- 0:02Speaker 1: On scorn loves Oustrodia. This is the Wider Panalty Show.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the reader Panekey Show.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Coming up tonight, the winners and losers of the Coalition
- 0:15Speaker 3: Split TENA McQueen and Primcswee will join me to discuss
- 0:18Speaker 3: the day's top headlines, including the ABC's gender wage gap,
- 0:24Speaker 3: is the float of public broadcast that guilty of discriminating
- 0:27Speaker 3: against females. Premieruson to Adam left fuming after a stuff that.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Saw cow poo dumped at her office. I'll speak to
- 0:36Speaker 2: the Liberal.
- 0:37Speaker 3: MP accused of facilitating that little stunt. Me Horowitz will
- 0:42Speaker 3: join me with the latest from the US, including revelations
- 0:45Speaker 3: that Hunter Biden wield its significant power in the Biden
- 0:49Speaker 3: White House and left these losing It features the ladies
- 0:53Speaker 3: of the view struggling to cope with reality.
- 0:57Speaker 1: If you're telling me that hundreds of people I knew
- 1:00Speaker 1: that he was not able.
- 1:02Speaker 4: To do his job, then where the hell was?
- 1:05Speaker 3: But first to the death of the Modern Day Coalition,
- 1:08Speaker 3: which met its bitter end yesterday following a breakdown in
- 1:11Speaker 3: negotiations between the Liberal and National parties. The Nationals leadership team,
- 1:17Speaker 3: consisting of David Little Proud, Bridget Mackenzie and Kevin Hogan
- 1:21Speaker 3: pull the pin on the coalition after Liberal leader Susan
- 1:24Speaker 3: Lee refused to agree to the National's list of four
- 1:27Speaker 3: non negotiables. These were nuclear energies, supermarket divestiture, the twenty
- 1:33Speaker 3: billion Regional Future Fund, and universal service obligations to ensure
- 1:39Speaker 3: reliable mobile phone coverage in regional areas. The end of
- 1:43Speaker 3: the coalition comes as many National MPs expressed their anger
- 1:48Speaker 3: at the fact that their party signed up to net
- 1:50Speaker 3: zero obligations, and as the Australian reports, was especially apparent
- 1:56Speaker 3: in yesterday's decision because the final trigger for David Little
- 2:00Speaker 3: Proud and his team was the fact that the Liberal
- 2:03Speaker 3: leader said she could not agree to a request from
- 2:07Speaker 3: mister Little Proud, allowing his shadow cabinet ministers a free
- 2:11Speaker 3: vote on contentious issues, including net zero emissions by twenty fifty.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Joining me now for more on this as Sky News
- 2:19Speaker 3: contributors pri McSween and Tina McQueen Tina, is this a
- 2:24Speaker 3: case of disunity leading to death? Is this the end
- 2:29Speaker 3: of Conservatives in Australia? Oh?
- 2:32Speaker 5: Look, I hope not.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I think it's been done out of sure prostration to
- 2:36Speaker 6: be honest reata. This has been you know, on the
- 2:38Speaker 6: card since Turnbulls leadership of the Liberal Party.
- 2:42Speaker 5: You know, that started to drag the party to the left.
- 2:45Speaker 6: And then continued, we haven't we haven't been there to
- 2:48Speaker 6: support our base with strong conservative views.
- 2:50Speaker 5: And I think then that's rightly.
- 2:52Speaker 6: So I said, you know enough, I've had enough, particularly
- 2:55Speaker 6: things like phone coverage. Seems like a little thing, but
- 2:58Speaker 6: as someone with a daughter living in the car, I travel,
- 3:01Speaker 6: you know, two hours of my four hour journey there
- 3:03Speaker 6: is no phone coverage. So but I can tell you Riata,
- 3:07Speaker 6: there's been a lot of Liberal donors that donate a
- 3:10Speaker 6: Liberal Party that have contacted me specifically offering their support
- 3:15Speaker 6: to Matt Canaban. There's a lot of support out there
- 3:17Speaker 6: for Matt Canaban and where the National stands at the moment.
- 3:21Speaker 6: So you know, look, clearly, ideally they have to get
- 3:24Speaker 6: together to form government at some stage for the next
- 3:26Speaker 6: election if they hope to win.
- 3:28Speaker 5: But you know, I admire the Nationals.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Some of them are giving up money, you know, have
- 3:33Speaker 6: a massive drop in pay. Now we stand on a
- 3:35Speaker 6: principle and I think that's you know, I take my
- 3:38Speaker 6: hat off to that and that shows a true politician
- 3:40Speaker 6: of conviction.
- 3:44Speaker 3: That's a very good point there, Prue. It's been under reporter.
- 3:48Speaker 3: They are going to be pay cuts here, and you
- 3:50Speaker 3: don't see politicians often opting for a pay cut, but
- 3:55Speaker 3: that's what they're doing, and they're doing it on principle.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Well, it's nice to see people politicians with principle for
- 4:03Speaker 7: a change. It's not just a pay cut, of course, it'll.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Be a staff cut.
- 4:07Speaker 7: So they're really a lot of people have been saying
- 4:10Speaker 7: they're just posturing and you know, spoiled brats and you know,
- 4:14Speaker 7: playing to their constituents. But I think it had to happen,
- 4:18Speaker 7: and I don't believe that you can trust that Susan
- 4:23Speaker 7: Lee who started off. I was impressed with her first speech,
- 4:26Speaker 7: but we know that she's woke, we know that she's
- 4:29Speaker 7: a wet We know that the moderates, you know, Photius
- 4:32Speaker 7: has his tentacles everywhere within the liberals, and so many
- 4:36Speaker 7: of them want to take it to the left, to
- 4:39Speaker 7: the center left, and that of course will spell you know,
- 4:44Speaker 7: incredibly bad news for the true conservative voter. So I
- 4:49Speaker 7: think it was great that Matt Canavan sort of was
- 4:51Speaker 7: the person who threw the grenade in I think little
- 4:56Speaker 7: proud if he continues supporting net zero is a dead
- 4:59Speaker 7: man walking. It's time for the Liberals to wake up
- 5:04Speaker 7: to themselves and not even consider drifting to the moderate
- 5:09Speaker 7: side a labor light. And they need to get their
- 5:12Speaker 7: finger out and start announcing policies that are going to
- 5:17Speaker 7: better reflect their core constituents who are conservatives.
- 5:21Speaker 6: Reader, Can I just add if the Nationals ran in
- 5:24Speaker 6: Susan Lee an Angus.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Taylor's seat, they would win.
- 5:27Speaker 6: So I think Susan Ly and Angus Taylor are going
- 5:30Speaker 6: to have to carefully consider their options.
- 5:33Speaker 5: I have no doubt that Nationals will win both those seats.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Well, let's talk about that, but first about the path
- 5:42Speaker 3: to reconciliation. There are liberal parties storewards urging for the
- 5:48Speaker 3: reconciliation to happen very quickly. Former Prime Minister John Howard
- 5:52Speaker 3: is one of those storeboards. He told the Australian Financial Review.
- 5:55Speaker 3: My advice is to reform as soon as possible and
- 5:58Speaker 3: resolve their policy differences within the framework of a coalition.
- 6:03Speaker 3: If they are separated for too long, they will increase
- 6:06Speaker 3: their differences and make resolution more difficult.
- 6:10Speaker 2: But that is looking unlikely.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Mid suggestions that David Little Proud and Susan Lee do
- 6:16Speaker 3: not like each other. The Australian reports Susan Lee intends
- 6:20Speaker 3: not to reform a coalition with David Little Proud's Nationals
- 6:24Speaker 3: before the twenty twenty eight election.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Tina, what is that going to mean? It would an
- 6:31Speaker 2: extended period of.
- 6:35Speaker 3: A split that last three years perhaps beyond. See these
- 6:39Speaker 3: two parties become too dramatically different. See the Nationals really
- 6:44Speaker 3: go back to their roots and see the Liberals become
- 6:47Speaker 3: some sort of teal alternative which is not going to
- 6:51Speaker 3: be appealing to the bulk of the country.
- 6:54Speaker 6: No, if the Liberals go down the till track, it's
- 6:56Speaker 6: going to be disaster, you know, they just they'll be
- 6:59Speaker 6: non existent. Look, maybe if these two leaders, who I
- 7:02Speaker 6: really think don't they don't get on, perhaps there may
- 7:06Speaker 6: be a change in leadership for.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Both parties to resolve this issue. I mean, who knows.
- 7:12Speaker 6: But clearly common sense and anyone with half a brain
- 7:16Speaker 6: knows that the coalition has to exist with it.
- 7:18Speaker 5: As I said, any hope to form government, but very
- 7:21Speaker 5: very stubborn.
- 7:22Speaker 6: But honestly, the left of the party cannot, the left
- 7:25Speaker 6: of the Liberal Party cannot take over or will be doomed.
- 7:29Speaker 5: So I say, you know, good.
- 7:30Speaker 6: On the Nats and hopefully there's enough people in the
- 7:33Speaker 6: Liberal Party that will look after their conservative base. Prue,
- 7:40Speaker 6: can you see that happening leadership changes at both parties
- 7:44Speaker 6: If you did have a Matt Canavan led Nationals and
- 7:47Speaker 6: a Angus Taylor led Liberal Party, you can see that
- 7:52Speaker 6: reconciliation happening quite easily, and hopefully walking away from policies
- 7:56Speaker 6: like net zero and giving Australians a real choice it
- 8:00Speaker 6: an election, not just being shadows of or echoes of labor.
- 8:05Speaker 7: Well, I certainly think Matt Canavan is the man for
- 8:08Speaker 7: the job. I've got my juries out in Angus Taylor
- 8:11Speaker 7: because well it's no doubt very bright, he's not great
- 8:15Speaker 7: at prosecuting an argument, so he's you know, and I
- 8:19Speaker 7: like Ted O'Brien although you know he is a moderate,
- 8:22Speaker 7: which worries me. But I thought he was very impressive
- 8:24Speaker 7: during the nuclear debate.
- 8:26Speaker 2: But you know, he's yet to be proven.
- 8:28Speaker 7: I mean, if he's going to be one of those,
- 8:31Speaker 7: you know, even a hidden woke moderate within the ranks,
- 8:34Speaker 7: and that wouldn't work. So I believe it's going to
- 8:38Speaker 7: mean that they will have to have a change of leadership,
- 8:41Speaker 7: and I think that Little Proud and Lee are probably
- 8:45Speaker 7: dead people walking.
- 8:46Speaker 6: The other death nel reta for Susan Lee would be
- 8:49Speaker 6: if she introduces quotas. Now, I was wildly misreported in
- 8:53Speaker 6: a newspaper at the weekend saying I supported quotas with
- 8:56Speaker 6: nothing for the truth, absolute rubbish. But if she attempts
- 9:00Speaker 6: to introduce quote quotas, I'll be one of the first
- 9:02Speaker 6: women to walk away from Liberal Party myself and join
- 9:05Speaker 6: the NATS.
- 9:07Speaker 8: Good.
- 9:08Speaker 3: She can't go down that worad surely, But Tina, I know,
- 9:15Speaker 3: and it's again, and she's got a history of flip
- 9:18Speaker 3: flopping on just about every issue, so God knows where she's.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Going to land.
- 9:23Speaker 3: But if there isn't a reconciliation here, Tina, can you
- 9:27Speaker 3: see the Nationals running candidates in her seat?
- 9:31Speaker 2: Can you see the.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Nationals un seating possibly the opposition leader in an election.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Look, it'll depends on their fundraising capabilities. And as I said,
- 9:41Speaker 6: the people that have contacted me are offering former Liberal
- 9:45Speaker 6: donors offering to support Matt Cannaban and the Nationals. I'm
- 9:48Speaker 6: quite alarmed at if they have the budget to do it.
- 9:52Speaker 6: They will run in those seats. They will running as
- 9:54Speaker 6: many seats as possible. And like I said, I mean
- 9:57Speaker 6: Susan Lease seat, what's formerly a National seat.
- 10:00Speaker 5: It's only the Cohen should deal.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Got no National ran in her seat, but Susan Lee's there,
- 10:05Speaker 6: so she knows herself that the Nationals would absolutely take
- 10:09Speaker 6: over her seat, and Angus Taylor as well. Now, pro
- 10:15Speaker 6: you mentioned Ted O'Brian, and this is further proof that
- 10:19Speaker 6: Liberals and Nationals aren't on very good terms right now.
- 10:22Speaker 6: The Deputy Opposition leader Ted O'Brien decided last minute to
- 10:26Speaker 6: pull out of a joint TV appearance with National Senator
- 10:29Speaker 6: Matt Canavan earlier this day.
- 10:32Speaker 9: We asked Deputy liberally Ted O'Brien on the show last
- 10:35Speaker 9: night and he agreed this morning at a courtesy, we
- 10:38Speaker 9: told him Matt Canavan was coming on too. All seems okay,
- 10:42Speaker 9: and then twenty minutes ago his team rang saying he
- 10:46Speaker 9: won't come on with Canadan. I mean, you can't make
- 10:49Speaker 9: it up. It's like maths the canber edition. Matt Canavan
- 10:52Speaker 9: is in the house. They made a good morning to you.
- 10:53Speaker 9: Nice to see this one morning, Carl. How'd your sleep
- 10:56Speaker 9: last night?
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm not bad, mate.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Carl Stephanovic compared that to an addition of maths.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Tina, what was that about?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Why would he refuse to appear on a program with
- 11:07Speaker 3: Matt Canavan?
- 11:09Speaker 6: Well, Carl's implying there some lover stiff, you know, some breakup.
- 11:14Speaker 5: I think.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Look, Matt is a star performer, he knows his stuff.
- 11:18Speaker 6: I do think there'd be a little bit nervousness in
- 11:20Speaker 6: Tet O'Brien that he would say the wrong thing and
- 11:23Speaker 6: goof up.
- 11:23Speaker 5: But that's a cowardly.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Thing to do twenty minutes prior to appearance on a show,
- 11:28Speaker 6: because I tell you one thing, Matt Canavan will never
- 11:31Speaker 6: back down from a fight.
- 11:35Speaker 3: No, you would be appearing on a program with anybody
- 11:38Speaker 3: from Sarah Hanson Young to.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Tedo Brian. Bizarre. Bizarre.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Now let's have a look at how some of the
- 11:46Speaker 3: leftist papers are reacting to the split. The Sydney Morning
- 11:50Speaker 3: Herald has gone with this angle, claiming the Nationals once
- 11:55Speaker 3: got their way because they argued their corner and didn't
- 11:58Speaker 3: make empty threats. The Junior Coalition Party is reduced to
- 12:03Speaker 3: a juvenile outfit. That seems a bit harsh prove given
- 12:08Speaker 3: that they did pretty well at the recent election. It
- 12:12Speaker 3: was the Liberals who failed comprehensively. The Nationals seem to
- 12:15Speaker 3: know who they are a lot more than the Liberals
- 12:19Speaker 3: who have got this identity crisis at the moment.
- 12:22Speaker 7: Look, the credibility of these media outlets has just gone
- 12:27Speaker 7: down the toilet, you know when you look at of
- 12:30Speaker 7: course they're going to blame the Nats and take that
- 12:34Speaker 7: stance because they've all got agendas. Now most journalists have
- 12:38Speaker 7: agendas who are writing for these lefty papers.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Tina, you could have a situation where you know that
- 12:44Speaker 3: the gap between the parties is an enormous now with
- 12:47Speaker 3: the number of seats they hold, so you could have
- 12:50Speaker 3: the Nationals holding more seats and being the official opposition
- 12:54Speaker 3: party compared to the Liberals. I mean that is not
- 12:57Speaker 3: beyond the realms of possibility.
- 13:00Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 13:00Speaker 6: I mean you've only got to look at Nigel Farage
- 13:03Speaker 6: what he's done, you know, And I think the Nationals
- 13:05Speaker 6: have been following that closely as well, and I think
- 13:08Speaker 6: has given them the confidence to really dig in their
- 13:12Speaker 6: heels and stand on their principles and realize that they
- 13:14Speaker 6: can win over Because as you said, they performed very.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Well in the federal election.
- 13:19Speaker 6: I have no doubt they're eyeing off a number of
- 13:20Speaker 6: seats they can pick up and doing their numbers closely.
- 13:23Speaker 6: And I think the lefty, as the lefties in the
- 13:25Speaker 6: Liberal Party, have to acknowledge this and be very careful
- 13:28Speaker 6: of the direction they take.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Rita.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Now moving on to other issues, the ABC is failing
- 13:36Speaker 3: to walk the talk when it comes to gender equality.
- 13:40Speaker 3: You see, there's a Workplace Gender Equality Agency data released
- 13:45Speaker 3: today and it shows that the ABC has a median
- 13:49Speaker 3: gender pay gap of nine point eight percent favoring men. However,
- 13:55Speaker 3: the same agency are revealed last year that Sky News
- 13:58Speaker 3: Australia does not have a gender pay gap. In fact,
- 14:02Speaker 3: the women here are paid slightly more than men on average,
- 14:06Speaker 3: just one percent more. Pro looks like the ABC perhaps
- 14:10Speaker 3: needs to launch an investigation into the ABC well.
- 14:15Speaker 5: On this and many other things.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Rita.
- 14:17Speaker 7: You know, but they can't even define what a woman is,
- 14:20Speaker 7: So how do they know, you know, what the disparity is?
- 14:24Speaker 7: You know, I mean maybe they you know, they're just
- 14:27Speaker 7: deluded by it all. I just find it amusing that
- 14:31Speaker 7: the one organization that they hate most guy is leading
- 14:37Speaker 7: the way. They're just you know, the hypocrites, their bedweathers.
- 14:42Speaker 7: They're pathetic. We know that the quicker that can become cold, see.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Tina.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Could we see a policy shift from the coalition if
- 14:54Speaker 3: it becomes the coalition again, certainly you would accept, expect,
- 14:57Speaker 3: hopefully the Nationals to take a stronger life and against
- 15:00Speaker 3: the public broadcast because we've seen the Liberals in power
- 15:05Speaker 3: and they've done nothing to curb.
- 15:07Speaker 2: The ABC's activism or.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Even hold them accountable for not living up to their
- 15:13Speaker 3: own rules. I mean, they're the ones who are pushing
- 15:15Speaker 3: this gender wage gap nonsense constantly, but they don't practice
- 15:21Speaker 3: it themselves.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Look, we wasted a lot of years in power not
- 15:25Speaker 6: doing a thing. I mean, Tony have at once one
- 15:27Speaker 6: thing where no minister was allowed to appear.
- 15:30Speaker 5: On the ABC. But you know you need to hit
- 15:32Speaker 5: them where it hurts. It's just ridiculous.
- 15:34Speaker 6: I do think the Coalition formed government, we do need
- 15:37Speaker 6: to slash that ABC budget. No one watches it. It's
- 15:41Speaker 6: of no use, not even the regional areas, where most
- 15:44Speaker 6: regional areas would much prefer. And the study show Sky
- 15:47Speaker 6: is much more popular in the regional areas now than
- 15:50Speaker 6: the ABC, so they serve no purpose anywhere.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Make them subscription tolerance. That's right, Yeah, that's it.
- 15:57Speaker 3: You want to if you want to view it, you
- 16:00Speaker 3: for it like you do with Sky News.
- 16:02Speaker 2: And many other options.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Now, a new Salvation Army survey has revealed some shocking
- 16:08Speaker 3: data of the This was a survey of vulnerable South
- 16:13Speaker 3: Australians and more than half of those surveys said they
- 16:17Speaker 3: are skipping meals, while nearly a quarter eating expired or
- 16:22Speaker 3: spoiled food in order to make ends meat, fifty six
- 16:27Speaker 3: percent said they were skipping meals so that children could
- 16:32Speaker 3: eat and Tina. Shockingly, pensioners are talking about opting for
- 16:39Speaker 3: cat food or dog food because that's the only way
- 16:42Speaker 3: they're going to get any sort of nutrition. I mean,
- 16:45Speaker 3: this is just shocking to read about in a first
- 16:49Speaker 3: world country.
- 16:51Speaker 5: It's terrible reader.
- 16:53Speaker 6: It really saddens my heart. But it's no surprise. And
- 16:56Speaker 6: this isn't just a recent thing. This has been happening
- 16:58Speaker 6: for a few years now where I live in Sydney,
- 17:01Speaker 6: across the road in the park, and it breaks my
- 17:04Speaker 6: heart every time, and I will make the effort. This
- 17:06Speaker 6: evening there's a woman living in a tent, an elderly woman,
- 17:10Speaker 6: and I thought maybe it was just a one or
- 17:12Speaker 6: two night. I've been told she's been there for weeks,
- 17:15Speaker 6: so this is really really shocking. There are more and
- 17:18Speaker 6: all homeless people when you walk up George Street around
- 17:21Speaker 6: Circular Key.
- 17:22Speaker 5: We've got Vivid starting soon.
- 17:23Speaker 6: I don't know what these pool buggers are going to do,
- 17:25Speaker 6: because many of them the only shelter they get. But
- 17:28Speaker 6: the pensions have been incredibly hard hit and for a
- 17:31Speaker 6: long time have been resorting to eating very little, as
- 17:35Speaker 6: you say, you know, dog or cat food.
- 17:38Speaker 3: It's disgraceful, absolutely just absolutely appalling. Before your ladies go,
- 17:46Speaker 3: I want to just bring you some international news. Italian
- 17:49Speaker 3: Prime Minister Georgia Maloney had a massive diplomatic wins. She
- 17:53Speaker 3: hosted a key trilateral meeting between the US Vice President
- 17:58Speaker 3: JD Vance and the EU Commission and President Ursula von
- 18:01Speaker 3: der Layan, and she's also now backing Tina Donald Trump's
- 18:06Speaker 3: suggestion that the Vatican could help mediate talks between Ukraine
- 18:11Speaker 3: and Russia. This is quite a starring role for Maloney. Tina,
- 18:18Speaker 3: she is offering a assistance in that she's back Trump's proposal,
- 18:23Speaker 3: and she's really become the crucial leader in Europe right now,
- 18:29Speaker 3: particularly in.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Trade talks with the US RITA.
- 18:33Speaker 5: She deserves his starring role.
- 18:36Speaker 6: She's been a really great leader, and she's you know,
- 18:39Speaker 6: she's always been an admirer and understood what Trump is
- 18:42Speaker 6: doing and trying to do. And I think she'll play
- 18:45Speaker 6: a crucial role moving forward. And I'm sure her and JD.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Bans got on remarkably well. And hopefully with her pressure
- 18:53Speaker 6: and the assistance of Trump and the input of the
- 18:55Speaker 6: Pope that finally something can happen.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I remember when she was elected, the coverage in the.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Western media was disgusting.
- 19:07Speaker 3: They were painting her as some extremist, some threat to democracy,
- 19:12Speaker 3: some radical fascist woman, and she's nothing of the sort.
- 19:18Speaker 3: And she's proved that and she's possibly the most popular
- 19:21Speaker 3: leader in Europe right now.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Well, of course, anybody that they can crucify, they'll do
- 19:27Speaker 7: and call a fascist, you know what they're like. She
- 19:30Speaker 7: is so impressive. I just wish we had a Maloney here.
- 19:33Speaker 7: We need someone to come in and kick some ass,
- 19:36Speaker 7: you know, have balls and backbone and understand that most people,
- 19:41Speaker 7: really thinking people she would represent and Susan Lee, the
- 19:48Speaker 7: liberals need to understand that this is what resonates with people,
- 19:52Speaker 7: not this kind of woke nonsense.
- 19:54Speaker 2: And they also need to understand.
- 19:56Speaker 7: That in three years time, when again the cost living
- 20:00Speaker 7: there'll be more people on the streets, the cost of
- 20:02Speaker 7: living is going to really impact even more because of
- 20:06Speaker 7: the energy disgrace of Bowen that you know, they're barking
- 20:10Speaker 7: up the wrong tree, people will be really wanting and Noel,
- 20:13Speaker 7: let's hope they Let's hope they wake up to those realities.
- 20:19Speaker 7: We're living high pro McSween teena McQueen, thank you so
- 20:21Speaker 7: much for your time tonight.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Still toy karma.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Lefties losing it past the latest from the US, including
- 20:27Speaker 3: revelations that Hunter Biden wielded significant power.
- 20:31Speaker 2: In the Biden White House. Army Horowitz joins me.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Next, you're watching the Reader Panny Show, and it's time
- 20:45Speaker 3: for lefties losing it And how do we get this
- 20:48Speaker 3: deep into the wag without some input from the ladies
- 20:51Speaker 3: of the view. And these miserable maidens are losing their
- 20:55Speaker 3: teeny tiny minds again about Joe Biden.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Eighty three, So he's a little stumbling, he's a little rumby.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I can't point to anything that he's done as present
- 21:08Speaker 1: that he did, but I want somebody to tell me, well,
- 21:12Speaker 1: when did you know it was bad?
- 21:15Speaker 2: If you knew, why did you wait?
- 21:17Speaker 10: So he said that it was after moderated the debate.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Yes, but I'm sorry, baby, that's not what I'm talking about.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm talking about.
- 21:25Speaker 2: If you're telling me.
- 21:27Speaker 1: That hundreds of people people knew that he was not
- 21:31Speaker 1: able to do his job, then where the hell was everybody?
- 21:35Speaker 3: Hundreds of people will bee hundreds of millions of people
- 21:39Speaker 3: around the world who don't get their news from leftist
- 21:41Speaker 3: lies like you knew about Joe Biden's cognitive decline. They
- 21:45Speaker 3: knew it was real and it made him unfit for offers.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I've been covering it on this station for more than
- 21:51Speaker 3: five years. Let's just have around twenty seconds of President
- 21:56Speaker 3: Applesauce Prudent's cryptocher.
- 22:00Speaker 11: Yeah, America is a nation that can be defined in
- 22:05Speaker 11: a single word.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Him the idea that Los Angeles and and uh, what
- 22:20Speaker 1: am I doing here?
- 22:21Speaker 2: I don't know what you were doing that? I don't
- 22:23Speaker 2: know how whoop? He missed all that.
- 22:25Speaker 3: It was only around a week ago when Joe Biden
- 22:27Speaker 3: and Chief Elder Abusa Jill were on the view to
- 22:31Speaker 3: try to dispel any notions of his feeble mental state.
- 22:36Speaker 2: It did not go well or the.
- 22:41Speaker 12: Project the benefits.
- 22:43Speaker 13: How do you lead the world having best instructional How
- 22:45Speaker 13: do you lead the world but that of the best healthcarenral.
- 22:48Speaker 3: But we can hardly expect any level of integrity or
- 22:51Speaker 3: consistency from the ladies of the view. And let's stay
- 22:56Speaker 3: on whoop be gold work because remember when she said
- 22:59Speaker 3: this before the election, disputing the notion that Donald Trump
- 23:02Speaker 3: and the Republicans were pro family.
- 23:06Speaker 4: The thing that really pisses me off about this is,
- 23:11Speaker 4: you know, if you all really cared about children, where
- 23:15Speaker 4: are the tax credits? Where's the paid family leave?
- 23:18Speaker 5: Where's the free house clock?
- 23:20Speaker 4: You know?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yep, she's demanding tax credits.
- 23:23Speaker 3: But now that the Trump administration is coming through with
- 23:27Speaker 3: some relief, she ain't happy.
- 23:30Speaker 4: So as birth rates continue to decline in America, the
- 23:35Speaker 4: White House is looking into offering five thousand dollars cash
- 23:39Speaker 4: bonuses expanded access to IVF, along with other incentives for
- 23:46Speaker 4: women to have more babies.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Why and okay, I am in incredibly insulted.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Because clearly they don't know how women's bodies work.
- 24:08Speaker 2: She's so insufferable, isn't she?
- 24:10Speaker 3: And yes, Wellee I'm sure it's Republicans who don't know
- 24:13Speaker 3: how women's bodies work, not your ilk who claim women
- 24:16Speaker 3: can have penises and men can breastfeed. But how interesting
- 24:21Speaker 3: that you are insulted, You are enraged by the very
- 24:25Speaker 3: tax credits you were demanding. Now she's mocking the five
- 24:29Speaker 3: thousand dollar benefit because that's nothing. Well, what's that going
- 24:33Speaker 3: to cover lunch?
- 24:35Speaker 4: I don't know what five thousand dollars is supposed to do.
- 24:37Speaker 5: And it's not even five thousand.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Dollars because you have cut it in half cuse you
- 24:40Speaker 4: got paid.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Taxes on it. Yeah, so they're offering you twenty five
- 24:44Speaker 5: hundred dollars.
- 24:48Speaker 3: They're just the worst, aren't they? Now talking about miserable maidens?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Here is Hillary Clinton being Hillary Clinton? Ie awful?
- 24:59Speaker 7: Did do you have the first female president of the
- 25:03Speaker 7: United States?
- 25:05Speaker 14: Well, first of all, don't be a handmaiden to the patriarchy,
- 25:17Speaker 14: which kind of eliminates every woman on the other side.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Of the aisle handmaidens for the patriarchy. That's how Hillary
- 25:26Speaker 3: describes Republican women, except for someone like Liz Cheney.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Because someone as awful as Hillary.
- 25:32Speaker 3: You know, it's a little rich for the woman who
- 25:35Speaker 3: allowed herself to be repeatedly humiliated over and over again,
- 25:40Speaker 3: over and over again. Would Bill Clinton's wild philandering affair
- 25:45Speaker 3: after affair, Monica Paula, Jennifer Kathleen, The list goes on.
- 25:50Speaker 3: And I'm not even touching on his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Never forget that this was the painting in prime position
- 25:58Speaker 3: in Jeffrey Epstein's And through all of that humiliation, Hillary
- 26:04Speaker 3: stood by her philandering man. Want to talk about a
- 26:08Speaker 3: handmaiden for the patriarchy, Look in the mirror, love. Now
- 26:13Speaker 3: let's go to Colorado and check in with how the
- 26:16Speaker 3: Democrats are faring. This is Colorado State Senator Chris Kolka,
- 26:21Speaker 3: who says he is accountable to God and that's why
- 26:25Speaker 3: he's standing up for equality and trans Jesus trans.
- 26:31Speaker 11: What I'm accountable to, Almighty God because I'm standing up
- 26:38Speaker 11: for equality. Well, my dear judgment, I might be standing
- 26:42Speaker 11: in front of treans Jesus, I don't know. I don't know.
- 26:48Speaker 2: That's what I believe.
- 26:52Speaker 11: And I believe that Jesus God, we'll look at me
- 26:56Speaker 11: and say you should do it up for people.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Now to Jake Tappa's new book, Original Sin on President
- 27:02Speaker 3: Biden's decline and its cover up covered up by the
- 27:06Speaker 3: likes of Jake Tappa. We haven't forgotten Jake, but he's
- 27:10Speaker 3: on the book tour and his fellow lefties are treating
- 27:13Speaker 3: these revelations on Biden's decline like it's breaking news. One
- 27:17Speaker 3: interesting note, again, something those on the right have pointed
- 27:21Speaker 3: out for some time is the Biden family's dodgy business
- 27:25Speaker 3: stealings involving Hunter Biden, often whose influence extended to the
- 27:31Speaker 3: Oval Office. Indeed, was America being unwittingly led by this guy.
- 27:41Speaker 15: Just the term crack commandments, all these rules you'll have
- 27:45Speaker 15: Mad bretton WM if not for twenty four years on
- 27:48Speaker 15: the Week Up.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Good Lord, Let's hear what CNN anchor Jake Tapper has
- 27:53Speaker 3: to say.
- 27:54Speaker 12: How big a factor was the Hunter stuff? I think
- 27:57Speaker 12: it was considerable. I think Hunter was driving the decision
- 28:00Speaker 12: making for the family in a way that people he
- 28:03Speaker 12: was almost like a chief of staff of the fanis.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Does that strike you as pretty bizarre?
- 28:07Speaker 12: It's bizarre because I think he is provably demonstrably unethical, sleazy,
- 28:14Speaker 12: and prone to horrible decisions. I mean, tell me how
- 28:16Speaker 12: you really feel, well, I mean, I just just look
- 28:20Speaker 12: at the record. I mean, after his brother died, he
- 28:23Speaker 12: cheated on his wife with his brother's widow and then
- 28:25Speaker 12: got her addicted to crack.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Just for beginners joining me now for more on this
- 28:30Speaker 3: is filmmaker Army Horoid's army.
- 28:33Speaker 2: What do you make of that? Who was running the country?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Was it Jill? Was it Hunt?
- 28:38Speaker 3: Or was it the faceless men and women pulling Joe's strings? Yeah?
- 28:44Speaker 13: Well, a lot has been written about it, and a
- 28:46Speaker 13: lot more will be written about it going forward. But
- 28:49Speaker 13: it seems like there was like a pullet bureau of
- 28:52Speaker 13: less than a dozen people, five to eight people who
- 28:55Speaker 13: were in fact what in the country. Look, I want
- 28:58Speaker 13: to point out that the concertutional powers given the president
- 29:02Speaker 13: are given to only one person, the president. The president
- 29:06Speaker 13: himself can't even delegate it to other people if he
- 29:09Speaker 13: wanted to, certainly can't do it if he doesn't have
- 29:12Speaker 13: the wherewithal to do it himself.
- 29:14Speaker 8: Right.
- 29:15Speaker 13: No, this is the party of democracy, the party of
- 29:18Speaker 13: fall the Constitution. Yet they were undermining democracy, undermine the
- 29:22Speaker 13: constitution by running the country essentially by say, behind his back,
- 29:27Speaker 13: but it was in front of his face, and he
- 29:28Speaker 13: couldn't realize what was going on. H This is a
- 29:31Speaker 13: significant and massive legal problem that needs to be sorted out.
- 29:35Speaker 13: And look, first and foremost among the prince lings, where
- 29:40Speaker 13: of course Jill Biden and Hunter Biden. And I don't
- 29:43Speaker 13: have to go look, you did that montage. I don't
- 29:46Speaker 13: have to go into who Hunter Biden was. We all
- 29:48Speaker 13: know he was doing crack cocaine off the back of hookers, right,
- 29:52Speaker 13: I mean, I don't have to go on and on
- 29:53Speaker 13: about what he was doing in his private life. Yet
- 29:56Speaker 13: he was.
- 29:58Speaker 8: Wed.
- 29:58Speaker 13: You just showed it, right, I mean, that was a
- 30:00Speaker 13: really great montage of the Biden's life. Look, Hunter Biden
- 30:06Speaker 13: was in cabinet, was in Oval office meetings, very high
- 30:10Speaker 13: level over Oval office meetings. So it was Joe Biden.
- 30:14Speaker 13: I think the whole country needs to be worried about that. Obviously,
- 30:17Speaker 13: who had controlled the auto pen is another question, right,
- 30:20Speaker 13: who was the person in fact signing these bills, signing
- 30:25Speaker 13: these pardons. It seems like it wasn't. It wasn't Joe
- 30:29Speaker 13: Biden the auto pen. While yes, one is allowed to
- 30:32Speaker 13: use an autopen, which is essentially for those who don't know,
- 30:34Speaker 13: the president has to sign all these things physically, But
- 30:37Speaker 13: there has been a tradition of using this automatic pen
- 30:40Speaker 13: that signed his name. As long as he is there
- 30:42Speaker 13: and watching it happen, who had control of it, we
- 30:44Speaker 13: don't know. And by the way, just so we're totally clear,
- 30:48Speaker 13: Biden ran, and this actually adds is a very interesting question.
- 30:52Speaker 13: Biden ran as a moderate. Biden his whole career prior
- 30:56Speaker 13: to being president was in fact moderate. Yet the whole
- 30:59Speaker 13: country termed hard left, the administrator hard left. While he's
- 31:03Speaker 13: being present, we all scratched our heads and said, it
- 31:05Speaker 13: doesn't seem like who Joe Biden was. Well, now we
- 31:08Speaker 13: know that there was a cabal of people and it's
- 31:11Speaker 13: administration who were part of the hard left, who were
- 31:14Speaker 13: controlling what was going on. I think this is becoming clear.
- 31:17Speaker 13: This is an absolute scandal of historic proportions.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Reader, that is well said, a scandal of historic proportions.
- 31:27Speaker 3: But back on the book, Jake Tapper has put out
- 31:31Speaker 3: he's admitted on Meghan Kelly's program he was being promoting
- 31:35Speaker 3: the book everywhere, and he admitted to her that he
- 31:38Speaker 3: has apologized to Lara Trump for dismissing her in a
- 31:42Speaker 3: really quite a hostile manner when she raised issues about
- 31:46Speaker 3: Joe Biden's cognitive decline back in twenty twenty.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Have a look.
- 31:51Speaker 1: I think what we see on stage with Joe Biden,
- 31:54Speaker 1: Jake is very clearly a cognitive decline.
- 31:57Speaker 2: That's what I'm referring to. It makes me uncomfortable.
- 32:00Speaker 10: You have no I think it's so amazing. It's so
- 32:03Speaker 10: amazing to me that try and figure out an answer
- 32:06Speaker 10: a cognitive decline.
- 32:07Speaker 2: You need to tell me that what I was suggesting.
- 32:10Speaker 10: Was I think that you were marking his stutter. Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 10: I think you were marking his stutter. And I think
- 32:14Speaker 10: you have absolutely no standing to diagnose somebody's cognitive decline.
- 32:18Speaker 2: It's all well.
- 32:19Speaker 3: And good to apologize and to be making these revelations now, Army,
- 32:23Speaker 3: but it's too little, too late in my book, And
- 32:29Speaker 3: Jake Tapper was still covering up Biden's cognitive decline last year,
- 32:34Speaker 3: almost right up until he dropped out of the reelection race.
- 32:38Speaker 3: So what credibility does he have and what damage is
- 32:44Speaker 3: this book going to do to Joe Biden's legacy.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Because it does seem to be.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Large suedes of the country who watch CNN, MSNBC and
- 32:55Speaker 3: other leftist media who are surprised by these revelations who
- 32:58Speaker 3: seemed to have completely missed what the rest of us
- 33:02Speaker 3: have been reporting for the last five years.
- 33:06Speaker 13: I mean, the answer is is right, is self evident
- 33:10Speaker 13: that the media has no credibility? Right the debt If
- 33:15Speaker 13: one goes in Ford history and says, okay, media died
- 33:18Speaker 13: in America, and they point to when that happened, It
- 33:21Speaker 13: happened during the Biden presidency. It happened when they were
- 33:24Speaker 13: covering up for what they knew was his inability to govern.
- 33:30Speaker 13: And of course when they covered they try to cover
- 33:33Speaker 13: it up even after that debate, which is when it
- 33:35Speaker 13: actually all the you know, it all blew open. Look,
- 33:38Speaker 13: the question is where do we go from here?
- 33:40Speaker 6: Right?
- 33:40Speaker 13: How are they going to look at Republican conspiracy theories
- 33:45Speaker 13: moving forward? Right, whether or not as Republicans talking about
- 33:48Speaker 13: how the media has conspired on Russia Gate and Russia
- 33:52Speaker 13: Russia Russia, or our crazy idea that COVID came from
- 33:57Speaker 13: a lab in Wuhan, right, or that BLM wasn't really
- 34:02Speaker 13: exactly mostly peaceful. These are all crazy conspiracy theories, right,
- 34:06Speaker 13: every single one of them obvious he proved true. The
- 34:08Speaker 13: question is how they entreat the conspiracy theories of the
- 34:12Speaker 13: right going forward, and Rita, I gotta admit I highly
- 34:16Speaker 13: doubt that they're going to take them anywhere seriously than
- 34:18Speaker 13: they took them before, even though they were proven to
- 34:21Speaker 13: be wrong, and the conspiracy theorists have proven to me
- 34:24Speaker 13: right time and time and time again. Look, they're still
- 34:27Speaker 13: doubling down this. Nothing has changed. I mean, Hakim Jeffries
- 34:31Speaker 13: just talked about how it's a conspiracy theory that we're
- 34:34Speaker 13: saying that they may have known he had debilitating cancer
- 34:38Speaker 13: while he was president. Or David Axelrod saying that we
- 34:43Speaker 13: need to put criticism aside right now, right and asking
- 34:47Speaker 13: questions aside right now. No, David, this is exactly when
- 34:50Speaker 13: we have to be asking questions. This is when we
- 34:53Speaker 13: should be pushing this issue right. No, they have not
- 34:56Speaker 13: given up the ghost. They are not contrite. They are
- 34:59Speaker 13: push forward with this and the whole and all of
- 35:01Speaker 13: America and the world to understand what we're dealing with
- 35:04Speaker 13: when it comes to the media and how they view this.
- 35:07Speaker 13: And by the way, I don't think there's any small
- 35:10Speaker 13: you know, I think there's a connection between the fact
- 35:12Speaker 13: that we're seeing this happen right these stories are coming
- 35:15Speaker 13: out and Trump's approval rating are actually spiking for the
- 35:18Speaker 13: first time. I think people are looking at what the
- 35:21Speaker 13: quote unquote president was before and the president now and say,
- 35:25Speaker 13: I think we have a pretty good comparitive. We had
- 35:27Speaker 13: four years of last four years, So yeah, I think
- 35:29Speaker 13: there's a connection there.
- 35:32Speaker 3: And you make an excellent point on the timing of
- 35:35Speaker 3: this cancer diagnosis, because again this will be called a
- 35:38Speaker 3: right wing conspiracy theory, but I would suggest the majority
- 35:43Speaker 3: of Americans at this point don't believe the official narrative
- 35:46Speaker 3: that that only discovered in recent days that this advanced
- 35:51Speaker 3: cancer exists.
- 35:52Speaker 2: In fact, a number of experts have come out and said.
- 35:54Speaker 3: That's almost impossible to believe, given he is the president
- 35:58Speaker 3: who would be subjected to regular health checkups, fairly thorough checkups.
- 36:04Speaker 3: And it's just to me army, mind blowing that Joe
- 36:08Speaker 3: Biden's family.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Seeing his mental and physical.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Decline, wanted him to run again, wanted him to serve
- 36:17Speaker 3: four more years, and the Democrat machinery were happy to
- 36:21Speaker 3: help him do that until that disastrous debate performance.
- 36:26Speaker 2: It's almost cruel.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I mean, put aside everything else, the lack of transparency,
- 36:34Speaker 3: all the constitutional issues, but just the cruelty to a
- 36:38Speaker 3: man who's obviously not fit to lead.
- 36:42Speaker 13: Yeah, and I'll say one of two things happened. Redo, Okay,
- 36:44Speaker 13: I think this is much is clear and none of
- 36:47Speaker 13: them are good. And one is they knew about the
- 36:50Speaker 13: counter diagnosis and how severe it was and held it
- 36:53Speaker 13: back and hit it, which is bad enough, right. And
- 36:56Speaker 13: two is they didn't test him because they knew he
- 37:00Speaker 13: probably had it, didn't want anyone to know, didn't want
- 37:03Speaker 13: him to know, and held back this diagnosis four more years,
- 37:06Speaker 13: leading to a more severe metastating form that's cancer. It's
- 37:09Speaker 13: one of those two things, and neither one are pretty READO.
- 37:14Speaker 2: No, they're both pretty ugly.
- 37:15Speaker 3: And just the family members is mind blowing that they
- 37:19Speaker 3: would be party to any of that.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Now, this next story should be satire, but sadly it's not.
- 37:27Speaker 3: You'll remember Rachel Levine, formerly Richard Levine, the Biden Administration's
- 37:31Speaker 3: Assistant Secretary for Health.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Well, he's been.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Honored by a woman's college. Yes, Smith College presented Levine,
- 37:38Speaker 3: a man identifying as a woman, with an honorary degree,
- 37:43Speaker 3: and he also spoke to the school's graduating class. Now
- 37:46Speaker 3: to qualify for this on our Smith College requirements, state
- 37:51Speaker 3: that the college will consider women who are exemplars of
- 37:55Speaker 3: excellence in a wide range of fields, both academic and
- 37:58Speaker 3: non academic, and the criteria also says the college will
- 38:02Speaker 3: also consider individuals who have had a special impact on
- 38:05Speaker 3: Smith College, on the education of men, or on women's lives.
- 38:13Speaker 3: I don't know, Army, what do you make of this?
- 38:16Speaker 3: To me, it's almost satire material. But we continuously see
- 38:22Speaker 3: men identifying as women being honored with awards that are
- 38:26Speaker 3: normally reserved for just real women.
- 38:30Speaker 13: Yeah, first of all, Rita, if I can admonish you,
- 38:33Speaker 13: it is Admiral Levine, right, and so yes, I salute
- 38:37Speaker 13: Admiral Levine. Look, I gotta be honest, it doesn't really
- 38:42Speaker 13: matter to me. Okay, Smith College. Look, they give honorary
- 38:46Speaker 13: degrees to pretty much anybody. It's really not that big
- 38:48Speaker 13: a deal. I don't think it's I don't think that
- 38:50Speaker 13: part of the story is a big part of the story,
- 38:52Speaker 13: although I do want to point out right is Smith
- 38:54Speaker 13: College itself and the absurdity, nay, the lack of morality
- 38:59Speaker 13: of that of that school, that college. There's a couple
- 39:02Speaker 13: of stories that you may not known about. But Smith
- 39:04Speaker 13: College not that long ago had this story where there
- 39:08Speaker 13: was a black woman who went and was sitting eating
- 39:10Speaker 13: her food in a cafeteria that was closed in back
- 39:13Speaker 13: specifically said no one's allowed to eat this cafeteria for
- 39:16Speaker 13: a number of reasons, and a janitor who was given
- 39:18Speaker 13: that instructions walked up to her and said, excuse me,
- 39:20Speaker 13: but you're actually not allowed to eat here. She then
- 39:23Speaker 13: went to full meltdown mode and said, you are doing
- 39:25Speaker 13: this because I am black. I am eating while black,
- 39:28Speaker 13: not kidding. She had a total hissy fit.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Oh yes, I recall that story.
- 39:32Speaker 13: Well, security guard, that's right. Security guard came in and said,
- 39:35Speaker 13: I'm sorry, you're not gonna be here. What does Smith
- 39:37Speaker 13: College do? They fired the janitor, who was a working
- 39:41Speaker 13: man from the area and the security guard right after.
- 39:45Speaker 13: It was very clear that.
- 39:46Speaker 8: She was wrong.
- 39:48Speaker 13: They were following the dictat of the university themselves. Yet
- 39:51Speaker 13: they fired a blue class, lower class worker because a
- 39:57Speaker 13: black woman was eating in a person.
- 39:59Speaker 5: This is Smith College.
- 40:00Speaker 13: And one last story, if they met.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Smith College, that is who they are.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I mean, we've run out of time. Thank you so
- 40:07Speaker 2: much for your time tonight.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Pleasures stal To carm Premier listen to Alan left fuming
- 40:13Speaker 3: after a stunt that saw manure dumped at her office.
- 40:17Speaker 3: The Liberal m P accused of facilitating that stunt joins me.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Next, welcome back.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Joining me now is the state Liberal member for the
- 40:33Speaker 3: Western Victorian region, Bev MacArthur. Now, Bev, you were present
- 40:37Speaker 3: at the Raleigh yesterday on the steps of Parliament House.
- 40:40Speaker 3: We saw firefighters and farmers in large numbers protesting the
- 40:44Speaker 3: Allen government's new emergency services tax, which, as you say,
- 40:49Speaker 3: punishes the very farmers who helped protect regional communities by
- 40:53Speaker 3: volunteering in the CFA.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Jane, I think you're a fine west.
- 40:59Speaker 3: About it.
- 41:00Speaker 13: Did you're also a volunteer? Have a bit ban that.
- 41:04Speaker 7: Tell us the story.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Now your party has pledged to scraped attacks should you
- 41:09Speaker 3: win the state election in twenty twenty six. But that
- 41:13Speaker 3: wasn't the only protest you were present for yesterday. Also
- 41:16Speaker 3: helped a farmer deliver a small gift to listen to
- 41:19Speaker 3: Allan's parliamentary office, a box of cow manure along with
- 41:23Speaker 3: a note reading, dearest Ja Center, I have considered your
- 41:27Speaker 3: levy and here's my feedback. It's bull dust, love, Brutus
- 41:32Speaker 3: and family. Now, the Premier did not take this well
- 41:37Speaker 3: the couple.
- 41:38Speaker 15: Of liberal politicians acted in a disgraceful inappropriate way in
- 41:45Speaker 15: a workplace, in the parliamentary workplace. Well, I condemn that behavior.
- 41:51Speaker 15: You know who hasn't condemned that behavior, the leader of
- 41:54Speaker 15: the Opposition, Brad Baton.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Oh mine, that's a little bit precious, bear, because I
- 41:58Speaker 3: understand that this incident is before the Parliament's presiding offices.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Is there anything you can tell us about this? Are
- 42:05Speaker 3: you restricted in what you can say until it's been resolved?
- 42:11Speaker 8: Well, nobody has comment contacted me, Rita. But all I
- 42:15Speaker 8: can say is this labor government has failed over a
- 42:19Speaker 8: long period of time since they introduced this text to
- 42:23Speaker 8: listen to anybody. They won't answer emails of constituents, they
- 42:29Speaker 8: won't answer phone calls, they won't attend rallies. They weren't
- 42:33Speaker 8: on the steps of Parliament yesterday. They just do not listen.
- 42:37Speaker 8: And the farming community, and they make up a large
- 42:41Speaker 8: percentage of the CFA volunteer firefighters, are at their wits end.
- 42:46Speaker 8: They're in desperate situations, Rita. The drought, of some estimate
- 42:51Speaker 8: is worse than the nineteen hundred drought. There no water,
- 42:57Speaker 8: there's no fodder, and they can hardly get it from anywhere,
- 43:01Speaker 8: even if it's available from interstate. I understand this fodder
- 43:05Speaker 8: in Western Australia, but South Australia won't let us bring
- 43:09Speaker 8: it across the border. They're in a terrible situation. The
- 43:14Speaker 8: mental strain on farmers at the moment is terrible and
- 43:17Speaker 8: they're desperate and it's not fair that they impose attacks,
- 43:24Speaker 8: which I am so pleased the Coalition has pledged to
- 43:28Speaker 8: repeal when we defeat this shocking government in November twenty six.
- 43:33Speaker 8: This is what has to happen. You can't just keep
- 43:37Speaker 8: hitting people like this government's doing, and especially people that
- 43:41Speaker 8: feed those inside the tram tracks one hundred percent of
- 43:46Speaker 8: the time. It's a very sad situation out in the country, Rita,
- 43:53Speaker 8: and I'll stand with the farmers and the volunteer firefighters
- 43:57Speaker 8: and the professional firefighters. Every day they're looking after us.
- 44:02Speaker 8: They leave their properties to go and fight fight us,
- 44:05Speaker 8: often on state land, state forests, national parts. That's where
- 44:12Speaker 8: the fist start because of absolutely shocking management by this government.
- 44:17Speaker 8: And now they're going to be hit with one hundred
- 44:19Speaker 8: and fifty percent increase in attacks, which they absolutely can't afford,
- 44:24Speaker 8: especially at this time.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Now, You're right about the drought in parts of Victoria's
- 44:32Speaker 3: it's the worst we've ever seen. It's seen farmers forced
- 44:36Speaker 3: to send thousands of dairy cattle to be slaughtered because
- 44:39Speaker 3: they can't afford to feed them.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Feed costs of sought to record highs.
- 44:44Speaker 3: You've called on Victoria's Minister for Agriculture to address this situation.
- 44:49Speaker 3: What is being done to assist these farmers because there
- 44:52Speaker 3: seems to be a big divide between city folk and
- 44:56Speaker 3: regional people in this state. So many people in the
- 44:59Speaker 3: city aren't even aware about what's happening, and with this
- 45:03Speaker 3: crippling drought impacting so many farmers.
- 45:07Speaker 8: Well, thank you Rita for raising the issue, and it's
- 45:11Speaker 8: great that some of the metropolitan media are now picking
- 45:13Speaker 8: this up. And I'm sure people inside the tram tracks
- 45:19Speaker 8: they have great sympathy for the farming community because they
- 45:22Speaker 8: know they work hard. Their price takers, not price makers,
- 45:26Speaker 8: and it's very hard for them to get a product
- 45:28Speaker 8: to market and make a profit in the best of times.
- 45:32Speaker 8: Now when they're confronted by adverse weather conditions, increase rate rises,
- 45:39Speaker 8: increase bank interest rates, and huge increase in their input
- 45:46Speaker 8: costs as well, and then this tax on top it's
- 45:50Speaker 8: just been the last straw, combined with this drought. I
- 45:53Speaker 8: know on our farm there's just dirt. You can't see
- 45:57Speaker 8: anything but dirt, and with this a bit to win,
- 46:00Speaker 8: the topsails blowing away. So I've asked the Minister for Agriculture,
- 46:05Speaker 8: the state minister, to come and look at what the
- 46:08Speaker 8: situation is in our area. See for yourself how desperate
- 46:12Speaker 8: people are and how desperate the situation is. And there
- 46:16Speaker 8: are dairy farmers that are having to liquidate their herds.
- 46:20Speaker 8: And I was told by a counselor yesterday at the
- 46:23Speaker 8: rally that he'd been phoned by a farmer that morning.
- 46:27Speaker 8: He was just going to have to shoot forty cows,
- 46:30Speaker 8: but tens of thousands are going to the slaughter house.
- 46:34Speaker 8: And these are productive milking cows. Some of the beef
- 46:37Speaker 8: cattle that people can no longer retain are being sent
- 46:41Speaker 8: into state. But it's a shocking situation. And what the
- 46:46Speaker 8: government have handed out is a five thousand dollar grant
- 46:49Speaker 8: that you have to match if you're a farmer. Well
- 46:51Speaker 8: right now they don't have us spare five thousand dollars,
- 46:54Speaker 8: And in any case, where would ten thousand dollars go.
- 46:58Speaker 8: If you're trying and you've got to invested in infrastructure,
- 47:02Speaker 8: it's absolutely nothing.
- 47:05Speaker 3: And we had the state budget yesterday, Bev. It's grim figures.
- 47:11Speaker 2: There's now the way to look at it.
- 47:13Speaker 3: The Labor Government's annual tax take in Victoria is on
- 47:18Speaker 3: track to hit fifty billion by twenty thirty. You compare
- 47:21Speaker 3: that to what it was when Dad Andrews came to
- 47:24Speaker 3: power back in twenty fourteen.
- 47:26Speaker 2: It was eighteen point three billion.
- 47:28Speaker 3: So eighteen point three to fifty billion, and the state
- 47:33Speaker 3: debt is on track to hit two hundred billion. You
- 47:37Speaker 3: say you, if you were in power, you would do
- 47:39Speaker 3: something about this emergency services tax. But how can you
- 47:42Speaker 3: afford to This state is under crippling debt, the biggest
- 47:47Speaker 3: in the country. Surely money needs to come from somewhere.
- 47:52Speaker 8: Well, it shouldn't come from those who are in the
- 47:55Speaker 8: most desperate situation. The Fire services levy, as it was
- 48:00Speaker 8: first introduced, was to pay for fire services, and we
- 48:06Speaker 8: would ensure that that stayed as it was, but all
- 48:10Speaker 8: these other services were funded out of consolidated revenue. They've
- 48:15Speaker 8: just foisted a new property tax on Victorians. Every Victorian,
- 48:20Speaker 8: every household in Victoria will have one hundred percent increase.
- 48:24Speaker 8: Businesses and enterprises will have a further much higher increase,
- 48:28Speaker 8: and farmers was one hundred and eighty nine percent increase,
- 48:32Speaker 8: downdown to one hundred and fifty percent. So these core
- 48:37Speaker 8: services of keeping people safe should be the first priority
- 48:40Speaker 8: of government, that's what they should do. The fact that
- 48:43Speaker 8: they run these huge projects over budget, over time all
- 48:48Speaker 8: the time, and they're sucking everything out of the rest
- 48:52Speaker 8: of the economy to pay for their vanity projects inside
- 48:55Speaker 8: the tram tracks, and they expect people out outside of
- 48:58Speaker 8: the tram tracks to foot the bill. Bill. It's disgraceful.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Bev MacArthur, thank you so much for your time tonight,
- 49:07Speaker 3: and that's all the time we have tonight.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I'll see you at eleven tomorrow night. Don't go on
- 49:12Speaker 2: your air. Newsnight is up next
