- 1:38people that we have today are not promised to us for tomorrow. We will

- 3:17question? The question was who was the first televised US President? The answer
- 3:27Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The first president on TV, Franklin Delano Roosevelt likely had
- 3:35no idea how powerful and important a role the medium would play in politics in
- 3:40the decades to come. When a television camera broadcast him to the world's Fair
- 3:47in New York in nineteen thirty nine. Television eventually became the most effective medium
- 3:54for presidents to communicate directly to the American people. Yes, in nineteen thirty
- 4:01nine, it was FTR. Now you know, Embracing change is like opening
- 4:17a new chapter in the book of life. Change can be scary, but
- 4:24it is also a chance for exciting adventures and discoveries. Just as seasons transform,
- 4:30we too grow through changes. It's about being flexible, like a tree
- 4:36bending in the wind and not breaking. Change brings fresh opportunities, helping us
- 4:43to learn and to become better versions of ourselves. Instead of fearing the unknown,
- 4:49we can see it as a path to something new and awesome. So
- 4:54let us welcome change with curiosity and an open heart, ready to see where
- 5:00the journey of life can take us. At forty, Franz Kafka eighteen eighty
- 5:15three to nineteen twenty four, who never married and had no children, was
- 5:21walking through a park one day in Berlin when he met a girl who was
- 5:27crying because she had lost her favorite doll. She and Kafka searched for the
- 5:32doll, unsuccessfully. Kafka told her to meet him there the next day.
- 5:40And they would come back to look for her. The next day, when
- 5:44they had not yet found the doll, Kafka gave the girl a letter written
- 5:49by the doll, saying, please don't cry. I took a trip to
- 5:55see the world. I will write to you about my adventures. Thus began
- 6:00a story which continued until the end of Kafka's life. During their meetings,
- 6:06Kafka read the letters of the doll, carefully written with adventures and conversations that
- 6:14the girl found adorable. Finally, Kafka brought back the doll he had bought
- 6:20one that had returned to Berlin. It doesn't look like my doll at all,
- 6:28said the girl. Kafka handed her another letter, in which the doll
- 6:32wrote, my travels have changed me. The little girl hugged the new doll
- 6:40and brought the doll with her to her happy home. A year later,
- 6:45Kafka died. Many years after that, the now adult girl found a letter
- 6:53inside the doll. In the tiny letter, signed by Kafka, what was
- 7:00written Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end love will
- 7:06return in another way. Embrace change, it's inevitable for growth. Together we
- 7:15can shift pain into wonder and love, but it's up to us to consciously
- 7:20and intentionally create that connection. Thank you for joining us today. Please consider
