- 1:07Speaker 1: hope that, um, your time today is productive and prosperous.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I want to say welcome, welcome, welcome to all my
- 1:19Speaker 1: new people because I'm getting new people every day. And
- 1:23Speaker 1: thank you for that. I can track it. Um, And
- 1:27Speaker 1: welcome to my old reliables that have been with me
- 1:29Speaker 1: no matter what happened. And all the new, well, they're
- 1:32Speaker 1: not new, but all the people who refound me, they
- 1:37Speaker 1: got reacquainted with me. Because remember, my first podcast was
- 1:45Speaker 1: taken off after five years. I want to say five
- 1:50Speaker 1: years or maybe it was four. If it was four
- 1:53Speaker 1: or five years, I had many years originally there, and
- 1:57Speaker 1: then it was taken off. But then I had to
- 2:00Speaker 1: start it again, and I believe this is the second
- 2:04Speaker 1: year or the first. I can't remember. I just know
- 2:07Speaker 1: it's six years, okay? Been here since actually 2019, but
- 2:16Speaker 1: haven't uploaded on a larger platform until 2020. So that's that.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I hope, again, that your day is wonderful. And I
- 2:29Speaker 1: have a message or two for you before I do
- 2:34Speaker 1: this lesson. And I want to say this. I was
- 2:39Speaker 1: doing large series of lessons that I was breaking down.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And even from my original platform, I was re-uploading. And
- 2:49Speaker 1: I have that on the platform library. But I want
- 2:52Speaker 1: to tell you, I'll be doing things. It's not necessarily
- 2:56Speaker 1: a series, but they are congruent. OK, they all connect
- 3:02Speaker 1: so that you could understand the larger picture of what's
- 3:07Speaker 1: going on. As I already stated, what my purpose was.
- 3:12Speaker 1: for being on this platform is to guide you through
- 3:15Speaker 1: the scriptures and help you understand what's going on in
- 3:20Speaker 1: end days and make those connections. So every bread, bread crumb,
- 3:25Speaker 1: excuse me, every dot, every Easter egg, every whatever you
- 3:28Speaker 1: want to call it matters. Okay. And today we are
- 3:34Speaker 1: in end times. We are on a slow boil. The
- 3:40Speaker 1: water is um, heating up and you can see bubbles,
- 3:45Speaker 1: but we are not at a boiling point, but just
- 3:48Speaker 1: know that, um, figuratively that is, um, we're in the
- 3:55Speaker 1: beginning stages of World War III, um, and, uh, many
- 4:00Speaker 1: nations are having civil war as well as war outside, um,
- 4:06Speaker 1: with other nations, even, um, within, um, every sector or
- 4:17Speaker 1: every system is having rumblings and separation against one another
- 4:29Speaker 1: that's causing all this mass anger and contention and strife.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So I say that because I'm going to be talking
- 4:40Speaker 1: about loosely today. And I will continue to talk about
- 4:49Speaker 1: that and I will bring it up when I touch
- 4:52Speaker 1: on it specifically. Today is something that has to do
- 4:58Speaker 1: with that indirectly and we'll be talking about it. I'll
- 5:02Speaker 1: also be drinking so you'll always hear the silences because
- 5:05Speaker 1: it's dry in my office and I have allergies. You
- 5:13Speaker 1: can also hear the cracking in my voice because of
- 5:17Speaker 1: my allergies and hopefully I don't lose my voice. So,
- 5:22Speaker 1: I want to talk about something today, and I'm hoping
- 5:27Speaker 1: that it's not long. Now, I've been doing some really
- 5:30Speaker 1: long lessons. The longest lesson I've done was three hours
- 5:35Speaker 1: in one lesson, three plus hours. And I know that
- 5:38Speaker 1: is extremely long, but it's very important. I don't want
- 5:41Speaker 1: to keep breaking it down, breaking it down, because if
- 5:43Speaker 1: something happens and I have to re-upload it, it'll save
- 5:47Speaker 1: me some headaches. It'll also save you some confusion because
- 5:51Speaker 1: depending on how I upload it, honey, anything can happen.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So I just want you to know that. But I'll
- 5:59Speaker 1: try to keep it as precise and concise as I
- 6:02Speaker 1: possibly can. This being one of those lessons is short,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but I wanted you to notice. I will be doing
- 6:11Speaker 1: shorter lessons so that I can upload it to various
- 6:13Speaker 1: platforms and not have to be cut off or compromised
- 6:18Speaker 1: in any way. So with all of that being said,
- 6:21Speaker 1: because I know that was a mouthful. Hold on. I
- 6:29Speaker 1: want to present this lecture to you. Get myself together here.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And it's called Discipline. Now, I could have named it self-discipline,
- 6:44Speaker 1: but it's just overall discipline. And I will get specific
- 6:48Speaker 1: once I get into it. So the name of the
- 6:55Speaker 1: lecture is Discipline, What It Is and What It Takes
- 6:59Speaker 1: to Move Forward in the Spirit. Okay. It's very important
- 7:05Speaker 1: because we need discipline to... get by okay so what
- 7:15Speaker 1: does it take to be disciplined okay um and how
- 7:22Speaker 1: do we how do we achieve discipline okay self-discipline how
- 7:30Speaker 1: important is it to be disciplined okay especially today um
- 7:38Speaker 1: most of the time it's taught at home OK. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: when these questions are asked, most people don't even give
- 7:47Speaker 1: it a second thought, much less a first thought, especially
- 7:52Speaker 1: in these end days. OK. It's very important to have discipline.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's also important to be able to ask yourself the
- 8:04Speaker 1: question about discipline and self-discipline, just overall discipline. Like I said,
- 8:11Speaker 1: in these end days is very important. This is an
- 8:16Speaker 1: important subject. So I'm going to define the word. And
- 8:23Speaker 1: then I'll break down how important it is today because
- 8:27Speaker 1: we all need discipline. And we don't have that today.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Look at the world. Look at the United States. Remember that.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Look at the cabinet today and look at the president.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Do you see any discipline there? Any discipline. Anti-discipline. Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So this is an important subject, okay? As a matter
- 8:51Speaker 1: of fact, I was having this conversation with somebody who
- 8:53Speaker 1: has a reckless and restless child, okay? And this is
- 8:58Speaker 1: how this all came about because this is really important.
- 9:03Speaker 1: This individual, and I'm not going to say names or anybody,
- 9:07Speaker 1: This individual is not happy about her child's behavior, okay?
- 9:13Speaker 1: And this individual, gentle parents. She does gentle parenting, which
- 9:19Speaker 1: is not needed today, honey. She gentle parents her child,
- 9:25Speaker 1: but it's clearly not working. Yet, this individual does not
- 9:29Speaker 1: understand that discipline is important in our lives. Discipline... It's
- 9:35Speaker 1: supposed to come down from the parents or those who
- 9:41Speaker 1: raise their children in any capacity, aunt, uncle, grandma, whoever
- 9:48Speaker 1: has custody of this child. It's supposed to come from
- 9:54Speaker 1: home first. That's how it's developed, okay? It's developed. and
- 10:00Speaker 1: implemented at home. Okay? Because this is important. Okay? And
- 10:15Speaker 1: this person is not doing a good job. Okay? yet
- 10:22Speaker 1: the person doesn't understand that their discipline, quote unquote, is
- 10:29Speaker 1: not working and discipline, overall discipline of ourselves is very important. Okay.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So this mother, I'm just going to say mother or yeah,
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm just, this mother has expressed her dismay at the child.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Like she's, She's not happy with the kid. I told
- 10:54Speaker 1: her that she needs to discipline the child because she
- 10:56Speaker 1: came to me and she expressed, oh, I don't like
- 10:59Speaker 1: the way this child is doing X, Y, and Z.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So she's coming to me with it. I believe in
- 11:09Speaker 1: what the scriptures say, spare the rod and spoil the child.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So I told her that she needs to discipline the child.
- 11:18Speaker 1: And she said, oh, no, no, no. I don't hit
- 11:20Speaker 1: my child. That's what she said to me. And I
- 11:23Speaker 1: told her discipline and corporal punishment is not the same thing. Okay.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'm going to say it again. Discipline and corporal punishment
- 11:36Speaker 1: is not the same thing. Now, I'm going to tell
- 11:38Speaker 1: you how I'm an expert in that. And I am. Okay. Okay.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I am an expert in that because that was my job,
- 11:48Speaker 1: at least one of my jobs, to determine what discipline
- 11:54Speaker 1: was and what corporal punishment was, to determine risk and harm,
- 12:01Speaker 1: the risk of harm, the elevated risk and harm. unelevated
- 12:06Speaker 1: risk of harm. That was my job. That was one
- 12:10Speaker 1: of my careers is to determine that. So by law,
- 12:17Speaker 1: to determine that by law, that was my job for many,
- 12:22Speaker 1: many years. So I am able to not only... advise
- 12:30Speaker 1: this person just as a friend or somebody who she
- 12:35Speaker 1: could run that by but by law I was mandated
- 12:42Speaker 1: to be able to determine okay risks of harm so
- 12:49Speaker 1: as I told her discipline and corporal punishment is not
- 12:53Speaker 1: the same thing okay Pawful punishment can be included or
- 13:00Speaker 1: added to the discipline, but it's not necessarily the same.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And after I explained that to her and provided an example,
- 13:11Speaker 1: because she didn't get it, simply because it wasn't clearly
- 13:15Speaker 1: registering to her, possibly because she was undisciplined, and she is, okay?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Not trying to talk about people, but she is. So
- 13:28Speaker 1: I said, and I'm just going to say, if you
- 13:32Speaker 1: don't have something, if you were never taught something, how
- 13:35Speaker 1: are you able to teach somebody else something if you
- 13:38Speaker 1: don't have it? If you are void of self-discipline, how
- 13:43Speaker 1: are you to teach somebody discipline? You can't because you
- 13:47Speaker 1: don't have it. I'm just saying, and this goes in
- 13:50Speaker 1: any arena. Okay, if you don't have it, how can
- 13:54Speaker 1: you teach it? So it goes back to me when
- 14:00Speaker 1: I told her, I said, think of the military. I
- 14:03Speaker 1: told her to think of the military and how the
- 14:08Speaker 1: military personnel, all those people who sign up for the military,
- 14:14Speaker 1: they don't get hit physically, physically punished. They don't. Okay.
- 14:23Speaker 1: There are regimens that are taught and exercised So that
- 14:28Speaker 1: they don't forget their teachings. That's discipline. Okay. It's instances
- 14:37Speaker 1: of reinforcement behaviors or reinforced behaviors. Okay. Positive reinforcement. Okay.
- 14:48Speaker 1: And repetition. Okay. As well as cause and effect. And
- 14:57Speaker 1: at this time, she got it. I had to give
- 15:00Speaker 1: that little scenario to her. But honestly, I don't believe
- 15:07Speaker 1: that she would take my advice, even with the explanation.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And this may not be my problem, but it certainly
- 15:20Speaker 1: will eventually become a large problem for her and for
- 15:24Speaker 1: the child. And I'm going to tell you why. Number one,
- 15:33Speaker 1: this individual and her child is a child of Israel.
- 15:37Speaker 1: And we, as the children of Israel, have to teach
- 15:40Speaker 1: our children extra stuff, which I told you before. Okay?
- 15:46Speaker 1: And without the right discipline, trouble comes rushing in. And
- 15:50Speaker 1: it could be detrimental if there's no self-discipline. I'm going
- 15:55Speaker 1: to say it again. We have to teach our children,
- 15:59Speaker 1: children of Israel, daughters and sons of Zion. We have
- 16:01Speaker 1: to teach our children, our progeny, extra things that nobody
- 16:07Speaker 1: else has to teach their children. I already said this
- 16:09Speaker 1: a boatload of times and it's true. However, and the
- 16:15Speaker 1: reason why I'm saying this is because many of our
- 16:17Speaker 1: progeny is not doing it and they're losing their children.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And then they're looking around like, oh, what, what, what?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Like they don't know. And they probably don't, but hopefully
- 16:29Speaker 1: this lesson will drive it home. Okay, because enough is enough.
- 16:34Speaker 1: We are all tired of losing our children. This is
- 16:38Speaker 1: why it's important to be disciplined. Okay, and our discipline
- 16:42Speaker 1: and everybody else's discipline is not the same thing. We're
- 16:45Speaker 1: the children of Israel. That's number one. Number two, this
- 16:49Speaker 1: child will have to deal with a larger system. Right now,
- 16:53Speaker 1: he's just dealing with a small system. I already told
- 16:55Speaker 1: you there's three systems. The micro, the meso, and the macro. Micro, meso, macro.
- 17:09Speaker 1: And people who are in the careers of psychology, social work,
- 17:20Speaker 1: any other mental health field, they understand what I mean.
- 17:23Speaker 1: For those of you who don't, the microsystem is your family.
- 17:27Speaker 1: When a child is small, a baby, all he knows
- 17:31Speaker 1: is your direct family members. That's it, primary family members.
- 17:35Speaker 1: They may not even know secondary family members or extended
- 17:39Speaker 1: family members. They know the primary people that take care
- 17:42Speaker 1: of them and that's where discipline should start. Again, there's
- 17:46Speaker 1: a difference between discipline and corporal punishment. Okay. The mesosystem,
- 17:53Speaker 1: which is the middle system. When a child gets old
- 17:56Speaker 1: enough to go to school, the neighborhood, his peers, he'll
- 18:00Speaker 1: develop peers that'll be his friends or not, whatever. And
- 18:06Speaker 1: those are the people he'll deal with. That's the mesosystem.
- 18:09Speaker 1: That's the middle ground. Okay. He may know the neighborhood,
- 18:13Speaker 1: go to the neighborhood teen center or whatever when they
- 18:17Speaker 1: start growing up. And then it's the macrosystem dealing with
- 18:19Speaker 1: the world. People's individuals views do not coincide a lot
- 18:27Speaker 1: of times with the larger systems, rules and regulations. And
- 18:32Speaker 1: this is exactly what I mean when you don't have self-discipline, right?
- 18:38Speaker 1: You may not have it in the macro system and
- 18:40Speaker 1: it's okay with them, but when it becomes the meso
- 18:43Speaker 1: system and the macro system, I mean, let me say
- 18:47Speaker 1: it again. When you're in the micro system, it's just
- 18:50Speaker 1: the family. So your raising of a child that may
- 18:56Speaker 1: be off putting to other people is not recognized. When
- 18:59Speaker 1: you get to the meso system, in that meso system,
- 19:04Speaker 1: They may recognize that. Like when you're in primary school
- 19:07Speaker 1: and secondary school, the teachers will be like, oh, well,
- 19:09Speaker 1: this person is not listening. So they might write you
- 19:12Speaker 1: up or put you in special education or whatever, because
- 19:15Speaker 1: it may not be a dysfunction of the mind. It
- 19:18Speaker 1: may be the child is spoiled and used to getting
- 19:24Speaker 1: what they want. So if they're not going to get
- 19:25Speaker 1: what they want, they're going to start acting out. That's
- 19:28Speaker 1: not permissible anymore. In the mental system, in the school system,
- 19:33Speaker 1: in your neighborhood with your friends, that's not permissible. Nobody's
- 19:38Speaker 1: going to put up with that. So that is going
- 19:41Speaker 1: to cause a problem. And then when the child becomes
- 19:45Speaker 1: an adult, a young adult up until full adulthood, that attitude.
- 19:50Speaker 1: and those ways are not going to fly. So that's
- 19:54Speaker 1: what I mean about the macro, meso, and macro system. Micro, meso, macro. Okay?
- 20:02Speaker 1: No system. So the second part, because the first part
- 20:06Speaker 1: is we children of Israel, we got to teach our
- 20:09Speaker 1: children extra stuff. And being disciplined is a priority. Because
- 20:16Speaker 1: you have to be. Because when you get older, you
- 20:18Speaker 1: got to deal with police and all that stuff. You
- 20:21Speaker 1: could just walk out your house and be policed by
- 20:24Speaker 1: an individual or the actual police. You must have self-discipline.
- 20:29Speaker 1: But I don't want to put the car before the horse.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I'm just letting you know. The second reason, and there's
- 20:34Speaker 1: two primary reasons. Number one, you're a child of Israel.
- 20:36Speaker 1: If you are, you've got to teach your children extra
- 20:38Speaker 1: stuff with the discipline, okay? Second part, or number two,
- 20:44Speaker 1: is he'll have to deal with a larger system, which
- 20:46Speaker 1: I explained to you already, okay? And when this child
- 20:50Speaker 1: grows up, whether it be he or she, the individual
- 20:55Speaker 1: will have to deal with many different types of people
- 20:58Speaker 1: and attitudes, okay? And they may even, these people may
- 21:03Speaker 1: even be less disciplined than the child. I'm going to
- 21:08Speaker 1: tell you what my mother used to always tell us.
- 21:12Speaker 1: There's always somebody better than you. You think you're bad?
- 21:15Speaker 1: There's somebody better than you. Which is bad. Because if
- 21:19Speaker 1: you think you're bad and you don't have no discipline,
- 21:21Speaker 1: there's always somebody who don't have discipline. The even worse
- 21:25Speaker 1: thing is, if you don't have the protection, and you
- 21:29Speaker 1: know what I mean, You ain't getting away with nothing.
- 21:32Speaker 1: But that person will. I don't care how bad that
- 21:35Speaker 1: person treated you. That person will give preferential treatment, but
- 21:40Speaker 1: not you as a child of Israel. So like I said,
- 21:46Speaker 1: when you get older, you're going to experience different types
- 21:49Speaker 1: of people, behaviors, and attitudes. Okay? Okay? And they may
- 21:58Speaker 1: even be less disciplined than you, or in this case,
- 22:03Speaker 1: the child at hand. And this is a recipe for disaster.
- 22:11Speaker 1: And for the children of Israel, you know what I
- 22:14Speaker 1: mean when I say this. Now, I am going to
- 22:17Speaker 1: define discipline. Okay? Okay? both in the dictionary, in the
- 22:26Speaker 1: Webster's dictionary, and a spiritual definition, because we need to
- 22:31Speaker 1: know it. So first I'm in the Webster's and it
- 22:34Speaker 1: says this, discipline is a noun. Okay. And the synonyms
- 22:40Speaker 1: for discipline is control, gain by enforcing disobedience or obedience, sorry. Control,
- 22:49Speaker 1: gain by enforcing obedience or order. Okay? Struggle to maintain discipline. Example,
- 22:58Speaker 1: like in a classroom. Behavior in accordance with rules and regulations,
- 23:05Speaker 1: which is orderly conduct. Okay? Self-control. Okay? And punishment, which
- 23:15Speaker 1: is corporal punishment. Okay? Instruction. So that is our governance.
- 23:27Speaker 1: That is the definition, a short definition of discipline, which
- 23:32Speaker 1: we all need, by the way. And the most high
- 23:35Speaker 1: even does it, but I don't want to put the
- 23:37Speaker 1: court before the horse. Remember, now I'm going to, hold on. Okay.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I am going to decipher what it means. as a
- 23:58Speaker 1: transitional verb or a verb, to be disciplined, okay, to
- 24:04Speaker 1: punish or penalize, okay, as a means of enforcing obedience. Again,
- 24:13Speaker 1: to train or develop by instruction and exercise, especially in self-control,
- 24:19Speaker 1: and to impose order, okay? Now, That this word has been,
- 24:31Speaker 1: now that this word has been defined, we see that
- 24:42Speaker 1: the word discipline has a few meanings, but it all
- 24:51Speaker 1: boils down to having self-control, okay? Now I'm going to
- 24:58Speaker 1: give you the spiritual view in regards to spiritual discipline.
- 25:04Speaker 1: They are regular intentional habits and practices such as prayer,
- 25:10Speaker 1: scriptural reading, fasting, detoxing, and service, okay? Undertaken to foster
- 25:19Speaker 1: inner transformation, deeper relationships with the Most High, and growth
- 25:28Speaker 1: in spiritual maturity. That's the short answer, okay? So we
- 25:35Speaker 1: know that this is important. Self-discipline is very important because
- 25:44Speaker 1: it deepens your relationship and it gives you a foundation
- 25:54Speaker 1: that you don't have to, uh, you don't have to, uh,
- 26:04Speaker 1: deviate from, okay. You don't have to deviate from this
- 26:10Speaker 1: because it will be, uh, planted in you, nurtured, and
- 26:18Speaker 1: you won't forget it. So that's important. That is important.
- 26:23Speaker 1: So now that this, um, This word discipline has been
- 26:32Speaker 1: defined both ways. We see that there is a line
- 26:37Speaker 1: between discipline and being disciplined via corporal punishment. And it's
- 26:41Speaker 1: not necessarily corporal punishment, but with discipline, the parent has
- 26:46Speaker 1: to do the work. You have to do the work.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Everybody got to do the work, okay? Even spiritually, the
- 26:53Speaker 1: work is done. The Most High already did the work
- 26:55Speaker 1: by the law, statutes, precepts, and commands. He already put
- 26:57Speaker 1: down everything, everything you need to do, the Ruach, all
- 27:00Speaker 1: of that. He gives you all of that, and then
- 27:01Speaker 1: he tells you what to do and what not to do.
- 27:04Speaker 1: You already have all your resources. You did whatever. He
- 27:07Speaker 1: implanted it in you through the Ruach. He already gave
- 27:11Speaker 1: you the capacity to have the Ruach in you. He
- 27:15Speaker 1: put the law, statutes, precepts, and commands down, so you
- 27:18Speaker 1: have it, okay? You got everything. You fully equipped. Understand that.
- 27:25Speaker 1: So that's what the parent has to do. Lay down
- 27:28Speaker 1: the law, exercise the child, reinforce all of that. Same
- 27:32Speaker 1: thing the Most High does. So everybody has to do
- 27:36Speaker 1: the work and so does the child. And we as
- 27:38Speaker 1: the children of Israel and the second plot, we got
- 27:40Speaker 1: to do our jobs too. Not only in understanding, but
- 27:44Speaker 1: in the choices and circumstances which we all need to
- 27:49Speaker 1: build up our self-discipline And in the case of the
- 27:53Speaker 1: child and the parent, that child's self-discipline, okay? Via reinforcement
- 28:00Speaker 1: of the child, okay? To make sure that it's there
- 28:04Speaker 1: and they don't deviate from it. Teach a child in
- 28:07Speaker 1: the way that they should go. And when they grow up,
- 28:09Speaker 1: they will not deviate from it. That is a loosely
- 28:12Speaker 1: based scripture. Understand that, okay? So for many of us
- 28:18Speaker 1: who need self-discipline, okay? How we choose to build our
- 28:25Speaker 1: self-discipline is up to us and what we listen to
- 28:30Speaker 1: and what we choose to follow. OK, now we'll discuss
- 28:38Speaker 1: our own ability to have self-discipline or lack thereof. There
- 28:43Speaker 1: are so many things that we need to learn when
- 28:45Speaker 1: we grow up. And it's important for us to have
- 28:48Speaker 1: a parent to provide this discipline, excuse me, to give
- 28:55Speaker 1: us in our lives in a way that we should
- 28:58Speaker 1: think and move, okay, in our lives. Proverbs 22 and
- 29:05Speaker 1: six from the King James says, train a child up
- 29:07Speaker 1: the way he should go. And when he is old,
- 29:09Speaker 1: he will not depart from it. Okay. Just like the
- 29:13Speaker 1: loose scripture I said a moment ago. It's important for
- 29:18Speaker 1: us all to learn self-discipline. And if you belong to
- 29:25Speaker 1: the most high, he will also teach you self-discipline. But
- 29:30Speaker 1: you must remember that This behavior must be taught. Think
- 29:36Speaker 1: of Job. He had to be taught And he was
- 29:41Speaker 1: visited on several occasions by angels that prepared him to
- 29:47Speaker 1: be able to spar with the devil. And we know
- 29:51Speaker 1: this in the testament of Job. Not in the book
- 30:00Speaker 1: of Job, the testament of Job, which provides more information
- 30:05Speaker 1: and understanding. OK, so the Most High also taught discipline
- 30:09Speaker 1: to the prophets as well as Jacob, whose real name
- 30:14Speaker 1: is Yaakov, and Israel, the man, and the apostles and Abraham.
- 30:20Speaker 1: All of this was taught by the Most High. The
- 30:22Speaker 1: Most High taught them this. When he gave them information,
- 30:26Speaker 1: he had to put them in a position to be
- 30:28Speaker 1: able to receive and understand the information. They just couldn't
- 30:32Speaker 1: be flesh bags. The Most High had to touch them,
- 30:36Speaker 1: give them special sauce and all of that. And I'll
- 30:39Speaker 1: just say special sauce, but the Most High had to
- 30:40Speaker 1: prepare them spiritually, okay? To be able to receive the
- 30:45Speaker 1: information and communicate it the way they did, okay? All
- 30:50Speaker 1: of this was taught by the Most High. And this
- 30:52Speaker 1: is important to know and understand because we too today
- 30:59Speaker 1: need discipline in order to learn self-discipline. You need to
- 31:03Speaker 1: learn discipline first in order to learn self-discipline. There are
- 31:09Speaker 1: things in our lives that we need to do. And
- 31:11Speaker 1: there are things in our lives that we need to
- 31:13Speaker 1: do without. And we can distinguish this by building our self-discipline.
- 31:21Speaker 1: There are building blocks that we need to have, like
- 31:26Speaker 1: building self-discipline, okay? Build habits, plan tasks, set priorities, and
- 31:34Speaker 1: allocate time for them. Building habits, which are automatic behaviors
- 31:41Speaker 1: that require less effort and more practice so we can
- 31:50Speaker 1: practice them consistently over time. The more you practice, the
- 31:54Speaker 1: more you'll know. And it becomes an instinct or instinctual.
- 32:04Speaker 1: The more you practice. Practice and self-care. That's self-discipline, which
- 32:10Speaker 1: supports mental well-being and By decluttering your mind, your mental museum,
- 32:17Speaker 1: your mind's eye of negative thoughts and fostering a sense
- 32:22Speaker 1: of self-control by prioritization, focus, and resilience. I know that
- 32:29Speaker 1: was a mouthful, but that's important to know. Okay, that's
- 32:33Speaker 1: important in self-care because we got to take care of
- 32:35Speaker 1: ourselves too. You don't take care of yourself. How are
- 32:38Speaker 1: you taking care of anybody else, number one? And how
- 32:40Speaker 1: are you maintaining yourself in any situation? Hello? Okay. We
- 32:48Speaker 1: also have to cultivate self-discipline. Using strategies for lasting personal growth.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Which is the ability to control impulses. Okay? Because what
- 33:01Speaker 1: separates us from the animals? Conscious thought and self-control. Okay? Okay?
- 33:16Speaker 1: So this is the ability to control impulses, stay focused
- 33:21Speaker 1: on goals, whatever they may be, and persist through challenges,
- 33:26Speaker 1: whatever they may be. Okay? It's just not about willpower.
- 33:32Speaker 1: It's more about a system design, habits, strengths, and self-control
- 33:39Speaker 1: within your environment. Okay? Okay? We must also delay gratification.
- 33:48Speaker 1: So delayed gratification is a big part of self-control. Choosing
- 33:53Speaker 1: long-term rewards over immediate temptations. And that also separates us
- 34:00Speaker 1: from animals or beasts. Because the most high... Does cause
- 34:09Speaker 1: certain nations beasts. Why? They have no self-control. They don't
- 34:14Speaker 1: have nothing. They just like their father, the creature. Understand that, okay?
- 34:22Speaker 1: They're not like the creator. They're the creature. We also
- 34:30Speaker 1: have to have, and this is some, it's not limited
- 34:33Speaker 1: to this, but this is some, some of it. Okay?
- 34:36Speaker 1: Emotional regulation. Managing your impulses constructively in order to reduce
- 34:42Speaker 1: mental stress and build resilience. Okay? You know what can
- 34:48Speaker 1: help with that? Creating schedules. Writing down what you need
- 34:53Speaker 1: to do, when you need to do it. Make yourself
- 34:58Speaker 1: more disciplined. Okay? Self-control and self-discipline is needed because we
- 35:07Speaker 1: live in a world full of desires and seduction. And
- 35:12Speaker 1: that's spiritual as well as physical. And we are constantly
- 35:16Speaker 1: being bombarded by instinctual desires making us beasts if we
- 35:22Speaker 1: fall to those desires without thinking about the consequences and circumstances.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I already told you about circumstances being spiritual. Okay? Do
- 35:33Speaker 1: as I will. Does that sound familiar? This is occulted satire.
- 35:40Speaker 1: It is wicked influence and the direct opposite of self-control,
- 35:46Speaker 1: which is indulgence. Do whatever you want to. Just roll around, maybe. Okay?
- 35:54Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, in the 18th century, the
- 35:56Speaker 1: Hellfire Club, this is just a little FYI, Okay. In
- 36:07Speaker 1: the 18th century, the Hellfire Club adopted this as a motto. Okay.
- 36:12Speaker 1: It was a bunch of heathens. They came together as
- 36:15Speaker 1: a club and they adopted do whatever you want to
- 36:17Speaker 1: or do as thy will as their motto. Often in
- 36:22Speaker 1: a satire, in a satire role, or a libertine context,
- 36:28Speaker 1: meaning keep saying it, keep saying it, and it becomes
- 36:32Speaker 1: something of a motto or some words to live by, okay?
- 36:46Speaker 1: Alexander Crawley, which I talked about before too, in regards
- 36:52Speaker 1: to him being a Mason, uh, 66 or 33 degree,
- 36:56Speaker 1: 66 or 33, I forgot, um, off the top of
- 37:00Speaker 1: my head. And, um, what he did was quote unquote
- 37:04Speaker 1: predict World War III and how it will come about.
- 37:10Speaker 1: And it's actually unfurling the way he said it, but
- 37:13Speaker 1: it's actually, um, more from the scriptures than from him. Okay. Um,
- 37:19Speaker 1: and his occultic philosophy, um, interprets the pursuit of one's
- 37:28Speaker 1: true will rather than a mere whim. Okay, meaning your
- 37:36Speaker 1: true will is to be animalistic, is to be beastly,
- 37:40Speaker 1: given to your desires, whatever you want, you can indulge in.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Just because it's out here doesn't mean you should go
- 37:48Speaker 1: and do it. And Solomon says that. Not the way
- 37:53Speaker 1: I'm saying it. Solomon says that because he also did it.
- 37:57Speaker 1: He also indulged in whatever he wanted to. And then
- 38:01Speaker 1: it got to the point that he was seduced by wickedness,
- 38:05Speaker 1: by all the holes that he had and every desire
- 38:09Speaker 1: he ever wanted, he indulged in. Yeah. And come to
- 38:15Speaker 1: find out that not only is there nothing new under
- 38:18Speaker 1: the sun, but all this stuff is vanity, is nothing.
- 38:22Speaker 1: And he says this in the scriptures, okay? Because he
- 38:26Speaker 1: didn't have enough self-discipline to steer away from there and
- 38:33Speaker 1: roll with the most high. So he threw all the
- 38:36Speaker 1: most highs, everything, every piece of discipline, all his knowledge
- 38:40Speaker 1: and wisdom that he had from the most high in
- 38:43Speaker 1: the Ruach, because the Ruach is wisdom, that he dedicated
- 38:48Speaker 1: books to. And he turned around and wanted everything in
- 38:51Speaker 1: the world. And what did it cost him? Everything. It
- 38:56Speaker 1: cost him everything. And he wrote books to let you
- 39:02Speaker 1: know that. Okay? So we have to be careful. Not
- 39:13Speaker 1: only do you have to teach your children discipline, you
- 39:17Speaker 1: have to make sure that they exercise it. And when
- 39:20Speaker 1: they exercise it and it becomes self-disciplined, then they can
- 39:23Speaker 1: teach it to their children. And so on and so forth.
- 39:27Speaker 1: But today, and what going into social science about what
- 39:36Speaker 1: happened in the 80s and why people are the way
- 39:39Speaker 1: they are and a couple of spiritual things happening in
- 39:43Speaker 1: end times, being mistress women will give birth to monsters.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Without me going into that, Because I could talk about
- 39:51Speaker 1: that all day. I will say this. At a certain time,
- 39:54Speaker 1: people wasn't teaching their children things. And that's by design
- 39:57Speaker 1: because the devil corrupted physically and spiritually. I already told
- 40:02Speaker 1: you there's a war being raged. And honey, the children
- 40:04Speaker 1: of Israel, what do they have? Trouble. They are being humiliated.
- 40:13Speaker 1: And without me going somewhere else, I'll just say in
- 40:16Speaker 1: regards to self-discipline, we must be able to teach our
- 40:20Speaker 1: children discipline. OK. Written within the scriptures, the devil is
- 40:25Speaker 1: often portrayed as the embodiment of self-serving will opposed to
- 40:31Speaker 1: the most as well. The phrase do thy will in
- 40:34Speaker 1: the scriptures is. in regards to John 15 and 14,
- 40:40Speaker 1: is used by Yahshua to describe disobedience, excuse me, to
- 40:43Speaker 1: describe obedience. I don't know why I keep saying disobedience.
- 40:47Speaker 1: To describe obedience to Yah's will, not the devil's will. However,
- 40:51Speaker 1: the devil's own will is depicted as rooted in falsehood
- 40:58Speaker 1: and opposed to the truth. Okay? The devil is opposed
- 41:04Speaker 1: to the truth, who is the most high. He is
- 41:06Speaker 1: the truth. The decision to do what you want without
- 41:11Speaker 1: consequence is how many of us live. Many people, especially
- 41:18Speaker 1: in the United States, I can only speak about the
- 41:20Speaker 1: United States because that's where I live, but I see
- 41:22Speaker 1: through world news that other people don't have self-control either.
- 41:26Speaker 1: But since I will focus on the United States, many
- 41:30Speaker 1: of us in the United States, us meaning you, because
- 41:34Speaker 1: everybody slips and falls, but there's some people that roll
- 41:36Speaker 1: around And being undisciplined. They just rolling it honey. I'm
- 41:41Speaker 1: going to do my will. And unfortunately. Many of the.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Major society. Okay. Starting with. The presidential cabinet. Are undisciplined.
- 42:10Speaker 1: So like I said, the decision to do what you
- 42:12Speaker 1: want without consequence is how many people live in the
- 42:16Speaker 1: United States. I already told you. Spiritual Babylon, spiritual Sodom
- 42:22Speaker 1: and Gomorrah, and spiritual Mitzrayim, aka Egypt. That's how the
- 42:29Speaker 1: ruling society lives. Okay? I can do whatever I want,
- 42:34Speaker 1: whenever I want, quote unquote. That sounds like those who
- 42:38Speaker 1: lived in Sodom and Gomorrah. They did whatever they wanted
- 42:41Speaker 1: back then. And the whole society was full of instinctual wickedness.
- 42:47Speaker 1: No discipline. But it wasn't always that way. Nevertheless, when
- 42:52Speaker 1: it started to go in that direction of wickedness and
- 42:55Speaker 1: the lack of self-control, no one stopped it. They rolled
- 43:00Speaker 1: with it, honey. It was encouraged from the mainstream society.
- 43:06Speaker 1: And those who opposed it were ostracized or punished in
- 43:10Speaker 1: some way, even sacrifice. Read about Solomon Gomorrah. It's like
- 43:20Speaker 1: that today. We must learn to have self-discipline or self-control.
- 43:27Speaker 1: This is a virtue, okay? And in a world of
- 43:32Speaker 1: the vices that we take up or pick up that
- 43:35Speaker 1: hurt us, That we fool ourselves into believing we okay
- 43:40Speaker 1: to do. It creates problems within us and or outside
- 43:45Speaker 1: of ourselves. They may hurt other people, okay? Yet we
- 43:50Speaker 1: don't even address it. This is a problem for us
- 43:55Speaker 1: spiritually and carnally, okay? Or materially. Simply because we can't
- 44:03Speaker 1: afford to walk in the middle, especially you children of Israel.
- 44:07Speaker 1: It's hazardous and potentially dangerous to walk in the middle, okay? Lastly,
- 44:14Speaker 1: I want to tell you why discipline matters. By practicing discipline,
- 44:18Speaker 1: we can build healthy habits, improve productivity in any area,
- 44:25Speaker 1: and mental strain, okay? We can lessen mental strain. We
- 44:29Speaker 1: can create a more fulfilled life balance in all areas, okay?
- 44:36Speaker 1: especially children in Israel, the more we utilize self-control by discipline,
- 44:43Speaker 1: it strengthens our self-esteem, okay? And reliability, reinforcing a positive
- 44:53Speaker 1: self-image So you see, we all need to exercise self-control
- 44:58Speaker 1: and learn how to teach it to our children so
- 45:01Speaker 1: that they can have the proper self-control in order to
- 45:06Speaker 1: appropriately deal with the world outside of themselves or outside
- 45:11Speaker 1: of the micro system. Okay. Okay. This also gives them
- 45:23Speaker 1: a great transition into the mezzo and macro system. Self-control.
- 45:28Speaker 1: We need it. Okay? Now, I want to discuss some
- 45:32Speaker 1: scriptures about discipline. It's not in any order. What is this?
- 45:41Speaker 1: Hebrews 12 and 51. And you have forgotten the exhortation
- 45:47Speaker 1: that addresses you as sons. My son, do not regard
- 45:51Speaker 1: lightly the discipline of Adonai Yahuwah. Okay? Nor be weary
- 46:03Speaker 1: when reproved by him. For Adonai disciplines the ones he
- 46:09Speaker 1: loves and chases every son whom he receives. That's two flocks.
- 46:17Speaker 1: He loves the children of Israel and whoever he received
- 46:20Speaker 1: after that, which is in the second flop, he loves
- 46:23Speaker 1: them too and chastises them. It is for discipline that
- 46:28Speaker 1: you have to endure. The Most High is treating you
- 46:33Speaker 1: as sons. For what son is there whom the father
- 46:38Speaker 1: does not discipline? So if the father don't discipline you,
- 46:41Speaker 1: you ain't his son. And we already know that. If
- 46:44Speaker 1: you are left without discipline, which is all, which, excuse me,
- 46:53Speaker 1: in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children
- 46:59Speaker 1: and not sons, meaning you're bastards. If I don't discipline
- 47:03Speaker 1: my kids, you're a bastard. The most high says in
- 47:05Speaker 1: these scriptures, but I'm reading from the ESV, so naturally
- 47:09Speaker 1: they ain't gonna say the original words. Besides this, we
- 47:12Speaker 1: have an earthly father who disciplines us, or earthly fathers
- 47:16Speaker 1: who discipline us, and we respect them. Shall we not
- 47:21Speaker 1: much more subject to the Father's spirits and live? So
- 47:27Speaker 1: basically in this ESV, because it's all going to be
- 47:30Speaker 1: ESV now. It's basically saying you have to be disciplined
- 47:34Speaker 1: by the Most High. And if you don't, then you're
- 47:36Speaker 1: a bastard. For the two flocks, you will be disciplined.
- 47:39Speaker 1: You're going to be disciplined, two flocks. You're going to
- 47:42Speaker 1: be disciplined. That's just the way it is. Because the
- 47:44Speaker 1: Most High knows you. The Most High made you. You
- 47:47Speaker 1: was his before the foundation of the world. And damn
- 47:49Speaker 1: if you ain't going to be disciplined. Yes, I did
- 47:51Speaker 1: say damn if you ain't going to be disciplined. You
- 47:53Speaker 1: will be disciplined by the Father who loves you. You
- 47:57Speaker 1: need discipline or else you're going to go right where
- 48:00Speaker 1: the heathens go. Matthew 22 and 39 from the ESV.
- 48:14Speaker 1: And the second is like it. So let me set
- 48:17Speaker 1: the stage for you. Yahshua was walking among people. And
- 48:25Speaker 1: he was asking him about the laws and the commands.
- 48:33Speaker 1: And one person asked him, which one is the most
- 48:36Speaker 1: important command? So Yeshua, who was the most high in
- 48:41Speaker 1: the flesh, told him about the first important one. Love
- 48:44Speaker 1: the most high with all your heart, soul, and your mind.
- 48:48Speaker 1: And the second command is just like the first command.
- 48:52Speaker 1: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. So that's discipline.
- 48:56Speaker 1: If you loved your neighbor as yourself, or if you
- 48:59Speaker 1: love your neighbor like you love the most high, you
- 49:01Speaker 1: wouldn't do anything harmful to them you would not do
- 49:07Speaker 1: any sacrifices against them or to them you will not
- 49:11Speaker 1: do anything that's self-control i don't care what they say
- 49:15Speaker 1: i don't care what they do you wouldn't do none
- 49:16Speaker 1: of that you will have the self-control to be able
- 49:19Speaker 1: to love them and support them just like the Most
- 49:22Speaker 1: High said or instilled in you. Okay? I'm going to
- 49:29Speaker 1: tell you a big thing. Money makes people act like fools.
- 49:39Speaker 1: And I'm going to get on that shortly. But I
- 49:42Speaker 1: just wanted you to know that money make people act
- 49:44Speaker 1: like fools, honey, especially in this day and age. And
- 49:47Speaker 1: we already know that. Acts 20 and 35. Yes, we
- 49:53Speaker 1: in all things. I have shown you that by working
- 49:57Speaker 1: hard in this way, we must help the weak to
- 50:01Speaker 1: remember the words of Yeshua, how he himself said. It
- 50:07Speaker 1: is more blessed to give than to receive. That's a virtue.
- 50:11Speaker 1: And it takes control to follow the virtues. Because a
- 50:16Speaker 1: lot of people don't want to do what the virtues entail.
- 50:20Speaker 1: They don't want to. They want to indulge themselves. They
- 50:22Speaker 1: don't give a damn about nobody else. That's how it
- 50:25Speaker 1: is in the United States. Okay? Especially to all those
- 50:29Speaker 1: people who call themselves Christians and Christian nationalism. Everything is
- 50:34Speaker 1: about them. Okay? Supremacy is about them. Which is the
- 50:42Speaker 1: direct opposite of what the Most High says. Okay? Psalms
- 50:50Speaker 1: 119 and 105, ESV. Your word is a lamp to
- 50:54Speaker 1: my feet and a light to my path. Disciplined. What
- 50:59Speaker 1: does the Most High present to the children of Israel?
- 51:02Speaker 1: Not only in the Old Testament, he tells them to
- 51:04Speaker 1: keep his Lord's statutes, precepts, and commands from the beginning
- 51:08Speaker 1: to the end. People, why? Because that instills discipline. It
- 51:13Speaker 1: ain't going to make you perfect, but we already know
- 51:15Speaker 1: that the whole world has fallen short. So you stay
- 51:19Speaker 1: within the confounds of those Lord's statutes, precepts, and commands.
- 51:22Speaker 1: And this way, if you do mess up, then the
- 51:25Speaker 1: Most High knows how to reprimand you. Got it? Colossians
- 51:36Speaker 1: 4 and 12 from the ESV. Ephaphras, who is one
- 51:44Speaker 1: of you, a servant of the Messiah Yahushua, greets you
- 51:50Speaker 1: always struggling on your behalf in his prayers that you
- 51:53Speaker 1: may stand mature and fully assured in all the will
- 52:02Speaker 1: of the Most High. That's discipline. You have to. And
- 52:07Speaker 1: I believe his name was Ephaphras. E-P-A-P-H-R-A-S. Just the FYI.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I'm going to read this last one and then I'm
- 52:21Speaker 1: going to wrap it up. 1 John 2 1 through 12.
- 52:31Speaker 1: My little children, I am writing these things to you
- 52:33Speaker 1: so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin,
- 52:38Speaker 1: we have an advocate with the Father. Yahshua HaMashiach, the righteous.
- 52:46Speaker 1: He is the propitiation for our sins. And not for
- 52:57Speaker 1: us only, but also for the sins of the world. Now,
- 53:06Speaker 1: remember who John is talking to. Remember who John is
- 53:11Speaker 1: talking to, okay? Okay, you have to take that in context.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Children of Israel and second flower. And by this, we
- 53:18Speaker 1: know that we have come to know him. If we
- 53:21Speaker 1: keep his commandments, why should we keep his commandments? Because
- 53:25Speaker 1: that's the discipline. Whoever says, I know the most high,
- 53:30Speaker 1: but doesn't keep his commandments is a liar. And the
- 53:34Speaker 1: truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word,
- 53:38Speaker 1: by his law, statutes, precepts, and commands, in him truly,
- 53:42Speaker 1: the love of the most high is perfected. By this,
- 53:46Speaker 1: we know that we are in him. That's important to know. Why?
- 53:51Speaker 1: Because that's discipline. That's the start of discipline. The reinforcement
- 53:57Speaker 1: of the laws, whatever laws you set down for your child,
- 54:01Speaker 1: the reinforcement of it. And that's how we know we
- 54:05Speaker 1: won't deviate from it once it is instilled in us
- 54:10Speaker 1: and we continue to practice it. That's how important it is.
- 54:14Speaker 1: We have to be able to instill discipline in our children,
- 54:19Speaker 1: whatever it means to you. Like I said, there's a
- 54:21Speaker 1: fine line. Well, it's not a fine line, but there's
- 54:23Speaker 1: a line between discipline and corporal punishment. It is. And
- 54:28Speaker 1: by law, you are able to physically, well, physically discipline
- 54:33Speaker 1: your child. By law, you are, okay? I know in
- 54:36Speaker 1: New York State, you are. But it's a line between
- 54:42Speaker 1: corporal punishment and abuse. So corporal punishment, yes, you can
- 54:47Speaker 1: utilize corporal punishment, but not abuse. So like I said,
- 54:52Speaker 1: discipline is very important for all of us. And without discipline,
- 54:56Speaker 1: we have chaos. And nobody wants that. We have that now.
- 55:03Speaker 1: And you see what's going on now without self-control and self-discipline.
- 55:10Speaker 1: So I hope that this small lesson edified you, and
- 55:15Speaker 1: gave you information and education on what discipline actually is.
