- 0:31What's going on, everybody?
- 0:32Welcome to Lunch with the Clydesdale.
- 0:35My name's Scott.
- 0:37I'm the Clydesdale.
- 0:39Doing lunch right now.
- 0:40I'm just doing some coffee
- 0:41in between two meetings.
- 0:45So, man, what a day.
- 0:50The other chore I always
- 0:51have is I have to do
- 0:52laundry because the laundry
- 0:54room is right back there.
- 0:58So every time I come down to do a podcast,
- 1:00like I get a basket of laundry.
- 1:03And so I was trying to flip my loads.
- 1:07Sounded weird.
- 1:09So I was trying to get the
- 1:10washer to the dryer.
- 1:12New washer load started
- 1:15before the show started and
- 1:16made it here with about
- 1:18three seconds to spare.
- 1:20So here we are.
- 1:22Here we are.
- 1:25Yeah, Corey,
- 1:25I have no control over the ads.
- 1:28I think it's on you.
- 1:28It's your algorithm that
- 1:30tells them what to advertise to.
- 1:33So if they are random,
- 1:36it's because you are messing with them.
- 1:40What's going on, Jay Birch?
- 1:44Another fun day.
- 1:48Yeah, man, meeting after meeting.
- 1:51I hate those.
- 1:53I'm with you, Jay Burch.
- 1:55So my Clydesdale media account is premium.
- 1:58My personal account is not.
- 2:00And it gets so frustrating
- 2:07watching the non-premium version.
- 2:12so yeah so I almost now
- 2:14always watch just on the
- 2:16anything if I'm watching
- 2:17anything I watched on the
- 2:18Clydesdale media account um
- 2:21which mostly it's CrossFit
- 2:22stuff anyway so I guess it
- 2:23is like my business um but
- 2:25it is the premium account
- 2:27so I don't have to deal
- 2:27with the commercials um and
- 2:30they just randomly pop in
- 2:32whenever they want which is
- 2:33so bizarre so bizarre
- 2:39When we first had this podcast,
- 2:40when we first went to YouTube,
- 2:42we didn't go live.
- 2:43We taped and then you could actually pick.
- 2:47Once you could monetize on YouTube,
- 2:49you could pick whether you
- 2:50wanted the ads to insert likely.
- 2:52So if it meant made more
- 2:54sense to go like in this
- 2:55spot or that spot.
- 2:57And I used to be so meticulous about like,
- 2:59Ooh, there was a little break here.
- 3:01I'll insert the ad here.
- 3:03So on and so forth, man,
- 3:05that got to be cumbersome.
- 3:08the best thing we ever did
- 3:10ever did was start going live.
- 3:12Um, one, it's just,
- 3:15it's way more authentic.
- 3:16Um, we are who we are.
- 3:18There is no edit button going live.
- 3:20Uh, we get to interact with all of you,
- 3:22which is the best.
- 3:24Um,
- 3:26And the editing process is way, way,
- 3:29way better because there is none.
- 3:33All I do after this show is
- 3:35I download the audio version of this,
- 3:37and then I upload that
- 3:38audio version straight to Spotify.
- 3:41Well,
- 3:42it's actually a software that then
- 3:44distributes it to all of
- 3:46the big platforms like
- 3:48Spotify and iTunes and you name it.
- 3:54It distributes it to it.
- 3:55So, yeah.
- 3:58A little behind the scenes there.
- 4:00But going live has been the
- 4:02best thing ever.
- 4:03And it allows me to do this
- 4:04show with you guys.
- 4:06Just chatting.
- 4:08Shooting the breeze.
- 4:11You are correct, Jay Birch.
- 4:13It's so much better with live chat.
- 4:18The only time, like...
- 4:20The only time it can get a
- 4:21little distracting is when
- 4:22I'm doing a conversation
- 4:25with an athlete or a coach
- 4:27and the chat's getting
- 4:29really active and I have to
- 4:31just ignore it to get
- 4:33through the stuff that I'm
- 4:34doing with that person to
- 4:37give them my full attention.
- 4:39When we first did that,
- 4:42it was really hard to
- 4:43ignore the chat and just
- 4:45focus on the person.
- 4:47Now it's pretty easy.
- 4:48That's just...
- 4:49I just have to shut you guys
- 4:50out for a couple of seconds
- 4:51while we're talking.
- 4:53Um,
- 4:53and then I can come back and look
- 4:55through and see if there's
- 4:56anything that I want to pull over, uh,
- 4:59for that guest, but it can get a little,
- 5:03little bit cumbersome at that point.
- 5:04But other than that,
- 5:06I wouldn't change it for the world.
- 5:10Uh, when we first did it,
- 5:11some of the guests, um,
- 5:15some of the guests did not
- 5:16like the idea of going live.
- 5:19They liked that we could, um, edit.
- 5:22Um,
- 5:22now I only had like two people ever
- 5:25asked me to edit out a piece.
- 5:28Um,
- 5:30but they liked the fact that they could,
- 5:33uh,
- 5:36Jay Bert says, do you ask,
- 5:38tell them to ignore the chat?
- 5:40I really don't.
- 5:41If they want to pay attention to it,
- 5:42that's, that's up to them.
- 5:45Most of them, most of them,
- 5:46I don't even think have the
- 5:47chat up unless they're like
- 5:50an experienced podcaster.
- 5:53I think like Ariel does.
- 5:57But like,
- 5:57I think Emily does hers on her phone.
- 5:59If you do it on your phone,
- 6:01there's no chance you're
- 6:02reading the chat.
- 6:03unless you have like super, super eyes.
- 6:11Text me who those two people are.
- 6:14I'm curious.
- 6:18You know what, I don't even remember, like,
- 6:20dude,
- 6:20we've done well over a thousand episodes.
- 6:23To remember, they were early on.
- 6:26I mean,
- 6:27I haven't done a taped show in like
- 6:30three years.
- 6:33I haven't done a tape show in three years.
- 6:36I do know the one that I had
- 6:37a lawyer contact me and I
- 6:39had to remove from my site
- 6:42because of a lawsuit
- 6:44between this individual and... Yeah.
- 6:48Yeah, that one was fun.
- 6:53That one was fun.
- 6:57And usually it's just like
- 6:58one little thing where they...
- 7:05Yeah.
- 7:06I can tell you one, Corey,
- 7:09once we're off the air that
- 7:10I know for sure.
- 7:12And then I know there was a couple others.
- 7:15But they were just minor.
- 7:17It was silly stuff that I
- 7:19think they took too seriously.
- 7:28Anyway.
- 7:29Okay.
- 7:30I think people think they
- 7:32have to be perfect when
- 7:34they're on the air.
- 7:36And I think that more
- 7:37important than perfect is authentic.
- 7:43That fans,
- 7:46if you're an athlete or the audience here,
- 7:49respond better to
- 7:50authenticity than they do to perfection.
- 7:55Yeah.
- 7:57And I think that's true just
- 7:58about everywhere in life.
- 8:01When I used to train
- 8:03trainers for the state,
- 8:06the ones that stumbled a
- 8:08lot tried to be perfect.
- 8:09And I said, it's okay to mess up.
- 8:11It's okay to mess up and
- 8:12then just admit your mistake and move on.
- 8:15Sometimes it actually
- 8:16loosens the audience up
- 8:18because it shows they can
- 8:19make mistakes too.
- 8:23And so I've always been a
- 8:25big proponent of be yourself,
- 8:27be authentic.
- 8:28It's more important than being perfect.
- 8:31You don't have to say every
- 8:32word perfectly.
- 8:35Just talk with the people
- 8:37you're training or talk to
- 8:38the people you're podcasting with.
- 8:40and um and let the rest come
- 8:42out in the wash right so
- 8:49there's that and if I mess
- 8:50up real bad he'll make a
- 8:51video of it and it'll get
- 8:52way more likes and clicks
- 8:53anyway so like there you go
- 8:57although I don't I don't
- 8:58know if he's ever made one
- 9:00on me he's made one he's
- 9:03made a few on people I've
- 9:04had on but I don't think
- 9:05he's ever made one on me specifically
- 9:11Anyway,
- 9:14so yesterday we talked a little bit
- 9:17about the Academy Awards,
- 9:19and does that make you want
- 9:22to go out and then watch those movies?
- 9:25I did get one comment on the
- 9:26YouTube side that...
- 9:30it does actually still to
- 9:31this day when they see the
- 9:33Academy Awards that gives
- 9:34them a list of movies that
- 9:35they want to go watch and I
- 9:37think that's cool that it
- 9:38still does that for some
- 9:39people it's lost it for me
- 9:42a little bit and but I'm
- 9:44glad to see that it does
- 9:45still help some people pick
- 9:48out what movies they want
- 9:49to go see and check out and
- 9:50different things like that
- 9:51so so that was kind of cool
- 9:56The other thing I wanted to talk about is,
- 9:58uh,
- 9:59twenty four twenty five point one is
- 10:00officially in the books and
- 10:04we have a leaderboard and
- 10:06we have scores and I think
- 10:11for me the most the most
- 10:13important thing for me was
- 10:15we needed to get past
- 10:17yesterday to today to know
- 10:19who's in who's out and be
- 10:21able to move on with this
- 10:22season and then you can
- 10:24follow your favorites
- 10:25either through the game
- 10:27season or through the wfp
- 10:30or through both whatever
- 10:31you choose to do and so a
- 10:34couple people that I I
- 10:36personally had in question
- 10:38as to whether they were
- 10:38going to sign up for the
- 10:39crossfit game season
- 10:42that actually have signed up
- 10:44and posted a score were Ariel Owen,
- 10:49Danielle Brandon, Danny Spiegel,
- 10:52Fisa Goffey, and Jeff Adler.
- 10:59One that I find really
- 11:01interesting is I wanted to
- 11:03see what Noah would do
- 11:05And Noah on his Instagram
- 11:07posted a reel of him doing
- 11:09fifteen point one,
- 11:11saying that he's still here,
- 11:14but I cannot find him on the leaderboard.
- 11:17So I don't know if he did
- 11:18the workout and then didn't
- 11:21post it or what,
- 11:24but I cannot find it on the leaderboard.
- 11:28But he did it.
- 11:29He showed the video of him doing it,
- 11:31didn't post a score, just said,
- 11:34I'm still here.
- 11:38one person that's not on the
- 11:39leaderboard that we
- 11:40expected is laura horvat
- 11:42she is not on she did not
- 11:43post a score so that's one
- 11:45person that we knew was
- 11:47probably not going to do
- 11:48that and she did not
- 11:52The other thing we talked
- 11:53about yesterday was that
- 11:56Tia had posted a score of
- 11:57like two twenty nine.
- 12:00And when you went and looked at the video,
- 12:01she actually had given
- 12:03Shane a three minute head
- 12:04start in that workout and
- 12:08got to twenty nine and posted it.
- 12:09She did redo it.
- 12:11I think she got to seventy nine.
- 12:15I want to say I'll look real quick here.
- 12:24to me she posted a score of
- 12:27two eighty seven two eighty
- 12:29seven which actually puts
- 12:31her in five hundred and
- 12:33twenty fifth place
- 12:34yesterday she was like three thousand
- 12:38And you have to be top
- 12:39twelve hundred to make it
- 12:42to the next to the semifinal level.
- 12:47And so just redoing it and
- 12:49getting those fifty sixty
- 12:52more reps got got her all
- 12:56the way up to five twenty five.
- 12:58So about middle in of the
- 13:01qualifying positions.
- 13:05I don't know what the final
- 13:07registration numbers are.
- 13:11It looks like on the women's side,
- 13:13we did not get over a hundred thousand.
- 13:19It was close, but not quite.
- 13:25And then on the men's side, I see a Shay.
- 13:30I'll come up with that a little bit.
- 13:35men's side looks like we got
- 13:39about almost two hundred
- 13:44and two I'm sorry hundred
- 13:45and twenty thousand
- 13:47somewhere in there hundred
- 13:48twenty something um so
- 13:52overall a little over two
- 13:53hundred thousand two ten
- 13:54two twenty somewhere in
- 13:56that area uh of
- 13:58participants in in the open this year
- 14:03Dave said on his week in review,
- 14:05he's just happy for those
- 14:06who did it and had a good time doing it.
- 14:09So there we are.
- 14:19Jay Birch,
- 14:20if you're talking about overall
- 14:21registrants, that is everybody.
- 14:25That is a two hundred and
- 14:26ten to twenty thousand.
- 14:29Last year we had, I want to say,
- 14:31three sixty or three eighty
- 14:33somewhere in that vein.
- 14:36So definitely a big decrease this year.
- 14:40So Shay asks, why is her score so low?
- 14:43Speculation that she's pregnant.
- 14:47I think she just is focusing
- 14:49in other directions right now.
- 14:51And once the opens over,
- 14:53she doesn't really have to
- 14:54compete until May for anything.
- 15:00April,
- 15:00if she chooses to do... I don't know
- 15:02when the... She did
- 15:04announce that she is doing the...
- 15:08torian pro I think yesterday
- 15:12and so that would be her
- 15:14first in-person semi-final
- 15:16and that's a lot of time
- 15:18between now and then she
- 15:20just has to get through
- 15:21this to the next level
- 15:22she's doing all this high
- 15:23rock stuff she moved back
- 15:24to australia she's got all
- 15:26the proven people down
- 15:27there that they're coaching
- 15:30I don't know if she's pregnant or not.
- 15:32If she's doing touring and announcing it,
- 15:35but she did that last time
- 15:36she was pregnant.
- 15:37So I don't know.
- 15:38I don't know if she's pregnant or not.
- 15:42uh yeah seems unlikely uh
- 15:45shay but I don't know
- 15:46because last time last time
- 15:49she was pregnant she
- 15:50actually announced she was
- 15:52doing uh I think it might
- 15:53have been torian then or
- 15:55their off-season
- 15:55competition the australian
- 15:57throwdown one of those uh
- 15:59and then backed out like
- 16:00the week before so uh so yeah
- 16:07And then Andrew says she
- 16:08knows she doesn't have to
- 16:09try very hard to make it to
- 16:10the next stage.
- 16:11I agree with this part wholeheartedly.
- 16:15I think she learned last
- 16:16year with the wrist injury,
- 16:17just get through this one,
- 16:19get through it unscathed,
- 16:20and then move on to where
- 16:24you have to be competitive.
- 16:29And Jay Birch says
- 16:31apparently Carrie Pierce is pregnant.
- 16:33Yeah.
- 16:33We talked about that on the Sunday show.
- 16:35There are actually three
- 16:36people in the CrossFit
- 16:38space that announced
- 16:39pregnancies in the last week or so.
- 16:41And that is Carrie Pierce, Amanda Barnhart,
- 16:45and Joanne Olson, Noah's wife, uh,
- 16:48announced she's pregnant as well.
- 16:50So those three in the
- 16:52CrossFit space are with child, uh,
- 16:56and congratulations to all them.
- 16:58Uh,
- 17:00happy for all of them
- 17:01they're all great people I
- 17:03think they'll all make
- 17:04great uh parents can't wait
- 17:06to see how that turns out
- 17:09um for all of them so yeah
- 17:15congratulations to all them
- 17:18so um let's take a quick
- 17:20look at the leaderboard uh
- 17:22since we're here I have the men's up now
- 17:30will share our screen and uh
- 17:34at the top of the men's
- 17:35division I don't think to
- 17:37anybody's surprise
- 17:38everybody predicted him to
- 17:39win and that's colton
- 17:40mertens um and he won with
- 17:42three hundred and sixty one
- 17:43reps three reps better than
- 17:45colin bossard uh dylan
- 17:48pepper took third uh
- 17:49jeffrey adler fourth george
- 17:51sterner fifth uh nicholas bedden sixth
- 17:56right yep uh oldest openix
- 17:58seventh austin hatfield
- 17:59eighth benoit boulanger
- 18:02ninth and ricky gerard
- 18:03tenth or they're all tied
- 18:05it looks like yeah and then
- 18:07reese mitchell tied um so
- 18:14that's your top ten it
- 18:15looks like both austin and
- 18:17roman redid it um
- 18:24I want to talk about that a
- 18:25little bit after we get,
- 18:26if we go to the women and
- 18:29everybody's pick to win the women's side,
- 18:32one, the women's side, uh,
- 18:35Mirjam Von Rohr, uh,
- 18:39Three hundred and fifty nine
- 18:40reps took first.
- 18:42Allison, Allison, he just took second.
- 18:47Caroline Dardini, third,
- 18:49tied with Fisa Goffey.
- 18:51Mano Anganese took fifth.
- 18:54Our very own Carolyn Prevost took sixth.
- 18:58Kristen Holt, she took seventh.
- 19:10Oda Lundekvam took eighth.
- 19:13Leah Storen tied.
- 19:15And Carly Stote took tenth.
- 19:17Lucy Campbell right there
- 19:18outside the top ten at eleventh.
- 19:23Carolyn did kill it.
- 19:25What's funny about getting
- 19:26to know Carolyn is she does
- 19:28the workout early in the weekend.
- 19:31She then stews on it all weekend.
- 19:35She wakes up Monday morning and thinks,
- 19:37I could do way better,
- 19:39and then redoes the workout.
- 19:41It is almost like clockwork
- 19:42every single week now that
- 19:47I've gotten to know her much better.
- 19:49And she improved by twenty
- 19:50reps on her repeat on Monday,
- 19:53which vaulted her into the top six,
- 19:57which is pretty awesome.
- 19:59Um,
- 19:59our other cohost on Sunday night is
- 20:02Jamie Latimer.
- 20:03She got three Oh three, um,
- 20:05which beat a lot of the big
- 20:09names in the sport.
- 20:11Um, we got to fit women on Sunday nights.
- 20:15Um,
- 20:17They are both incredible
- 20:18athletes and so proud of
- 20:21both of them for what they did.
- 20:24And then to not take
- 20:24anything away from Amy and
- 20:26Kat and Charlie, who all did it.
- 20:29Kat pretty much did it one
- 20:30armed as she's having surgery tomorrow.
- 20:36and uh charlie and amy both
- 20:38did well as as well uh
- 20:40they're really fit
- 20:41individuals so so proud of
- 20:43them as well that all of us
- 20:45signed up got workout one
- 20:47in um cat is probably out
- 20:50from here on uh with that
- 20:51surgery tomorrow uh but
- 20:54we'll see so uh good job to
- 20:59everybody involved
- 21:03It's funny because I'll look
- 21:04up Jamie on the board here,
- 21:08and when you see the names around her,
- 21:11Jamie is forty-two years old.
- 21:15Forty-one.
- 21:16Oh, she'll get mad at me.
- 21:18I made her older.
- 21:27This search thing is so bad this year.
- 21:32oh my goodness I hate it so
- 21:41much there we go um when
- 21:51you look around her and you
- 21:53see brooke wells olivia
- 21:58kerstetter sydney wells
- 22:01She beat all of them.
- 22:04She beat Tia.
- 22:06Uh,
- 22:06she was right there with Lexi Neely
- 22:08tied her.
- 22:10Um, there's Sydney McAlishan.
- 22:12Good to see her again.
- 22:16Um, for a forty one years old,
- 22:18she is so fit and it's awesome to see, uh,
- 22:22who who's around her in that workout.
- 22:25Um, but yeah.
- 22:30Proud of my team and my co-hosts.
- 22:33They are awesome, awesome athletes.
- 22:37So the other thing I wanted
- 22:38to talk about is if you did
- 22:40not watch Hiller's recap of his Instagram,
- 22:45no reps,
- 22:48almost all the athletes went back
- 22:50and redid their workout,
- 22:52which I found was really, really cool.
- 22:55Like Mano Angones was fourth in the world
- 22:59Did her workout.
- 23:01Hiller posts it and shows
- 23:05that she did not reach full
- 23:07extension on her right arm.
- 23:09She goes back and redoes the
- 23:11workout and scores almost
- 23:13identical while meeting standard.
- 23:16And now she's in the clear,
- 23:20which is pretty, pretty awesome.
- 23:24Uh, the same for,
- 23:25I think Austin went back and redid his,
- 23:29uh, so now he meets the standard.
- 23:31So that's pretty cool.
- 23:33Uh, and you are right.
- 23:33Corey,
- 23:34you're a hundred and sixty-fourth in
- 23:35the world.
- 23:35Ain't no joke.
- 23:37Jamie's fit, man.
- 23:38That it's just cool to see that.
- 23:40Uh, Sydney.
- 23:41Yep.
- 23:43Sydney McAlishan is one of
- 23:44my favorite people in the space.
- 23:47And I'm hoping that she can
- 23:48get back this year.
- 23:50Um,
- 23:52I just think the world of her.
- 23:54She's awesome.
- 23:57So can't wait to see what
- 23:58she does this year.
- 24:03But what are your thoughts on that?
- 24:06If you post your video early
- 24:08and Hiller gets a hold of it and he says,
- 24:10these are why these reps aren't right,
- 24:12and you go back and you redo it,
- 24:14instead of it being this, like,
- 24:17I hate athletes and, um,
- 24:19I'm making fun of athletes
- 24:21or whatever the narrative
- 24:22has been in the past,
- 24:24they're now using it as a
- 24:25tool to go back and correct
- 24:27the wrongs and make it
- 24:30right so that they are not penalized, um,
- 24:33with their workout.
- 24:35I think that is a really
- 24:36cool shift in narrative, um,
- 24:43with all of that and uh
- 24:45really cool that that he is
- 24:47doing that and taking the
- 24:48time to do that and not
- 24:51just for his own clicks but
- 24:53for them to fix the problem
- 24:55um is awesome and I like
- 24:59I'm a big fan of mano
- 25:00anganese to watch her the
- 25:02second time hit the
- 25:03extension was so cool
- 25:05because it showed she still
- 25:07could do it she could still
- 25:08hit the time and she could
- 25:10meet all the standards and still do it
- 25:17Shay loved all her interviews.
- 25:19Yeah, Sydney's just awesome.
- 25:22I got to meet her dad at Wadapalooza too.
- 25:25Just a great family.
- 25:26Got to meet her sister after
- 25:28an interview once when we
- 25:30were trying to convert
- 25:31metric or English to metric
- 25:33or metric to English.
- 25:34One of those things.
- 25:36She's really funny too.
- 25:40Corey says,
- 25:41all you need to know about Jamie,
- 25:42I learned at MFC two years ago.
- 25:44She got done with the same
- 25:45workout I had just did,
- 25:47and in the process of me
- 25:49telling her good job, told me,
- 25:51I beat you.
- 25:52Love it.
- 25:54Yeah, she's a little competitive.
- 25:56A little bit competitive.
- 25:59The thing that kills me
- 26:00about Jamie is when she
- 26:01finishes these like go dark workouts,
- 26:04she collapses at the,
- 26:06at the finish line in like a heap,
- 26:08like all scrunched up and
- 26:10then like tries to kick her shoes off and,
- 26:13and then just keeps in this
- 26:15like ball at the finish line.
- 26:18Most people lay out so they get more air,
- 26:21and they're trying to
- 26:21expand their lungs and do all this stuff.
- 26:24And there's Jamie in the
- 26:25fetal position every time at the end,
- 26:28all balled up in this
- 26:29little five-foot-two ball
- 26:32at the finish line.
- 26:33It's crazy.
- 26:36So any surprises for you
- 26:38guys on the leaderboard
- 26:39that you saw that you didn't expect?
- 26:44Anybody that you thought
- 26:46would be there and isn't or
- 26:48is there and didn't think would be there.
- 26:51Just curious your thoughts.
- 26:53And I'm just going to leave
- 26:54the last couple minutes
- 26:55here for any questions you
- 26:57guys have for me.
- 27:03Because I got a hectic day.
- 27:07Got to finish more laundry.
- 27:10Got a couple more meetings this afternoon.
- 27:13And then tomorrow,
- 27:15I have not had a haircut
- 27:17since before Thanksgiving.
- 27:20Tomorrow, getting her done.
- 27:24Tomorrow after the show,
- 27:26I am going to my girl
- 27:27Stephanie and have her do the do.
- 27:32Because this long hair,
- 27:34without the amount of
- 27:36product I have to make it
- 27:37even lay down at all,
- 27:40usually I look like Dr. Emmett Brown.
- 27:42It's about yay high going all,
- 27:47all like everywhere.
- 27:51One point twenty one gigawatts.
- 27:58Oh, Corey, Corey, Corey.
- 28:02Corey is still on his rant.
- 28:04Scott has his riffs.
- 28:05That's me.
- 28:07And Corey has his rants that
- 28:08he is continuing on.
- 28:10No real surprises, I think,
- 28:11other than the rampant BS
- 28:12scores in the old folks division.
- 28:17Yeah.
- 28:18We are going to have BS
- 28:19scores when there's not a
- 28:21lot of video review in the open.
- 28:25Just the way it's going to be.
- 28:27You're going to have to
- 28:28figure out a way to get
- 28:28around it and then make it
- 28:29to semis where the truth will be told,
- 28:33hopefully.
- 28:35And I know that sucks.
- 28:36I wish it was better,
- 28:38but that's just where we are.
- 28:40It's just where we are.
- 28:44What's up, Jake?
- 28:50I'm just biding my time until semis.
- 28:52Good.
- 28:53Good.
- 28:54You will make semis, and then from there,
- 28:57put the gas pedal down,
- 28:58show them who's who.
- 29:00And just know that these BS scores,
- 29:02you're going to obliterate in semis.
- 29:09Obliterate.
- 29:17Any other questions for me before we,
- 29:19we head off Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake,
- 29:26I bide my time with a semi.
- 29:29Come on, dude.
- 29:37I'm old.
- 29:38That takes medication for me.
- 29:42Um, yeah.
- 29:46Yeah.
- 29:48Trying to plan out the season this year,
- 29:50trying to figure out what
- 29:50we're going to do.
- 29:51I have a plan.
- 29:53Find out tomorrow when my
- 29:54wife's second knee surgery is.
- 29:57I've just got to work stuff around that.
- 30:01I want to do things a little
- 30:06bit differently this year.
- 30:08We're still going to do live
- 30:10shows the weekends of the big events.
- 30:12We're still going to try to
- 30:14catch everybody up on everything.
- 30:18But I think we're going to
- 30:19try to follow a storyline
- 30:22for part of the season
- 30:23instead of multiple
- 30:25storylines and see how that goes.
- 30:31I just can't afford to get
- 30:32to everything everywhere
- 30:34now that there's five
- 30:35billion in-person semis or ten,
- 30:38whichever is less.
- 30:41And then you have the WFP events,
- 30:42which I want to see how it goes.
- 30:45I want to see what it looks like.
- 30:47And Indianapolis is only two
- 30:48and a half hours away.
- 30:49So I want to be able to
- 30:51drive over there and do
- 30:52that and get some media
- 30:53credentials for that.
- 30:55But I want to get like a single...
- 31:00single storyline that I can
- 31:01kind of follow through all
- 31:03of it and I think I have it
- 31:07now I just have to get with
- 31:09the person see if they'll
- 31:11let me do it and that I
- 31:14have the time with my wife surgery
- 31:20five billion plus ten it's
- 31:22actually five billion or
- 31:23ten whichever is less
- 31:26that's really how many
- 31:27in-person semis there are
- 31:29um but it's one of those
- 31:30things but I'm excited for
- 31:35the season to start I'm
- 31:37excited uh that some of my
- 31:39favorite people have
- 31:40decided to sign up for the open um
- 31:45to do it and to post scores
- 31:47and maybe we can start some
- 31:50conversations with them as
- 31:52to what's going on with
- 31:53them this season um really
- 31:55excited about all that and
- 32:00with that guys if there's
- 32:01no further questions for me
- 32:06it feels like five billion plus ten
- 32:08It does.
- 32:09It does right now.
- 32:11And I really don't like this
- 32:13season structure.
- 32:14I wish they would do one or the other,
- 32:16not both.
- 32:18But that's where we are.
- 32:19That's what we have.
- 32:22And I do like that the CAC...
- 32:24did put in the
- 32:26recommendation that we need
- 32:27to get more consistent
- 32:28season structure um and
- 32:32pick something and stick
- 32:33with it for a few years I
- 32:35agree with that I hope the
- 32:37crossfit hears that and
- 32:38does that because honestly
- 32:42the wfp structure makes way more sense
- 32:49So we'll see how that goes.
- 32:52I do like the fact that the
- 33:03CrossFit has the connection
- 33:04to the community in the
- 33:05open and all of that stuff.
- 33:07And I think that's going to
- 33:08be tough to beat.
- 33:10But I do like the WFP structure.
- 33:23So with that, I'm trying to figure out.
- 33:28Yeah.
- 33:32Okay.
- 33:32Um, yeah.
- 33:37Cool.
- 33:39Well, with that, guys,
- 33:40I've got a one o'clock meeting,
- 33:42so I am going to head up for that.
- 33:46Holly says that's pretty logical.
- 33:49Yeah,
- 33:49and logic has never been a strong suit,
- 33:52but we'll see.
- 33:52There's been some change this year.
- 33:54Let's see if that keeps continuing.
- 34:00Corey, you know she is.
- 34:03She's killing it.
- 34:08Um, with that guys,
- 34:11it is time to get back to work.
- 34:12You hooligans till next time tomorrow.
- 34:16We'll see you tomorrow on
- 34:18lunch with the Clydesdale.
- 34:19Bye.
