  We were on the front straightaway for a special race

  at the end of the year at Quincy and we're going to the front

  fence to sign some autographs for the fans and this this

  driver had a very serious question hey Kenny and I go yeah

  and as soon as I said yeah to the driver this fan went hey

  Wallace and that driver looked at me and went that's really

  had a little Saturday Night Live to it it means I exaggerate

  people say them old modifieds I always take a person that wants

  to see my race car I always always take them to the rear of

  my race car because the rear is where an A modified is really

  just like a dirt super late model that's where all the

  geometry is they look really good the rear of the car is the

  very expensive part of an A mod. The front of the car is they

  make you run a stock clip because they want to keep the

  car dumbed down you know to make it be a lesser series but the

  fact of the matter is an A mod is a very expensive car it's

  about a $45,000.00 you know roller 30 $35,000.00 motornet

  and that's what everybody 's going to spend anybody that's

  running good that's what they're going to spend.

  So you got about 75 grand in these race cars so when you

  wreck them it's no joke and it's not fun and it's heartbreaking

  it's brutal hell last year we had a bad race at towards the

  end of the year we had a a bad race at peevling somebody broke

  in front of me we all piled in and it was devastating to me and

  the fans of the strands are heckling me and.

  I'll never forget Schrader you know and I'm like what the fuck

  off all these people I'm trying to get my car hooked up with the

  tow truck so here's where I'm going with this story wrecking

  is it it hurts like hell because you got so much money and and so

  much effort labour put in these cars so a week ago I had a dear

  friend of mine. Had a catastrophic wreck at

  Tri-City Speedway granite city Illinois and we're parked next

  to each other and I run second I had a good race but you know I

  finished second I I go through tech inspection I go back to the

  pits and right away I'm thinking you know show respect.

  Don't show my happiness for running second I I was very

  happy I run second it was a good race there was a lot of hot rods

  in it so anyway I pulled into the pits I get out and my guys

  come to my car and I said don't don't be happy we want to show

  respect to the guy that just had a catastrophic wreck next to me

  so I get out right away and I walk over and I go what can I do

  what do you need. And that driver became so

  emotional he walked away and had to gather himself up he was so I

  made him emotional because I said you know you know how's

  Kenny going to act because he's parked right next to me he had a

  good race I had a bad wreck well I've been there I've wrecked my

  ass off I've been to the jig plenty times and I know what it

  feels like it hurts the last thing I want is some son of a

  bitch coming wanting to talk to me.

  When I Rex stayed away from me don't even talk to me don't come

  when I got out of my car and I went over to that driver and I

  helped him and we got things rolling and now he's getting his

  were flying out the bottom of the motor and I ran over part of

  the blown up motor and I blew a left rear tire and I wrecked I

  hit so hard it was devastating is that you know hell out me and

  Kim were living in a single bedroom apartment I had all my

  money I had in that race car and I was working for a living at

  uncle Gary 's and my dad 's OK vacuum janitorial supply.

  We'd leave late on Friday and make our way across the border

  so anyway I'm racing up there in Canada and the great Dick

  trickle was testing me he came to me and my car 's sitting

  going down the back stretcher something broke on Michael long

  's car I turned left and who was it I forgot they stopped I

  turned left and they cleaned my right front off and when the

  right front tire come back it blew the clip off I had to drive

  that I had to strip that car down nothing nothing.

  And drive that son of a bitch down to nick Hoffman 's and with

  every step of the way reckon 's a son of a bitch guys but like
