- 0:27Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:33Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, along with
- 0:37Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Jerry Caldwell. Today is Tuesday, January seven,
- 0:45Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Let's get stupid. We are without Raj
- 0:55Speaker 1: Sharma today. But that's okay because that means we get
- 1:00Speaker 1: a healthy dose of Jerry. And the reason we don't
- 1:06Speaker 1: have Raj today is the reason why so many people
- 1:09Speaker 1: are having a tough time coming back to work after
- 1:12Speaker 1: a long holiday break, and that is flu season. Our
- 1:17Speaker 1: dear Raj says he has the flu, and I.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Don't envy him.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Flu season isn't full effect. I don't have it, thank goodness.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever had it. But so in
- 1:33Speaker 1: addition to Raj having the flu, my wife Tara has
- 1:37Speaker 1: a sinus infection that she's been messing with for the
- 1:39Speaker 1: last couple of days. And as I was doing a
- 1:43Speaker 1: little research on this, it's now just flat out six season,
- 1:48Speaker 1: is what the experts are saying.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I don't know what Raj has, but I will say this,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I don't know what variant of the flu is going
- 1:59Speaker 3: around this year. I got the flu last year got
- 2:02Speaker 3: it on New Year's Eve, and it was so bad
- 2:04Speaker 3: that I actually got a flu shot this year because
- 2:06Speaker 3: I didn't want to go through it again because it
- 2:10Speaker 3: only lasted like thirty six hours of feeling like death
- 2:16Speaker 3: with one hundred and three point three fever. But it
- 2:20Speaker 3: took me a solid week to even feel human again.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I mean, it just wiped me out.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Did you usually or not usually get a flu shot?
- 2:33Speaker 3: I had not gotten a flu shot since before COVID.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Wow, I don't know a if I've ever had the flu.
- 2:50Speaker 1: B I don't recall ever receiving a flu shot. Maybe
- 2:55Speaker 1: I did when I was a kid, I don't. I don't.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I don't remember that. But I know as an adult,
- 2:59Speaker 1: I've never had a flu shot and I've never had
- 3:01Speaker 1: the flu. And I'm not saying I'm impervious to the flu.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I'm not saying I'm some.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Sort of.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Elevated mortal with a killer immune system because I've had COVID,
- 3:17Speaker 1: but I've never had the flu. As far as I know,
- 3:19Speaker 1: I never had a flu shot, and I feel very blessed.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Last year my wife had the flu. I didn't catch
- 3:26Speaker 1: it right Now my wife has a sinus infection. I
- 3:30Speaker 1: have not caught it. It's much easier to catch the
- 3:35Speaker 1: flu than a sinus infection.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I used to.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Get sinus infections every year. Now it's kind of like
- 3:43Speaker 1: maybe every other year kind of a deal.
- 3:45Speaker 2: But I feel very lucky.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I'm usually good for at least one a year sinus infection, amazingly,
- 3:52Speaker 3: And I knock on wood, I still have never had COVID.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You know what that makes you?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Tray, that makes you a COVID princess, congratulated with Tiara.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna get you a Tiara.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna get you some shoes, get you a little wane.
- 4:13Speaker 1: That makes you a COVID princess. Congratulations, thank you. Yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 1: that's feel from Disney.
- 4:20Speaker 3: And it's fairly it's fairly amazing. Since I have been
- 4:24Speaker 3: working in bars the whole time.
- 4:28Speaker 1: That's where I wonder if being surrounded by alcohol helps
- 4:31Speaker 1: kill some of those germs that you should be getting otherwise.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I'm not a I'm not a scientific person. I just
- 4:40Speaker 4: make sure to maintain a certain level of alcohol in
- 4:42Speaker 4: my system. I think is what works for me.
- 4:44Speaker 2: That's what I used to do.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But since I'm not drinking this month, I'm doing the
- 4:47Speaker 1: dry January.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'm at high risk.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Maybe there's some residual though hanging around that's protecting me,
- 4:54Speaker 1: like ao alcohol fueled bubble. But uh yeah, flu season
- 4:58Speaker 1: is in full effect, Raja, the flu. My wife has
- 5:01Speaker 1: a sinus infection. Me I'm totally fine. And according to
- 5:06Speaker 1: a story that I read, the holidays came with the
- 5:07Speaker 1: side of flu for a lot of US forty states
- 5:11Speaker 1: reported high or very high levels of illness last week.
- 5:15Speaker 1: That's according to the latest government health data. And according
- 5:18Speaker 1: to the Centers for Disease Control, they said, and I
- 5:21Speaker 1: quote a lot of flu out there. That was said
- 5:27Speaker 1: by Carrie Reid, representative from the CDC.
- 5:30Speaker 2: A lot of flu out there. Thank you for that
- 5:35Speaker 2: very informative tidbit.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, And you know what, that's what cut through all
- 5:41Speaker 1: the noise of all the news, of all the news
- 5:44Speaker 1: and the flu research I was doing. Just seeing that
- 5:46Speaker 1: one quote from the CDC that said a lot of
- 5:48Speaker 1: flu out there.
- 5:49Speaker 2: That's all I needed.
- 5:50Speaker 1: That was perfect, a perfect little bike sized nugget that
- 5:52Speaker 1: I could take with me and share with you, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: I know to be careful because there's a lot of
- 5:56Speaker 1: flu out there. So there you are, and I'm still
- 6:01Speaker 1: stunned by the fact that, like I said, to the
- 6:03Speaker 1: best of my knowledge, I have never had the flu,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and I don't know how that is even possible.
- 6:10Speaker 5: You're lucky. It's it's miserable when you get it.
- 6:14Speaker 2: It is.
- 6:15Speaker 4: It's terrible. I've had it at least three times, and
- 6:19Speaker 4: the only time I ever truly thought I was gonna
- 6:22Speaker 4: die from something like that was it was the flu.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Wow. And that's what's so bad.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm actually I'm a little terrified of it because since
- 6:30Speaker 1: I've never had it, I'm worried that at some point
- 6:34Speaker 1: my luck will run out and I'll get it. And
- 6:38Speaker 1: I'm afraid, since I've never had it in forty five years,
- 6:40Speaker 1: that the version of the flu I'll get will be
- 6:43Speaker 1: the version that might actually kill me.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah, like the kangaroo flu or alligator some weird exotic
- 6:52Speaker 4: animal flu.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, if I.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Start hopping around all of a sudden inside the treehouse,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you'll know that my days are numbered.
- 6:58Speaker 2: The pangolin flu, the what.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Oh, the the pengulin that's that's that animal that kind
- 7:08Speaker 4: of looks like an armadillo had sex with a art
- 7:11Speaker 4: of choke.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Trade. Do you know what a penguin is not?
- 7:16Speaker 5: A clue.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I've never heard of this, Jerry. How dare you teach
- 7:19Speaker 1: us something inside the treehouse? Now?
- 7:21Speaker 2: I got a google stuff.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Is it?
- 7:23Speaker 2: How do you spell it? P A n G A
- 7:26Speaker 2: uh o l I n oh.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Oh oh, there it is Pengoulin's animal.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Uh oh.
- 7:34Speaker 5: It's kind of cute.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You're right, it does. It looks it looks a lot.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It looks like a lot like an armadillo, just without
- 7:40Speaker 1: the shell.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Right, and instead of like porcupine spines, it's got those
- 7:45Speaker 4: little triangular little art of choke looking.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Is this a real animal or is this just literally
- 7:53Speaker 1: an armadillo flashing me Jerry, No, that's a real animal, Okay,
- 7:57Speaker 1: just making sure.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Because it was voted one of the cutest animals in
- 7:59Speaker 4: the world by National Geographic I think, okay, well, you
- 8:02Speaker 4: know what, if.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I have to get a specific type of animal flu,
- 8:06Speaker 1: give me the pangolin flu.
- 8:07Speaker 2: That looks cute.
- 8:09Speaker 5: I always thought that was just a.
- 8:10Speaker 3: A different kind of armadillo.
- 8:14Speaker 1: So well, we've learned something new today, Trey, and it
- 8:20Speaker 1: was totally unexpected.
- 8:21Speaker 5: It always is with Jerry.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're welcome.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Jerry's our own version of a box of chocolates.
- 8:36Speaker 6: Freehouse listeness online at freehouse on air dot com.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Do you want to pinch me and find out what
- 8:42Speaker 2: kind of gooum filled with?
- 8:44Speaker 7: Oh?
- 8:46Speaker 2: Ruined it?
- 8:49Speaker 1: Eight three three Cook DFW. That's the phone number to
- 8:51Speaker 1: reach Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. The website cookdfw dot com.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook into the treehouse now. Now we
- 8:58Speaker 1: talk a lot about the roof side of your business.
- 9:01Speaker 1: That's probably the bulk of it, but you guys also
- 9:03Speaker 1: do a lot of interior work. You do a lot
- 9:05Speaker 1: of remodeling, and you don't just do it for your clients,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you do it for yourself as well. Because you were
- 9:10Speaker 1: just telling me that you and Carrie got you a
- 9:12Speaker 1: new badass kitchen, right, Dan.
- 9:14Speaker 8: It's been pretty crazy.
- 9:15Speaker 9: We're doing a lot of work both in our house
- 9:18Speaker 9: and of course for our clients, and so juggling all
- 9:21Speaker 9: of those projects has been stressful. So we started with
- 9:24Speaker 9: a full master bathroom remodel. I went ahead and did
- 9:27Speaker 9: a custom walk in shower that's nine feet long and
- 9:31Speaker 9: four feet wide. Holy all marble tile and tile everywhere
- 9:38Speaker 9: and it looks really great. And cabinets, and then we
- 9:41Speaker 9: decided to come out and do all new flooring all
- 9:44Speaker 9: the way through the hole downstairs and then.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Upstairs replace all the carpet. We did a whole bunch
- 9:48Speaker 8: of all new baseboard upgrades and trim, and then I said,
- 9:51Speaker 8: you know what, We're already got all this done. I
- 9:54Speaker 8: guess let's do the kitchen too. So we ripped out
- 9:56Speaker 8: the entire kitchen down to the studs and redid new cabinets,
- 10:00Speaker 8: new countertops, put new courts, farm sinc in new undercounting lighting,
- 10:05Speaker 8: new lighting, and the halos and the top. So, yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 8: it's been a pretty aggressive freemodel here at the cook Household.
- 10:11Speaker 1: And they can do the same for you. So that
- 10:13Speaker 1: goes to show you sort of like the old Men's
- 10:15Speaker 1: Warehouse spokesperson where he would say he's not only the president,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but he's also a client.
- 10:19Speaker 2: That's Daniel.
- 10:20Speaker 1: He's gonna take that same level of expertise and quality
- 10:23Speaker 1: craftsmanship that he puts into his home and he's going
- 10:26Speaker 1: to put it into yours. Eight three to three cook
- 10:28Speaker 1: DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.
- 10:37Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse
- 10:41Speaker 7: on Air dot com.
- 10:44Speaker 1: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 10:46Speaker 1: cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. To get your free roof
- 10:49Speaker 1: inspection called eight three three cook DFW. That's eight three
- 10:53Speaker 1: three Cook DFW, or go to their website cook dfw
- 10:57Speaker 1: dot com. That's cook DFW. Back inside the Treehouse now,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm and Jerry called
- 11:05Speaker 1: Well today. We were just talking about how flu season
- 11:09Speaker 1: is in full effect. Raj has the flu, my wife
- 11:12Speaker 1: has a sinus infection and if you're having sinus issues
- 11:19Speaker 1: you're clogged up. There is one way guaranteed to clear
- 11:25Speaker 1: your sinuses, cocaine. It's not an over the counter type
- 11:32Speaker 1: of situation, but from what I've heard, turn your sinuses
- 11:36Speaker 1: into a super highway.
- 11:39Speaker 2: But it's not.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You know, Cocaine's not always a good thing, especially when
- 11:44Speaker 1: you put it on a ill placed Christmas sweater. Walmart
- 11:48Speaker 1: is apologizing for it. Let it snow sweater that depicts
- 11:51Speaker 1: Santa Claus with lines of cocaine. This is the time
- 11:57Speaker 1: of year I'd love catching up on news to stories
- 12:00Speaker 1: that came out over the holiday break, and this one's
- 12:03Speaker 1: a doozy. Walmart Canada issued an apology after a Christmas
- 12:09Speaker 1: sweater featuring Santa Claus behind a table with what appeared
- 12:12Speaker 1: to be three lines of cocaine was made available on
- 12:15Speaker 1: its website. The sweater, sold by a third party vendor,
- 12:18Speaker 1: displayed the phrase let it snow beneath the image. Walmart,
- 12:24Speaker 1: of course, responded to backlash by removing the product and
- 12:26Speaker 1: stating quote, these sweaters do not represent Walmart's values and
- 12:30Speaker 1: have no place on our website. We apologize for any
- 12:34Speaker 1: unintended offense. The retailer clarified that the sweater was only
- 12:39Speaker 1: listed on its Canadian website and not on Walmart dot
- 12:42Speaker 1: Com in the United States. But this incident does highlight
- 12:46Speaker 1: the ongoing challenges with third party sellers on e commerce platforms.
- 12:51Speaker 1: This is not the first time Walmart has had to
- 12:53Speaker 1: apologize for something on its website. Amazon has had to
- 12:56Speaker 1: apologize for things like this as well. But this kind
- 12:59Speaker 1: of stuf happened. Someone's looking for something and they find
- 13:03Speaker 1: something from a third party vendor that offends them, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: now it becomes a huge deal in Walmart or Amazon
- 13:09Speaker 1: or whatever else. Dot com has to apologize because I
- 13:11Speaker 1: don't know, there was you know, some third party fun
- 13:16Speaker 1: things snuck in on the website. But you know a
- 13:19Speaker 1: Christmas sweater that says, let it snow with three lines
- 13:21Speaker 1: of cocaine in front of Santa.
- 13:23Speaker 2: If anything, that's just good marketing.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I want to buy it now.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Yeah, had it been available in the US, it probably
- 13:29Speaker 3: would have, you know, sold like hotcakes.
- 13:31Speaker 1: It has sold out.
- 13:32Speaker 3: But it's one of those things it makes you wonder.
- 13:34Speaker 3: It's like, did someone know It's like, I don't know
- 13:40Speaker 3: if you'll saw this.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 13:41Speaker 3: About a month month and a half ago, Madonna's like
- 13:47Speaker 3: a prayer started, you know, being sung in churches, and.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Did anybody tell them, Well, clearly not before they put
- 14:03Speaker 1: it out there, and then obviously then people told him.
- 14:06Speaker 5: It's like, yeah, someone had to know what that song
- 14:09Speaker 5: was really about.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Do us a favorite tray? Enlighten us?
- 14:13Speaker 1: What is Madonna's like her prayer really about.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I believe it's about a flatio.
- 14:21Speaker 2: That is correct. That was always my understanding of it.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I didn't even have to google it.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I was like, no, I'm pretty sure Madonna's not singing
- 14:32Speaker 1: to Jesus right about. Whoever she's on her knees in
- 14:36Speaker 1: front of is probably thanking him. But it's one of
- 14:42Speaker 1: the weird things that I have to come to grips
- 14:44Speaker 1: with no pundenty because like Her Prayer is one of
- 14:48Speaker 1: my wife's favorite songs, and it's catchy, it's yeah, it's great,
- 14:53Speaker 1: good songs. And then it's resurgence thanks to the Deadpool
- 14:59Speaker 1: and Woolfveren movie has me conflicted even more about my
- 15:04Speaker 1: appreciation for the song because here's a song about Fallatio
- 15:09Speaker 1: between Deadpool and Wolverine as they walk out to take
- 15:12Speaker 1: you know, to take.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's just a.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Whole mix of emotions, honestly, and and you know that
- 15:19Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds knows that that's the the source of the song, right.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Is he intending it to be in there in the
- 15:27Speaker 1: movie as well, or is he just really going surface
- 15:30Speaker 1: just I don't know.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I mean I saw the other uh you know, pegging
- 15:36Speaker 3: and other in the windows in the movie. I'm gonna
- 15:38Speaker 3: go he you know, there was a deeper meaning to it.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, yeah, like like how deep deep.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Gagging?
- 15:52Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I feel like I remember, I still remember.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I still remember something being said when I was a kid,
- 16:11Speaker 1: when like Her Prayer first came out, and I like
- 16:16Speaker 1: like like a conversation with my sister and either she
- 16:19Speaker 1: was talking to my parents or friend or something, and
- 16:21Speaker 1: I remember hearing them discuss it, and that was the
- 16:24Speaker 1: first hint that I had that the song was more
- 16:29Speaker 1: than just the words. Well, you met behind it.
- 16:34Speaker 3: If you remember, the video caused a controversy because she
- 16:38Speaker 3: kissed a black eye.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 1: The controversy wasn't as much of the song being about fallatio,
- 16:43Speaker 1: but the fact that she was allegedly doing it on
- 16:45Speaker 1: a black dude.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Ah the eighties.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And in a church obviously, yes, right, groundbreaking stuff.
- 17:00Speaker 3: You like a virgin came out and she did the
- 17:03Speaker 3: performance on MTV and it had everyone in an uproar.
- 17:08Speaker 5: And you look back at that, back at that now,
- 17:11Speaker 5: it's like, eah, really, it's like.
- 17:14Speaker 1: It's pretty amazing when you think about it, though, because
- 17:17Speaker 1: there she is in front of this huge audience of
- 17:19Speaker 1: people singing a song about flatio and what's their reaction?
- 17:23Speaker 2: All their mouths are wide open? What is it? Jerry?
- 17:31Speaker 2: I don't even remember.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Now, that's what happens. When that happens, you just forget
- 17:38Speaker 1: all sorts of stuff. But you're really happy.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Madonna. I was gonna slutty before slutty was cool, That's right.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Real drill Blazer.
- 17:54Speaker 6: You're in the Visit us online Freehouseonair dot com.
- 18:02Speaker 1: If only she had a follow up song called Knees
- 18:04Speaker 1: on Fire.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You're in the Treehouse.
- 18:19Speaker 6: Listen us online at Treehouseonair dot com.

- 18:39Speaker 1: and threads and whatever else might be out there. I

- 18:44Speaker 1: That's at Treehouse on Air across all social media platforms.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So the Golden Globes for Sunday Night. And I don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: usually like talking about award shows because I don't watch
- 18:55Speaker 1: them anymore. Not for anything political. It's just because I
- 18:58Speaker 1: just kind of just don't really follow as much stuff
- 19:00Speaker 1: as I used to when I was younger, so I
- 19:02Speaker 1: feel lost most of the time. It's like when the
- 19:06Speaker 1: Academy Awards come out, like the nominations, when't has you know,
- 19:10Speaker 1: like Best Picture. I at least know most, if not all,
- 19:15Speaker 1: of the movies. I may have only seen a couple
- 19:17Speaker 1: of them, but I'm aware of all of them, and
- 19:20Speaker 1: I don't typically really follow much about the Golden Globes,
- 19:24Speaker 1: but I will admit that this past Golden Globes I
- 19:26Speaker 1: was a little intrigued by because this, I think was
- 19:29Speaker 1: the first time when I was going through looking at
- 19:32Speaker 1: a bunch of the winners from the Golden Globes that
- 19:35Speaker 1: there's like a couple of big winners that I had
- 19:39Speaker 1: never even heard of. And I mean, I didn't know
- 19:43Speaker 1: if it was a movie or a TV show. The
- 19:45Speaker 1: only thing that told me that was the fact that
- 19:47Speaker 1: it was in the category. So I was actually surprised.
- 19:53Speaker 2: By that.
- 19:54Speaker 1: One of the big winners that I'm talking about that
- 19:56Speaker 1: I hadn't even heard of before from the Golden Globes,
- 19:58Speaker 1: which was a Sunday night, was the Brutalist that sounds
- 20:05Speaker 1: familiar to either of you guys.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I've never heard of it.
- 20:08Speaker 3: No, I'm it's funny because I actually watched a little
- 20:11Speaker 3: bit of the Golden Globes. It's the first time I
- 20:13Speaker 3: had watched any award show in ages, and yeah, that
- 20:16Speaker 3: was one of the shows I had never heard of.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And that's just it.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You're even calling it a show you don't know if
- 20:22Speaker 1: it's a movie or a TV show. You're right, it's
- 20:25Speaker 1: according to the Golden Globe nominations and winners, it was
- 20:29Speaker 1: a movie, okay, and it won for Best Drama, The
- 20:33Speaker 1: Brutalist one for Best Drama at the Golden Globes. Movie
- 20:39Speaker 1: and it stars Adrian Brody. I know who he is,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but he won for Best Actor in a Drama for
- 20:48Speaker 1: The Brutalist. Again, I never even heard of this movie.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Not only have I never heard of it, I don't
- 20:53Speaker 1: even know where it's available. I don't know what platform
- 20:56Speaker 1: it's on. Also, Best Musical or Comedy Amelia Perez. That's
- 21:01Speaker 1: not a person, that's a movie. I hadn't heard of
- 21:04Speaker 1: that either. Granted it's a musical, so it's it's not
- 21:08Speaker 1: exactly the top of my list of preferred viewing things.
- 21:11Speaker 1: But again, yeah, I.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Was shocked on that one because again, an A, I'm
- 21:16Speaker 3: with you, I'd never heard of it, but b I
- 21:18Speaker 3: figured it would just clean up on anything musical.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Yeah, wicked, I was at least familiar with I've heard
- 21:24Speaker 1: of it. That one for cinematic and box office Achievement.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I don't know what that means.
- 21:31Speaker 5: So they have they have now basically.
- 21:35Speaker 3: They have a separate award for because I watched this
- 21:39Speaker 3: part of it and it was, uh.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Colin.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Ferrell. Yeah, okay, whoever's in the one? H Colin Farrel.
- 21:52Speaker 3: So he was explaining it that they now have an
- 21:54Speaker 3: award specifically for the block butter movie, the big so
- 22:00Speaker 3: there's like a separate category. See, the big movies aren't
- 22:03Speaker 3: competing with the indie films.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So it's basically the good job Award or you made
- 22:11Speaker 1: them you made a lot of money at the box
- 22:13Speaker 1: office award, good job something like that, all right, Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: because you would expect Wicked would win for Best Musical
- 22:22Speaker 1: and it didn't. Instead it was a movie called Amelia Perez,
- 22:26Speaker 1: which I was also surprised that one Zoe Zoe Saldana
- 22:31Speaker 1: a Best Supporting Actor in that movie. And I think
- 22:35Speaker 1: it's in Spanish. I didn't know she spoke Spanish. So
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm learning all sorts of things from the Golden Globes
- 22:42Speaker 1: some other ones I hadn't even heard of. Sebastian stand
- 22:45Speaker 1: that we all know as the Winter Soldier from the
- 22:47Speaker 1: Marvel movies. He won for Best Male Actor in a
- 22:50Speaker 1: Musical or Comedy for something called A Different Man.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Karen Culkin one of the Culkin Kids won. He won
- 23:00Speaker 1: Best Supporting Actor for something called A Real Pain. Have
- 23:05Speaker 1: not heard of that? Best Animated Movie Flow, never heard
- 23:08Speaker 1: of that. Since the theme here, I'm feeling completely lost.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Demi Moore won Best Supporting Actress for something I had
- 23:17Speaker 3: never heard of. I figured she was nominated. Well, I
- 23:21Speaker 3: actually didn't because she's not in Landman enough.
- 23:23Speaker 1: But she was in the substance that's yeah. She won
- 23:27Speaker 1: Best Female Actor Musical Comedy. Demi Moore in the substance
- 23:30Speaker 1: That one I'd at least heard of, right, I've heard
- 23:33Speaker 1: of that. Yeah, But then and you mentioned Demi Moore Trey.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I saw a quote from her. She said, I've been
- 23:43Speaker 1: in this business over forty five years, and it's the
- 23:46Speaker 1: first time I've ever been awarded an acting award.
- 23:50Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Forty five years in the industry, had never received an award.
- 23:54Speaker 2: That's wow.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Yeah, hopefully she doesn't take that too personally. The other
- 23:59Speaker 1: thing did I take issue with? And I've brought this
- 24:01Speaker 1: up before. I'm not sure if you remember. I just
- 24:02Speaker 1: want to mention this real quick. In the Golden Globes
- 24:05Speaker 1: for Television, they gave for Best Actor in a Musical
- 24:11Speaker 1: or comedy. The actor one Jeremy Allen White from The
- 24:16Speaker 1: Bear on FX slash Hulu. I've seen all the episodes
- 24:22Speaker 1: of The Bear. I kind of enjoy it, and it
- 24:25Speaker 1: is in no way funny. It's not a musical. I
- 24:28Speaker 1: don't understand how that show keeps winning in that category.
- 24:30Speaker 2: It makes no sense.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I that one puzzles me too, because to me,
- 24:36Speaker 3: that is anxiety inducing drama watching that show.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So, yeah, they use the.
- 24:41Speaker 1: F word more on that show than they ever did
- 24:44Speaker 1: in The Sopranos. And this one's considered a comedy. And
- 24:53Speaker 1: you're right right, it's like working in the service industry
- 24:56Speaker 1: like you do in your in your other time when
- 24:58Speaker 1: you're not inside the treehouse. That that that show is
- 25:03Speaker 1: pure anxiety. Oh yeah, it's all about the restaurant business
- 25:07Speaker 1: and all about the F words.
- 25:12Speaker 8: Overall.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Since you said you actually watched some of the Golden Globes,
- 25:14Speaker 1: was it good? Did I miss anything other than being
- 25:17Speaker 1: told about new shows and movies I never heard of.
- 25:20Speaker 5: You know, I'm not a huge nicky Glazer fan, but
- 25:26Speaker 5: she did fine.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Yes, everyone, it was nice because for the most part,
- 25:35Speaker 3: there there were no soapbox political speeches or anything else.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It was everyone kept their political guns and their holsters.
- 25:43Speaker 5: Yeah so uh.
- 25:45Speaker 3: No, I mean again, my problem is the same as yours, Like,
- 25:49Speaker 3: there are very few of the shows they mentioned that
- 25:52Speaker 3: I had heard of or seen. I Conclave was about
- 25:56Speaker 3: the only movie that that I had seen that was
- 26:01Speaker 3: in the mix.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't see anything unless I missed it. I
- 26:06Speaker 1: didn't see any awards for Deadpool and Wolverine, and that's
- 26:11Speaker 1: that to me, just takes any credibility away from the
- 26:14Speaker 1: Golden Globes. Although Colin Ferrell did win for the Penguin.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I've heard that's really good, and the ads online keep
- 26:20Speaker 1: telling me it's really good. If anything else, I guess
- 26:25Speaker 1: it just kind of boils down to h using some
- 26:28Speaker 1: of the award shows as a discovery to find out
- 26:30Speaker 1: what else is out there that I have not heard
- 26:32Speaker 1: of and that I'm supposed to like. Well, now you've
- 26:36Speaker 1: got a long list, long and distinguished. I'm sorry, I hate.
- 26:46Speaker 6: You're in Thereuse visit us online. I'm Treehouse on Air

- 27:28Speaker 1: click on donate. That's Treehouse on Air dot com and
- 27:33Speaker 1: click on donate. Thank you very much. I'm Dan, along
- 27:35Speaker 1: with Trey and Jerry called well inside the Treehouse today. Uh, Trey,
- 27:40Speaker 1: yesterday we had talked about I think you had mentioned
- 27:42Speaker 1: how difficult you find it or how is it that people.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna start over the story we read. Yesterday's according
- 27:52Speaker 1: to researchers, said that if you poop before exercise, you
- 27:59Speaker 1: will have improved athletic performance. And in our discussion in there,
- 28:04Speaker 1: you had mentioned something about how people can do a
- 28:07Speaker 1: fast number two, and I was with you, I don't
- 28:11Speaker 1: understand that. I can't rep my brain around that. I
- 28:13Speaker 1: don't that's just it's foreign to me. And because we
- 28:18Speaker 1: talked about it, I guess my phone was listening, and
- 28:20Speaker 1: that's when my phone served me up a suggested news
- 28:24Speaker 1: story that it felt that I needed to know about.
- 28:27Speaker 1: So I'm now going to share it with you. Doctors
- 28:31Speaker 1: say people should not be on the toilet for more
- 28:34Speaker 1: than ten minutes. Doctors warned that spending excessive time on
- 28:40Speaker 1: the toilet often due to phone use can harm your health.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Experts recommend limiting bathroom trips to five to ten minutes
- 28:49Speaker 1: to prevent issues like hemorrhoids, we can pelvic muscles and
- 28:52Speaker 1: rectal prolapse. Hmmm, whoa yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 8: So.
- 28:59Speaker 1: You know how the news media, which is technically US,
- 29:02Speaker 1: gets accused of scare tactics to get clicks and views
- 29:08Speaker 1: and to sell more ads. Leave today's Treehouse Show with
- 29:13Speaker 1: this not a warning from US, but a warning from
- 29:16Speaker 1: medical experts that says, if you spend longer than ten
- 29:19Speaker 1: minutes on the toilet, your guts are going to fall
- 29:22Speaker 1: out of your butthole. So keep that in mind the
- 29:31Speaker 1: next time you're candy crushing it on the toilet, I
- 29:35Speaker 1: should have said candy crushing it on the commode, or
- 29:38Speaker 1: if you're angry birding while you go bobo, whatever the
- 29:42Speaker 1: case is, if you're on the toilet longer than ten minutes,
- 29:44Speaker 1: you're putting your intestines in danger.
- 29:49Speaker 2: So you're welcome.
- 29:51Speaker 4: I have noticed that my legs go to sleep for
- 29:53Speaker 4: quicker now as I get older.
- 29:55Speaker 2: You know what you need?
- 29:56Speaker 1: You need one of those cushioned toilet seats that'll help that.
- 30:00Speaker 2: You need a bad.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Man if I was on the toilet regularly for less
- 30:07Speaker 4: than ten minutes, then probably wouldn't have that issues. It's
- 30:10Speaker 4: probably it's probably good for everybody if you're not worried
- 30:14Speaker 4: about prolapsing your anus.
- 30:17Speaker 2: They pushed so hard. That's what I don't understand. Because Trey,
- 30:20Speaker 2: you brought this up.
- 30:21Speaker 1: You said you couldn't understand how it is people can
- 30:23Speaker 1: fast pooh, and I don't either. I think it's better
- 30:26Speaker 1: to just kind of let things happen naturally. I don't
- 30:28Speaker 1: think you're supposed to. I had to talk with my
- 30:31Speaker 1: dad as a kid, right like the birds and the
- 30:35Speaker 1: bees talk, but he never told me about the number
- 30:38Speaker 1: two talk about you know, to push or not to push.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I just kind of came to it on my own
- 30:44Speaker 1: where I don't think it feels smart or good to
- 30:47Speaker 1: force the issue.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Where do you guys fall on that.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I do not force the issue. I've never had a
- 30:58Speaker 4: problem when they urge hits me, it's it's time.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So yeah, I got I've seen it before. I think
- 31:07Speaker 1: in like in a movie or a television show, someone says,
- 31:10Speaker 1: all right, I'll bear it back.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I gotta go, uh, you know, go to the bathroom.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But the way they say it, they're implying that they
- 31:16Speaker 1: have to go make it happen, and I don't.
- 31:19Speaker 2: That doesn't seem good for you, mm hmm.
- 31:24Speaker 1: And I'm assuming tray that in order to speed pooh
- 31:28Speaker 1: you have to force the issue. That was a really
- 31:30Speaker 1: bad poem and I didn't mean for it to be.
- 31:34Speaker 3: I mean, sometimes it's just ready and you just you know,
- 31:37Speaker 3: you can be quick about it, like I've never won
- 31:40Speaker 3: that that spends an excessive amount of time on the toilet.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I I don't know.
- 31:44Speaker 1: But you also said that you don't understand people that
- 31:47Speaker 1: speed pooh, So I said, I don't.
- 31:48Speaker 5: Understand people who can pooh on command.
- 31:52Speaker 10: Uh.
- 31:53Speaker 3: That is weird, like because the story initially it was
- 31:56Speaker 3: like if you you know, pooh before you exercise it
- 31:59Speaker 3: in hey, this is your performance.
- 32:00Speaker 5: I'm like, well, who now?
- 32:02Speaker 3: And then it came out that they were given a
- 32:03Speaker 3: laxative to do that, which is you know, cheating, but
- 32:07Speaker 3: because no, I it's performance enhancing.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, great, laxatis are now performance enhancing drugs.
- 32:17Speaker 3: So I like, I'm envious of people that just go
- 32:21Speaker 3: every day and are regular. I just never I've never
- 32:25Speaker 3: been so lucky.
- 32:28Speaker 1: So if you if you Jerry, you're with me, right,
- 32:33Speaker 1: m hmm, okay, Trey, how is it then?
- 32:36Speaker 2: Uh?
- 32:38Speaker 1: If you if you don't do stuff when you're going
- 32:41Speaker 1: to the bathroom, what do you do? Like you just
- 32:44Speaker 1: you just sit go and then you leave. Yeah, you don't.
- 32:50Speaker 1: You don't use that as part of your productivity time.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I mean it's one of the very few times in
- 32:56Speaker 1: my day that I actually multitask. I can go to
- 32:58Speaker 1: the bathroom and you know and show prep on my phone.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I you know, sometimes I'll be looking at at you know,
- 33:06Speaker 3: Instagram or TikTok or something for a little bit. But
- 33:08Speaker 3: then once the once, once things start happening, you know,
- 33:12Speaker 3: I put the phone down and tend to business.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Really Yeah, that's amazing. That's kind of me too. You
- 33:24Speaker 2: you put the phone down.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Uh, I mean, I'm taking care of business and I'm
- 33:31Speaker 4: still on the phone. But once, you know, once you
- 33:33Speaker 4: when once you pinch it off and the deed is done,
- 33:36Speaker 4: then you put the phone down, you take care of
- 33:38Speaker 4: it and you go. You don't sit there any extra time,
- 33:42Speaker 4: you know, because you're on Because because I'm on the phone,
- 33:45Speaker 4: I don't sit there any any extra I'm only in
- 33:47Speaker 4: there long enough to get the thing done.
- 33:50Speaker 1: How often do you how often do your legs fall asleep?
- 34:00Speaker 4: That it sounds like rarely, It's it's it's less now
- 34:04Speaker 4: because I've been, you know, actively making sure that I
- 34:09Speaker 4: was in there less.
- 34:13Speaker 1: So instead of a dry january where people stop drinking,
- 34:17Speaker 1: you're trying to have a I don't have anything prepared
- 34:23Speaker 1: on this because I don't know that.
- 34:24Speaker 2: That was a thing.
- 34:25Speaker 1: A lot of people try to cut down on their drinking.
- 34:27Speaker 1: You're trying to cut down on your time sitting on
- 34:28Speaker 1: the toilet. Yes, Trey, your leg's ever fallen asleep?
- 34:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think back, like, I'm sure at some point
- 34:40Speaker 3: they have. But that's not, like I said, I'm I'm
- 34:43Speaker 3: pretty efficient with it. I'm not not there to waste
- 34:46Speaker 3: a lot of time.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You're not dilly dillying.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Well apparently this, uh, these these doctors are talking
- 34:54Speaker 1: directly to me now when they say it's not healthy
- 34:57Speaker 1: for you to spend more than ten times, when they
- 34:59Speaker 1: say it's not healthy for you to spend more than
- 35:01Speaker 1: ten minutes on the toilet, well.
- 35:03Speaker 2: That was that was me too.
- 35:04Speaker 4: My leg's falling asleep was my wake up call that
- 35:08Speaker 4: probably spending too much time in there, which is why
- 35:10Speaker 4: now I'm trying to cut back on time.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Yeah, if you know you've been spending too much time
- 35:17Speaker 1: on the toilet, is as if when you try to
- 35:19Speaker 1: stand up exactly your face plant into the wall in
- 35:23Speaker 1: front of you, then yeah, it's probably time.
- 35:25Speaker 5: To cut back.
- 35:28Speaker 1: We're also bad that you can't get up oh at all?
- 35:33Speaker 2: Dan?
- 35:33Speaker 5: How often do your legs fall asleep?
- 35:36Speaker 2: This isn't about me, tree Head.
- 35:41Speaker 1: This is about just a public service announcement that we're
- 35:44Speaker 1: doing here inside the Treehouse to tell people, Hey, it's
- 35:46Speaker 1: not good if you spend too much time sitting on
- 35:49Speaker 1: the toilet.
- 35:50Speaker 3: It was the padded seed advice, something that you know
- 35:52Speaker 3: from experience.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I have.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Very little to add on this topic.

- 37:03Speaker 1: Let's let's let's get off the toilet talk. It is Tuesday,
- 37:10Speaker 1: January seventh, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate with some birthdays
- 37:16Speaker 1: birthdays today inside the Treehouse, We're looking at so many
- 37:24Speaker 1: birthdays there is not sorry, I just found it. Blue
- 37:26Speaker 1: Ivy Carter, she is thirteen. That's Beyonce and jay Z's daughter.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Blue Ivy turns thirteen today. Marcus Scribner, who plays Andrey
- 37:35Speaker 1: Junior on Blackish twenty five. Michael Sam is thirty five today.
- 37:41Speaker 1: He was the first openly gay player in the NFL.
- 37:44Speaker 1: The Rams cut him in twenty fourteen. That was after
- 37:48Speaker 1: they drafted him like the sixth or the seventh round,
- 37:50Speaker 1: I can't remember exactly which. Then the Cowboys picked him
- 37:53Speaker 1: up for a little while and they also ended up
- 37:56Speaker 1: cutting him, and then he played in Canada for a bit.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Then he retired in twenty fifteen. So I remember he
- 38:02Speaker 1: was a defensive player of the Year in his collegiate conference.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I think out of is it Missouri, yes?
- 38:08Speaker 2: Or Iowa yeah? And then, like so many other.
- 38:14Speaker 1: NFL players, or like so many other college players who
- 38:19Speaker 1: tried to make in the NFL. It didn't work out,
- 38:22Speaker 1: but everyone remembers his name because he was the first
- 38:23Speaker 1: openly gay one. Obviously wasn't the first gay one. He
- 38:26Speaker 1: was just the first openly because when you just think
- 38:29Speaker 1: about the statistics of it, there were others, and I
- 38:34Speaker 1: think if you even came out of the closet after
- 38:37Speaker 1: that to say, yeah, I'm gay two But then it
- 38:41Speaker 1: seemed like all the rest of them shut themselves back
- 38:43Speaker 1: in good.
- 38:43Speaker 2: And tight, because I don't think.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I think I can only think of one other NFL
- 38:49Speaker 1: player that I think was open.
- 38:54Speaker 3: I couldn't think of one. I was like, that's still
- 38:59Speaker 3: and honestly, for most of sports, that's something that's still
- 39:03Speaker 3: you know, there obviously statistically have to be there players
- 39:08Speaker 3: that are gay, but you just don't. In men's sports,
- 39:12Speaker 3: that still seems to be something that's taboo.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yep uh.
- 39:17Speaker 1: There has been only one player who has publicly come
- 39:20Speaker 1: out as gay or bisexual while being an active player
- 39:23Speaker 1: in the NFL. That is Carl Nassib. Carl Nassib, that's
- 39:28Speaker 1: the one I was thinking of. I don't know how
- 39:30Speaker 1: many teams he's been with. I don't know what he's
- 39:32Speaker 1: at least with the Browns at one point and the Raiders,
- 39:36Speaker 1: so what come again? Just like like I said, they
- 39:39Speaker 1: seem to, uh, it's almost like like a groundhog stick
- 39:43Speaker 1: their head out. I'm gay and then everyone's like where.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Then they go, I'm gonna I'm gonna go back up
- 39:47Speaker 1: my hole. Now that's a bad pun. I'm sorry you yeah,
- 39:54Speaker 1: right when I said it. Jesus other birthdays. Today, we've
- 39:59Speaker 1: got Robert Sheehan is thirty seven. He plays Klaus on
- 40:05Speaker 1: The Umbrella Academy. Lindsay Vonseca is thirty eight. She was
- 40:11Speaker 1: on the Turner in Hoots TV series, Ted's Daughter on
- 40:14Speaker 1: How I Met Your Mother, also on Nikita and Peggy's
- 40:17Speaker 1: best Friend Angie on Agent Carter so Side Actor type
- 40:22Speaker 1: Brett Dalton speaking of marvel stuff, Brett Dalton is forty two.
- 40:27Speaker 1: He played Grant Ward on Marvel's Agents of Shield. Lauren
- 40:31Speaker 1: Cohen is forty three. Most famously played Maggie on The
- 40:35Speaker 1: Walking Dead. John Rich from Big and Rich is fifty one.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Jeremy Renner, also from the MCU, is fifty four today
- 40:42Speaker 1: plays Hawkeye Dougie. Doug turns fifty five today from one
- 40:49Speaker 1: of the all time Olympic film greats, cool Runnings. I'm
- 40:56Speaker 1: not ashamed to say, but I feel like that's an
- 40:58Speaker 1: underrated film.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Trey.
- 41:02Speaker 1: You're searching your brain like is it is it?
- 41:04Speaker 10: Really?
- 41:04Speaker 2: Is it not?
- 41:05Speaker 3: I mean I thought, I mean, because it was popular
- 41:08Speaker 3: at the time, got a lot of I don't know
- 41:10Speaker 3: that I would say it's underrated. I've it was a
- 41:12Speaker 3: good film. But John Candy, Oh, I always loved his stuff.
- 41:17Speaker 1: He's He's an actor that whenever I see him in
- 41:19Speaker 1: something that i've that I'll rewatch. Obviously he's not doing
- 41:22Speaker 1: anything new. I truly miss him. Like when I rewatched
- 41:24Speaker 1: Home Alone over the holiday season, I watched him in that.
- 41:28Speaker 1: It's like, God, I miss him. I would He's one
- 41:30Speaker 1: of those like there's lots of people that have left
- 41:32Speaker 1: this world too soon, sooner than you would like, and selfishly,
- 41:35Speaker 1: I really wish we still had him. Uh, there's there's
- 41:37Speaker 1: a bunch that are gone that I'm like, Eh, that's okay.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Rob Robin Williams is the one that that every time
- 41:43Speaker 3: I see something that I miss him, Like, yes.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I at least like if if if the two of
- 41:49Speaker 1: them were in front of me and I could choose
- 41:51Speaker 1: one to bring back, I would choose John Candy only
- 41:55Speaker 1: because he left so much, sooner than Robin Williams did.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I feel like Robin Williams had a more had a
- 42:03Speaker 1: larger filmography and more diverse because he lived longer. I
- 42:07Speaker 1: feel like if John Candy lived. Yeah, so yeah, they
- 42:09Speaker 1: were both in front of me. I'd want to bring
- 42:11Speaker 1: back John Candy.
- 42:13Speaker 2: What about you?
- 42:14Speaker 3: Oh, Robin Williams, I would have loved to watch him
- 42:19Speaker 3: take roles as he aged that. I think he was
- 42:24Speaker 3: just not only was he a brilliant comedian, but he
- 42:28Speaker 3: you go back and look at his his films, he was.
- 42:30Speaker 5: A great actor.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Oh, I'm with you, and I don't don't think that.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I don't take the answer I gave lightly. That's I'm
- 42:36Speaker 1: a huge fan of both. But that's why I feel more.
- 42:39Speaker 1: My heart is fuller with Robin Williams because I got
- 42:42Speaker 1: more oven than I did a John Candy.
- 42:43Speaker 4: So that's why, Jerry, what about you? I would also
- 42:46Speaker 4: have to go with Robin Williams. I agree with Trey,
- 42:50Speaker 4: you know is starting to age into those you know,
- 42:54Speaker 4: those those characters like the like Chrush used to say,
- 42:59Speaker 4: the uncle, the checkered past or the like the drug
- 43:04Speaker 4: burnout that has come back around now or like the
- 43:08Speaker 4: graand the.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Old guy, the old guy with wisdom to share and
- 43:11Speaker 1: funny stuff, right.
- 43:12Speaker 2: You know, I.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Was looking forward to that. And he is he's he's
- 43:17Speaker 4: he's great when he's when he's the bad guy, he
- 43:19Speaker 4: is scary as hell.
- 43:22Speaker 1: What was the film where he was the bad guy?
- 43:24Speaker 1: Was it a photograph or yeah?
- 43:27Speaker 2: One hour photo, one hour photo.
- 43:29Speaker 4: He wasn't really not really a bad guy in that
- 43:33Speaker 4: he was creepy as hell, but he was creepy, creepy af.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Other birthdays.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Nick Cage is sixty one, which, by the way, if
- 43:42Speaker 1: you have not seen the movie where he plays himself,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I highly recommend that one.
- 43:48Speaker 3: He was on the Golden Gloves. He introduced somebody at
- 43:50Speaker 3: the Golden Gloves and didn't look near as bad as
- 43:55Speaker 3: I thought he would.
- 43:58Speaker 1: And also just a more quick birthdays. Katie Couric formerly
- 44:03Speaker 1: at The Today Show, is sixty eight. David Caruso of
- 44:06Speaker 1: CSI Miami is sixty nine. Sam O Hung who is
- 44:11Speaker 1: Jackie chan sidekicking a number of films, He's seventy three today.
- 44:15Speaker 1: He also starred in a show called Martial Law. Leave
- 44:18Speaker 1: it up to America to completely stereotype and ruin an
- 44:21Speaker 1: Asian man's career.
- 44:24Speaker 5: If you have not seen a picture of David Caruso lately,
- 44:28Speaker 5: you should google that.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Hmm, am I gonna be able to tell the difference
- 44:33Speaker 1: between him and a melted candle.
- 44:40Speaker 5: If it was a red candle. Maybe not.
- 44:43Speaker 2: At the pumpkin spice candle.
- 44:50Speaker 6: Jordan Treehouse. Listen us online at Treehouse on Airs dot com.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Engin engine.

- 45:20Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse today just going through birthdays and today
- 45:25Speaker 1: is David Caruso's birthday from CSI Miami. He was also
- 45:31Speaker 1: one of the original detectives on NYPD Blue and Trey
- 45:36Speaker 1: you said he has not aged very well.
- 45:40Speaker 5: That would be an understatement.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Time has whooked his s all right. He is sixty
- 45:44Speaker 1: nine years old today. Jerry, you said you you saw it.
- 45:47Speaker 4: He looks every bit of it with you know, when
- 45:51Speaker 4: you're trying to age somebody in a show, that is
- 45:53Speaker 4: not the direction. I think anybody would have gone that
- 45:56Speaker 4: that is not good. All right, Let me let me
- 45:58Speaker 4: look him up real quick. I got I got to
- 46:00Speaker 4: see how bad it is David Caruso.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Uh, what do you type in currently the current photo?
- 46:08Speaker 4: All I did was type in David Caruso and you'll
- 46:10Speaker 4: see a picture of him from not too long ago.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Let me see, this is all old stuff. Let me see.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Oh holy oh oh. You ever see the memes where
- 46:27Speaker 1: it talks about how like some old men, the older
- 46:30Speaker 1: they get, they turn into old lesbians.
- 46:35Speaker 4: H huh see that, you see that right there? That's
- 46:39Speaker 4: why I pay attention to that. To the dues and
- 46:42Speaker 4: don'ts when you turn fifty, That right there.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Oh there's dues and don'ts when you turn fifty. I mean.
- 46:50Speaker 4: You hear them all the time, and it's like okay, okay, sure,
- 46:54Speaker 4: But then when you hit fifty, then you start getting
- 46:56Speaker 4: the mailers. You start getting it from the doctors. I
- 46:59Speaker 4: mean doctor, it's changed irrevocably when you turn fifty. You know,
- 47:06Speaker 4: eat this, don't eat that, don't sit on the toilet
- 47:08Speaker 4: this long, don't do this, don't do that.
- 47:12Speaker 1: So so these are all things you're now living by,
- 47:16Speaker 1: or at least trying to any of them been a challenge. Like, honestly,
- 47:25Speaker 1: I like eating right taking care of yourself shouldn't be
- 47:28Speaker 1: something that you should only do when you hit fifty.
- 47:30Speaker 4: It just sounds like good advice in general. It is
- 47:33Speaker 4: good advice in general, but it becomes so much more
- 47:38Speaker 4: important when you turn fifty that even if you've been
- 47:41Speaker 4: doing it, they're still going to be like, all right,
- 47:43Speaker 4: you really need to like pay attention to it. You know,
- 47:46Speaker 4: you're talking about getting a flu shot earlier. You know,
- 47:49Speaker 4: it's like, eh, you know, he's in his thirties, twenties, thirties, forties,
- 47:52Speaker 4: never had a flu shot. Oh you're fifty. You need
- 47:54Speaker 4: a flu shot. You need a COVID booster, you need this,
- 47:58Speaker 4: you need you know, all these different things. Pneumonia, pneumonia vaccine, Shinrick's.
- 48:06Speaker 2: There's a pneumonia vaccine. Yeah, I don't even know that.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Mm hmmm hmmm.
- 48:11Speaker 1: So today I've learned about pangolins, flu vaccines, and then
- 48:16Speaker 1: I spend too much time on the toilet.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Those those, those are all all bad things.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Was that in like a really odd AARP mailer you received?
- 48:26Speaker 4: Oh AARP is bad about the little mailers with the
- 48:30Speaker 4: list of things that you that you need to be doing.
- 48:34Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there there's something new to be afraid of.
- 48:37Speaker 4: Past fifty.
- 48:39Speaker 5: Do you have their Do you have their app?
- 48:40Speaker 2: Because?
- 48:42Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 48:42Speaker 3: If you get notifications, you get lists every day of losing,
- 48:45Speaker 3: don't oh fantastic?
- 48:48Speaker 5: Uh huh?
- 48:48Speaker 2: Do you get you get?
- 48:49Speaker 1: Do you get like an additional discount if you sign
- 48:52Speaker 1: up for the SMS text messages you get like the
- 48:56Speaker 1: double early bird specials.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Well, there's there's some you're some notifications you get where
- 49:03Speaker 3: you know, it's just like, oh, man, like you know
- 49:07Speaker 3: a sex questions for older you know people, Is it
- 49:11Speaker 3: okay to you know, have sexual desire? And one of
- 49:15Speaker 3: them was it, you know, is it okay to masturbate
- 49:16Speaker 3: in your seventies?
- 49:19Speaker 2: Yes?
- 49:19Speaker 5: Say that again. It was like, is it okay to
- 49:23Speaker 5: masturbate in your seventies?
- 49:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna get out of here now.
- 49:40Speaker 1: I got too many thoughts and visuals dancing around in
- 49:46Speaker 1: my forty five year old head that I don't want
- 49:48Speaker 1: to see.
- 49:49Speaker 2: You got five more years to worry about it. I
- 49:52Speaker 2: don't want to think about.
- 49:54Speaker 11: If the nursing home is a rocket some of the
- 50:00Speaker 11: highest cases of you know, cases of sexual or STDs
- 50:05Speaker 11: nursing homes.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm fine with that.
