Preston Durr Joins Sheriff Race | Alexandria Louisiana News
Preston Durr is officially running for Natchitoches Parish sheriff in 2027, fueled by a lifelong dream inspired by his late uncle, Sheriff Boyd Durr. He’s committed to being hands-on, rebuilding old traditions with a modern edge, and making himself accessible to every resident. Unlike others who may hesitate, Durr made his decision quickly — it was a no-brainer. As the first candidate to announce, he’s already getting a head start, recognizing the sheer size of the parish demands early planning.
