- 1:07[SPEAKER_06]: Doge.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_06]: Today's punchline is an undercover cop.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: Do you call up police officer?
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: When it's bedtime.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_05]: That's good.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_05]: When you call up when you call up police officer and bed.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_05]: What?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_05]: That would have been my swing.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_05]: Is the thing.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_05]: And so... What do you call a cop when you call a cop when you... What do you call a cop when is the buffet?
- 1:58[SPEAKER_05]: When you're at the buffet and the tray still has the lid on it.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_05]: And it's in the chafing dish.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_05]: You haven't put them on your plate yet.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_05]: What's that cop?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_05]: The chafing dish?
- 2:10[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_06]: It's called a chafing.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_06]: Chafing.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_06]: The chafing dish for me is usually something quite greasy and salty so I get a little bloaty and I start my legs rub together.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_04]: Those thighs.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, Carter wins.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_04]: What do you call it?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's been in bed under cover cop.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and he said my name, my name is Carter and
- 2:34[SPEAKER_04]: What to make a name for myself.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, it's back.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he's back.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_05]: It's back.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_05]: We're back.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_05]: We're back.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_05]: It's back because Mr. Taylor, Mr. Taylor himself is back.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_05]: He's here.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_05]: And if Mr. Taylor is here, then, Chandler, Taylor, Carter, Carter's making a name if Mr. Taylor's making a name.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_05]: And that's a guarantee.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's a guarantee.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's a guarantee.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_04]: That's a guarantee.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_04]: That's a guarantee.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_06]: That's true.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_06]: We did have, uh, we did have a cage and inspired meal last night watching Mr. Tater, uh, in his policeman auntie.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_06]: Did you make it yourself?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_06]: Jumped shrimpies.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, did you make it yourself?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_06]: Did you make it yourself?
- 3:08[SPEAKER_06]: But it's a good result.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_06]: No, we made it ourselves.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_06]: We had, uh, we had boot in from my mother-in-law.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_06]: She brought it up when she was passed through Dallas.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_07]: Ooh.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_06]: Can't move in.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_06]: Can't move in.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_06]: It had some boot in.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_06]: Had some boot in, had some dirty rice.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_06]: Dude, it went into some boot in.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_06]: You made homemade onion rings last night.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_06]: Whoa.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_06]: Wonderful.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_06]: It was a wonderful time and oil.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_06]: You're air frium.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_06]: Air frium.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_06]: Interesting.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_06]: Are you taking easy bake oven for adults?
- 3:36[SPEAKER_04]: Are you taking the lead on the majority of the cooking things in your home?
- 3:41[SPEAKER_04]: Does.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_04]: Or you mainly just the protein.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_04]: Boy.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm probably, I probably.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: Just weeks.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_06]: We have a percent of what we eat.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: One of my favorite things in the world is when you cook.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_04]: We're just talk about it.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_06]: I like it too.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_06]: I like cooking too.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_04]: You just have the soul of someone who, it's not a surprise that they're good at cooking, and they enjoy it.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_06]: Does that make sense?
- 4:02[SPEAKER_06]: Kind of like John, I'm like the John Favreau's chef.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_04]: Basically.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_06]: Our friend group.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_04]: Basically.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_04]: Speaking of John Favreau, we're on the street as he had a birthday.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_06]: My guess is he's been born.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_05]: He's got one.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_06]: He's got one.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_06]: You know how would you look at somebody you can tell?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_06]: I could tell when I look at him.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_06]: He's pretty judgmental, but.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_06]: Having been wrong yet.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_04]: Friends, I have three individuals who were born September second.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: This is a star was born.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: The way that this game works, if you all haven't heard, I'm specifically talking to the two of you on the podcast with me.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_04]: We use IMDB.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_04]: And if you scroll IMDB's main page, you'll see, you can look fun little born today.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_04]: Which feels like, you know, it's pretty special to be able to celebrate with celebrities out there, that you don't know, little parasocial relationship.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody, nobody gets celebrities attention anymore.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_06]: No, to be able to do them a little bit more people are like forgetting about them.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_04]: So I'll let them know who has a birthday, so that we can celebrate with that individual.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_04]: We're trying to discover who that is.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_04]: By me saying, you know, how old they are, then how many credits they are, and then these guys take three random shots into the credits and try not to hit a voice acting or like one random episode.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_04]: To guess who our star is, Warren, September, second, nineteen, seventy, six.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_04]: So about to turn, forty nine, forty nine, years old, this gentleman,
- 5:42[SPEAKER_04]: has eighty three acting credits up one upcoming so eighty four in total we can actually use all of it eighty four say the age one more time I went somewhere else forty nine forty nine eighty three acting credits yep yes but we can use the upcoming one so eighty four so as we can use the upcoming one that's not the one I want to hear you say though
- 6:11[SPEAKER_06]: Which one do you want to hear him say?
- 6:12[SPEAKER_06]: I want to hear him say AD.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_06]: Give me what hit me with that classic Ochaenda.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_04]: The ballad of Wallace Island.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_04]: Mmm, swallow scoggins.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_06]: America's sweetheart.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_06]: If if Carter says we can use the upcoming, maybe we know what it is.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe it's not Avengers.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_03]: And that's helpful.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: If it's an Avengers.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_06]: There's only a couple people in that.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, give me the upcoming.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: Eighty four.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: The paper.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_06]: Dom Nalk Leason.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_06]: He's forty three.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_06]: Is he forty three?
- 7:04[SPEAKER_06]: How about so?
- 7:05[SPEAKER_06]: That feels about, right?
- 7:05[SPEAKER_04]: Forty-nine's what you're going for, by the way.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_04]: But... Ah, he might not be.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_05]: He could be forty-three then, so it's not him.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_03]: Forty-nine, it feels a little old for Dom Nogli, isn't doesn't it?
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_03]: A little young for Oscar, n-n-n-n-n-yes.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's definitely not Oscar N-n-yes.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_06]: Who else do... Who else is in that?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe it's a writer?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_06]: Do what?
- 7:32[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe it's a writer?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Could be, man.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: It could be.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember who else is in it.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: The paper?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, um, you want to rewind a little bit?
- 7:49[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, wait.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: Is it?
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: Is it like Tim Key in it from Taskmaster?
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you need forty nine.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah, let's go back.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, perhaps.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I think we should say forty-nine.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_06]: The honor of his age.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_06]: The bird.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_06]: The honor of his age.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm comfortable with that.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, forty-nine.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_05]: Forty-nine.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_05]: And it is a great honor to him.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_05]: To choose his age for his number.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_06]: Not everybody gets that seven times seven movie credit.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_06]: Right allowed on a podcast.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: Is that how many times I should forgive this man?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_06]: The overcooked.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, man.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_06]: It's not Dom.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_06]: No, I don't think he's forty nine.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_06]: Let's name one other person besides Oscar Nuneus.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_06]: Here's the thing, Paper.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_05]: I think I remember seeing Tim Ghee in the trailer, but now I don't remember.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_06]: You say Tim or Dom?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_05]: There's no way Dom, not at least it's almost fifty.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, man.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_05]: Let's take it.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_03]: Take it.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_05]: Because why?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_05]: Why not?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know, Timkey.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_06]: Timkey.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_06]: It's not Timkey.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_06]: Timkey.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_06]: No, not Timkey.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_06]: It's not him, but Timkey.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not glistened born in nineteen eighty-three.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_04]: So this individual is our second build individual on the paper.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_04]: Happy forty-nights birthday.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_04]: Timkey.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_04]: Got it.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_04]: Forty-nights birthday.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_04]: Amazing.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_05]: I never, I never would.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_04]: Amazing.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_05]: If not for the paper.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_05]: So good.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_05]: Let's call it.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_04]: Let's think back to you.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: If you all have been following along with the story here.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: Let's think back to the moment that Jordan didn't remember the age because he had gone to another place.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: That's where you went.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_05]: I did go to another place.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_04]: That was the place.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: You found out it was his mom.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_04]: That was season one of the funniest people through the hilarious, truly hilarious.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_04]: You were really close to Mickey Seventeen at eighty.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_04]: Mickey Seventeen was at eighty one if you remember.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_04]: He was the chicken.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_05]: Honestly, don't think I would have remembered that he was in there.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_05]: I did not remember that he was in there.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_05]: There you go.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_04]: Our next birthday, born, nineteen, sixty six.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_04]: This actress has
- 10:20[SPEAKER_04]: Eighty seven acting credits.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_04]: That's what we'll use.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_04]: Two upcoming.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_04]: We won't use just.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_05]: Fifty nine.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_05]: Fifty nine.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_04]: Eighty seven acting credits.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: Seven acting credits.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_06]: She's one of those pre-moon pre-moon humans when she was born.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_06]: We never walked around up there.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, let's do.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_06]: Sixty nine.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_06]: Nice.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, sixty nine for sure.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_06]: All right, give me a time here.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_06]: Four, thirty.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_06]: It's eight o'clock six a.m.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_06]: Both, that's fair.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's wrong.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys keep the seconds on your clock on your computer?
- 11:06[SPEAKER_06]: Whoa.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_06]: Sossage party.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_06]: I need that.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: I keep it on there for somebody.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: Never seen it.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_06]: Sossage party.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_04]: Sossage party.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_05]: I don't watch stuff like that.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like inappropriate.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_06]: I got veggie tales.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_06]: That's all I need as far as talking foods go.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm looking for more.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_06]: I'm looking for my talking foods to like, honor God.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, they're in the fridge and it's really funny, but if they could also tell me about Daniel and the lion's den while they're in there.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_06]: That's pretty, if you would.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_05]: I'm looking for my food to teach me about right and wrong.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_05]: Sins and Dom, you know what I mean?
- 11:46[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_05]: Um, show me.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, so I was just part of, not that recent.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_05]: We were in college when that came out.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe more recent than that.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_06]: Huh?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_06]: How many credits does she have?
- 12:02[SPEAKER_06]: Eighty something.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_06]: Eighties.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_06]: Seven.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_06]: But a nice round eighty two.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing, nothing rounder than eighty two.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I always say.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_06]: Give me show me your brownie eighty two.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_06]: eighty two is only one straight line in all in both numbers.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_06]: It's the bottom of the two.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_04]: House of Gucci.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't necessarily see that either.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_05]: And that's because I didn't look good.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_06]: The ones that I watched.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_06]: Let's still not that recent, right?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_06]: That's like three or four years ago.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_06]: We could go even more recent than that.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Eighty five.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_04]: Magic mics last dance.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_05]: Once again, I do want to say.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_05]: I started necessarily really see that one.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: Can I tell you?
- 12:58[SPEAKER_05]: We got tater.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_05]: Didn't really see that one.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_05]: Twenty three did I. Didn't really see that one quite so much.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_05]: So basically, what we have right now is, name a fifty nine year old.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, basically, who would have been in sausage party?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_06]: So somebody who's friends with Rogi?
- 13:24[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: That's the Seth Rogi movie, right?
- 13:27[SPEAKER_05]: It feels like a Seth Rogi.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_05]: Somebody who's friends with Rogi, because they would also be friends with taters, throw them in the mic.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_05]: I assume they're, I assume they're conventionally attractive because they probably are part of the magic mic.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_06]: Sort of you for how people call you for how old how old's Aniston Hmm, that's a good question.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think I don't think she's almost sixty would she be in house of Gucci?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_06]: No certainly not I bet she's almost sixty I bet she's not that I bet she's not almost sixty
- 14:01[SPEAKER_04]: How many times do you guys like almost look up some buddies?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_05]: A lot.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_05]: That's not interesting.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_05]: It's like an e-jerk to be like, well, we can figure it out.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_05]: And then I remember we can't because that's the whole thing.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't know that she'd be in House of Gooch.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_06]: Man.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_06]: What's say you?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_06]: How old is, uh, summer, hike?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, probably.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_06]: I could see her being a vegetable or fruit or eggs or something.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, she's got, she's got a good voice.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_05]: She acts.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_05]: And then in the house.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_06]: And then in maybe she's been in the magic.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_06]: My lucky.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, dude.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, brother.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_06]: Good to swing as any.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe let's swing it.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm a hack lock it in.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_04]: Happy year.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_04]: Fifty ninth birthday.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm a hack.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_06]: No way.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_04]: What are you all doing?
- 15:01[SPEAKER_04]: Sweet trick.

- 15:21[SPEAKER_06]: I remember.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_05]: We know she's funny.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_06]: So I mean, yeah, I was pretty sure she was in Magic Mike and I was like, maybe she voiced a fruit or vegetable.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_06]: Really great pool.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_06]: Man.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_06]: I'm probably going to call it.

- 16:00[SPEAKER_04]: Previous.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_04]: They call it a nine.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_04]: Previous.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_04]: One hundred and fifteen.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_04]: Born in nineteen sixty four.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to do a hundred and fifteen credits.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: Sixty one years old, right?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_04]: I'll go with sixty nine.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

- 16:48[SPEAKER_05]: Who knows?
- 16:50[SPEAKER_06]: We're waiting on sixty nine, right?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, are you actually?
- 16:54[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_05]: All right.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_05]: That's second.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_05]: What did you think was happening?
- 17:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you said sixty nine and then it felt like you were trying to decide.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: It's called filling out your account.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_04]: You did so well.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_04]: You tricked me.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_04]: Stop talking to me now.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_05]: Carter, we're bombing up here.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not doing a podcast too.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_05]: You.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_05]: I'm doing a podcast with you.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_04]: Dang.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_04]: Don't make me emotional.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna start crying.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_04]: Keep up the filling dude.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_04]: Just keep doing anything.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just gonna cut it all out.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_05]: It'll sound like you were instantly there.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's like I don't want to just take random shots when y'all have a specific number.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_04]: So I have to be so thoughtful to actually find actual one.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, it's your game to count.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_06]: The day the earth stood still.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_06]: Keanu Reeves.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_03]: We think he's sixty one.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, I don't need any more.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_06]: Let's keep going.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, remind me the number of credits.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_06]: One hundred.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: The Centennial film.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: It might not be counted.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: Sixty-one seems old to me.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: And also if he is sixty-one somebody tell me what he does because he is moving.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_04]: This SpongeBob movie.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_04]: Sponge on the run.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Feels like something Keanu would do.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: And for being honest.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_06]: Which day the Earth stood still was at the reboot or the surely not the original?
- 18:44[SPEAKER_06]: Reboot.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_05]: This person would be like a child in the original, yeah.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_04]: Not even born, maybe.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_04]: The original is so old.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_06]: Give me, how about one ten?
- 18:57[SPEAKER_06]: One ten, one one oh, eleven D. Yeah, give me one more one, actually.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_06]: One eleven.

- 19:09[SPEAKER_06]: Generations.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_06]: Is he, or is he voicemaking?
- 19:16[SPEAKER_06]: He did.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_06]: I'm pretty sure.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_06]: Keanu.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_06]: Keanu, lock it in.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_04]: Keanu, happy birthday.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_04]: One of my favorite people on Earth, I think.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_04]: I love Keanu Reeves.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_04]: He's making another constant team.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_04]: He's making a couple more John Wick.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_04]: He's got a romantic thriller.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be... This is what a sixty-year-old man looks like.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_06]: He's in the zirker.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_06]: Wait, so how old would he have been in the Matrix then?
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, third is?
- 20:02[SPEAKER_04]: Into the Matrix.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_04]: The Matrix revolution.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: First Matrix came out.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: Ninety-nine.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Ninety-nine, yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Ninety-nine.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_04]: Ninety-nine.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_04]: Ninety-nine.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_04]: Way to go Keanu.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_04]: Love you man.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_04]: Way to go Keanu.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_04]: That was a Star Wars board.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_04]: I think I might someday try and watch all of these.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_04]: One, fifteen.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_04]: I've certainly seen quite a few of them.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_06]: You try and do a full Keanu.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_04]: I might do it.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_04]: I might Keanu all of it, dude.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_04]: At least the movies.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_05]: At least catch the Keanu ones.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_05]: You can skip the key old ones.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_05]: That's so fun.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_04]: Have you heard the piano Reeves?
- 20:45[SPEAKER_04]: I love that.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god, what was the first guy that we did?
- 20:55[SPEAKER_04]: Tim Ke.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_04]: That Tim Ke and Keanu Reeves have the same birthday is amazing.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_05]: It makes sense.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: There's two of these three of these three of these birthdays, dude.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_04]: Salma Hayek.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_04]: Tim Keanu Reeves.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I bet they have great chemistry.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_05]: Salma is the same.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_05]: Salma Hayek's character in Thirty Rock is like,
- 21:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think the first time that I ever saw her be like really funny in things and Thirty rock was such a such an interesting place because there were so many people that I didn't know were funny until I saw them in thirty rock and then I was like oh, they're they're legitimately very funny That's why I was with John Hamm.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_06]: I did not know John.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, until I saw her sure
- 21:44[SPEAKER_05]: Kind of Matt Damon.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't really know Matt Damon was like funny until thirty rock.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_05]: But he's like forget he's in thirty funny.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_06]: Do you have another one for us?
- 21:56[SPEAKER_06]: Another what?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_06]: I thought Carter had another game for us.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_06]: You do.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_06]: I know I do.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_06]: I thought Carter had another one.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_04]: No, I just have the one.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_06]: Oh.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I've got a top ten for us.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_06]: Great.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sitting here being hit.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, man.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_06]: I thought it wasn't my turn yet.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_06]: I'm being patient.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_04]: We were all being so patient for each other.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_04]: Cute.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_06]: And it's really sweet.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_06]: It's sweet when you think about it.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_06]: Jordan was getting pretty antsy, but Carter and I were being patient.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_06]: Not a big patient sky.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_06]: The Top Tens.com.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_06]: Fortnite.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_06]: It's where it's where the who's who and the what's what's of the internet go to make their voices heard and let us know what they think about the world.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_06]: DVA fan too has compiled a list of the top ten best movies of twenty twenty five.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_06]: This list brings together the movies people can't stop watching quoting or recommending to their friends and sometimes anyone who will listen.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: Top ten of twenty twenty five.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_06]: The top ten of twenty twenty five and what they do mean is this year twenty twenty five.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see how recent.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_04]: I want to know what you guys think.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to say you ten.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_04]: Actually, no, I want to say K pop demon hunters.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_06]: Have you watched this now?
- 23:18[SPEAKER_06]: K-Pop Demon Hunters is number seven.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_06]: I swear this is the only actually good movie that came out this year.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_06]: All right, just with people with time, stop talking about all these bad movies.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_04]: A little time, you know?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, weapons.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_06]: Did see that.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_06]: newcomer, not ranked yet.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_06]: Has never seen enough votes to place on the list that is a strike.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's just about as old as K-Pop Demon.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_04]: I have honestly I have seen so many movies this year and what can't they give any of them naked the naked God naked God naked God naked God naked gun does not appear on this list and we're going down to twenty five naked guns not on here strike for Carter Skip breakfast skip lunch.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going straight to supper, man Oh, duh show me supper, man
- 24:20[SPEAKER_06]: Superman is eleven.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_06]: Just missed it.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_06]: Hell is this.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_06]: Just missed it.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_06]: Man, there's ten that are better than that.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_06]: Fantastic four.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm confused.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_05]: He's better because he said that number seven is the only good movie that came out this year.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_05]: No, that's what the user said.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_05]: What is the criteria?
- 24:43[SPEAKER_06]: Anyways, users are voting on this.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_06]: People just, the way it works is I could click a button that says add a suggestion and I type it in and then if it gets enough votes it moves up the list.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_06]: Gotcha.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_06]: Fantastic.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_06]: First steps.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_06]: First, let's see the smoothest.

- 25:07[SPEAKER_06]: No, it's two for you.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_06]: No, that was two for you.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_06]: I think
- 25:12[SPEAKER_06]: I really think I chose this list because I think if you guys consider the demographic of the top tens.com, you can figure out these movies that are going to be on.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_05]: I don't really remember any other movies that came out this year, if I'm being honest with you.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_05]: You can do it.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_05]: I believe I know you can do it.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_05]: We're a movie podcast, guys.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_05]: We aren't though.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_05]: We used to be.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_05]: We're just kind of a podcast that talks about some movies sometimes now.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_06]: We retired because we were the best in the game at movies.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_06]: So we should, this is like Michael Jordan coming to play and pick up round of hoops.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_03]: Did a Sonic cut this year?
- 25:57[SPEAKER_06]: Did a Sonic come out this year?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_06]: That's a great question.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_04]: Pick up.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_04]: Would you like to rub the hoops?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_06]: Would you like to spend a life line on that question?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_05]: No, I'm just going to Google what the newest Sonic is.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_06]: You can't phone a friend.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_06]: You just call somebody.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_06]: That was twenty twenty four for Sonic three so that can't.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so not not so much of twenty twenty five or Sonic three is.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_06]: So far you guys have said the only one The only one of the top ten is K-pop demon hunters.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_05]: I have a I have a guess here Did not me did uh was there was there a despicable this year?
- 26:38[SPEAKER_05]: That's a great question.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_06]: Would you like me to tell you?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_05]: No look it up You're being weird about it now.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want any of your help
- 26:56[SPEAKER_05]: Um, no, no, no officially theatrical release, despicable meme movie in twenty twenty five.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_05]: So we're covered on that.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_06]: You haven't even guessed all the movies we've seen together this year.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_05]: Um, that I mean, that that's probably true.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_05]: Um, just can't remember any of them is the problem.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_05]: The genuinely can't remember a single movie I've seen.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_05]: Other than Superman.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_05]: That's because they're all all look movies are bad now.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_05]: That's what people don't want to talk about movies used to be good.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_05]: I miss when movies are pretty good ones on here.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_05]: Just rolling the Rolling Stones in the Beatles when movies used to be good.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_05]: Wasn't there Jurassic something or other?
- 27:38[SPEAKER_06]: Wasn't there Jurassic something or other?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_06]: Final there.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_06]: Jurassic World, rebirth, twenty-three.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_06]: I'm out.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_06]: Carter, take it out.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_06]: My craft movie.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_06]: My craft movie is number one.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_06]: The best movie of twenty-twenty-five.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_06]: For the most part, this was the Harmus and Fun movie.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm just happy to watch with the friend.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_06]: Amazing.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_06]: Carter, how, how, how can you fly my friend?
- 28:07[SPEAKER_06]: Centers.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_06]: You got Minecraft and K-Pop Demon Hunters, and now you got Centers.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_06]: Number three.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_06]: Wait a minute.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_06]: Are you looking at a list of movies that released this year?
- 28:22[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_06]: Patty's gonna...
- 28:25[SPEAKER_06]: It feels like bringing a supplemental text like that should be penalized.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_05]: If he's looking at a list, I want to start over.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_05]: If he's looking at a list, I want to start over with a different top ten.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_05]: I was back in my brain trying to remember.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: Look at him.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: He did look at a list.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_06]: That's crazy.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_06]: That's crazy.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_06]: What am I supposed to do?
- 28:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, this wasn't surprise.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_06]: We were just like, hey, Carter, we're recording right now.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_06]: Surprise.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_06]: No way, dude.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_06]: I could have done this too if I had pulled up a list.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_05]: Oh man.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: I demand a recap.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I got K-pop without a list.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_04]: So we're tired.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's fine.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, you guys got number one Minecraft movie was king of number two there.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_06]: No.

- 29:28[SPEAKER_06]: Number eight.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_06]: How to train your dragon?
- 29:30[SPEAKER_06]: No matter what how to train your dragon is a beautiful statement about working with creatures rather than killing them.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think that's what it's about.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_06]: Right, man.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_06]: Number nine is F-One, the movie.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_06]: And number ten is Snow White.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_04]: If one was good, Snow White definitely not talked about in any good way.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_04]: But it was talked about.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_06]: That's true, but you know, the years basically over the beginning of September now.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_04]: It's kids, man.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_06]: Class of kids.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_06]: Jordan, I'm sorry, Carter did that to you.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's messed up.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's messed up and came in here doping, dude.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_05]: You genuinely, your, your, your bat was corked from the beginning.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_05]: Actually, it's true.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_05]: You got to hit, and then you're like, I need a little extra juice.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_04]: I got addicted to the adrenaline.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not proud of it.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: I don't sit here a proud man.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_05]: I pulled Tim Key from the Annel's of my mind.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_04]: You did so well.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_04]: And it's how he says.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_04]: And then Dost had sent my hat.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_04]: And here I was using a list.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_05]: And then you had a list.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I checked it twice.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_05]: How dare him believe it.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_05]: Just go to shout announcements right now.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm pulling your ear.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, no.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_05]: This is part of the show we give shout outs and making out since you're worth that was that one was like a tie fighter.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_04]: Imagine if all the tie fighters were replaced with that.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_06]: The shape that your mouth has to make to make the tie fighters say.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_04]: Like that we're calling it a tie fighter set as if it's like
- 31:36[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, Jordan, do your typhoider.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_04]: Did we ever do the bit with y'all where I would get Jake Davis to do an impersonation?
- 31:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_04]: We'd like being a big group and like, hey, Jake, you were just talking about what was your favorite scene?
- 31:53[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's when Treebeard is talking to the Hobbits in two towers.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_04]: What was the thing that just resonated with you?
- 32:00[SPEAKER_04]: And he would just be like,
- 32:02[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, don't forget to listen to me, my little boys.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_07]: Because they'll come a day.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_07]: No more witches.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_04]: And he would just like, right, I would just pull it from out of nowhere.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_05]: And that's kind of what we're doing here is pulling that's what we're doing.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_05]: We're here in chat announcements.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_05]: The one part of the show we freestyle everything else is scripted tight and written beforehand during our Patreon to see the Google Docs for all upcoming episodes.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you can see everything we're going to say every joke we're going to make written out in perfect clarity except for this part where we play Calvin ball with everything else
- 32:43[SPEAKER_05]: Mostly what we want to tell you is that that that that that discord the dos mentioned is a great place to spend a little bit of time hanging out with your homies if you jump on patreon you can become a member of the discord where we talk about book we talk about movie we talk about sports we talk about game we talk about tv show
- 33:06[SPEAKER_05]: Sometimes we talk about box office ball even sometimes.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_05]: Even we talk about box office ball even sometimes.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_04]: We might make sure we're dead again.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, I don't think we're ever going to win box office, but the three of us.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_04]: I've been hanging him pretty good.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_04]: You have to do a good job.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, fine, y'all are doing great.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's just me.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_04]: Well, come over there and beat me at box office ball.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, bars low.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_05]: You can be harder pretty easy bars pretty low.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_05]: If he doesn't have his cheat sheet, he's really beatable.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, he's insanely beatable if he doesn't Google the answers.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, how do you think?
- 33:44[SPEAKER_04]: How do you think I got my current job done?
- 33:47[SPEAKER_04]: You think I tried?
- 33:48[SPEAKER_06]: Quizlet.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_04]: I think I got to be Doctor Willis.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_05]: Google, how do you do my thesis?
- 33:57[SPEAKER_05]: We're back and we are continuing our discussion.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_05]: What has turned out to basically be an exploration of twenty-first century comedy movies with the back-to-back double-feature double-header, forty-three jump-street, twenty-one, and twenty-two together.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_05]: These movies are special.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_05]: We've been looking forward to them and these were sort of obvious shoe-ins for the series for us.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_05]: It was kind of a unanimous yes, of course, to these movies.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_05]: And I think on rewatch it was pretty obvious why.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_05]: But who do we think has gone the longest since their last watch of these movies?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's been a couple years for me, probably, two thousand eighteen or nineteen.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_06]: I had these.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_04]: These tend to be both of, they're always in tandem, which obviously we'll talk about because there's lots of even in comedy sequels to other comedy movies that would not.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_04]: I was, it's always on TV.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_04]: It feels like, at least once a week, twenty one or twenty two jumps straight on TV.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_04]: And if twenty ones there, you can just scroll through a little bit on the schedule and be like, yeah, there it is, twenty two.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, very recently.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was this year that I had seen like second half of twenty one into twenty two.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_05]: It's rare for I think for a comedy sequel to be quite as in conversation with the first movie as twenty two jump street is like a particularly in the way that we have Nick Offerman and Ice Cube just fully being like we're doing it again.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_05]: No changes and it worked the first time.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_05]: Just do it again.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_04]: Any conversation around both of these movies.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_04]: It feels like it's a world with no war.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like when you're talking about movies with people and someone has a favorite.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_04]: Like you get into the Star Wars world.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_04]: And someone could get pissed the hell off.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_04]: Like if you were like, no, no, no, no.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_04]: We don't even, this is the order that we watch these days, all that kind of stuff.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_04]: But there's something about twenty-one and twenty-two jump street that's like, I get it, man.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like all of a sudden, everybody's mind is really open.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_04]: to one being better than the other, but really both.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_04]: So if you don't know talking about, like, I've never had any kind of argument about.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_04]: And I do think I also waffle.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_04]: I think I've waffleed again.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_04]: I think I would have told you, twenty two was better.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_04]: I think after watching them both, again, I'm back to twenty one now.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_06]: I think I have to.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I think I'm firmly not.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_06]: I think I'm firmly the twenty-two is better.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_04]: They're both so great.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_04]: I got you guys not the perfect movies.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_04]: That's this is that and this is exactly what I'm talking about.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody's like nobody wants to fight me for my opinion.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think because I've been here.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_05]: We're at like a nine and a nine point one.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_05]: Like they're just like great.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_05]: So neck and neck and neck.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_05]: And they're so obviously great.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_05]: I think that like in in the conversation of two thousand some things comedies.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_05]: Not mentioning these would feel like a glaring omission.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_05]: Like if somebody was like, there's my list of best comedies from the last twenty years and they didn't mention these two movies.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, well, I don't need to see the rest of your list.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_05]: Like right.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_05]: You have invalidated yourself.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_04]: And for the comic cloud of Jonah Hill, I think it really for me is all about chaining Tatum.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_05]: Agreed.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_05]: I think it's totally agree.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_04]: It's so crazy.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_05]: The movie agrees.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_05]: It feels like to me.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_05]: It really feels like chaining Tatum is sort of like the center of both of these movies in my opinion.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know if it was kind of, sometimes it feels like Hollywood's like, hey, check out the, you didn't know the toy had this feature kind of thing sometimes if it's, we're bringing someone to comedy.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's like one thing for like our buddy Matt to go from rom-coms to be like an Oscar boy and then like do like interstellar and things like that.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_04]: to bring someone to comedy and have it work is pretty funny.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_04]: Like Liam, watching Liam Neeson in the naked gun was bizarre.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_04]: But that was just absurd.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: It was over the top.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, of course, it's just the stoic guy in a really cookie roll.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_05]: I also just think that I still have, you know, I like to think that for the most part, I do my best to like be open minded about people and not be incredibly judgmental.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_05]: But I still have this thing inside me that's like, the hot person's that funny.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_05]: That's not okay.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you can't have that.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_04]: Why is that happening today?
- 38:29[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_05]: Dude, his career.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, how is he funny?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_05]: That's annoying.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_04]: Chained him's career started in two thousand.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm looking at his credits.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_04]: He was in a Mountain Dew commercial and a Pepsi commercial in two thousand that I remember.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_04]: I remember him in these.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_04]: Well, like he stood yes, and then he was in Ricky Martin's Shebang's music video.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's one of the dancers.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_06]: Great.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_04]: I always make him coach hard.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_04]: He's just like, oh, he's so good.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_04]: So good, she's the man hilarious.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_04]: And even then, and she's the man in a comedy, he's like, not trying to be, he's not the funny guy.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_06]: No, right.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_06]: I forgot he was in Jupiter ascending.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_06]: Oh,
- 39:29[SPEAKER_05]: Pretty funny.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_05]: That's crazy.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, there probably was a scene where they had to make that move.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_04]: That very move.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_04]: I remember.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_05]: There was something about that scene.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_05]: The spring break like dance fight that felt very.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_05]: Our are very Bollywood to me.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_05]: And it just makes me want Channing Tatum to be in a Bollywood movie so badly.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_05]: Please, it would make me very happy.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_05]: I think there is, so we could obviously go on and on and on about like quote scenes from these movies and we definitely can, but I think the writing feels so tight in these movies.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_05]: The mystery, particularly the way that we flip everything on its head and the second movie and say like
- 40:18[SPEAKER_05]: You know, in movie one, Captain was correct about his judgment, and we followed what he did, but maybe we messed up in this movie.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_05]: Um, and I think that the way that they are able to do the second movie in like, call attention to the fact that it's like, yeah, we're doing it again, like when.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_05]: You know, really, really wanted to run it back and so we're running it back and change nothing.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_05]: Do everything exactly the same because it worked last time.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_06]: I think the fact that Nick Offerman is really the only one with a meta tone in the first movie.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_06]: And he's like, we're just we're rebooting the Jump Street program because we're breaking out of the fresh idea.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_06]: And then they took that tone and applied it to the whole script of the second movie.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_06]: I think that's my second edges out first a little bit to maybe sure.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_06]: Twenty two Jump Street is is satirizing its own existence.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_06]: And also the escalation of sequels.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_06]: When it's like, well, now they have all these spy gadgets and ice cubes as his office looks like some place Iron Man would work.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's, I think the script for the second one is so, so well written.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_06]: It really is.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_06]: Not to diminish the first.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_06]: The first is also really well written, but the second to me takes it up.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_06]: an additional escalation of satirizing itself, satirizing its predecessor and sequels in general.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, the ending credits like showing all the different sequels they're going to do is very, very funny.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe my favorite moment of twenty two jump street when we get all the way through forty something jump street.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_05]: I think that counting I were talking after we finished this yesterday.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_05]: There if we had two different lists if we had a quotes list and a scenes list.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_05]: Twenty one twenty two jump street would probably appear on the quotes list a couple of times as well, but I think for my money.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_05]: then that my favorite scene seen single scene in any of the movies that we will be reviewing is Channing Tatum putting the pieces together that Jonah Hill slept with ice cubes daughter.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_05]: The ticking clock when he realizes what happened and he realizes that ice cube high five team about it.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, rip roaring reveal in the theaters.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_04]: I saw a twenty two jump street in theaters.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, fun.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_04]: And everybody's reaction there.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_04]: It is because there is just so much.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_04]: We do know that.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Cuba's been in funny stuff.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_04]: He was in the Friday movies, but it's also still the... Are we there yet?
- 42:54[SPEAKER_04]: Jonah Hill, Jonah Hill just feels like the... There's still parts of it that's like he feels like the only one that belongs, even though Channing has shown that he's funny.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_04]: But with the three of them, it's just like, what is happening right there?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_05]: I will always finish great.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_05]: The scene where Jonah Hill is like...
- 43:14[SPEAKER_05]: Can he please get some water?
- 43:16[SPEAKER_05]: He's black.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_05]: He's been through a lot.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_05]: And then when he stops to the buffet and he gets mad at the guy for rationing the green beans.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_05]: Shubs his hand in the bowl and slams him on his plate.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_04]: There's just so much man.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_04]: Jonah Hill's slam poetry like
- 43:43[SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah, that's like, that gets quoted quite a bit.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_05]: I hear that quoted often.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_05]: I also think this reminded me that, well, two things, two important things.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_05]: One, Dave Franco is in every way the superior Franco.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_05]: He's better looking.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_05]: He's more talented at his funnier.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_05]: But number two, I need more Rob Riggle in my life.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_05]: Rob Riggles when I started.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_06]: When we started game night, there was a part of me that forgot Kyle Chandler was the older brother.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_06]: And I was, I was Rob Riggles.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_06]: I was expecting Rob Riggles.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_06]: And I think it's because he plays Schmitt's older brother in New Girl.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_04]: I was, we were expecting him.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_06]: Doosh bag older brother.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_04]: John Ham.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think it's because he would have fit that too.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_04]: John Ham would have been great.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_05]: We got to see where he is.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_05]: He thinks that chaining Tatum is the athletic one, but they messed up their cover stories.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_05]: So Jonah, he'll have to like, no, it's me.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_05]: Actually, it's me, I'm the one.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there's just so many movies.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that's like, game night, game night is funny.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_05]: And pineapple expresses funny, but this is the the mark of when I start to just be like, man, the whole movie I'm laughing from start to finish of both of these movies.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_05]: I'm laughing.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_05]: every scene every moment.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_05]: There's there's hardly a scene that doesn't make me at least chuckle in both of the movies.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_04]: There's such a power.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's a very good comedy duo.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's trying hundreds of hundred percent.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, just that duo.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think?
- 45:22[SPEAKER_04]: Dwayne the Rock Johnson and Kevin Hart.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_04]: We're just wanting to be Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think they just wanted that vibe?
- 45:29[SPEAKER_03]: Probably.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_04]: I guess they've got different sticks, but I don't know.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_05]: I just think that way they don't want to put that flavor at least.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_06]: It's a little rush hour, too, of like release really action heavy, strong guy doing comedy.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe Channing's not
- 45:51[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I guess the rock's not really like Jackie Chan very much either, huh?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_05]: It's different though.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_06]: It's pretty opposite.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_06]: They're about our partners.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_06]: Ice cube and Jonah Hill.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_05]: Let's think about Jackie.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_05]: Let's think about Jackie Chan and Chan and Chan first.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_05]: Jackie Chan and Tatum, if you will.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_05]: The thing that they both bring, I think, is like expertise in a super physical art.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_05]: Athleticism and also, oops, super funny and very charming.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_05]: And we have the same thing with Channing Tate.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, his is dancing, but I mean, it translates to a physicality that he has.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_06]: And like all martial arts, the dancing of fighting.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_05]: That's true.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_06]: I've heard that.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_05]: He does have like a physicality to him that feels very like kinetic.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_05]: Like it always feels like Channing Tate.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_05]: I'm could explode into action, which is why.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_05]: Who doesn't even dive in through a gong.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_05]: I've heard it.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_06]: Or
- 46:41[SPEAKER_06]: him head first through the gong kills me every time.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's so funny.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_05]: That entire the breakdown of what the drugs are making them feel is fun every time and also I do just want to say just since we're kind of waxing poetic about these movies, I do just want to point out
- 46:59[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe one of the funniest scenes in any movie we will be watching for this is Jillian Bell fighting Jonah Hill.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_05]: And she keeps trying to make it like a thing where they're gonna kiss.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_05]: And she's like, you're Mr. Mrs. Smithing me.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, I am not doing that.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_06]: Did you read the trivia where he was like, she is, she was a really difficult improv partner because he was like, she is constantly saying the funniest thing for seeing.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_06]: So then I don't know what to say.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: And she, because to me, the difference is like, Jonah Hill is an actor first and funny second.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_05]: And Julian Bell is like unbelievably funny.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_05]: She is one of the best parts of work of hollocks.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_05]: And yeah.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_05]: It is not surprising to me that coming from that environment and coming to twenty two jump street that she is.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_05]: steam rolling anybody that is not like top of their game with improv because she I've never not thought she's the funniest part of anything she's in.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_05]: Do you know that Eddie Murphy Christmas movie we watched?
- 48:03[SPEAKER_05]: Was she?
- 48:04[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, she was the shop owner.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_06]: What's she for any?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_06]: I that movie was probably the funniest I've ever seen.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so
- 48:15[SPEAKER_04]: I don't remember.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_06]: I think I blogger is anything good about that movie.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_06]: I think I probably said where he lived.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_06]: He turned it to a toy.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_06]: Right?
- 48:22[SPEAKER_04]: No, he did.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_04]: I turned it to a toy.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_04]: He lived the twelve days of Christmas.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_04]: Did I?
- 48:26[SPEAKER_04]: Did I?
- 48:26[SPEAKER_04]: Did I watch live them?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_06]: You did watch this as it was on the channel.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_06]: A hundred percent.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_06]: You're revealing right now that you never did podcasts.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_05]: I've only ever done that for one movie and you did it too.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't think that's the case.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_05]: Murphy what movies was this right now this when we when we lied to you by watching gilly candy can't lane yeah
- 48:51[SPEAKER_06]: You watched this.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_06]: We have a good one.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_05]: How long?
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 49:11[SPEAKER_06]: It's funny that in the first jump street, you can tell Nick Offerman's kind of just like, let's get this guy.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_06]: And then in the second jump street, you're like, hey, can you take a long lunch during Parks and Rec to come to your scene?
- 49:23[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, a hundred percent.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_05]: It felt very similar with specifically Rob Riggle and Dave Franco, where both obviously they were just like, can we all just come and do one thing for us real quick?
- 49:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_05]: Because I remember watching it the first time in thinking that it was going to be a sound to the lambs thing where they kept going back to Rob Riggles character to solve the case.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_05]: And then they didn't.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_05]: But then also it felt the same with like Johnny Pemberton and the nerds from the first movie that they were just like, can y'all continue too quick see the end or they're like, and also us.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_05]: And also we're here.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_05]: And also we're here.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_05]: The guy from the first twenty one jumps here.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_05]: I think his name is Dax Flame.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_05]: Huh?
- 50:05[SPEAKER_05]: So funny dude.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_05]: This this guy.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_05]: I follow him on TikTok.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_05]: He is like
- 50:13[SPEAKER_05]: He is, I think, the perfect example of somebody that has tapped into what, like, new age, comedy, funny is.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_05]: And just has this, he is, like, the perfect, you either get his whole thing or you just don't.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_05]: There's no real in between with Axel and when it comes to his humor.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like you either think he's hilarious or you're just like, nah, I do not get this man whatsoever.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_05]: But sort of the two, the two chunks method.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_05]: It kind of like the two chunks method a little bit.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_05]: But I can't handle the nerd group in the first movie, particularly them getting out of the limo with the doves and the the women of the night, the sex workers that they bring from the precinct to be their dates upon.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_04]: The doves is so face off.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_04]: It is so.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_06]: John Woo.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, one hundred percent.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_06]: Channing Tatum's nerd awakening in the first movie.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_06]: I love it.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_06]: I love it.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_06]: It reminds me a lot of my friend Mason who has recently in the last like two or three years of his life.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_06]: We got him to read Stormlight and he's like, oh.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_06]: I actually think I really like all this nerd stuff.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, nerd stuff reading great books now.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_05]: And he's like, he's a firefighter.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_05]: And he's like an athlete.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_05]: And then he's just like, oh, I like nerd stuff now.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_05]: It's very, very similar.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, changing tape and blowing up the bottle is like, this is what you guys do all day.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_05]: Do it again.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_05]: That whole scene is phenomenal.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_06]: In twenty two jump street him taking a swing when Patton Oswald asks him a question.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_06]: He wasn't paying attention taking a swing at COVID bonds.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_06]: So funny.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_05]: I think this thing that has made twenty one went out for me just a little bit this first time is the switch that we get of Channing Tatum being like
- 52:07[SPEAKER_05]: Why don't I cool anymore and Joe to helping like, oh, I am cool now.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_05]: And I think part of what made it work is it is one back again.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_05]: Like today, if they made twenty one jump straight today, Channing Tatum's character would be cool again, because like, you know, cruelty's back on the menu boys and so like, like,
- 52:24[SPEAKER_05]: Chaining Tatum's character, not caring about things and being a loof and just wanting to like fist fight people would be cool again, but at the time it went.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_05]: And so it was just like such a weird, I found some hope in being like, maybe it's just a pendulum.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_05]: And maybe in six years will be like, oh, it's nice that people like care about other people again.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_05]: That's really cool.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_05]: And put these back.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, cross my mind.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_05]: I know it's a sin to be empathetic, but I'm hoping that Jesus has never left us in slide.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_06]: You should never do that.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I could be watching sausage party not vegetable tails.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_06]: I think we watch vegetable tails.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, the specifically the like, are you two strapping?
- 53:02[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, everybody's two strapping.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna put my, no, dude, stick with it.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_05]: You just got a one strapping.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_05]: That entire opening sequence where he punches the kid and tells him to turn his music off because of a very, two thousand's reason to say it.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_05]: And then he's like, you punched me because I'm gay.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_05]: He says, no, I punch you and you turned out to be gay.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_05]: And from the ground, he says, I was gay when you punched me.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, the whole sequence is brilliant, man.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_05]: It's just too good.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_04]: There's definitely a moment break.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_04]: I was just going to say you can't tell the difference between improvisational scenes and the writing because it is all just
- 53:48[SPEAKER_04]: in sync completely like it's just sure so good.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I was going to say.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_06]: I was going to say I think a strength of both of these movies.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_06]: I'm thinking of the first one in particular right now because I'm stuck on Channing Tatum demolishing the band hall.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_06]: I really think they just set it up like a rage room and they were like Channing go for it dog.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_06]: Just do what you're going to do.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_05]: What does he say when he's spinning the symbols?
- 54:10[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, y'all they see this before y'all they see this before y'all they see this before just spinning symbols and this.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's too good.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_05]: It's too good.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_05]: But we're seeing Jonah Hill again next week, which is exciting.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_06]: And two movies in a row where our lead does fall in love with a high schooler, which I don't love.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_05]: At least this one, it was clarified that she was eighteen.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_05]: Did they do that?
- 54:40[SPEAKER_05]: And Pineapple Express, I can't remember.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember that.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_04]: He kept making sure that people knew that she was eighteen.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_05]: So, I mean, at least that's good.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_05]: So, yeah, I think I'm fine with that.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's fine.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's fine with my favorite part.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's cool with me.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's totally fine.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_05]: I think it's cool with me.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_05]: Found a troubling.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_05]: Again, I just want to say
- 55:02[SPEAKER_05]: Two chunks in a hunk would like to express their distaste and their negative opinion on adult-stating high schoolers.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_05]: Don't do that.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_06]: Here is what I'll say.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_06]: And this is the official position of two chunks in a hunk.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_06]: You may date a high schooler if you meet the following criteria.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_06]: You're in high school.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_06]: There you go.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_06]: Here you go.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_06]: And you know what?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_06]: That's it.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_06]: That's our only rule.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not afraid to say it either.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_06]: I'm home with it.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_06]: Let's write this on your gadget.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_05]: Should we write them together like as forty three jump screen?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_05]: And we're going to ready using the scientific cinema scale, which is perfect.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_05]: And as follows, the best thing we could ever say about a movie or two movies combined into one is own it, don't lend it by and post up those posters.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_05]: The next best thing is by that's followed by rent it and then stream it.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_05]: After that is forget it and last but certainly least the worst thing we could ever say about it.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_05]: God have foreseen us.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_05]: I'm buying the poster for forty three jump straight, but specifically I'm buying the fake twenty three jump straight medical school poster that they made because it's so funny.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I just think that if I'm not buying the poster for these two movies.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_05]: what comedy am I buying the poster for?
- 56:19[SPEAKER_05]: I just think that like these are these last four movies for this series are like cream of the crop for me personally and if I'm being honest with myself these are when I think of like oh we should watch a funny movie these are always on the list so yeah
- 56:37[SPEAKER_06]: It's a poster for me as well.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_06]: I'm specifically buying the poster for forty three jump street Mariatchi school, which is the actual title of forty three jump street in the credits of this movie.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_04]: I did think they get that.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_04]: They got that high.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to it's a high buy.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's a high buy for me.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_04]: It is just
- 57:00[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe Channing Tatum is one of the funniest people in Hollywood.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_04]: And that makes me, I think it's just jealousy to be honest.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's the only thing that keeps me from just straight up saying it.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_04]: He is already to the point because he doesn't feel, he got started pretty young and he doesn't feel like an old actor.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_04]: But he's to the point now where he just shows up in friends movies and cameos.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_04]: Like to get to that point, you're a pretty special personality, and Hollywood.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_04]: And then, like in the, you know, just talking about the lines and stuff, good, like bullet train.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_04]: He was just randomly in bullet train.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_04]: He was randomly, oh, yeah.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_04]: It felt like he was randomly in the new bed Deadpool movie, but he's coming back for Tuesday.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_04]: So there you go.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_05]: I haven't watched.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_05]: This is the end.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_04]: I have not known.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_05]: And this is the end.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_05]: He is, I think it's David Brad.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_05]: It's somebody.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_05]: He is their gimp.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_05]: Like he's in like a gimp costume.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_05]: And he like has to unzip the mouth to be like, hey guys, that's a gimp, take them.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_05]: Because everybody's playing themselves in the movie.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_05]: So I've just, it's really funny.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_05]: Um, yeah.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, this is, uh,
- 58:20[SPEAKER_05]: I'm making sure I'm not thinking of the wrong movie or the wrong person.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_05]: No, it definitely is.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's so funny.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_05]: He's just down the cloud.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_05]: We got super bad next week.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we do.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_05]: Which is an episode.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be super good.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_05]: Whoa.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_05]: Make sure you tune in for that.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_05]: Been a minute.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_05]: To in today's episode, I'd like for each of us to say our name and which of the fictional jump street sequels we would most like to see.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_05]: made for two chunks in a hunk.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_05]: It's got to be a dance class.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_05]: Just dance class because Channing Tatum dancing and teaching Jonah Hill to dance would be phenomenal.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_01]: It would make me really happy.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at a list right here now.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_06]: I'm really, really interested in two, one, two, one, jump street.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_06]: This space.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, sure.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_06]: I want to send them to space because I think it's going to be like an Armageddon situation where it's easier to teach a cop to go to space than just to teach an astronaut to be a cop.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_06]: There's some sort of space crime that they have to solve.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_06]: It's good.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm Carter and Jump Street generations.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_04]: Looks like such a mess.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_04]: And it's the kind of mess that I think we didn't enjoy watching.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_05]: That's so funny.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_05]: They also, I think they had one that was like, man or school or something like that that was really funny to me, but to the next week for Super Bad.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: We love you.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_01]: We love you.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: Love you guys.
