- 0:21Speaker 2: Drive Hi, host of the Countries with Us.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Hello, Jamie good A, Heather.
- 0:25Speaker 2: So Fonterra has raised the farm bakeer if armgate and
- 0:28Speaker 2: milk price forecasts have they? Yeah, well it's the forecast
- 0:32Speaker 2: for the season just finished, So this morning a couple
- 0:34Speaker 2: of good news stories from Fonterra and ZESPRI in the
- 0:37Speaker 2: past couple of days. Sorry for the background noise. I'm
- 0:40Speaker 2: parked at Auckland Airport trying to find a quiet spot,
- 0:42Speaker 2: which isn't that easy at the moment. So yeah, for
- 0:46Speaker 2: the season just finished twenty four to twenty five, they've
- 0:49Speaker 2: moved that mid point to ten dollars fifteen. The range
- 0:53Speaker 2: is now ten dollars ten to ten dollars twenty So
- 0:56Speaker 2: that's locked and loaded. That is baked. And perhaps of
- 0:59Speaker 2: more interest was the number for the twenty five twenty
- 1:02Speaker 2: sixth season, which we've just entered into. They've narrowed that
- 1:05Speaker 2: range because remember they had a huge range from eight
- 1:08Speaker 2: dollars to eleven dollars and the midpoint that wasn't in
- 1:11Speaker 2: the middle because the midpoint was ten dollars. Now they've
- 1:14Speaker 2: narrowed that band down to nine to eleven dollars. The
- 1:18Speaker 2: midpoint is smaking the middle at ten. They're still forecasting ten.
- 1:21Speaker 2: That's a great result. Are the forecast earnings of sixty
- 1:25Speaker 2: five to seventy five cents per share remain unchanged and
- 1:29Speaker 2: that is the money in which the Fonterra Farmer shareholders
- 1:33Speaker 2: get their dividend, and I'm reckoning it could be anything
- 1:35Speaker 2: as high as fifty cents per share, Heather, which makes
- 1:38Speaker 2: it a pretty good yorder. Yeah, brilliant. They deserve it.
- 1:41Speaker 1: What about Despriy that's looking great, isn't it. Yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm going to be broadcasting from Talonga tomorrow, Heather,
- 1:49Speaker 2: so I'll be catching up with Jason to break the
- 1:52Speaker 2: CEO for Zesprie. They've come out with the strong full
- 1:57Speaker 2: first forecast get it right for the twenty five to
- 1:59Speaker 2: twenty sixth season. Everything is looking at record returns with
- 2:03Speaker 2: the exception of Sun Golden Organic Green, and they're within
- 2:07Speaker 2: the forecast range. The Kiwi fruit industry is on a
- 2:10Speaker 2: real high now. Their next job is to fulfill their
- 2:15Speaker 2: next ten year plan because their previous ten year plan,
- 2:18Speaker 2: Heather was to target four point five billion in sales
- 2:23Speaker 2: by twenty twenty five. They've done that and if I
- 2:26Speaker 2: just scroll down my page here, excuse me what for
- 2:29Speaker 2: the delay? Their next ambition or their next ten year
- 2:33Speaker 2: plan will be focused on being the world's world's healthiest
- 2:37Speaker 2: fruit brand, and I see no reason why they can't
- 2:40Speaker 2: do that. Heather Keiwi fruit is a superfood. Thank you, Jamie,
- 2:45Speaker 2: as always appreciated, and good luck with your flight. That's
- 2:47Speaker 2: Jamie mckaye, host of the Country.
