Brady Thomas, a versatile two-way standout from Jacksonville State, was selected by the Houston Astros in the 14th round of the 2026 MLB Draft—making him the third Gamecock to be drafted this year. Though heading to Houston as a pitcher, Thomas also excelled at first base and as a DH, posting a stellar .329 batting average, 11 home runs, 43 RBIs, and a 1.132 OPS.
