The index measures the average performance of stocks. 855.4 million shares, valued at $28.4 billion, were traded in the bit over 51,600 deals. On the gainer side of things, the top three gainers were Austin Lars, LendAfrica, and Dark Communications. Austin Lars and LendAfrica gained 10%, so Austin Lars closed at $3.963.

  and then Latin Africa closed at 9.90 Naira. Dark Communications appreciated by 9.49% to close at 1.50 Naira. On the loser side of things, Guinea Insurance fell by 10% to close at 90 Naira. CMFC, that's the firm formerly known as Deep Capital, declined by 9.87% to close at 3.56 Naira. FTG Insure fell by 9.85% to close at 3.57 Naira.

  On the volume side of things, most actively traded stocks by volume were Sterling Financial, Zenit Bank, and Universal Insurance. Sterling Financial with 459.5 million shares traded, Zenit Bank with 41.1 million shares traded, and then third place was Universal Insurance with 30.2 million shares traded. On the value side of things, you have Aradel, Zenit Bank, and MTN Nigeria as the most actively traded stocks by value. Aradel with 4.5.
