thank you.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Pudds asked me how my weekend was, and I told
- 2:20Speaker 3: him in great detail, well, not great, and then I
- 2:23Speaker 3: then eventually I asked him about his right but I
- 2:26Speaker 3: didn't ask.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You about yours or chezy No, but mine was very nice. Thanks.
- 2:31Speaker 5: I had a nice day yesterday, jas thanks for asking mate.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good.
- 2:35Speaker 5: I actually got asked to go out for drinks, sure,
- 2:39Speaker 5: dinner or something like that, or late lunch something like
- 2:41Speaker 5: that on Sunday there, and I said, oh, yeah, it
- 2:45Speaker 5: was with Tom wife. Yes, I haven't seen him for agents. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 5: that'll be great, blah blah blah. And then we were
- 2:52Speaker 5: working yesterday and then I got about an hour or
- 2:54Speaker 5: so into an hour or so out from it, and
- 2:57Speaker 5: I was like, I can't. I've got too much to do.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I was like, I can come and get pissed, or
- 3:02Speaker 5: I can work till midnight. And I think I've got
- 3:04Speaker 5: to work till midnight. That's quite a good thing. I'm
- 3:06Speaker 5: really met heaths Bock, which is a lot of a
- 3:10Speaker 5: lot of information in there. It's not as quick a
- 3:13Speaker 5: read as you think, no, because you think it'll be
- 3:17Speaker 5: real dumb because Mets in it, But.
- 3:18Speaker 4: It's actually because he's dumb.
- 3:21Speaker 5: It's actually but there's a lot of info it's good
- 3:24Speaker 5: because he's sort of collated a lot of other people's
- 3:27Speaker 5: research to one.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Book, Estolic Philosophy. There's not that yet, Thank god.
- 3:33Speaker 5: I've heard enough about Marcus Ralia from listening to his
- 3:37Speaker 5: podcast and radio show. But one good thing that came
- 3:41Speaker 5: out of it was the choice that you have between
- 3:45Speaker 5: the easy thing and the hard thing every day. Like,
- 3:47Speaker 5: there's lots of different choices that you have. I can't
- 3:50Speaker 5: be fucked. I'm not going to do that. I'm going
- 3:51Speaker 5: to do the easy thing, whatever that is. Sure, So
- 3:54Speaker 5: rather than so now I'm applying that. So I'm re
- 3:57Speaker 5: reapplying myself Jase cigarettes and a package. I'm trying to
- 4:05Speaker 5: give it a myth and just recognizing whenever you have
- 4:08Speaker 5: the cravings and I just give it immediately, sure, and
- 4:12Speaker 5: just trying to knuckle down with it and with work
- 4:14Speaker 5: and went to the gym at five o'clock this morning,
- 4:16Speaker 5: all that sort of stuff. The easy thing is to
- 4:19Speaker 5: not do it. Yeah, she'll just choose the hard thing.
- 4:21Speaker 5: It's better for you.
- 4:22Speaker 4: So is the idea that you always choose the hard thing.
- 4:26Speaker 5: No, the idea is that you've always got choices between
- 4:29Speaker 5: hard and easy, and easy will always be the worst
- 4:31Speaker 5: possible thing for you, and the hard thing is always
- 4:33Speaker 5: going to be better for you in the long run.
- 4:34Speaker 5: So the more times you can make the hard choice,
- 4:36Speaker 5: the video life will be.
- 4:37Speaker 3: There's that philosophy to which is swallow the frog, which
- 4:43Speaker 3: is basically something that you're not looking forward to doing.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Swallow it, make it hard, make it the first thing
- 4:52Speaker 3: you do in your day.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Swallow the frog straight away, Just go.
- 4:54Speaker 3: And get it done, and then you don't have to worry,
- 4:57Speaker 3: and then it doesn't effect and permeate the rest of
- 4:59Speaker 3: your I do.
- 5:01Speaker 6: I do like a self reward system, sure, which sounds
- 5:05Speaker 6: like I beat off after doing something tough, but that's
- 5:07Speaker 6: not how it works.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Basically, it's like, well.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You do it, you do that as well.
- 5:10Speaker 3: But I mean that's okay, keys, if you want to
- 5:12Speaker 3: it's a young man, Yeah, go for it.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I want to go and strangle the frog or whatever
- 5:16Speaker 4: it is.
- 5:16Speaker 1: That's fine that thing.
- 5:18Speaker 6: So what happens is I'll wake up and go, oh
- 5:20Speaker 6: my god, I've got this, this, this to do. But
- 5:22Speaker 6: if I get all of that and it works with
- 5:23Speaker 6: my studies too, I'll be like I study now until
- 5:26Speaker 6: ten am and then I get to play silly buggers
- 5:30Speaker 6: and go and play golf or whatever it might be.
- 5:32Speaker 4: But I have to get that done first and then
- 5:33Speaker 4: you get the reward.
- 5:35Speaker 5: So if you're doing hour's work, you wake up at nine,
- 5:37Speaker 5: you do your study, wake up at nine.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Well, I'm gonna have a coffee first and wake up
- 5:40Speaker 6: while watching YouTube. So I do about twenty minute study. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 6: well you're a bone keys, which is mostly.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Mostly just flipping through flash cards.
- 5:47Speaker 1: The thing is for me.
- 5:48Speaker 4: The cards good, really good, and my wife won't use them.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Mommy though, what I was like, can you can you know?
- 5:57Speaker 6: I don't want you to read to your MUORTI flash
- 5:59Speaker 6: cards to me when I'm having to go at myself.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Jason, why you should try changing up a bit?
- 6:05Speaker 1: You remember you stay in there.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Call Chris the Whole Wracky Big Show week days from
- 6:12Speaker 5: four on Radio Hurarchy.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Remember the Whole Wracky Big Show podcast. But now she
- 6:18Speaker 4: won't quiz me like, oh what is mum and Maldy?
- 6:21Speaker 4: She won't do.
- 6:21Speaker 5: It's racist, yeah, racist, yeah, yeah yeah true. They can't
- 6:27Speaker 5: help it.
- 6:27Speaker 6: She's like, I hate it, like you're the one hoarning,
- 6:29Speaker 6: not me, because she's got home from an actual job
- 6:32Speaker 6: with actual work.
- 6:33Speaker 5: She won't help you and how many times as she said, no,
- 6:35Speaker 5: this is once once? Yeah, thank you.
- 6:37Speaker 6: Yeah, and she's like, the reason I taught you how
- 6:39Speaker 6: to make flash cards because I never heard of them,
- 6:41Speaker 6: so that you could do it yourself, the flesh cards.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Yeah, and now she's.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Like, don't bet what you're doing them. That's probably the
- 6:49Speaker 1: thing probably grosses her out of it.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Some people she's into it, yea, if anybody is.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, what else?
- 6:59Speaker 4: I was going to say something.
- 7:00Speaker 5: About man I had an introessing day to day.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Oh how was he?
- 7:08Speaker 5: He's great?
- 7:09Speaker 4: I love him. After watching him, I was.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Talking him about Slibberty Treasure. I did enjoy it. He
- 7:13Speaker 5: loved it. Yeah, he loved it, and he said, yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 5: sort of changed a lot of the conversations that he
- 7:17Speaker 5: has with people. He gets heaps of people coming up
- 7:19Speaker 5: to him now and yeah he always did, he said,
- 7:21Speaker 5: but now even more people.
- 7:23Speaker 4: But to be fair, ladies and young people.
- 7:25Speaker 6: And he was intimidating, like when you see and read
- 7:27Speaker 6: about him and stuff, it's intimidating. And then after seeing
- 7:31Speaker 6: him on TV and James Muster effects chating to him
- 7:33Speaker 6: became bitter.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I'm like, he's just like my granddad.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that was pretty cool, pretty cute, pretty cool? And
- 7:41Speaker 5: then what else happened today? Fellas?
- 7:45Speaker 4: Oh I did gardening, I finished my edging. Shit, it
- 7:48Speaker 4: looks good.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You're really sexual today, iging and beating yourself off.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, Actually, Jay said, a busy weekend because you
- 7:59Speaker 6: a birthday, Jason.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It was my birthday?
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, forty three now, yeah, man?
- 8:05Speaker 5: Or is it fifty four? I can't remember.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Forty three, I think, But you know, you reach a
- 8:10Speaker 3: point where it doesn't matter anymore. Really, it's just another
- 8:12Speaker 3: year closer.
- 8:13Speaker 5: To death, that's true, and you're very close.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Yeah, so you must be freaking out.
- 8:18Speaker 3: I'm finding as I get older that actually I'm becoming
- 8:21Speaker 3: more and more chill about shit and just going, you.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Know what, don't worry about it. Yeah, sure, just don't.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Don't fuck it.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Making you every year and you have a birthday. Take
- 8:29Speaker 5: ever you think. Fuck, I'll be to give up these
- 8:31Speaker 5: darts because I am taking the person now.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, sometimes it does. I don't I'm not a big
- 8:40Speaker 3: fan of the smoking, but I love it, you know.
- 8:42Speaker 3: And there's so many things I don't do now that
- 8:45Speaker 3: I used to do all the time, and just anything
- 8:48Speaker 3: well you can, but I mean.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Two choices every day, two choices.
- 8:52Speaker 3: You know, if I was hard or easy, if I
- 8:54Speaker 3: was getting on the pad or all the time and
- 8:57Speaker 3: and all that sort of stuff, I probably go, Okay,
- 8:59Speaker 3: well I'll give something else up. But you know, it's like,
- 9:03Speaker 3: but it's not something that I want to keep doing.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Yeah, between being a smoker and a non smoker, what
- 9:11Speaker 5: would you do, smoker?
- 9:15Speaker 6: Why don't you swap it out with something else, like
- 9:17Speaker 6: be a heroin guy or something.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean I could do that.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Heroine would be your your thing.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Maybe pharmaceuticals not on.
- 9:24Speaker 4: You know, maybe get on their nangs. Become a nang guy.
- 9:29Speaker 1: What are the nags?
- 9:30Speaker 4: A little.
- 9:33Speaker 1: And you suck them all. I've done those couple of times.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Yeah, they're pretty good.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah. One thing that cheap, cheap, very cheap thrill.
- 9:43Speaker 5: The great thing about the nang there is.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I hear is that if you're on acid, you know
- 9:55Speaker 2: how it makes you feel loud of it for like
- 9:56Speaker 2: a minute or whatever. Yes, if you if you're on
- 9:59Speaker 2: as or mushrooms and you have them, you fully hallucinate
- 10:03Speaker 2: for that period of time. Instead of having that feel good,
- 10:06Speaker 2: euphoric feeling, the whole world, it's just a full hallucination, right,
- 10:11Speaker 2: completely insane. Wow, but just for a man, amazing, but
- 10:14Speaker 2: only last for a minute, which is the best because
- 10:17Speaker 2: you don't want it last. You don't want hallucinations. Oh no,
- 10:21Speaker 2: it's fucking great, but we don't recommend hear.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I've heard.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Once this friend of mine discovered that he went straight
- 10:31Speaker 5: down to the shop and bought some more. Well then, similarly,
- 10:35Speaker 5: my mate was telling me that if you're on MDMA
- 10:38Speaker 5: or ecstasy as it was known back when the day
- 10:40Speaker 5: when my friend was taking that sort of thing twenty
- 10:43Speaker 5: plus years ago, that intensifies that rush as well, about
- 10:48Speaker 5: a thousandfold. Yes, where I used to get them from here.
- 10:51Speaker 5: But now what was interesting about this whole thing is
- 10:53Speaker 5: that they're like, oh, they're banning it. You can't use
- 10:54Speaker 5: it recreationally. You couldn't fucking you couldn't find them when
- 10:58Speaker 5: my mate was doing it many years ago. You couldn't
- 11:02Speaker 5: use it recreationally then it was illegal. You could only
- 11:05Speaker 5: get them from more Wilson and they were generally used
- 11:08Speaker 5: for used cream for cream. So you have them in
- 11:14Speaker 5: and you know those slow bottles and all that sort
- 11:18Speaker 5: of ship. Yeah, but there you go, so you can
- 11:22Speaker 5: investigate that at your own risk.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Jase, Nah, Look, I'm what I am enjoying is that,
- 11:29Speaker 3: you know, I'm getting out and about quite a bit
- 11:31Speaker 3: these days, and it's very good.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Are you pressing the flesh? Man?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, pressing the flesh a bit?
- 11:36Speaker 3: But you know those situations that you talk about where
- 11:40Speaker 3: you go, oh, can I really be fucked? I'm now yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 3: eighty percent of the time going yes, I.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Can be Yes.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Golf today, well.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I would have loved to, as I say, but it
- 11:51Speaker 3: would have been a shit here anyway, by the sounds
- 11:53Speaker 3: of it. But no, certainly just going out and doing
- 11:56Speaker 3: stuff and I always feel better for doing that, you
- 11:59Speaker 3: know what I mean? Rab Im sitting around going what
- 12:02Speaker 3: should I should? I pull the trigger and do it?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Man, Just do it, man.
- 12:07Speaker 5: Just do it. That down It's inspirational, isn't that?
- 12:11Speaker 4: Nike Shi labou.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Hey.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Listen to the Hidarky Big Show four or seven every
- 12:18Speaker 6: single week day on Radio Hadarchy.
- 12:19Speaker 4: You will really enjoy it.
- 12:20Speaker 1: My CAP's giving me a headache. I think it's too tight.
- 12:25Speaker 4: That's pretty calm.
