Late Friday night in southwest Edmonton, chaos erupted when a fire truck was struck by a car, and the driver allegedly attacked emergency crews with a blunt object before fleeing. The same vehicle was linked to two other hit-and-runs in the area, each involving similar assaults. Officers tracked the suspect to a house where a damaged car was found in a garage; when approached, the 59-year-old suspect, armed with edged weapons, confronted an officer, leading to a fatal shooting.
